Columbo and the Knight (1984)
put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

there’s so much love for how insanely-ruthlessly protective Cas is but the same is never given to jack when he’s the one being insanely ruthless about his family….it’s a cryin’ shame, i say

5 episodes into Deadloch and this show is so much more fun when it isn't trying to pretend like it's not copaganda like genuinely a really fun mystery and executed super well and then the lib-ish politics of the show keep popping in like "hey fuck the gender binary" and "hey queer people don't murder, we get murdered" and "hey our lead is a lesbian cop" and it's like shut the fuck up already my god. like you're bringing up all these issues you're clearly not gonna fucking reckon with because you can't by the nature of the show unless this ends with cops getting abolished in australia so like what are you doing here, you know? like in the first few minutes of episode 1, the lead lesbian cop finds ACAB spray painted on her neighbor's garbage cans and we just haven't gone anywhere with that, it's not like used to critique the system or anything, and her response is just to get it cleaned up. so like. it's just kinda infuriating.

I don’t see a lot of HC’s or depictions of Michael where he’s really quiet (or selectively mute) which is sort of surprising to me. Idk, maybe I’m not looking hard enough but I think it’s a cool idea!
I mean, is the silent protagonist of most of the games. He talks twice that I can think of, before he accidentally kills his brother and once in a weird speech where he’s vowing to find his father. But the first thing is before the incident that would probably prompt his silence and the second I’m not sure if that even actually happened? Like who is he talking to? That might just be for the player, but even if it isn’t that’s just one time and he’s monologuing. Other than that he’s completely quiet throughout the games even as he’s having his shit rocked by animatronics.
I personally think it’s really cool when characters don’t talk or are super quiet in media. I think that it makes sense for Michael and I personally imagine him being super quiet after the bite of 83. He’s traumatized obviously, and also doesn’t really have anyone to talk to anyway.
I don’t know, just something I’ve thought about.

Do you think Charmcaster, Darkstar and Albedo would make a good team? It's pretty interesting that all of the have parallels to the Alien Force team: Ben, Gwen and Kevin. It might be disfunctional, but somewhat fascinating.
*looks at this in the morning on 10/31*
Me: I'll check it and respond later.
*almost midnight that same day.*
Me: Crap.
Dunno actually. We already saw how Darkstar and Charmcaster would work together and probably would've been hella OP overall had Michael not have been so fixated on Gwen.
I honestly can't see Albedo working with any of them. Neither would really help him in the long run, and both are powerful with their own type of magic/mana/whatever it's being called. Both are fixated on Gwen in some way over Ben, which could help Albedo by getting rid of her. But I think all their personalities would clash too much with each other to really pull off an effective team up.
If they were to have a decent team up in order to do their respectful skills and win their characters may need rewrites or they all team up long before Charmcaster and Darkstar did in UA since that said how those two would work together given those circumstances.
But tbh I'm not really sure, I haven't been fixated on Charmcaster's or Darkstar's characters as much as I have with Albedo, so I can't really dive deep into how they'd all be on a team together unless I did a lot of research on Charmcaster and Darkstar and analyze them way more. It would be an interesting team up, and probably better than any of the other team ups Albedo did. (CoughVilgaxCough)
Dunno if this was the answer you're looking for, but I didn't wanna do a whole essay on specifics of how potential team ups could work depending on where it was placed since that's where this was going originally till I shortened it lol.

Omg sorry for coming into your inbox like this but I have Thoughts about AU Lucifer. As in, the one AU Michael killed. I kind of read into AU Michael's bravado about killing Lucifer as covering over extreme guilt and pain (his refering to him as 'my Lucifer' when talking to Cas broke my fucking heart), and I just like, wonder how that fight went. Was this Lucifer full of rage and pain and wanted to kill Michael and failed? Or was he despairing and did he let Michael do it? It sounds like it was a pretty fierce fight, given that Michael said he tore him apart in the sky, but just, ugh my God, I have such thoughts about them and everything with the alternate universe that could have been explored so much more. Ugh I'm sorry
god, yeah. the potential that was squandered with au!michael. look, i know this might be an idea that appeals only to me, but i do think he should have tried to lobotomize lucifer when he had him captured in a futile attempt to remake his own lucifer that he'd killed. and i think he still should have talked about killing his lucifer like he's proud of it, like he enjoyed tearing him apart, but fuck, imagine him saying stuff like that while we know he's literally trying to torture/mindfuck the main universe lucifer into being his perfect little brother again.
sorry lmao everything about any version of michael with me comes back to 'i think he should be contradicting everything he does and says all the time because he has Serious Damage going on' You know, he couldn't have his lucifer, because his lucifer had to die, had to be killed by michael, but there was a point in which lucifer was good and obedient enough that michael could love him without fear of losing him, and if he could just get that lucifer back, everything will be Fine.
(and obviously this wouldn't work. but it would be fantastic lucifer whump, too, which is always a benefit. to me :3)
