Me remembering when Nesta let the Inner circle stay in their house for FEYRE and then when said Inner circle started berating her sisters FEYRE sat there and didn’t say anything.

'of course feyre wasn't in hofas - she just had a child'!
she's also a fictional character. as in...she's not real. and this is why caring about these issues is important. feyre does not exist yall. maternity leave (in this context)......does not need to exist. she's a fictional character she doesn't need to 'rest'. ultimately, arguments like these always reveal to me the people who are earnestly just rhys stans who parade feyre around when she co-signs her own abuse through narration, and disregard her when her opinions no longer align with their fantasy footstool. the fact that they claim that feyre is the 'main character' and yet justify her absence is insane. like if you truly believed that feyre was the main character...then why would you essentially make up an argument such as 'she's a mother and needs to rest.'
first and firemost, the end of hosab highlights rhysand as the surprise. the last line of the book is not 'hello bryce, I'm feyre welcome to the night court" and that in itself (to some extent) who the story thinks is the main character. the appeal was rhys...not feyre.
like wdym a fictional mother cant be in her own series because she's recovering off page from her fictional birth. i need us to be serious for a second here. yall are literally arguing that she IS the main character. why would the main character not be in her own series just because she had a baby????? i think this proves the extent to which "feyre" (*undercover rhys*) go to derail conversations about the problems in this series.

oh Rhysand I will see you in HELL. Believe that.
(mind you, he continued to keep many more secrets after this quote in ACOMAF 🙃🙃)

tw: mention of suicide
I know for a fact Rhysand would be one of those guys who says he’d off himself if Feyre tries to leave him. I don’t mean this lightly at all. He regularly manipulates her in vile ways and often moves the blame from himself and just self-pities himself and uses Feyre’s love and feelings of debt to him as a way to control her.
Feyre needs to get her and Nyx out because he sucks. The death pact is actually atrocious and I hate how Feyre agreed to it.
someone call @feyres-divorce-lawyer because she’ll need a good one. Alternatively, Annalise Keating, because some will be murdered.

Feyre is not capable of love.
I was carefully re-reading ACOTAR and ACOMAF and it occurred to me that Feyre tells Tamlin she loves him only once, right before she stabs him. She murmurs it back to him in ACOMAF, too, but he’s always the one to say it first. She also didn’t tell him she loves him before she returned back to her village in ACOTAR, which triggered the events Under The Mountain.
And what’s even more concerning, is that she only tells Rhysand she loves him once it is revealed that he is her mate.
All of that, along with the fact that her inner monologue in ACOMAF when she keeps telling herself that she will wait for the mating bond to snap between her and Tamlin before they get married so that she has solid proof that they belong together, makes me believe that Feyre does not understand the concept of choosing someone and loving them. And this is very strange to me because she only found out about the mating bond a couple of months ago. Why is this so important to her?
I suppose that all the hardships she has endured both as a human and a fae probably make her very reluctant to open up her heart, but this is still very problematic. Her need for a higher power to point out who she must be devoted to makes her seem so weak and strips her off her autonomy.
I guess Amarantha was right about her heart after all…

Seeing people hating Nesta so much but loving Feyre and saying how different they are and how their experiences and point of views set them apart, all the while ignoring how they are two sides of the same coin and parallel each other. In this essay, I will---

Human Nesta would shake Nessian Nesta by the shoulders screaming "What the fuck is wrong with you???!!!!"
Human Feyre would be drawing her bow trying to shoot Feysand Feyre just so she would never become her.
Human Elain would look at Elucien Elain and be like, "Nice."

I’m genuinely curious what the Inner Circle would have done if Nesta got better and ended up with someone that wasn’t Cassian. Because I’m convinced that part of the reason they even cared about her was because she was Cassian’s mate and they wanted to force her to be with him.

