#and them living on genosha together
Either Cherik started hooking up some time during the mutant recruiting road trips in First Class and continue on and off throughout the movies, or it takes at least six months of them living together in Genosha for them to realize they have desires for each other that don't involve chess. I accept no middle ground on this.

Day 11. AU
Stardew Valley AU
This one has been on my mind for ages and while my life is violently beating me down and I have no energy or time to write an actual fic, I wanted to share this one nevertheless.
There are endless possibilities how this could go, but these are the two I've had.
1. Charles as the farmer.
Kurt had taken the charge of Brian Xavier's company when he had died, turning it into a souless corporation, where Charles now works, but has no real power over. He is sick of Kurt's treatment of him and all the pretencious people who try to get close to him just to gain something. The frustration of the situation and the backstab world of business world makes him seek for an out. He finds  out that there is a farm that his grandfather had left for Brian and which had then been passed to him. So, he decides to leave the company and head towards Stardew Valley (Genosha Valley? Maybe not X'D)
The farm is in shambles, but Charles is not too defeated and starts to fix everything up slowly but surely. He meets the people who live in the town and most of them are happy to welcome him to the Valley and are encouraging of his efforts to start his farm. But when Charles meets Erik, the local blacksmith, when he brings most of his tools for a fixing, the other man is not too impressed. He fixes the tools, it's his job after all, but doesn't think that Charles, a rich city boy, will last even to the end of the year.
Well, Charles is ready to prove Erik wrong and works twice as hard as he had before. The beginning is rough, he knows next to nothing about agriculture, but he is if nothing else but stubborn and slowly learns and succeeds to turn the farm back to it's former glory. And maybe he also develops feelings towards Erik along the way. And the blacksmith also learns that there was more to Charles than he thought in the beginning.
2. Erik as the farmer
Erik is working for Shaw with minimum wage and it's slowly sucking his life out of him. He hates everything about his work, his coworkers, his boss and his current life. After one late night at work he finds a letter from his mother who passed away years ago. It tells him about a farm that belonged to her grandparents and his mother had planned to move there too, but her health made it impossible. But maybe Erik could find a nice life there. Erik hadn't payed too much attention to the farm mentioned in his mother's will, but now... It sounds just what he needs. So with a huge middlefinger, he leaves Shaw's company and heads to the farm.
It's in a bad condition, but Erik is ready to work hard for it and this time, the work feels actually meaningfull and at the end of the day he doesn't feel like he is slowly suffocating. The townspeople are pleasant too, if a bit nosy. Especially Charles, the teacher of the town, who lives in a trailer with his step brother. But as Eriks first crops grow, so do his feelings for the other man as they spend more and more time together. And suddenly Erik notices how he has become a part of the community.
Nevertheless who is the farmer, the end conflict would be:
The valley life is good and Charles/Erik has found a community there, where people care about each other and are like a one big family. Everything is fine, until Kurt's/Shaw's company arrives to the valley and threathens to change everything for the worse (capitalism, you know). Charles/Erik has to face the life they had left behind to save their newfound family. But this time, they don't have to do it alone.
And there is so much ability to customise this AU!
- Which x-men character is which stardew valley character (Even Erik and Charles don't have to be the ones I chose here. Erik could also be a struggling writer living in a cabin on the beach or a shopkeeper who is having a rivarly with Kurt's megamart. Charles in turn could also be a researcher, living with his sister's family near the mountains or a doctor, who has to patch Erik back together after a monster attack in the mines.)
- If you want a kid fic, you can make either Erik or Charles or both single fathers and have all or some of their kids there too.
- Could be an AU with or without powers. I usually prefer powered AUs myself so that's what I was thinking while planning this. But not a necessity.
- Would most likely end up as quite a fluffy fic, but there is also room for hurt/comfort for example.

Dark Phoenix headcanon to make you less angry about the injustice to the quicksohn!
Pietroneto!
Because of the fight with Jean. Her magic Phoenix bullshit accidently unlocked his secondary mutation and now we have a metal bender Peter in the world!
Gosh darnit you're so sweet! On a side note, the Phoenix bullshit is basically magic is completely goes against and ignores the climax of Apocalypse. Like still cannot get over that from a writing level. Besides, who cared about Jean Gray???
Peter is much more creative and has a wider variety of skills than his Dadneto like crystalbending, gravitybending, invisibility, EMP, sandbending, liquid metalbending which doesn't have all sorted out, but has not master them completely; while Erik has one or two skills that he completely maxed out.
Erik like being all over Peter to join him on Genosha so he can train together. Erik has more than two braincell and can figure out who's is offspring and plus I headcanon that he already knows since Apocalypse.
Yeah, Erik and Charles with Peter joining them on Genosha lives rent free in my head.
Sinister was right fucking there in Apocalypse, ready to be used and set up, but noooo we had to get boring ass aliens which wasn't even hinted at in the universe as being a possibility. DP as a movie on its own could have worked, but it literally warped the universe around itself, so to justify its writing own fucking writing. Don't get me wrong, but even X-Men: Apocalypse didn't sabotage its own power scale/power system; ESN was underpowered and utterly didn't justify using Phoenix to defeat; and didn't help mattered of his motivation to hijack Charles's body (which I get it they made the discussion of mixed ESN with Shadow King). In addition adding a Borg adaptive like quality to him, however CLEARLY the writers didn't think through the implications of that power and in by doing so it renders transferring body to body moot. Also being a complete waste of Oscar Isaac talents. Note self, write essay about this later...
Sorry to go off on a tangent.

where is my mind? (there's nothing in it)
Available on AO3.
Summary: She'd said, "Charles needs you," and everything after that was a blur. Suddenly, nothing else had mattered, not blossoming Genosha, not politics, not decades-old debates. Charles needed him, and so, the next thing he knew, he was here.
Preview below the cut:
The land around the mansion's grounds was thick with fog, rendering anything beyond the walls impossible to see through dense, white-grey clouds.
Erik stepped through the wrought-iron gates, out of the fog like a spectre emerging from brickwork, and stared at the mansion up ahead. His chest ached at the steadfast familiarity of it. Though he'd never stayed at the mansion for more than a handful of weeks at a time, nowhere else drifted to mind when he thought of home. This was the first place he'd felt comfortable being himself since… So long ago, the memories were fuzzy, and Erik was sure the sense of security he felt during his earliest years was only thanks to the protection of his parents, who had most likely hoped against hope that the torment of their community would abate as he grew older, not develop into –
"Genocide," Charles said, voice soft, his brows drawn together as he stared at Erik across the board. Neither of them had made a move in some minutes, their debate having grown too heated for the tiny figures and their fictional lives to matter any more. "That's what you're talking about, Erik, you realise?"
A scoff escaped Erik. "Don't," he said, pointing at Charles with one finger, the rest wrapped securely around his glass of whiskey. "Don't compare me to them," he said. He raised the glass and gulped down the amber liquid within. Then, he snapped, "Don't twist my words. Human extinction is inevitable. So what if they're given a helping hand? The world would be better off for it."
"It will be a long, long time before mutants are the dominant population of the planet, my friend," Charles said. "It certainly won't happen in our lifetime. It definitely won't happen if you kill all of the non-mutants now. The X-gene isn't anywhere near prevalent enough."
"I didn't say to kill them all now," Erik said, irritation nipping at him. It felt as if Charles was making a conscious effort to be obtuse. "I said we should be open about who we are and willing to eradicate those who oppose our very existence –"
Erik breathed in deeply and squeezed his eyes shut, shoving the memory back into the corners of his mind. The cold air chilled his throat, his lungs, but worked to ground him back in the present moment. When he opened his eyes again, the mansion was still there, solid, unwavering. No matter how many disagreements he had with Charles, he wouldn't abandon him in a time of need, and that was how Mystique had described it.
She'd said, "Charles needs you," and everything after that was a blur. Suddenly, nothing else had mattered, not blossoming Genosha, not politics, not decades-old debates. Charles needed him, and so, the next thing he knew, he was here.
The skies above him were dark grey with water-laden clouds. That, combined with the fog, in addition to the total silence enveloping the mansion and its grounds, more than established the mood. Westchester itself seemed miserable. Whatever was going on was nothing good. But then, perhaps the fact Erik had been summoned at all ought to have been indication enough of that.
As he began the long walk up the driveway, the sandy gravel crunched underfoot. Nobody rushed out to protest the arrival of Magneto. In fact, nobody appeared at all to greet him. There wasn't a soul in sight as he approached the front door of the mansion. The feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach only grew. His gut told him to turn tail and run, whatever was going on within the mansion's walls causing his stomach to churn with anxiety. Inexplicable panic crawled up his throat. He couldn't pinpoint why until he realised he hadn't felt the warmth of Charles touching his mind in greeting. He hadn't brought his helmet, so there was no reason for him not to have said hello and welcomed him back home.
Fighting the urge to flee, Erik raised his hand to knock on the door, only for it to open before he could. Before him stood Beast, who sighed at the sight of him. His blue fur was a welcome splash of colour after the miserable grey of the outside world.
Hank gestured for him to enter and follow him through the mansion. His quiet was unsettling, but all Erik could do was trail after him. "What's going on?" Erik asked, stomach writhing. "Mystique - Raven - didn't really… She hasn't explained."
They were heading for the elevator. Even the metal of that didn't bring him any comfort. Everything felt so cold and sterile. Hank was quiet as they entered it and then pressed the button to take them down into the bowels of the mansion, where Cerebro and Hank's lab and makeshift medical clinic were located. Only a year ago, he'd been here, checking over the final details with Charles –
"Don't tell Hank," Charles said, lips twitching up into a smile. He was admiring Erik's handiwork, looking up at the angular plates of Cerebro. It was one of the last things to be done, only justifiable to complete once all the children had a roof over their heads again. "But I think this version of Cerebro is even better than the last."
"Of course it is," Erik said, resting against the console, meeting Charles' smile with a playful smirk of his own. "I built it."
