I'm not sure if you mean the story in the au or just about the characters but I'll share what I have so far under the cut! As well as some doodles to go along with it :]c

But! Essentially there is trouble somewhere sometime in the universe, in a place where there's not any humans around, only pokemon. Arceus decides this is a task for the lost girls (grave, wanda, and radix) but... not in their current forms. The three wake up in an unusual place in unusual bodies. Their memories intact but a little foggy.

For the overall story of the au, it's all still pretty vague!

To clarify I've never played a pmd game (though i want to), its my husband that knows stuff about it

I think it'd be awesome to have ultra beasts be the disruption they need to fix, but again everythings vague.

As for the characters! I'll start with Grave.

Grave is the original trainer sent by arceus to Hisui. That was when she was 27, and she's in her 40s now. When she first awakes she finds herself very curious on how she's a cyndaquil, yet bares traits of a hisuian typhlosion. She also finds herself very disappointed at the fact that she's a grown adult and still is first staged evolution (and still the shortest out of the group) She does like the fact that her friends can carry her though!

And dw, she does eventually evolve into a just as strange typhlosion!

And she is able to give her friends lots of rides in return! (and be the tallest finally) (also that typhlosion is not to canon size but thats okay)

Onto Wanda! After being saved by Grave countless times and spending time with her, they went from being besties to sweethearts! While she's a little ditzy at times, she's super resilient and has a good heart. Although she'd rather stay at town and make sure peoples okay rather than facing off against wild pokemon or braving the elements to bring aid to those in need like Grave and Radix does, she's willing to lend a hand when needed! She was shocked to find herself chosen to be on this quest with the other two, but she ends up being a good calming optimist to the group, and protecting them fiercely with her new claws.

Grave was just surprised she wasn't turned into a spinda hehe

And finally is Radix, who belongs to @smiledjpg, who can tell you more about him.

Radix has already once before found himself in a strange new world, unsure of what to do or even who/what he is. Only a sense of vague instructions. When he first landed in Hisui, he was on his own for a long time, he eventually met Wanda (having saved her hehe) and then Grave. They become friends, and after time lovers (that's right babey pokemon polycule).

He's glad that this time he has friends with him as he braves the unknown. He... he can't quite figure out how to sign with his little audino hands. Luckily it's not as painful for him to speak, but he's still pretty nonverbal.

They eventually met other audinos, who recoil on instinct seeing Radix. After all he's like nothing theyve ever seen. They warm up to him but it still stings, as it feels like no matter where he goes, he's never going to fit in.

Hollow Cleric Pokemon Teams. This time featuring Jin Mei and Temenos.

Jin Mei (Double Battles)

Ninetales-Alola - While it's bad to have fairy types during the Eternal Night, Jin Mei couldn't really bear to leave her behind and just decided to change her moveset so that she can survive better. She a joy to have and likes to sit on Jin Mei's lap a lot.

Aurorus - Found him in a cave near Winterbloom and raised him from an Amaura to an Aurorus after the end. He a bit big but he likes to go and gently headbutt Jin Mei sometimes. Unfortunate that immediately the man gets chills but ah well. That's what he gets for encouraging pets when it was still a baby.

Arctozolt - Was caught before the end and near Montwise after it escaped from somewhere...Kazan encouraged him to catch it and add it to his team. He doesn't really want to part ways with it despite the bad memories it brings up.

Baxcalibur - Caught after the end. Was mulling around near Stormhail when Jin Mei was still contemplating going home. He's a bit lax and doesn't like moving a lot but they hit like a truck once they get going.

Rotom - Found near Roque Island after the end. While the trip was very pointless as there was no sign of Kazan anywhere, he did get a new friend. Even if the new friend kept on trying to steal his spear...Often he goes and switches from Wash and Frost forms. Can't ever be too cautious. Especially since he knows that Kazan is partial to Fire types and Flying types

Luxray - Jin Mei's Starter and Ace. They're a proud thing and has Guts as an ability. Alongside Jin Mei they have braved the snow and showed that they can withstand the temperatures of Stormhail. It is cautious of Jin Mei as time goes on and the man gets more obsessed with revenge. Knows Return and the move does less and less every time a battle with Jin Mei happens...By the time Stormhail rolls around with Temenos it knows Frustration instead.

