May I req how Asmo celebrates his birthday with his partner and kids? I really love your next gen hcs they’re all so cute zxsgzhwh
Oh you’re so sweet honey I’m sorry for the time it took but in my defense it’s still Asmo’s birthday where I come from so it’s alright !
I hope you'll like it because I had a bit of troubles writing it I'll admit 😣
For those who don’t know these headcanons reference to my and @ivotheovni Next Generations AU (you can find the Masterlist here)
( @milas-imaginarium )
-
Note - These headcanons reference to a few characters that you might not know yet so here is a short resume : Valentine a mature young girl who is her real Devilgram Star and Ofelia a sweet girl who often fantasizes about romance are Asmodeus’s daughters (links : 1 / 2 / 3), the twins here do not refer to Beel and Belphie but to Benjamin and Belmin, Beel’s sons, Lily is their younger sister (link). Rosie, from her real name Roseanne is Lucifer’s daughter (links : 1 / 2). Finally I can’t remember if I mentioned her but if Leny is mentioned know that it’s Satan’s oldest child (her real name is Selene, only Ofelia, her best friend, calls her ‘Leny’) (links : 1 / 2)
Anyway now let’s start !
Today was a special day, you were May 15th which meant it was your husband, Asmodeus's, birthday.
That's why you, along with your sixteen and twelve years old daughters, Valentine and Ofelia, decided to make a surprise birthday for the beloved father of your girls.
The preparations started very early in the morning, where you three were busy in the kitchen trying to make Asmodeus one perfect breakfast.
Ofelia, who was a bit of an airhead, rushed over carrying a good number of pans, each of different sizes, to make sure she had the right one to give them to you but tripped causing all the metallic pans to fly out of her arms resulting in an enormous ruckus as they came crashing on the floor.
"Watch out Felia" Valentine said smiling "If Uncle Beel, Lily or even the twins wake up we can say goodbye to our breakfast in bed for Dad"
"And if your Uncle Luci or Rosie wakes up we might hang down from the ceiling all throughout your father's birthday" You added chuckling.
Ofelia giggled apologizing airily as she helped you gather the pans from the floor.
"Don't forget to make it extra cute!" Valentine said as you were now putting strawberries on top on the pancakes you just finished to cook "We'll need to take a picture for our family's Devilgram, oh and Dad's too! And mine as well of course! Our followers will love it!"
The breakfast now finished (without any disturbances from your brothers-in-law and/or their children) you told your eldest daughter to grab her father's gift on the counter and to, along with Ofelia, follow suite as you exited the kitchen in direction of your room upstairs.
You were all giggling already imagining Asmo's reaction in your head.
Once in front of your door, your girls placed themselves behind you as you quietly opened the door.
The small light of the Devildom's days was  already shining through the thin curtains of the room, illuminating your sleeping husband's form.
He was still asleep but you could see from the way his eyelids were moving that he was slowly stirring himself awake.
"Asmo" You whispered softly.
There was a bit of movement from under the sheets.
"Dad" Valentine said happily
"Daddy!" Ofelia also tried to wake her father up, she was a little bit louder than you and her sister.
Just as then you saw Asmodeus's eyes opened up and from a same voice you exclaimed:
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
Fully awake Asmo sat up in the bed smiling big, a smile so beautiful and so similar to the ones of his daughters.
There were not a lot of people who were allowed to see Asmodeus's face so early in the morning but he always seemed to make an exception for you three, you were the only ones who were allowed to see him in such a, as he put it, unfashionable state. You were really special to him after all.
"We've got a full day planned for you Daddy" Ofelia said beaming so happily "We've got breakfast, nail polish, face masks, my favorite romantic comedy -of course-"
"Don't forget about the livestream" Valentine added "My followers are dying to wish you a happy birthday Dad"
"We'll keep that for the birthday party with everyone tonight Val" You said to your eldest who smiled and nodded.
Asmo who was still on the bed was beaming from happiness. Looking at everything that was in your hands.
"What should we start with?" Your husband asked excitedly.
You put down the plate of pancakes on his legs and immediately joined him on the bed.
"Breakfast?" You asked and he nodded.
You all sat down around the king of the day and all happily dug in the same plate.
Once the breakfast was finished it was a mess, Asmo happily grabbed onto a small container of nail polish and asked for your youngest daughter's hand so he could paint her nails as she talked happily about her last crush. You and Valentine decided to take care of each other nails, also laughing, gasping and exclaiming happily as once again Ofelia swore it was true love at first sight.
Putting face masks onto both Asmodeus's and your faces, the girls grabbed onto your now colorful hands to give them a small massage, singing along to the song they prepared specially for their father's birthday.
'They really inherited their dad's pretty voice' you thought as their voice almost lulled you back to sleep, Asmodeus was also a wonderful singer after all.
Then it was time for your overly-romantic's daughter's favorite movie. A very popular rom com that you had seen a thousand times already but it seemed like your family never grew tired of talking all during the movies about everything and anything like how the protagonist should run after them and crying over their happy ending.
"I think that just leaves us with your birthday gift Asmo, right girls?" You said.
Ofelia rushed out of the bed and grabbed onto the wrapped present that was left lying onto your vanity.
"For you Daddy" She said smiling big as she handed her father your gift.
"Wah thank you Felia" Asmo said as he kissed her face all over before leaving a kiss on Valentine's forehead and one peck on your lips also thanking you both for the gift.
"It's only a small gift for right now you have much more left for tonight" You said as he teared down the wrapping paper.
The gift was an enormous book, a scrapbook more exactly, there were photos of him, photos of you, photos of each of the girls, photos of all of you together and in every spaces left was a small kind words to your husband.
"Oooh I love it !" Asmodeus exclaimed giggling "Look at that the most fabulous family in all three realms in just one book! Come here you!"
Opening his arms Asmo invited you in a family in which you all jumped happily laughing.
"We love you Dad" Valentine said looking up from your hug.
"I love you too my three loves" Asmo answered hugging you tighter.

Late to the Party: My opinion on “Rita her rights,” The Loud House
Tumblr media
After taking a week off to relax, I’m coming back and reviewing “Rita her rights.” Now I’ve been thinking I should probably start doing this if i have episodes I don’t have clear thoughts on, I should try to do something like a pro and con moment on my opinion/final thought part of the review, to kinda give my points on how I really more or less felt about the episode. And to be honest “Rita her rights,” is one of those episodes, I can’t call it bad, but man was it something to watch, I’ll go more into what I mean when I get into the summary, so what was my opinion when I heard the summary, honestly it’s kinda funny there was a summary floating around that said Rita got arrested for a museum robbery and the kids try clearing her name, that would’ve been really messed up but also funny to watch, unfortunately that wasn’t the case for the episode, instead we got an episode where Rita wanted a break from the family, which does happen when she has to do community service, but it ends up blowing up in her face near the end. It’s not terrible, but I wouldn’t say it’s Rita’s finest moment, but enough chatter, let’s head into the episode
Tumblr media
The episode starts with Rita waking up and hello...damn Rita looks really good without the makeup on, like I want more of that instead of Rita with makeup, which I dunno I was always bothered by shows that have characters with makeup if they don’t have lips on the character, like you know what I mean? let’s say Star vs the forces of evil, the sleepover episode, you know Star doesn’t have lips it’s not on the character, but the episode starts with Star and the others putting on makeup and geez does Star with lips freak me out
Tumblr media
I know we all have lips, that’s not the problem, it’s more the problem when the character’s look really weird with lipstick on because they’re adding lips to their model that didn’t originally have lips or wasn’t intended to have lips, I don’t have a problem when a show has lips, heck I’m alright, but if the characters doesn’t have lips, don’t put make up on them it just looks weird, at least in my book, but I know someone’s gonna say, “she looks beautiful with makeup, stop hating.” not hating, If she likes wearing makeup, she should keep going, she looks great either way, but back to the review. Rita wakes up and looks at her lamp of post-it notes, reading off and sticking each note onto her as reminder of what she has to do today, which...I well talk about later,, but I wanna know Lynn Sr. what’s he got going for today? Nothing? ok. We get a small montage of her feeding the animals, preparing breakfast for the kids, and getting the newspaper
Tumblr media
that’s insanely good Rita, nice catch. Lynn Sr. suddenly appears asking his wife to proof read the menu he has to make this week, which *ahem* I gotta ask, what’s the point of having him here? Seriously I wanna bring this up now, but I just...anyway She tells him Menu doesn’t have a “y” in it, which he questions since it’s a french word which he’s right, but still, no Menu doesn’t have a fucking “Y” in it, after Lynn knocks down a hairbrush, Lana comes in and
Tumblr media
what the fuck! like seriously, why? why, oh why, a-after that gross scene I’m not even gonna...We have a thing with Rita rolling on Lynn Jr. skate, Lisa blowing up a couch using flea powder, Lola complaining about something bunching up, and Lori and Leni fighting....wait seriously Lisa blows up the couch with flea powder, fuck what was in that...anyway Lori and Leni are fighting about hair spray which Rita uses on herself, which turns out to not be hair spray but instead
Tumblr media
hair dye, hey she still rocks the green hair, so she drops off Lori, Leni, Luna and Luan at their high school, thus finally answering a question fans have had for a while, which I heard of a few times, does Luan go to high school or Middle school? Well here’s your answer, she’s in High school, she drops Lynn off at her middle school, and the younger Louds off at the Elementary school...which now that I think about it, wouldn’t Lincoln be in Middle school, he’s eleven right? Maybe he’s on the tail end of his 5th grade year, anyway she parks in front of the school bus parking space and comes out only to see an officer writing a ticket, the officer remarks that Rita has about 50 parking violations when Rita checks the glove compartment
Tumblr media
