When and why did you become a tradfem?

I don't remember of a particular moment or reason. The personality that is associated with tradfems was who I was since I was a child. I always loved caring of the home, cooking, cleaning, minding children, I was your typical girly girl that loved dresses and hairstyling and skincare, and I was always very much more inclined to a simple lifestyle, living in the countryside, doing things from scratch, not caring the famous and popular. When "Mori Kei" was popular, I identified as a Mori girl and started a Tumblr back then 🤭 All the way through high school and college, I was the ultimate girly girl, I would say I would marry and become a SAHM. Back then, I don't know if tradfems circles were already a thing online (Certainly not as visible as today at least) so I was very much alone in my vision of things but I had very understanding friends who would say how, considering my personality, that was the most fitting, I was made for this lifestyle, though back then both them and myself thought it was an unreachable dream. But dreaming is good for the mind 🤗

I did force myself to change this behavior/personality in early adult years as it was not fitting with my work at the moment and I thought I was the one who had to change. Eventually, I decided I would change my job and reverted back to my values and liking, and decided I was ready to focus on my search for my husband.

My dream came true in the end 🥰

My daily life right now is a blessing. My husband is an amazing person, our personalities fit together so well, both in our similarities and differences, and I found even more joy in homemaking than I thought I would.

A fun fact is that my husband has never used words like tradfem, traditional husband, provider, etc... He doesn't actually know much about this whole terminology. Yet he fits exactly what a tradfem would want for a husband, he provides for the family and has a strong sense of work ethic, he's ready to work countless hours for the sake of his family, he's very responsible and caring. He is also very much into living a simple life doing most by ourselves, creating a big family with good moral values.

I don't think becoming a homemaker is for every woman, I don't look down on women that aren't traditional. I am so blessed to be able to live the life I was yearning for and I pray that all can get their own dream life come true 🤍

Modern Anna's Christmas guilty pleasures are listening to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra's carols, hot chocolate, decorating the house.

With young Cicero and her own children, she even makes and decorates gingerbread houses.

Bonus: Caleb's the one most likely volunteered to dress up as Santa. Anna cautions him to use his BEST CHURCH lexicon in front of the babies. Tallmadge and Abe are both volunteered to play elves, if ONLY to keep an eye on Caleb.

By now I'm back from my first trip and my next is already close! The time has been so incredibly enriching and transforming for me. I learned a bit more about myself and God while in Israel. I met lots of dear friends there who I grew very fond of and saw and experienced so many incredible things that I will forever cherish 🌅 For me, the bible became more alive there. Now I'm soon heading to italy.

Furthermore, you are very welcome! I'm indescribably thankful and grateful that my art and what I do is so much loved. It's been my goal to share my passions with likeminded souls and being able to make others happy with something I love doing is a pleasure!

It's also very VERY relaxing to for once not feel the pressure to post anything really. Not to sit down and write and write or draw and draw, just to be productive. Even if I say I take my time with everything I do, it's easy to slip back into that routined mindset, that tells you that you have to do something. But all of you, here and on insta, have been nothing but sweet, supportive, understanding and patient and I can't thank you enough for that! It's a relief to find myself in a fandom/community who isn't just nontoxic but also accepting of my privacy and personal faith. You are awesome!

As for my art and the book. Did I mention I somewhat regretted posting my first and second drafts? I'm still grateful though you guys loved and devoured it like a piece of tart while me was sitting behind the screen cringing harder than life. Yikes

Yeah .... every more matured and expierenced author would have told me that this wasn't the bestest idea. Because and especially because ideas change, character developement happens, plotlines change, even the minor ones, you views and opinions also either change or deepen AND last but not least, the writing itself! You improve and you learn things along the way. And then I went, "Why the heck did I post that? It's raw, like uncooked meat!" The second thing is slightly fried here and there but still raw inside. I'm still constantly seasoning the story-steak, slide it left and right and flip it once in a while. And all you got so far is a little sniff and a little taste test. It's not a finished meal just yet and it won't be for a good while. That doesn't mean you won't be able to read it though. Just keep in mind, that whatever does come isn't the solid finished vers.

Anyway! I've been leaving the other chapters behind and pondered mostly about Ernesto and his storyline in my book. Honestly, sometimes I'm still surprised how much I ended up loving this character and how much fun it brings me to continue his story, shed light and develope his background and also continue establishing him where the original authors stopped. Now I start to understand why books and movies sometimes/oftentimes take several years!

Also, some of you have been asking me about Héctor's and Imeldas parents. Yes, you'll be introduced to them before you'll read about them. I guess that will make understanding them much easier and you'll also have faces.

As to Arlo and Estella, you'll be able to read a whole part of their past and at the same time learn everything about Héctor's early childhood. This gif portraits them just perfect! Also the resemblance! Excuse me?

Carlo and Maria Rivera will be more present in chapter 10? I believe? And you'll also read about them in the land of the dead soon. There, you'll find the explanation to Carlo's behavior if the upcoming character sheet won't already do that.

