It was honestly so refreshing to see Satoru finally acknowledge what y/n means to him and no matter how much he tries she might still be the most important thing to him in the end. Honestly it was a cathartic moment they both needed at the lake but still 😭 my heart is hurting so much for them. To finally stand face to face and acknowledge the hurt, to hold each other 😭😭 They both really needed that. Her avoiding y/n to not make her angry or trouble her, I understand; but it just seems to me that she's making excuses to lessen her guilt and run away so she doesn't have to see what she did to her best friend. LIKE SHE'S SO FRICKING EAGER to play house with Satoru and when Sachi called her mama she was overjoyed. It's just so... sus. Chapter 7 Update Thoughts

There’s a lot to say really 😅 but I guess right now, as someone who’s seen a lot of the big theories, I’m so happy to see those that are coming true while at the same time seeing new things that Twst is introducing

Spoilers underneath the cut! I may update this post as I hear more tls, so look forward to more things about this chapter that will appear 👀 just a note that I'm getting pretty much everything I know from Discord and Twitter lmao

So this update focuses on 4 characters: Idia, Yuu + Grim, Ortho, and Silver

So contrary to popular belief, Malleus’ spell did in fact reach Ignihyde and now Idia’s asleep

I find it neat that when Idia’s phone vibrates, ours does too. Love the immersion

SO IDIA DREAM WILD AS FUCK BECAUSE ORTHO’S ALIVE 😭😭😭😭 AND HE’S IN ROYAL SWORD ACADEMY broooooo Ortho’s teenage voice hurts my heart,,,,,, the things that could have been,,,

They just talk about,, from the very little context that I could get, it’s about the first day, like how oh Idia’s the dorm leader of Ignihyde and such

Then after that, Idia chats with Muscle Red

AND THEN IDIA GOES OUTSIDE??? IN HIS ROBES???? Holy shit you gotta like sit down and think here. So this is the first day, so entrance ceremony, right? In the robe stories of Idia and Ortho, Idia would only be going out because Ortho pushed him to, but eventually Idia ended up just being in his room and brought his tablet 😭 but here he’s going outside on his own volition,,,, the mans is happier wtf

Speaking of robe stories ! They actually kinda follow Robe Idia’s story in that Idia encounters Malleus! AND THEY TALK ABOUT GAOGAO DRAGON BECAUSE MALLEUS’ TAMAGOCHI WENT OFF 😭😭😭 it’s the way they bonded with that small thing

Just realized as I’m typing this, Malleus is actually in his robes 👀 so here, he’s actually prepared for the entrance ceremony vs in the real story, where he didn’t know about it.

At some point in the conversation, Idia's like "I've seen this somewhere before" and Malleus is like "something wrong Shroud?"

Then Lilia actually arrives and finds Malleus and calls both dorm leaders to the ceremony

And hooo boy this part really got me because it’s the prologue 😭😭😭 Riddle, Leona, and Azul were talking and introducing themselves and GODDDD I GOT CHILLS JUST HAVING THIS PART OF THE PROLOGUE AGAIN

Malleus actually introduces himself! And as expected everyone’s pretty nervous and all that

The entrance ceremony went without a hitch and Idia’s back in his room where he’s talking with Ortho. Ortho mentions his roommates and that’s all I could figure out

Throughout the entire dream, Idia’s like something feels wrong………. Eh, it’s nothing

Then shift to Yuu and Grim!

AND THEY ARE IN MICKEY’S ROOM FROM THRU THE MIRROR

Ok so Yuu remembers what happened, and I find it interesting that there’s no voice when they’re remembering Malleus going berserk and shit.

Anyway, they wake Grim up and they’re just admiring the room all like yo is this Ramshackle??? But also no, it isn’t Ramshackle……

And then they see some of the objects coming alive like the ottoman and the trump cards and that was so cool

AND you know that by seeing that room in Yuu’s dream,!you would figure out that we’re about to see someone important B)

IT’S HIM IT’S THE RAT IN THE FLESH !!!! 🫵🫵🫵🫵

Yuu and Mickey did a high five 🥹🥹🥹🥹 it’s so cute oml, and Grim finally got to see Mickey in the flesh.

And THEN the dream starts to collapse on them. And well actually what I mean by that is that a gloop of ink drops onto them

It’s called Meet in a Dream. The kanji literally says ‘let’s see the same dream’ which is whoa. Silver explains what his UM does but it’s explained much later and I want to get through this chronologically so this part gets cut off and we switch to Ortho’s <3

Ortho ends up in the cyberspace and he was able to log his memories to a backup file. So yea he’s pretty alarmed and then he goes to check up on Idia

Idia is asleep and Ortho tries to wake him up but fails to. He goes around Ignihyde to see if anyone’s awake but then nope everyone’s also asleep

Ortho sees Main Street and pretty much the entire Sage Island and well shit ! Everything’s covered up in thorns!

