this last week has been the absolute Worst for me mentally and also made me feel like I'm despicable as a person and don't deserve anything nice and I'm not even that glad it's over for multiple reasons
#so the last half a year me and my friends were expecting to go to this animation festival in zagreb in june#we'd hoped our uni would sponsor us but that didn't work out#whatever#but another thing was that i am Not From Here and i need Visas to travel Virtually Anywhere in europe#and my passport had expired so i waited for 3 months to get a new one (thats how long it takes normally through the consulate of my country)#basically i got it like a week before the fest and the croatian embassy was booked til JULY. no visas for me.#plus i found out my id had expired too so i couldn't even get another Schengen visa or to go Anywhere At All before i renew it#which also takes a month and a half because foreign citizens don't deserve things done quickly i guess#so i didn't go and two of my friends went to the fest anyway#the festival week was absolutely excruciating to get through with constant reminders that they're there and im not#a wild mix of fomo and envy#and i obviously dont want to shit on my friends for sharing how the fest was going because i genuinely want to be happy for them#and they have all the rights to share and get positive feedback from people they love#but i cannot find enough virtue in me to support them in spite of my Unfortunate Situation and#i fully believe that im not a good friend or a good person in the first place because of that#they came back last night and i cant even respond to their “so sad its over” stories with genuine sympathy because im still#so fucking bitter. that i was not there with them. and they had fun. and i didnt.#why am i like this and how can i stop being so fucking disgusting at this point i doubt if i even deserve any friends#why cant i just be happy for them.#lets hope none of them see this#feel free to reply#lord knows i need any support i can get i am Not Well#vent#personal#ellis.txt

I went down the internet rabbit hole trying to figure out wtf vegan cheese is made of and I found articles like this one speaking praises of new food tech startups creating vegan alternatives to cheese that Actually work like cheese in cooking so I was like huh that's neat and I looked up more stuff about 'precision fermentation' and. This is not good.
Basically these new biotech companies are pressuring governments to let them build a ton of new factories and pushing for governments to pay for them or to provide tax breaks and subsidies, and the factories are gonna cost hundreds of millions of dollars and require energy sources. Like, these things will have to be expensive and HUGE
I feel like I've just uncovered the tip of the "lab grown meat" iceberg. There are a bajillion of these companies (the one mentioned in the first article a $750 MILLION tech startup) that are trying to create "animal-free" animal products using biotech and want to build large factories to do it on a large scale
I'm trying to use google to find out about the energy requirements of such facilities and everything is really vague and hand-wavey about it like this article that's like "weeeeeell electricity can be produced using renewables" but it does take a lot of electricity, sugars, and human labor. Most of the claims about its sustainability appear to assume that we switch over to renewable electricity sources and/or use processes that don't fully exist yet.
I finally tracked down the source of some of the more radical claims about precision fermentation, and it comes from a think tank RethinkX that released a report claiming that the livestock industry will collapse by 2030, and be replaced by a system they're calling...
Food-as-Software, in which individual molecules engineered by scientists are uploaded to databases – molecular cookbooks that food engineers anywhere in the world can use to design products in the same way that software developers design apps.
I'm finding it hard to be excited about this for some odd reason
Where's the evidence for lower environmental impacts. That's literally what we're here for.
There will be an increase in the amount of electricity used in the new food system as the production facilities that underpin it rely on electricity to operate.
well that doesn't sound good.
This will, however, be offset by reductions in energy use elsewhere along the value chain. For example, since modern meat and dairy products will be produced in a sterile environment where the risk of contamination by pathogens is low, the need for refrigeration in storage and retail will decrease significantly.
Oh, so it will be better for the Earth because...we won't need to refrigerate. ????????
Oh Lord Jesus give me some numerical values.
Modern foods will be about 10 times more efficient than a cow at converting feed into end products because a cow needs energy via feed to maintain and build its body over time. Less feed consumed means less land required to grow it, which means less water is used and less waste is produced. The savings are dramatic – more than 10-25 times less feedstock, 10 times less water, five times less energy and 100 times less land.
There is nothing else in this report that I can find that provides evidence for a lower carbon footprint. Supposedly, an egg white protein produced through a similar process has been found to reduce environmental impacts, but mostly everything seems very speculative.
And crucially none of these estimations are taking into account the enormous cost and resource investment of constructing large factories that use this technology in the first place (existing use is mostly for pharmaceutical purposes)
It seems like there are more tech startups attempting to use this technology to create food than individual scientific papers investigating whether it's a good idea. Seriously, Google Scholar and JSTOR have almost nothing. The tech of the sort that RethinkX is describing barely exists.
Apparently Liberation Labs is planning to build the first large-scale precision fermentation facility in Richmond, Indiana come 2024 because of the presence of "a workforce experienced in manufacturing"
And I just looked up Richmond, Indiana and apparently, as of RIGHT NOW, the town is in the aftermath of a huge fire at a plastics recycling plant and is full of toxic debris containing asbestos and the air is full of toxic VOCs and hydrogen cyanide. ???????????? So that's how having a robust industrial sector is working out for them so far.

The situation in Florida and around the globe has some coral scientists confronting a dark reality: Coral restoration, which started as a noble endeavor back when humans weren’t this far down the road of climate breakdown, is bearing little fruit. It has failed to keep up with wave after wave of loss, yet remains the bulk of what’s being done to help ailing reefs. And scientists in the field are scrambling to figure out what comes next, with no clear consensus. “What we were doing 10 years ago was working, and it was the strategy that we could do at the time, but things are changing fast. This year, in particular, should have been a wake-up call to everybody,” said Ken Nedimyer, who founded CRF in 2007 but left in 2017 to start another outfit called Reef Renewal USA. “What we were doing and are doing is not going to work. We’ve got to do something different.” “To rinse and repeat,” he added, “the results are going to be exactly the same, which is failure.” [...]
