No Nut November - Axl
A/n: The writing is going to get better in the other's I promise I just wrote this when I didn't have Wi-Fi and therefore autocorrect wasn't correcting automatically.
Warnings: Smut, no nut November, angst (it goes into self worth and stuff so if that's not something you're comfortable with then don't push yourself to read this :3), I think that's it but if I missed anything please let me know :3
Intro
Tumblr media
There was no doubt in Axl’s mind as he left the studio that night that he was going to win this bet and get the 100 bucks. It was just a month of not nutting and he was one of the only ones who didn’t have a partner to go home to, Izzy being the only exception. He was damn sure he was gonna be the winner.
Of course, Axl being Axl he was also a cocky mother fucker and went to strip clubs almost every night, watching as the crowd grew and grew as the days passed. When Duff came in after the first week and said he was out Axl saw just how easy this would be. He was shocked Steven wasn’t the first one out, but it didn’t matter when he’d be the winner whether he was or not, right?
Half way through week two and he was at this new club that had just opened up. It was on a tamer street, a few divebars around but nothing much more than a few stores that closed earlier that day. The club wasn’t advertised as a strip club, nor was it said to be anything sexual, still everyone seemed to get the memo that there was more to it than just sad drunks and a greedy bartender. That was all obviously still there, but so were nearly naked pole dancers!
He walked and saw the dimly lit room filled with people all coming to check out the new joint. There were fancy bars on either side of the room, tables spread speradically about with stages around, some bigger than others to fit multiple at once. No one working there was wearing more than the bare minimum, most were even wearing less.
To the young singers eyes this was heaven. He had a pocket full of cash and a view of wonderful things, all while Led Zepplin’s Dazed and Confused played over the speakers.
Axl walked around, trying to either get a seat or find someone to talk to. He happened to find both when he caught Nikki Sixx’s eye. The poor bassist was drinking the night away while some dick talked his ear off about something or other so when he saw Axl he called him over and, rather rudely, shoved the other guy off his chair.
The man must have been out of his mind wasted because he just kept complaining as he walked off, not seeming the slightest bit mad at Nikki. I mean, all around were hot people, how could he be that upset?
“What’re you doing here?” Nikki asked, happy to have someone else to talk to.
“Wanted to check out the new place, what’d you think I was doing?” He answered confidently as Nikki bought him a drink, a thanks for saving his ears.
“Yeah, but,” he started, glancing around the club, “I thought you guys had some kind of bet going on?” Axl took his drink and thanked the bartender.
“You heard about that?” He took a sip.
“Whole scene’s heard about it at this point.” The raven haired man said as he took a sip of his own drink, a jack and coke. Axl shrugged and set his drink down. “You lose or something?” His attention shot to Nikki at that.
“What? No way, so far only one out is Duff.” Nikki laughed at the gingers immediate defence.
They kept talking into the night until the bassist eventually got bored and went to find someone to take home for the night, leaving Axl to his own mind.
He watched the club, taking occasional sips from his drink. Amidst all the partying he saw many things, a girl yelling at a man, a break-up or divorce as Axl assumed, Nikki heading out with three girls on his arms, one already sucking his neck.
By far his favourite sight that night was this one waitress, she was gorgeous and wearing the skimpiest little bikini, or was it lingerie? Axl couldn’t get a good enough look at it, not from this distance.
He watched as you walked from table to table handing out drinks, chips and chicken, the holy trinity of a strip club. Every time you finished handing things to a table you turned around and waited for them to slip you your tip into the strap of your bottoms. One guy slipped in a ten and smacked your ass so you turned back and demanded a twenty, to which he happily obliged.
Axl loved the spirit you had, he hated seeing some other guy touching you when he so desperately wanted that instead. Seeing that you didn’t take too kindly to it made it all the better for him.
When he saw you coming closer to him, or rather the bar behind him, he took his chance and slid up beside you while you waited for your next tray of beverages and snacks.
“What’s a sweet thing like you doing working here?” He asked with that shit eating grin of his plastered on his face. You turned to him with the most disgusted face you could muster.
“Working.” You looked him up and down, seeing the expensive clothes he’d adorned himself in. “I see you don’t know the meaning.” You muttered. Axl looked taken aback by that comment.
“Don’t know the meaning?” He repeated in an offended tone. “I’m the lead singer of Guns N’ Roses, I could buy you and this club.” He declared. You side-eyed him, still unamused by his presence. He liked that look you gave him, it was a challenge, and he loved challenges. “When do you get off?”
“After your bedtime, sweetheart.” You bit, shooting the bartender a glare as if asking ‘what’s taking so long?!’.
“Oh, come on...” Axl groaned, scanning around the room. “How much for a dance?” He asked, looking back at you. The bartender came over and started making the drinks.
“I’m not doing dances tonight.” You stated.
“No?” Axl thought for a moment, seeing the drinks were almost done and he was running out of time. “How about your number then?” You snorted.
“I only give my number to paying customers.”
“I am a paying customer.” He gave his drink a swirl and took a sip.
“Different customers.” You picked up the tray and started walking away, Axl followed.
“But you aren’t doing dances tonight.” You didn’t reply. “Does that mean I have to come back?” He refused to let up on this.
You managed to slip in with the crowd and he lost you. He could find you and went back to his seat, keeping an eye out in case he could catch you again.
Hours passed, he was about to go home when he just barely got you about to leave to a room in the back. You were talking to one of the security guys there and he rushed over to you.
He reached for your arm when he got to you to get your attention. Of course you turned around at the contact, rolling your eyes when you saw it was him. He pulled out two 100 dollar bills and held them out to you. This caught your attention.
Your jaw dropped and you stared at the cash with wide eyes. “This, for one night with you.” He said with a smile. You looked between him and the money in his hand, chewing your cheek as you thought it through in your head.
“Rockstar, huh?” You mumbled, Axl nodded. “Make it four.” You stated, folding your arms over your chest and holding your chin up high as if you’d won. Then he pulled out two more hundred dollar bills.
“Choice is yours, sweetheart.” You were still hesitant but the money was good, and how bad could it really be?
Axl, on the other hand, was more than happy to be walking out of there with you under his arm. Best four hundred dollars spent in his life.
You got your jacket and bag and left with him.
“My place or yours?” He asked as you both walked down the street.
“Hotel.” You replied as you glanced down the street either way before leading him across.
“My place is nicer than a hotel.” Now that you were out of the crowded club you could really hear his voice, it was deep and already had your mind running. This was just one night, but you’d rather enjoy yourself at least a little, it was better than some of the other guys that had been hitting on you since the place opened.
“I’m not staying at your place, I’ve read too much psych horror.” You told him. There was a hotel not far from the club, since it was so close the two had a deal and all you had to do was show the receptionist a card to get a free love suite.
“I’m not into all that stuff.” Axl said, looking at you, his voice suddenly much more serious now. There was something about that look in his eyes that made you feel safe, but you just couldn’t quite place it.
You nodded and kept walking through the hotel to your room.
You went straight to the bed clothed in black sheets, red velvet comforter and fluffy pillows with a red canopy overhead and heart shaped rug underneath. There was a small kitchen in one corner and a smaller room that was the bathroom not far from it.
The only lights in the room were colourful LED’s and there was a grand window at the other end of the room leading to a balcony. And the best part? Speakers. What more could you want when hooking up with some guy who claimed to be in a band. Of course you’d heard of Guns N’ Roses, but you’ve never seen a picture of them, for all you knew this was just a dick. Still, four hundred dollars is four hundred dollars.
Beside the bed was a small table with a drawer. Inside was a bottle of lube, fluffy handcuffs, a silk blindfold, and a box of condoms. You ignored the kinky shit and grabbed the condom and lube, tossing them on the bed as you took off your jacket.
“We don’t need a condom.” Axl stated.
“Fuck you, you’re putting on a condom.” You barked.
“I-I don’t plan on cumming.” Axl said with a chuckled. Your brows were knitted together as you stared at him. He bit his lip and tossed the box back to you. You were quick to grab it and throw it at him without breaking eye contact, the box hit him in the head.
Not wanting to fight on this Axl just opened the box and took one out before starting to take his clothes off.
He got the condom on and turned back to find you starfished on the bed, looking more ready for sleep than sex. He smiled softly at you and got on the bed beside you. He brushed some hair out of your face, you opened your eyes and looked up at him.
“Tired already?” He asked. You nodded and rolled over, onto your stomach.
“Yeah, can we get this over with fast so I can go to bed?” You mumbled, drawing a chuckle out of Axl.
“Don’t you wanna look at me when we’re doing it?” He asked as he ran his hand along your back and undid your top.
“Not particularly.” Axl hated to admit it, but that kind of hurt. He was determined to get through this night so he could get your number, but also because he wanted to spend this night with you.
He got behind you and poured some lube onto his fingers before spreading it through your folds. You gasped softly at the cold feeling, it turned into a moan when Axl slipped a finger into you.
Slowly, he started pumping in and out of you, stretching you out as he went. You shifted around a bit but always kept your back to him.
Soon he leaned over to whisper in your ear. “If you feel uncomfortable you can tell me to stop.” He assured and planted a soft kiss to your shoulder.
He lined himself up with you and pushed into your cunt. His head fell back at the feeling of your gummy walls tightening around him, he couldn’t believe this.
He waited a moment for you to adjust to him before he started moving. You held yourself up on your hands but you were mostly sitting in his lap, his hands on your hips as he thrust up into you.
Noises left you, soft moans and sighs. Axl’s arms snaked around your waist until he had his right hand on your left hip and his left hand on your left shoulder, he had you pressed up against his chest. His mouth was right by your ear, you could hear every little sound that left him. His deep grunts and groans falling into your head.
“Fuck, you’re so pretty.” He whispered. “I knew it as soon as I saw you walking around that place... You don’t belong there.” His words had you blushing. Not that he could see... Not that you’d tell him, either...
“I belong here, right? In your arms? On your cock?” You asked, not convinced of this warm persona he had on. He was still a rockstar, you told yourself.
“No.” Again with that serious tone. He brought the hand that was on your shoulder to your chin, turning your head to look at him. “You’re better than that place, and you know it.” His hips stopped for a moment, he wanted those words to really stick with you. “I’m not asking you to love me, I’m just asking you to let me take care of you so you can get out of here.”
You stared into his eyes, they glimmered in the moonlight spilling in through the window. You got off of his lap and turned to face him and sank back down on him. His lips parted in a silent ‘oh’ at the feeling of being inside of you once more.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, holding yourself close to him. Axl’s arms wrapped around your waist, his hands planted firmly on your back. “You’re really beautiful, you know that?” He said, blue eyes sparkling up at you, the smirk he had not long ago traded in for a smile, the corners of his lips curved downward as if this was a new feeling for him.
“You need to stop saying stuff like that.” You muttered with a soft chuckled. You didn’t want him to stop, not in a million year did you want him to stop.
“Why should I when it makes you so flustered?” He rolled his hips, drawing a soft moan from you. “You’re so cute when you’re shy,” you shut your eyes and bit your lip to muffle any sounds that tried to leave you, “when you’re blushing,” again he rolled his hips, “when you try to hide how good I make you feel.” He kissed your lips. You hesitated a moment before reciprocating.
It wasn’t the heated moment full of passion Axl had planned for. No, this was better than that.
He didn’t move any faster than what he was doing, he didn’t go harder either. He was enjoying the warmth that came from you, how you melted into him even after the kiss broke and you were leaning your forehead on his so every soft sound you made fell onto his lips.
“Hah~ fuck, I-I’m gonna cum.” Your voice was airy as you spoke. Axl smiled and brought a hand to your clit, rubbing circles against it with his thumb.
“Fuck- Such a good girl, go on and cum for me, let yourself feel good.” Axl praised. He couldn’t ignore the knot building in his own gut as he continued to rut up into you, all he had to do was ignore it. He couldn’t lose before Steven, he just wouldn’t let himself.
You started bouncing on his cock, doing just as he said and letting yourself feel good. You came on him, shoving your face into the crook of his neck as you did. Your cunt fluttered around Axl and he couldn’t stop himself from cumming into the condom.
You held each other for a long while. You were letting yourself come down from your high while Axl was mentally beating himself up for letting this happen.
After cleaning up a bit you fell asleep together, your head resting on Axl’s chest while he had his arms around you.
The next morning Axl woke up alone. He looked around the hotel suite, hoping to God you were still there, somewhere. All that was left was a note with your name and number on it.

