The Originals messed a lot up but the best thing they did was making a real-life racist & homophobe act as ordained priest to marry his on-screen sister and her black wife.

"They might not do these things to us and we only know who they were to us but that doesn't mean they didn't do horrible things and to discredit the abused is a crime. People we know as ‘awesome guys’ can be predators and abusers. It’s tough to accept but we have to. If we say we support victims — women, children, men, boys — then we must be able to take this stance."

Owen denying being a cheater is kind of funny. He was like “Yes. I cheated on Christina like three times but that’s doesn’t define me.” “You told me to go to Teddy.”
And Amelia is just like “Yeah, our marriage never would have worked”

watching grey’s anatomy for the first time after only watching private practice: another long and obnoxious stream of my thoughts while watching (season 7 edition)
-amelia!!!! yay
-“i have a lot of sisters. if we bought them all coffee, we’d have nothing” okay derek is funny sometimes
-HOW OLD IS AMELIA? it’s stated through dialogue in pp that addison knew her when she was twelve which implies that they are at least about ten years apart (and therefore she is also ten years younger than derek) but somehow she was also five during their dad’s death when derek was twelve, is older than meredith, and got fired from her fellowship in pp but is somehow still a big girl surgeon who can do her own surgeries?
-mark/amelia sex is grossing me out.
-frances conroy!!! this show has so many good guest stars
-marks improvised budget pitch to richard definitely sounds like he’s trying to fuck him
-alex is singing camp rock to the little girl in the MRI thingy. into it.
-the head of pathology is anna draper!!
-okay, arizona telling callie she’s ruining africa for her is a *little* unfair. they should have discussed this more beforehand.
-after however many seasons of them i can genuinely tell you nothing of note about the new characters except that the virgin girl was also in svu and mad men
-arizona sweetie your biphobia is showing
-“i’m trying to look at baileys teets on the internet” RICHARD! (adele webber voice)
-i don’t love the way they’re writing meredith this season. i usually really really like her character even when she fucks up, but she just feels different this season idk. maybe it’s the bangs.
-tyler the nurse!!! i feel like he hasn’t really been around much these past few seasons. i missed him.
-starting to strongly dislike owen. he thought that she was just playing a little joke when she said she never wanted kids??? or that he could browbeat her until she gave in??? “you’re a resident, you might change your mind” ??????? it’s not a decision most people are usually wish washy about dude. you knew this before you married her!!!! “i don’t get a say?” the time to have a say would have been before you were married when she TOLD YOU she didn’t want kids
-arizona sweetie your biphobia is showing AGAIN
-arizona and owen are on my list at this point (ep 16)
-idc what anyone says i LOVE the musical episode (side note: sara ramirez is a fantastic singer)
-meredith, babygirl. i have not been this frustrated with your decisions since season one/two.
-officially HATE owen. deeply. i don’t know how many more ways she can tell him she doesn’t want kids. she has been explicitly clear from the beginning. he’s going on and on about partnerships and both having a say yet what he so clearly means is “i want a chance to argue you into this” as if it’s a trivial decision and not a fundamental difference in how they want to live their lives. and as if it’s not ultimately her body. this is not something you can compromise about, you stupid ginger fuck!!!!!
-also: “i don’t hate children. i respect them. and i believe that they should have parents who want them” !!!!!!!
-every time i want to side with derek, he ruins it by being self righteous and then running away

Like... None of the relationship drama in Grey's feels genuine.
I don't understand Derek's problem. In fact he just seems like a dick whining about not getting enough attention while Meredith is literally having some of the worst emotional trauma of her life. Meanwhile, Burke and Christina seem like complete opposites so I can't figure out why they're supposed to be together in the first place, yet at the same time, their break up still feels so unnecessary. Why does it have to be all or nothing with those two? Why can't they just compromise? Why can't they just talk instead of diving head first and constantly getting pissed over every little thing? As for Callie and George, well him cheating seems like the first real problem they've had that isn't an exaggeration that never really gets addressed before they're supposedly making up. Like they got married and keep acting like they're trying but god help me if you asked that I name three scenes where they were honestly happy together.
Believe it or not, I am enjoying the show so far. I just enjoy the non-romantic scenes and drama a hell of a lot more than the romantic ones.