1. Are you named after anyone?

Nope, my name is so unique that I've never even met somebody who has the same name as I do.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Probably just a few days ago ... I cry a lot when I'm stressed or very anxious. I'm currently studying for my exams, so it's a constant stage of being on the verge of crying to relief some stress.

3. Do you have kids?

Oh gosh no, I feel too young and immature for that. But I am getting married next year, so who knows what the future might bring? I can't imagine having kids yet, but I have no idea how future me thinks.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Yes, to the point where my general tone sounds sarcastic and people think I am being sarcastic when I'm actually serious, which is annoying for everyone involved in a conversation with me.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Their eyes (You know, window to the soul) and then their hands (Do they work with their hands? Are their hands rough, soft, pretty, moisturized?).

6. What’s your eye colour?

Brown is the short answer, but let me be poetic about it because I am a writer and brown eyes deserve better descriptions:

"When the sunlight hits my eyes directly, they shine light brown with golden specks like forest honey. On cloudy days, they are hazelnut or chestnut brown, like a beautiful walk in the forest. When the light is dim, my eyes seem dark brown like melted chocolate."

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

I can't watch scary movies, I get easily spooked, and every jump scare makes me scream so loud the neighbours might call the police. But I'm not a big fan of happy endings either, I like bittersweet endings that make you swoon and mourn at the same time.

8. Any special talents?

Err not that I can think of? Does being neurodivergent count? I mean being able to recognize patterns, see little details others miss, daydream a whole book, feeling connected to the universe, think nonlinear and in many circles about 5 different topics simultaneously, talk for hours with a good friend about everything all at once. Though sometimes, all this feels more like a curse rather than special talents.

9. Where were you born?

In the most beautiful city of the world: Munich!

10. What are your hobbies?

Oh I've got too many hobbies, but they are all about getting creative and creating something. Writing poetry, short stories and rarely my ya fantasy novel, painting with watercolour or acrylics, crocheting useful stuff or stuffed animals, making jewellery, collecting stuff (sea shells, gem stones, etc.) and use it as room decoration. I don't know if designing stuff counts since it's my field of study and work, but I also like to design as a hobby. Should I show more of my creations on my tumblr blog?

Hello i couldn't help but notice that u offered urself up as a resource for info abt N24 (sorry if i got that wrong, feel free to ignore this.) So as someone who very recently found out abt it and also probably has it, do u have any resources? Links or articles or anything for me to look at? Anything you could/want to share abt it??

Hey! Yes, I'm happy to write about my experience with N24. (It's not fun, but it's reality for many people.) The sad thing is that I don't actually have many online resources as far as articles and such. A quick internet search showed me Non-24-Hour Sleep Wake Disorder: Definition and Causes | Sleep Foundation which seemed to be a good overview (more articles linked at the bottom of the page). It's very clear that there hasn't been enough research done in a practical sense, though. Treatment options are few, and there aren't any that are at all flexible. Which, I'll just say it, sucks.

For me personally, my N24 is pretty severe, with my days lasting about 30 hours or such, so that I'm awake for something like 20 hours at a time. None of the treatment options presented to me (melatonin and/or light therapy) were effective (I have unusual environmental factors against me, though). That doesn't mean you shouldn't try them, IMHO - but I would caution you against accepting whatever sedatives doctors are handing out these days. If that's their initial reaction/treatment advise, ask them if that medication is approved and tested effective for long term usage. (It won't be - if I'm wrong, lmk, because I'd like to be wrong.)

Lastly, I'll tell you a bit about how I got my diagnosis. The biggest factor was a comprehensive sleep diary. Sometimes they'll ask you to do a sleep study as well, to rule out other sleep disorders. A sleep diary is crucial in helping the specialist evaluate the progressive time changes in your sleep patterns. I recommend getting a low-cost sports watch (with a small profile so it's comfortable to sleep in) if you don't already have one. That was a huge help to me when I was documenting my sleep patterns.

I hope that helps! I wish I could give you better news, but I do believe it's preferable to know what you're dealing with than to not - even if it's not something with an easy fix. Let me know if you have any other questions - I am not a sleep doctor or physician, but I can speak to the realities of living with N24. If I can help others at all, I like to. Good luck!

Oh my gosh, I hadn't realized how long it has been since I last updated this blog! Please, take this screenshot as a gift to make up for my lack of communication!

I got some good feedback from my testers, and as a result, I've tried to clarify some things in the dialogue, and fixed some really embarrassing typos, (including one within the first three minutes of gameplay which had somehow slipped past the eyes of not only myself, but also four other playtesters.) Current word count: 49,508

It legitimately surprises me every time someone reaches out to me about this game or interacts with this blog, expressing interest in the project. No matter how much time I spend working on the project, it still feels like I'm tricking all of you into thinking my game is worthy of your time. :P While I've been adding scenes, the single most interesting segment I've added to the game is the somewhat-tricky-to-unlock ending in which the player character has her first kiss. (At least, I suspect that is what will be the most interesting part for most of the people following this blog. I actually prefer the scene with the fighter jet, but that's because I'm weird.)
