Wolf Like Me. A visit to the Lakota Wolf Preserve; truly one of the most glorious days of my life. Breathing the same air and looking into the eyes of these godlike creatures - and having their eyes look at - and through - me, was almost too emotional. I was a sobbing mess when the howling started & I couldn't tell you why. All I know is the new energy I feel after this experience is probably one of the best gifts to start 2020 I could ask for. | Day 6 in South Africa 🇿🇦 | Un des jours les plus mémorables de ma vie! J’ai enfin vu des giraffes :) juste à un tout petit mètre de moi! C’était fou, magique et tellement spectaculaire.. la nature est vraiment trop belle, je n’ai pas de mot pour décrire à quel point je suis heureuse et #grateful de pouvoir vivre de tels moments. 💚 Nous sommes allés à la Garden Route Lodge Reserve à 4h30 de #capetown et je recommande cette réserve à tout le monde. C’est une des plus naturelles et des plus vastes d’#afriquedusud le paysage est magnifique et tous les animaux sont à leur état naturel, protégés des braconniers. Nous avons ensuite pris la route vers #knysna pour voir le coucher de soleil en bord de mer, faire du yoga dans l’herbe et dormir à la belle étoile. I adore peacocks. I hear and see them every day and they bring joy to my life. Many people complain about them being noisy, hazardous to property and dangerous to drivers. In the 6 years I’ve lived in this community there has been unnecessary new construction on lands these animals called home and raised their families when existing homes for sale sat unsold. New communities of homes that are cookie cutter and not unique in physical style. This makes me angry. The lack of care for our animals and land is greedy & careless. What will we do to preserve what’s left of our way of life that lives in harmony with the plants 🌱 and animals 🙉🐟🦋who add peace to our life? Support the peacocks! Isn't this little guy beautiful? Saw this guy doing his job while walking around the #animalpreserve yesterday. Everyone wether vegan or not should educate themselves on the honey industry. How they mistreat bees and the reality of colony collapse disease. Bees are important to our food sources. For those who don't remember high school biology cross pollination is necessary to plant survival. So please look into honey substitutes like @beefreehonee which is made from apples.