Hi!! Out of curiosity, which MDZS character do u think about the most and why?
The answer is, without a doubt, Wei Wuxian.
Part of what makes WWX special to me is he feels really archetypal and yet the archetype doesn't actually appear in most of the western media with which I'm familiar. The archetype may be super common in eastern media or perhaps, more narrowly, Chinese media, but my point he feels singular to me and therefore interests me, and I'm familiar with mostly western media. The comparisons in this post are all comparisons to western media, since that's what I'm familiar with, and I tried to pick popular examples so that people would understand what I mean.
Wei Wuxian is a protagonist who does bad things. Very bad things. We see that in plenty of western stories, but it's less common in western fantasy. That is, you can read a million stories about professors sleeping with their students and making a very bad muck of their lives; you can watch Breaking Bad and The Sopranos, but more often in western fantasy you're going to have a Good Guy who does good and Bad Guys who do bad.
But, okay. There's certainly a significant portion of western fantasy in which no one is a Good Guy, and everyone is a little corrupt: Song of Ice and Fire, Interview With the Vampire. Wei Wuxian feels very different to me than the protagonists of these media, because Wei Wuxian is trying to be the Good Guy. He's well-intentioned. He is willing to stand against all of society to defy corruption and protect those who are weaker than himself. That kind of protagonist isn't very common in the kinds of "dark" genre fiction that are about the corruption of humanity or the political intrigues of society. If they exist, they're usually martyred and disappear from the narrative because they are too good for this world, too pure.
But the point of WWX is that he is not too good; he is not pure. He is good; he is brave; he is righteous; he stands up for the little guy--but he is also over-confident in his own ability. He overreaches. And people die because of it. Lots of people. And then, after he accidentally murders people due to losing control, he goes mad. The Nightless City massacre occurs not due to an accident but because WWX is careless and angry. He kills a lot more people then.
I will say that western fantasy is full of characters who turn to "the dark side. The threat of "going dark" has become, in fact, an integral part of most portrayals of the hero's journey. But in the media with which I'm familiar, when someone does go dark, they become the villain. They are not allowed to live, or if they live, they must still be vanquished. Star Wars is a quintessential example: Luke Skywalker is tempted by the dark side but resists; he is the hero. Darth Vader is tempted by the dark side and gives in. Even though he turns back at the end, he must still be eliminated.
Of course, there are plenty of villains who reform in such stories and then manage to survive. I think you could say that once resurrected, WWX is reformed in this way. He knows he lost control. He knows he hurt people. He's very sorry about it, and while he still has a drive to put his hand in to help others, I can't imagine him coming to the point where he would lose control again, and I also do not think he has the kind of anger or resentment that would allow him to be so careless and wanton with his cultivation again.
So, in this sense, WWX holds the place of a reformed villain, like Zuko or, say, Angel, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. One thing to note about both of these examples--Zuko is shown to be "on the dark side" because of the family and culture in which he was raised, and also, he was a child. Angel was "on the dark side" because he didn't have a soul. That is, the excuses for why these reformed villains were ever villains at all exonerate them to some extent.
Meanwhile, WWX was a villain because he was full of himself. Like, it's still understandable why WWX was a villain: he sacrificed all the power he had for someone he loved; he still needed power to protect his own life when he was being tortured, and this took him down a dark path; he needed even more power to help the world fight corrupt fascists; he was villainized by society even before he became an actual villain because that society feared and desired his power; he was literally ostracized and rejected by his own family for doing the right thing. But in the end, it wasn't like he had no other choice when he caused the death of JZX. He didn't feel like he had another choice to save the Wens, but if he had not been so over-confident in his ability to control himself, JZX would not have died. And while I find the massacre at Qionqi Pass maybe excusable considering the pressures WWX was under, WWX goes mad after that. Also understandable, but there is no way in which the massacre at Nightless City is excusable. There's just no way to say it wasn't his fault.
Okay, but there are some reformed villains in western fantasy who really were villains because they just made some wrong choices. They were arrogant like WWX, or they were petty and small, or they had a sucky childhood but nothing that should've led them into darkness. These characters do exist, but I find them few and far between (and I will fully admit here that maybe I just haven't read enough western fantasy to come up with enough examples). When they do show up, they are not usually the protagonist (Snape); they more often play side roles.
And the point with these guys is that they did bad things because they were not well-intentioned. Their intentions change, and therefore their moral alignment changes. But WWX was always trying to do good. It's only at the very end that he is no longer trying, and he loses his mind partly because all of his efforts to do good have flown up in his face. I just feel like I never get to see someone who was honestly trying to help people so earnestly, and fucks it up because he was trying to do too much. The closest example is Xie Lian, and I think we can all agree Xie Lian never becomes anything close to a villain.
However, now comes the trait that really does make WWX different from any other protagonists I've ever read, and most I've seen on screen: he is all of the above, a reformed villain who was well-intentioned throughout his descent into villainy, who doesn't brood.
Everyone I mentioned above--Zuko, Angel, Snape--are all very serious people who are consumed by their pasts. If they're not dour or bitter, they're still unable to be light-hearted or carefree. Meanwhile, WWX is the definition of light-hearted and carefree. He has a lot of regrets and some guilt, but he really doesn't dwell on it. Like, he fucked up. He died. How else can he atone? He knows he can't make it up to the people he hurt. Might as well move on and not get in their face about it.
In general, WWX's personality is unusual for the kind of hero he is. While it's true that the wise-cracking, smart-talking hero is a staple of western fantasy (Iron Man, Spider Man), these aren't the kind of heroes who can make the serious mistakes that WWX makes--or, though they do make mistakes that lead to the deaths of countless bystanders, they are never really confronted with the enormity of those crimes. I know that some people will say that WWX is not confronted with them either, that his crimes are not dealt with seriously enough in the text. I admit that I was very surprised that WWX blames the death of JZX on JGY during the final showdown in the temple. In the end, however, I think there are enough questions about whether WWX is actually a Good Guy that the story of MDZS seems quite different than, say, many western superhero stories, in which yes, superheroes do bad things and make mistakes, but are still ultimately our heroes.
But the other thing about WWX's personality that is unique for such a protagonist and also further distances him from heroes like Iron Man is this: WWX is pathetic. He's allowed to be pathetic, on quite a few occasions. He pretends to be a child. He pretends to be a damsel in distress. He purposely harasses and teases others in a way that is actively annoying to them. He's laughable. The closest parallel I can think of to how deeply WWX is willing to abase himself and annoy the fuck out of others in Deadpool, but the thing about Deadpool is that he is ultimately comedic. You know you're going to laugh if you're reading a Deadpool comic or watching one of his movies. Also, while Deadpool is a badass, need I remind you that WWX is the most powerful and the most feared person in the entire world, perhaps in all of history. The fact that WWX is as powerful as he is and still throws himself on people he likes and pretends to weep is only matched by Luo Binghe, but LBH is different in that his willingness to be pathetic is a tactic of manipulation. Meanwhile WWX is pathetic for fun; he likes to annoy people; he's ridiculous; he's laughable.
He's also lovable, but imo, like Deadpool and like LBH, I don't think we're always supposed to find him charming. We're supposed to recognize that these characters sometimes go too far for a joke. We're supposed to be annoyed at times, at least imo.
But in the end, we are supposed to like WWX. We're also supposed to feel really sorry for him and sympathize with him for what he did. He's an enormous woobie, while at the same time he massacred thousands and then laughed it off. Who does that? Who does it like the Yiling Lazou? When you add in the fact that he's super gay, but all his gay fantasies consist of farming and eating Lan Wangji's cooking and talking about fishing and keeping house, I'm just left asking, Wei Wuxian, who the fuck are you? Who the fuck can match you?
This is why I spend so much time thinking about this character. I can't actually wrap my head around him, and frankly, the way MDZS is told doesn't help. MXTX actually does not really get into WWX's head very much once he starts his path of demonic cultivation, and while we get some insights as to what is going on with him through flashback and his dialogue at the time, I am still somewhat in the dark about why he made the choices he did.
The only character I've ever encountered who even comes close to WWX is Spike from BtVS, and WWX is still on another level.
Lastly, I'll say that the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng is another thing I have never witnessed in western media. It is so complex and interesting to me that I could make a whole post on it, which is why even though the answer to your question is by far Wei Wuxian, if WWX didn't exist, Jiang Cheng would win this question by a landslide.

