About Me

My nickname is Ari. I am a POC, cis woman, 29 years old, currently studying an IT course, but having an artist soul.

I’m a sex-positive bi-assex and also a diagnosed bipolar and auDHD.

My favorite color is pink, but don’t have a favorite animal. I love all of them, all animals are cinnamon buns in my opinion, but I have one dog and 5 cats!

I have an introverted, peaceful personality. I’m a Taurus, INFP 4w5, and I like to identify myself as a platypus or a tardigrade.

I like to write, watch TV shows and animes, read, play Animal Crossing, Spiritfarer, The Sims or any cozy game that has almost no fight, talk with my few friends and play RPG.

I’m also a ballerina. In 2023 I taught ballet for all ages and this certainly was my dream job! Classical ballet is one of my longest hyperfocus, I remember being crazy about it since my childhood!

I intend to graduate at a physical therapy college at some point in my life, to work with dancers rehabilitation.

We all know how fantis can be hypocrites when they ship police and the differences of how they treat m/m, f/f, and m/f ships. This one I'm going to point out is really fucking wild. In 2022, there are three noticeable anime with the theme of adult/minor, they are Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Call of the Night, and Vermeil in Gold - I watched all three as they aired. We all know this type of relationship in fiction is a huge ass no-no to fantis. So then, where the fuck were fantis when these anime were airing?!?! Especially with Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Call of the Night cus they got popular

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: David 17 and Lucy 20, it doesn't matter if he aged as 18 as the show went on, Lucy met him as a minor and groped him. Call of the Night: Kou 14 and Nazuna 40+ vampire, the whole plot is Kou have to develop romantic feelings for Nazuna in order to be turn into a vampire. Vermeil in Gold: Alto 16 and Vermeil 550+ demon, a demon Alto summoned that Vermeil sexual throw herself onto Alto that he always freaks out when it happen - both of them develop romantic feelings towards each other

You should see and expect a shit ton of posts from fantis screaming their hearts out pedophilia this and that, but from my knowledge I haven't seen a SINGLE post from them about it with these anime - or the least there wasn't some popular hot take™ "xyz anime is pedophilia!!!" when the shows were airing

Y'all would say David just 17-18, it's just a 1-2 years gap, but fantis declared a late teen with someone in their early 20s as pedophilia. Y'all would say does it really matter human with a monster that is immortal of aging like humans, but fantis declared even between immortal non-humans with a huge age gap is pedophilia even if the human is an adult

I have a theory on why these anime with the pairings that gone under fantis' radar, and it's not only because they are m/f though it's part of it. It's cus these pairings are younger boy/older woman. I GUARANTEE you if these ships were younger girl/older man, fantis will be ranting these shows "normalizing pedophilia". If the ships were m/m, oh boy. Fantis will be having a field day foaming at the mouth like dogs with rabies, countless shit takes posts of anti fujo rhetoric, misogyny, xenophobic, and homophobic. ok, this AU was the hardest to develop since the ideas are half formed and it raises a lot of questions for the verse that the answers are too complicated for me to answer. but i can escape that by NOT writing a fic (which i tried to do and failed horribly).

in my heart of hearts this verse is very hilarious and sexy. so have some ramblings about it instead:

angels and demons have 4 letter names: vita, beka, yura, yuri, mila, jaak, chit, etc… akov is god and ilia is the devil (< i guess, idk, whatever, not important). i think yuri (katsuki) is a demon (gluttony, lust), but that is also not entirely important.

yura and beka meet each other on the shoulders of a nervous and spineless human. they have been sent (punished?) (exiled?) to the mortal realm to act as the human's conscience. yura dwells on the right shoulder and beka on the left.

the human's spinelessness drives yura into rage. he screams into the human's ear trying to influence him to just go punching assholes and jerks that the human lets walk all over him. yura is literally the embodiment of the meme "aren't you tired of being nice a loser? don't you just wanna go apeshit?" when the human only cowers in response yura punches and kicks his neck, which only makes the human scratch his neck (a nervous tic), this makes yura all the more enraged.

beka on the other hand shoulder (haha) whispers and murmurs things into the human's ear that make him more spineless like: it's scary out there, we should stay in, oh, this guy is big we should let him cut in line ahead of us, its okay to get interrupted it wasn't important anyway… etc

idk something to that effect.

they are both so useless to the human being that the human lives out a pathetic life. they spend more time having sexy makeouts on the human's back than doing anything of use.