Why I don't like "Wednesday" the new Netflix series
Now, I was really hoping to not have anything negative to say about the new Wednesday series because I absolutely love The Addams Family and I love Tim Burton (bonus points if the music is by Danny Elfman which 98% of the time it is) but there were many problems I had with the series and I'm just going to talk about why.
1: They ruined Wednesday's relationship with her mother
Tumblr media
I don't know about in the comics but in the original show, and the two movies (we do NOT count the abomination of those animated movies that came out recently) but Wednesday was always close with her mother, they complimented each other, and she looked up to Morticia and wanted to be like her. BUT FOR SOME REASON in the show Wednesday all of a sudden, hates (or at least it's shown that way) Morticia and says things like "I am nothing like you" "I don't want to be like you" even down to not having a romantic side like her mother using the same nicknames (like in the movie with the nerd) and I get that she's a teenager, but like that was a big part of her character imo.
2: The parents are godawfully annoying
Tumblr media
They probably did this for the very reason that the show is called Wednesday and it's probably trying to get us to see through Wednesday's p.o.v so she'd find them annoying but like, their love being so sweet and genuine was one of the best parts in the show that was more for the older kids and adults to enjoy, and Wednesday ONLY SHOWED THAT IN THEIR FLASHBACK.
3: The show took away what The Addams were all about
Tumblr media
The Addams were like outcasts to the "Normies" as the show likes to call them. And having Wednesday go to a school where she "fits in" because she really wasn't and outcast to the outcasts no matter what the show tries to trick you, but if she went to a "Normies" school instead of being expelled like in the first episode she could have been the Wednesday that the real Addams Family fans know and love.
4: The didn't even add one of the best characters from the movies
Tumblr media
Joel (if I am getting that right) was such a cute addition to the movie, the dynamic that he had with Wednesday because they were such opposites were the highlights to the movie. He was a nerdy kid that liked to be alone, and she just liked to be alone. But I was pretty disappointed that they didn't choose to add him in and instead had the Coffee shop boy and Painter as love interests (I'm not going to include Wolfgirl since she isn't cannon to liking Wednesday, and she's too fucking annoying for me to handle)
5: Our classic Wednesday & Pugsley duo
Tumblr media
I mean like how could you separate these two? and IK that Wolfgirl could be a (possible) substitute for the absence of Pugsley, but it is very disappointing to not see the duo back at it creeping out other kids and even plotting things against their friends/family but that was definitely a lose
6: They really shouldn't have had Wednesday go to a Walmart version of Monster High
Tumblr media
One of the things that made The Addams Family THE ADDAMS FAMILY was the fact that they were just a family, like others but they were just different. Which is why the lyrics were
"They're creepy and they're kooky Mysterious and spooky They're all together ooky The Addams family
Their house is a museum When people come to see 'em They really are a screaming The Addams family"
And I KNOW that this is just a different adaptation but how can you call it The Addams Family when you basically have her like EVERY OTHER CHARACTER SHE INTERACTS WITH. it just ruined that part, and she should have never been expelled for that piranha incident.
7: I'm not completely on board with the supernatural aspects
Tumblr media
Actually, for this one I'm not really talking about her visions (don't get me wrong that whole aspect was definitely weird at first but I'm talking about Wolfgirl, Siren, Duce, Telekinesis boy, and maybe even painter boy (who I'm pretty sure is just like the nerd but anyways). Because The Addams WEREN'T ABOUT THAT they were about creeping other people out and I get that they had other friends like cousin IT and the kid WHAT but those were just tiny aspects, and they were rarely part of the movies and mostly there for parties. It just makes no sense for there to be a bunch of outcasts for THE ADDAMS FAMILY
Aside from those major things the more problems I have are with the other characters that she interacts with, mostly Wolfgirl that one really annoyed me Siren was more of a disagreement Wednesday had at the beginning but then got along with afterwards and she was pretty interesting.
I didn't entirely like the whole Monster Killer reveal, and how predictable it was or that whole grooming scenario but that whole storyline was more for the plot than anything.
but there are things I did like about the show:
Walmart Duce and Wolfgirls relationship (weather romance or not the puppy love is cute)
I like when they make Wednesday, Wednesday like how she enjoys digging up graves, or doesn't cry, or show affection
I did like the Coffee Shop kid and honestly, I think he needs help from Wednesday. He was after all groomed by that teacher (when I tell you I gaged watched that scene, I mean it) and she did use his mother against him and controlled him until he gave in which is really sad and I want Wednesday to help him
I did like painterboy too, he became pretty stiff afterwards but if they give him more development that'll be nice to see him interact with Wednesday (she seems to care for him at some extent to jump infront of the arrow for him)
I like Siren girl and the Mayors son, I want to see more interactions from them
THAT MORTICIA AND GOMEZ FLASHBACK IS EVERYTHING TO ME IK THAT WHOLE STORY WAS SO FREAKING PREDICTABLE BUT DAMN THE FACT THAT HE GOT ARRESTED FOR HER MADE MY HEART SKIP A BEAT
I did like the sheriff, IK he was an asshole to the Addams at first, but I liked when they finally made amends
Coffee shop kid and Wednesday's first date was pretty cute, but it would be 1000000000000x better with summercamp nerd