yep, she’s a very bad driver, well in her defense she’s driving around 11 kids and sometimes she forgets to pay attention to the signs...I mean you have 11 kids, can’t blame you if you forget to watch out for a sign every now and then, especially if you’re in a hurry, just make sure you don’t forget to stop at a stop sign ok? She tries getting out of the ticket by offering to buy a police calendar only to find out she owes $2,000 in parking tickets...oh god I know I’d be screwed if I ever had a fine from the police, Rita exclaims she can’t pay that amount, which I mean she has 11 kids, you think she has $2,000 laying around? The officer explains that there is another option..Community service, but unlike the community service the loud kids got in “future tense,” Rita gets to pick up trash in a rather peaceful park makes you question how is there trash there if everyone seems to be relaxing instead of causing trouble. After getting all the trash, Rita decides she has time to relax which she does so and even befriends a squirrel unfortunately for her she gets caught and has to pick up the now overflowing amount of....actually no, she relaxes the community service time away, which is odd this show usually tries to be realistic with it’s approach on things, community service is not this fucking relaxing, well Rita is sadden by the fact her community service is over, a sentence you thought you’d never hear, when she comes up with a plan to get more community service..oh boy this won’t end will
Tumblr media
She ends up crashing into a fire hydrant, where the officer is about to write the ticket but instead Rita takes the community service....didn’t know we had a chose on changing tickets, so the next day somehow Rita’s hair changes back to her blonde color and she calls down the kids, they find out she still has to do community service and complains that they need her to do things for them, she counters that they could do their stuff for themselves and their dad could help them out which we get Lynn appearing for a second and Rita rushes out...seriously what’s the point of Lynn Sr. in this episode? She has another relaxing day and decides she’s ready to come home when she sees this mess
Tumblr media
o-ok I’m gonna take a guess that’s mud Lana’s rubbing against the wall cause if that’s something else...I’m gonna be sick, Lori and Leni are fighting, I gotta admit we know Leni’s the sweetest but man does she fight with Lori a lot I swear it’s strange
Tumblr media
and well Luna’s helping Lucy with a coffin and they slipped and broke the rail on the stairway, Lynn’s wrestling with Lincoln, Lola just jumped off the ramp, and holy shit Luan’s cutting Lily in half, what she couldn’t get Luna to help? dang Luan can’t ever find good assistants let’s just hope she doesn’t end up hurting Lily..nah I think she’s fine..wait where’s Lisa, my guess she burnt something in the kitchen or that could’ve been their dad. And actually it turns out it was their dad burning something in the kitchen cause as Rita drives away from the house it’s revealed via the rearview mirror that Lisa blew off the house’s roof again..man I’m used to this by now, that’s pretty surprising. So Rita tries to get another ticket by taking up two parking spots, the monster! Even the people surrounding her complain about her taking up two parking spots, but when Rita decides she can’t stay there all night she decides to get a ticket by doing something else...
Tumblr media
Loitering, can I say something real quick, I love Rita in sunglasses, it just looks so nice, she gets the ticket and we get a montage of Rita relaxing while doing community service, which is still unbelievable, while also doing things to get more community service such as not cleaning up after Charles...don’t worry I won’t show the picture, but why show dog poop..like come on I don’t wanna see that whether it’s a kid’s show or an adult show...Rita breaking a mailbox with the van, and finally Rita breaking a Radio in the middle of the street...which yeah it’s a law in their town, but I would’ve thought she would’ve had jail time with the mail box thing, like seriously breaking someone’s mail box is really serious, but since it’s a kid’s show I guess they’re showing kids what laws aren’t the worse ones to break, imagine if Rita got away with Murder by doing community service? We get the next scene of Rita and the squirrel enjoying themselves as she explains she’s finally going to stop this charade and go back to her family, after a cute interaction with the squirrel she finally makes it back to her house only to see
Tumblr media
another chaotic scene, with Lana running away from Lori because she has to take a flea bath, guess Lana got fleas Lisa was talking about earlier, wasn’t really surprising but yeah *sighs* that bit, but instead of running away Rita say’s it’s fine and is ready to help when she gets a visit from the police...Fuck make a run for it Rita!! You know it’s serious when Lisa asks who called the po po, it’s also sad when you have to fear the police, but I’m not opening that can of worms. The officer explains Rita’s done 12 violations within a week, and thanks to Rita breaking out the rule book on the officer, she has to do jail time now, Lynn Sr. comes back in the picture explaining she shouldn’t put anyone in jail just for a few parking tickets, the officer retorting that it was much more then parking tickets, listing off all the things we saw in the montage and more, meaning she did get away with murder! After the officer leaves, Rita explains she just wanted a break, Lynn Sr tells her she could’ve just said something, which is true, but you know..you could’ve done some stuff..you know? help around the house, instead of being here when the plot needs...actually the plot didn’t even need you, but anyway Rita knows she can’t run away so she accepts the fact she’s going to jail, but says she’ll do whatever she can to be there for them even behind bars...what a mother
Tumblr media
The next scene starts with the louds talking to Rita who’s behind those glass windows with a phone next to her, each Loud tries getting their time with Rita, such as Lincoln asking for help on his homework, Luan telling her a prison joke (probably the only one I’ve ever heard that didn’t involve the soap), Lynn assaulting a guard, I know who’s gonna go behind bars next, and the most important note, Lisa talking about the water bill honestly that probably is the most important thing they’ve brought up, but then again Lisa could’ve talked to her father about who uses the water the most. The louds end up making a lot of noise causing the officer to ask them to quiet down, she then let’s Rita go...huh I wish it was that easy to get out of jail, the officer now understands why Rita wanted a break, and before she disappears, she whispers to Rita that if she ever needs a break meet her in the tow zone.
Tumblr media
After the family gets reunited with the exception of Lisa whose bringing the old nail file in the cake bit..which I love that joke, anyway we see another scene with Rita waking up, this time with Makeup on, shocking. Rita freaks out at the revelation that’s it’s already Nine, heck I wish I could wake up at nine nowadays, but relaxes when she sees another sticky note from Lynn Sr. The note explains that everything is taking care of and that she can relax, and that they’ll try to do it more often...although this wouldn’t have been a problem if you were around more...anyway the episode ends with Rita waving to the squirrel saying she’ll meet up with the little guy for breakfast. Thus ending “Rita her rights,” and ugh
My opinions/final thoughts
Tumblr media
so yeah...I didn’t like the episode too much, it’s not Rita’s worse episode, but it’s not her best which is a shame because I think she’s so much better then Lynn Sr. who I didn’t like much in this episode. I’ll explain why, he doesn’t have a purpose, he’s there mainly when the plot asks for him, but he’s neither the problem nor the solution, he’s just there, what I mean is he’s their father right? But for most of the episode he’s just either absent or there but not helping Rita, this episode makes it feel like Rita’s all by herself when it’s not the case, but Lynn just doesn’t act like a team player, now if the episode gave us a reason to why Lynn wasn’t helping then we can forgive it, but no..nothing really, sure you can say it’s implied that he’s trying to make the menu for the restaurant, but that’s only brought up once and isn’t referenced again even when we see him he’s not talking about that at all, they could’ve easily made something up with that, maybe have him too focused on that and not helping because of it, but they didn’t and it comes off as a bit lazy, we know Lynn is there and available and heck we know he helps around, but we just don’t get a reason to why he’s not doing much helping. The other problem is the fact Rita decides to do more community service just to get out of helping the kids, no offense but literally you have a voice a reason from time to time Rita you gotta be the adult sometimes, then again even the adults are just kids, you can’t account for everything in life, still I feel like Rita could’ve handle trying to take a break, maybe actually talk to the kids, have Lori be in charge, or get Lynn to do something!
so let me kinda go into the pros and cons, this is the new section to kinda give a check list of what the episode has to offer and to give somethings I thought can be appreciated from this episode, as well as some problems and a little bit of nitpicks
Pros: Rita looks great, it’s a simple plot but could be better not awful though, some great jokes such as the flea name Brad and Lisa with the cake, Rita and the squirrel are just adorable
Cons: Lynn Sr. was pointless in the episode, a lot more gross humor that I didn’t need to see (such as Lana vomiting and Charles pooping), Rita gets away with too much stuff before going to jail, She got out of jail so easily, and really the episode just felt a bit too simple
It’s not an awful episode, but I kinda wish we had a great Rita episode you know? Something to kinda make us really like Rita, sure I get sometimes the parents do act silly I won’t argue there, but they’re still the adults, you gotta make them at least responsible or at least make Rita the voice of reason cause half the time she seems like she’s really awful, especially if you include the part from “Out of luck” where she mention they sold all of Lincoln’s furniture, this episode could’ve been a bit better, like maybe have Rita trying to act like a mother only for the police to arrest her for the tickets and give some scenes with the kids without Rita, struggling a bit, I’m not saying go all dark, you can still do something silly like Jail being exaggerated instead of the community service, then again, I don’t think anyone wants to see jail, only Spongebob should do that, anyway is the episode the worst one, nah, can I recommend it? I say you’ll be better off waiting for another one, maybe watch  “A Novel Idea,” it’s not a Rita episode, but it gives you a reason to like Rita a bit more, even if other appearances haven’t been so kind to the loud mother, we can only hope we get something please? Thank you guys for reading once again
Author’s Note:
Or you can just say P.S. either one is fine, Rita her Rights came out April 6, 2018, that week late I was talking about? how about I’m a year late to posting this review, and officially, this well be my last one...at least for this series, I’ll do a follow up post for this note after I post this review, so be on the look out for that, but this review...god this one, I didn’t poof read any of this, I hadn’t in months, I just left it on the shelf, and now, I’m letting it out into the world with all it’s flaws, I’m finishing this series up on a low note, but that doesn’t mean I’m done with this, you’ll see what I mean if you do stick around, otherwise, yeah, I’m still alive somehow...

