TWISTober Day 6: Broomquet Birthday
(Feat. Lázaro )
Argemone Ochroleuca, Violas, Marigolds, and Tithonia Diversifolia. These all made up the bouquet of one Lázaro Muertinez. Bedecked in blue robes and large hat, he pranced through Ignihyde on a birthday high. In his dorm's lounge, the party had already began. Music blared, dormmates chatted up a storm, and the smell of anise and orange wafted over all else. Blue draped from every corner that would allow, but in stark contrast, the bright marigold yellow truly was what designated this party as Laz's. Tradition said to have a cake present, but per the third year's request, everyone else could have cake. He was more interested in that pan de muerte off to the side.
Ortho zoomed up to the birthday boy the moment he arrived, ever the warm welcoming committee.
"Lázaro Muertinez! You've arrived!" the small mechanical boy declared. "Are you all dressed and ready for your interview?"
"Muy guapo, eh?" Laz asked, giving a moment for his dormmate to drink in his visage with a smirk. "Whenever you're ready, Arthurito."
"Okay! First Question: Do you consider yourself Good or Bad at flying?" Ortho asked.
"I'd like to think I'm not half bad; better than a lotta the fishy folk I have class with!" Laz beamed.
"Speaking of: Next question is 'What is your best class'?"
"You know me, hermano: Music is my life! Can you blame me for wanting to get an easy A on my last year before internships?"
"You also are a part of the Pop Music Club, right?"
"You bet! I feel bad for lil Kalito; he's gonna be the only one left when Cater, me and Lilia take off, next year..."
"Yeah, Brother's taking off next year too. I wonder if I ought to go with him or if he wants me to stay..."
"You'll have to let me know what you decide next year. I might be taking off but I ain't gone! We can still keep in touch, right?"
"Hmhm, Yep!" Ortho cheered. "Last question, then, 'What do you do on your down-time?'."
"Kinda going back to the second question on that one, Arthurito. Gotta keep my playing sharp for when I make it big! You'll stop by one of my shows when I get out there, won't you?" Lázaro asked with a somber hopefulness.
"Of course! I'll see if Brother would be able to show me how to do one of those wotagei dances for when we go!" Ortho nodded.
"Then I better remember to get a stash of glowsticks!" Laz chuckled.
"With that, though, the interview is over. And here I present: your broom, Lázaro Muertinez," Ortho declared.
"Thanks, hermano," Laz said.
He let his eyes wander across the device to admire the handiwork. Ignihyde blue ribbon, bright yellow and orange blooms accented with pops of purple, and a sturdy dark wood stick. He lent it against his shoulder to get a couple photos in as some of the party-goers ushered him deeper into the lounge. In a flourish, the celebrators revealed a large Ignihyde piñata. The third year's marigold eyes shone with anticipation. One of his dormmates snuck up and yanked the birthday boy's hat down over his eyes. Instead of readjusting it, his brain suddenly found another purpose for his newly-appointed broom. Turning it over so the blooms wouldn't take the brunt, Laz drew his broom back in a mighty wind-up.
"Let's get this party started!"

gusto and Garlic The combination of gusto and garlic is a chief in Indian cookery, and it plays a pivotal part in biryani paste as well. These two constituents bring a unique depth of flavor and contribute to the overall uproariousness of the dish.
Onions Caramelized onions are frequently included in biryani paste to add agreeableness and enhance the complexity of the flavors. They give a savory base for the dish and help bind all the constituents together.
Yogurt Yogurt is a common component in biryani paste, as it acts as a natural tenderizer for the meat. It also lends a delicate texture and a slight tanginess to the dish, balancing out the spiciness.
Now that we have explored the essential constituents, let's claw into the ways involved in creating a perfect biryani paste.
Dry riding Sot riding the whole spices before grinding them releases their essential biryani paste canvases and enhances their flavors. toast a visage on low heat and gently rally the spices until they come sweet. Be conservative not to burn them, as it can affect in a bitter taste.
Grinding Once the spices have been dry roasted, allow them to cool and also grind them into a fine greasepaint. You can use a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder for this purpose. This step ensures that the flavors are unevenly distributed throughout the paste.
Sautéing In a separate visage, sauté the onions until they turn golden brown. This caramelization process adds depth and agreeableness to the paste. Add gusto, garlic, and diced sauces to the visage and cook until they release their aromas.
Blending Combine the ground spices with the sautéed onions, gusto, garlic, and sauces. Add yogurt to the admixture and blend it into a smooth paste. The yogurt not only adds creaminess but also helps to bind the constituents together.