Temenos (Technically he has multiple Pokemon teams but this is the main one)

Umbreon - The one Pokemon he found on his person when he woke up. The lil guy seemed to know what's going on but unfortunately the barriers between man and Pokemon are still there. At the very least they help guide Temenos to the right places.

Absol - Found after meeting Crick which...bode ill will. Still, Absol's aren't exactly bringers of disasters. They just warn people of it. So Temenos brought it along so that maybe he would be warned of disaster before things go wrong. They're surprisingly affectionate.

Meowstic (Male) - Found as Temenos was making food. He isn't sure when he caught it. It just. Appeared in his bag one day and wouldn't stop following him. They just stare at people but are generally helpful.

Typhlosion-Hisui - Came with Temenos after the man helped it with putting souls to rest. He is very grateful for that and thus follows the man around in hopes of bringing other souls to rest. A bit of mischievous thing, something Temenos is very pleased about.

Togekiss - Found in Flamechurch. Seems to have known Temenos. Now she follows him around in hopes that maybe Temenos could remember what had happened before. Likes to snuggle and sit on the man's lap. Also may have went and laid an egg once or twice, much to Temenos' confusion.

Zoroark-Hisui - Caught after impersonating Roi. Very volatile but after a while they got along great with Temenos' team and soon became a rather charming member to have on the team. Goes and often fools others with their illusions.

VERY glad you gave temenos the Autism pokemon in the form of Meowstic. this also supports my personal theory that temenos just stares at people really hard until they get nervous and spill the beans whenever he does his coerce path action so it’s a win all around

eventually poor shou gets so exhausted by her ordeals that shes barely functioning, and is manhandled into taking a break so shes not a risk out on the field. nobody realizes (including her/them) that mew is so tired bc theyve been constantly using a move and their power to maintain human shape on top of all the work, and the moment they finally rest all that comes undone and they zonk out for days

course shou cant follow directions to save her life, so after being quiet for so long, rei gets worried shes unwell and goes to check on her and shes nowhere to be found in her house, tho all her pokemon are out of their balls, piled up together and dozing contentedly. rei is like oh god what if she suffocated under there and calls for her and panics a bit when theres no answer, but her typhlosion does some kind of noise between a growl and a yawn (so many sharp teeth. why does its jaw open so wide. thats like its whole head)

eventually rei hears shou grumble petulantly and a tiny pink thing pokes its head out of the mass. its got the most wrinkled nose sleepy expression and its extremely adorable. but then rei hears shous voice groan "what? what is it?" in his head with perfect clarity, and then he notices the pink thing is the same color as her hair and their eyes are the same blue too, and hes like you know what this might as well happen

which one do i prefer? ooooh thats a tough question. honestly i won't know for sure until i finish legends arceus I think. which, might take a while because theres like a hundred side quests and ofc my completionist ass needs to do them all 😭 story-wise, I'd have to go with sv right now, but that may change.

I always lean towards grass starters so i can't help ya there :,) the quaxly line is incredibly goofy looking imo & there's no shame in going with what the heart wants, even if it differs from your usual choice - i ended up going with cyndaquil in legends instead of rowlet!

i hadn't shiny hunted very often before sv, but when i did i had incredible odds 😅 like i tried chain fishing and the very first mon i pulled up was shiny. got pretty lucky hatching snivy eggs too iirc. but i could never get the hang of chaining, the grass shakes always looked exactly the same to me 💀

yes! xy is peak pokemon fashion. i bought so many clothes in that game lmao. legends arceus has some neat clothes but they're mostly just reskins of the same few designs that I've seen, so far.

no spoilers, that i can do! but imo it's really heartwarming and a little heartbreaking too. there's this one character i disliked at first, but over time they grew on me like a mold (affectionate). in terms of the l:a story, you have a god given quest to catch em all & you kinda just solve everybody else's problems along the way, it seems.

if you are interested in getting scarlet or violet, definitely look at the version exclusives because they've got some cool late game mons. i like the scarlet ones better than violet but i wanted my pretty knight lmao. i just traded my exclusives for my boyfriend's & it all worked out :]

the last game I played was sumo but i stopped after beating the 1st gym 😅 been thinking about going back and playing through some older games since i do have em all on my 3ds now...