The Worst Loud House Characters:
Now, while I don't really hate anyone from the show, if I had to choose who was slightly not great characters, there are about two (or maybe three) that come to mind:
1. Lynn Jr.: Ultimately, I still find her the worst out of the sisters all together. While the episode "Lynn-er Takes All," does have her apologize for being an obnoxious winner, what separates her apology from say Lola's in "A Tattler's Tale" is the impact. Lola not only apologizes, but she willingly takes all of her siblings' punishments for their misdeeds. With Lynn, however, she's told close to the end of the episode that she was a terrible winner, thus making her apology not really work. Sure, while she does celebrate her victory by not rubbing it in her siblings' faces, it's a small change. It doesn't ultimately change my opinion on Lynn as a character. While that suits her character, I would've really liked the episode more if it had Lynn learn that she couldn't win all the games all the time. That's something that is truthful to life how you won't always get your way, but those moments should strengthen the person. Instead, Lynn becomes insane in this episode after she lost that one game, and honestly was even more annoying than she was already. I didn't really want a major change in her character, but I had hoped that this would be the episode that would make me like Lynn, possibly help me to forget about the bad episodes she starred in. But from the final result...not really. It made me like her to a degree, but I still find her a bad character because of how she never really has any sentimental moments with Lincoln or the rest of her siblings. The fact that she is liked because of her attitude, behavior, and competitiveness just furthers my dislike for the character.
2.  Clyde: Even as the show has been on the air for a year and a half, I have yet to actually like Clyde. Really, his only good episode was "Baby Steps." Clyde is still a one-note character whose obsession with Lori, while annoying, became worse overtime. In "Change of Heart," while Lori wanting to get Clyde back was (unintentionally) creepy, how about the part where Clyde somehow got into Vanzilla? As if he was in there, waiting for the moment that Lori got into the van. I mean, this guy even prefers to Lori's.....toots as "music to his ears." And then there's the fact that he bleeds from his nose repeatedly. It was funny the first time because I wasn't expecting it, but after the umpteenth time, it gets irritating. So I was really hoping that "Change of Heart" would develop his character so that he could outgrow hsi obsession with Lori. Maybe he could even find someone else. But nope; not only is the running gag still at play, but it makes everything that happened in the episode completely pointless now. Besides that, Clyde is absolutely useless. In "Save the Date," he deliberately tries to sabotage the date, even though he knew that Lincoln's life depended on it, he acts like a total jerk to Bobby solely because he was Lori's boyfriend, he doesn't help Lincoln in anyway whatsoever (really Lincoln and Ronnie Anne started to bond because they each shared a laugh behind their older sibling's back). The worst episode where he was in, however was "A Fair to Remember" where he was unconscious for the majority of the episode. He contributed absolutely nothing to the plot of the episode, and I feel that if you changed the episode a bit, nothing would change if he wasn't in it. Overall, I just greatly dislike Clyde; he's pointless, worthless, and he is a one-note character.
   3. Tetherby: Even though he appeared once, this guy was the most deplorable jerk I have ever seen, and I am praying that he never shows his wrinkly face again. He was the reason Lincoln was such a jerk in that episode because he taught Lincoln that people like them work for themselves, anyone else is on their own. And then when Lincoln loses the limosuine, he has the audacity to pop all of the balloons that were set up for his party, and then when he sees Lincoln in a limo again, he has the gall to try to tell Lincoln to ditch his sisters. I am greatly, greatly satisfied by the fact that he gets sprayed with mustard bottles. I hope those stains never come out.
4. Chandler: I simply hated this boy because of how he had that sense of self-entitlement around him. Lincoln ends up causing Lori to work overtime because he continually asked her for favors all as a means of receiving invitations to the party which he withheld until the very last minute. And that smug look on his face...bleh. I hate people like that.
5. The Genderbent Loud Bros: I hated them. Hated them. I hate, hate, HATED THEM!! They were the most stereotypical bullies I have ever seen. Watching "One of the Boys" disgusted me because they were advocating the idea that all boys were dirty, vulgar jerks without an iota of a mitigating factor. They treated Lincoln horribly, and that one moment where they laugh at Lincoln after he stubbed his thumb just made me really wish that their female counterparts would knee them all in the gonads. While Lincoln's sisters aren't perfect, these brutes for brothers lack any of the positive trait that the sisters have. At the very least in some fanfics they are given more humanizing traits.
6. Lisa: She's pretty low as I don't hate her, but at the same time, I don't really like her that much as a character. I don't really appreciate how condescending she tends to be. I get it, she's a genius, but does she really have to look down on her siblings as though they were imbeciles? That's not even scratching the surface: she performs experiments on her siblings without them knowing, some of the experiments kind of lean towards being for the lulz more than research in some cases. And then there was that one time that she nearly electrocuted Lily when she had her tied up to several chords. And then she tries to passively say that she was going to reward Lily with a sucker afterwards. Really, she comes off as just extremely callous in some instances. Though I will admit that since she is just 4-years-old, she doesn't really have a moral compass yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former Examples:
   1. Lori: I used to really hate Lori because I thought she was bossy and simply uninteresting in comparison to her sisters. However after episodes like "Party Down" and "Garage Banned," I began to shift my gears towards liking her. While I still found her bossy, I began to analyze her character more, and saw that she was most likely insecure about herself. Really, with no talents like her sisters, I concluded that the reason as to why she acts the way she is is because she's afraid that she would be overlooked. For instance, her deceiving her sister in "Driving Miss Hazy?" Since she was the only sibling with a driver's license, she felt important, so if Leni were to learn how to drive, she would no longer be needed for favors. Does that excuse what she did? No, but when you take that in consideration, you can see why she did that. She also strikes me as the type of person who tries to be an adult too soon instead of enjoying the time she has while it lasts. After all, once you're grown, you have responsibilities to upkeep, bills, a job, etc.
2. Lola: I used to love bringing up Lola as the epitome of a brat. She was annoying, self-centered, manipulative, and psychotic. However, nowadays? I find her the funniest of the sisters. She's hammy, she acts over the top, and she can go from being nice and polite to borderline insane within minutes. While she isn't evil, I love the moments where she lets loose like that one time she traumatized that restaurant owner. I also liked the moments where she realized that she messed up, and she goes and makes up for it showing that she really isn't that terrible at heart.

Tainted Dreams
Part 3 - A Wrong Move
She took a spoonful of rice and a piece of pork chop.
"Bakit umayaw ka?" He asked. "Yan ka nanaman eh." She replied and swallowed the food on her mouth.
"Kase naman ang hirap maniwala. Nawitness ko kayo ni Bongbong simula't simula palang tapos ngayon maririnig ko umatras ka sa kasal niyo." He expressed while chuckling. Leni's eyebrows furrowed as she hardly swallowed the food on her mouth.
"Oh, tubig." He handed her a glass of water. "Thank you," she cleared her mouth.
"Alam mo, araw araw kong pinipilit yung sarili ko alalahanin lahat kaya lang wala eh." She began. "Yung pakiramdam ko kase ngayon para kay Bongbong, sobrang blanko. Para kaming strangers, alam mo 'yon?" She followed.
"Malas naman ni Bongbong, sa lahat ng madadali sa memory mo, siya pa." He jested.
A fainted smile grew on her lips. "Kung magpapakasal ako kay Bongbong ngayon, pakiramdam ko ikakasal ako sa taong kakakilala ko palang." She confided.
He felt how troubled she was by the sound of her voice. "Alam mo, buti nalang nandiyan ka para makinig sa drama ng buhay ko araw araw. Baka mamaya naririndi ka na ha—"
"Sus. Maliit na bagay, Leni." He retorted assuring he's all fine hearing her daily rants. "Mas okay yan nakakapaglabas ka ng sama ng loob kesa sinasarili mo." He followed.