Once your biryani paste is ready, you can use it to marinate your choice of meat or vegetables. Allow the flavors to immingle together by chilling the marinated constituents for a many hour or overnight. When you are ready to cook, subcaste the marinated constituents with coddled rice and cook the biryani in a sealed pot or pressure cooker. The result will be an ambrosial, scrumptious, and infectious biryani that will leave your taste kids in admiration.

Falling For One’s Own Tricks-Drabble
Another town decimated, more lives displaced, more lives lost. The casualties today had been far less than the weeks and months before this. It seemed the Resistance had finally started to take his pre-emptive warnings to prepare seriously, Cataclysm never one to just appear and attack.
He always let them know before hand, with a few days leeway to allow as many civilians to flee as possible. More notably, the children. Even as he was now, he refused to harm a child unless his hand was forced, and even then, it would take a great deal to convince him it was necessary. No, in the off chance that he did happen upon a child, if the destruction hadn’t been enough to frighten them away, he chased them off with terrifying visages of monsters and nightmares via his tangible illusions.
The prolonged battle and day’s events had worn the jackal ragged, and after forgoing sleep for well over a week now, he was in dire need or rest, Ruby or no. After bidding the Doctor farewell, he had opened a portal, and descended into his haven, Null Space, the darkness embracing him like a vice. When the vortex of a portal was sealed behind him, only then did he shed his attire, the mask, gloves, and boots disintegrating into a flurry of softly glowing cubes.
The world about him morphed, twisted, and then expanded, grass meeting his toes as he lowered himself from where he levitated. Casual clothing flickered into existence, adorning his body borne of his desire for it. A long sleeved off-white shirt, and a comfortable pair of loose-fitting, dark grey cotton trousers. Fingers lifted to pinch the bridge between his eyes, rubbing as his feet carried him along the familiar path toward a seemingly innocent cottage bordering the edge of a forest.
Here, he was free to do as he pleased. Here, there were no eyes to judge him, no ears to listen to his uneven breaths, no one to call him ‘weak’. The door of the cottage was opened with clawed fingers, Cataclysm stepping inside, the scent of anise and cloves washing over him. Nostalgic. It always had been ‘Nym’s’ favorite scent, even though ‘Zero’ had always complained it bothered his overly sensitive nose.
As he made his way to the bedroom, there was already a figure seated atop the mattress, a jackal reading a book on some new martial arts skillset, golden hues averting the book to meet with Cataclysms orbs of amber and crystal blue. The jackal atop the bed had shorter, almost blonde locks, where Clysm’s were a near stark white. A scar was seated just above the other males nose. He wore that familiar green bandana. Chaos, he never took that thing off.
“So, you’re finally home, Zero?” The name was garbled, a name that Cataclysm refused to remember, even here, even now. Remembering that name would surely break the illusion and cast him into a tumultuous cacophony of spiraling depression and yearning, for something he could never have again. Closing the space between himself and the jackal on the bed, Clysm climbed in, sighing softly as he moved to rest a head in the others lap, effectively taking up the place the book had just been and shooting the other an exhausted yet fond look.
“It was a long day, Nym. May we just rest tonight?” The other jackal chuckled softly, his voice light and airy, if a bit cocksure, brows waggling suggestively. “You sure sleepin’s all you wanna do?” It seemed even in this façade of a life, his mate was just as annoying, just as irritating. Funny how what once would have aggravated Cataclysm to no end, now only hurt.
“Though I’ll admit, ya do seem beat. So, you rest up. I wanna finish this book, alright?” The other jackal, Nym returned to his book, while fingers began to card idly through the long tresses of Clysm’s hair, only leaving once every so often to turn a page. Heterochromatic orbs had already grown heavy with exhaustion, his lids half mast. He feared the nightmares that lingered just on the horizon, but more than that, he was reluctant to leave this illusion so soon.
Nym’s voice sounded once more, quieter this time, almost saddened. “You know...you can’t keep doing this right?” There was the faintest flicker of pain to glaze Clysm’s eyes, his heart aching, a shudder of a breath exhaled from between clenched fangs, his jaw tightening. How annoying, that even in this illusion, his lover happened to be the voice of reason still. “I know.” He would deny until his dying breath the way his voice had cracked in the middle of the admittance. “Just...let me stay here a little longer."
“You are one of the strongest men I know. I told you this the day I saved your life. You never would have caught my eye had you not been strong. It still holds true now.” There was a pause, an elongated silence, and then; “But...eventually, you have to let us go. The team, me... You know this. I can’t say or do anything that you don’t will into existence yourself.” Another page was turned, yet eyes weren’t reading the words. Even borne of his own mind, Nym felt as real as if he were actually there in the room. He was warm, soft, firm, exactly how Clysm remembered him.
“If I let the others go...If I let you go...I would have nothing left.”
“I don’t think you believe that.”
Rolling onto his back to stare up at his deceased mate, his other half, Clysm’s smile was broken, as shattered as his heart. His heterochromatic orbs filled with unshed tears, refusing to let them spill over. “Let me live this lie, just a little longer. Soon, everything will fall into place. Soon, my final act shall be put into motion. And soon, I’ll finally be able to join you and the others. But for now...allow me this moment of weakness.”
Sleep was encroaching fast, and despite his best effort, a tear had managed to fall free as those clawed digits continued to comb though his hair. But the next words would be seared into his memory for months to come.
“Is that really what you want, Zero?”

