It was just a simple day that was made extra special thanks to your ray of sunshine, Mikey. You and Mikey were just playing around on the beach as you made a stop before going home. He was splashing water on you, while you run away from him. The two of you were just enjoying your time acting like a bunch of kids. That was when he realized that no one could make him happier than you did. You were always willing to do childish things with him. His heart literally skipped a beat as you held his face with both of your hands as you two were sitting on the sand, cuddled up in one another's embrace. He understood that you're all that he needs. He took your hands and held them dearly. And, you were clearly taken aback by what he said. "I love you, Y/N. Please don't ever leave me." He genuinely spoke with a tone in his voice that only you could ever hear as he finally admitted he loves you. Your heart was screaming in happiness. After all, you loved him for as long as you could imagine and this was the day you've been waiting for. You wrapped your hands behind his neck and replied, "I love you more, Mikey. It'll be foolish of me to leave someone as great as you." He smiled at what you said and gave you a chaste kiss on your cheek. Up to the present, you still remember that day clearly where Manjiro Sano became your world.

Chifuyu Matsuno

Your day was about to end with him. But, of course, you wanted to have more time with him. You asked him if he could stay with you for a little bit longer. He suggested that the two of you should eat something, but both of you didn't have that much money anymore since you spent almost all of it in the arcade. So, you resorted to eating in the nearest 7/11 at that time. He was eating some instant ramen in a cup, while you bought the cheapest rice meal. All his life, he thought he'll never meet someone as awesome as you. Your simplicity is really what drove him to you. And, seeing you enjoy a convenience store meal with him, he can't help but think that he's truly and madly in love with you. You were even giving him a spoonful of your food, something he finds endearing. He realized that he doesn't want to let you go, ever. So, for him, it was the right time to say it. As you were focused biting into your food, he suddenly called out to you. And, when he had your full attention, he instantly blurted it out, "I love you so much." You stopped chewing for a while since you didn't expect him to say it. You dropped your utensils and gave him a hug. He hugged you back even tighter and you whispered into his ear, "I love you too, Chifuyu." It wasn't something out of a romantic movie nor it was in a romantic setting that one would plan. It was all just natural and pure. The unexpected happened in a situation where you two were just being yourselves. Chifuyu Matsuno is a blessing to your life and will show you his love in different ways.

Takashi Mitsuya

For him, you were like an angel in disguise. Because ever since you came into his life, you've constantly been helping him. From assisting him when he's sewing clothes to even helping him take care of his sisters. And, on one occasion, when you left his house after taking care of Mana and Luna, his sisters would ask him if he loves you because they said they do. Takashi just smiled like a complete idiot and came to the realization that he indeed loves you. He won't say it just yet, but he will make you feel it. Through ways like he'll remind you to bring an umbrella since it was going to rain that day. Or he will bring you home-cooked lunch since you always forget to eat because you were always busy. And, when the two of you were studying for a test and he noticed that you were having a really hard time memorizing a complicated formula he knew he had to say it. "Hey, Y/N? Look at me." You looked at him with a scowl on your face and he just smiled at the sight of that. "Just remember, I love you, okay?" The gloominess in your face suddenly turned into a surprised expression. You smiled out of joy but you chose to ignore him with a pout on your lips. He stares at you as he waits for your answer. You rolled your eyes in defeat before finally admitting the feeling you've been hiding for a while now. "I love you too, Taka." You wholeheartedly say even if your pout was still there. He just laughed at how cute you are, but you were definitely much more motivated. And, from then on, he'll randomly tells you he loves you when he knows you want to hear it. For that, you believed that Takashi is the angel in your life.

Keisuke Baji

He knew he was in love with you the moment you first interacted with his mom. He realized that these ladies were his top priority. His heart felt so warm as he observed you and his mom while cooking. To say that he was in love with you was such an understatement, this boy saw the girl he'll marry in you. He'll just watch you and his mom share a conversation even if he was embarrassed that his mom was showing you baby pictures of him. You were already in love with him. He was all that you could ask for in a person. A reminder you have yourself is to keep the person who doesn't just give you butterflies but will also give you comfort and security. And, Baji gives you all of that. While the three of you eat dinner, you and Baji keep glancing at each other, and his mom suddenly noticed. "Oh, Keisuke, if you don't marry this girl, I swear I'll cry again." She said as her eyes looked as if she was pleading at his son. He just chuckled and simply answered his mom, "Okay, I will." Now, all you could imagine at the table was a married life with the most perfect man like him. Before he walks you to your door, he suddenly stopped you and looked into your eyes. And, after all the times he tried to conceal what he felt, he finally tells you, "I love you, Y/N. What I said there was true. I truly want to marry you. I know you won't believe me right now, but pl-" You cut him off by tiptoeing to reach his face and just crash your lips together with his. "There. Now, you know I love you too." You said as you saw the visible blush on his face even in the dark. His eyes were widened in surprise, but he pulled you close in his broad arms and gave you a loving hug. He kissed the top of your head before leaving. And, right after he drives off, he waves at you and said, "Laters, babe." Now, a few years have passed and all you and Baji are waiting for is to tie the knot after you two graduate college. Until now, you still can't believe that what was once a daydream will soon turn into a reality.