I generally hold that we should let teenagers just be melodramatic and I detest the word 'cringe' because teenagers are just discovering, just beginning, that experience of artistic expression. Being unexperienced in expressing the genuine does not mean that they are in fact ingenuine. But beyond the fact that teenagers should have the freedom to not be embarrassed out of sheer human dignity and respect, I also look back at my own younger self and think about how I used to be embarrassed for them, but now think that I should have been far, far more expressive.
Now I realize that the pain my 12-year-old self was expressing was because I was being abused and neglected by my parents. And only now do I know that the abuse was real and not just an exageration on my part. Now I'm listening to songs I forgot I had listened to. I think about my early sleep disorders and remember being awake at 2AM listening to these horribly sad songs. I listen to them again as an adult who has long since moved out and I understand the pain my old self was going through clearer. This child I used to be was not being cringe or exagerating and if that wasn't such a popular narrative on teenage hurt, then maybe I would have actually gone to child protection services when I wanted to. Or been honest to my teachers when they asked me if everything was alright at home. Maybe I wouldn't have felt fucking embarrassed like it was my fault when my teacher came to me about my homework I handed in, in which I wrote something about destructive love and lack of love of parents for their children and how their children loved them still but they weren't being loved back. And I lied and said it was nothing, but that I had just seen a movie recently with something like that. And I laughed and said that I would just come up and say it if something bad was actually happening. And my teacher said that it can be very hard to do that. And I shrugged, feeling guilty for having made fun of those children who actually have it hard, because I didn't think I have the right to say that I was one of those kids.
Because, my god, is it jarring and gut-wrenching to be re-discovering the songs you used to listen to and remembering exactly how alone and how hurt and desperate you were. And then to realize you were right all along. To think that so much of this is being ignored and degraded to mere teenage-melodrama; both the internalized narrative some adults have of themselves and the things some teenagers are going through again, right now, because we can't think of emotion as anything other than immature (for teens and kids) or entertainment and art (for adults).
Art.
Artistic expression of my PTSD is something I revel in, but there is no need for people to learn first how to weave poetry or paint into their pain before we deem it valid. Being unexperienced in self-expression of the emotions deeply ingrained in the human condition, does not mean that teenagers feel these emotions any less intensely or truly.

Christina aguilera stans on twitter are so dumb. They can’t think of any other defenses for her when she was in brown face and being a cultural vulture in her dirty era. So they lie and say this white woman is mixed lol. What can you expect from idiots who think that Latino is a race and not an ethnicity.
Also comparing Christina’s white ass to Megan and saying she is white like she isn’t biracial with a black mother.

If Radio Silence acknowledged (and I mean acknowledge, in the movies) that Sam is deranged and enjoys hurting people, I’d still like her! The main thing that annoys me about Scream VI (in regards to this topic, anyway) is that they’re treating Sam like a Hero™. It makes her feel boring, but it’s also irritating because the only thing making her better than the Ghostface killers is that she hasn’t hurt any innocents... yet. I mean, how long before she actually fully snaps?
Otherwise, she’s just like Amber or the Kirsches; she clearly enjoys butchering people. (Idk if Wayne enjoyed harming people, but he clearly had no qualms with doing so.) She just uses the excuse of killing serial killers and her father being a serial killer. If she hadn’t gone so ham, cheese, and turkey on Richard, the Kirsches wouldn’t have snapped. (That is canon, Wayne literally told her that.)
I just really hate the aspect of: “This super important character can be this way, but these characters must die for being slightly worse.” 😒 And it’d be much more interesting if they acknowledged all of this!

The Beatles line at the end "Take these broken wings and learn to fly" reminds me so much of one of my favourite Christina Aguilera lyrics: "Spread your wings and soar" and when I looked up the rest of the lyrics to refresh myself on them, some stood out as very Taylor, but especially this (given the Anti-Hero of it all!):
"In the mirror is where she comes face to face with her fears Her own reflection now foreign to her after all these years All of her life, she has tried to be something besides herself Now time has passed And she's ended up with someone else with regret"

Owen is 100% an asshole in this entire scenario. But I also don't understand why you would stay with someone who clearly wants kids when you know you definitely don't. They should have broken up as soon as this subject came up the first time and again, Owen's an ass because he knew before that and was waiting for Christina to change her mind but during that first fight about it, that should have been the moment where at least one of them (Christina) said "okay, this isn't going to work".