When it comes to the threat of human-caused climate change, the world’s fragile reefs are often described as the canary in the coal mine. “If the coal mine is the Keys, the canary is dead,” said Bill Precht, a veteran coral scientist based in Miami. Even before last summer, upwards of 90% of coral on Florida’s reef had vanished due to warming temperatures, pollution and sediment runoff, disease outbreaks — stony coral tissue loss being the worst of them — and other threats. Coverage of stony corals, those that build hard skeletons and are the foundation of Florida’s 350-mile reef, was around just 2%, down from historical levels of 30% to 40%.

Isekai'd Chronicles 0
Tumblr media
Intro: The prologue to your reincarnation adventures~
Warnings: otome games, bad writing, awful grammar, reader has a sister, proofread by quillbot, lots of mentions of death
A/N: The reader is kept as gender neutral as my brain could possibly allow. Also, I have different endings planned per route, and maybe (very small maybe because I'm not too comfortable with it) a couple of harem-ish routes. Anyways, enjoy.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
You didn't like otome games, and certainly not harem ones. When your younger sister had begged, pleaded, and cried for you to join her in this weird, "innovative" two-player otome game, you had half a mind to just lock yourself in your room and ignore her. But you don't. Because some god probably has it out for you, divine intervention leads to your agreement, and the better half of Friday night and early Saturday morning is spent flirting with beautiful men on the 32-inch television screen in the living room. Summer vacation means neither of you get grounded for doing so, but there was certainly a healthy scolding waiting for you both come Saturday afternoon.
Fortunately for you unfortunately, the scolding never comes. As it is in every cheesy harem isekai manga, the next time you open your eyes, you're already in another world. Hooray! The same game that you and your sister spent hours on is now your reality. When you look into the mirror, you're even more surprised to find that staring back at you is a cute little bun with clear skin, gorgeous eyes, and beautifully silky hair. Aren't you happy you're super adorable now? Except, this is the face of the villain. That bratty, desperate, and pathetic duke's heir who was an obstacle in all 14 routes and the three different harem endings. It's okay. It's fine. If you never fall in love with the male leads, then you'll be safe!
Safe from falling to your death, getting poisoned, turned to sand, stabbed, drowned, sunk to the bottom of the ocean in a rickety little box, beaten to death, beheaded, hypnotized and made to kill yourself against your will, cursed to melt into toxic sludge, getting an arrow shot through your heart, burned alive, getting hanged in front of thousands of people, or being mauled to death by animals…
Make sure not to fall in love, okay?
The villain's endings—none of them end with you staying alive. So you steel yourself and look at the pudgy cutie pie in the mirror with renewed resolve. You'll live to the end! You'll study hard! You won't fall in love with any of the love interests! Ever! In any case, you are human, and most of the love interests are of other races from other lands, meaning you won't even be seeing their shadows for several years. Right now, you estimate that you should be about 3 or 4. The game starts when you and the main characters are 16 years old in the super-unexpected and never-been-done-before magic academy setting. You have at least a decade to shape yourself up and grind to an OP level; that way, if you still find yourself hunted by hot men, you can at least defend yourself. Hopefully. As a human duke's heir, however, there are two male leads you know from the start. They're also pudgy little cuties right now (all the love interests are at this point in time), but they're dangerous. Because you could fall in love, which is a big no-no. But since you were a teenager in your previous life, you wouldn't fall in love with 5-year-olds. Automatically, they're struck from your mind as "love interests." Still, you can't let the danger be on its own, so you decide to tell your parents that you no longer have any interest in your weekend tea parties at the palace (that the little villain had begged for). You can avoid them easily, and so you will. As a three-year-old, there's not much you can do for now, but one thing you can do is get a tutor to teach you the ins and outs of the universal language (convenient otome game logic). You busy yourself with studying the alphabetical and numerical systems and make a staunch decision to be a good duke's heir and, in time, a good duke ruling over the dukedom.
Fate decides to tear your plans apart little by little, pop the pieces into a blender and add some water to turn it into a paper-flavored smoothie.

Pairing: Monkey D Luffy x Jealous Y/N
Summary: You get jealous from the affection Luffy was getting from the Minks
A/n: Happy Birthday to the future King of the Pirates! I kept delaying this and now it's a whole week after his birthday! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing this! WC: 2,770 <3

Monkey D Luffy, you and half of the crew find yourselves on Zou, an island known for its touch-sensitive animals. As you explore the island, you quickly realize that any contact with the animals can trigger a variety of reactions.
Some animals become docile and friendly, while others become aggressive and defensive. It becomes a thrilling challenge for you and the crew to navigate through the island without accidentally setting off a chain reaction of animal responses.
"Hey Luffy, be careful! These animals on Zou are really sensitive," You warned as he watched Luffy approach a group of touch-sensitive monkeys. Luffy grinned mischievously and replied, "Don't worry, Y/N! I'm gonna figure out how to make friends with them all!"
With his rubber powers, Luffy managed to gently touch the monkeys without triggering any aggressive reactions, earning their trust and forming a unique bond with the touch-sensitive creatures.
As they continued their adventure on Zou, Luffy's ability to connect with the animals became a valuable asset, allowing the crew to navigate the island without any major incidents.
"Wow, Luffy! I can't believe you managed to befriend all these touch-sensitive creatures," Franky exclaimed, impressed by Luffy's knack for making connections.
"Yeah, it's amazing how your rubber powers come in handy," Usopp added, admiringly. Luffy grinned proudly, "Well, they're my friends now, and they're gonna help us find the way to the next adventure!"
With the crew's trust in Luffy's unique abilities and their newfound allies on Zou, they set off on their next journey, ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
As they reached the outskirts of the city, Luffy and his crew were stunned by the sight of the once thriving city in ruins. The destruction was immense, and it was clear that a fierce battle had taken place.
They were led to the secret base of the Mink Tribe, where they learned that the city had been attacked by a powerful enemy seeking to capture the Minks and exploit their unique abilities.