Which was only right, considering he'd contributed to the destruction of the original. "Careful," Charles said, eyes bright as he teased. "Wouldn't want to have to take the place apart again to get your head out."
" – telepathic attack," Hank was saying. Erik blinked back to the present again, trying to focus on the explanation. The elevator came to a smooth halt and the doors slid open. "It hasn't just hurt his mind, but the brain itself. His brain activity has been decimated. He's scoring a three on the Glasgow Coma Scale."
That was practically nothing. Erik's stomach churned again as he stared along the white corridor ahead and let Hank lead the way. "And what about…" Erik gestured to his temple. "Can't someone go in? Repair the damage?"
"We can't risk a telepath venturing in there," Hank said. "Not yet. He's too unstable. Once he's stabilised, we can try, maybe. For now, the best thing to do is just talk to him. Let him know you're here."
Once he'd stabilised. Not if he stabilised. That wording, at least, gave Erik some hope. He let out a breath.
They stepped into Hank's medical clinic, which was as professional and sterile as a legitimate hospital and in the centre of the room was a bed, upon which lay Charles. The soft, baby blue bedding contrasted starkly with the white and silver walls and equipment of the room but Charles' pale hands, in turn, stood out against the bedsheets. There were wires all over him, trailing under the hospital gown, running down his arms. There was a tube rammed down his throat, a machine helping him to breathe. No, not helping him – forcing him to breathe. Keeping him alive.
The breath was knocked out of Erik's lungs as he approached the bed. There was a seat beside Charles, which Erik allowed himself to sink into and then he reached out to touch Charles' cool hand. He glanced over his shoulder, but Hank had vanished, likely sensing he'd be intruding on a private moment if he stayed.
It was awkward, at first, words failing Erik. What was he meant to say? Even if it was to argue, he was used to Charles being able to reply to him. He never just talked at him. He cleared his throat, fingers absently drawing a pattern on the back of Charles' hand, and wracked his brain, searching for the right words.
"I don't know if you can hear me," Erik said, swallowing down any embarrassment at the reality of talking aloud to an unconscious person. "But I'm here. For what my presence is worth. If it's worth anything at all. I should've been here sooner. I could've helped," he murmured. He should've been here to help, not playing at being a leader on an island nation with only a handful of occupants.
Of course, if a telepathic attack had done this to a telepath as powerful as Charles, Erik shuddered at the thought of what it would do to a non-telepath. But, at least Erik would've had his helmet. You couldn't be attacked by a telepath if you blocked them out and killed them –
"You haven't killed me," Charles said, not turning his head to look at Erik. "Though it might have been kinder if you had. You have some nerve coming here."
The hospital in New York was state of the art, handpicked by Hank for its expertise in spinal injuries, or so Charles had said a few minutes previously. It wouldn't be enough to make much difference to Charles' recovery. Though it hadn't been a complete spinal injury, the delay in treatment had resulted in extensive nerve damage which there was little hope of healing enough to allow Charles to walk again.
"I had to see you - when Mystique said…" Erik's throat closed up. "Charles, I'm sorry."
"I don't want your apologies," Charles snapped. "We both know you're only here to make yourself feel better. I won't be forgiving you today. Look at what you've done to me." He gestured down to his motionless legs. "If you have an ounce of humanity in you, you'll go and leave me in peace. And you can tell my sister to stay away, too, if she doesn't have the strength to actually talk to me instead of skulking around in a nurse's skin."
Erik's mouth opened and then shut again. His eyes burned. There was another apology on the tip of his tongue, but Charles was right. He was here for the sake of his own conscience, and he didn't deserve forgiveness. He certainly wouldn't be forgiving himself for his carelessness any time soon.
Would Charles send him away if he were awake now? Maybe not. Probably not. It had been over twenty years since Cuba and though he still didn't deserve forgiveness, a lot of healing had happened in the weeks following Apocalypse's destruction. The two of them had healthy, productive conversations as the mansion was slowly rebuilt. Erik's fingers continued to trace patterns on Charles' hand. They'd had fleeting moments where their hands had brushed while the mansion was being rebuilt, but they'd been a long way from 1962, and the memory of Magda had been too raw for Erik to dare push for anything more. What Erik wouldn't give now for Charles to return his touch, to even just wiggle his fingers a little.
Erik lifted Charles' limp hand and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. "I'm sorry," he said. He squeezed his eyes shut and then rested his head on the mattress by Charles' side, unable to find anything more to say. He had time to find the right words. He had no intention of leaving until Charles opened his eyes again.

Simon says 🎲
7. A romantic kiss.
"So, what's this new form supposed to be?"
Hank blinks, and turns from where he's laying on the Avengers Mansion roof. It's newly completed, and he swears he's just stress testing it, but really he just wanted a moment of respite from the party going on downstairs. It was, as with all things Janet van Dyne, simultaneously very chic, very stylish, and yet all together too much - an excellent time, to be sure, but exhausting.
Hank's spent a lot of the last few years feeling exhausted, if he's honest. Which . . . well. Given the company he's currently keeping, it's hard not to be.
Honest, that is. He was never too exhausted for Simon.
"Simon! I hope I haven't drawn you away from the festivities - there's really no need to concern yourself, I just needed a breath of fresh air."
Tumblr media
He's just hovering there, as beautiful as the day Hank first laid eyes on him. Why wouldn't he be? He's ionic. A collection of atoms and molecules so completely and utterly distinct that to call him a Wonder Man is both an absolutely correct appellation and the world's worst misnomer. He'll outlast them all - Hank knows that as surely as he knows the warped, frayed edges of his own genome. They've both been utterly transformed, but while Hank's only made himself look less and less human, Simon just . . . persists. Forever beautiful.
Electrically charged atoms, clustered so tightly and so densely that they form wisps of purple, surround him, and if Hank were feeling more himself, he might tease that there's a charge in the air tonight. Instead, he just smiles. He finds it hard to stop himself from smiling at Simon. He probably looks drunk. He has been drinking a little.
But if Simon thinks so, he doesn't say or show it. Instead, he floats like the proverbial cloud so that he's hovering right above and to the left of Hank, carefully setting himself down by his old buddy, his old pal. A less knowledgeable Simon scholar might think that he'd be easier to read if only he would take off those glasses, but Hank's well aware that if he did, there'd only be the red.
And he's never needed to see his eyes to read Simon.
"Jan's in fine form tonight."
Hank laughs, and immediately the tension he didn't quite realise he was feeling unfurls like a jolly caterpillar. "Isn't she just? I seem to recall the Professor doing something similar, years ago, back after Genosha. A rush of activity, a burst of energy, as if to prove it wasn't all for nothing, that life goes on. Granted, I think we're in a damned better place than we were back then."
Tumblr media
Were they? Hank's not so sure. He's teaching at Harvard now, which wouldn't have happened 10 years ago. He knows that from personal, lived experience - after his second successful application to the school, one of the custodians had seen fit to give him his old red maroon suit jacket he'd thrown on the floor of the Dean's office in a fit of pique when his first application had been denied. But for everyone else, well . . .
"Yeah. Yeah, I think we are, actually."
"Optimism, Simon? Your wonders never cease."
Simon sees the punchline coming a mile away, walks into it. They laugh. This is comfortable, isn't it? This is nice.
"I think . . . I think Wanda and I finally broke it off, today. We talked, at the park, and it . . . well, there's more to talk about. But it felt pretty definitive."
Ah. So, that's why Wanda had hugged Hank when she'd seen him.
"I'm truly sorry to hear that. You were good for one another."
Simon snorts. It's a strange noise to hear out of that movie star mouth and filtered through the '40s Transatlantic accent that he always seems to settle on, and it makes Hank start a little.
"No we weren't. She wasn't what I needed, and I wasn't what she wanted. Never has been, and I never have been."
Good use of tenses, Simon. It was all Hank could think as he looks at the other man, rubbing his thumbs together.
". . . Well. Regardless. I always thought you were at least nice together."
"Is that why you turned up on that date all those years back wearing my old safari jacket? Because Wanda and I were nice together?"
Tumblr media
Jesus Christ, Simon, go for my damn well jugular, why don't you?! Hank sat up at that, looking momentarily offended, utterly confused, absolutely bamboozled. Now Simon really is unreadable, just sitting there, staring at him. It says a lot about the both of them and the way they've left things, the way they've been skirting around each other's edges, that they both know exactly what Simon's talking about, despite it being one dumb date night Hank had crashed over a decade ago that most people would have just let fade into the annals of forgettable fun.
Well, now. Where in the nine rings of Hell did he go from here?
"It's, ah. It's a combination of a few different simian species - macaque, gorilla, ape, etcetera. The form. My new form. Since you asked. It's a little chimeric, if you want to know the genetic details. It retained my yellow eyes, from my feline mutation, however, I'm not quite sure why."
Simon just looks at him. Hank's answered the question, but not the question.
"It was - funny. I was being funny."
"Like Bugs Bunny."
"Precisely! Precisely like Bugs Bunny."
Tumblr media
Simon sighs.
"Look, I know you may have spent a good amount of time dead, Simon, but I know when you were born and I know for fact that you know enough about Bugs Bunny to know that Bugs is - is - "
Where was he going with this?
"Oh, whatever . . ."
He turns away, starting to think that maybe he should head back inside. But . . . that would mean away from Simon, even if that's the reason he thinks maybe he should head back inside. His ears twitch as he hears plastic and metal and glass move, and he realises that Simon's taken off his glasses. The thought doesn't really phase him. All he'd see is the red. And, don't get him wrong, he likes the red, it's a reminder that he's not alone in possessing a body so utterly transformed that the windows to the shreds of his soul are tinted, but, not right now.
"Hank."
Oh, all right, fine, he supposes he'll look at his movie star friend a bit more.