A special invitation for Jason girlies who love to read...
I'm really thrilled to announce I finally got the A03 invitation and started uploading my fanfiction there! I want to invite you to read and leave your opinion please *shaking in nervousism language*
I couldn't help myself and uploaded 7 chapters already. I'm kinda afraid you guys may not like it, LOL, therefore I decided to put some thoughts about the protagonists here and if you do not identify with my way/pov of seeing them I strongly recommend that you don't read the fanfic because you will hate it.
Let's go?!
♏ JASON: I don't think he's THAT bad. I like to think that this "strong" personality of him is just a mask he puts on because he doesn't like/want to show people that, deep down... He's a vulnerable human being.
You know those Pitbull dogs? They're very gentle breed, but because of their size people think they're aggressive! I believe Jason is exactly like that: from afar, it seems like he's going to bite you... But if you just get close tender and gentle and pet his belly, he'll roll over asking for more love. (lmao)
I also like to think that Jason wasn't always so tough like this. In my head, at some point in his life... He was the kid who was bullied — not the one who bullied. So that's why he's like this today, a bit scatterbrained and cruel.
(Bullying victim 🤝🏻 Vowing to do worse to others when grown up)
I believe that CEO Jason is totally different from Family-Son-Brother Jason. (Yes, I think he has a younger brother*¹) We all act differently when we're at work VS with friends VS family, so why not, right?
It'll be so beautiful to see Candy breaking down all the barriers he built around his inner child MUHAHAHAHA this is so cliché, but I love it!
Headcanons facts I keep in my mind for him:
He was bullied throughout his entire pre-adolescence for being skinny, and also for the white streaks of hair on the sides of his head;
The tattoo on his arm is to cover a scar.
He started taking boxing lessons at 17 because he was tired of getting beaten up by classmates who teased him for being skinny.
He knows how to play the piano and appreciates Operas.
He speaks 4 languages.
He holds a degree in finance, with a specialization in public relations, and has an MBA in administration.
He enjoys a bit of BDSM, yes.
¹* the younger brother is the only person who makes Jason be, like, GOOD. Jason acts totally different when he's around his brother... As if he wants to set an example, you know? Now let's move on to...
♓ CANDY : A tender young woman who, after getting into trouble with Ioan, doesn't want anything to do with mixing work and romance anymore. She doesn't want anything to do with spoiled boys anymore and vowed to put them in their place if she ever came across one again. Sometimes she misses having someone to fulfill her desires, but being a one-night stand for someone is out of the question for her.
She hates casual encounters and wants to find someone for a true, deep and lasting connection. She's firm in her principles, but sometimes she doubts what to do. She constantly follows her heart instead of reason, and she knows she has to stop this stupid habit if she doesn't want to get hurt again.
She's kind, charismatic, and has a big sense of humor. She doesn't back down from Jason's provocations and responds to him in "style"! She's convicted
In the game, she's Ysaline, but for this fanfic, I'll use my OC, Candy who is a redhead and white just because yes ;-;
Headcanons about her:
When she was a child, she hated her name and insisted that everyone must call her "Mandy"
She knows how to speak 4 languages, including sign language.
She likes to sing.
She loves to draw.
Her mom has Latin origins.
She went to college when she was only eighteen years old.
She graduated in advertising, completed a postgraduate degree in information management, and later pursued a specialization in crisis management. She has an MBA in digital marketing. The girl LOVES to study and learn new thing lol (Latin families are kind of strict with that)
She is afraid of heights.
Now... Let's go to the context I imagined for the story. That is: some headcanon facts that I wanted to add to their past to make everything make more sense.
• Jason and Candy studied together, but they don't remember. (fact which will be explored around by the Chapter 10+-)
—> Jason used to tease Candy during class: he would take her pencil case and run away... Tie her shoelaces to the chair leg without her noticing... Tangle her hair, etc. (thinking they had a cat-and-mouse dynamic since childhood makes the whole thing funnier, hahaha)
• Their families were close when they were kids, but a tragedy happened and they lost contact.
—> Jason's father and Candy's father were on a small business trip when their car was brutally hit by a truck. Jason was with them, got seriously injured, and his forearm got a terrible scar (hence his tattoo).
—> Candy's father died instantly. Jason's father is in a coma till nowadays.
—> After the accident, Candy's mother (named Edith Beaumont, not Zahra Dolga) moved with her daughters back to their home country, getting closer to her parents again. Only years later did she return to Amoris, but she never bothered to look for the Mendals to reconnect.
• Everything Jason built was thinking of his father. How satisfied he would be when he woke up from the coma and found out that Jason had been successful as he had always planned... (fact will be explored by the Chapter 20+-)
—> After his father fell into a coma, Jason's uncle named Viktor - the vice-president in the time - took over the company leadership, and Jason had been groomed since childhood to work there. Eventually, Viktor's hunger for power got to his head, and he refused to integrate Jason into the board (after he graduated from college) using the excuse of his poor behavior. From then on, Jason was like, "Oh, so they think I'm the villain? Then I'll be the villain! I don't need this selfish family for anything SCREW THEM UP" and left his father's company only to invest in his own dream.
⚠️🚨SMUT WARNING 🚨⚠️
This fanfiction starts with fire already (but if it slow down after that). So, if you are the kind that don't like smut scenes... Well, good luck reading it. I tried to do something easy so everyone with all tastes could read but... Softness is not something I expect from JasonXCandy. So if you do not have experience with sex scenes maybe you'll find it... weird?
I don't know if you'll get it: I had to start right away with the tension between them finally blowing up. After all, isn't that what we want to see? All hell breaking loose? I'm a sassy reader/player. Of course I want CHAOS. There was no other way: whenever I thought about their story, I got bored having to tell everything from the beginning so my mind just said, '"Nah, start narrating 6 months after the start of the game (MCL) and it's all good. Start telling their story by the point they finally can't help and spend a night together*silence* *considering* But what if people don't lik- *sigh* YOU HAVE TO START THE STORY TELLING HOW THEY WOULD IGNITE TOGETHER, JULIANAAAA'"
⚠️🚨 Why did I decided to write? 🚨⚠️ I just finished playing ep. 3 and my mind started wondering that Beemoov would mess things up. I asked myself how I'd like things to happen between my candy and Jason. I didn't get a answer right away, but then the voice of my imagination whispered "So.... WHAT IF there's this crazy night they spend together, but therefore everything starts over slowly because, guess what? Jason doesn't remember a single thing."
And then I went like "YESSS babe give me that cliche, I'm into it!" and decided to create my own narrative following that ideia of "the night which would change everything about them". Based on that premise, I had to juggle a hundred things to make them able to spend time together after that and... Well, I hope you like the plot my crazy mind came up with!
🚨⚠️ Will there be cliches? 🚨⚠️
Sorry but it will.
🚨⚠️How their dynamic is going to happen? 🚨⚠️
A big blow, and then a slow-burn filled with a lot of tension though. * LAUGHS * And finally FIRE again.
The romance plot it is indeed enemies to lovers but I don't want to be that "I can't date Jason because OMG what my boss will think?" thing (._.) Well, Candy might have her insecurities but she's an adult, it is kind of dumb wasting her mind thinking like that. So don't expect you'll find here scenes like "He is our rival, it's sooo wrooong dAtInG HiM, Oooh what others will think? *~Cries in drama language~*"
It makes more sense if she is tempted/divided/doubtful because Jason is a Don Juan and she doesn't want to break her heart again. My Candy in particular doesn't like the thing of being one-night-stand. And thanks to Devon and Roy she thinks Jason is a bad bad and spoiled guy, so that's the reason she despises him and thinks she should stay away from him because he'll do no good to her............................. But in the same time: Jason *knows* how to do so well... And he's pretty. But she swore to reduce him to dust.... Hate was everything she felt since the beginning. She can't date someone she despises so much, can she? That's it: She hates him because of his despicable personality, it has nothing to do about Jason's being the "rival" from Devenementiel.
Now that you've made it this far and didn't give up on me yet, I bet you have everything you need to read this mesmerizing story if you want to. I'm loving writing about these two! The first chapter begins precisely at the event mentioned in the synopsis: they'll be at a masked ball, and from there, everything will unfold! Are you ready?

So I've been rewatching a lot of period dramas lately and this got me thinking, Arthur's clearly from the upper class, but does the book ever actually specify what his title refers to? Viscount, baron, etc...? And Lucy's a socialite and would therefore be some kind of aristocrat, but I don't think the book ever gives specifics on her family background either, but correct me if I'm wrong! And while I'm at it, would the rest of the Crew be considered middle or working class?
Hmm, so I am definitely not one who has the best grasp of all these nuances myself, so I happily welcome any others who know more and want to correct me or add in what they know! That said, here's what I think...
Arthur is repeatedly referred to as 'Lord Godalming', at least once his father dies. That means he is officially a 'peer', a member of the House of Lords. There's several different ranks within this category though, and based on title alone he could be most of them (since most were commonly called 'Lord'). I found a post talking about the peerage for the context of the Sherlock Holmes stories which I think is pretty easy to understand, especially the little table of titles/roles.
Going off that source, it says that "all children of viscounts and barons were called the Honourable;" and when Jonathan is talking to Mitchell, Sons, & Candy the guy says this: "We once carried out a small matter of renting some chambers for him when he was the Honourable Arthur Holmwood." That would suggest that Art is either a viscount or a baron. Of the two I would lean towards viscount, simply because I think he is in the upper half of the hierarchy based on the way side characters tend to react to him. I don't know if there was ever any leeway to call the eldest/only son of an earl by that title, but if so then I kinda want him to be that, purely because it is the British equivalent of a count, and that would be a really neat tie-in to the various ways Arthur is contrasted to Dracula as good/bad nobility. (I could talk more on that but it probably deserves to be a separate post.) Admittedly I don't know enough about the nuance of relationships between different classes to know how high up the ladder he can go before his association with the others here would start raising eyebrows, but I like the idea a lot.
Arthur is the only character other than Dracula to get a (non-academic) title, so I don't think any of the other characters would be part of the peerage. However, I do think Quincey is very rich and probably of somewhat equivalent status for an American. I think Lucy is probably not officially there, because otherwise I feel like either she or Mrs. Westerna would have been addressed as 'lady' at some point, if only by people meeting them for the first time or who don't know them well. However, she's definitely of a social class where he association with Arthur is very acceptable, so she had to have been well-off. I imagine her from a well-established family who might not have a title but is still certainly part of the respectable crowd. Or if she did have a rank it would be lower but not outrageously so.
I think Jack would also be pretty equivalent to Lucy, since she introduces him as "well off, and of good birth" and his close association with both Arthur and Quincey would suggest he is certainly respectable enough to hang out with them/propose to the same woman. Lucy suggesting him as a possible option for Mina to marry if it weren't for Jonathan suggests that Mina might also have a nicer family background (as does, potentially, her friendship with Lucy). But if so, then her current status as orphan who works for a living and expects to have to make ends meet with Jonathan suggests that her family must have fallen on hard times and whatever respectability there was to her name is more lingering compared to the reality of her current situation. That's my best guess, but honestly it's kinda tricky to figure out and other people who know more about the time have been confused too.
I think Jonathan is definitely of the lowest class amongst our main cast. You can see this reflected as well in how they tend to address him more casually ("Harker") while he uses some form of title when speaking to the others ("Dr. Van Helsing, Lord Godalming, Dr. Seward, Mr. Morris"). He doesn't speak of his parents much, but we know he worked for Mr. Hawkins from a fairly young age, and started out as a clerk until recently, which was not a particularly well-paying job. I think he and Mina would be considered on the lower end of middle class - at least before they inherited everything Mr. Hawkins had, which it sounds like is a comfortable existence if not the extravagances that other characters would be more used to. That might bring them up closer to some of the other nontitled people, though not as high.

DL characters from most to least intelligent?
// Oh, this is going to be interesting!
Disclaimer: This top incorporates intelligence as in brain power, perceptiveness and so on. It also has nothing to do with morals or the DL Tokutens, since those are just for fun and not the most accurate version of the characters, therefore it’s based on routes, serious CD dramas and official short stories.
1. Laito
It's no longer a secret that Laito is extremely intelligent to the point of being terrifying. I've already discussed his big brain in this post, but I'll try to summarize it here. This man can read everyone like a book; he can easily absorb and apply any type of information. He's also the only character who can manipulate everyone, including the AB boys, and even Carla was surprised by his intelligence in Dark Fate. I've said it before and I'll say it again: he could twist every DL main cast character around his finger if he wanted to, too bad he’s not good at reading himself.
2. Carla
Literally the Diaboy who would make the best king. Despite the fact that I can't bring myself to ship him with Yui because the couple is far too disturbing, he is a wise and great ruler. We were able to see that best in LE, he's good at plans, logical, and knowledgeable on a variety of topics that can help him get out of uncomfortable situations.
3. Shu
Shu may have many flaws, but he is undeniably intelligent. He appears apathetic, as if he doesn't care about anything, but he knows far more than you'd think. I believe he is the best candidate for king among the Sakamakis because he is open-minded and can reflect on his thought process.
4. Kino
Probably a very unpopular opinion since people don’t really seem to like Kino and yeah, he seems kind of dumb at times, but I'll give him credit for being a really good antagonist. He beat the Tsukinamis on this one; this guy is really good at devising different evil plans in order to sabotage the Diaboys, which I find really interesting.
5. Reiji, Ruki
The boys who like belittling others, despite being more on the booksmart side. They're very knowledgeable for sure, they both have a lot of information in their heads, and they're also more strategic than their brothers. In a nutshell, their intelligence is beneficial. However, because of their overconfidence, they are prone to reacting incorrectly when things do not go their way, which can lead to serious breakdowns.
6. Azusa
Azusa is most likely the character who speaks the least; he is timid and silent, but isn't it true that quiet people have the loudest minds? He pays close attention to everything that goes on around him, and I firmly believe that he is one of the best characters at seeing through people.
7. Kou
Another unpopular opinion since people like to portray Kou as a dumb guy, but that’s not the case. Sure, he doesn’t care about many things and doesn’t always pay attention to what others are saying but that’s because he simply doesn’t want to. I know Kou acts occasionally childish but he has a very mature point of view. Even if his magical eye allows him to read people’s hearts, he must be very cunning to know how to manipulate everyone based on this without coming across as obvious. Additionally, he has an unpredictable nature.
8. Ayato, Yui
Mr. “I’m impulsive and don’t care about others’ opinions” and Little Miss “I act without thinking and have to face consequences afterwards”. Not counting the fact that Yui has more morals and knows more about human stuff (since she’s human after all), they both have the same number of brain cells. Both canonically have little knowledge, they require help most of the time when doing something, and their plans are literally dead ends, BUT I can't deny they're very perceptive at times. I wrote more about Ayato here; he appears ignorant but notices important details and analyzes the behavior of those around him. The same can be said for Yui, who can also be a good observer.
9. Shin
He has more knowledge than Ayato and Yui and was quite clever in Ruki's DF route, but SORRY his LE route made him appear so stupid in my eyes. All of his problems could have been solved if he had tried to use his brain, but he didn't, which is why his route was so frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that every character has dumb moments, some more, others less, but come on... he didn’t try to logically solve his problems and only suddenly had the big realization to do so, which was IN HIS VAMPIRE ENDING. I excuse characters who make mistakes or act on a whim, but Shin crossed the line in LE. I can't imagine a Diaboy in his own route as dense as Shin was there; he kept getting himself into more and more trash, which is a shame because he would have been much higher on this list if they didn’t do him so dirty there.
10. Subaru, Yuma, Kanato
I feel bad for rating them so low because I really like Subaru and Yuma; Kanato is intriguing too, but the problem is that they almost never get the chance to prove themselves. I understand Subaru's situation because he doesn't have any deep bonds with anyone, after all, he's the only Sakamaki without a brother from the same mother, and he's also quite asocial, so it's not like he'd pay attention to anything that's not his business, but I really don't get why the others didn’t get a big chance to use their brains. Yuma is very useful though, but Kanato's case is a whole other story. I can’t deny that he’s actually sly sometimes but he was Laito's closest brother during childhood; why is Ayato the one to best analyze Laito and not him?? Ayato was literally locked away in his room all day, unlike him, who played with Laito on a daily basis… so much lost potential.