The crew's hearts sank as they realized the gravity of the situation and the need to help their new allies rebuild their home. With determination in their eyes, they pledged to stand alongside the Mink Tribe and restore their city to its former glory.
When they finally reached the base, Luffy and his crew were relieved to be reunited with the rest of their crewmates. The sight of their familiar faces brought a sense of comfort and solidarity amidst the uncertainty of the situation.
With their full crew intact, they felt a renewed sense of strength and determination to aid the Mink Tribe in their fight for justice and the restoration of their city.
"So what happened with Sanji?" Luffy asked, while a Mink was softly chewing on his cheeks. Nami sighed and filled Luffy in on the events that had transpired during his absence.
She explained how Sanji had been forcibly taken away by the powerful enemy, leaving a trail of worry and uncertainty in his wake. Luffy's eyes narrowed with determination as he clenched his fists.
"We're going to find Sanji and bring him back," he declared, his resolve unwavering.
The Mink Tribe, grateful for the crew's support and eager to show their appreciation, decided to have a grand feast in honor of their new allies. As the feast progressed, the minks, their touch sensitivity enhanced by the celebratory atmosphere, became twice as touchy.
Luffy and his crew, understanding the minks' intentions and feeling a deep sense of camaraderie, welcomed the affectionate gestures with open arms, cherishing the bond they had formed with their furry friends.
However, for you, this proves to be problematic, as you tend to get easily jealous.
You excused yourself from the feast, feeling a mix of discomfort and jealousy as you watched the minks shower the crew with affection. It wasn't that you doubted their loyalty or friendship, but the sight of your crewmates being lavished with attention stirred up a sense of insecurity within you.
Luffy's eyes were on you as soon as you stood up, curiosity shining in his eyes. Luffy's attention was quickly diverted by the irresistible spread of food before him, causing him to momentarily forget about your departure.
As he eagerly dug into the feast, his focus shifted entirely to savoring the delicious dishes, leaving little room for him to notice your absence or the turmoil of emotions within you.
You wandered through the forest, the sound of rustling leaves and the gentle breeze brought a sense of tranquility to your troubled mind. The vibrant colors of the flora and the melodious chirping of birds helped to momentarily distract you from the jealous thoughts. You took deep breaths, allowing the fresh air to cleanse your mind and release the grip of jealousy that had taken hold.
You haven't felt this much jealousy in a long time, but it had suddenly started when the minks surrounded Luffy with their affection. It was as if a switch had been flipped, and all those insecurities came rushing back, clouding your thoughts and tainting your enjoyment of the feast.
Did you want Luffy's attention all to yourself? You couldn't help but wonder if you were being unreasonable in wanting Luffy's attention all to yourself. After all, he was the captain and the center of attention wherever he went.
But deep down, you longed for a moment where it was just the two of you, away from the distractions and the constant influx of new friends.
As you closed your eyes and let the gentle sounds of nature lull you into a state of calm, you couldn't help but reflect on your own emotions. Jealousy was a complex emotion, one that often stemmed from a place of insecurity and fear of losing someone's affection.
It was clear that you craved Luffy's attention, but perhaps it was time to confront these feelings and communicate your needs with him.
Was it possible that your jealousy stemmed from more than just a desire for attention? Did you have deeper feelings for Luffy that you were only now beginning to acknowledge? These were questions that lingered in your mind as you contemplated the depth of your emotions.
As you contemplated the depth of your emotions, your mind drifted back to that fateful day when you saved Luffy from a severe injury.
The memory was etched vividly in your mind - the sound of swords clashing, the adrenaline pumping through your veins, and the concerned look on Luffy's face that made your heart beat faster.
In that moment, you realized that your connection with him went beyond friendship. It was a bond forged through shared experiences and a deep understanding of each other.
"Are you okay?" Luffy asked, his voice filled with genuine worry.
"I couldn't bear to lose you," you whispered, your voice choked with emotion.
Luffy's eyes softened, and he reached out to gently cup your face in his hands. "You don't have to worry about losing me," he said tenderly.
But now, as you reflected on that moment, you couldn't help but wonder if there was something more between you and Luffy. Maybe, just maybe, your jealousy stemmed from a desire for a deeper connection, a longing to be more than just friends sailing the seas together.
As you contemplated the depth of your emotions, your body still aching from the last battle in the previous island, you decided to take a nap. You found solace in the peacefulness of the moment, allowing your tired muscles to relax and your mind to wander.
Your head rested against the back of a tree, its rough bark providing a comforting support. As you closed your eyes and let the gentle sounds of nature lull you into a state of calm, you couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over you.
In this moment of tranquility, you realized that regardless of the complexities of your emotions, the most important thing was to cherish the bond you shared with Luffy and let the natural course of your relationship unfold. . . .
* . °•★|•° °•|☆•° . *⋆ ──⋅☆⋅⋆ ── * . °•★|•° °•|☆•° . *
You woke up to the sound of wild animals and immediately sat up from the tree, your heart racing. The eerie calls and rustling in the bushes outside your window made your imagination run wild.
Was it a pack of wolves? Or maybe a group of coyotes? You couldn't shake off the feeling of unease as you listened to the primal sounds echoing through the night.
As you peered into the darkness, you noticed the glint of many pairs of eyes shining back at you from the bushes.
Your mind raced with possibilities. Were they nocturnal animals, or something more sinister?
The mystery deepened as the glowing eyes seemed to multiply, surrounding your tree. Fear gripped you, and you realized that whatever lurked in the shadows, it was not a natural occurrence.
Suddenly, a group of wild animals ambushes you, trapping you in an inescapable position. Panic and confusion set in as you desperately try to find a way out. The animals' growls and snarls fill the air, intensifying your fear.
With each passing moment, the realization sinks in that you are at the mercy of these mysterious creatures, and the prospect of escape becomes increasingly unlikely. As you search for a solution, your mind races with thoughts of survival and the need to remain calm in the face of danger.
You try to muster the strength to fight back, knowing that in any other circumstance, taking on animals like them would be no problem. However, your whole body is frozen, and you can't move a muscle.