The ball hit the floor. The sound of the whistle and the roaring cheer of the crowd spread through the court.

Bloody Hell.

Kisaki found himself thinking, at this rate they were going to lose. Then again who would’ve thought that Touman’s garbage of a spiker would suddenly become so good the moment Valhalla was getting close to winning.

“Hey, relax Tetta, we’ll win.” A voice said as his arms were wrapped around Kisaki’s waist and his head rested on his shoulder. Hanma Shuji, Valhalla’s best spiker… maybe even the best spiker in all of Tokyo. And if anything Hanma was right, they could win, they were Valhalla, the headless angels, and no one, not even Takemichi’s determination was going to beat them.

Kisaki puffed out a breath and relaxed his shoulders. “I know we’ll win,” he replied, scoffing as he moved out of Hanma’s hold, “we have the best spiker in all of Tokyo on our side after all,” he said, throwing Hanma a look over his shoulder.

“Ah jeez,” Hanma smiled, rubbing his palm over his face, “what am I going to do with you?” he mumbled, turning around to face his team.

“Who are we?” Hanma yelled at his team.

“Valhalla!” The team roared.

“And what are we?” He yelled again.

“Winners!” The roared as cheers followed along.

Kisaki put down his water bottle on the bench, smiling at Hanma as he cheered up the team. Hanma was right, they were Valhalla and Valhalla were anything but losers.

Hanma turned his head and faced Kisaki, “Well then, Valhalla’s greatest setter, what are you waiting for?” he said, giving Kisaki a grin.

The corner of Kisaki’s mouth tilted up as he runs his hand through his hair, stepping back onto the court, taking his position beside Valhalla’s… no, his greatest spiker. The whistle blew, as the game restarted, Touman’s Hayashida aka Pah-Chin started the game with a powerful set.

Hanma and Kisaki looked at each other from the corner of their eyes and grinned, this was it, this was Valhalla.

The ball flew over to their side of the court, Kazutora taking a perfect receive.

Set.

Spike

Return.

A point was gained.

Set.

Bump.

Droplets of sweat dripped on the floor.

Another point.

Lungs running out of breath.

Touman won, they won again. The two teams were ordered to line up in front of the net and shake hands.

“Tetta” Hanma called out, trying to jog up to an already leaving Kisaki.

“Don’t” Kisaki gritted out, “whatever you’re going to say, just don’t say it,” he said as he kept on walking, his back turned towards Hanma.

“You’re really impossible,” Hanme mumbled, reaching out to grab Kisaki’s arm, forcing Kisaki to face his direction. “I just want to say one thing.”

Kisaki glared at Hanma, pulling his arms back, he tilted his head up a bit telling Hanma to go ahead. Hanma’s hands reached up to Kisaki’s face and pulled it close to his, their foreheads touching.

“I know you’re going to blame yourself for this,” he said, “even when it’s not your fault and we’ll get them next time, we still have tomorrow’s game against Black Dragons, we’re not out yet and I can’t you have in that mindset while we’re facing off against Taiju.” Hanma took a deep breath and continued speaking: “You’re the brain and the core of Valhalla, I may be the captain but we’re nothing without you, so stop beating yourself over it and play tomorrow like it’s the last time you’re going to play… that is unless you don’t want to beat Hanagaki” he said, leaning back as smirked at Kisaki’s scowling face.

“Shut up,” Kisaki grumbled.

“You can hug me you know, I know you’re holding back.”

Kisaki didn’t say anything, just wrapped his arms around Hanma, burying his head into Hanma’s chest. “Shut up Shuji, no one asked you,” he mumbled into Hanma’s chest.

Tomorrow they were going to win, no doubt about it.