So Ortho is like what do I do and then he sees Idia’s tablet and it says 21:18, which is the time that he also saw when he was in the cyberspace. And he's like oh shit time stopped

Anyway meanwhile in Styx, everyone’s noticing the energy field surrounding Sage Island. And we get to see the Shroud parents!

why they out here looking like power rangers

damn, Ortho really takes after them

So anyway Ortho eventually arrives and then explains to them about the situation with Malleus, and everyone's like damn

Shroud parents will contact Briar Valley for info on how to stop Malleus, and then meanwhile they created the Cerberus gear for Ortho so that he could enter the energy field

what's funny is that they actually had to go through Idia's computer HKSDFJHHDSKFS to be able to make the gear, they needed some of the files that Idia has for Ortho so that they could even make the gear in the first place. Mama Shroud was like "pls don't tell your brother" and Ortho's like "oh my god how did you get past my brother's ultra mega tight security" well it's ok, mama shroud didn't check Idia's hidden encrypted folder...........

Can I just say, I absolutely love Mama Shroud’s voice LIKE!!! She is so cute, AND SHE CALLS IDIA AND ORTHO IDI-KUN AND ORU-KUN UEUEUEUUEUE SO CUUUUUTE

ANYWAY CERBERUS ORTHO IN THE FLESH !!!

And then it switches back to Yuu, Grim, and Silver B)) so they end up in a really dreamy sky at first...... and then they start falling.

idk about you but it lowkey reminded me of The Incredibles where Dash, Violet, and their mom fell from the airplane. Probably because the sky colors are similar

But also man, that sunset really such a pretty color

anyway, they end up in Diasomnia, and Silver tells them that it's Diasomnia dorm in a dream

He explains to them how Meet in a Dream works: basically he can enter someone's dream, but he can't choose whose dream he enters. He won't know till he sees this glowing blue bird around a person and only he can see it. He also can only enter the dreams of people he has some sort of bond with. So it weirds him out that he saw Mickey at one point when he doesn't know him. Also, he can only use it when he’s at least aware that he’s dreaming, which makes sense.

He also explains to them that that inky darkness they encountered?? It might still be lurking around and he's encountered it before apparently. It pulls you into a deeper sleep

well shit.

Silver says that they need to get to Lilia’s dream to find a way to stop Malleus, but yea because he can’t choose which dream to enter to, it’s not gonna be the easiest

Then they encounter Sebek, and Silver sees that blue bird and oh it's Sebek's dream!

Sebek's like HEY IT'S A HAPPY DAY MALLEUS AND LILIA ARE HAVING A CELEBRATION TO GO OUT TO THEIR INTERNSHIP IN THEIR FOURTH YEAR

But yeah when they're there, SILVER FUCKING SNAPS. because Lilia was saying "after the internships are done, we can settle back into our cottage and be together forever". And Silver's like the real Lilia wouldn't live long enough

Malleus gets really fucking pissed, and he's like how dare you're awake and you ruined this happy dream. And his OB form shows up, and oh shit! Time to battle him again!

Lookie lookie we see his phantom! It really is Maleficent’s dragon form!

Andddddd that HP is horrible again, we’re meant to lose again

So anyway Malleus was gonna send them all to a really deep sleep when Silver's amulet that Lilia gave him earlier on starts glowing an aurora colored light, and then Silver's able to use Meet in a Dream, and then bam they end up in a forest that is exactly like the forest from Sleeping Beauty !!!

And then suddenly oh shit a bunch of soldiers come in and their garb looks like Maleficent’s minions from the movie

Sebek can understand them!

And then ..!!!

VIRION WATCHING HIS DAD SLAUGHTER THEIR ENTIRE PARTY/FRIENDS/FAMILY. dakota being lost in the crowd after losing his parents, knowing something bad is happening but not knowing exactly what, catching glimpses of the fight and the blood and the horror but still not fully understanding, not knowing how or if he'll ever find his parents again and that manifesting in his thinker powers. also that zone/quick/farsight thing holy FUCK thats so failsafe. "loss of autonomy, being situationally restricted/overwhelmed" manifesting as sensing people in his immediate environment. "results from tunnel vision in views/character, incorrect perceptions" (can we say dakota damascus hero worship!) manifesting as powers that go beyond the usual senses (fear/pain sense!). i honestly think the Quick part would come more from his second trigger, which is what gives him the Mover powers right? "panic, frantic inability to solve problems, rushed errors" <- not being able to catch katori in time, making the split second decision to fall after her, manifesting as his mover/thinker powers. being able to make those split second decisions midair and Actually Accomplish them, but by the time he triggered they were already too close to the ground and he couldnt save her anyway (<< and theres the tragic irony)