The fear and the pain had paralyzed you, leaving you defenseless against the growling predators. As you desperately search for a solution, your mind races with thoughts of survival and the need to remain calm in the face of danger, but the overwhelming panic makes it difficult to think clearly.
As the creatures draw closer, their eyes gleaming with hunger, you can only hope for a miracle or for someone to come to your rescue. The minutes tick by agonizingly slow, each second feeling like an eternity as you desperately search for a way to break free from this terrifying ordeal.
Suddenly, Luffy comes out of nowhere and stands in front of you. With his signature grin and boundless energy, he fearlessly confronts the wild animals. His mere presence seems to command respect from the creatures, as they hesitate for a moment, unsure of how to react.
Luffy springs into action, his rubbery limbs stretching and contorting as he delivers lightning-fast punches and kicks. With each strike, the sound of bone meeting flesh echoes through the night.
His powerful attacks send the creatures flying, their bodies crashing into the surrounding trees. Luffy's agility and speed make him nearly untouchable, as he effortlessly dodges their desperate lunges and retaliates with devastating force.
The sheer strength and determination in his eyes are matched only by the ferocity of his blows, as he single-handedly holds off the pack of predators. With each punch, Luffy's resolve grows stronger, his determination to protect you evident in every movement.
The wild animals, now battered and bruised, begin to retreat. The once-intimidating glint in their eyes is replaced with fear and submission. They scatter into the night, leaving you and Luffy standing victorious, the danger averted.
Luffy quickly ran towards you and asked if you were okay. "Are you hurt?" he exclaimed, concern evident in his voice.
You shook your head, still in disbelief at the incredible display of power and bravery you had just witnessed. "I'm okay, thanks to you," you managed to reply, gratitude filling your words.
Feeling weak and exhausted, you tried to get up but failed, leaning against the tree for support. Luffy's worried expression deepened as he rushed to your side, offering you a helping hand. "Take it easy, you've been through a lot this week," he said, his voice filled with genuine concern.
You nodded, feeling the weight of the exhaustion and adrenaline coursing through your veins. As you leaned slightly against him, Luffy's presence provided a sense of comfort and stability, allowing you to catch your breath and gather your strength.
"You know, you've been acting weird today," Luffy stated, taking a good look at you. Concern etched across his face, he gently asked, "Is something bothering you? You can always talk to me, you know."
You avoided eye contact with him, unsure of how to respond. The truth was, something had been bothering you, but you weren't ready to share it just yet.
The events of the night had only intensified your internal struggle, and you knew that opening up to Luffy could mean revealing a vulnerability you weren't quite ready to confront.
You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to express your thoughts.
"Y/N?" Luffy said, lifting your chin up to meet his gaze. "I can see that something is bothering you. Remember, we're a team, and I'm here for you no matter what."
"You wouldn't understand," you muttered, diverting your gaze.
"Try me."
"I...I get jealous every time someone touches you," you started, your voice barely above a whisper. "It's irrational, I know, but I can't help it." Luffy's eyes widened in surprise, but he remained attentive, waiting for you to continue.
"Jealous?" he repeated, trying to process your words.
"Yeah, like I don't want anyone else to have your attention other than me," you explained, your voice tinged with a mix of vulnerability and longing. Luffy's expression softened as he reached out to gently brush a strand of hair behind your ear.
"I feel the same way too. Like when Sanji hangs around you for too long, I get this feeling in my stomach," Luffy said easily, his voice filled with a mixture of relief and understanding.
You couldn't help but smile at Luffy's understanding and the way he effortlessly lifted your chin to meet his gaze. It was in moments like these that you realized how deeply connected you were, even in your vulnerabilities.
"I guess it's natural to feel that way when you care about someone so deeply," you admitted, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. Luffy nodded, his eyes locked with yours.
"Yeah, it just means we care for each other," he said, his voice filled with determination.
As the weight of your unspoken emotions lifted, you felt a surge of courage. With a mix of anticipation and nervousness, you slowly pulled him into a kiss, letting your lips meet in a tender and passionate embrace.
In that moment, all doubts and insecurities faded away, replaced by a sense of connection and understanding that only deepened your bond with Luffy.
It was a soft and lingering kiss, filled with warmth and tenderness. In that moment, you both felt a sense of comfort and reassurance, knowing that you could trust each other with your deepest vulnerabilities.
You pulled away from the kiss, your breath slightly shaky as you looked into Luffy's eyes. The intensity of the moment lingered in the air, and you couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of trust and love for each other.
As Luffy's hat fell off his head, he instinctively caught it just in time, but instead of putting it back on his own head, he gently placed it on yours. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about his protectiveness and the depth of his feelings for you.
"You know," Luffy said with a mischievous grin, "I think that hat looks even better on you than it does on me."
Blushing, you playfully roll your eyes and respond, "Well, I guess I'll have to wear it more often then."
"Well, I wouldn't mind seeing you wear it every day," Luffy replied, his grin widening.
Without hesitation, you leaned in again, feeling the warmth of Luffy's lips against yours. This time, the kiss was filled with a mix of passion and tenderness, as if you were both trying to convey the depth of your emotions through every touch.
The world around you faded away, and in that moment, it was just the two of you, enveloped in a kiss that spoke volumes about the love and trust you shared.
In that moment, you felt an overwhelming sense of security and love. . . .

✨Take a deep breath and close your eyes. This moment is all about you, so let go of any distractions and just focus on yourself. ✨
As you breathe in, ask your guides and the universe to bring you the message you need to hear right now and trust that whatever card you’re drawn to holds the wisdom meant for you.
When you’re ready, open your eyes and choose the card that speaks to your soul.
Ready?
Pile 1: The Phoenix
The Phoenix is your glow-up moment. This spirit animal is all about rising from the ashes, just like you do after a tough time. It’s the vibe of starting fresh, leaving behind what no longer serves you, and stepping into a brand-new version of yourself. Think of it as a fiery transformation—you're about to level up in a major way. Whatever challenges you've been facing, they're about to become the fuel for your comeback.