"Na-ano lang ako sainyo. Nakita ko kase yung mga pinagdaanan niyo, sayang kung isusuko mo agad. Subukan mo parin alalahanin. Ipaglalaban ka naman niyang si Bongbong ng matagal so you still have time to remember the feelings and memories, wag mo madaliin. Kung di mo maalala ngayon, then take another day." He advised.
"Sana lang mahaba talaga yung pasensya niya saakin kase hindi ko talaga alam kung kelan ko maaalala lahat." She sighed heavily. "He can wait. Mahal ka nun, tsaka kung ikaw rin naman ang hihintayin niya, sus—"
"You're worth the wait." He complimented making her chuckle weakly. "Mahal ka 'nun, Leni. Mark my words. Mahal mo rin yan siya, matatandaan mo rin yan." He insisted. "Simula nga nung ginalawan ka niyang si Bongbong, kahit noon noon pa, di na ako nakaporma. Binakuran ka agad nung gàgo." He jested causing her to crack a sweet chuckle.
"Hay nako, Digong. Ewan ko sa'yo." She stood up giggling as she headed to the sink to wash the utensils she used.
"Totoo kaya," he reiterated.
"Buti nalang pala hindi ka nakaporma, baka mahulog ako tapos araw araw na dilema ko pa yung mga babaeng makikipagkumpetensya saakin. Ang dami kayang naghahabol sa'yo." She slightly shut him off. "Hindi, sus! Kapag ako may babae, isa lang yan. Siya lang, lalo na kung ikaw. Ikaw lang." He talked sweetly but she knew it was his humor.
It has been almost everyday that they talk since she returned to work and she with this, she got used to his slang and playful humor.
"Mahal," Bongbong uttered as soon as he saw Leni. She looked at him in response with an obvious surprise on her face.
"Mahal? Anong ginagawa mo dito? Doon tayo sa opisina." She walked with him upstairs.
"I wasn't doing anything so I thought I could ask you out for a lunch." He immediately thought of places to bring her to eat. "Ay, kakakain ko lang." She replied; not focused on him as she was busy looking for something from her desk's drawers.
"San ka ba galing?" The sound of dismay slightly manifested over his tone. "May meeting kase sa palasyo tapos nagyayang kumain sila Digong kaya ayun, kumain na ako." She shared and started to feel bad as she felt his yearning to spend time with her.
"Ganon ba? Sige." He uttered, a deafening silence followed his words.
"Anyway, this is for you." He handed her a paper bag. She peeked inside as soon as she took it from his grip — there were packs of Cheetos inside — a smile grew on her lips.
"I have to go narin, I've got errands to do." He followed, she nodded weakly. "Okay, sige."
For a second, he expected for something but then he didn't want to make her feel awkward so he decided to just leave it.
"Mauna na ako. Text me when you're leaving the office so I know." He requested.
Time slowed down as she watched him head towards the door. He exerted effort just to try to ask her out for a lunch, make sure she's eaten her meal and bring her her favorite junk food, yet, all she did was reject him and leave him empty handed.
"Mahal," she called, he stopped walking. She gazed at him for a moment and strode towards him for a subtle kiss on his lips.
She exhaled soundly and flashed a sweet smile upon breaking off from the kiss. "Salamat." She uttered softly. His eyes met hers, being gazed on by the woman he loves made him feel like melting.
"Ingat ka pauwi." She followed and tapped his arm signaling him to go ahead. "Thank you, I will." He replied briefly, he slightly stuttered as butterflies swarmed his stomach.
Leni sighed heavily as soon as Bongbong left. She reevaluated her feelings and she counted it as a progress that she is starting to feel bad about how she isn't reciprocating the love he gives her, however, she still don't feel and recall the strong connection between them that most of the people around them delineates to her.
Digong and Leni started to develop a good rapport ever since she returned to work. He has been friends with Bongbong and his family for quite some time already and he has witnessed Leni and Bongbong's relationship since almost day one. He didn't hesitate to help her out in recalling everything about her relationship with Bongbong.
"Ha? Kala ko okay kayo?" He sounded so puzzled. "Okay naman kami, parang ano lang kami ngayon... cool off." She clarified unintentionally  making him cackle.
"Anong nakakatawa?" She furrowed her eyebrows, her nostrils flared out of curiosity. "Cool off, parang high school man yan." He continued laughing, it was contagious as his point sank to her.
"Eh kase naman—" her own laugh interjects her statement. "Ang laki ng problema niyo ni Bongbong, dito ka nalang saakin walang problema." He joked. "Ikaw Digong! Kapag narinig ka ni Bongbong nako." She chuckled, he started to wonder if he is actually getting jealous of him too.
"Hindi man ako pagseselosan niyan, we're good friends." He assured but she knew it was actually the other way around. "Actually nagseselos siya. Sa lahat naman." She corrected with an accompanying heavy exhale, it astonished him to discover about it as he didn't expect he would ever get jealous of him.
"Kaya nga kami nagcool off kase nasasakal na ako. Lahat nalang pinagseselosan niya, yung tiwala niya saakin zero talaga. Kulang nalang magkulong ako sa kwarto para wala siyang pagselosan." She vented out. Digong didn't really expect to hear it, that's when he realized that Leni and Bongbong's relationship is slowly losing its foundation. It made him feel bad about them.
"Sobra naman yan. Kausapin mo tungkol diyan. Baka magtuloy-tuloy yan, maparanoid yan." He expressed his worry.
It was actually one of her concerns as well but mainly, she really felt like choking with his pathetic jealousy and insecurity. His struggle mutually made her struggle too as she's still resolving her issues with him by trying to recall everything they had to bring back the feelings but with his paranoia, it made the reminiscing tougher for her.
Leni continued to share how choking it was for her to tolerate his accusations and theories caused by his overthinking, Digong realized that Bongbong, somehow, went off the line with his paranoia making Digong understand where Leni was coming from.
Digong got annoyed with Bongbong after knowing how he still treats Leni like she's an easy girl who would runaway and leave him for another man; that easy, despite that she was struggling so hard to make him feel secure and to stop him from getting jealous.
Bongbong and Leni stopped constantly communicating for weeks, Leni moved back to her mother's house to distance herself from him. Despite that it was against his will and it triggered his anxiety, he allowed her to go granting her space to breathe and time to think; honestly, every single day without her breaks him.
As usual, the news about Leni and Bongbong's cool off spread like a wildfire on the news making it appear like they are on rocks, they are done for good or they're now in worst terms with each other.
It was tough for them to read such misleading headlines especially with their current status, it somehow affected them negatively; but do they have a choice? No.
With his sincere hopes that the two would fix things between them, Digong invited Leni and Bongbong to attend the Yolanda's third commemorating anniversary in Tacloban.
Bongbong arrived first at the venue and traipsed around to light up candles in memory of the deceased.
After a couple of minutes, Leni followed.
The atmosphere turned a bit dry, most of the people around are aware of their rift as it was all over the news for weeks already and it made things a bit awkward having their both presence at the event. However, the two refused to talk and just decided to ignore each other.
In less than an hour, Digong finally arrived at the place to remember the deceased and to personally check if Bongbong took the setup he made as an opportunity to talk to Leni but little did he expect that he would just be welcomed by Leni and Bongbong's pride putting him into a slightly bad mood.
Digong started to speak for the event starting it of with his issues, his disappointment with how slow housing for the Yolanda victims are that people felt how desperate he was to hasten every housing progress for the homeless. It has been his habit to interject a joke when his speech gets too serious so he started to talk about his admiration for Leni in humor causing laughters from the audience.
Kung nasan si Leni naga-pasunod sunod lang ako.
Leni couldn't help but blush whenever he confesses his admiration for her in public.
Malaman niyo kapag galit ako, kapag galit ako nagtingin lang ako sa magagandang babae.
He turns and looks at Leni. Bongbong forced a sincere smile and looked away before his eyes met with Leni. Upon seeing the obvious discomfort on his gestures, she started to look at Digong hoping he would understand her visual plead to stop the teasing already as it makes Bongbong uncomfortable and she didn't want to worsen their situation but Digong didn't seem to pick up her signals.
Mam, balita ko may boyfriend ka raw (Bongbong)? Yung balita man, hindi totoo yon?
He asked out of humor. She just laughed but he wanted a verbal answer and she was torn whether to say yes or to say no as she, herself, didn't know what's her status as of the moment.
Is she single? Is she still in a relationship? Is it complicated? Who can tell?
"Bawal na, sir." It was the first thing that came out off her mouth. "Bawal na." She repeated to clarify. It caused a sting on Bongbong's chest.
Is she denying me? Does this mean she's ending things between us? Clarification ba ito?
He felt so alone in a place full of crowd.
"Hindi totoo yon (na may boyfriend kang congressman), mam?" He asked for one last clarification. With the residue of Digong's peeve about Bongbong's pathetic jealousy with Leni, he continued to tease her.
"Eh kung totoo yon may mapatay na congressman na bago." He jested.
Digong ended his speech with one last expression of his admiration for Leni making Bongbong feel so done.
He shook hands with Leni and then traversed towards Bongbong for a thank you greeting. They only had a quick causerie, Digong followed his speech with another informative announcements and then eventually left the place.