ohhhh i didnt mean to go off so much about failsafe but that just gave me a lot of feelings about his triggers :( ANYWAY THINKING ABOUT ASHE NOW. GOD. OKAY. right now. how are we feeling about Shaker/Breaker. ok ok im having a lot of thoughts here bear with me. idk if u have a more clear trigger for him in mind but the thing ive been thinking about all day since u sent me that first ask is. the call going out to evacuate because simurgh is coming. ashe's mom has to go get him from school and its a mad rush with all of the other parents trying to do the same thing. instead of immediately leaving, they go back to the house for some reason (she forgot something important? maybe her phone so she had no way to contact mark/see if he was okay? idk i havent worked that out yet.) and shes just. running around frantically grabbing things getting ready to leave and ashe is standing in the doorway not knowing what to do or how to help. and its like an earthquake hits. (i just keep thinking about chris's death and how fucking. sudden and brutal it was it has stuck with me for some reason). something big or heavy falls on her and just . immediately crushes either one or both of her legs. totally unable to move. and ashe starts panicking and shes obviously panicking but trying so hard to keep it together not to scare ashe anymore than he already is. and she tells him to go, tells him to follow the other people who are leaving, maybe find one of their neighbors and go with them. (side note here. if she got her phone. i want her to text mark here and tell him to come home. something really short and terrifying and panic inducing that breaks him out of his hesitation. "need help, come home, cant leave" something like that. worlds most miserable man these are the last words he has of his wife aha) ashe doesnt want to leave his mom! hes just a kid he doesnt know what the endbringers are or why theyre so scary or why THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR is so bad!! she keeps telling him not to worry, that dad will meet him there when hes safe, ashe immediately asks something like "but what about you?" and its very. disney movie parent dying level of tragedy. he triggers when she eventually cant hold it together anymore either from the pain or the panic and just starts. screaming at him. ashe you need to go you cant stay here you need to leave me im not coming with you etc etc etc.

ANYWAY. ALL THIS TO SAY. shaker powers come from environmental/ambient danger. i.e. a literal endbringer attack. maybe the house isnt structurally sound anymore but he doesnt want to leave his mom. breaker powers come from . well this is more of me maybe forcing the issue but i want the trickster to be a separate form or something. the abstract stressors here being. he knows something bad is happening but he doesnt know exactly what. he knows his mom cant move but he wants her to be able to so she can leave with him, shes yelling at him telling him to go, he doesnt know where his dad is, he doesnt want to go by himself. etc etc do you feel the vision here. taking this directly from that last paragraph about breakers too but like "knowing a situation is dangerous but not wanting to leave" yknow!!!!! i dont know exactly how this would manifest yet but goddd just. imagining it as something like. his shaker powers are the ones he can actually control and use normally but the trickster/breaker powers is what he turns into in situations similar to his trigger, where someone he loves is in danger. but the irony of it is that he cant really control his actions as the trickster and he just kind of. goes berserk on whatever is around him. absolutely brutal, maybe a little sadistic; its kind of perfect for situations like overlord where they do actually need to kill someone to get out of the situation, but with things like his trigger. well. the only living thing around him was his mom. so . wasnt pretty. is this anything . im in so much pain about this

final FINAL side note. i know we have mark as a cauldron cape but even if we didnt i think both his classifications working so fucking well ESPECIALLY tinker "solutionless problems over long periods, resulting in a crisis moment" what is more of a solutionless problme than knowing you and your son have been marked by the simurgh and deciding that instead of following protocol youre going to say fuck it all and get the two of you out of there by. nuking your entire lives and faking new identities and struggling to bounce back from somehting like that all while knowing the inevitability of. the fact that youve BEEN MARKED BY THE FUCKING SIMURGH. Today's rewatch includes:

Ep 13 - "Help Is Not Coming": On number three we have 2x03 not because it's bad but because the other two are sooooo good. I do have to say my girl hen shines in this one, and god that bit where she makes the vn saying bye to karen KILLS ME all the time. Also honorable mention to the bit where buck calls ali "abby" lmao OH MAN and also OFC another great bit is buck driving eddie to christopher's school and we get that wholesome hug between eddie and chris and buck watching at what's going to be his future familyyyy, i'm not crying again