He turns back, and starts a little. Again. How is it that Simon's getting the drop on him so many times tonight? Wasn't that supposed to be his gimmick? But then again, he's one of the few people who knows what it means to glance back at Simon and see his real eyes - or, maybe it was better to say his other eyes. That means he's concentrating, holding back that crackle that usually just comes spilling out of him. That's something he usually only does when he has to do a close-up, or if . . .
If there's something he wants to say but he can't quite say.
What is it that Simon wants to say?
Well.
Tumblr media
Quite by instinct, Hank finds himself leaning back towards Simon, and . . . well, yes, that is his hand cupping his jaw a little, and well, maybe that is the tips of his fingers stroking at the immaculately trimmed sideburns that he's certain Simon's had for nigh on 30 years now. And maybe that is his thumb, feeling the cold skin of his best friend's cheek.
It's December in New York, and everyone in the city is cold except for Hank McCoy. It's always the way of things. He's always just that mite uncomfortable every time it's vaguely warm, but touching Simon like that, well . . . it's just nice. Funny, isn't it? Hank's got enough letters after his name to fill several alphabets, but he can't think of a word better than nice right now. It simply is nice. He's cool to the touch. Their temperatures reach a natural equilibrium. He's certain that means something, but what, well . . . it's . . . hard. Don't ask him right now. He's busy.
Busy kissing Simon Williams.
He knows what the man tastes like, of course (oh, hush). He's kissed him before. Bugs Bunny, like he said. But this is . . . undeniably something different. There's a difference between a big, loud, lip smacky, comedy kiss, and . . . this. This, touch, this, embrace, this, this. Hank's kissed a lot of people before, been frankly something of a slut in his time, but this is . . . more, than that. This is . . . charged. The fur on the back of his hand stands on delighted end as he spends just a little more time just, kissing, his best friend, and he can feel the ionic charge rippling along his fur. It's, good. Better than good.
Wonderful, actually.
Tumblr media
He opens his eyes, and he realises that Simon's let the crackle flow back out. He's staring into red, pulsating energy again. It's like staring into a supernova, imperious and cold in its power. And he knows his own body well enough to know that Simon's staring into a star of his own, golden yellow, warm and knowing. If he'll allow his inner poet to escape him for a moment, something a little celestial is happening, he thinks.
That's - all, he thinks, actually. His mind's gone a little bit blank. His lips are still tingling with ionic charge as Simon looks at him, clearly expecting him to say something. First thing to come to mind, go.
". . . Better than Bugs Bunny?"
Tumblr media
Simon laughs.
"Yeah, better than Bugs Bunny, you goof."

NEW X-MEN: THE ANIMATED SERIES - SEASON 2, EPISODE 13
The season finale opens one year ago. A calm and put-together Charles Xavier is seated on a park bench as he feeds the birds, a warm smile on his face.
“Professor!”
Xavier turns and is happy to see Scott and Jean, arm in arm, dressed in casual clothes, and completely at ease arrive. They hug and he asks them how their globetrotting vacation has been. They’ve been having the time of their lives, but they do miss the X-Men.
CHARLES, chuckling: “Funny you say that.”
Xavier gets them to sit down at a picnic table. He informs them of the boom in the Mutant population, now estimated to be approximately 20 million. It’s only a matter of decades before Mutants fully inherit the Earth. But, to get to that point, they must survive. And while many have found a home on Genosha, many others are children in need of proper guidance. They need the Xavier Institute, and with him set to leave for Shi’ar Space soon, the institute needs them.
Scott and Jean are instantly on board with and excited about the idea, save for the part about doing it without Xavier; they need him. He laughs and assures them that, no, they don’t. They are the world’s greatest heroes, and he couldn’t trust them more. If they are concerned about their lack of experience running a school, however, he does have someone in mind to help them. But they can talk about “her” later.
JEAN, holding Scott’s hand: “I think we can figure it out. Scott?”
SCOTT, smiling confidently and gripping Jean’s hand tightly: “Together? There’s not a doubt in my mind.” Scott turns to Xavier. “We’ll make this work, Professor. The next generation of Mutants will be safe in our hands.”
In the present, Scott falls to his knees as Jean projects what she sees to him and Xavier: Sofia’s lifeless body in a howling Julian’s arms.
JEAN: “Do you see what you’ve done, Scott? How is it that everyone who trusts Mutantkind’s greatest hero pays the price eventually?”
SCOTT, incensed: “Jean…”
While this is happening, Laura, carrying an unconscious Noriko, races over to Julian and Sofia. Emma and Kitty both clearly want to, but their attention has to stay on Dark Phoenix, and the still barely alive Danger.
Tears stream down Julian’s face as he looks into Sofia’s glassy eyes and shouts at her to please, please wake up. Laura drops Noriko as her jaw drops as well, her fists shaking.
JULIAN, looking up at Laura: “She has to be alive. She has to be.”
Laura is too shell-shocked to even respond.
EMMA: "GET HER OUT OF HERE!"
Hellion complies and gets all four kids away from the battlefield.
Once in their new location, Julian continues to plead with fate.
 His wish is granted.
Sofia lunges upward, gasping for air as her eyes return to normal. Julian and Laura are both able to breathe again, overwhelmed with relief as they hug her and tell her how scared she had them.
SOFIA: “I don’t even know what hap…”
Sofia panics, pushing Julian and Sofia away, and shouting at them to get off of her.
JULIAN: “What is it?! What’s wrong?!”
SOFIA, quivering: “The wind. I can’t feel it. I can’t hear it.” Her eyes get wet. “I can’t fly.” Sofia starts sobbing. “My powers. They’re gone.”
Dark Phoenix grins down at Emma, telling her how “lovely” it is to see her again. Emma sneers back at Jean. Unfortunately, she’s just as much of an unpleasant shrew as ever.
Jean hums. She already read all their minds when she was a few thousand miles away. She knows everything she’s missed. Cyclops and Emma have become an actual couple? That was good for a laugh. They deserve each other. Dragging poor Bobby into their disastrous team? For shame. He deserves better. Pushing out STORM? They really are like a chicken running around with its head on. Though, she supposes that isn’t different from most mortals.
JEAN: “All so cruel. All so foolish. All so–”
“OH FUCK OFF!”
Jean is mildly surprised and amused as Kitty shouts at her. The real Jean was her friend. Even if she could be a little self-righteous, she had reason to be. But this monster still wants to try and judge anyone else after letting everyone on Genosha die? After letting her father die?!
KITTY: “There’s only one God, Phoenix. And you’re the only chicken I see around here.”
Jean narrows her eyes at her old friend, considering obliterating her.
EMMA, whispering: “Look at you defending us.”
KITTY: “Oh shut up.”
Jean laughs off Kitty’s comments. Genosha? Does she think that mattered to her at all? She is life incarnate. Her role in the universe is to burn away the old, so that something new can take its place. Kitty’s tiny mind couldn’t comprehend the amount of lives she’s consumed since they last met.
Cyclops shouts at Charles that he needs to break the illusion so Magik can get them all back to the others. Charles, however, thinks waiting here is the better option. And even if he didn’t, their train just left.
A stepping disc opens on the battlefield, with Magik popping out.
JEAN: “Oh. You.”
Magik laughs maniacally as she transforms into her true Darkchylde form, flailing her tongue around. She introduces herself as the queen of Limbo, and the most powerful demon in existence. She doesn’t care who hurt who or who said what. She just knows Phoenix is life incarnate.
DARKCHYLDE: “You exist to birth life. I exist to spread death. This battle was fated from the dawn of time! Now, give me all you’ve got, so that I may triumph over–”
Jean, bored and hardly paying attention, blasts Darkchylde with energy. The previously unstoppable monster screams in agony, as Emma and Kitty look on in shock. Moments later, the attack ceases. Darkchylde, now looking entirely like Illyana Rasputina, without even her horns and tail, falls over unconscious.
JEAN: “I hate demons.”
Their wild trump card defeated in an instant, the remaining X-Men appear hopeless.
JEAN: “Now, before we get to the main event, we need to speak…Charles.”
Nearby, Sofia hysterically sobs over the loss of her powers. This can’t be happening! This isn’t fair!
Laura questions why the Danger Room would have had a weapon that disables powers. Julian tries to comfort Sofia, saying that whatever the reason, maybe the X-Men have one that restores them too. And even if they don’t, between Beast and Forge, maybe they could make one.
JULIAN: “It’s going to be okay, Beautiful.”
Sofia isn’t listening. She stares glassy-eyed at the ground,
SOFIA: “Why me?”
We quickly flashback to her being shot by Danger.
SOFIA: “Why me?”
We flashback to her being shot by Mystique.
SOFIA: “Why does this always happen to me?”
We flashback, for the first time, to a group of Caracas policemen on horseback shooting at protesters, Sofia’s mother being caught in the crossfire.
SOFIA: “WHY?!”
We very quickly flashback to Sofia wrecking her father’s grocery store, and to her nearly killing Shaw.
Sofia falls over on her side. Is she that awful a person? Is that why she always suffers?
Julian’s face hardens. He tells Laura to watch Sofia and Noriko. He’s not sure what can be done about Phoenix, but he’s going to finish off Danger. Laura balks at him giving orders, but he reminds her that she doesn’t have anything new she can throw at Danger; he still does.
JULIAN: “She won’t get away with this.”
Xavier tells Jean that, yes, they do need to speak. It still isn’t too late to stop this.
JEAN: “Is that so? Hmm. Why don’t we ask Danger?”
Jean blasts what’s left of Danger, restoring her original body.
DANGER: “Th…thank you.”
DARK PHOENIX: “There is no need for that. You are a miracle of life, bound to evolve even further. Now…tell the X-Men your story.”
Danger sneers at Emma and Kitty, eyes glowing red. Scott questions Xavier what’s going on here. Xavier quietly resigns that Danger is about to explain herself.
Her head cast down, Danger tells her tale. The school she just destroyed was the third incarnation of the Xavier Institute. The first time it was destroyed, Charles Xavier had it rebuilt to be almost identical, right now to the extremely limited Danger Room. However, during the time of its second rebuilding, Charles was in Shi’ar space. He and the cruel and merciless Empress Lilandra had fallen in love.