Yet another person who uses the words groomer abuser and pedophile in a vacuum without understanding the words for Daemon Targaryen. Daemon did not groom Rhaenyra and he is not a pedophile, either in HOTD or Fire and Blood. On the other hand, the madness of calling the rape of Aegon II in episode 8 a pathetic attempt by the writers to make him bad... uh... this person is aware that Aegon II is really violent in Fire and Blood or not ? What if, Aegon II is an asshole with one narrative goal since he is... well the antagonist ? Welcome to the reality of this story ? Moreover, Aegon, unlike Daemon, actually slept with a woman who according to the laws of Westeros is clearly seen as a child in the book. So thank you for proving that you don't know what you're talking about...
Then I would really love to understand TG's delusion that Rhaenyra doesn't deserve the throne ? In what ? Whether in HOTD or Fire and Blood, she has been prepared to be queen since she was named heir, including joining council meetings. Then she went to Dragonstone, the seat of the heir, to learn how to rule, as any male heir would. In addition, in episode 6 of HOTD we clearly see during the meeting that Rhaenyra is good, unlike Alicent, in politics. Ah but yes, it's true, according to the TG Rhaenyra is not in fact fulfilling her responsibilities as heir by going to Dragonstone... because ??? I don't know. But why expect logic from them ? And from what we know of Fire and Blood Rhaenyra managed Dragonstone perfectly and nothing in the show suggests otherwise ! Should she have found more alloy ? Um... clear my doubts, but doesn't Rhaenyra have more than the majority of the great houses on her side while the Greens barely have 24/25 ? Didn't Rhaenyra betroth her sons and therefore seal alliances unlike the TG ? Rhaenyra sent her sons as a messenger (book and show) so that would also be proof that she doesn't deserve to rule ? In what ? There's nothing strange about what she did. On the contrary, because she placed her sons in the least dangerous position since I remind you that according to the laws of Westeros, messengers must NOT be injured and killed ?! But after all the TG doesn't care about real laws... Rhaenyra, in addition, show or book, did not immediately want to make war with the dragons but through words. It’s bad too I guess because she don't acccept the usurpation by the greens ? Rhaenyra raise taxes ? It wasn't even her idea and what other choice did she have, since the Greens stole all the crown's money ?!
Did she end up not managing her reign well ? Maybe it's simply because she was fighting a war at the same time, had no more money in the crown coffers and her sons were dying one after the other ?! Leading her into a huge depression ?! Since I remind you that Rhaenyra had no problem ruling over basic Dragonstone ! So why would she suddenly have one once she was queen ?! Maybe because of everything I mentioned ?! But no ! Only Helaena has the right to be overcome by grief !
Frankly, you have to stop with this guy's excuses after a while, especially since from the TG's point of view, Rhaenyra, before her depression, is already unworthy of being queen except that as we have seen... there is no reason for that. She was educated and taught to be the future ruler of Westeros and has been designated as such for a long time, so why exactly wouldn't she be worthy of it ? She even ruled Dragonstone very well for years, so again, why wouldn't she be worthy ? She hasn't done anything that would suggest she's be a bad queen, quite the contrary. The excuse of asking for Aemond to be severely interrogated doesn't even count since in the book Alicent first asks for Lucerys to have one eye gouged out, and then Rhaenyra talks about severely interrogating Aemond, but even in the series she says that severely questioned = torture it's pure bad faith. As if Rhaenyra didn't know her father... And then what else ? That she had the sex she wanted ? This is a purely misogynistic argument which has nothing to do with his capacity as sovereign, so fuck them. Note that I didn't even address the case of the Velaryon children, which should be an obligation, since we have known for a long time thanks to GRRM drafts that even if Rhaenyra's children had been born from her marriage, she would also have made herself usurped.
I'm so tired of TG no sense...
Yeah, I've blocked this person for some time because I don't like seeing people using words they don't know the meaning of. It's exactly the same thing over and over again.
Aegon II is a sex offender - that's canon. In F&B it is a fact that he molested maids. In HotD it is a fact that he molested and raped maids. If the rumor about sex with a 12-year-old girl is true, then Aegon may have pedophilic tendencies.
These are the facts. And the rumors? According to speculations, Aemond may be a rapist because he took Alys as a "war prize". If we accept that Rhaenyra wanted to "torture" him in Driftmark, we also assume that Aemond wanted to "rape" Alys. Because we won't recognize the "true meaning" of one word and not another, right? However, the TGs are so desperate to show how evil Daemon is that they recently say that he… slept with his own daughter. Because they take the rumors that Nettles was Daemon's lover and his bastard and combine them into one :D If someone has to make up something like that to make him a perverse sexual torturer, then he has no real arguments.
As for Rhaenyra, it's simple. If you think that Rhaenyra doing exactly what every heir before her has done (and more!) is not enough and should do more… then you are a sexist. Because you think that more should be expected of women in the same position than of men in order to deserve it.

honestly i am not a fan of how this drawing turned out BUT i did invest some time into it so i would be amiss not to post it for posterity if nothing else.
context:
so, i spent a long time ruminating on what to do with the league of assassins in my au. obviously, a lot of the canon material concerning it is staggeringly racist, not to mention just kind of stupid overall, so i knew that i wanted most of it to go out the window off the bat. at the same time there were certain aspects of it that i knew i wanted to retain - the immortality, the lazarus pits, talia's original antihero stuff, damian being a weird little knife child, etc - so eventually i decided that the "league of assassins" as it were doesn't really exist; ra's has simply operated im plain view for long enough that people who were paying enough attention went "hey, what the hell, he has a guy lined up for everything, surely he's running some kind of secret evil shadow organization?" he's not. he's really not. he's just been alive long enough that he has a lot of personal favors owed to him at this point. his actual "organization" is like, at maximum three people who owe him life debts at any given time. he's also not really evil per say. he's just really weird.
what ra's is actually doing (amidst some good old garden variety ecoterrorism - if ivy can do it so can he, and it was a core aspect of his motivation for several decades) is acting upon the pathological obsession he has with the lazarus pits. the lazarus pits in my au are a mix of the birth of the demon and BTAS lore surrounding them: they are natural deposits that must be manually dug out from underground wellsprings to be used, but they are also deeply connected to earthly magnetism and can be located via complex leylines and other ambiguously supernatural means. ra's, from his first discovery of them, has been dedicated to obsessively cataloguing and "deciphering" what he perceives to be the grand mystery of the natural world we live in, and that once he "solves" it, he can show the truth to others and the planet will be transformed into a paradise. (you may note this is not dissimilar to the riddler's pathos concerning patterns - more on that point later probably). this also has ties to his mortal occupation as a physician. he has a strong lingering investment in finding new ways to cure ills, and sees death as the ultimate ill, and therefore he wants to find a way to universally cure death.
now, a lot of this is directly informed by his backstory from birth of the demon, which happens to also contain the sole appearance of the other character in this image, Huwe (we aren't given another name for him to my memory, so i'm forced to assume that's his only one). huwe was an enemy-turned-ally of ra's who eventually became immortal alongside him up until the mid 1800(???)s, where they had a fight that ended in ra's killing huwe by stabbing him with a fire poker. i thought the dynamic between them was really interesting and underutilized in that comic so i decided to bring it back - it goes pretty differently in my au but i have not worked out the specifics to any degree of clarity yet so i will leave that for another post.
there is also more going on with talia and damian in this au, but this is getting long and they aren't even in this post so ill give the cliffnotes version: talia was raised to be more or less a 'warden' of the lazarus pits and she is immortal like ra's, albeit much younger chronologically. she has a vested desire to lead a "normal" life and live and die as a mortal. after having damian, who is ostensibly supposed to be her successor, she sends him away to live with bruce as a form of achieving her dream vicariously through him - as long as he remains mortal and lives as he wishes to, away from the inherited responsibility of the pits, she can bear the weight of it knowing he's out there somewhere. ra's's side of this is a whole other thing about immortal loneliness and his family being the only ones who he can relate to at all after all that he's done and a weird amount of parallels to the joker of all people but this is getting WAY TOO LONG.
TL;DR ra's (long hair) is a strange immortal doctor and the other guy is huwe, his totally-not-gay-and-also-immortal friend.

Alright I have one last request until I'm done for the day😭 alright so for some reason I'm not attracted to Gojo, he's pretty sure, but he's more best friend material for me. So.. I was thinking (Platonic!🤍)Yandere! Gojo vs. (Romantic!💗)yandere! naoya with reader whose like kind of an asshole and like very feminist riot grrrl-y! Thank you for your time!! 💗💗
I'm done for the day I swear😭(i love ur work sm I'm sorry it it feels like I'm overbearing-)
-💗💗 anon
Hmm. Okay, this is interesting, let’s see how it goes. I am overbeared, it’s fine. I’m surprised you like Naoya, he’s a misogynistic asshole
Platonic! Yandere! Gojo Satoru vs Romantic! Yandere! Zen'in Naoya
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This all happened because Zen'in had his eyes on you for a little while, and Gojo was trying to be a good best friend and defend you from picking the wrong husband. Zen'in is not safe in the slightest with his anti-feminist mindset, therefore, Gojo must dispose of him so he is dearest best friend can be safe once again
The intense obsession the two share, based around you, begun when their rivalry started to catch fire. You didn’t want to notice it but with how blaring those two are in fights, it’s like trying to watch a puppy run at oncoming traffic
Gojo firmly believes Zen'in pursuing you is dangerous and could harm you, so he tries to keep you away from him and there is no way to fight back from the ‘honoured one’. Gojo can drag you around all he wants, your protests are barley heard as he thinks of the best way to chase Zen'in away
It’s a fight constantly and you’re getting tired of it as it happens everyday. Gojo intervening when Zen'in tries to hit on you and gets into a massive argument over you. It goes the same way as they both are equally possessive and protective over you and your safety in this cursed spirit-invested world
They are very toxic, for sure, throwing stuff at each other and throwing insults after insults. Gojo doesn’t care about anything he has to but keep you safe from the wrong man of choice. Zen'in would fight Gojo for you and your hand in marriage but he knows he can’t win, so he needs to use more dirty means to win
You’re a tough woman who wants to be independent so you come off as rude and you’re a hardcore feminist. Both the guy trying to pursue you and your best friend idolise these traits about you like you’re some goddess from above and neither could see you as different
Gojo and Zen'in simply adore you, rather it be in different lights or not. Both want you to be apart of their lives and both don’t want to lose you, hence why they fight with each other so vigorously to ensure they can be in your presence undivided and unshackled. They need you at this point, it’s getting worse
Gojo is trapped in the delusion where you’re in danger when he sees how Naoya wants your heart. He may not love you romantically but his possessive nature with you stems around keeping you as his dear friend forever, and he, for sure, won’t let some misogynistic asscrack take you away from him
Zen'in is smart enough to not try properly fight Gojo. Gojo will completely annihilate him so he simply decides to use his manipulative skills to the test and try trick you into avoiding Gojo
Though, Gojo does not like that and will try emotionally manipulate you back into liking him and try talk you out of spending time with Zen'in. It’s a whole lot of back and forward of manipulation on both parties’ ends
It’s a big bloody mess of disaster. One’s who fighting for your love, and one’s who fighting to make sure your heart isn’t broken
You have to pick one of them eventually. Whoever you pick will be the one who has what he wanted from the beginning, though, not siding with Gojo is a huge risk with how powerful he is. His Yandere-shifted mind can make him easily destroy the whole world out of anger and betrayal over you
“Yeah! Yeah! I know, you can do whatever you want but he is not safe, that Zen'in. He hates women! Why would you want him as a husband when he’ll treat you bad! I know I’m not saint of a friend but I won’t treat you so bad! Stay with me! I’ll do the best I can to be a amazing friend for you!”
“Don’t believe, Gojo. My love, I don’t think of you like I think of normal women. You’re special, magnificent, beautiful. You’re a man’s dream and I’d be damned to let you go. I can promise you that a marriage with me is a lot more appealing than a mere friendship with that white haired porcupine”