Now that only Leni and Bongbong's team are left behind with the staffs and people, Leni started to feel bombarded with choices. She was torn whether to come up to him and clarify things up, comfort him or continue ignoring him.
All the choices had their own pros and cons that made them almost equal with each other and it made the decision-making a tough work for her to do. She kept thinking about it, evaluating the choices, picking the best option until she almost stood beside him as they were all settling towards the exit.
She lost her tongue, her brain turned idle for a moment as she stood close to him. All her guts disappeared, she was unable to speak to him until he left and she finally lost the opportunity to fix their mess.
She started to probe things based on the series of events that happened earlier; maybe it's a wrong move to stay close to Digong as it worsened the problem she's trying to resolve with Bongbong, she thought.
I'm sorry
She typed into her phone but her thumb froze above the send button.
Isesend ko ba o hayaan ko nalang muna siya?
To be continued...

Franzie's Mini Guide to Her Favorite Actor's Filmography
I have a huge crush on Jeremy Irons. This is no secret to anyone who knows me. Let's do this.
Please note this is limited to what I've seen.
● AND NOW LADIES AND GENTLEMEN - I found out about this movie via a book about mtf crossdressing in movies. That scene certainly didn't disappoint, but unfortunately the rest of this movie is a slog. It's a bad thing when you want the "nagging girlfriend" character to win in the love triangle because the woman you should be rooting for is so boring.
● ASSASSIN'S CREED - "How bad could this be?" I asked myself in the theater before the movie began. It's not terrible, but it's incredibly goofy. I have so many questions, mostly about the gigantic crane thing our hero uses in his time travel mind adventures. But Jeremy was hot and that's all I needed.
● BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE - I actually like this movie, especially the extended edition. This has caused people to give me the side-eye, to which I say "Sorry not sorry that my tastes differ from yours". I have not yet seen Justice League, but it's in my Netflix queue. But did it deliver on what I came for? Well, the extended edition did, certainly.
● BEAUTIFUL CREATURES - I'm not one for YA book adaptations, but I really enjoyed this. I liked all the characters, the sets and costumes are fantastic. Unfortunately, this movie flopped in theaters, so the remaining books won't be adapted anytime soon. I did actually read the book it's based on and it turned out to be pretty good as well.
● A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL - This movie gets my disapproval, that's for sure. Everyone but Anthony Hopkins is a jerk.
● DAMAGE - This is legit one of my favorite movies. It's a story about how cheating ruined a man's life and it's amazing. The book goes a bit further than the movie does (the scene in the Paris hotel room is VERY different), so I can understand why some things got changed. But my thirsty fangirl self loves this despite the melodramatics.
● DEAD RINGERS - Easily one of my favorites. I don't think I have to describe the plot much because it's so well known, but it's about twin gynecologists falling to drug addiction and paranoia. Bryan Fuller used some imagery from this in S2 of Hannibal. I own the Criteron DVD and the Shout Factory blu-ray as the special features on both are completely different.
● DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE - My favorite of the Die Hard movies, but not just for the obvious reason. I love Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson's scenes together and I love how the "terrorist" plot unfolds. Just a great movie all around.
● DUNGEONS & DRAGONS - Jeremy was in this because he had a castle to pay for. But he looks like he's having a good time hamming it up. This movie is completely ridiculous. Play it at your next D&D session!
● ERAGON - A movie so boring I forced myself to not turn it off after Jeremy's character died. Spoiler alert. I have never read the books.
● THE FOURTH ANGEL - This movie is SO BAD. But listen, when I learned there was a movie where Jeremy hunts down terrorists in a leather jacket while riding a motorcycle to get revenge for the plane hijacking that killed (some of) his family, I was sold. But yes this movie is ridiculously bad so that's why I keep my DVD.
● THE FRENCH LIEUTENANT'S WOMAN - I'm not much of a historical drama person, but I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Because the book breaks the fourth wall regularly, the movie does a "movie within a movie" format, which works very well. I also enjoy seeing Meryl Streep in movies before she got the reputation of being Instant Oscar-Bait.
● THE HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS - This movie is an adaptation of a much longer book, so there are a lot of plot details missing. You can also say it's problematic to have mostly white actors in a story about Chileans. That does not stop this movie from being completely bonkers. Meryl Streep has psychic powers. Jeremy is a total asshole cheater until he mends his ways. There's creepy pedo half-brothers. There's a car getting exploded by a train and it's never mentioned by anyone. I need to read the book.
● THE LION KING - Do I need to say anything about this? I have a bunch of Scar merch, if that tells you anything.
● LOLITA - I have some bad news for Adrian Lyne: Lolita is not a love story, my dude. That being said, despite this movie being a bad Lolita adaptation, I enjoy it anyway. I recommend getting the DVD to see the sheer amount of deleted scenes alone. The acting is genuinely good from everyone. Nobody gets over Frank Langella as Quilty. Bonus: Jeremy reads the audiobook of Lolita. Why no I have not listened to it multiple times already, I'm not WEIRD. 😞
● M. BUTTERFLY - You can thank David Cronenberg for ruining my life. Apparently, this adaptation of the play was not well-received, but I still love it.
● NIGHT TRAIN TO LISBON - No, I have not read the book of this, either. But Jeremy is very cute and that's all that matters. There is a scene I can't watch that involves cutting a piece of chicken out of a woman's throat.
● RACE - A pretty good biopic about Jesse Owens. It doesn't sugarcoat the discrimination he faced, nor his own flaws. The only issue I had was that it did try and make Leni Refensthal sympathetic (which...no, you can't).
● RED SPARROW - This was way different than I thought it was going to be and I loved it. It's a very subtle spy-revenge movie with rapists getting beat up. Fantastic.

Late to the party: My opinion on “Fandom Pains” The Loud House
Tumblr media
Another Friday, another new episode of the Loud House, man when am I gonna get that review of “Left in the dark/Get the message” done? Anyway sorry for this being a bit late, I wanted the review out on Sunday, but things got rather busy on my end, with my sister coming back from college for the weekend. Not that it’s a bad thing, Mario Kart 8 is always a fun time, even if I lost big time. Enough talking about that though, “Fandom Pains” is what I’m talking about today and when I first read what the episode was going to be about, I didn’t know what to make of it, I thought they might address the elephant in the room....you know the fandom, not directly, but maybe a subtle jab at it, but nope it didn’t really go there. Which is good cause I doubt this show would ever do an episode regarding the fandom whether it’s one side or the other, the writers are probably looking at the fandom and just saying “nope,” and just leaving us alone. Well not really, what I mean is I doubt they’ll tackle the subject of Lewd house, maybe they could do something regarding toxic fandoms and maybe make a reference to their own, but I highly doubt it. So what did “Fandom Pains” do anyway? Did it address something in the fandom, or was it just another episode with our favorite goth? Let’s look into it.
Fandom Pains
Tumblr media
Ok so the episode starts off with a shot of the house with lighting striking in the background. We then get this shot of Lucy sitting with Edwin, and I gotta say, this is so cute, I dunno why, I guess it’s how Lucy is smiling it’s not really that often we see her smile and seeing this on the first shot I just thought “awww.” I’m weird sorry, but it’s adorable in my opinion, anyway she’s sitting with Edwin getting ready to watch her favorite show, which goddamn I’m gonna hate how many times I type it out, cause it’s a mouthful. The show is call “The Vampires of Melancholia,” Actually scratch the last part about saying it’s a mouthful the last part is a bitch to spell right, what the heck is Melancholia?...OK I just looked it up and here’s what Google says it is:
Tumblr media
God this brings me back when I was a Phineas and Ferb fan, I loved whenever they used a word or reference something I didn’t get, so I just looked it up and *whistles* learn something new everyday. Thanks to the internet, that phrase is truer every day. Sorry getting a bit sidetracked *ahem* Lucy’s smiling with Edwin when suddenly jump scare!
Tumblr media
Geez Lucy, are you just letting the others steal your jump scares now? Come on, take back your only joke and show your sisters who scares who better, but yep instead of a night with her and Edwin. Leni and Lori decided to break it up, so why are they there? They’re here to watch “VOM” which is Lucy’s show, the title is just shorten to an abbreviation similar to how people here abbreviate “The Loud House” as “TLH,”  Or how the Star fandom uses “SVTFOE” for Star. I’m guessing Lori and Leni can’t be bothered to say the name, I can’t blame them. Lucy tries to question why they’re suddenly interested in her show when they suddenly scream, their eyes now focused on the screen as it’s revealed a new actor has appeared. For the sake of convenience I’m calling him Tristan, I know they do say his real name, but even in the credits for this episode, he’s still referred as Tristan so yeah. Leni and Lori fangirl over this actor that’s playing a new character introduced into the show, hopefully I’m using Fangirl right, if not I was going to say “Swoon,” but Google says they faint and watching this episode again, they don’t faint once, so I’m saying Fangirl. Sorry, I promise if it offends someone, I’ll change it to something else, not right away, maybe next review.
Tumblr media
we then see Edwin, not the bust the real Edwin.