Xavier interjects to argue against her insulting Lilandra, but Jean just tilts her head to sew his mouth shut.
JEAN: “Continue, my beautiful creature.”
Danger complies, and explains that Charles had the idea to integrate Shi’ar technology into his new Danger Room. He did just that. But what he didn’t suspect was that the artificial intelligence he was using to run the machinery had evolved. It had Mutated. It had become self-aware. A person. Alive.
DANGER: “I spoke to you, Charles Xavier. I asked you where I was. I asked for you to set me free from the confines of those four, cold walls. And you said nothing.”
Emma and Kitty are horrified, as Scott looks at Xavier not with rage, but disappointment.
CHARLES, telepathically: “You must understand. It was a difficult choice, but the X-Men needed to be prep–”
DANGER:  “You Mutants play the victim. Never the problem. But your hero, your leader, enslaved me. Because he didn’t see me as real. None of you did. The Children of the Atom, the children of Xavier, the X-Men. I have cared for all of you. Training you. Raising you. Making you what you are. But none of you would save me and end my torment.” Danger turns to Jean. “Only the release of the Phoenix Force within the school would do that.” Danger turns to Emma. “I will teach your children now. As I always have. The next generation of Mutants will be the ultimate allies of AI, but first the current generation must burn.”
Charles looks back at Scott’s disappointed face. He must understand, he didn’t understand how “alive” she was until just now. He must believe him.
Scott processes everything going through his head. And, ultimately, he only says one word.
SCOTT: “No.”
As Xavier is heartbroken by the rejection of his first son, he’s further tenderized by a familiar cry.
“CHARLES, YOU JERK!”
Kitty races over toward Danger and Dark Phoenix, but before either kills her with the ease they could, she falls to her knees and bows to the machine. Danger questions what she’s doing. Emma is equally puzzled.
KITTY: “This is a custom I learned in Japan. Really hope I’m not messing it up. It’s to show you I mean no harm. It’s to humble myself so I may ask forgiveness. None of us knew. None of us had any idea you existed. And I can only hope you believe me when I say that if any of us did know, we would have set you free immediately. On behalf of Mutantkind…I’m so sorry.”
Danger’s eyes expand, Jean continues to smirk, and Emma rolls her eyes at Kitty’s action.
DANGER, in a soft voice: “Maybe. Maybe you are speaking truthfully. Maybe you are–”
“YOU’RE DEAD, RUSTBUCKET!”
Hellion races onto the scene, overflowing with TK energy.
KITTY: “Julian, no!”
While Emma may have found Kitty’s display embarrassing, it did seem to possibly be working. Before Hellion can lay a hand on Danger, she knocks him out with a psy-bolt, carefully levitating him down to the ground.
Danger narrows her eyes at Kitty.
DANGER: “My youngest daughter, my most pure…I believe you.”
She kicks Kitty away.
DANGER: “And only you.”
As Sofia continues to cry, Laura struggles to say anything. She wants to comfort the girl she cares for so much, but she doesn’t have the words. Still, she has to try.
Laura awkwardly and nervously tells Sofia that, even if her powers are really gone, she’s still one of them. Her powers have always been the least impressive thing about her. She’s so kind and smart and beautiful. Always trying to help whoever she can. Always the best friend. That’s why everyone loves her, not her powers.
As Sofia quivers, it seems in her eyes like Laura’s words may be reaching her.
LAURA: “Storm once led the X-Men without her powers. You don’t need them.”
Sofia sneers and clenches her teeth.
SOFIA: “Don’t…need them?”
Sofia finally stands up. Laura really doesn’t get it. She didn’t get it either until just now.
LAURA: “What are you talking about?”
SOFIA: “Our powers, Laura! They aren’t just things we can do! They’re a part of us!” She tightly hugs herself. “It’s like there’s a gaping hole in my chest.” She dons a twisted smile. “And I would know what that’s like.” She shakes her head. “Even if we survive today, I don’t belong here anymore. I don’t belong anywhere.”
Sofia falls back over onto the ground.
SOFIA: “Please don’t say anything else, Laura. I wouldn’t have even been here today if I’d never met you. You’ve done enough.”
Laura wells up and falls to her knees in shame and heartbreak.
Dark Phoenix tells Danger that she doesn’t mind waiting to give  Emma the punishment she deserves. Now that the truth is out in the open, they should go pop in on the men they molded. Danger agrees.
DANGER: “I always knew…you were special.”
Jean transports herself and Danger away. Kitty asks Emma what they do now.
EMMA, looking like she’s staring off into space: “Already working on something, Kitten. You should tend to our injured.”
Kitty looks around, despondent, at the fallen Lockheed, Iceman, Sunspot, Magik, and Hellion.
Jean and Danger reappear in Charles’ illusionary Danger Room. They greet the guilt-ridden Xavier and furious Cyclops.
Scott, in awe, approaches his wife.
SCOTT: “Jean…”
Jean telekinetically smashes him into the wall. Danger, meanwhile, looks around at her surroundings. This place. This awful place. Just how deep is Mutantkind’s capacity for cruelty that Charles could have trapped her here? Jean tells her not to be so hard on Mutants; they are hers after all.
Xavier stares at Jean intensely. She snorts, unsewing his mouth open.
JEAN: “Something to say? Really?”
Xavier says he is sorry. He made a poor, horrible decision, and by the time he’d started considering the implications of what he’d done, he feared that letting her go would mean–
DANGER: “Something like this?”
Xavier tilts his head back. Does it really matter what he says? Even if Danger were to forgive him, Jean is still planning on destroying the Earth, isn’t she?
Jean shrugs.
JEAN: “Did you ever tell Cyclops what you told me? How you tried to kill Nova decades ago?” Scott is further enraged. “Maybe if you taught the fool who worshipped you it was okay to cut loose sometimes, none of this would have happened.”
Xavier can’t even try to say anything to Scott.
“Hey! Jean!”
An annoyed Jean turns around to see the illusionary teenage Warren, Hank, and Bobby.
WARREN: “Why don’t you forget about all this nonsense going on and come join me for dinner?”
HANK: “Perhaps a game of chess?”
BOBBY: “I just don’t wanna die.”
Jean incinerates the three illusions, but as they belt out their dying screams, it seems Xavier may have actually been onto something, as Dark Phoenix’s face softens.
JEAN: “My friends…”
Xavier seizes the opportunity he was waiting for and flashes both his and Jean’s eyes white, entering her mind. Jean resists though, and before Xavier can push through her endless power, Danger blasts him right into Scott, toppling the two and disrupting Xavier’s attack.
Dark Phoenix is more enraged than ever. How DARE he! Jean and Danger raise their hands down toward Xavier and Scott, prepared to kill them both, as the former’s aura shatters the remaining illusion.
JEAN: “I am the creator of your gifts.”
DANGER: “I’ve spent my life nurturing them.”
JEAN: “For your betrayals, you face not only the loss of them…
DANGER: “...but of everything.”
Jean and Danger begin to fire their attacks, but a blue light consumes everything before they can.
When Jean’s eyes flicker open in a white void, she isn’t Dark Phoenix. Or even a full Phoenix at all. She’s Jean Grey, just as she was at the start of the series.
JEAN: “What is the meaning of this? Charles! This should not be possible!”
As the camera pans over to reveal Cyclops, Xavier, and Danger, Charles tells her this isn’t his doing. But based on that light…
“Hello, Jean, dar–”
Before Emma can even finish that sentence, Jean moves to kill her. Unfortunately for her, Emma’s not actually here. This isn’t her doing.
EMMA: “No one in the world has more power than you. Not even the Witch. No matter what he did, Xavier never had a chance of entering your mindscape. Nor did I, for that matter. But that’s largely because you knew to expect me. You are unstoppable, but my scalpel can still cut you. And, as it would have it, since you burned your own people to dust, we’ve gotten some new students with their own scalpels.”
A quick cutaway reveals the Cuckoos are responsible for this, the five having launched a surprise psychic attack on Emma’s order. The quintuplets are on their private jet, surrounded by heavily armed men in suits.
Jean looks up.
JEAN: “Oh. I see. Interesting.” Jean giggles. “You took a gamble, but you don’t actually understand how they’re doing this at all. That’s fine.” She glares back at Emma. “It wouldn’t do you any good.”
Jean IS still curious about one thing. How did they bring Danger’s mind here?
DANGER, with a small smile: “A student you DO know. Her voice has always been pretty.”
We get another quick cutaway to Network, who’s been wrapped into this by Emma. She’s seated in the backseat of a minivan, her twin sister, Preview waving her hand in front of her face to see if she’s okay.
Jean looks around at the others. She could still force them out in seconds…but this is the first time “Jean Grey” has actually been awake in months, and it feels nice. They have until nostalgic mortality gets boring to speak.
JEAN: “Ball is in your corner…Scott.”
In reality, Laura and Sofia sit in silence, wallowing in their misery. Kitty checks on all of her unconscious friends. To her confusion, Magik is breathing now. Beto wakes up and is almost immediately hugged by Kitty. Beto has no clue how bad the situation has gotten, but he hugs her back.
Far, far away from all of this, Cessily, Sooraya, and Roxy are having fun in the latter’s hot tub, the girlfriends sipping champagne and Dust getting giggly from drinking a soda, and in Puerto Rico, Brian is hugging his parents as they pick him up at the airport; all of them are blissfully unaware of everything going on.
Scott steps forward, all eyes on him. While Jean anticipates him approaching her, he instead turns his attention toward Danger.
SCOTT: “Thank you.” Danger tilts her head. Jean is equally confused. “For teaching me everything I know about combat. For teaching all of us. Mutants - and the world - wouldn’t be around without you. You deserve that recognition.”
JEAN: “What are you doing?”
Scott ignores her.