༘⋆ - WHAT ZODIAC SIGNS ARE THE WEDNESDAY CHARACTERS?
Tumblr media
༘⋆ - TW: none, other than a long astrological essay on wednesday characters…
Tumblr media
༘⋆ - WEDNESDAY: no one in this world could be a better representation of the scorpio sun other than wednesday addams. i am on cloud nine to have it be canon, as her birthday is set to be november 13th in the series. although, i must add that i suspect her being a scorpio rising too, as her love for all things black and gore and her overall appearance is definitely a dead giveaway. the sun and rising conjunction indicates that her public image is a reflection of who she really is - she might have her guards up, but she’s not masking her truest self. in other words, wednesday accurately presents herself to the world. wednesday, as most scorpios, is quick witted yet cold in most situations. she is not easily swept off her feet, but as any other water sign, she’ll be absolutely devoted to you once you earn her trust.
༘⋆ - ENID: our lovely werewolf girl is definitely giving me cancer sun vibes - she might second guess her decisions or be overally clumsy, but you can’t deny that she is the mom friend. enid is a ray of sunshine - she is quite talkative and sociable, and once you two click - she’ll be your bestest bud. she’ll paint your nails, make you snoods to match and banter about the latest nevermore drama. not only that, we have to remember that cancer is ruled by moon - which is something that makes quite a lot of sense and is generally significant to her, considering her outcast species.
༘⋆ - XAVIER: the one and only resident tortured artist is definitely a sagittarius man in my eyes. he seems like quite the jokester and the type of person whose flirting style is roasting & sarcasm. he’s all over the place and quite nosy, giving advices left & right and wanting to be a part of every major event, whether that be you hunting down the hyde by its footprints or visiting the gates’ house. that, however, also indicates the presence of his caring nature, and in some cases, possessiveness. that brings me to the point where i state that he gives me scorpio venus vibes. i mostly see a confirmation of that in his thing for ‘tragic goth girls with funeral parlor fashion sense’. his sag sun also indicates his creativity and love for all things art, since sagittarius, just like the artsy sign pisces, is ruled by jupiter. xavier is very blunt and will not hesitate to call you out on your bs, especially if it involves his ego being hurt (very fire sign man of him). under the facade of the whole ‘life of the party’ persona, there is a darker side to him, which his friend ajax briefly mentions.
༘⋆ - AJAX: when it comes to our stoner boy ajax, there is no doubt that this gorgon guy is a taurus. he is down to earth, laid back and is a person of warm nature. he is basically the epitome of ‘no thoughts, just vibes’. with taurus being ruled by venus, ajax shows up as loving and caring person when it comes to both lovers, friends and family. the stoner boy is a dependable and trustworthy friend, and we certainly see it in course of his conversation with enid, where he reveals xavier’s ‘darker side’ yet still highlights his devotion to the friend. but sadly, as a good old taurus sun, he doesn’t really take hints.
༘⋆ - BIANCA: bianca is unarguably one of the best examples of a female leo sun. this girl is always driven by the exciting feeling of competition and the desire to win, but also has a darker side to her which haunts her on a daily basis. apart from most fire signs, or even leo’s neighboring sign virgo, leos tend to have a lot of insecurities that they compensate for by being arrogant & unapologetically extra. this clearly explains bianca’s behavior, and therefore in my story, she is definitely not the villain. we see that her personality traits were also influenced by her mother’s toxicity, which makes me believe her moon could definitely be in scorpio. her siren powers are both a blessing and a curse - with the help of those, she was able to siren her way into the academy, leaving the toxic environment of ‘morning song’, but when it comes to her platonic or romantic relationships, her powers are often frowned upon.
༘⋆ - TYLER: weirdly enough, when speaking of tyler, i must say that he could be a capricorn sun. moreover, i will have the nerve to say that his sun is definitely in opposition to his moon, thus being in cancer, because it would make perfect sense to me. these two placements indicate his emotional ups and downs and the struggles of his wants and needs. coming from my personal observations, tyler’s mental health state, as well as the neediness and (at some point) fear of abandonment when it comes to romantic relationships, could be easily explained by his sun and moon sign. the teenage boy is always overwhelmed by his thoughts and feelings and is unable to comprehend them. therefore, he is prone to manipulation, and in this case, ms. thornhill’s influence. it is also important to note that such aspect shows a complex relationship with a mother figure, as well as the absence of the father to some extent. that is why i do believe he has this particular astro combination, which gives him a mixture of personalities.
༘⋆ - EUGENE: to end off and complete the holy water sign trinity, it must be said that eugene would probably be a pisces. that kid is absolutely wholesome and has to be protected by all costs, but he completely denies it as he puts his life in danger, striving to accomplish a heroic mission of investigating the hyde’s lair. with his exaggerated sense of a fairy tale romance and never-ending attempts of finding his one true love who would appreciate him for who he is, i suppose his sun sign is conjunct his venus. his genuine friendship with the scorpio sun wednesday could easily explain my choice for his sun sign, as, speaking from experience once again, i am the number one stan of scorpio x pisces friendships.

June of Doom Day 9: “I made a mistake.” | Accident | Acceptance | Blame
OCs: Haley, Ria, Halcyon
CW: aftermaths mostly but also your other local self-doubter
@juneofdoom
Deep down, Haley understood he would never be truly welcome in such a place. On the opposing side of the war, he’d killed the most citizens here, after all, ruined so many families and so many lives. He doesn’t know what made him think whatever repentance he could do was enough.
Blood trickles down his mouth, blending in with the colour of his scarf; he’s about ninety percent sure the crowd broke a rib or two with all their beatings, and that was just the lesser of it. Not that he didn’t deserve it. He accepts it, even. It wasn’t like he even meant to come here anyway, just that the child needed a home and he didn’t want to feel guilty about it all. If he got too hurt to take care of her, he only hoped she could find a better person to stay with.
He doesn’t even see her in the crowd. She must have ran away. At least she wouldn’t get hurt, he thinks to himself. He’d already convinced the crowd she wasn’t associated with him.
The crowd parts with a sudden commotion. He barely has the strength to lift his head, the person who was tugging his hair up now somewhere unknown, but he sees a shade of blue and almost absentmindedly wonders if it’s her. It is, and with her is yet another stranger. Their boss, then? It takes him a few moments for him to recognize her: the captain of the knights, dragging one foot behind. Yet another one who had gotten injured because of his actions. He dealt that blow, after all.
Sometimes, he wishes he could blame another. Blame anyone else for the atrocities he’d committed on that battlefield, blame the man who taught him how to kill so efficiently. He knows the people of this city are at fault too, but they won and it was resolved and Father died and that was that.
Ria, the child treated so unfairly by the world, approaches him. Go away, he longs to say, but his throat suddenly feels dry. How could he ever tell her?
She doesn’t know what he is. She doesn’t know what he could do, even without a weapon. Instead, she takes something out of her small pouch, unwraps it a little and lifts his head to put it in his mouth. It’s sweet and melts on his tongue. She doesn’t know he doesn’t like sweet things, and so she continues doing whatever in the world she wants to him.
“This makes me feel wayyy better, so be thankful I shared it with you…!” Ria sulks a little at his lack of reaction, taking his hand and pulling it as though she could ever lift him up. After it becomes clear that isn’t going to accomplish anything, she sits down by his side and leans against him.
It feels awfully familiar while also not, this sick joke. The weight of her body pushes slightly against the bruise by his chest; he doesn’t have the will in him to push her away. He could bear more hurt than that, anyway. It’s rather peaceful compared to the chaos from a few minutes ago, with most of the people either bowing and running hastily from that knight or waiting in some figurative line to likely complain about his presence.
He suddenly has the urge to at least try and own up. This whole conflict arose because Ria dared to stand up for him, tell the others that he was good. Despite that, what he ends up saying is, “I made a mistake.”
“Of course you have, you always do…Like that time you forgot where we stayed and we were actually at the wrong place!” Firstly, she still doesn’t get it, and secondly, she repeated the same point twice. He suddenly calls to mind how young this child truly is, perhaps born unfortunate like he did.
“…Ria, I hurt people—”
“—And that was an accident! Why would I blame you, mm? Those bad guys already beat you up and you never did and therefore nobody can prove you did anything, easy as that.” She interjects, once again with zero etiquette. He supposes it’s to be expected for a child who lived on the streets for possibly her whole life, and sighs. Somehow, her words get the point across to him; he finds himself speechless.
The knight, now done conversing with others, hobbles over to him with another armor-clad stranger in tow. The stranger reluctantly obliges when she instructs them to hoist him up and walk with her to the nearest medic, even if he reckoned he could probably walk on his own.
The child keeps pace with them, rambling about anything and everything under the sun as if she hadn’t nearly gotten in serious trouble. He hopes she never learns the truth. He hopes everyone currently by his side can live in a world where conflicts are nothing but triviality. For now, he can merely convince himself that one day they will all be alright. One day he will learn to let go. Some other, faraway day.