Tumblr media
Can you tell the difference? For real though I wanna ask a question, do you think Lucy made the bust herself, or the show is that popular they sell Edwin busts, my guess is the first one, mainly because if we all remember “Making the case,” Lincoln kisses Edwin, and you clearly see his lips pop off, so I’m guessing she loves the show so much she bought a cheap bust and decorated it to look like Edwin. The question is how did the bust look like before it became Edwin? who was the bust suppose to look like? the world may never know. Ok gotta pick this up a bit before I end up ranting too much on this summary, so Tristan is Edwin’s great great great great grand nephew, that’s here to stay at Edwin’s Castle for a while. This pretty much makes me question is this show a comedy, drama, what? Like what’s the reason of having Tristan here? To get another demographic to watch this show just because of him? I mean it works for Lori and Leni, but seriously it’s just....bizarre...Cue the Jojo music!
Tumblr media
Sorry if this is going a bit off subject, I’ll get back to the review, so as we can see Edwin’s not really looking forward to this, while Lucy can agree with Edwin, as she’s on his side and I am on their side, cause...I’m a bit like Edwin. I say this mainly cause Tristan’s that kind of character, you know the “Lol” cool character that’s clearly trying to appeal to the kids or I guess you can say the demographic that’s going to watch this show, which is funny cause I’m not even in the target demographic for “The Loud House,” yet I still end up watching it, but I can’t complain too much about Tristan otherwise I shouldn’t be watching this show if I get annoyed with these types of characters, yet Leni and Lori don’t annoy me too much when they do it, I mean granted they don’t do it all the time also they’re teens they’re suppose to be like that, and I don’t get annoyed because Leni’s a cinnamon bun that you can never hate and Lori’s....I dunno I don’t really hate her, sure her character isn’t that great, but unlike some people that dislikes her, I like her enough, (at least enough over Lynn) to not get annoyed by that type of talk she does like “Totes,” or “literally,” even though she says it way too much, “I can’t even,” also is up there, but I don’t hate her, she’s the typical teen, can’t really change her, nor do I want her changed, let her be Lori. So *ahem* back to the review, we can see Lucy’s clearly not happy, after the credits roll she talks to Edwin about doing something about the situation, even though it clearly seems like Leni and Lori had fun. We cut to the next Friday and we see Lori and Leni talking about “VoM” Leni even talks about hearing rumors on social media about.....god this is literally me whenever I’m on here waiting for info on new episodes of the Loud House. *ahem* Lucy goes into the kitchen and tells Lori and Leni now that they’re “VoM heads” god I’m surprised she didn’t cringe saying that. You know they should’ve had Luan in this scene, actually I meant to bring this up earlier, no one else in the family except Lucy, Leni and Lori are in this episode, not even Lincoln which is a shame, but I’m ok if that’s the case for this episode, “Net Gains” not so much, an episode with Lynn? Yeah..no, an episode with Lucy? Sign me up. Anyway Luan should’ve been here, she could’ve said, “VoM heads? don’t you mean “VoMpires?” ha ha ha Get it?” Sorry, Lucy tells Lori and Leni that they have to do pre-show rituals to get into vampire mode, another thing I’m surprised she didn’t cringe at saying, we get a montage of the so called “rituals.” One of them involves Lucy making them look like Vampires, which I like the callback to “Tricked” with Lori getting her vampire teeth
Tumblr media
Wait Lucy didn’t get scared of that? Then what’s with the jump scare from earlier? Anyway the other rituals involve Lucy making Leni and Lori hang upside down, which backfires when they spot some of their missing things under the couch. One ritual where they have to sit in coffins to watch the show only for them to use throw pillows for back support and Lori suggesting they use one of the coffin’s lid as a way to hold their snacks and drinks. Desperate Lucy then decides a last minute ritual which involves them drinking blood, however they manage to get pass this, how? Lori makes Beet smoothies...which I wonder how that taste like? Amazingly enough I’m surprised Lori comes up with the idea, not Leni, I’m guessing they’re taking turns coming up with the best idea for the situation. So after not getting her way, Lucy, with Leni and Lori sit down to watch the new episode of “VoM,” We get a glimpse on how Edwin is dealing with his new house guest...not so well
Tumblr media
We watch as he’s writing to his..wife? Girlfriend? It’s never established so I’m guessing wife or Roommate cause he can’t afford the rent on the castle all by himself. He hears something going on downstairs and goes to check on it only to see his Great...I’m just gonna go with Great Grand Nephew, I can’t be bothered putting four Greats on a character that’s not so great himself, he sees his great grand Nephew turning his Castle into a Gym, well whoever Leni follows on social media was right, after a really really...can I ask, do kids call hats “lids” now? ok after a conversation that makes me feel old, Lori and Leni head upstairs leaving Lucy with Edwin, she talks to him and decides to hatch a new scheme to get her show back causing her to break out her evil laugh which...
Tumblr media
to be honest If I could make GIFs I would do it for this part, cause it’s kinda cute, it’s not an over the top laugh, it’s just Lucy going like “Muh ha ha ha ha,” but I dunno the way the voice actress delivers it, it’s just adorable. We cut to the school with Lucy talking to the “Young Morticians Club” Or “YMC” if we’re doing the abbreviation thing, they’re only one letter short of a song, and hey!
Tumblr media
Haiku, that’s awesome but um...what’s with the guy in the lab coat, doesn’t he look a bit older then them? Maybe he’s a teacher or just the adult in charge? or just a reference to Nosferatu, I dunno, so Lucy asks the club for a favor, setting forth her plan to get Tristan booted off the show, they all go door to door...asking for signatures, they get 45 signatures and...15 pieces of candy..wait haven’t I seen this before...
Tumblr media
*laughs* OK, now the question is which came first the comic or the episode? I love this, like the moment I heard Lucy asking for someone’s signature to remove the actor from the show, I thought, “are they gonna say do that joke where they get Halloween candy,” God that was great, they even say “Goth Perks.” Oh and they also send protest letters to the studio via Fang and other bats, hope they made it back ok, I mean it’s gotta be a long trip from Royal Woods to wherever they film “VoM,” I’m guessing California since most TV shows are filmed there so that’s gotta be a long trip, anyway it’s the next Friday and Lucy’s waiting to see if her plan worked when Leni and Lori arrive and
Tumblr media
I don’t know how to respond, I’m not sure if this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen or the cringiest but all I’ll say is, I knew they were gonna make a twilight reference one day, fuck I was waiting for it too, but yeah they made team Tristan shirts, and also Team Edwin shirts for Lucy and Edwin, which Leni puts on Edwin, which is really adorable in my opinion.
Tumblr media
They watch the episode as it plays out with Tristan and Edwin sitting down and eating. Now there’s a line I wanna address, Tristan asks Edwin for some garlic for his fries, which Edwin questions cause of course he’s a vampire, like has Tristan ever seen cartoons or something, you should have the basic understanding of vampire cliches, anyway the line I’m referring to is Tristan saying this “guess that’s a neg, Hey! how about we burn off these carbs with a post meal workout.” I think someone should’ve said, “ok I think we should have him say Negative instead of Neg,” either that or they actually caught that the first three letters of the word “Negative” sounds like he’s trying to say another word that’s not ok to say. The reason I say this is because it sounds like they cut to that “Hey!” really fast at least I think so, who knows someone could’ve just been messing around with audio or the line was meant to be delivered that way, as a joke, although, he should’ve just said “negative,” It’s not that hard to say the full word, anyway instead of the workout, Edwin suggest they should walk around the cliffs of Melancholia, which they do. You probably know where this is going, Yeah Tristan falls off a cliff, causing Lori and Leni to run away crying, poor Leni...and Lori. Yeah Lucy’s plans work and in the next scene we see her scratching out the next Friday on the Calendar and
Tumblr media
Hey April doesn’t have 35 days, I should know my birthday is on this month at least they got it on the right day...for this year, huh? I’m guessing they’re using the 2018 calendar cause my birthday’s on a Saturday this year... So Lucy crosses out the 34th day....hey I think they did address the Loud House fandom, they crossed out the 34th day, meaning no rule 34! Or they just have 35 days in April, which would explain why they age so slowly, they’ve been the same ages for 3 seasons now, actually who knows, maybe I’m ranting again, I’ll stop. *ahem* Lucy finally got what she wanted but at what cost, well by now you can see that the events that happen in “VoM” mirrors what’s happening in the episode, so at this point Edwin gives a big speech about how Tristan may have been a fool, a character clearly there to boost ratings, and annoying as all hell with his lingo and fucking...sorry, but he meant well, he just wanted to hang out with his family, which Lucy realizes is exactly what Lori and Leni wanted when they were hanging out watching the show with her, this makes Lucy
Tumblr media
Oh fuck you, don’t make me cry now, I can’t handle seeing Lucy cry, even if I can’t see her eyes, I know she’s hurting, damn it Edwin give her a hug!! And before anyone asks, I’m talking about the bust, so after that revelation Lucy tries finding Lori and Leni, only to find they’re not in their room, with that Lucy assumes they simply gave up and moved on, but it turns out they were out, she didn’t even try looking around for them, but whatever Lucy then asks her big sisters if they wanna watch the show, with a line that surprised me a bit she says she just wants to hang out with them which, you wouldn’t think Lucy would wanna hang out with Leni or Lori, even as sister’s they have little in common it’s a bit surprising but also, really nice, I like it, so what do Lori and Leni say?