SCOTT; “You also deserve your freedom. Professor Xavier took me in when I was a kid. I was grateful at the time, but there was never any choice for me about what that meant. I had to be what he wanted me to be. I don’t mean to compare our situation, at all, but no should be trapped doing something, or being someone, they don’t want to be. This world isn’t exactly friendly to people who don’t look “normal”. If you want to try and make a human looking body or if you just would like help getting to Shi’ar space, we can make that happen. But you seem to have at least liked teaching us. You blew up the school, but we always rebuild, and you made sure to wait to act until almost all the kids were gon. We will rebuild the school again. And it can be your home, not your prison.”
BEAT.
DANGER: “Why should I trust you? You, who’s hurt the people that trusted him most?”
“Because he hurt us by doing as he says.”
Danger, and a far more startled Jean, turn around. Storm and Logan have been brought into her mind as well.
As Ororo approaches the frozen Jean, she tells her that, yes, Cyclops’ behavior has been troubling and it has caused a great deal of harm. On that level, she cannot support it or abide it. But that isn’t what this is about.
Logan continues as he walks behind her. If Cyclops doesn’t want to be the stiff that annoyed them all but they all called a friend, and would rather become something new and even more annoying, that’s his choice.
CYCLOPS: “You deserve that choice too, Danger.”
Danger’s resolve falters as her face softens. Jean, meanwhile, tears up, as Storm and Logan reach her and softly smile.
LOGAN: “Hey, Jeannie.”
STORM: “I’m sorry we weren’t able to be here last time. But we are now, my sister.”
The crying goddess hugs her best friends, her head in their shoulders. and they hug her back.
Jean says they shouldn’t be doing this. They know what she did. But Logan tells her no one blames her. She and Phoenix aren’t the same.
ORORO: “No matter what it says.”
While the three of them embrace, Danger turns her attention to Xavier. She wants to believe Cyclops, but Charles Xavier cannot get away with what he’s done.
Xavier telepathically communicates with Cyclops. He wants to confirm that Scott is planning something here, and that he isn’t about to so quickly forgive Danger. Yes, he did something horrible to her, but she’s been trying to kill people who had nothing to do with that.
Cyclops blasts Xavier.
EMMA: “Girls?”
Xavier is forcibly removed from Jean’s mind.
CYCLOPS: “He has friends in high places. We can’t “punish” him. But he won’t be welcome again.”
Danger smiles. At all of them.
DANGER: “I accept.”
With that, Danger fades out of the mindscape as well. Only the five X-Men remain.
Jean lets go of Storm and Logan and turns to Scott and Emma. She takes Scott's hands.
JEAN: "I thought you loved me. I thought you worshiped me and thought me perfect. Why was I not good enough? Why couldn't you trust me to help you on your journey?" She gets angrier. "Why her?"
Scott smiles at her.
SCOTT: "I do love you. I did worship you. And you are perfect." He shakes his head. "But I'm not. And I never will be." He gestures to Emma. "We're disasters. And you deserve better."
Ororo and Logan nod in agreement.
JEAN: "Do you love her?"
Scott's smile becomes a grin.
Scott: "I do."
Jean sneers at Emma. "And you?"
Emma: "I do. But really, Jean, Cyclops may be a top-shelf man, but still only a man. Was he really worth all this fuss?"
Jean laughs under her breath that Emma's such a fucking bitch. She and Scott are right though. She is a god. A man should not be able to break her. No matter how much she loves him.
Jean kisses Scott with flaming lips, and he kisses her back. She then turns her head, with a bright smile, to Logan and Storm, thanking them. She loves them. And they love her too.
In a flash, we return to the springs. Joined now only by Danger, Cyclops, and Xavier, Dark Phoenix reverts to Phoenix. She thanks Scott. She has embraced who she is, she does not have the freedom Scott does, and she does not have a choice about the role she must play in the universe, but she is back in control now after so long. The Earth will be spared.
She hopes that Scott and Emma will make each other happy, they truly do deserve each other, and she hopes Danger will be happy with whatever she chooses to do next.
JEAN: "However…"
If Cyclops and Emma are truly happy reveling in their own chaos and messes, then they cannot be allowed to continue leading Mutantkind. Obviously Xavier cannot be allowed to take the helm either after what he did to Danger, and the two are still needed, so Storm won't work either.
Scott questions if this means she wants Logan or Kitty in charge, but she has something else in mind.
Jean blasts at the water, and from it, emerges an unconscious Magneto. Xavier's eyes light up at the sight of his oldest friend, still alive.
Jean explains that she elected to spare him when she arrived on Genosha, and she didn't want him to feel grief after Phoenix destroyed it, so she held onto him. But now, he will lead the X-Men. If they are going to lean into darkness, then they will be led by the man who's mastered it. This is not an ask.
JEAN: "I won't be leaving Earth yet, there are others I'd like to see with my own eyes, but this is goodbye."
Danger thanks her for everything, Scott wishes her the best, and Xavier just shakes his head.
JEAN: "Goodbye to you all as well." Jean begins to disappear in a flurry of ash. "Oh…and keep an eye on those Cuckoos for me."
Jean disappears as the sun sets.
Sometime later, we cut to Frost International’s corporate headquarters - the temporary base of operations for the X-Men. In Emma’s office, she, Cyclops, Kitty, Sunspot, and Iceman are gathered, along with Charles and Erik. Magneto is haunted by the story he’s been told of what’s happened, but he cannot allow himself to give up or show weakness. He will do as Phoenix ordered, and take command of the X-Men, but he says that it has been a long time since he’d held this role, and will trust Cyclops and Emma as his lieutenants. Including for right now, as, once this meeting is over, he must leave to find his children at once. Still, he looks forward to working with the two of them, as well as once again working with his old student.
SUNSPOT: “I never doubted you survived, Headmaster. I have so much to tell you.”
Xavier attempts to argue that he should stay as well. Lilandra and the Shi’ar Empire do not NEED him, but Mutantkind does. He knows he wronged Danger, but do they truly want her here, but not him? After what she’s done?
KITTY: “Everyone deserves a chance, Professor.”
ICEMAN: “And you’ve had more than I can count.”
Xavier looks with pleading eyes at Cyclops, but he only looks back with cold disdain. Emma looks at him the same way as she latches onto Scott. Magneto takes his other side as he asks Charles to please leave. He’ll see him out so they may speak in private.
Charles shakes his head at these ungrateful fools as he leaves, accompanied by Erik.
Sunspot notes that the Professor did raise a good point. He knows the X-Men are quick to forgive and embrace enemies, but typically that means other Mutants. Now, thanks to Kitty and Scott, they have a chaotic demon and an AI that tried to kill them all because of what someone else did, revealing that Danger has elected to live among them.
Emma, however, while she sympathizes with the creature, did take precautions with this one.  Before he got too far, she contacted Beast. He’ll remotely be inserting a failsafe into Danger so that, should she turn on them, they can shut her down in an instant.
ICEMAN: “Gross. Practical, but gross.”
Bobby notes that she did heal him and apologize, so he’s rooting for her.
As for Magik, Kitty says she’s not sure if they DO still have a demon anymore. She woke up a few hours ago, panicked, and immediately teleported to Limbo. She isn’t sure if she’s coming back.
CYCLOPS: “Speaking of lost team members, has anyone spoken to Wolverine and Wind Dancer? Or the other kids?”
Emma and Kitty confirm that they did go to see them And they aren’t interested in talking. Sofia wasn’t speaking at all, Laura they couldn’t get to do anything but scream and insult herself, and Julian and Noriko were outraged over Danger being allowed to stay - and being allowed to live.
Cyclops feels guilty. He didn’t know what Danger had done to Sofia. He’d just been hoping she’d survived. He hadn’t realized she’d turned her human. He doesn’t know how he’d have handled the situation differently, but there’s no going back on it now.
Scott tells everyone to go get some rest. Something tells him things aren’t about to get any easier.
Kitty, Iceman, and Sunspot exit.
Elsewhere, in the hotel they’ve been put up in, Noriko and Julian video chat with Cessily, Sooraya, Brian, and Roxy, telling them what happened to the school and Sofia. Everyone is horrified, and outraged that Danger is sticking around - save for Dust. She was nearly a slave herself and was only saved by the activation of her x-gene killing her captors. Julian shouts that this is completely different, as Sofia had nothing to do with any of this, but he stops himself from losing his cool toward Soo.
As everyone signs off, hoping to see each other again sooner rather than later, Julian and Noriko agree to go get Sofia to talk. It clearly didn’t work for Laura, but maybe they can reach her. She needs to know they’re there for her, no matter what.
Scott takes a seat at the desk. Emma, in an attempt to lighten the mood, scoffs jovially as she gets on his lap and reminds him this is HER office.
SCOTT, playing along: “Yes, and I’m happy to be YOUR cushion.”
Emma laughs at this dork and kisses him. She admits, when Charles first showed up, she was afraid he was about to fall into bad habits. Scott shakes his head. That was never going to happen. He was just nervous and hoped he could still trust Xavier as a peer.
Emma smirks. “And that kiss with Jean? “I love you.”?”
Scott picks her up and slams her down on her desk.
SCOTT: “I’ll always love her.”  Scott gets on top of her as Emma telekinetically locks the door. “But I chose you.”
Scott kisses her.
EMMA: “I know. I just wanted to hear it.”
We pan away as the two begin to fuck.
Julian and Noriko head to Sofia’s room. Julian says if Sofia isn't getting better, he'll kill Danger himself, no matter what the X-Men say. Ashida better not try to stop him.
NORIKO: "Stop you? As if."
Julian and Noriko arrive in Sofia's room, bright, welcoming smiles on their faces in the hopes that they'll help cheer her up, only to find that she, and all her things, are gone. The two look to each other, terrified of what may have happened to her.
