does it matter what order you play the ac game in after ac3? Ive heard the modern day story kinda dies after that and from what i remember of playing syndicate that definitely seems to be true since iirc that was just some cutscenes between sequences plus the showdown cutscene at the end, so does it matter what one i play after ac3 or should it definitely be black flag?
#im gonna be finishing revelations soon and i have ac3#rogue#and unity#but im having trouble getting my hands on black flag bc of money#ac#assassins creed#my post#ac3#assassin's creed

art history nerd here! when the notre dame burned a few years ago, the most damaged area was the roof. y'know who has a very extensive 3D model of the roof? ubisoft, for assassin's creed! ubisoft has been very involved in the restoration of the notre dame, pledging over half a million euros in support. so yep, that is most likely an assassin's creed dude carrying the olympic torch!

Exploring Unity and Faithfulness in Clement's First Epistle: Lessons from Early Church Fathers
Clement’s First Epistle to the Corinthians offers a striking look into the early Christian church’s struggles and priorities. Written as a response to division and discord in the Corinthian congregation, it emphasizes unity, obedience, and service—principles that still resonate today. These early teachings encourage believers to live in harmony and remain faithful to Christ’s example. Exploring…

*gripping my hands so hard on a young trans persons shoulders that their bones are about to break*
do not log on to 4chan.com. do not get involved in passing olympics. you will always lose. do not put afab/amab* in your bio, that is cisgender society trying to know your “real” gender. you do not exist to please cisgender people. there is no ‘right’ way to be trans. learn your goddamn history, listen to your elders. listen to other disenfranchised groups. listen to intersex people and check yourself for intersexism. listen to trans poc and check yourself for racism. listen to disabled people and check yourself for ableism. be open to learning always. labels are meant to fit you, not the other way around. you are not weird or predatory for simply being attracted to others. youre fine if you’re not a skinny white twink or a barbie doll. you’re fine if your body is ‘weird’. you’re fine if you don’t have heavy or any dysphoria. it’s okay if you actually don’t want to transition or anything like that. life is worth living at any stage, you deserve to be happy. I SWEAR THAT YOU ARE OKAY!!!!!
*ok editing this bc i think there are some major misunderstandings here and also ignorance on my part so lemme clear the air. when i wrote “don’t put tme/tma” in ur bio i did NOT mean to say that discussions around transmisogyny aren’t important or that tme/tma cannot be helpful terminology, and i’m super sorry that it came off that way. also editing bc someone pointed out to me that the original phrasing of this post is very misinforming, so to also clarify, tme/tma was a term invented by transfems to talk about transfeminine experiences which i will admit that i was unfamiliar with the history of tme/tma as a term and was introduced to it through some really bad online queer discourse. but it’s always been of my opinion that discussion around all forms of bigotry, including transmisogyny, are important and need to be had. i explained in a rb, which i’ll link when i have more time, that my issue was with the way the term is used as only identification/oppression olympics rather than genuine nuanced discussion about the ways that transphobia/transmisogyny/transandrophobia/etc function and interact with each other. i advised young trans people to not put tma/tme in their bios, bc i know that the wrong people (not just cis people, but transphobes and assholes who just want to get under your skin) would use any indication of your direction of transition to try and misgender you. or specifically in the case of tma/tme, tell you that your experiences/thoughts are not valid or reasonable bc you were tma or tma.
i realize how not originally clarifying that makes me look stupid (and a transmisogynist), so seriously, i’m sorry for that major mishap. tma/tme are not inherently bad words and you are 1000% allowed to use whatever terminology fits you and your experiences best. so as another word of advice: please do not let some rando on the internet tell you how you should talk about your experiences
(also idgaf if you don’t “log on” to 4chan or that it’s “not a website”, the fact that any of you know that is shameful and upsetting)
#themcel#giz rants#:3#mogai#transgender#no more trans hatred and discourse…time for trans love#trans unity#themcel posting

No matter your answer, you have another opportunity right now.
We are a group of LGBTIQ+ refugees struggling to survive in Sudan. Every day, we face unimaginable persecution, violence, and rejection. On top of this, we are battling severe shortages of food, medical care, and shelter.
Hunger is a daily reality. Many of us go days without food, and medical assistance is nearly impossible to access. Our shelters are small and inadequate, leaving us exposed to harsh conditions. For lesbians, even basic sanitary products are out of reach.
With your help, we can change this. Your donation will go directly toward food, medication, and urgently needed tents to provide safe shelter. No amount is too small every dollar makes a difference in our survival.
🌍 Please donate today and be part of our fight for survival. Your kindness can help improve and even save our lives.