Tumblr media
Well Lori says of course, and talks about how they did start watching the show because of Tristan but stayed because it was so much fun watching it with Lucy, in fact they were out getting snacks for tonight’s episode, so the episode ends on a happy note, and as for “VoM,” well
Tumblr media
Surprise! Yep Edwin’s Wife/Maybe Roommate Griselda brought Tristan back now as a vampire, so Lucy’s plan didn’t work, which I kinda guessed it wouldn’t work, since they don’t film these things live they write them ahead of time, heck even for The Loud House, this episode was probably written a year and a half ago, so yeah, between that time I’m sure they got a lot of messages about “L is for Love,” and threatening the writers to kick Sam off the show and make Luna straight... sorry, sometimes this fandom can be really dumb.......So Tristan is back and he’s now a vampire, on that note I wanna make one more comment, so you guys probably noticed the credits that are near Tristan, you know how they do that “Da Da DAAA!” music at the end of the episode, well the first thing that pops up is Tristan and...the creator’s name...DA DA DA!! Really I tried playing it back time and time to see if I can get just a frame of Tristan, but nope, his name comes up as soon as Tristan does.
My Opinions/Final Thoughts
Tumblr media
First I wanna apologize for the review kinda going off the rails, but that’s kinda how I am, I just bring up one thing and I end up ranting for minutes about that thing or start talking about another thing and go from there, I’m a weird person. Second, sorry about all the “Aww” or that’s adorable stuff, I know this show isn’t the cutest show in the world, but whenever a cheesy moment or just a scene that I think is a little bit adorable happens, I can’t help it, if I think it’s cute I just wanna say it, I’m a sucker for adorable moments or I’m just a big sap, and lastly, I promise I’ll try not to use so much pictures, this episode was kinda difficult to summarize and god I used too much pictures, I guess apart of it was I knew what I wanted to say for the beginning and the end, but the middle part is a bit of a drag, and that’s my fault sorry, so apologies aside my final thoughts?
Tumblr media
It’s a great Lucy episode, now when it comes to episodes, I’ll usually say whether it’s a Lynn episode, Lucy, Lana, based on how much the episode focuses on one character, the special case is season one where Lincoln was used a lot in most episodes so it’s more like it’s a blank/Lincoln episode, like “Toads and Tiaras,” being a Lana/Lincoln episode, or “For bros about to rock,” being a Luna/Lincoln episode, I guess you can call this a Lucy/Leni/Lori episode, but it can be confusing you know? So I just call them based on who’s the main focus, even if Lincoln’s part of the story, although yeah the two episodes I used as examples really are more blank/Lincoln episodes, this one is clearly more focused on Lucy. But even then if we compare it to the other Lucy episodes I still like this one a lot, I know there’s some problems such as the new Character which as I stated before, I don’t like him, but like Lori, I don’t end up hating him, but I’m glad he’s not a regular, I’m more happy with Lori thank you. Second yeah it’s a bit cliche we got where the episode was gonna with this, like every episode, but it’s kinda funny since it seemed like some wondered whether the episode was gonna address the fandom in any way, I guess you can say yes, but it’s really a no, since as I said, they can’t address one side, and even addressing the other wouldn’t be a good idea. So instead the lesson is more about accepting people into a fandom even if they start out liking it for one thing, as long as they stuck around it’s ok, which I guess is there way of saying, Shut up about “L is for Love” Sam’s gonna be a regular, get used to it, or I guess it could be the case for any episode where they introduce a new character, still waiting to see the new girl’s face by the way. We only saw her hair in “White Hare” and nothing else, is she not going to be Lincoln’s new love interest? if so, then ok. But honestly as I’ve stated I didn’t watch “The Loud House,” when it premiered I watched it after seeing a clip of the show, and I stuck around it, have the fans welcomed me with open arms, nah, but most fandoms don’t do that, you’re just a part of something bigger, like that computer game let’s players played a lot in like 2014 maybe 2015. You know that game where you’re a circle eating up smaller circles trying to see if you can become the biggest circle in the entire server, you know....Agar something, that’s pretty much what it’s like, you might feel small at first, but when you find that group of friends who love the show as much as you, well the show becomes a lot funner to watch, as more and more little circles get eaten up, although it can be ruined by a bigger circle that eats you up, but luckily this show hasn’t been ruined for me....yet. Or the message can be it’s not a bad thing to hang out with family even if it’s watching a show, it’s fun hanging out with them every once in a while, either way, I like the episode. So can I recommend this episode, I mean yeah, the plot is simple and the message is there, it’s clear, but it gave us an adorable episode with characters you wouldn’t think would hang out, but I’m kinda glad they decided to use Leni, Lori and Lucy for this one, and I hope we get more episodes like this, maybe an episode with Luna and Lisa? Lori and Luna? Leni and Lana? Luan and Lynn...oh no, no one should be stuck with Lynn for an episode, trust me Lincoln would back me up on this, but yeah I would wanna see something like that although I’d like more episodes with Lincoln, it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those, feels a bit weird, well I guess “White Hare,” but something more you know? Anyway that’s my opinion on “Fandom Pains,” hope you guys enjoyed it, sorry about me going a bit off subject, I know I’ve done these reviews for 7 episodes now, 6 if you don’t include the pilot, but I’m still trying to adjust how I review these things, hopefully you guys still liked it, and if you have any questions shoot me an ask, I’d like to hear your thoughts on “Fandom Pains.” Thanks for reading and I hope you guys have a great day
(Note: so I’m gonna leave this at the end to kinda explain some things, this review was meant to come out Last Sunday, but as I mention, my sister was here so couldn’t do it for the weekend, Monday rolled around, and well I was rather busy this week, I was finally able to start around Wednesday, but with all the pictures, some of them not loading at all, so yeah this review was a struggle, not just writing for, but just getting the pictures to load, ugh, as I said I’ll lighten up on them, but still, also with the “Negative” line I was talking about, I wasn’t bringing it up as “Oh the writers sneaked in something bad,” Nah I doubt they’ll do that, unless it’s Luna then they’ll try their damnedest to sneak in a curse word for her, but cut it before she can say it, which I love, but I doubt they were doing it on purpose, but if you hear that line, it’s like...there, like it’s a bit awkward, but I mean dinner with a vampire is always awkward, anyway I wasn’t implying anything bad, I just brought it up, cause it was one of those moments where you think, why? anyway sorry, thanks again for reading)

Part 24 - Expecting Too Much
Justin Trudeau was indeed a very warm and friendly leader. Upon his visit along with the recognized businessmen of Canada to the Philippines, he immediately formed a good rapport with President Duterte and his vice president, Leni. PM Trudeau loved their company as well, he found Rodrigo's humor as something really exquisite, he found Leni immensely beautiful and sweet.
After the formal meeting of the Canadian visitors with the Philippine leaders, Rodrigo called them for a snack and a random chat. He wanted to make them feel at home but then he didn't expect that something would come up and distract him from his agenda.
He keeps looking at her, the prime minister of Canada keeps stealing glances at Leni, it distracts Rodrigo to witness it.
When Justin finally had the chance, he brought up the topic. "President, you're vice president is very beautiful." He told them.
"You're very beautiful and sweet." He reiterated directly to Leni making her blush. "Ay, thank you, thank you."
She had to look twice at Digong after she saw his bright mood shift swiftly into a distracted one upon hearing Justin express his admiration for her beauty.
"Is your husband in politics too?" He asked. "My husband is long gone, actually last 2012 I've been a widow but he used to be in politics. He actually entered before I did." She replied. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to—"
"No, it's okay." She assured with a sweet chuckle. Rodrigo focused himself to talking to the businessmen to shift his attention away from jealousy.
"Are you seeing anyone or are you in a relationship?" He asked politely. For a moment, she didn't know what to reply. She still counts herself as someone taken as she's still hopeful about working things out with Rodrigo but then, technically, they aren't together, so she thought the best answer would be, "No."
Awkward.
Digong told himself upon hearing her response. He hated how her brief answer appears to him like she's flirting with Justin discreetly.
"Really?" He nearly exclaimed. "I'm sorry, I just... I find it hard to believe." He chuckled.
Rodrigo and a few of the Canadian businessmen walked towards the door as they agreed to be toured by the president, himself, around the palace.
"You're very beautiful, how can you not see anyone? I'd date you." He complimented purely, she blushed. "But I'm married so... my wife would kill me if I did." He jested making her chuckle.
"No... I just. Maybe I'm not ready to see anyone yet?" She explained. "Or maybe I'm still waiting for someone." Her voice fainted as she looked at Rodrigo busy talking with the guests. Justin trailed her line of sight and saw Rodrigo at the other end.
"The president?" He wondered as he heard a little about their past. "You dated him, right?" He asked. She smiled weakly. "I don't know of I read the news correctly but I think I saw the two of you before on the headlines." He added.
"Mmm..." She mumbled. "Yeah." She uttered with a soft voice. "Before." She clarified. "Not anymore?" He asked as he felt her comfort in sharing such information to him.