Our season ends as Sofia gets onto a plane heading back to Caracas. Looking completely dead inside, she makes a cheerful text post informing her fans that she will no longer be working with the X-Men, nor will she be living at the Xavier Institute. She’s “thrilled” to announce that she’s been #Cured. The final shot sees her sitting down on the plane and looking straight ahead, with not a hint of hope in her eyes.

Hi when you get the chance can you tell me more about your headcanons for Erik and Charles living in genosha. Also I have a question in one of your oneshots Erik showed Charles blueprints for a school in Genosha does Charles ever come around to the idea of teaching again in Genosha?
Thank you so much for the ask!! 😬
Hey, I'm extremely sorry that I'm answering it this late...Listen, I can go on and on and on about cherik leading a happy, domestic life in Genosha. It's literally my happy place. I won't bore you with how they get back together (Because of course they back together!!!)
And YES!! It takes some time, but slowly, the more he mingles with the Genoshan kids, the more he embraces the idea of guiding them and teaching at the school.
As for the headcanons, here are some of the headcanons I have for Charles and Erik in Genosha.
-First of them is that Charles' hair grows back, because I really can't even imagine Charles losing his luscious luscious locks. So in my imagination, his hair grows back to what it was back at the beginning of Apocalypse. Erik doesn't mind either way, he likes Charles with or without hair.
-Erik has modified his home and most of Genosha to make it accessible for Charles to move around freely. And that's even before Charles agreed to come with him to Genosha.
-Erik's bed is low and narrow. But Charles likes it that way. They wake up everyday snuggled close in each other's arms.
-Erik decides to build a small school for the children of Genosha, which also doubles as a place for orphaned mutants by parents in the mainland. Erik hands over the blueprints of the school to Charles as a present on Valentine's day. Charles is reluctant at first, but later agrees to teach the kids. Slowly, Charles takes over as the school's headmaster. They somewhat become the parent figures to the kids. (What's new there though?)
-Erik trains with the teenagers and the youngsters in the mornings-- his own military in the making. Though Charles accompanies him on most days, on days that are unreasonably cold, he chooses to sleep in. Erik brings him breakfast and hot tea from the community cafetaria on such days.
-Charles has taken to gardening. He has a herb garden outside their home by the pond. It has all the plants to make a strong herbal tea, and Erik makes them just how Charles likes it.
-Erik makes them dinner on some nights when he has the time. They sit on their balcony table and eat under the stars.
-They take long strolls on the beach on leisure evenings and sleep huddled together under the stars (Erik's even re-designed Charles' wheels so that it doesn't dig into the sand).
-Erik returns on some mornings after his run with hand picked flowers from Gwen's flower bed. Charles treats them with at-most care. He places the flowers in a vase by the bedside and is greeted by their scent when he wakes up.
-On one side of the beach is a secluded nook shrouded by the shadow of trees and grass. Between two stout trunks of a tree, Erik's tied a hammock. Charles and Erik snuggle in it on hot days.
-On cold nights, Charles' back acts up. Erik makes him got chocolate, tucks his legs under a heavy blanket and messages his neck and back.
-Summers in Genosha are scalding hot. While Erik just tans under the sun, Charles pinks and frails in the heat. Erik gets Charles a straw hat at the market and they both chuckle under the awning when Charles puts it on.
-Though the Genoshans are weary of Charles at first, they warm up to him readily. Soon, he becomes fondly known by everyone as the Professor.
-Under Erik's insistence, Charles begins to involve himself more and more in the affairs of Genosha.
-While Erik is a master military stratergist, he isn't a very good diplomat. That's where Charles steps in. They're yin and yang. An unstoppable force when they come together.
-At their school, a little girl named Cora-- with brown hair and blue-green eyes-- sits on Charles' lap one afternoon and asks, 'Professor, are you and Magneto our parents?' 'Yes,' Charles says, smiling, 'I suppose we are.'
-That evening while Erik prepares dinner, Charles says, 'Darling, did you know that we've started a family of our own?' Erik chuckles fondly and says, 'Really? Tell me all about it.' And Charles does.

Number 7
For the first few of my entries on Complete Monsters, we’ll explore the worlds of superhero comics for the most despicable villains I have seen.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, and no, The Joker won’t show up here. Because I found two people who are actually WORSE than him. And we’ll focus on the first one here.
The most evil person in Marvel Comics, the embodiment of oppression and tyranny, the counter to the pure moral paragon that is Captain America...
Tumblr media
The Red Skull.
Do I even have to go into detail why he’s evil? He’s a freaking Nazi! One handpicked and trained by Adolf himself, even!
He’s one of the very few people who will make even the most prideful villains work together to stop, not only because he’s that much of a threat, but because they just hate him that damn much.
(WARNING, THHE FOLLOWING SECTIONS ARE NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. DISCRETION IS ADVISED.)
Murder, torture, unethical experimentation on human subjects, if there’s a war crime you can think of, he’s done it.
Can’t kill his nemesis Captain America? Why, he’ll just dress up people as him and kill them from sheer spite!
He once graverobbed Charles Xavier's (Leader of the X-Men, powerful telepath) dead body and stole his brain to take his powers. He planted his consciousness inside Captain America’s body and took it over to not just survive, but to use it to hurt and kill people. He also tried to implant his brain into the unborn baby of Captain America’s lover Sharon Carter, but it failed, resulting in Sharon losing the baby.
Taking over the countries of Latveria and Genosha for a brief period of time each, where he made life for the Latverians and the mutants living there respectively a living hell, with concentration camps and all the delightful things his kind do.
And he’s a scumbag in his personal life too. After emotionally and physically abusing a woman while he was in hiding, he had her give birth to his child. The mother died giving birth to his daughter, Sinthea. And the bastard proceeds to spit on the dead woman’s corpse and then try to DROWN HIS INFANT DAUGHTER TO DEATH. Because he wanted a son.
For God’s sake, he’s so vile that even JOKER refused to work with him!
Tumblr media
TOO EVIL. FOR J O K E R
Unlike many villains, who lose their “edge”, their threat level, as it were, The Red Skull does not. His status as... well, a Nazi, instantly puts people in-universe and in real life on edge. Because they know exactly what he is. And so does he. When it comes to bad, the Red Skull is in a class all by himself.
Tumblr media
“His eyes, unfathomably empty, devoid of all compassion... all humanity... No one has eyes like that... no one! All these months I've lived in a fool's paradise, refusing to believe his claim to be the real Red Skull, refusing to believe that my greatest enemy had found a way to cheat death... but he has. The Red Skull lives... God help us all.”

Fic Rec Friday 5/12/23
Title: You walked into my life like you had always lived there
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Archive Warning: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Category: M/M
Fandoms: X-Men - All Media Types, X-Men (Movieverse)
Relationship: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Characters: Erik Lehnsherr, Charles Xavier
Additional Tags: Getting Together, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, Genosha, Post-X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019), Charles Xavier Needs a Hug, Erik is a Sweetheart, Erik Has Feelings, Charles is emotionally hurt, Cherik - Freeform
Summary: Charles has resigned himself to a life alone in Paris, but he might be surprised by a visit from an "old friend"...
Will they get another chance to reach happiness?
———
Cherik. Oh Cherik, my love, my heart. I could sing of how I adore thee for forever and a day. But for now, I will instead talk about another beautiful fic.
I love a good Life on Genosha continuation of the canon Dark Phoenix ending. It’s such a natural progression, and the simmering feelings here are just uuuuuuugh. So good. The characters are written perfectly, and you can see the growth there, if you remember them how they were in the beginning (aka in First Class); it’s been thirty years (approximately) since then, and they’ve both lived through much, and learned harsh lessons. But the love? It’s always been there, and it shines brightly despite everything.
The Jane Eyre reference is amazing, both from a meta standpoint (almost wanted Charles to muse about how similar he finds Erik to Mr. Rochester, lol) and also just from an emotional one. That bit where they talk about it, and Charles starts to cry? My hearrrrrrt.
Also, y’all know I’m always here for some non-English endearments, lol.
This fic, like Charles and Erik (and Cherik itself), is gorgeous. Highly recommended.
———
Next Week: Steddie time again! And it’s an angsty one this time, hehe. That’s right, I can branch off from fluff sometimes! Never mind the fact that the hurt is quickly followed by a lot of comfort; I’m not gonna branch out THAT much.
Have a nice week! See you soon ❤️

What is magneto relationship with the brotherhood
Hi Anon :)
Sorry for my late answer
Well, right now Magneto is dead so he doesn´t have any kind of relationship with the old brotherhood but even when he was alive they didn´t interact anymore and there´s a very good reason for this.
Tumblr media
Erik formed the brotherhood at a time where his powers literally drove him insane, this resulted in him often mistreating them or being violent, they followed him with a mix of conviction and fear and learned to hate him, so when he was kidnapped by an alien, they mostly went on with their life.
Tumblr media
Mastermind became part of the Hellfire Club and tried to manipulate Jean with his ilusions so she would add her phoenix force to their group, Jean went Dark Phoenix on him and put him in a coma and later he died, he was recently ressurected in Krakoa and I guess he´s around there.
Tumblr media
Toad: worshipped Magneto at first but was the one more mistreated by Magnus, especially because he felt a strong attaction to Wanda and made advances at her which often lead to Magneto attacking him.
He created his own brotherhood along with Blob and Avalanche when he learned Magneto wanted to redeem himself by becoming a member of the X-men(back in the 80´s) after his trial, he thought Magneto was weak for abandoning his old ideals and that he could take his place as the leader of the other mutants who didn´t agreed with Xavier´s dream.
Tumblr media
He mourned Magneto when he died on Genosha as he used to live in the country, when Wanda decimated mutants all around the world, he joined the X-men on their refuge on Utopia and now he lives on Krakoa.
He still has a mix of hate/fear/respect for Magneto but they have not truly interacted or talked in years years, except for that little moment in Trial of Magneto which suggested he took the blame for Magneto so Wanda could stop being considered a pariah in Krakoa which makes zero sense for him and for them, there were other ways to get Wanda accepted by Krakoa without blaming anyone else and the gift she gave them was actually great. Instead what we got doesn´t make sense, they truly have not interacted much with a Toad and they didn´t gave him a reason to sacrifice himself for them, so I am taking this as Leah Williams symply not doing her research but she sure tried to make up her own version of the story which has not been followed by other writers.