Rhysand is NOT morally grey, for fuck’s sake. I’m tired of the amount of people that jump to say “rHySaNd!!!” any time someone asks for recs for morally grey villains. I will downvote that shit on Reddit, idc. I’m petty and it’s just an incorrect statement.
Actual morally grey characters would include Kaz Brekker, Lestat de Lioncourt, maybe even Cardan Greenbriar. They don’t have an excuse or explanation for literally every single wrong thing they’ve done in their entire lives.
Rhysand, if anything, is morally brown, because his morals are shit and so is he.

good morning! just dropping by to vent out my frustration on how feyre was sooo gonna leave lucien behind w ianthe. she knew what was going on and what had happened previously. the only reason she stopped is because rhys and ianthe had a past imo
I am convinced Rhys went into her mind and manipulated shit because what in the actual fuck???
What happened to the girl who cried after killing two faeries? You're telling me she would've left her friend Lucien to get raped? I don't believe that bullshit, sorry.
I need to free Feyre from daemati and she'll come back to us.

Anyone else find it super frustrating that Feyre’s actual trauma was kind of swept under the rug in order for the narrative to frame Tamlin as some horrible monster? Like him locking her up was bad but also…her freaking out the way she did stemmed from her time UTM. I feel like that was never actually acknowledged to the degree it should have been and instead, we get Rhys (and then Feyre) blaming Tamlin for not helping Feyre more UTM when his hands were quite literally tied.
And then he was also dealing with his own trauma & trying to rebuild his court. It wasn’t that he just wanted her to sit there and look pretty, he was trying to move on from the 50 years of torment he experienced. Albeit, he wasn’t helping anything by ignoring his trauma, but to ignore it is a very realistic response. But instead of both of them working through their traumas, or even amicably splitting up, we get Tamlin the horrible irredeemable abuser and Feyre basically playing the same role she did while UTM, but somehow it’s fine now because Rhys is actually a good guy? And them being mates somehow erases every bad thing he ever did to her.

This isn’t a dig at whoever said this, that’s a totally valid reason not to like her… butttt it’s the most lukewarm take ever. Nesta antis conveniently forget that Feyre massacred a village, and that Rhysand also put Feyre through shit and never apologized, he just self-pities or started fucking her. I’ve never come across a true Nesta-anti who doesn’t love Rhysand for some reason.
“At least Elain was nice to Feyre” How about the fact that she wasn’t a war criminal 😭😭
Obviously personal character totally comes into play here, but Nesta hate is argued soley by the fact that she was mean to Feyre and how that trumps the good she did. Okay thats fine, but when it’s Rhysand he’s actually caring and super sincere? How does his actions throughout his reign NOT trump his good (that good also not actually being “good” because it was literally just his job).
How does the actions he committed while “wearing a mask” NOT trump the fact that he was wearing a mask and “actually good”
idgaf if you hate Nesta, but when u do so on account of her morality and then turn around and love every other character who has committed actual crimes it gets weird.
Same with Rhys and Tamlin, @moonsomnia said it best, Rhys is Tamlin in a sexy font. They both let women (Feyre and Nesta respectively) waste away while under their “protection.” They both abused Feyre, but Rhysand was desperate and trying to save Feyre so it was okay 🙄 (he was not trying to save Feyre, he was saving himself) AND SJM tries to tell us Rhysand is a good high lord, yet shows him being a bad high lord, and tells us Tamlin is a bad high lord, yet shows him being a good high lord.
Conclusion? SJM sucks at writing and is a bad person! Again! Istg that’s the conclusion of every post I make because she’s the root problem of everything wrong with the ACOTAR fandom, from the bigotry and hate she sows to the lack of reading skill and selective permissiveness of abuse.
p.s. I use Tamlin and Nesta pro tags, not because I condone their actions but because the hate they get is underserved half the time when the same energy needs to be kept for other characters.
ALSO HOW DID EMERIE GET A SINGLE VOTE ON THE LEAST FAV ACOTAR CHARACTER

“I once told you I would fight against tyranny, against that sort of evil. Did you think you were enough to turn me from that?”
What a strong, gut wrenching statement from Tamlin. I’d get up and winnow my ass back to Velaris if I was Feyre.