So anyway, I’ve been drawing a lot of Hisuian Typhlosion lately.....

Well first off congrats on making me think really hard! Cause i had no clue!

But after some studying and thinking I may have at least the start of a possible team for him! Im starting him off with 6 pokemon even though the usual amount is just 3 or 4 for the twins but I wanted a variety cause im still not sure on a set team.

So! hisuian typhlosion! He got to keep it and still uses it to match with Ingos Chandelure! An Unfezant replacing the staraptor he had, a Caracosta which mirrors Emmets Archeops, a bisharp to fit with the steel pokemon used, a beheeyem replacing mr mime (theyre both very silly), and finally an Emolga replacing his pikachu!

I wanted to only go with unovan pokemon for his team besides typhlosion so thats why his original pokemon are replaced. I also wanted him to match with some of the twins pokemon. Though again, this isn't set in stone as I'm still gonna think on this for a while but I think its okay for a start

HEARTSABYUL PICKING POKEMON STARTERS (and why)

im bored and so i bring together two of my favorite things. I’ll do every dorm eventually and each person will get their own pokemon (probably.)

ACE ~ he’s an oldie pokemon fan, loves the classics isnt as much of a fan of the newer gens and will rant about it on twt. the first thing i thought of for him was fire type bc he’s rather headstrong and blunt and has that sorta firey energy about him. with all of this said, Ace picks charmander. Sue him for loving the classics. He also absolutely loves the fact that charizard is a fire flying type bc it means they have matching magic (kinda, he just thinks it’s cute) but still wishes that charizard was a dragon type bc he thinks dragon types are cool. He prefers charizard y over x and deuce calls him weird for that. believes in charizard supremacy.

DEUCE ~ like ace, deuce is also an oldie pokemon fan and is proud but hes less outspoken about it (keeps a gameboy and ds hidden in his closet). my bf argued that deuce would be good with a fire type starter and while i can agree to an extent i still went with a water type so i didnt have any repeats and bc i personally think he’d pick a water type and he enjoys pokemon meta, especially in the early games. he’s probably into speedrunning and mods too WHICH IS WHY deuce picks squirtle as his starter. he thinks turtles are cool—and you know whats even cooler? a giant turtle with guns on its back. he and ace get into arguments about whether blastiose or charizard is better constantly with no end to them in sight. I also enjoy that adeuce both get matching gen 1 starters

RIDDLE ~ now riddle, unlike the other two, hasn’t got much if any pokemon experience or knowledge save for… maybe a few pokemon cards that chenya gave him when they were kids and he hid away somewhere safe, but he doesnt know much about pokemon at all. so what does this mean when he’s picking out his pokemon? well, he doesnt lol. he gets someone else to choose for him based on what’s “optimal” bc he doesnt want a bad pokemon and trey ends up picking cyndaquil for him cus he thinks that cyndaquil/typhlosion and riddle are similar (also he doesn’t know pokemon meta) and riddle grows very attached to his cyndaquil, probably ends up giving it a nickname too. no one tell him about nuzlockes, he will cry at the thought of loosing his cyndaquil (and hes died a lot in games, hes learning tho)

CATER ~ im ngl cater is one of the last people i assigned a pokemon to so if it seems slapped on then thats why but also i still think the vibes work so well with him. if this was like an actual twst characters in a pokemon world au cater would absolutely be a pokemon coordinator or some sorta thing like that. definitely take a lottaaa photos with cute pokemon too, he’d be rly drawn to any cute pokemon HOWEVER (bc there’s always a however) the pokemon he picks isnt one of the main pokemon that most people would consider the cutest out of the starters, its one he’s very drawn to and finds super cute regardless of what others think. this pokemon is… CHIMCHAR! idk if others will agree with me on this but i personally think cater and chimchar would make such a cute combo and his chimchar would be super camera ready at all times, they’d have so many selfies together. i didnt mean for caters thing to be so long but to wrap things up fast he plays the games bc theyre recommended and popular, and has watched some shows for the same reason however he’s not a die hard fan of pokemon.