Theory : Agent 4 In Side Order
Tumblr media
With the announcement of the Splatoon 3 DLC "Side Order", many people in the Splatoon fandom either suspect or internally demand that Agent 4 appears in the upcoming DLC — and for good reasons!
But HOW would Agent 4 fit into the story of the DLC?
What would their role be?
Well, I have an idea!
So get some snacks and a drink people, cause this will definetly take a while!
So that you will not loose the sight of where one point ends and the next one beginns, I will mark the beginning of all the points with heart emojis!
And to top it all off, because I'll be talking about Agent 4's involvement as a whole and not just WHY or HOW they could appear in the DLC, but infact ALL these topics at once, I will also divide the different topics through lines! ( "____" but longer )
Here's a base to get a better idea of what I'm talking about :
Tumblr media
At the very end, I will also add a quick summary of all my conclusions, incase you won'tbe able to follow all the points, loose sight or it is just too many ideas and conclusions at once for you to process! _______________________________________
First, I'll beginn with the reasons why Agent 4 definetly MUST appear in the DLC:
💛 Reason one : They're the ONLY member of the Squidbeak still missing!!! Agent 8 has been confirmed as the Player Character for Side Order and the rest of the Squidbeak — even Octavio — were all in "Return of the Mamalians"! The only one still missing in this game is Agent 4!
💛 While we're at the topic of other characters, every recurring Character that has appeared in the trailers until now first debuted in Splatoon 2, but none of them have made any onscreen appearances in Splatoon 3 yet — in other words, until now they've been Splatoon 2 exclusive characters! Agent 8 and Dedf1sh never appeared in Splatoon 3 up until the trailers came, and Off the Hook's only appearance until now was through artwork and music! Pearl and Marina haven't physically appeared yet, but are all but confirmed to do so in the actual DLC! Infact, Pearl seems to be controlling a little flying drone that seems to be "Side Order"'s counterpart of "Return of the Mamalians"' Lil Buddy! Pretty much the only significant Splatoon 2 character that has yet to appear in Splatoon 3 is Agent 4 — except for commander Tartar, but that guy is dead so he doesn't count!
💛 Also, Agent 4 is actually mentioned in the Official Splatoon 3 World Map!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, it's clear Nintendo has not forgotten about 4, but wouldn't it still be weird to mention them here if they were not important to the game in some way?
Infact, Agent 4 was the ONLY other Agent appart from New Agent 3 that was mentioned on the map and the ONLY ONE who was mentioned DIRECTLY! For New Agent 3, the map just said "You Live here" but for Agent 4 it says "Agent 4's home"
💛 Also, Lil Judd is implied to be the new boss of Grizzro Industries after you complete "Return of the Mamalians" — a plot point which should probably get resolved in the DLC, considering the implications that cloning is involved! And it's confirmed that Agent 4 did or might even still work at Grizzro industries!
☝Keep this point here in mind, cause I'm not done with this yet!☝
💛 Also, if you didn't recognize the location in the first trailer, the Official DLC's Webpage read : "See what has happened to Inkopolis Square from the Splatoon 2 game, and what would've happened if Order thwarted Chaos to rule the city!"So this confirms, that Side Order indeed takes place in Inkopolis Square — the setting of Splatoon 2!
_______________________________________
Now that we got the connections to Agent 4 and reasons they should definetly appear in the DLC out of the way, let's start on my theory what their role might be in the DLC!
🧡 Well, Remember what I said about Lil Judd being implied to be the new boss of Grizzro Industries? Considering the recent theories about the DLC involving Cloning, it's very likely that Lil Judd is involved in the DLC, Considering he is a clone on Judd! But what does that have to do with Agent 4's role in the story?
......Remember what I said about Agent 4 and Grizzro industries?
Well, I purposefully said that they might still be working there!
Am I saying that Agent 4 is a villain in "Side Order"?
I sure am!
I know what you're thinking now...... "But why would they be evil?"
To better understand that, I first wanna adress another theory I have on the DLC:
_______________________________________
🧡 Because I am very much convinced that the Final Splatfest is directly involved in the DLC!
Tumblr media
Because..... how else could you interpret the title? Even if the central theme truly is order, the DLC is not just called "Order"! It's called "Side Order"! And there are always more than one sides — mostly opposing sides! And what were the two opposing sides in the final Splatfest of Splatoon 2? Team Chaos vs Team Order!
Which means to me that, whoever is pulling the strings — be it Agent 4 or someone else — is on the SIDE of ORDER!
The title is suppose to tell us that the Final Splatfest is the conflict of the DLC! The antagonist is upset over what has happened to the world after Team Chaos won! So now, their goal is to create a new World ORDER!
Infact, maybe the final boss fight — or at least some level in the DLC — will be based after a Splatfest battle! Like a Tri-color turf war! I mean..... in Octo Expansion we had multiple levels with Rank battles and the Final Boss fight was based after Turf War!
All that we're missing here would be a Splatfest battle! If the main conflict really is the "Chaos Vs Order" Splatfest, then one of the best ideas for the final battle would be a repeat of said Splatfest!
_______________________________________🖤 This theory might also provide an explanation for why Agent 8 wakes up in the bleached Inkopolis Square and Marina also appeanantly vanished!
Eight and Marina were both on Team Order! Wouldn't it make sense wanting the help of other Team Order members for this plan?
To get them on your....side?
But of course, 8 and Marina refused, so the antagonist resorts to kidnapping (at least in the case of Marina)!
_______________________________________
🖤 But that still doesn't explain why Agent 4 would be an antagonist right....?
Why would they Support Order?
Weren't they on Team Chaos for the Final fest?
Yes!
Yes, Agent 4 Indeed was on Team Chaos for the final fest!
WAS!
Take a look back at the post from the DLC's Webpage : "What would've happened if Order thwarted Chaos to rule the city?"
Many people interpreted this part like that Side Order is actually a "What If?" Alternate Universe!
However, I don't think that is the case.....
Do you honestly think we'd get a plain, over-perfectionized and colorless town as the main aesthetic for a game like Splatoon?
Instead, I believe the "What would've happened if....?" ect. part is from the perspective of a character!
You know what I think could be Agent 4's reason for suddenly being on Team Order?
Infact, what might be a central theme in the DLC as a whole?
Regret!
Have any of you guys ever felt doubts about your Splatfest choice? Maybe even regretted them?
Maybe even regretted picking Chaos instead of Order? Because the end result was NOT what you expected?
Well I have! And it lead me to think, if maybe other players felt the same way..... and if they did, wouldn't it be interesting to discuss this topic in the actual game? Considering the Final Fest always has such a HUGE impact on the next game in the series, it might feel natural to wonder if maybe the opposite team should've won! Because maybe the result is different from what you expected?
And you beginn to wonder "What if I picked the other team?" "What if the other team won?"
🖤 Imagine following scenario: Agent 4 was on Team Chaos for the final Splatfest and team Chaos indeed won!
At first, they were happy, just like everyone else......But then, things started to change — like Pearl and Marina said the splatfest result changed the world.... but it didn't change in the way that Agent 4 had hoped! Perhaps the changes that followed after the events of the Chaos vs Order Splatfest were different than what 4 had imagined!
.....Or perhaps Marina was right to fear what might happen if Team Chaos won,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
....only wrong about who it applied to!
What if the Splatfest somehow caused some dissonance in the Squidbeak for some reason? And Agent 4 was somehow involved!
What if the other Agents left to go to Splatsville/Alterna and Agent 4 was left behind?
It would add up with the fandom's opinion that the character of Agent 4 is just being forgotten! Because I often see the fandom portray Agent 4 as being left behind by the rest of the Squidbeak!
And just like with the Splatfest Teams, acknowledgement of the fandom in such a way would be an interesting concept to touch uppon, because the fandom would relate to it!
And IF the final Splatfest really is a central conflict in the DLC, then the idea of regretting your team decision would be a very interesting thing to discuss!
Regardless of how it might've happened, the idea is that, after some time, Agent 4 started wondering
"What if I had fought on team order?"
"What if team Order won?"
🖤 Another thing that tipped me off about the concept of regret is the appearance of Dedf1sh — or "Acht" as she called herself in the DLC trailer!
Acht is an Octoling who willingly got sanitized due to "doubts and conflicts about production"!
Also track #8 in her list of songs in called "Regret", possibly showing that she regrets letting herself get sanitized!
There it is again! Doubts and regreting your choices!
And we all know that 8 is a very Important number in regards to the octarians! To hammer this point home, even Dedf1sh's nickname "Acht" is the german word for "Eight"! So, the fact that her 8# track song is called "Regret" feels to me like it is important.
_______________________________________
🖤 Also, side note : It wouldn't be the first time a member of the Squidbeak Splatoon became antagonistic! We saw it in Splatoon 2, with Callie and the Original Agent 3/Cap'n!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And considering the repeaded use of the number 3 in this game...... It seems like a golden opportunity (and a good excuse :3) for the devs to pull that trope a third time!
They already did it with the "Great Zapfish gets stolen" plot!
And considering the rest of the Squidbeak is busy in Alterna, Agent 4 is pretty much the only option available! _______________________________________
🖤 But even IF they want to reverse the events of the Final fest, WHY would 4 go so far? They are a hero, are they not? What happened to them that would cause them to do.....all this?!
Well, I suspect that, IF Agent 4 really is a villain or even THE villain of the DLC, they will not be in their right state of mind!
And no, I don't mean mind controlled and puppeteered by somebody else like Callie in the Splatoon 2 Hero Mode or the Cap'n/Original Agent 3 in Octo Expansion!
Like I said, the developers have the opportunity and the excuse to pull the "Member of the Squidbeak turns evil" trope a third time, but that doesn't mean they couldn't add a little twist to it, to keep it interesting!
You see, throughout both Trailers, there is a repeaded use of imagery that is reminicent of actually organic bodies, like the veins and corals that are oddly reminicent of veins!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also look at this picture right there and tell me it doesn't look reminicent of a brain to you!
Tumblr media
While mechanical and robotic stuff is definetly present in the trailers too, so is organic stuff!
However, the hints of natural organic things are much more suddle! It kinda feels to me like there is something intentionally being kept secret in relation to it!
Like for example....maybe the root of everything bad happening in the DLC is more of a root than we might think!
Maybe the origins of everything behind the events of Side Order is not some AI or a scientific experiment, but it's actually something natural!
Something that wasn't directly created by human hand or tentacles, but by (what remains of) the planet itself!
Remember this part from "Return of the Mamalians"' Alterna Logs: "Spurred by these impulses-and whatever else may have been floating in the polluted waters-the sea creatures began to evolve rapidly."
The important part being "Whatever else may have been floating in the polluted waters"! Implying that something other than the crystals infused with humanities desires have been responsible for the evolution of marine life!
What results would we get from the crystals mixing with different things?
For example, Mr Grizz combined some of those crystals with his own furr to create the fuzzy ooze! Although the golden fisheggs were also involved, the game even calls out that it is unknown HOW the fisheggs were used in the creation of the fuzzy ooze!
And it's said that if an Inkling or Octoling comes into contact with fuzzy Ooze, they lose their sense of self!
Loosing their sense of self..... Sound like a good trigger for someone to turn evil?
And if it were either the crystals or the golden fisheggs that are responsible for the "Loosing their sense of self" part...... Well, as an employee of Grizzro's, Agent 4 would have access to Golden Fish Eggs!
And like I said, the ocean is full of those crystals' pieces!
After all, who ever said that the effects those crystals are ALL good?
🖤 Remember, these crystals were infused with Humanity's thoughts and desires! And I doubt that the remaining humans in Alterna have been thinking happy thoughts 24/7!
Because 1 : It was basically the end of the world and their kind was going extinct!
And 2 : They're humans! It's as easy as that! There must've been some hateful thoughts at some point!
And when Alterna collabsed, causing the crystals and thereby also humanity's thoughts to seep into the ocean, nature saw what it would do with it!
Because remember: Those crystals originated from the bodily fluids of squid! The origins if the crystals lied in nature!
The positive feelings contained within the crystals allowed marine life to evolve and become the new dominant species, but what about the negative feelings? Cause I'll be damned if the remaining humans didn't have any bad thoughts or feelings! Especially considering it was the end of the world at that time!!
What if nature did something else with those negative feelings?
And if it did, what would happen if a living organism came in contact with them.....?
What influence could it have on them?
This would be far from the first time nature somehow influences the minds of living creatures!
The two most intense examples I know being Rabies and (Say it with me "The Last of Us"—fans!) Cordyceps!
My point here? If 4 goes rogue, it's possible that the cause of it is not mind control but more related to nature! _______________________________________
🤍 To sum everything up once more :
Agent 4 definetly 10000% MUST appear in the DLC!
The main conflict is not just the concept of "Order", but specifically the Chaos vs Order Splatfest!
After the final fest, for multiple possible reasons, Agent 4 ended up regretting being on Team Chaos for the final Splatfest and wanting to reverse everything! Maybe even start a second "Chaos Vs Order" splatfest!
And they wanted fellow Team Order members Agent 8 and Marina on their Side Order, but that didn't go so smoothly!
However, some outside force might be responsible for them taking it to dangerous extremes!
Though it doesn't necessarily have to be the work of another villain, but maybe, for example, coming in contact with Alterna crystals that absorbed humanity's negative feelings or whatever nature did with said crystals!