Financial advice: This is your moment to start fresh. If you’ve been stuck in a financial rut, now’s the time to think outside the box and try something new. Consider ways to reinvent your income streams or take on a new project that excites you. The energy of renewal is on your side—don’t be afraid to make bold moves.
Love life advice:
If you’re single: Let go of past heartbreaks and open yourself to new possibilities. This is a time of transformation in your love life, so embrace the change and be ready to meet someone who resonates with the new, empowered you.
If you’re in a relationship: If things have been stagnant, this is a great time to shake things up. Reignite the spark by doing something completely new together, whether it’s trying a new hobby or just talking about your shared dreams for the future.
Mantra for the Moment: I rise, renewed and empowered, ready to embrace my new path.
Tips from the witch: Embrace this transformation with open arms. Light a candle (preferably red or orange) to symbolize your rebirth. As it burns, visualize all the old energy being released, making space for new opportunities. Let go of what’s weighing you down, and don’t be afraid to reinvent yourself—you’re unstoppable!
Pile 2: Sea Serpent
The Sea Serpent is your reminder to go with the flow but also to trust in your inner wisdom. It's all about healing and emotional balance—like when you finally learn to let go of something you've been holding onto for too long. This card encourages you to dive deep into your emotions and embrace whatever comes up, knowing that it’s all part of your personal growth journey. It's like your inner ocean is guiding you toward emotional clarity and wholeness.
Financial advice: Take a moment to reflect on your financial situation. If things feel overwhelming, it’s okay to take a step back and reassess. Trust your instincts—they’ll guide you toward smarter decisions. Focus on long-term stability rather than quick fixes, and don’t be afraid to ask for advice if you need it.
Love life advice:
If you’re single: This is a time for healing and self-love. Focus on understanding your emotions and what you truly want in a partner. Once you’ve done that, you’ll naturally attract someone who aligns with your deeper needs.
If you’re in a relationship: Communication is key right now. Take time to talk about your feelings with your partner, especially if something’s been bothering you. Healing any emotional rifts will bring you closer together and create a stronger bond.
Mantra for the Moment: I flow with the currents of life, trusting my inner wisdom to guide me.
Tips from the witch: Take some time for self-care and reflection. Run a bath with sea salt or essential oils, and imagine the water washing away any emotional baggage. Listen to your intuition—it’s strong right now. You might also want to keep a journal nearby to jot down any insights or dreams; they’re likely to hold important messages for your path ahead.
Pile 3: The Horse
The Horse represents freedom, strength, and pure energy. It's that wild, adventurous part of you that's ready to break free and chase your dreams. This card is telling you that you've got what it takes to go the distance, whether it’s in work, relationships, or personal goals. Picture yourself running full speed ahead, wind in your hair, with nothing holding you back—you're unstoppable.
Financial Advice: The Horse is a symbol of energy and momentum, so it’s time to take charge of your financial goals. If there’s a project or opportunity you’ve been hesitant about, now’s the time to go for it. Trust that you have the strength and stamina to make it happen. Stay focused and don’t let anything slow you down.
Love Life Advice:
If you’re single: Be open to adventure in your love life. Try new things, meet new people, and don’t be afraid to take the first step. Your confidence and enthusiasm are magnetic right now—use that energy to attract the kind of relationship you want.
If you’re in a relationship: Give some excitement and spontaneity for your relationship. Plan a fun date or surprise your partner with something new. Keeping things fresh and adventurous will strengthen your connection and bring you closer together. Hey all. 👋 Two things I should talk about.
First, I've been getting a lot of messages about the recent rumors regarding Earthspark's cancellation after Season 2 in favor of a new animated TF series. I get it, people are scared that Hasbro will shut Earthspark down after only two seasons. I'm nervous too, considering the backlash from things like Fox News last year.
Right now I don't know anything more than the rest of you, and I really don't know which way it's going to turn out. We'll have to wait and see. As of now though, we still have all of Season 2 to look forward to, and we can do our best to show support for the show. And if it does end up being cancelled-- at least it happened, and it was great. Plus, I'm sure if the creators think it's not being renewed they will have a good conclusive ending to the story at the end of this season, even if it wasn't everything we or they wanted.
Second thing I want to quickly address; whatever happened about Starscream the second the trailer came out. Does this small fandom really need this kind of divisiveness over a 30-second trailer that shows only the very surface level of the plot? I guarantee there will be more to this season than "Starscream is evil again!". Earthspark's plot revolves around the idea that nobody is inherently evil, and that everyone can change for the better. They're not going to throw away all the character development that happened in Episode 21.
That's all. I'm on vacation so I won't be active much this week. Take care <3

My Patreon backers already saw this one (plus a few more), but here's a photo from an updated makeup test for my cosplay of Lord Viren from the animated Netflix series The Dragon Prince!
We weren't happy with our first attempt at Dark Form makeup, so we pulled some inspo from Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix Witcher series. It helped translate things to a real person's face a little easier! I'm also working on sewing Viren's grungy white outfit from seasons 4-6, so stay tuned! If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and go watch The Dragon Prince on Netflix! They're trying so hard to get renewed for more seasons, and they deserve it! My favorite show, hands-down!

MUCH GOOD NEWS! According to the RWBY livestream, they're getting along quite nicely with a potential partner about Volume 10, AND the current CRWBY is likely staying on as the creative team! Though they can't go into specifics yet, and there's gonna be more news in the coming weeks.
Excellent! Here's hoping they make it a renewable contract, means they can keep the animators employed at a steady rate.

Got a little twist ending here. Also, shoutout to @elarakive for picking up the stardew valley ref.
ON WITH THE SHOW!!~
______________________________________________________________
The next morning, you wake up with a renewed sense of purpose. Bakugou’s words linger in your mind, giving you the confidence to take him up on his offer to help around the farm. You decide to surprise him with a hearty breakfast before joining him in the fields.