OH, also, Bathena here kills meeeeee, when bobby calls athena and she picks up the phone saying "How's my man doing?" GODDDD THE THOUGHT OF ANGELA BASSET SAYING THAT TO ME OVER THE PHONEEEEEE, PETER KRAUSE YOU ARE STRONGER THAN ME! But also when bobby's like: "I need to see you, i'm at the front of your house" like ok ok we get it bobby you're a man in love <3 i'm in love with them

Ep 66 - "Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1": On number two, one of the most rewatched 911 episodes i believe. This one's so good, but my favorite bits are of course 'pretty boy and the kid', getting to see more ravi getting involved in their emergencies and the last part where he goes to have breakfast with bobby, hen handling that surgery like the badass she is and eddie in distress when he's held hostage in the ambulance. Man what an episode! Honorable mention to bruised and stressed buck, he gets hit with the a gun, pushed to the floor and handcuffed, he thinks his partner was shot and he only gets a tiny bandaid in his forehead lol I LOVE HIM

Ep 24 - "Broken": My number one! I have to say i'm a sucker for the episodes where we see dispatch going out of their usual ways to help the people, and this one, where they have to handle everything manually because their system is down? oh man, it's just chef kiss! My favorite bits, aside from everything done in dispatch, was the pregnancy call, so emotional, so intense, we get invested hen and a millisecond of buck holding a tiny baby, eddie emotional as well and buck calling the whole bit where the simple act of a mother holding her baby SAVES HER LIFE, a MIRACLE! i'm crying once again! Also, eddie going all spiderman saving a kid from a fire, chimney helping his team even from afar and A SUDDEN barely there but super important reappearance of TOMMY, saving the day!!! that tommy's soooo cool *sighs*

Honorable mentions for broken: Madney breaking my heart over their shared trauma after the whole doug thing... and michael and bobby struggling with the issues of raising their kids as dad and stepdad. Love it, love them all, love this fucking show soooo much!

Now onto my next one, which is 3x06, aka Monsters

watched more bmw ok we're so close we're inching towards the finish line here... couldn't incessantly liveblog because my phone was charging so: 1. shawn was sucking and fucking like crazy while on the road we just didn't see it because it wasn't relevant to cory's journey etc 2. resurrection is PROBABLY the best if not 2/3rd best episodes of the season even if it just more ridiculous angst it does sort of work in conjunction with chet's death and eric moving out and tommy and shawn coming back etc etc this season is stupid angsty misogynistic mess but at least it did sort of come together at the end? maybe they were just trying to lead it all to that point which is why certain narratives are so forced sometimes 3. eric being perceptive and knowing his friends and being good with kids <3 it's such a bummer the way it goes but I actually like the premise of him moving out and rachel and jack literally not knowing what to do with themselves anymore without him! like when he takes that stupid rubber duck with him last minute and flashes them a smile and it's like oh. this place is nothing if he's not there to bring life to it.... ugh. eric :( 3.5. jack and rachel saying they don't want anything to change and eric going you guys don't get it already has changed it will never be the same again... like again he's the only one who understood the way these relationships mattered he's smart!! and jack and rachel just fundamentally don't Get It because well they don't really fucking like each other that much... also ummm what if you can never ever ever go back :// 4. I forgot this the choice of name for the baby was between JOSHUA and DANIEL... are you kidding... the worst guy you know vs the chillest ambiguously gay person you've ever met... I've NEVER met a fictional daniel I didn't like... amy calling him joshua altered the whole course of his life I'm convinced that's why he does all those things later on... if he was called daniel the world would be so different.... 5. I have the craziest mixed opinions on the corpanga storyline that episode... on the one hand cory shut the fuck up on the other oh my godddd let's talk about weird hopeful silly topanga... BUT the writers being like booo you're too serious and responsible now what happened to you you used to be weird and cool 🙄 THAT WAS YOU!!! TONY YOU CHOSE TO DO THAT. anyway that's it I'm done I'm sure most of you won't read this I thought it was more efficient to make these like seven posts just one long ramble. we're over the biggest hurdle though the next episode is the first legit silly one in like.five hundred years....