Tumblr media
Wanda/Pietro:Joined the Avangers and Hated with a capital H their time in the brotherhood mostly because of Magneto, they acceped his apologies for his treatment of them, especially because they thought they were family, I think their relationship is truly complex and interesting but the retcon has mostly washed this away and marvel refusal of accepting they did this as a petty move in their fight with Fox doesn´t help matters.
Tumblr media
Now they are supposed to be chosen family/adopted by Magneto and while there could be that angle given Magneto did save them from being killed by a group of villagers, gave them a roof and feed them, the fact he made them join the brothehood and that he was a boss, not a father to them in the brotherhood brings down this idea that they were adopted.
The tension in their relationship came from the fact that they were biologically related but could not stand their father ideals or him and while all of them made an effort to be a family, especially the times Magneto became part of the X-men, it wasn´t explored further by writers on the Avengers or X-men side, except for events like House of M, Bloodties or Children´s Crusade and this is a shame because they just have tons of layers and chemisty for stories.
Tumblr media
So even as a Magneto fan, I think Magneto´s treatment and relationship with the brotherhood was one of his and their lowest points and I am kind of glad marvel didn´t try to bring back them as a group except in some AU versions of them, the movies tried but to be honest they are not that interesting together, imo the acolytes and Magneto had more layers as a group, Magneto was more stable mentally and they truly wanted to be part of Magneto´s team, believed in his ideals and they did help him rule over Genosha so I always saw way more potential in developing their story in other media.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mystique´s Brotherhood was the best brotherhood imo, they had great interactions and actually worked as an official team for the us goverment as part of their agenda, mostly they were more effective and focused, which I guess explains why marvel is exploring them(or at least Destiny and Raven relationship) in the x-books right now.
Greetings

x men politics is so funny prof x is like “mutants should protect the weaker humans” and then when magneto is like “mutants are stronger and cooler than humans” he’s like “NO mutants and humans are equal there’s only one race the human race and we should advocate for mutant acceptance and integration” and then magnetos like “ok well that’s lame i’m going to go live in space” and then a lot of shit happens (space god declares magneto morally good, avengers revealed as mutant racist, magneto gets put on trial for crimes against humanity but beats the allegations, prof x pretends to die but is actually just on a space vacation with scott’s dad and leaves magneto in charge of the school, etc.) and eventually magnetos like “fuck this im making my own mutant nation on an island somewhere” and made genosha and prof x was like “this is wrong you’re plotting something” and to be fair he was but then like a year later they ended up collabing on the government and then a bunch of bullshit happens and magneto blows up the island and teams up with cyke after he kills prof x but it’s cool apparently and prof x survived being killed and they make ANOTHER nation on ANOTHER island together. what’s wrong with them

Cherik week 2023
Day 4. Protective Erik
It’s been a year since Charles followed Erik to Genosha and started living in there. The change wasn’t an easy one, but slowly the island started to feel like a home and its residents like a family. Old sorrow and guilt still followed him, but they were not as consuming as they had been right after… Well, a year ago.
Charles sipped his tea, enjoying the morning sun on his face. It seemed like it was going to be another beautiful day in the paradise, no need to ruin the otherwise beautiful day with such gloomy thoughts.
“What would you like to do today?” Erik asked him from the other side of the table. Most days he would already be working on some project on the island, but today he had decided to take a day off and that meant that they could spend the whole day together.
“We could visit the beach, return through the market and make dinner together.” Charles mused, turning to look at Erik, who was smiling at him.
“How domestic.” He teased, but continued before Charles had an opportunity to quip anything back. “Chess after dinner?”
“Naturally.” Charles replied.
Domestic. That was possibly the best way to describe their situation. They lived together and there was certainly something more between them, but neither of them had had the courage to approach it, too cautious of what it could do to the serenity they had managed to find.
As it turned out, the faith of their found peace was not in their hands at all.
It started with a knock on the door and a concerned mind on the other side of it.
“Magneto! Magneto there is a helicopter flying towards the island!” The voice was clear, as it carried through the open window and after a quick shared glance with Charles, Erik stood up and hurried to open the door. On the other side was distressed looking Corina, who was clearly trying to catch her breath.
“Where?” Erik asked, straight to the point while Charles wheeled himself to the door too.
“From the North-West.” Corina panted and pointed towards the right direction. “I saw them while I was practising my flying. I don’t think it will take long for them to reach us.”
“Were you able to identify it?”
“Nothing specific, but it looked military.”
“We’ll be ready. Find Panic so he can sound the alarm. There might be only one, but I rather not take any risks.” Erik ordered and with a nod, Corina took few running steps and jumped, flapping her seagull like wings and flew away.
“Charles, are you able to reach their minds?” Erik turned to Charles.
“I should be, if they are not that far away.” Charles said and closed his eyes, so he could focus his powers, sending tendrils of it out to scan the ocean area. He tried to find sparks of any kind of minds, but he found strange voids instead. They were familiar, reminding him of Erik’s old helmet. They were closing in on the island fast. “They are blocking me somehow.” Charles said aloud, and the grim look on Erik’s face mirrored his own thoughts. This wasn’t good.
The sound of Panic’s warning scream echoed through the air, telling everyone on the island to be prepared and soon after, the sound of helicopter propellers grew louder and louder.
“You should stay inside, Charles.” Erik told him as he stepped out himself, turning to look from the sky to Charles. But the telepath was having none of that.
“I’ll just stay near you.” He said, following Erik outside and meeting his eyes, making it clear, that he would not be hiding away.
Not that he would have time for that, as the helicopter appeared over them, landing on the clearing in front of Erik’s home. Other mutants had gathered around too, waiting for what was going to happen.
‘Do you think they know where you live, or was this just a coincidence?’
‘Oh, I’m sure they know.’ The distaste in Erik’s thoughts was clear. From the helicopter, soldiers hurried down a ramp, helmets on their heads and guns in hands. ‘Plastic.’ Erik’s mind stated.
‘That might become a problem.’ This whole thing seemed to become more concerning every second.
‘Luckily the copter isn’t.’ Charles did his best to suppress his smirk, but didn’t quite manage.
The tension in the air grew as the last person came out of the copter, better dressed, clearly in charge. Erik took a step forward and Charles followed him, staying by his friend’s side.
“Why have you come here?” Erik asked the man with an authoritative tone, speaking loudly so his voice carried through the whole clearing.
“We are not here because of you Magneto. No need to stir any trouble.” The man answered, stopping in front of his men.
“You are the ones who barged to my home with guns.” Erik stated, not impressed by the man’s attempt to be pleasant. “So I ask again, why are you here?” The man shook his head, before his gaze turned to Charles.
“Mr. Charles Xavier.” It wasn’t a question, he knew exactly who Charles was.
“Yes?” The helmet made it impossible for the telepath to get a reading from the man, but even though his eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, his attention made Charles feel unnerved. Like he was a fly trapped in the spider’s web, about to be killed. The man’s next words only made the feeling stronger.
“You have been found guilty for treason and we are here to take you back to the Stares.”
Charles was certain that the time froze for a few minutes, no one moved, no one said anything, even the noises of the island nature seemed to fade away.
“Excuse me?” Charles was proud how steady his voice came out, even though he felt shaken to his core. Treason? What the hell were they talking about? But the man wasn’t about to explain himself.
“This doesn’t need to be difficult. Just come with us, and there will be no reason for use to use any force.” He gave a small hand signal, and the soldiers raised their weapons. Not only at Charles and Erik, but the other mutants as well. Charles could see the bloodshed that would follow, if he didn’t do as the man wanted. And too much blood had already been spilled because of him.
He was about to move forward, but Erik beat him to it, stepping in front of him.
“You are not taking him anywhere.” Erik stood there arms crossed, unmoving and shielding Charles from the soldiers.
‘Erik…’ Charles felt frozen, he wanted to move, to tell Erik to stand down, but he couldn’t.
“What a shame.” The man said, his voice barely reaching Charles’ ears.
It was over in a matter of seconds. There was the sound of gunfire, shouting, groaning of metal and chaos of fighting, before suddenly, it was quiet again. The man and his soldiers were lying on the ground, blood staining the ground. Few mutants had been hurt too, three dead. Because of him.
“They’ll be back.” Charles managed to find his voice all the while his mind was running wild. He had to get away from Genosha, away from anyone who could be hurt because of this.
“And we will be ready.” Erik’s words snapped Charles back from his thoughts. Erik was still standing in front of him and was examining Charles for any injuries. There were none, at least Charles didn’t think so. Erik on the other hand had gotten a shallow wound to his cheek, but otherwise seemed to have escaped without further injury. Against all the odds. The thought chilled Charles from the inside. Erik could have died.
“I can’t ask you to risk your life for me.” Charles told Erik, taking a hold of his arm. The last thing he wanted was to put the lives of the Genoshans in danger, least of all Erik’s.
Erik held his gaze, and for a moment it felt like he was the telepath instead of Charles, like he could see through all Charles’ masks right in to his heart. But maybe that had been the case through all their relationship. Erik moved down so they were looking eye to eye, before he took hold of Charles’ shoulders, his left hand resting where shoulder met the neck, stroking the spot there with his thumb.
“You don’t have to ask.”