You whip up a batch of fluffy pancakes, fry some bacon, and brew a pot of strong coffee. Today is no different. You spot him coming up the path, his muscles rippling under the early morning sun, and you can't help but smile.
Sometimes, when he's working hard, he'll lift his shirt to wipe the sweat from his forehead, giving you a tantalizing view of his abs. On those particularly hot days, you make lemonade to bring him when his shirt inevitably comes off, just to see his appreciative (if reluctant) smile.
As Bakugou approaches, you open the door, greeting him with a bright smile. "Morning, Bakugou!" you call out, catching his attention. He looks up, surprise flickering across his face as he sees you approaching with the tray of food.
He grunts in response, holding out a basket filled with fresh vegetables. "Had too many again," he mutters, avoiding your eyes. "Figured you could use 'em."
"Thanks," you reply, accepting the basket. "Would you stay? I made pancakes.""Thought you might like some breakfast."
He hesitates for a moment looking over your features in the soft morning light. He sets down his tools and walks over, his expression softening just a bit. "You didn’t have to do that," he says, but you can see the appreciation in his eyes.
"I wanted to," you reply with a smile. "Besides, I figured you could use a good meal to start the day."
He pauses before nodding. "Fine, but just for a bit. Got work to do." He takes the tray from you and sets it on a nearby table. "Well, thanks," he mutters, his tone gruff but his eyes warm.
"Well don’t just stand there. Sit and eat with me."
You both settle down, and as you eat, you chat about the farm, your cottage, and everything in between. (The latest gossip from the village.) You cherish these moments, even if Bakugou pretends they're no big deal. His rough edges soften ever so slightly when he's around you, and you've come to appreciate the subtle ways he shows he cares.
For a guy with rough hands he does have good table manners.
After breakfast, Bakugou insists on washing the dishes and you insist on helping him with the chores. At first, he protests, but eventually, he relents, giving you a small smile. "Alright, but don’t expect me to go easy on you," he warns, throwing you a pair of gloves.
"I wouldn’t dream of it," you reply, pulling on the gloves and getting to work.
Throughout the day, you find yourself working side by side with Bakugou, his presence a comforting and steadying force. You help him with the crops, tend to the animals, and even manage to fix a broken fence. Despite the hard work, you find yourself laughing and joking with him, enjoying the easy camaraderie that has developed between you.
As it becomes midday, you both take a break, sitting on the porch and watching the skies in deep shades of blue and white. Bakugou hands you a cold drink, and you take it with a grateful smile. “Hey,I’ll be right back,” you decide to surprise Bakugou with a picnic. Having packed a basket with sandwiches, fruit, and, of course, a jug of lemonade, you make your way to your cottage knowing that he’ll follow close behind if you don't hurry.
Racing back, you now spot him near the barn, his shirt already discarded and tied around his waist. His skin glistens with sweat under the sun, and you can't help but admire the way his muscles ripple with each movement. Gathering your courage, you call out to him. "I'm back! Got a minute?”
He straightens up, wiping his brow with the back of his hand. "What now?" he asks, his tone a mix of curiosity and exasperation.
"I thought you might want to take a break," you say, holding up the picnic basket. "I brought lunch."
His eyes soften for a moment before he masks it with a scowl. "You didn't have to go through all that trouble," he mutters, but you can tell he's touched.
"It's no trouble at all," you reply, gently tiptoeing back on the path towards your cottage where there’s a blanket you've spread out on your oak porch. "Come on, take a break. You deserve it."
With a reluctant sigh, Bakugou drops whatever he’s working on and eventually joins you on the blanket. He plucks a sandwich from the basket and takes a bite, his eyes closing briefly in appreciation. "Not bad," he admits grudgingly.
"Pretty good, actually."
You smile, feeling a warmth spread through you at his compliment. "Glad you like it."
"You did good today," he says, his voice soft and sincere. "Didn’t think you had it in you."
You laugh, nudging him playfully. "Guess I surprised you then."
"Yeah, you did," he admits, looking at you with a warmth in his eyes that makes your heart skip a beat.
There’s a comfortable silence between you, and you find yourself leaning a little closer to him. "Bakugou, can I ask you something?" you say, breaking the quiet.
"Sure," he replies, turning to face you.
"Why do you come by every morning with food?" you ask, your voice soft and curious.
He looks away, a slight blush creeping up his cheeks. "Told you, I have too much," he mutters.
"But there’s more to it, isn’t there?" you press gently.
He sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, alright. Maybe there is," he admits. "I just... I like seeing you. Talking to you. Makes my day a little brighter."
Your heart swells at his words, and you reach out to take his hand. "I like seeing you too, Bakugou," you say softly. "More than you know."
He squeezes your hand, his grip warm and reassuring. "Guess we make a good team," he says, echoing your words from the previous day.
"Yeah, we do," you agree, smiling up at him.
Before the midday sun could make you feel any sleeper, you began to pack up the remains of your picnic. Bakugou helps you clean your porch again and mumbles something about having you over for dinner one night. After dishes, you’re back on your porch, staring up at the sky.
You’re perched on the white railing while Bakugou sits in your rocking chair, his hand resting gently on your back in a rare display of tenderness. You tease him about being worried for you, and he snarks back, "I just don’t want to hear your whining if you fall."
You try to shove him playfully, but your balance slips, and you end up tumbling backward into his lap. "OH! I-I’m sorry!" you exclaim, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Bakugou inhales sharply at the sudden impact but quickly adjusts you so you're nestled comfortably against his chest. "Dumbass," he mutters, his voice a mix of annoyance and concern. "I told you, you were going to fall."
Before you can stand up, he starts rocking the chair gently, his arms holding you securely. The unexpected intimacy sends a warm shiver down your spine, and you relax into his embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
For a while, the only sounds are the creaking of the rocking chair and the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze. Bakugou remains quiet, his gaze fixed on you, as if he's contemplating something deeply.