Hiii guys, after my last .. uh theory thingy I'm back to ramble more. (About mostly Morty Prime this time). Because I'm very normal about R&M I promise. :D
Tumblr media
Anyways! (Major spoilers for season 7 ahead!!!)
I've been thinking about season 7 again, as well as the earlier seasons, and I've got a few ideas/possibilities/plot bunnies of what the writers of Rick and Morty might do for Morty.
The thing is, season 7 had somewhat really juggled Morty's character back and forth between its development and regression for Unmortricken, giving more light to the rest of the Smith family and Rick. I don't mean to phrase this negatively, but compared to earlier seasons, Morty seems to more of just being there, not taking into mind the episodes w Rick Prime and episode 10 of the latest season.
And this brings me to my point: What will they do with Morty's character and development now?
Let's take all things into consideration:
Rick Prime is gone/dead (hopefully permamently but it could be an interesting throwback)
Rick C-137 can be now actively allowed to heal
There is nothing (particularly) endangering their whole family
Evil Morty returned to his paradise island and there doesn't seem to be a strong/certain reason for him to return to the Central Curve
So the new arc, by technicality, should consist of Morty's and Rick's healing, right? Right???
That's what I thought of at first, but there's a good chance it's not as clear as it may appear.
For example, let's talk about the last episode of season 7. Throughout all of it we have the dissection of Rick's and Morty's fears, even as far as having an accurate Diane in it. It portrays how many fears and worries Morty Prime has accumulated through the seasons, including, of course, not being accepted, his fear of being replaced (THANKS RICK <3🙄) and many more. My point here is, that his trauma runs deep, it's hard-rooted into his character and almost unmovable. The most fucked up thing about it in the ep, is that Morty receiveing positive attention from Rick, is what made him realize that he's the only one in the hole. Because he doesn't believe Rick would consciously describe him as an irreplacable person in his life.
Which brings me to one of my key-thought-out-problems. Can Morty Prime even heal properly, at least around his family?
Chances are: it might be a HUGE FUCKING ISSUE.
(To be fair here, I'm not an entirely objective theorizer, even though I'm trying to stay as neutral as I can, please take my ideas with a grain of salt.)
Morty Prime actively thinks that all healthy affection he receives from Rick isn't actually received from Rick (most likely paranoia from the Rickbot arc) or that he's in a scenario in which his family isn't real. His counsciousness has already started to agree and intertwine into his approach all of the things and actions that have previously hurt the teen. (For example, if his family lashes out at him, he's being ridiculed or hurt by them to some degree, then it must mean they're real. It is an objective truth.) And it makes me think that Morty may need to be away from his family to be able to acknowledge each of his traumatic experiences in order to attempt moving on from them.
I think that Morty in order to heal, will have to learn that he doesn't have to focus on others all the time and can learn how to depend on himself, because he lacks trust even in his own thoughts. And so far, Morty has barely digested his trauma, more of "shelving" it away for later or having occasional meltdowns once he's under too much pressure. He always seems to be stuck in survival mode in some way, meaning that his brain prioritizes keeping him alive, rather then caring for the damage.
So by those thoughts, it is a possibility that Rick's healing and Morty's healing, cannot partake side by side, and therefore may result in Morty leaving his family to achieve healthy progress.
Either way, this is all just speculating and my ideas, but I hope it helped some people in their own theories. (My inbox is VERY open to rambling about R&M in ANY WAY.)
(Side idea for my enjoyment: Morty leaving his family can play into the theory that Morty Prime may actively search out Evil Morty to understand how he can achieve a process and goal in which he doesn't "cling" to his family and Rick.)

[Headcanon] Orson Krennic Past life ~
I've always felt frustrated that we don't know much about Krennic's past. So, as always, I felt compelled to think about it.
This is my point on view only, i'm so sorry. [Thats inclued Galen Erso's friendship]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌔He did not come from a dysfunctional family. He grew up in a loving home where the constant anxiety of surviving hovered over their heads. He no longer counts the number of times he caught his parents calculating on the credits how they were going to make it through the month by hugging each other.
🌔I think Lexrul is an extremely poor planet where survival is difficult. Therefore, I am convinced that Krennic experienced extreme poverty. Although his parents both worked, their salaries were probably not enough to support them. He knows what it means to be hungry, deprived, sleepy and cold. I'm even sure he ended up on the street.
🌔It was in these extremely urgent situations that Krennic understood that he should not expect anything from others. That the problem with being on the wrong side of the line is that everyone around them is too and has a good excuse not to reach out to help them out. He comes to the conclusion that to succeed in life, he must first think about himself, his interests and no longer rely on anyone.
🌔He was always very smart and his parents quickly realized it. Living in such conditions pushes us to adapt quickly and well. They placed all their hopes in him when they sent him to take the entrance exams for Republic Futur Program. It was with this immense pressure on his shoulders and the deep conviction of being better than everyone that he grew up. Perhaps it was when he no longer believed in anything, when he and his family found themselves on the streets again, that he learned that he was accepted. It must have been a consecration that he perceived as a sign of destiny.
🌔Although he keeps in mind all the sacrifices his family made to get to this point. Krennic realizes that his life is light years away from that of adolescents his age and falls into all excesses. Money? Not a problem ! He is intelligent and cunning enough to blend in and manage to make enough friends to not worry about what he consumes. Its natural charm does the rest.
🌔The unlikely friendship he forms with the young Galen Erso is what is most authentic in his life. He won't admit it, but the way others taunted the math genius made him come to his defense. Galen will never know that if no one bothers him since he met Krennic it is because the latter obtained peace by beating a leader of the program in a clandestine betting game in a bar in Brentaal IV. (And maybe also by giving a few well-placed blows.)
🌔Everyone tries to see the best in the other. The complementarity of their relationship makes them a formidable duo. Galen often lectures Krennic on the way he acts and tries to restrain him when he is too impulsive. He teaches him to use his intelligence and his ability to bind people together while Orson teaches him how he must understand the world in which he lives and to sort out his parasitic thoughts.
🌔Galen's naivety and sensitivity touch him in a certain way. Sometimes he wants to preserve them, telling himself that he never had the chance to be able to do so in his life. Like a window open to a world that he will never know but that he can contemplate discreetly.
🌔Many people on the show wonder how a guy as quiet and shy as Galen Erso could be around the rambunctious and insufferable Orson Krennic. Galen, above all, thinks that no one sees what lies behind the ice cap that Krennic has erected around him and feels honored to be the only one to have a glimpse of it.
🌔Besides, he has already caught Krennic doing a good deed. Several times. It’s like a carefully kept secret that seals their deep friendship.
🌔Galen understands that Krennic is bluffing about his life and tries to help him discreetly. Not out of pity. But he believes that Krennic has proven enough to him that he has a good heart to strive to make his life better.
🌔From the moment he left the program to move up the ranks, he made sure his family didn't want for anything. He never mentions it, but his parents have had a solid roof over their heads since the day money stopped being an issue for Orson.
🌔He, more than any officer/employee of the Republic, is aware of how lucky he is to be where he is. He will not give up his place to anyone and will do everything possible to be worthy of this destiny that awaits him.
🌔Krennic wants to be first everywhere. All the time. He doesn't just want to be a part of things, he wants to be the best at everything he does. He probably only lives through the eyes of those who can bring him this prestige. He constantly needs reassurance about his performance because he is such a perfectionist that nothing ever satisfies him. I think that when you have fallen too far down the social ladder (and this is his case), the need to climb back up is no longer enough. You have to constantly be on top of the world and observe the universe from afar to feel safe.
🌔As a boss, Krennic is as much feared as he is appreciated. I am convinced (from my reading of Betrayal and the way Ronan describes it) that Krennic can be kind, fair and correct with his employees. He probably does it to put himself forward and obtain praise or for his performance. But whatever, the result is there.

shame, devotion, and venxiao
it is not a sin to want.
yet somehow, there is such shame to it.
maybe it's just me, but "desire" is such a loaded word. i think that's why i find it so difficult to deal with. to want something so earnestly, from so deep within one's heart… how is that not simply THE most mortifying thing on the planet?
it's kind of funny. xiaoven— though most particularly xiao— must come to terms with their selfish desires that are not going to go away n be vulnerable w/each other abt their ugliest selves in order to be accepted n truly loved, at which point shame loses its incredible power over them, and they can be together forever in love for realsies.
because it's easy to imagine a xiao, who, out of love and devotion towards venti, his savior and the god of freedom, might feel like he can only express the sheer depth of his emotions by tugging down the stiff collar of his shirt to bare his own neck for execution.
(that is how one feels towards a god, is it not? this sort of vulnerability, a willingness to die for them, born from a desire to be good.)
and i use the imagery of undressing and invoke the sense of waiting for someone else's actions upon you intentionally here. it ties xiao's sense of intimacy up with power over his life, and as a being who struggles to separate his very sense of self from violence itself, i think it would make sense that death and intimacy are linked to him.
i think a big reason why he's so reluctant to give up his duty to someday die quelling demons for the peace and prosperity of liyue is because he's afraid that wanting something, anything might break the centuries of rigid discipline that's kept him alive after all this time. to love something, to want something, is to then die for it.
and like. i think it's pretty obvious that venti would not want to hold that power over xiao, if xiao tried to express his love by essentially giving over his entire life into venti's hands. it's so lacking in boundaries on xiao's end that even if that's what xiao himself wants, it would ultimately be the most horrifying (yet still earnest!!!) show of devotion to venti.
and so. it's probably fairly obvious from all this that this push-n-pull of desires is part of what makes xiao n venti's relationship so compelling to me personally. they're arguing abt things that are so deeply a part of them: xiao's self-destructive obedience vs. venti's bleeding heart and ideal of freedom. it's kind of... dare i say... yaoi.
obviously, in the context of fandom, there is a difference btwn xiaoven and venxiao. like, technically it's about top and bottom discourse, but outside of nsfw contexts, it's more about power dynamics, about who follows and who leads in a relationship.
i tend not to care too much, since i get weirded out if it feels too… overt? controlling? one-sided? n it starts feeling like the characters are just becoming bastardized "Any Two Guys."
but, like, as may be obvious by the common ship name being xiaoven, fandoms typically have a preference. it makes sense— xiao is v physically strong, n he has this very curt, no-nonsense, straightforward way of doing things, while venti is usually mistaken for a girl by people new to genshin. in concept, it could be fun to see xiao lead a more uncertain venti around n be the more decisive, aggressive pursuer of the relationship.
HOWEVER. relationships are based in feelings n are therefore much more human things. that is definitely not smth xiao is familiar with or experienced in at all. that is venti's area of expertise.
n xiao is a character i like to characterize by his devotion n his obedience. he's not the type to come up w/a procedure for acting in situations where he is totally unfamiliar w/what's happening bc his procedure will probably be aggressive "hit it 'till it dies." in situations involving others, he can't do that, so he's left pretty helpless in situations all about ~feelings~ and stuff.
now, venti is the more human one, in the sense that he has a much greater understanding of how we chase our whims on the breeze. he knows how to navigate these kinds of emotional, dare i say intimate, situations— which is why xiao would look to him for guidance in navigating these things. he wants to be told what to do bc he is a weapon, a violent tool w/no agency of his own (or at least as he likes to think).
xiao's repression is very internalized. he knows he is someday doomed, so why bother letting himself want anything. (why dare to hope when he doesn't believe himself worthy of venti's love in return?)
despite the horrifying levels of devotion i believe xiao to be capable of, i also firmly believe that he can later learn to rein in the self-destructive aspects of it w/o diminishing the value of those feelings. there's something oh-so lovely about self-love taught through loving others and others loving you, about watching something self-destructive and dangerous fall victim in love to something that can withstand its horrors and love it anyway, love it enough to make destroying itself no longer feel worth it.
after all, one of the most romantic answers one could give to the old, "i would die for you" absolutely has to be, "we are going to make it out of this together."
and in my opinion, that's pretty venxiao.