on yura's malevolence; he has a strong sense of justice and what's right but his problem is his means of achieving them, they are unholy and extremely problematic lmao. beka's benevolence is unbecoming of a demon. he still has the values of what make him demonic but his means are calm and without calamity. chaotic good vs lawful evil typa shit idk

vita is yura's overseer and whenever he has a message to send to yura, a golden halo appears in the air and a soft holy choir sings as clouds part to reveal vita who is glowing all dream-like. (this is super hilarious in my head, the choir is like a soundtrack and can abruptly stop (like a record scratch) if some incredulous shit gets to vita or whatever. it's very over the top and obnoxious)

i imagine the choir is like the first and last thing you hear when interacting with vita. like you'd be chilling on a cloud minding your own business and in the distance the dulcet tones of the choir signals the arrival of vita, and then fades away with him when he leaves lmfao. vita is also especially glowy for an angel, he glows more than most, giving him a very ethereal and dreamlike quality (the extra power he allots to that is worth it and second nature to him at this point)

jaak is beka's overseer and he makes it a point to regularly interrupt the sexy makeouts. when jaak calls, a dark red almost black flame flickers to life and forms a ring of smoke, as he appears in it he always has cluster of succubi hanging off of him who all look exactly alike (isabella) who softly moan, murmur and whisper "king jj" at him in the background

(kind of like in horror media when you hear whispers in the background, but it's constant and less scary sounding and more blush inducing. the anti vita choir lmao)

whenever jaak comes around, yura mimes gagging and puking and covers his ears because, funny enough, worse still than the constant moans of "king jj" is jaak's voice itself.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't really do angsty endings? Closest is probably The Contract because it ends on a cliffhanger because it's a two-part series.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? My fics have happy endings, generally. I would probably say Healing With Time because the canon couple didn't get that.

Do you get hate on fics? I have in the past. Got a troll who posted a lot of anti-Slytherin comments on FFN, but usually no.

Have you ever had a fic translated? No. I had an offer once, but they never contacted me again after the initial ask, so I revoked permission.

After a very quick google search I have found that the age of Consent in Russia is 16.

And the legal age in Kazakhstan is, what's this! It's also 16.

So get off your high horse and just admit that you have a problem with age gaps. Come to the realization that your discomfort doesn't matter and move along.

Why I don’t like Ota/yuri

See my issue with Ota/yuri isn't that it's a 'pedophilic' ship with a strange power imbalance, apparently. Frankly I'm more annoyed at the fact that people call a 15 year old and an 18 year old possibly dating pedophilic, thereby devaluing the word. Pedophilia is by definition someone of 18+ years attracted to people that are prepubescent aka I'd say 0-13 tops. Therefor the relationship, however uncomfortable you might find the age difference, is not pedophilic. Stop using that argument, please.

Frankly I'm also the kind of person that is all for ship and let ship. I believe that fiction is supposed to be your gateway to explore certain things in a safe manner, sometimes things you don't even desire in real life, but find interesting enough to write about. If every author actually stood behind the things they wrote, well I'd steer clear of Stephen King and R.R Martin, just to name a few. So really my issue with this ship isn't about fiction vs. reality or how 'problematic' such thing would be in the real world.

What really annoys me about Ota/yuri is the fact that we have a canon, healthy gay relationship within that anime! Like I've never seen such a well developed, realistic, not rushed and happy gay relationship on TV, let alone in anime and manga culture. But instead of being happy about that, focusing on that little flicker or positive representation, the fandom latches on to a fifteen year old that had to understand what Agape even means! And then connected it to his grandfather! 

Yuri never considered love an option. He's the same fifteen year old who was too focused on providing for his family, who is so driven by his passion for skating he never looks left and right. He didn't care for friends or other connections, only to reach his goal of winning and he freaking succeeded by working hard and having rock solid focus. I love that about Yuri. I love that he's mature for his age on one hand, but also very childish on the other. He's a realistic representation of a 15 year old.

That's when Otabek comes in and shit goes down the drain. Listen, when I was 15 all my friends were 18+. I remember acting extra dumb around them, because I felt I had to prove myself. So that whole scene with the club and shit? I can relate, but not in a romantic sense! I'm so tired that every platonic relationship these days has to be turned into a romantic one, especially when people have to reach for it. Otabek and Yuri literally had less than five minutes of screen time. Why Ota/yuri? Where? 

Frankly I also think that Yuri would benefit from a friend more than he would from a boyfriend. Especially someone older, more mature and mellow like Otabek. I'd love the idea of them as friends much more, had the fandom not completely fetishized their relationship by now, effectively ruining it for non-shippers. It's like Johnlock all over again. People complain about tiring romantic side plots and how we have to little platonic loves but then pull an Ota/yuri. Like? What I’m also not a big fan of is the idea that if one couple is gay, all the main couples have to be gay, something most commonly found in yaoi and fanfiction. Which in itself wouldn’t be as big a problem - although it just reminds me that yaoi and fanfiction aren’t for representation of LGBT but for the pleasure of their heterosexual, female consumers - if it wasn’t for the fact that everyone also dated within the same circle. It just seems to unrealistic for every relationship to be romantic, on screen and within the same friends group, but maybe that’s just me. I'm just so tired of these fanservice dilemmas and I fear Ota/yuri will become a prime example...

Now that I'm 18 it's even easier to debunk otayuri; the idea of dating someone 15 or 16 is absolutely disgusting and mind-boggingly nasty to think someone my own age would date someone that age.