If you can’t donate, please share this post to help spread awareness. Thank you for standing with us!

I keep meeting transfem(me)s IRL who genuinely believe that transmasc erasure is a real problem and that we transmascs have it just as bad as they do. Today I spoke to a gal who actually thought transmascs have it worse. I responded to her that I believe everyone in the trans community shares a deep pain, beyond quantifying, that there's not really a hierarchy to our pain. There are so many amazing women out in the world who get it, who cherish and love us and feel our pain with us, just as we (transmascs) cherish and love them and feel their pain with them.
The haters and the division-mongers are the outlier. They're just louder in online spaces. Hate and division will always lose. Love and unity is the way forward.

da2 isn't the best dragon age game *because* it's openly a tragedy, but being a tragedy forces a level of narrative coherence that the other games in the series don't have, and *that's* what makes it a better game.
okay, so. dragon age 2 runs on nested foreshadowing and a limited set of themes that almost every character and plot beat fall into: love is not enough, wealth is not enough, power is not enough, good intent is not enough. the problems you run into are structural, rather than individual, and your ability to resolve them as one person is strictly limited. the arishok is a central figure for this, because he prefigures every other tragedy and makes the game's thesis statement as clear as possible. he doesn't want to be in kirkwall, but he is compelled to remain until he gets back what was stolen. he doesn't want to lead a coup attempt, but he is compelled by qunari codes of justice to act. he does not want to die and fail his duty, but but he is compelled to by the other two impossible demands. every tragedy in kirkwall is the result of too many people with wildly different definitions of justice crammed into one place specifically designed to maximize human misery and suffering, and so you get a wonderfully nested narrative onion where each quest reinforces that idea, where there are no good options, just positions you can take — even the affinity system plays into that, where constantly gassing up your friends or constantly pushing them to change are equally correct ways to go, but ones that won't ultimately make a huge difference in their lives or characters, because no matter how much they like you, they're not under your control.
this coherence is even justified by the framing device. of *course* the moral of the game is "insisting on a dogmatic, narrow idea of justice destroys individuals and societies," it's a yarn being spun by varric the con artist to a chantry cop!
neither origins or inquisition play with that sort of narrative complexity. origins is a jaundiced hero's quest, certainly, but it's still basically a hero's quest; inquisition has a number of characters who question what you're doing and why, but the multitude of voices pulls the game in too many potential directions. DA2 was so constrained in its production that it pulled on decidedly ancient theatrical traditions, and it worked so, so well
#dragon age 2#also having unity of place rather than time is brilliant#it would benefit so much from a kiwami remake#where kirkwall is just more alive than was possible at the time#where day and night happen more organically#where there's no fast travel

AS IF UNITY COULDN'T GET ANY FUCKING WORSE
for context, unity claimed that games in charity bundles would have the new fees waived. but i guess that depends on if unity determines it's a cause it personally likes

Unless you only play tRIpLE A titles this will most likely affect a game you like. Hell, it can even affect really big games like Pokemon Go.
For a long time, starting years and years back, a lot of people have been talking about the preservation of games and being against moving to digital only games for reasons like this, and how the greed of various big companies in the game industry will negatively impact access to games and their preservation. It's happening. This will impact games that are already out. This will impact games being made. This will impact games made in the future. So if you care even a teensy tiny bit about a single game made in unity, or you care about the future of game development period, I suggest you pay very close attention.
A good article from an indie developer detailing the changes and exactly how it screws devs over:
