Sagas como "Mamma Mia" o "Mission Impossible" dominan los próximos estrenos

Madrid, 30 jul (EFE).- Llega el verano en el hemisferio norte y con el las sagas cinematográficas, como "Mamma mia", "Mission Impossible" o "Ant Man", pero también queda algo de espacio para el cine más independiente, de autores como Gus Van Sant o Pablo Trapero. El éxito de la recién estrenada "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" anticipa un verano lleno de secuelas y precuelas, como "Ant-Man and the Wasp", en la que Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) deberá compaginar su faceta de superhéroe con la de padre, con la ayuda de Wasp (Evangeline Lily). Será uno de los primeros estrenos de julio, un mes en el que llegará "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" la segunda y esperadísima parte del musical sobre la vida de Dona (Meryl Streep) edulcorado con las canciones de ABBA. Repite casi todo el reparto original, desde Streep a Pierce Brosnan, pasando por Colin Firth o Amanda Seyfried, a los que se unen Lily James, como una Dona joven, o Cher como su madre, porque lo que cuenta esta secuela es cómo la protagonista llegó a la isla griega de Kalokairi. Otra secuela, y van seis, es la "Mission Impossible". Al infatigable Tom Cruise se unen ahora Henry Cavill y Angela Bassett en "Fallout", que llega a las salas a finales de julio, bajo la dirección de Christopher McQuarrie y de nuevo con las peligrosas misiones internacionales contrarreloj del agente Hunt. Y Antoine Fuqua se reúne de nuevo con Denzel Washington en "The Equalizer 2", que cuenta con la participación del chileno Pedro Pascual, conocido por "Narcos" o "Game of Thrones". El aluvión de sagas se completa con "The First Purge" o con los monstruos animados de "Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation", mientras que "Teen Titans Go" promete convertirse en la primera entrega de muchas con su adaptación animada de una popular serie televisiva de superhéroes. El poco margen al cine de autor e independiente de julio se centra en Gus van Sant, que estrenará "Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot", su biopic del viñetista John Callahan, interpretado por Joaquim Phoenix, y en "Puzzle", una adaptación de la argentina "Rompecabezas", de Natalia Smirnoff. Ya en agosto el menú incluye además raciones comedia, con Mila Kunis y Kate McKinnon en "The Spy Who Dumped Me" o la delirante e incorrecta "The Happytime Murders", en la que Melissa McCarthy y Elizabeth Banks descubren lo que hacen los teleñecos cuando no están rodando el famoso show televisivo. O filmes inclasificables, como "BlacKkKlansman", en la que Spike Lee critica el Ku Klux Klan desde el humor más absurdo, con Adam Driver y John David Washington como protagonistas. Los más pequeños disfrutaran con una producción de Disney que adapta las historias de Winnie-the Pooh, "Christopher Robin", con Ewan McGregor a la cabeza. Y también habrá un "remake" de un clásico "Papillon", que adapta de nuevo la novela de Dalton Trumbo sobre los planes de huida de una prisión de un hombre injustamente condenado. Charlie Hunnam sustituye a Steve McQueen como protagonista. Un mes de agosto que se cerrará con el estreno, en Argentina, del nuevo trabajo de Pablo Trapero, "La quietud", que cuenta en su reparto con Edgar Ramírez, Bérénice Bejo, Joaquín Furriel y Martina Gusman. La acción de "Mile 22", con Mark Wahlberg y John Malkovich; la intriga histórica de "The Little Stranger", con Ruth Wilson ("The Affair" o la terrorífica "The nun" acompañarán al espectador al comienzo de septiembre. Un mes en el que llegarán lo nuevo de Johnny Depp ("City of Lies"); la cuarta entrega de "The Predator"; el thriller "A Simple Favor", con Blake Lively y Anna Kendrick; la biografía de Colette interpretada por Keira Knightley o el documental "American Chaos", un recorrido por la división entre republicanos y demócratas en Estados Unidos. Así como "Boy Erased", el segundo largometraje como director del actor australiano Joel Edgerton tras su prometedor debut con la inquietante "The Gift". Muchos títulos a los que se unirán en el último trimestre del año y como ya es tradicional, los estrenos de las películas que más apuesten por ser candidatos a los Óscar. EFE