TREY ~ and finally the dorm mother! as mentioned in riddle’s thing, chenya was very into pokemon as a child (still is for nostalgia probably) and thus he tried his hardest to also get trey into pokemon though trey only ever rly got as far as watching some of the shows and collecting some of the cards. he actually knows how to play the pokemon card game the official way though! which is certainly a surprise considering the fact he forgot the basic type matchups. when the others get trey back into pokemon he ends up growing attached to chespin very quickly. Just a little cute quirky grass guy, he grows attached instantly. he likes all the grass type starters a lot but chespin stands out to him most, probably because he has an attachment to the kalos region too. he finds chespin in the show to be a very charming lad and now he wants a chespin/chesnaught pokemon card.

I’ll do the others when i feel like it i just didnt wanna cram all 22 students on one post thats a lotta effort. maybe ill do an actual twst characters in a pokemon universe someday tho who knows

i made a 'redesign' for Hisuian Typhlosion because just look at how they massacred my boy anyway yea, a hisuian typhlosion redesign. yep. even though HisuTyph has a cool collar, they put my son on weight watchers, gave him a silly little patch of spooky hair, and gave him fur eyeliner and only eyeliner and i cried a little inside

design ideas/notes:

tiny claws on the hands and feet for (grave) digging

shaggy patches of fur to look kind of like a reaper's cloak, plus a longer tail. doubles as cuddle material (females have more fur?)

more fire patches. i kinda like the flames on the actual HisuTyph, but they resemble spiritoumb a bit too much for my taste. you know that ghost-fire that kinda flows/bubbles up like liquid? thats what this is (and the extra fire works as extra intimidation at night)

instead of making the chonk into a noodle, i tried making them look a little 'starved?' like thinner down the middle and thicker up. but, the only reason it looks thicker is because of the chest fluff and thats it. just a noodle that looks 'buff'

protruding fangs, a fire patch, and face markings to look like a faux skull. extra markings above and below the fangs to resemble tooth gaps

darker upper fur and a lighter tan, for the 'shadow cloak' effect and a 'bone-slash-sickly' look. i wouldve just straight up made it black and white like an actual honey badger, but that would be a jarring change after quilava and cyndaquil (even though the decidueye and samurott does this)

basically something that says "this is also a ghost type" and looks cool

Imagine everyone of Ash’s friends, League members, the CouncilTM, and maybe even the bad guys are all gathered at this one GIANT Castle (that belongs to Ash because Professor Oaks Ranch got to tight with how all of Ash’s Pokémon were growing to big and such) for some kind of event.

And yada, yada, stuff happens. Ash ends up stuck in bed one day, old wounds and phantom pains flaring like absolutely crazy, and he calls his BF Raihan (or a different S/O) who’s stuck in Galar doing paperwork that was ment for Leon and the other gym leaders. Which Rose pushed onto him illegal and also messing with the documents, making them unable to understand and such. But Raihan comes on a one flight plane because Ash is hurting and he called Raihan absolutely sobbing in bed.

So Raihan burst through the castle doors, greets Delia who’s watering the plants on one of the smaller windows next to the giant glass painting of a window that showcases all the Gods and mythical creatures. And everyone’s stunned or something as he walks down the long middle walk way between the benches that are filled with people because their having a late lunch/early dinner, or something like that. And Raihan gets to Rose who’s surprised that Raihan had come to Kanto and had that the gym leader had even known he was here in the first place. Raihan ends up slamming down a giant backpack FULL of paperwork and as loudly as he can, declare what Rose had done and why Raihan could originally come to Kanto along with the other Galar League members and that Rose has done a lot of other shit which he places on the CouncilsTM table that’s sitting oh so conveniently next to where the Galar table is.