@of-elitiism sent a letter
[ Marcus ] A pinch of cloves, one of anise, beads of black pepper and the peel of an apple, all fall from his hands and plop into the boiling pot below. No, the witchy woman hadn't gracefully taken him as an apprentice, despite the fact that one could argue preparing mulled wine is quite alchemic in its nature. From the sweet fruit on the vine to the inky red concoction simmering with spices, it's a full transmutation, was it not? Though arguably not as grand as the ones she might be capable of, Marcus is still quite pleased that she'd let him meddle with her pots and herbs on this special little evening.
It's not long before he turns towards her, a mug in each hand and a smile on his lips. The chambers filled with the aroma of cinnamon sticks and brown sugar, a rare resource around these parts that he'd hoarded for a while and finally used to enrich this experience. He has no lavish gifts to offer, only a small statuette he'd carved out of oak of a perched crow for her desk and, of course, his humble company as they enjoy Christmas night together. The mugs set down, Marcus takes the seat across from her and leans forward, elbows on the table. Tentatively, his hand covers her and strokes the back of her palm as he sips his wine.
"...Merry holidays, Qistina."
Tumblr media
 -  🜛  - When he had made the suggestion of brewing the pair of them some wine for the christmas evening, she was equal parts suspecting and inquisitive. Nearly hovering over his shoulder as he commandeered her kitchen, smiling coyly when he delicately shifted his body so that she may closely observe his fine work. Centuries had passed since last able to allow for another to handle the preparation of foods, every passing day for the last six hundred years  -  nearly forgetting entirely what it was like to sit and wait for the meal to be sat in front of the plate.
Not until the concoction had begun to waft throughout the room with its tempting scents of peppers and cinnamon had she been struck with the realization of what he was making. Eyes now bursting with high anticipation for what she was about to taste! But she is at least patient enough to return to her seat, back straight and palms flat against the wooden dinner table.
A smile shines warmly from the ancient face, thinking back on the morning they'd shared alone together. First his beautifully carved gift that so perfectly resembled Poe, and now wine? Hand brewed wine. . .? The last time she had tasted anything remotely similar to alcohol had been out of the rucksacks of strangers and utterly foul  -  but this? But this had been something brewed straight from the heart.
Marcus sat right across from her and began to stroke her hand, and she could feel her body shiver. Her first christmas with another person. A special somebody for whom she would not trade for anything.
Tumblr media
            “ M, merry holidays, Marcus. ”
the deep stare of ruby treasure troves blinks slow 'tween his worn hands to his ruggedly handsome visage ; and how she wished to lean forward to KISS him! But later, perhaps? Later might she find this surge of courageousness when the lights were near faded to darkness, to thank him when simply the  ' word '  itself of  ' thank you '  was not enough? The moment he'd spoken her name, she set down her wine to reach out for his hand, holding his with both of hers.
"  I have not had a christmas with another person in five hundred years. You have, truly, made this day special. And. . . the wine is delectable. You will have to come by and make even more. . . maybe, I too could make something for you. Later this evening? If you would like to extend your visit a bit longer? "

