Here's to one of the best actors of his generation, the versatile and multilingual king who's been pulling heartstrings for three decades with a variety of roles, faces, and languages...
Happy 46th birthday, Daniel Brühl!
p.s. who's your favorite Danny character? Sound off in the comments or the tags—or don't. I'm not your mother. 😋

she knew he was coming home, so she'd meal prepped for him, for the week, and she had done some cleaning around their home before baking some cookies. she felt productive, so she took a shower and was now laying in their bed, reading with the television on in the background. when she heard a door open and close, she smiled to herself and sighed as she waited for her husband to appear. when he did, she grinned up at him, "hi, baby," she murmured and wiggle her fingers at him.
Would you consider writing for other team principals? If yes, who??
I think i would write for all the team principals. Accept for Christian Horner. I would write Reader Daughter Horner but no reader x Horner. I just am not a fan. Everyone else don't be shy to ask for a fic regarding the drivers or team principals.
After watching 40+ of his works, I've noticed the roles that he plays often fall into these five categories...
#1 - because he's German, obviously, a Nazi. The bottom two are a little niche as he plays 'unwanted Nazi admirer'.
#2 - guy you can take home to meet your parents. He's played way too many of these—it's a given with that beautiful baby face—but these would be my top five. Bottom layer gets extra points for being a good friend to the elderly.
#3 - opposite that is the guy your parents warned you about. It seems Daniel has a lot of fun playing these, especially the top layer, which leans on the love-to-hate category. I can't tell if it's just my distaste for The Face of an Angel, but I also considered adding Thomas Lang. Could be why Chris in Cargo made it here as well... because what even was that movie.
#4 - now we have 'man in way above his head by the situation his political ideologies have gotten him into'. You almost always need a trigger warning for the films these characters are in as they will absolutely gut you. They're often based on real people and events. So you will learn something about history while Daniel gets tortured into a pulp.
#5 - and finally, 'expert in his field, kind of an asshole, but hella breedable'. Most of my favorite characters are in this category... I don't know what that says about me.
Is it cheating to place Zemo a second time? I don't care. He feels like an entirely different character.
Camp (Presumed Innocent) will star as JP Morgan, the world-famous investment banker who finds himself at odds with George Russell (Morgan Spector) over the future of the railroad industry. Martin (Evil) will play Madame Dashkova, a medium who claims to be able to commune with the dead. Wever (Unbelievable) will take on Monica O’Brien, Bertha Russell’s (Carrie Coon) estranged sister who appears at a crucial time for the family.
“The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic and social change, when huge fortunes were made and lost overnight,” reads the season’s official description. “With the old guard officially deposed, New York society finds itself turned upside down, and all must get their house in order. But even those at the helm of this new era may find that change comes at a cost.”
Other new cast members joining the above trio are Leslie Uggams (Roots) as Mrs. Ernestine Brown, Elizabeth Kirkland [Phylicia Rashad]’s friend and a member of the Black elite community in Newport; Lisagay Hamilton (Winning Time) as Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, the famed Black suffragist who inspires Peggy (Denée Benton) to become involved in her cause; Paul Alexander Nolan as Alfred Merrick, a dashing, wealthy New York businessman, who has all the hallmarks of the old money set — elegance, refinement and sophistication; Hattie Morahan (Fool Me Once) as Lady Sarah Vere, Sister to the Duke of Buckingham (Ben Lamb); and Jessica Frances Dukes (Ozark) as Athena Trumbo, Dorothy’s (Audra McDonald) beloved first cousin and a part of an elite enclave of Black residents of Newport, R.I.

*My unhinged theory about Blessie + the accompanying fic
**I get that Pryce gave Hera her voice to control her. My question is, why she didn’t do that for Eris, Enlil, and Rhea too? My personal theory is that it’s because Hera was a more updated/advanced AI and they gave her more of a defiant/tough/independent personality on purpose to make her more resilient, but they also wanted her to be controllable. But that’s just my head canon.
***Bob said they intend to observe humanity for 14,000 years by sending in the human copies. Lovelace is a human copy and she made it back to Earth. Unless the aliens send more copies, given how difficult it is to kill Lovelace, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume the dear listeners gave her a lifespan of 14,000 years.
