Danielle Nicolet (Cecile), Jessica Parker Kennedy (Nora), and Hartley Sawyer (Ralph) have been promoted to series regulars.

Jul 21- Chris Klein (American Pie) as Cicada, a grizzled, blue-collar everyman whose family has been torn apart by metahumans. Cicada now seeks to exterminate the epidemic — one metahuman at a time.

Aug 9- Kiana Madeira (Sacred Lies) as Spencer Young, aka Spin, a young aspiring social media influencer who seizes the opportunity to make herself famous when she discovers there is a new hero in Central City. This recurring character will be introduced in episode #504, and is a genderbend of the existing DC comics character, Auerbach.

Aug 24- Troy James (America’s Got Talent) will guest star as Peter Merkel, aka the contortionist supervillain Rag Doll. Not pictured below.

Jesse Rath (Brainy) has been promoted to series regular.

Jul 17- Sam Witwer (Being Human) as Agent Liberty (Ben Lockwood), the charismatic — and, of course, deeply evil — founder of Children of Liberty, an anti-alien hate group dedicated to establishing humans as the superior race. He conceals his vile nature in the guise of a family man, making it all the more difficult to take him down.

Jul 21- Nicole Maines (Royal Pains) as Nia Nal, the newest addition to the CatCo reporting team. A soulful young transgender woman with a fierce drive to protect others, Nia’s journey this season means fulfilling her destiny as the superhero Dreamer.

April Parker Jones (Jericho) as Colonel Haley, a hardline career military woman who lives and dies by the orders of her commanding officers. Dedicated to her country, she always acts in its best interest — even if it’s not her own.

David Ajala (Dr. Who) as Manchester Black, the type of guy who brings a knife to a gunfight and still walks away the winner. With a dark past, he easily deflects the brutality of his mission with his charm and sense of humor. This is a recurring role.

Jul 27- Rhona Mitra (The Last Ship) as Mercy Graves, an ex-CADMUS agent who has always believed in human exceptionalism. But with both Lex and Lillian in prison, Mercy is stepping out of the Luthor shadow and running her own show. With her biting wit and lethal brawn, Mercy steadily becomes a key figure in National City’s growing “human-first” movement. This is a recurring role.

Robert Baker (Grey’s Anatomy) as Otis Graves, is Mercy’s brother and defacto right hand man. What he lacks in brains, he makes up for with his savant-like abilities to assassinate aliens. This is a recurring role.

Aug 21- Bruce Boxleitner (Babylon 5) as Vice President Baker. Adept and politically minded, VP Baker makes for an unlikely leader, but steps up in a big way when his country needs him most. This is a recurring role.

on Aug 1 it was announced that Brent Spiner (Star Trek: TNG) would play the role; however it was later recast due to family issues that conflicted with production (it is Spiner featured in the picture below)

Jul 21- Ramona Young (Santa Clarita Diet) as Alaska Yu, a typical twentysomething easily swept up by romantic notions and fantasy novels, and she’s something of an expert in the world of the magical creatures that the Legends encounter in Season 4. In the company of the Legends, she soon learns to get her head out of the clouds to become a kickass superhero.

Tom Wilson (The Informant) as Nate’s father, Hank Heywood. With a lifetime in the military and Department of Defense, Hank is part of a long line of Heywoods to serve the country. Charming and charismatic, he’s left big shoes for Nate to fill — and it doesn’t help that Nate can’t tell him he’s secretly a Legend! This is a recurring role.

Mücadelenin ardından düzenlenen basın toplantısında konuşan Başantrenör Zeljko Obradovic, “Maçın öncesinde de söylediğim gibi Olympiacos’a karşı oynamak her zaman özeldir. Onlara karşı gerekli olan her şeye hazırlanmak gerekiyor. Onların maçında savunma çok önemli, savunma değişiklikleri ve tam saha pres önemlidir. Pai solteiro adota 5 irmãos que estavam vivendo em lares separados

Lamont se tornou pai adotivo de cinco crianças com menos de 6 anos

O pai já tinha sete filhos, quando recebeu as cinco crianças pequenas em sua casa

Um pai solteiro de Buffalo, nos Estados Unidos, tomou uma linda decisão ao saber que cinco irmãos foram separados. Lamont Thomas sempre quis fazer a diferença na vida de crianças que precisam de ajuda. E há mais de 20 anos ele está empenhado nessa causa.

Em 2000, ele ajudou um amigo que tinha problemas com o filho. Desde então essa relação com os pequenos nunca mais parou. Lamont já resgatou das ruas mais de 30 crianças e adolescentes. “No começo, eu estava ajudando alguns amigos. Eles haviam perdido os filhos para o sistema. Me tornei uma espécie de papai adotivo”, afirmou Lamont, ao programa “Good Morning America”.

