*whispers* your jojo hcs make me so happy! so can i request a fic or hc, whatever makes you happy, with jojo?? where reader isnt a newsie and shes kinda upper class like kath, but she likes to give back to the community by giving out extra clothes, food, water/coffee, etc to people who live on the street (including the newsies) and jojo finds that admirable and he gets all blushy and cute? its been a rough night and i just would like some nice fluff and your writing always brightens my day... :)
a/n: I’m glad you like my writing, I hope you’re feeling better. Keep smiling, love! I wrote a small fic, I hope you like it!
You’d been a high-class member of society ever since you could remember. You went to fancy dinners, lived in a big house and had everything you’d ever wanted handed to you on a silver platter. The life you lived was lavish and comfortable but you always felt a tug of spite for these rich people. The snobbish behaviour that they oozed and how they thought they were better than everyone else.
Your parents were supportive in your want to give to other people, you set up a charity and wanted to give back. You visited orphanages and other places that were less fortunate than you within New York. You gave them fresh clothes, food and water. The state of their living wasn’t glamorous or comfortable most days but they always exuded positivity which made it worthwhile. You gave books to children and taught some of the younger ones to read. Your charities helped people find a place to sleep at night, that was inside.
On of your favourite places to visit was the Newsboys’ Lodging House in lower Manhattan. The boys were always so excited to receive the gifts that you brought them and never ceased to make you smile.
JoJo found what you did admirable and developed a crush on you after a few visits. You couldn’t lie and say that you didn’t have a crush on him too. He wasn’t as loud as the some of the other boys but always made an effort to talk to you when you came around.
The two of you would talk for hours if you had the time, the blushes and small smiles you exchanged would brighten even the darkest of days. You’d buy your paper off of him everyday which caused his heart to beat slightly harder.
One particular morning, you heard from Specs that JoJo had a fever and rushed immediately to the lodging house with hot soup in hand.
You reached the lodge to find a sick JoJo sitting on his bunk with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, reading a book he likely borrowed from Davey.
“Oh, JoJo,” you breathed heavily, having run quite a distance.
“(y/n)?” he was shocked that you were here at all, “what are you doing here?”
“Specs said you were sick and I wanted to bring you soup,” you were both blushing bright red. He moved over slightly and pat the spot next to him on the bunk.
“Are you going to sit down?” you nodded and joined him on the bed. You opened the soup container as he placed the book to the side. You both stared at each other for a moment before JoJo had the confidence to speak up.
“Well, are you gonna feed it to me?” the smirk on his red face caused you to blush intensely. His eyes widened when he realised what he said, “Oh, I-I’m sorry. That was so inappropriate. (y/n), I’m so sorry.”
“Jo, it’s okay. I don’t mind feeding it to you,” this time you smirked at him as he blushed more.
“If I wasn’t sick, I’d kiss you right now, Miss (y/n).”
“You definitely can when you’re no longer ill, Mr. De la Guerra. I’d like that very much.”
So, you sat with him all day. Fed him soup and read to him as he slept with his head on your lap. When you left that evening he was still not completely well and you hoped he would be better after a good nights sleep.
The next day, JoJo was at his usual selling spot. When you approached him, he grinned wide and grabbed your face. He kissed you softly causing the boys around you to yell out and cheer. You broke away with matching grins and red faces.
“I do hope you’re not sick anymore, JoJo.”
“Not at all, I had an angel looking afta’ me yesterday.”
The End
What a cutie, I hope you liked it!