Raihan then nods to Gary, who nods back and points to one of the smaller hidden doors in the back in the kitchen. Which leads up to Ash’s secret hallway where their very large bedroom is. Raihan gets up to the large double door where Ash’s final evolved Typhlosion and Feraligator are guarding the door. They let Raihan slip through the crack of the doors and Raihan just drops his suitcase and falls onto the bed to cuddle Ash who’s whining and sobbing how he’s hurting all over the place.

Yada, yada, yada. More shit happen. Cute fluffy moments with Raihan helping Ash deal while Rose and Oleana (to a point) get their asses handed to them by the CouncilTM and the other Champions, this is including old ones such as Steven and Drake and also Champion Leon because he didn’t know his best friend was practically forced to stay back in Galar. And then Raihan has to come down eventually, like maybe late at night when Rose and Oleana get taken away or some shit, because he needs food and Ash needs food and more water bottles because Raihan just can’t keep getting back up to just go to the adjacent bathroom to fill cups up for Ash every hour and a half.

AND NOW THIS IS WHY IM MAKING A SUPER LONG PROMPT/POST/THINGY!

Raihan comes down and sleepily greets Delia and the Oaks. And I’ve talked about Iris being related to Leon and Hoo and how she knows Raihan and has a big crush on the dragon trainer since she was a tiny ass kid. AND THATS NOT THE POINT!!!

THE POINT IS! Is that she finds out her Ash is the same Ash that Raihan has been dating since like... idk let’s say the Sinnoh Arc or something earlier. It’s just the important fact that Raihan knows all the bullshit Ash went through in his life so far and is very protective of him when it comes to bad people.

And so Iris confronts sleepy Raihan and states somewhere about “how can you do this?” And “why him of all people!?” And the. She drops her favorite line multiple times. “Ash is just a kid! He’s not that smart, you can do better Raihan!” And Raihan just pauses so everything can be processed in his mind before GOING OFF on Iris.

“Just a kid?” He’ll ask, “just a fucking ‘Kid’!?” His voice raises along with his anger and Iris immediately knows she Fucked Up Big TimeTM. And Raihans all up in her face while stating all the amazing important Ash is and how smart he is. “Ash is so smart that he can easily talk to any Pokémon around him! He can talk to the fucking Gods when we can’t understand simple messages our Pokémon partners have been trying to tell us for fucking years, Iris!!!!” And he just berates everything everyone has done to Ash.

Raihan slips up on his anger as he goes off on everyone than just Iris, because he’s so fucking tired on how Ash’s friends seem to tear Ash down than build him up like he does with his friends. And Raihan starts pointing out all the big flaws and holes they have in their relationships with Ash before stating they need to drink more Respect Ash Juice before grabbing the shit that he needs and going back up to Ash. Leaving a gaping crowd behind him.

Ash asks what took so long and Raihan comes spilling out what he’s done, Ahs just pulls Raihan into a semi hug and cries slightly because he didn’t know how to face his friends about their almost one sided friendship or something.

GOD this got long, I really just wanted Raihan to go O F F on Iris and how she keeps calling him a kid after all these years and how she still calls him dumb when in fact Ash is pretty smart and has been for a long time.

Pokemon au, what are the S.E.E.S members up too

yukari is a coordinator-turned-actor in the pokestar studios. she probably at least has a decidueye for archery jokes but i also like her having an oricorio, specifically the pa’u styled one.

fuuka’s one of those like, communications people they have in the ranger games. like she essentially relays mission information and reads the maps and stuff to rangers. she also strikes me as someone who has a chimecho or a clefable.

junpei does the pokeathlon and i really like the idea that he has like, a full eeveelution team?? like it seems really fitting for him and would cover an average range for battling in terms of types. also the idea that junpei raised a ton of eevee is just good too.

aigis is a robot designed to hunt down legendaries. she could fare well in battle as herself, however she’s got a rotom buddy that accompanies her.

on that note i love the concept that minato is actually just a latios that shifts human since he doesn’t like being alone but also he doesn’t want to be caught. he doesn’t have any pokemon cause. he is his own.