honwstly can't chalk up my issues to Childhood Trauma for the most part since im still living with my parents and going through the same bullshit. my dad doesn't scream at me anymore but like nothing else is different. everything is still my fault and I'm not allowed to have feelings and if i dare show them i am met with disgust, blame, or even just straight up ignored. i fucking hate it here and theyre always fucking patting themselves on the back about being good parents so i know they think that everything about me is completely my fault as if im choosing to be messed up because i HAVE TO BE cos look at my sister. shes married and shes got a good job and shes getting a phd. but im a fucking failure and im the only one to blame. who cares that im disabled its my fault for not having the strength to just push through and be normal. my feelings dont fucking matter and when things are bad enough that i cry in front of my mom she wont even look at me or address it and tries to just talk about something else but if my sister calls her and cries on the phone she talks all gentle and sweet. i seriously think im going to explode. i juat want to disappear. my sister will always be perfect and i will always be garbage and theres fucking nothing i can do about it.

fully convinced that all of us working in any capacity in healthcare are all so fucking oblivious to getting hit on 

I genuinely was talking to a junior doctor over the phone real quick and in like a five minute conversation this poor dude was like “haha yeah my friend X [who I am aware is also a junior doctor, but is working at another hospital currently] was asking me what I was doing on the 14th--”

and I was like “ooh, Valentine’s Day”

and he paused 

and I swear to god I could hear his brain going “OH FUCK DOES SHE LIKE ME” in real time, lmao. it didn’t register to him before this very moment 

so I asked him if he wanted me to like, see if we could find cover for him, maybe he should like, call her back at his next break, immediately maybe. does he know any consultants that might be available or what, like, how can I help here my dude LOL 

and he was like “YES-- yes, that would be great, cheers- if you could I’d really appreciate it” lmao 

of course, I fully admit I am not any better.

long story short I have fucked up catastrophically on three notable occasions, one in which, many years ago... oh god here we go 

I was taking a nap with Z at their flat and tl;dr I woke up first and since we had to go to an event in like an hour I went to wake them up and the first thing out of their just-waking-up mouth was “I love you” and I was like aww they’re dreamin’ about a crush 

I was too fucking oblivious to realise it was me, I was the crush. 

I only found out that I was, in fact, the crush once they moved back to Poland and I was like WOW I COULD NOT HAVE FUCKED UP WORSE lmao holy shit 

now, you might think that 1) sleeping in the same bed as them 2) in retrospect, being very friendly and getting along extremely well all around and 3) having been friend like this for a reasonably long time may have all been contributing elements that may have tipped me off that I was, in fact, the crush they was talking about while still in a partial state of sleep, before they were fully conscious and able to self-censor 

however, I am a fucking dingus, and at NO POINT did I ever think, “hey maybe this person who has just said “I love you” upon waking up in a bed we have just been sharing may or may not be referring to me” 

truly. truly it did not occur to me as a possibility. I found out, genuinely, years later. YEARS LATER. 

so I mean, that’s not even the worst one. believe me I am so fucking oblivious. oh my god it’s so bad 

but why is it such a trend that healthcare staff, in so many cases, just cannot register for shit when we have some Relationship Potential going on??? these are not isolated events LOL

I just assume that medic bots are more or less like this, too-- maybe not all of them, but many of them 

even after living together on the Lost Light, it took a reasonably long time for IDW 1 Ratchet to seemingly realise that maybe he should go get his not-boyfriend so he can maybe become his actual boyfriend/conjunx like maybe he should fucking go find him!!!  where is Drift!!! 

like it took him that long to think “oh fuck maybe I have a crush on this doofus I constantly hang out with and complain with and share some reasonably significant history with” 

and I feel that. I really do, lmao oh godddd  

and we don’t see many, if any, of the other medics in confirmed relationships/conjunx arrangements 

I suspect that if Ambulon survived, it’s entirely possible First Aid might have eventually developed some kind of a more involved relationship with him, but that’s just my personal take on that whole situation 

given what I’ve seen IRL, it seems to be a common problem with healthcare people that we just CANNOT understand when a potential relationship is presenting itself as an opportunity 

it’s not everyone, but it sure is a lot of us 

part of this is quite possibly just the workload and nature of the work, which is probably doing uniquely fucked up things to our brains in regards to how we understand social cues/other people and how we interpret certain situations 

and I also genuinely believe a lot of people that work in healthcare almost certainly have undiagnosed neurodivergencies which may explain some of how we seem to perpetually miss social cues etc. (at least to some degree and again, it’s not all of us, just very possibly a lot of us) 

but idk I feel like we sort of see this possibility in various Transformers continuities, too, where medic characters are often just not quite socially aware or might engage socially but miss the mark a little repeatedly etc. (Cyberverse Ratchet in the dance party scene comes to mind, where he’s info dumping about a surgical procedure during a soiree) 

(I will eventually write a very long post about neurodivergency and neuro diversity in Transformers media, both canonical and non-canonical, at some point in the future so I won’t elaborate too much at the moment) 

anyway