Smouldering Desire
Tumblr media
By  BY ALISE MARIE
Facial Masque Yields 3 treatments
1/4 C besan (chickpea flour) 3 whole star anise ¼ cup spring water 1 tsp. pumpkin seed oil
Begin by removing the star anise seeds from the pods. Place the seeds in a mortar, and grind them open with a pestle just enough to release the oils. Transfer them to a ceramic or glass bowl. Next, warm the water on the stove until it is hot, but not boiling. Pour the water into the crushed seeds, and let them steep for at least 30 minutes. Strain. Spoon the besan in to a separate bowl, and add the cooled star anise tea, a little at a time, until you have a thin paste. Now drizzle in the pumpkin seed oil, and stir gently until well blended.
Apply a thin layer to a freshly cleansed face, neck, and décolleté, massaging in a circular motion, gently exfoliating the skin. Leave the masque on for 10-20 minutes, then remove with a warm cloth. Rinse well with cool splashes of water, and pat dry. Follow with your toning mist and beauty oil as needed. This facial is a fabulously sexy New Moon potion, but feel free to use it again during the Waxing phase as you like. Infused with seasonal pumpkin, and Jupiter-ruled star anise, it is well-suited to bringing all good things to you, especially in Autumn!
Beauty Witch Tip: This recipe makes enough for three facials – the magic three – so share some during a little witchy spa party, or use it three nights in a row during the budding Moon to further beckon positive energies.
Besan is one of my all-time most beloved Beauty Witch ingredients (as many of you know!) that I return to as a masque base constantly. Why? Because it simply outshines all others. Inexpensive and madly effective, this ancient beautifying flour lifts dead surface skin while infusing nutritive oils, leaving you with an incredibly soft, well-polished visage, and a stunning glow. As an exfoliant, it is gentle enough for all skin types, and can be used 3 times per week.
Star Anise is a madly pretty powerhouse. Long associated with aiding psychic awareness and bringing luck, it also does wonders for your skin. Potent, fragrant compounds help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles while firming and repairing damaged skin, simultaneously keeping breakouts at bay. Now that’s what I call a witch’s best friend!
Pumpkin Seed Oil is amazing for both keeping the skin healthy and moisturised, via its essential fatty acids and high antioxidant content, including vitamin E, which helps to protect from environmental stressors. It also does wonders for both sensitive and acne-prone skin by maintaining a healthy oil balance. Ruled by the Moon, pumpkin attracts money and assists healing, so keep this with you while you are creating your potion, and applying it with love to your face.

Tumblr media
Ingrédients :
Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Mica, Propanediol, CI 77891, Vitis Vinifera Leaf Extract, CI 77491, Levulinic Acid, p-Anisic Acid, Sclerotium Gum, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitan Isostearate, Sodium Levulinate, Aesculus Hippocastanum Seed Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Parfum, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Sodium Salicylate, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Galactaric Acid, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Linalool, Limonene, Amber Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate
Mon avis :
Conclusion :

Soin Jour Hydratation & Douceur HELIAGREEN
Composition :
Water (Aqua), C15-19 Alkane, Dicaprylyl Ether, Propanediol, Glycerin, Arachidyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Lauroyl Lysine, Behenyl Alcohol, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sodium Levulinate, Carbomer, Cetearyl Alcohol, Kaolin, Arachidyl Glucoside, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Anisate, Sodium Hydroxide, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Phytic Acid, Tocopherol, Padina Pavonica Thallus Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil.
Mon avis:

Composition : Aqua, Zinc Oxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Domestica Seed oil, Glycerin, Coconut Alkanes, Glyceryl Stearate / Cetearyl Alcohol / Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Diaminohexyl Trihydroxybenzamide HCl (Lygalamine), Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Sodium Levulinate / Sodium Anisate, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Polyhydroxy stearic acid, Xanthan Gum.