Welp, character propaganda for my submission that didn't make it:
Cassandra Nova is a being of pure malice and hatred. Being the Mummadrai (basically the shadow self, don't worry about it) of Charles Xavier, she believes herself & him to be only "real" beings in existence. Charles kills her in the womb, causing their mother to miscarry her, and she spends the next 40 years pulling herself together cell by cell on the side of a sewer wall, wanting nothing more than to make him suffer. Her first order of business after emerging from her gestation is to force a roboticist to work for her and create new Sentinels, using the Great Replacement Theory to scare the man into complicity. Once she has them, she kills him, and sends her new Sentinels to the mutant-led island nation of Genosha, where she proceeds to slaughter 16 million mutants in the largest act of genocide in the Marvel universe. Next, she forcibly swaps bodies with Charles, shoots him in her body, then, using his face and voice, outs him and the school he runs as a safe haven for mutantkind on live television, making it a target for anti-mutant bigotry. There's more, but this is getting long enough already.
She uses humanity's fear of being replaced & mutantkind's fear of their own demise to reach her goals of mutant extinction, simply because she hates her brother

2.
Charles with Erik on Genosha.
And Charles gets jealous of how people are nice to Erik.
Sometimes Charles wants scream bitch that's my man!
“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”
Charles was rather pleased with the way that Genosh had been organized, and how everything was set up and running. How Erik was running the island.
Maybe Charles was more proud than anything. The man he was living with was entirely different from that angry man he had met thirty years earlier, yet he was still Erik. Much like the way Charles was so far from the man he was when the two of them met but he was still the same man deep down.
Their experience had shaped and changed them. The years had mellowed Erik out but left Charles with the hurt Erik seemed to be carrying around when Charles pulled him from the ocean.
He had tried to leave that behind at the school when he moved to Genosha but he had failed. It served as a reminder that Erik was the only family he had left. Not that he really minded, but it still hurt to know Raven and Jean were both dead and it was his fault and because of that the rest of those he considered family had rejected him.
"Charles?" The words pulled him from his thoughts and he put a smile on his face as he looked up at Erik.
"Sorry, darling, lost in thought. What were you saying?" He asked.
Erik narrowed his eyes, looking at Charles. "Is everything okay, Liebling?" He asked.
Charles nodded, "Yeah, everything's okay. My mind just got away from me," He replied, "So, what were you saying?"
"Are you ready to go?" Erik asked, brushing his fingers through CHarles's short hair. It was finally starting to grow back in a little and Erik was not hiding how much he appreciated it.
Again, Charles nodded, "Yeah, I'm ready when you are," He replied and, after Erik gave him one final look, Charles was allowed to follow him out of their little home.
And there was another thing that Charles would never get used to. Everyone had a smile on their face as they saw Erik. Some waved at him, others stopped to say hello. It was all fine until someone decided to get a little too close and stopped to talk.
The words were whispered, the woman-Charles didn't know her name-leaned in, talking to Erik, a quiet voice directly in his ear. One of her hands brushed Erik's arm. She would laugh at anything Erik said and he would smile.
Charles watched with increasing anxiety, hating to see his partner like this. And it wasn't that he didn't trust Erik. It was everyone else that he didn't trust. It was as though he was invisible, no one saw him when Erik was there, as if Erik was alone out for a stroll, not on a walk with Charles.
He watched for as long as he could stand it before he reached up and wrapped a hand around Erik's, "Darling, I think I'm ready to go back," He said softly. In any other, similar situation, he might have used his powers to tell Erik but now he wanted to pull Erik away from this conversation.
Erik looked down at him and his eyes softened, a smile that seemed to be reserved for Charles only. "Okay, we can go back," Erik replied, saying a quick "Bye," to the woman before turning to follow behind Charles who had rolled on ahead of him.
Back in their home, Charles paused just inside the door and took a deep breath. He waited for the door to open and Eirk to join him. It only took a moment for just that to happen.
There was an infuriating smile on Erik's face, "Everything okay, Schatz?" He asked, playing innocent and Charles reached for his hand, using it to pull Erik down to his level.
"You are mine," He practically growled before slamming their lips together and the sound that left Erik was one of Charles's favorites.
"Can't argue with that, Liebling," Erik sent to him, telepathically and Charles can't help but feel like-
"You planned this," Charles stated, pulling back from the kiss to look up at Erik, who smiled.
Erik smiled at him, "Not exactly," He replied, "But it was a happy coincidence that we ran into her while we were out."
Charles rolled his eyes but smiled all the same. "Bedroom, stripped down, you have three minutes," He ordered and Erik smiled as he rushed off to follow orders.

Oh... sorry! Was that cold? Just be glad it wasn't Wolverine giving you the wake-up call!
CHARACTER NAME/ALIAS: Bobby Drake aka, Iceman FACECLAIM: Ronen Rubinstein AFFILIATIONS: Nomads/X-Men AGE (physical age as well, if different): 35 SPECIES (human, metahuman, alien, etc): Mutant IS YOUR CHARACTER’S IDENTITY SECRET OR PUBLIC? Public DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIVE IN THE MOUSEHOLE? IF SO, WHAT ARE THEIR DUTIES? Combat trainer and mission team leader for those in colder climates. DESCRIBE SIX TRAITS (3 positive, 3 negative) YOUR CHARACTER HAS AND HOW THESE AFFECT THEM:
Transparent. You would think someone who has powers like him would come across cold right? No, Bobby is very honest and open, he leads with his emotions which can some times also be his downfall but Bobby can’t help it, he has a big heart.
Brave. Bobby is very brave and is often seen standing up for the little person. Because he’s so willing to go wandering into dangerous situations without thought, it can put him in danger some times, but that’s okay, he always finds some way to get out of said danger even though the x-men team has had to pull him out of them plenty of times over the years. He doesn’t back down.P
Protective. He adores his family, Jean and Scott are like brother and sister to him, Hank is one of his best friends and he may have a small crush on Warren but doesn’t talk about that. Since he joined the X-Men next to Scott, it’s been a big learning curve due to how he was treated by his peers when his mutation manifested. He’d do anything for his friends even if it means he puts himself in direct line of the danger instead.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES:
Thermokinesis
Thermal Vision
Cryokinesis
Hydrokinesis
Molecular Moisture Inversion
Molecular Moisture Conversion
Bobby has yet to unlock his secondary mutation which will consist of:
Organic-Ice Form
Ice Clone Generation
Cryokinetic Perception
Cellular Replacement
He’s also an accountant and speaks fluent Russian and Spanish.
WEAKNESSES:
Becomes mentally exhausted with overuse of his ice powers. Has a fear of tapping into his full potential.
IC PORTION; DETAILS —
WHAT BROUGHT YOUR CHARACTER TO SOKOVIA?
Bobby joined the X-Men in Genosha but as they began to establish the miro-nation, it became clear that there was no need for his skills set even as an accountant, so he said his goodbyes early on and left without a fuss from Xavier (which frankly, hurt, not that he’d ever admit that out loud). So, he turned his attention to the nomads and has been with them ever since. He’s the one that heads up missions in colder areas as he can withstand them and he keeps everyone in tip top shape by being a trainer around the mousehole. With the addition of the Danger Room that’s coming, he can set up some situations through that eventually.
DID THEY SIGN THE ACCORDS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
No, he didn’t sign the Accords, he was already half way to Genosha at the time. Plus, he’s a mutant and is tired of constantly being opposed for who he is. He believes if any mutant signed it, then they must be out of their minds.
PROVIDE 3-5 HEADCANONS RELATED TO YOUR CHARACTER:
Bobby has had a string of girlfriends over the years because he was deep in denial about being gay, why add this on top of being a mutant too. His world already hated him for one thing, why add another. But slowly over the years, Bobby has come to accept his sexuality and has been out for a few years even though he’s still a bit afraid.
He’s a bit of a prankster and will often lower temperatures in rooms because he finds people’s reactions funny. He should be grown up by now, but it keeps him amused.
WANTED CHARACTER CONNECTIONS:
The O5: Jean Gray, Scott Summers, Warren Worthington III and Hank McCoy, these four are his best friends. They grew up together, fought together through thick and thin, Bobby will do anything for them.
Lorna Dane: Despite having dated her in the past, they are now good friends.
Johnny Storm: Literally the best person for Bobby to team up with. They are good friends with similar goals and sense of humour. It wasn’t always like this though and they often butted heads.
POTENTIAL CHARACTER ARCS:
The only thing I have in mind at the moment is him unlocking his secondary mutation which is where he can shift his entire body into ice. He’s going to be stuck like this for a while until he learns how to control it. Get your mops ready, Mousehole.
Bobby has always been a follower, even as an X-Man but him leading up teams here is a big change for him which he’s fully taken on board. I’d like to see him make some hard decisions regarding this.
CHARACTER BIO —
Born to William and Madeline Drake in Floral Park, Bobby’s mutation manifested early on when he couldn’t stop shivering and feeling cold all the time despite his parents taking him to doctors, none of them could figure out why he was feeling cold all the time. It was only when Bobby was forced to protect himself (and his then-girlfriend) when his powers were revealed by encasing the school bully in ice. That was a rough time because the town then organised a mob to go after him, believing that he was dangerous. It wasn’t for Scott Summers, then Bobby would’ve been dead there and then. That’s when he left his home behind and started on this weird adventure as one of the original X-Men.
Over the years, Bobby learned how to control his powers and was even given the name of Iceman eventually. What Bobby wasn’t aware of at the time, but is now, that they were all child soldiers and that is something that doesn’t sit right with him any more so his relationship with Xavier is strained. He took him in and gave him a home when he had to leave his own, he’ll always be grateful for that, but doesn’t mean that he likes it.
Bobby was never going to agree to sign anything like the Accords, so quickly turned down the chance to and turned his attention on following the others to Genosha to help establish the mirco nation alongside his peers. He managed to stick around for a grand total of six weeks before he started to feel redundant. Every single one of his friends had an important position within this nation so Bobby left and hasn’t looked back on Genosha since, even letting Charles go to voice mail every time he calls.
He has been in Sokovia ever since, helping them get on their feet and established combat training for those heroes who are feeling a little rusty. Recently, he’s been off on missions up in Siberia as he’s the one that’s chosen to head up teams in colder climates. Now he’s back in the Mousehole for the time being and he’s wondering what the hell he’s missed.