"Why do you do this?" he asks suddenly, his voice uncharacteristically soft. You looked up from where you began gently raking your nails down his muscular arms with one hand and playing with the thick fingers of his right hand to see his vermillion gaze fixed on you.
"Why do you keep feeding me?"
“How ironic.” You turn to look at him, his expression unreadable. "Because I care about you," you say simply. "And I like spending time with you."
He looks away, a hint of pink coloring his cheeks. "You're a real pain, you know that?"
You laugh, reaching out to give his hand a gentle squeeze. "Yeah, but you don't mind too much, do you?"
Bakugou's grip tightens on your hand for a moment before he lets go, standing up abruptly with you in his arms. "Come on," he says, setting you down into a standing position, his hands resting firmly on your waist. "I still got work to do."
“Mhm,” you nod and as you follow him back to the fields, you can't help but feel that something has shifted between you. And it’s not just that little spring in your tummy. As Bakugou resumes his work, you stay by his side, ready to lend a hand or simply enjoy his presence.
In the hours that follow, this new routine becomes your favorite part of the day. Whether you're helping him with a stubborn animal or sitting on his truck as he works on the engine, the time you spend with Bakugou is something you cherish. And though he grumbles and complains, you can see the softness in his eyes, the way his guard lowers just a little more each minute.
That evening, as the sun sets and paints the sky in hues of orange and pink, Bakugou walks you back to your cottage. The air is warm, filled with the scent of blooming flowers from your garden and the sounds of crickets beginning their nightly chorus.
"Thanks for today," you say softly as you reach your door. "I had a great time."
"Yeah, well," Bakugou mutters, scratching the back of his neck. "Don't get used to it."
You laugh, knowing that despite his words, he enjoys these moments as much as you do. "Goodnight, Bakugou."
“It’s Katsuki,” he corrects, his eyes shifting nervously to his pockets. You almost question him before realizing this is one of his tells—one of the ways he tries to cover up his anxiety. Placing your hands on his chest to get his attention, you find those sharp eyes focused on you again.
“Katsuki, I had a wonderful day with you. Thank you,” you say softly.
His face remains stoic as he analyzes you, from your head down to the boots you wore specifically for him today. He hesitates for a moment, his expression softening slightly, before leaning in and pressing a quick, awkward kiss to your cheek.
"Goodnight, [Name]," he mumbles, turning and walking away briskly before you can react.
As you watch him retreat, a warm feeling spreads through you. The day had been perfect, and despite his rough exterior, Katsuki had shown a side of him that few got to see. You touch your cheek where his lips had brushed, a smile tugging at your lips.
"Goodnight, Katsuki," you whisper to yourself, already looking forward to the next time.
Epilogue:
The warm afternoon sun bathed the fields in a golden glow as Bakugou trudged through the tall grass, baskets in hand. The Bakusquad had been insufferable all morning, teasing him relentlessly about his plan. They had even followed him, hiding in the tall grass to watch the spectacle unfold. He could hear their muffled giggles and whispers, and it took every ounce of his willpower not to turn back and scold them.
"Get a move on, Bakugou! We wanna see some action!" Kaminari's voice called out from somewhere behind a hay bale, followed by a chorus of snickers. “Yeah Lover-Boy, go get your lady!” Mina could be heard snickering behind the old oak tree in your yard.
“Come on man, the worst she could say is no.” Sero’s voice could also be heard nearby and it would have been comforting if it wasn’t filled with giggles.
"Shut the Fuck up," Bakugou grumbled under his breath, his cheeks flushing a light pink. Already feeling flustered, Katsuki wondered if it was too late to back out. But, knowing that the dumbasses he called friends wouldn’t let him out of this, he opted to continue his walk to your property line.
Seeing the familiar fence post of your yard, he took a deep breath and continued towards your cottage, his heart pounding hard in his chest.
As he approached, he saw you tending to your garden, your back to him. You were humming softly, completely oblivious to the spectacle about to unfold. Dressed in a strawberry colored sunhat and cute overalls that barely covered the swell of your ass when you bent over. Bakugou had to look away for a moment before you sat up again.
Looking back at you, he felt a surge of affection and determination. Taking one last breath, Bakugou squared his shoulders and marched forward, determined to make this moment special despite the peanut gallery hidden in the grass.
"Hey, [Name]" he called out, his voice gruff but tinged with something softer. You turned, a smile lighting up your face as you saw him.
"Hi, Katsuki! What brings you here?" you asked, wiping your hands on your apron and walking over to him.
He held out the two baskets, his heart racing. "I brought you something," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "In this basket, there are some flowers for you to plant in your garden. And in the other, more produce. Figured you could use it."
Your eyes lit up with delight as you took the baskets from him. "Katsuki, this is so thoughtful! Thank you!" you exclaimed, glancing at the vibrant flowers and the fresh vegetables.
He shifted awkwardly on his feet, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah, well, there's something else," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. He took a deep breath and looked you in the eyes, his expression serious.
"I, uh... I want you to be my girlfriend."
There was a moment of stunned silence, broken only by the rustling of the tall grass and the stifled giggles of his friends. Your eyes widened in surprise, and then a radiant smile spread across your face.
"Katsuki, I'd love to be your girlfriend," you said softly, stepping closer to him. "I care about you a lot."
He let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, a relieved smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Good," he said, his voice rough but warm. "Because I care about you too."
From the tall grass, the Bakusquad erupted in cheers and applause, popping up from their hiding spots. "Way to go, BakuBro!" Kirishima shouted, grinning from ear to ear.
"About time!" Mina added, clapping her hands. Kaminari and Sero were pulling her back into the hiding spot as Katsuki looked like he was about to throw his wrench at them, again.
Instead, he rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress the smile that spread across his face. Katsuki reached out, taking your hand in his, and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Come on, let's get these flowers planted," he said, his voice filled with affection.
"One thing though."
"Yeah?" Katsuki replied, raising an eyebrow.