Composition : CITRUS LIMON (lemon) FRUIT WATER *, GLYCERIN, PINUS PINASTER (pine) SEED OIL *, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, CAMELINA SATIVA (camelina) SEED OIL *, COCO-CAPRYLATE, AQUA (water), HYDROGENATED OLIVE OIL (olive) STEARYL ESTERS, OLIVE OIL (olive) DECYL ESTERS, CETEARYL GLUCOSIDE, HELICHRYSUM STOECHAS (immortelle) FLOWER EXTRACT *, ERYNGIUM MARITIMUM (sea holly) EXTRACT *, GYNOSTEMMA PENTAPHYLLUM LEAF/STEM EXTRACT, CISTUS INCANUS (cistus) FLOWER/LEAF/STEM EXTRACT, CARDIOSPERMUM HALICACABUM FLOWER/LEAF/VINE EXTRACT, AMMOPHILA ARENARIA (marram grass) ROOT EXTRACT *, ULEX EUROPAEUS (gorse) LEAF/ROOT/STEM EXTRACT, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (sunflower) SEED OIL UNSAPONIFIABLES, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (sunflower) SEED OIL, ROSMARINUS OFFICINALIS (rosemary) LEAF EXTRACT, RIBES NIGRUM (black currant) SEED OIL, PARFUM (natural fragrance), OCTYLDODECANOL, SODIUM LEVULINATE, SODIUM ANISATE, SQUALENE, XANTHAN GUM, CITRIC ACID, GLUCOSE, TOCOPHEROL, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, GLUTAMINE, PHENETHYL ALCOHOL, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, EUGENOL
Composition: AQUA (water), LAURYL GLUCOSIDE, COCO GLUCOSIDE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, PARFUM (natural), MYRISTYL LACTATE, CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA (bitter orange), FLOWER WATER *, MIMOSA TENUIFLORA (mimosa) BARK EXTRACT *, HYDROLYZED WHEAT (blé) PROTEIN, ALOE BARBADENSIS (aloe vera) LEAF EXTRACT *, PINUS PINASTER (pine) SEED OIL *, PINUS PINASTER (pine) LEAF/TWIG OIL, MARIS SAL (sea salt), SODIUM CHLORIDE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, SODIUM BENZOATE, LIMONENE **, LINALOOL **, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE

COMPOSITION : AQUA (WATER), CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PROPANEDIOL, PRUNUS ARMENIACA (APRICOT) KERNEL OIL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN, GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE, MYRISTYL MYRISTATE, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), MIEL (HONEY)*, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, XANTHAN GUM, TOCOPHEROL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE POWDER*, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFOWER) SEED OIL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), SODIUM HYDROXIDE, CITRIC ACID, ACETYLCEDRENE

MON AVIS : BENZYL ALCOHOL  : agent conservateur antimicrobien.
COMPOSITION : AQUA (WATER), COCONUT ALKANES, ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, GLYCERIN COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, PRUNUS ARMENIACA (APRICOT) KERNEL OIL, CAMELLIA JAPONICA SEED OIL, CALENDULA OFFICINALIS (MARIGOLD) FLOWER EXCTRACT*, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM LEVULINATE, BETAINE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM ANISATE, CITRIC ACID, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL, ACETYLCEDRENE

COMPOSITION : AQUA (WATER), CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, GLYCERIN, GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, MYRISTYL MYRISTATE, CAMELLIA JAPONICA SEED OIL, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), ALLANTOIN, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, XANTHAN GUM, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), SODIUM HYDROXIDE, CITRIC ACID, ACETYLCEDRENE

  VERNIS