ZHAOYI IS CANON TO ME <333
— ✍️, 🤪, 🌦️, ☕️ , 🪐, 🎞️
DKJFSHK AWW :DD <33 ALÉXIOS IS VV CANON TO ME AND I CURRENTLY HAVE 'EM E6 TRUST LIKE THAT'S MY MAIN WDYM???? WHO EVEN IS BLADE !!
✍️: overall, how does the fandom trait you? are you a beloved character, or hated? are you popular, or a minor side character? anything in between?
both fandoms would be split pretty evenly!! some can only see me as one or the other, while a majority understand the complexities of my character! i don't think i'd be hated per say. there will always be those few that say im overrated / trash or wtvr and that's ok! i think i'd be maybe just above average likability hah!
genshin wise, im a side character for both versions! in hsr, i play a little bit of a bigger part in the pencaony arc for both sunhao and gallahao. for zhade, i think id be popular among the angst lovers for the most part hah!
🤪: what is your trait that fanon would exaggerate?
genshin fandom: they'd probably boil me down to my "tsundere" look to the point where i start looking genuinely mean in the eyes of new fans. media literacy becomes dead when it comes to my character <//33 my unwillingness to help heizou despite the subtext between the lines... the occasional light-hearted insults i'd throw ayato's way... or the unsureness of how to express gratitude toward's thoma's actions... guys it's so bad
or making my past the defining factor of my character!! saying that change isn't possible for a long-term thief or merc (though the latter would be argued with dehya's release)
star rail fandom: ooh ok so the ones people would make depend on which universe we're talking about !
zhade — mean doctor who's hogging people's husband TwT LMFAO no bc. i just think "those" types of fans would probably see me as such for sure. blade and i have a very strange relationship to people on the outside; it makes sense for people to think im being excessively blunt.
the other side to this is that they infantilize me. like like those "uwahhhh he's so smol 🥺🥺 must protect" kind of scenarios but isn't just for jokes and is fully serious... 'n when it comes to shipping... it's usually based off a gay stereotype for that reason TwT
gallahao — that gallagher genuinely finds me annoying, and therefore the fandom does too. g!zhao is more sly, teasing, & definitely more outgoing than the other two vers. id get sampo treatment to a degree where people find my fakeness to get what i want annoying (for the plot!!)
sunhao — stoic to the point where i don't—can't—even talk apparently LMFAO. would also probably turn me into a soft boy kfdjghkl.
🌦️: would you be accompanied by mostly fluff or angst fanfics? both? explain why.
hmm a healthy dose of both. genshin would probably have more fluff for sure—most of the angst would be hurt/comfort stuff based on the whole thomayato kidnapping plot. but my genshin s/i's aren't as sad as my hsr ones LMFAO.
hsr... is a toss up. gallahao would have the most fluff, while zhade would have the most angst. sunhao would be a good mix. ooh in general, there would be a bunch of sweet platonic found family stuff too !! angst for zhade for the sole reason of ppl playing around with how we both get possessed often lol. him the mara, me my own powers... also the whole. scared to get close in fear of hurting the other plot ive got going on for my character story!
gallahao would be treated as the sweet side couple. some occasional angst here and there of a case gone wrong, but a majority of it is just flirting and how people image we got together.
sunhao <33 hurt/comfort is the most common. the whole bodyguard x his assignment + childhood friends to lovers?? people go ballistic. lots of sweet moments, and also ofc ones where one of us has to be bleeding out 💀
☕️: what are the most common plots of shipping fics between you and your f/o?
thomayahao — always something to do with miscommunication of some sort.
yizou — they don’t tend to stray away from the whole thief x detective thing much; usually the setting is different (modern aus, cyberpunk, etc.)
kazuscarahao — amnesia. which is admittedly my least favourite trope. usually more canon compliant with things and the whole sumeru plot
sunhao — anything to do with the whole “protector x protected” trope!! doesn’t matter the au, that usually ends up being the plot.
zhade — one of us is injured or possessed and the other is trying to save or disarm the former without killing them. all. the. time. most of the fandom fixate on this point.
🪐: what would be your most popular au and why?
hmm i think modern aus in general would be a fan favourite. they’re versatile and have many sub-aus to fit with them!! those or royalty aus where many make me out to be the knight :DD
🎞️: what ‘canon’ scenes would the fandom point to as evidence for the validity of your ship?
i don’t remember a lot about genshin stuff so i’ll do my hsr ships for now TwT
zhade — hmm i don’t know about actual scenes, but our voice lines are what people point to!! at first glance, it looks like we don’t enjoy each other’s presence. he’s annoyed with my meddling and heals, while i grumble about him always getting excessively hurt. but when you take in the actual voice acting, people realize our words aren’t as sharp!!
there’s also ig a scene after the xianzhou arc. after karka and blade make their escape, at the very end of the last act, there’s a dark screen where it’s just the tow of us having a hushed conversation. it’s just me asking him about the mission and also tending to his injuries while he says my actions aren’t need.
sunhao — literally every scene LMFAO we’re almost always together and he always glances back in my direction throughout the story. ooh also the scene where him and robin are falling through the air… i’m standing on the platform looking at him worriedly, looking as if i’m about to jump to make it to him, before my eyes soften as robin cradles him. obv most people argue that i’m just in awe at the sibling bonds heh but why can’t it be both??

I loved the series!
I devoured it in one sitting and, although I had small problems with certain points which I will return to below, I really liked it. My favorite episodes are those at Buggy's Circus and in Baratie. Plus, when I heard the One Piece theme music, I was in heaven!
The critiques and comments I make are purely personal and will just be nuances to add to a work that I greatly appreciate. I couldn't wait to see the live action and I was definitely not disappointed! Being French gave me a little extra laughter.
I would like to have your opinion on two points if possible (the last two of "NEGATIVE POINTS").

I loved the acting of each of the members of the Straw Hat crew because they represented for me the image that I had of them, whether in their ways of speaking, acting or behaving. I also liked the fact that Usopp's "lying coward" side was less emphasized compared to what I remembered from the manga in favor of giving him a more "goofi" attitude. I suddenly found him more appreciable than in the manga since I remember taking a lot more time to appreciate him there. Also Sanji, the fact that he wasn't so "Nami-swaaaaaaaaaaaaan" while still being flirtatious is something I was grateful for. I was a little afraid that his slave for women behavior would make him more annoying in live action than in manga or anime.
𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏𝐒
After a while, the family side of the Straw Hat Pirates was so good especially in the scenes when they teased Nami - excuse me, madame - like little brothers after she was hit on by Sanji or the look between her and Luffy when Maya announces that she is offering them the Going Merry and, therefore, that Luffy has won his bet against Nami. I laughed at the "discussion" between Zoro and Luffy in the fog after they escaped Syrup Island. It reminded me a lot of Manny and Diego's "guy talk" in Ice Age! The relationship between Zoro and Sanji is also nice with Zoro insisting on Sanji's waiter job as well as their bickering during the battle at Arlong Park. P.S.: Did I have a few tears in the corners of my eyes during Sanji's departure from the Baratie? ... Maybe.
𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐒
The decorations were really impressive with the boats which were magnificent, even with their peeling paint, as well as their designs. Whether it was the ships of Alvida, Garp, the Going Merry or the Baratie (I WANT to eat there at least once in my life, please!), it was incredible. The other settings were also very beautiful (the town of Shells Town, Buggy's circus or Syrup Island with Maya's mansion) and even the very artificial side of Arlong Park worked well since it is basically a manufactured water park made by humans. The only setting that I'm less of a fan of is the courtyard of the Shells Town barracks which I find too "flat" and too overexposed in terms of lighting.
𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆
The fight scenes were awesome for me! Whether it was the boarding at the beginning or all the combat scenes afterwards, I found that they were very well choreographed and that we kept the manga vibe with the aerobatics at the slightest impact, like the pirates that Mihawk cuts who fly into the air. The devil's fruit powers were also well done in my eyes. Whether it was Gomu Gomu no Mi or Bara Bara no Mi, I found that the attacks were not too unrealistic and did not contrast with the realistic universe that the directors seem to have wanted to give to the live action. Finally, the camera work was nice, especially with the effort they put in. At the beginning, I had a little difficulty with the cuts every two seconds with very close-ups on the faces but I understood that it must be to flesh out the manga side and resume a sort of layout of the frame with boxes characteristics of this genre of literature (as with the segmentation of the image during the announcement that Garp is Luffy's grandfather). Then I ended up getting used to it after a few episodes! Plus, there was a sort of traveling in Maya's mansion when they passed from the entrance to the dining room, which I found rather nice to see them try things. Fortunately, they didn't keep the sort of artistic blurs from the first episodes (during the execution of Gol D. Roger or when Zoro speaks with Mr. 7) because I really didn't like those. The shot we saw in the trailer with Kuro's claws extending behind Merry in the cellar was also very beautiful!
𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐒
They really looked like normal clothing for the most part (there will be some examples in the negatives points) and it was nice that they didn't seem crafty. Even the Marine uniforms had quite a bit of detail while remaining realistic. There are certain wigs that look better than others (Helmeppo's wig!!!) but they are still very good. Merry is also very cute for a man with curls stuck on him, just like Kobby who is so cute with his faded pink hair and his little glasses.
𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐎
I appreciate that they "mixed" the different adventures of the East Blue Arc a little since it allows us to move forward quite quickly in the stories and avoids the aspect of they arrive somewhere, there is an enemy, they defeat the enemy, they leave, they arrive somewhere, etc. Plus, we already have mentions of Barrock Work, Skypiea and Loguetown (with Smoker) so that’s always nice. I don't remember if the scene was present in the manga but I liked seeing the panic and lack of coordination of the crew during their first attack by the Marine. In addition to Luffy's problems finding his place as Captain, I thought it fleshed out the series well!

𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒
I didn't like the casting at all as well as the scenes with Shanks and his crew. I had the impression while reading the manga that they were a bit the equivalent of charismatic and festive uncles - and a bit alcoholic on the edge - who throw out a few wise words in joy and good humor with a few jokes here and there. There, I found that they were already older (even Makino, which surprised me) and they all behaved in a somewhat moralistic and not very amusing manner.
𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆
Some acting really took me out of the series like that of Alvida, Cabaji or Nojiko (which is not very important in itself) but also those of Garp, Kobby and Helmeppo. The problem for the latter was that, as a result, I couldn't stand all the scenes where we follow their evolution on Garp's ship. I unfortunately found myself skipping these passages. Gol D. Roger, Alvida and Garp's laughs also took me out of the show a bit given how unnatural they seemed.
𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐒
✧ … The Den Den Mushi… Nope? They looked like creepy toys with a weird digital effect. They made me a little uncomfortable like the old, slightly scary dolls. Nami's tiny Den Den Mushi, on the other hand, I really enjoyed. I would have liked the bigger ones to look like him. ✧ The wanted poster photos also looked strange as if they had the old, not-so-pretty Instagram filters that saturated the colors and erased the shadows and depth of the images. The giant portrait of Morgan at the base of Shells Town also bothered me since it reminded me a lot of a digital drawing.
𝐂𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐒
I had two big "downsides" with the costumes: the Black Cat Pirates and Arlong's crew. I think that Kuro's was okay, but for his two crew members, it surprised me to notice the lower quality of their costumes compared to the others. Already, Bushi's cape seemed too thick to me and we see during his fight with Zoro in the hall that it bothers him. Yet it was especially Sham's that I was surprised by. Her combat outfit looked like a faux leather outfit from a fast-fashion brand with cheap headband and bow tie as well as her shorts + sleeveless shirt combo. Her makeup was also curious given that her "cat" makeup is a unibrow with an arrow that connects said unibrow with her nose where the tip of the arrow that forms the nose is. I was also not convinced by their dynamic as well as by their growling which appeared to me above all to be ridiculous. The makeup of Arlong's crew also bothered since, as much as Arlong and several members of his crew were okay because we could still see their facial expressions, Chew and Kuroobi bothered me because they had rough and inexpressive faces. Mostly Chew who reminded me more of a mix between an overbotoxed woman and the masks from American Nightmare 1...
𝐋𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐘/𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏
It's not so much a negative opinion as a sort of realization? In the anime, when I saw Garp hit Luffy, I found it funny. You could see the accumulation of small bumps on his head as well as his acrobatics and his plans to dodge his grandfather. In the memories with Ace and Sabo, Garp's presence when they talk about becoming pirates is quite amusing since they start to resemble the man in Munch's painting "The Scream" more than real children. However, when we saw it in the live action with the flashback where Garp destroys young Luffy's boat while telling him that he would never become a pirate, it gave me more of an atmosphere of a beaten child and that made me feel uncomfortable. I don't know if it did that to you too.
𝐌𝐈𝐇𝐀𝐖𝐊
This character does not at all resemble the image I had of him and I would like to know if I am the only one to have this distorted image. In my head, he barely spoke and, probably a cliché given his name, I saw him as a very cold and rudimentary guy. However, in the series, he appears to me to be more extravagant - whether in the way he looks or speaks - and the Latin music that appears every time he is on screen disconcerts me. And also reminded me a little of Hisoka. Am I the only one who was surprised to see him treated this way?

✧ Every time I saw Nami's outfit at Baratie, it reminded me of Dora the Explorer
Tumblr media
✧ I can't stand anymore Sanji's head movement to push back his bangs
Tumblr media
✧ When Sanji dives to save Luffy in the water, the movement of his hair directly reminds me of Prince Charming in Shrek.
Tumblr media
✧ What is this flag chick for "One Piece" episode 5? Is it for the Baratie?
𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐀 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖𝐄𝐑
✧ I watched the original version but some accents were such (Z.E.F.F) that I had to put the subtitles on to be able to understand everything ✧ I realized that I had been pronouncing Baratie wrong my entire childhood. I pronounced it like it was an English word but it seems like it was supposed to be pronounced like a French one? In the French subtitles, they translated mosshead into cabbage head… N O P E! ✧ I died laughing when I heard Sanji announce his attacks at Arlong Park ("côtelette, collier, épaule, poitrail"). I realized that if there was one place in the world where a french speaking person will never be lost in the world in terms of language, it is in a kitchen!