Taking off your sunhat, you used it to shield both of you from the prying eyes of the Bakusquad still lurking nearby. Leaning in, you caught him off guard. He started to pull back instinctively, but you grabbed the cuff of his tank top and kissed the breath out of him. The world seemed to stop for a moment as your lips met his, a tender yet passionate exchange.
When you pulled away, you smiled sweetly as if nothing had just happened. "You missed last night," you teased, your voice a playful whisper.
A half-smile, half-smirk now rested on his face. "Damn, girl," he muttered, his voice low and rough with a hint of admiration.
"Come on, let's not keep the flowers waiting," you said, taking his hand and leading him to the garden.
As you both worked side by side, planting the flowers in neat rows, the Bakusquad's presence was forgotten. Katsuki's occasional gruff comments were softened by the way he would glance at you, his eyes filled with a rare gentleness.
"You know," he said after a while, his tone thoughtful, "I never thought I'd enjoy doing stuff like this."
You looked up from your work, meeting his gaze. "It's nice, isn't it? Doing something simple and peaceful together."
He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, it is."
The two of you continued planting, your hands occasionally brushing against each other, sharing quiet conversations and comfortable silences. The setting sun cast a warm, golden glow over the garden, making the moment feel almost magical.
When the last flower was in the ground, you both stood back to admire your work. Katsuki wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. "Looks good," he said, his voice filled with pride.
You leaned into him, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. "Yeah, it does. Thanks for helping, Katsuki."
He pressed a kiss to the top of your head, a rare and tender gesture. "Anytime," he murmured.
As you both stood back to admire your work, Katsuki couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. This was his life now—a mix of hard work, tender moments, and the support of good friends. And you both knew that this was just the beginning of a beautiful, blossoming love.
"Want some lemonade?"

minecraft doesnt need to be a fucking multimedia franchise, it doesn't even need anymore games than one, there's no fucking point to it, nobody gives a shit about minecraft dungeons, since when was the last time you saw someone go "oh wow, i cant wait for the next minecraft dungeons update" and there's even more minecraft spinoffs that nobody gives a shit about, i cant even remember the name of the latest one because it died so quickly
and now they're making a minecraft movie, and it's live action, which makes no sense but i guess making it animated wouldnt have a mainstream appeal and they need dat money from da masses. and they're having fucking jack black in it. and it's just. please. stop. you couldve made a movie about something original and interesting but instead you need to make a fucking minecraft movie.
i feel similarly about the mario movie and the fnaf movie but like, at least with those games it makes sense. mario games have plot even if simple, and fnaf has a plot even if it's a bad and confusing one. minecraft is a fucking sandbox game with no characters or plot going on unless you're matpat or something. it has fucking nothing. they're making a movie out of fucking nothing. they might as well be making a fucking live action tetris movie.
you know, it could be good. maybe id even like it. but even if it is, it's just so fucking unnecessary, they could've been making something original but nooooooo original is risky, we need a fucking minecraft movie to bring in those shiny fucking dollars to stuff down our fucking throats and choke on and die.
minecraft isn't designed to be anything other than a single fucking game, but because it's big and owned by microsoft it needs to be fucking everything. there needs to be a minecraft movie, and a minecraft show, and a minecraft branded pencil to stab my minecraft branded eyes out of my minecraft branded eyeholes so i dont have to see anymore fucking minecraft.
and to add to this, even if the minecraft movie is good, it's just such a fucking shame that it had to be minecraft and nothing else had any chance to be made. there's been lots of great movies that the big guys up top only allowed to be made because they're based on popular things. the lego movie for example, the barbie movie too. but it's just so fucking irritating that if any creative wants to actually make a good fucking movie they need to do it through this already popular thing. that's how shit like velma gets made. that show feels like an original show with scooby doo slapped on top of it to grab more attention.
everything needs to be appealing to the masses or it's not even seen as worthy of being made. the only movies worthy of being made and the only shows worthy of being renewed are the ones that ceos think will give them enough money to violently shove down their throat and fill their stomach with, fill their lungs with, fill every crevice of their shriveled old body with until every shit they take is hard and full of bloodsoaked gold coins, and every piss they take is shining gold, and every time they pick their nose they pick out gold.
there's just so little space for original works now.

Well, I think the writing's been on the wall for a while, but it's a very odd, bittersweet feeling seeing RT getting shuttered. I've grown to hate the company due to the YEARS of exploitative actions towards employees and their racist + sexist behavior, not to mention their transphobia and other bigotry that I am bound to be forgetting. I'm glad that the corporate level of this is being most likely closed.
However, a sudden closing like this means a lot of people's lives and homes are now in jeopardy, and my heart goes out to the employees. I hope that they're able to find jobs quickly, and that their new positions will treat them better than RT ever has. RT has taken many great talents and chewed them out, but that doesn't mean their talents and skills can't be appreciated in new environments, and that doesn't mean that this is fair to anyone who was working under them. I hope the best for them going forward.
As for RWBY... well, I've had mixed feelings about the show for a long damn time. I saw immense potential in the show, otherwise I would've never watched it, which I personally have felt has been squandered with poor writing over the years. I feel like that can absolutely be linked to the general treatment of employees--writers and animators alike--and though the future of RT's IPs and continuing shows is currently murky, I do hope that, if the shows return, they come back better and brighter despite years of fumbling.
When #GreenlightVolume10 started trending, I made the general statement that this would be ineffective. While fan presence can certainly be a factor in renewing a show, the guarantee of an audience is not often not enough to get a show budgeted. I doubt this post will reach many people but, if it does, I would implore people to take the time to look up who worked on which of your favorite episodes from RWBY and see if they're looking for work. Try to support them in this time, either by RT-ing resumes or through other means. RWBY would not exist without its animators, its story boarders, its technical lighting crew, literally any part of the actual crew. Use that same energy you did tweeting that hashtag and put it into supporting employees who learned today, just like the rest of us, that they're out of a job.
This is a sad thing, but RT had a hell of a run. I can only hope things get better moving forward for everyone impacted.