Além de ajudar dezenas de crianças, ele ainda adotou definitivamente outras cinco. Isso sem contar Anthony e LaMonica, seus dois filhos biológicos. A primeira adoção foi em 2007 quando recebeu os gêmeos Germayne e Tremayne. Depois veio o terceiro filho Jamie, seguido por German. Foi quando o homem decidiu adotar legalmente a primeira criança que ajudou – Michael.

“Ele conheceu meus pais biológicos. Foi meu terceiro lar adotivo e acabou sendo meu lar para sempre. Lamont nunca recusou uma criança. Alguns ficaram com ele até se tornarem adultos e outros voltaram para suas próprias famílias”, relembra o filho Michael, que hoje tem 27 anos. Com os sete filhos já crescidos, Lamont pensava que seu propósito de vida estava concluído.

Foi quando ele soube de uma história que o fez repensar sua “aposentadoria de papai”. Zendaya, Jamel, Nakia, Major e Michaela (5, 4, 3, 2 e 1 ano, respectivamente) eram filhos de um de seus ex-filhos adotivos. As crianças foram tiradas dos pais por negligência. Quando soube disso, ele não pensou duas vezes para voltar a se candidatar para adoção e poder reunir os pequenos, que estavam separados há mais de um ano e meio.

Junta-los novamente não foi tarefa fácil, afinal eles estavam vivendo em casas e em cidades diferentes. Em outubro do ano passado, Lamont conseguiu a guarda definitiva das crianças. Agora ele tem 12 filhos, incluindo cinco com menos de 6 anos de idade. “Eles trazem uma nova energia para mim. São filhos adoráveis e muito carinhosos. Eles merecem ser criados como irmãos e essa foi a minha luta. Eu sempre quis fazer a diferença, sendo a diferença. Amo o que faço”, conclui o papai.

‘House of Cards’ is Falling Down

Summary

               On Sunday, October 29, 2017, at 8:32 pm BuzzFeed News posted a story about Anthony Rapp, where he spoke about Kevin Spacey allegedly making sexual advances toward him when the actor was only 14 years old. The purported event took place in 1986 when Kevin Spacey was 26 years old. Since the story was publicized Kevin Spacey has commented on the allegation by issuing an apology via Twitter.

Once Netflix heard about these troubling allegations they suspended the production of season 6 of House of Cards.  As reported in the New York Times. the production team, Media Rights Capital as well as Netflix issued a joint statement on Monday, October 30th, saying they were “deeply troubled by last night’s news concerning Kevin Spacey” and would be meeting with cast and crew “to ensure that they continued to feel safe and supported”.  Netflix also announced that season 6 would be their last season and that this decision was made months ago before these allegations surfaced.

Spacey, who is an executive producer of House of Cards, as well as the main character Frank Underwood has helped the hit Netflix show reach critical acclaim with his outstanding performance in the series’ 5 seasons.  The series, premiering in 2013, was one of Netflix’s first attempts at original programming and helped to set the stage for other streaming services. Upon the success of House of Cards, industry leaders in television realized the ways in which streaming services could directly rival network television. Following season one of the series, House of Cards received 7 Emmy's and solidified the series as a fan and industry favorite. Kevin Spacey has received 5 best actors Emmy nominations for his role as Frank Underwood.

 Reaction and Responses

This news comes as a shock for fans who are truly devoted to the political satire hit.  Many fans of the show are wondering if the series creators can just kill off Spacey’s character and continue focusing on Robin Wright who is the other star of the show.  Twitter is also reacting directly to Spacey’s twitter apology where he mentions that he is coming out as a gay man.  Some users say that this is a distraction to overshadow the news of the allegation which is of his reputed sexual misconduct with a minor.  Netflix reacted swiftly to these allegations and has distanced themselves from Spacey but has not publicly denounced his alleged actions.  The company was succinct on twitter about the suspension of the season but because they did not outright cancel the season fans and news sources alike are left wondering, will this last season see the light of day?

Page Principles

Tell the Truth: I believe Netflix really embodied this principle when dealing with their response to these allegations.  They were not overly subjective, and they did not use victim blaming or scapegoating. They instead gave their honest opinion and tried to be proactive about the situation.

Prove it with Action: Netflix did in fact prove it with action by suspending the production of the current season where Kevin Spacey is highly involved both in front and behind the camera. Their decision to suspend the series allowed them to regroup and come up with a plan; instead of being reactive they were proactive.

Manage for tomorrow: Netflix is aware of what is going on in the industry and surely has seen mistakes made by other companies when facing allegations, so their response was to speak and take action quickly to minimize backlash and also preserve their reputation.

Realize an enterprise's true character is expressed by its people: Netflix did not just make decisions that would affect the business but the executives at Netflix and Media Rights Capital decided to have conversations with the cast and crew. They created an open space where their employees could express any concerns they were having following this controversy.  By taking care of its employees and listening to them, they are creating good public relations.