mitsuru is a gym leader and since all of these are dual typings bc thats more fun, i see her as psychic and maybe like, flying. she def has an altaria tho because of that fluffy coat. also she’s the heiress to kirijo corp which creates all the fancy new technologies like some of the regions have.

hamuko is a coordinator but she’s that brand of coordinator like wallace is in that her team is very pretty but with a few tweaks can be a competitive team. a mon i can see her def having is chansey both bc it’s cute and pink but also is also Very tanky and can not only be very hard to one shot, but also can self heal, making it a bit of a menace.

ken is an average coming-of-age trainer collecting badges and what not. he probably picked out a cyndaquil from shinjiro because typhlosion is hilariously nasty when it’s angry like a certain someone.

im up against an ice type gym leader, on a field that does a lot of bullshit, and basically this is what im up against. the level cap is 50, keep this in mind

one level 48 cryogonal with leftovers, a frost breath that always crits, a flash cannon that does twice the normal damage, recover, and reflect, which lasts 8 turns instead of 5.

a level 48 aurorus holding an icy rock, with an 8 turn lasting light screen, a frost breath that always crits, a nature power that turns into a 2x damage mirror shot, and stealth rock

a level 49 glaceon with leftovers, a frost breath that always crits, wish, a signal beam thats boosted to 2x the normal damage, an mirror move which boosts accuracy, attack and special attack on every succesful use

a level 48 jynx holding bright powder, which raises evasiveness NEXT TO THE NORMAL EVASIVENESS RAISE, a frost breath that always crits AND IS BOOSTED IN DAMAGE BECAUSE IN THIS FIELD CRIT DAMAGE RAISES WITH YOUR EVASIVENESS BOOSTS, energy ball, psyshock and a 2x damage signal beam

a level 49 vanilluxe holding bright powder with a 2x damage signal beam, a frost breath that always crits (AND has raised damage bc of the evasion boost of bright powder......), a 2x damage mirror shot AND a reflect that lasts 8 turns instead of 5

a level 50 froslass holding bright powder (AGAIN) with a frost breath that always kills, shadow ball, confuse ray and double team, which raises evasiveness by 4x instead of 2x

now, this is a really shitty fucking battle and ive tested it and even from the first 2 mons, frost breath does over half to ANY POKEMON I HAVE. i have:

one level 35 kabuto with no rock moves, and even if i raise it to a level 50 kabutops it still wont have any rock moves

one level 45 dusclops with shadow ball, pursuit, will-o-wisp and shadow punch so it cant do jack shit

one level 48 grumpig with power gem and confuse ray which im betting one third of my entire battle on

one level 49 typhlosion with flame thrower, lava plume, rock smash and swift which im betting another one third of my entire battle on

one level 48 scrafty with brick break, crunch, hi jump kick and ice punch which im betting the rest of the battle on

one level 47 eelektross with crunch, thunder wave, thunderbolt and charge beam

one level 41 noibat which i wont take into that battle bc its dragon/flying so even if its a noivern at that point it still wont fucking help

this is horrible

Rin came to battle her and she was nowhere to be found 

So he looked for her and discovered a beautiful blonde girl in a breathtaking garden 

He was shocked when he found out she was the gym leader

Shiemi apologised for making him come all this way for nothing 

Rin yells at her and tells her to take her post seriously

She’s not only neglecting the trainers who want a Leaf badge but also her Pokemon who would love to battle alongside her

So he vows to help her

Rin helps Shiemi with her shyness

Shiemi asks if she can travel along with Rin whilst she’s learning how to be a real person

Once she’s experienced the world a bit she can’t wait to continue her grandmothers legacy and be the best gym leader she can be

It’s likely they were confused because they thought he was one of them

He smells so bad they still aren’t sure if he is or isn’t a Pokemon

He has a wide collection of legendary and mythical Pokemon 

Despite being highly respected person in the Poke-world, he is still extremely lazy and doesn’t seem to care about his appearance 

Some of his Pokemon like to try clean him by licking his face