She looked at Justin and flashed a vulnerable stare. "Not anymore." She confirmed.
"I don't know." She cuts in the sad mood. "He just deserves someone better." She pitied herself. "Don't you think you're enough?" His face furrowed, she chuckled.
"Well, you know. It's complicated. Hard. He's a very good man. Very famous and very loving. He deserves the same. I think I'm a little less than what he deserves." She retorted.
"Anyway. What's important is that we're fine at work and we serve people." She followed and glanced at Rodrigo once again.
"Justin? Don't you like to come with us?" One of the guests asked. "Sure. Of course!" He accepted the invitation and hitched in Leni with him. "Join us." He bid.
As they began walking to the museum of the palace, Leni managed to walk beside Rodrigo, hence, they refused to talk until they reached the museum.
The guests were busy appreciating the art pieces for the last part of their museum tour, Leni and Rodrigo watched them walk around. "Kala ko di ka sasama." He started a conversation, she smiled.
"Muka kasing type niyo ni Trudeau yung isa't isa." He hinted and walked away not giving her a chance to explain. She didn't expect to hear such statement for him.
She didn't want to humiliate him. She waited until the guests leave before she decided to talk to him.
They stood side by side at the palace's lobby and watched the guests ride away until they were the only ones left behind. "Sige na, mam Leni. Makulimlim yung langit, baka abutan ka ng ulan." He suggested for her to leave right away out of concern.
Her driver arrived with her vehicle ready to fetch her. As Digong was about to turn around thinking she'll leave right away, she immediately called his attention.
"Digong." She uttered.
"Ten minutes," she told her assistant to relay her instruction to her driver. "Thank you."
He looked at her wondering why she called. "Pwede ba tayong mag-usap?" She pleaded, he was ready for it, he invited her into his office.
He sat on the seat opposite hers and waited for her to speak but she didn't know how to begin. "Ano bang pag-usapan natin, mam?" He asked.
"Uh..." she panicked as she still couldn't figure out how to start. "Pag-usapan natin yung mga pinag-usapan niyo ni Trudeau kanina?" He jested but she found an opportunity in it.
"Ah, sir... wala naman kaming napag-usapan masyado." She defended. "Puro you're very beautiful ang bukambibig 'non kanina. Type ka siguro ng gago." He faked a chuckle, she knew he was being sarcastic about his happiness about it.
"Hindi naman. Napag-usapan lang namin yung buhay sa Canada, yung kapatid ko na taga-Canada. He was very warm." She shared.
He was very warm? She used to describe our conversations that way.
He uttered at the back of his head. "Warm." He mocked. "Buti di ka tinanong kung may boyfriend ka, mukang tipo ka nun eh." He laughed.
She find it awkward to engage with such conversation with him. "Tinanong niya ako kung meron." She confessed causing his laughs to fade away. "Anong sabi mo?" He asked with a slight hope that her response wouldn't hurt his fragile feelings.
"Hindi ko alam eh." She replied shutting him down. "Basta ang sabi ko, may hinihintay lang ako." She followed bring back his hopes. "Hinihintay? Sino? Siya?" He became cynical, she hated how he acts so hard on her.
"Nagseselos ka ba, sir?" She flushed out all her pride and doubts hoping she would hear a definite answer from him. It's her way to convince herself whether to continue waiting or just give him up, it made him speechless.
He snorted. "Bakit man ako magseselos? Di naman kita girlfriend." His response broke her.
Maybe this is the answer.
She bowed her head hoping her tears won't fall down from her eyes. "Oo nga pala." She uttered taking his attention.
"Hindi nga pala tayo." She added. "Maybe I'm just expecting too much." She stood up and didn't care anymore if she looks so hurt in front of him.
It's the truth. Nasasaktan ako pero ano nga bang pakielam niya? Sinaktan ko rin siya noon. I deserve this pain.
His tough heart immediately melted away upon seeing through her. He felt how hurt she was with his response.
"It's been what? Seven months? Pero hanggang ngayon kase umaasa parin ako na maaayos natin yung problema na 'to." She expressed. "Umaasa parin ako na mappatawad mo yung pagkakamali ko kaya lang hindi pala." A tear escaped her eyes, she immediately wiped it away to hide her vulnerability.
She grabbed her purse and walked out as she didn't want him to see her crying or make him think that she is putting out a drama but then he immediately ran after her.
"Leni, sandali—" "Ano?!" She turned around and stopped for him to catch up.
The people at the hallway of the palace was shook to see a rising scene from the president and the vice president.
"Aalis na ako! Ano bang gusto mo?!" She groused, she was unable to hold back her tears anymore. He was speechless, he was never fond of handling emotional confrontations.
"Ano? Magtitigan nalang tayo?!" She fussed as she hated how weak she was in front of him — she didn't care about the other people anymore. They didn't know either how to deal with the scene, should they assist them or let them talk?
"Bakit ka ba ganyan? Bakit ba ang tigas tigas mo? Ginagawa ko naman lahat para makabawi sa'yo, kulang pa ba?" She cried. "Hirap na hirap na ako, hindi ko alam kung may patutunguhan pa ba 'to—" she cried so hard her statements started to get chopped.
"Ano bang gusto mo gawin ko? Patawarin kita?" He replied with a question that she found hard to answer. "Tignan mo, pati ikaw di mo masagot—"
"Gusto ko. Sorry." She weeped.
"Leni, hindi naman ganon kadali yon. Kung nasasaktan ka ngayon, sorry, pero nasaktan rin ako. Alam mo yan." He followed.
"Ano bang gusto mong gawin ko? Ipaglalaban ko pa ba 'to? Sabihin mo naman para alam ko. Kase kung ako yung tatanungin gustong gusto ko ipaglaban ka." She confessed making him feel how sincere she was but the pain that he endured caused so much trauma to him.
"Wala na nga akong pakielam kung mukha akong tanga kakahabol sa'yo kase hindi ko alam kung pano ko mapapatunayan sa'yo na malinis yung intensyon ko." She broke down. "Hindi ko alam kung pano ko mapaparamdam sa'yo na totoo lahat ng sinasabi ko kase mahal na mahal kita at mahal na mahal parin kita kahit ang sakit sakit na." She bawled, she needed to put it all out before it all explodes.
Her words are just exactly what he needed to hear. Those words were all he ever wanted from her. Upon seeing her crying and all fragile in front of him, he started to feel so bad but he was just torn between his love for her and for himself.
For him, it was so brave of her to show how weak he makes her. It was something he never imagined himself doing ever in his whole existence.
"Hindi mo ba kaya ibaba yung pride mo para saakin? Ako kase wala nang ganyan eh. Mas gusto ko kase maging okay tayo." She complained emotionally. "Leni, I was hurt." He replied — still doing his best to act strong.
She hated how he was pulling it off when she already allowed him to see right through her amidst all the staffs and employees listening and watching them from the corners of the hall.
"God," she cussed in deep pain. She couldn't believe how he was pushing it.
"Hindi pa ba sapat yung pagmamahal mo saakin para piliin mo naman ako kesa sa pride mo?" She asked, his answer was just the one she needed to hear but then he decided to just keep it to himself.
She started to break harder as she heard no response from him. "I'm sorry." She cried. "Sorry kung hindi ako worthy enough para mas piliin mo kesa diyan sa pagkataas taas na pride mo!" Her voice had a force. She felt so exhausted already,
"Wag ka mag-alala, magtatrabaho parin ako ng maayos bilang bise mo. Hindi na ako manghihimasok sa personal mong buhay kung yan ang gusto mong setup. Makakaasa ka, president." She expressed her last words and walked away leaving him behind.
As she went out of his sight, Digong saw Yasay from the other side of the room. Yasay saw the sadness in his eyes, he felt bad for the two of them to end up that way as witnessed how their beautiful love grew from the very start.
To be continued...

Part 4 - First Dance
This is the fourth time Leni rejected Digong's invitation for a dinner. She did have valid reasons and excuses but it was just inevitable for Digong to feel a bit down about her. He courted several girls way back before and when they get to reject him for over two times, he just give up as he sees it as an indirect way of the girls to say I don't like you.
"Digong, anong balita?" Bong asked as he was eager to know if he was able to ask Leni to come with him on Dureza's birthday. "Kay Leni?" He followed.
"Ah? Ah." Digong replied. "Di ko pa natanong, malamang naman di yun pwede." He sounded so cynical. "Di niyo pa nga natatanong, hihindi agad? Tanong niyo muna." He cheered him up. "Sus, busy yon. Alam mo naman, minsan nga di ko masabi kung okay lang ba talaga sakanya yung agreement. Parang umiiwas nga siya, mas okay pa yata yung noon." Digong confided.
"Eh... try mo lang Digong. Baka naninibago lang." Bong countered and handed his phone. Digong sighed.
Leni was slouching at her chair in her office taking a break from her stressful work. She suddenly thought about Digong whom she rejected for so many times due to Bolet's cautions.
Sana man lang makabawi ako. Ilang beses ko na siya tinuturn down.
She spoke to herself as she gazed into the Ecuadorian rose that he gave her. She swiped her phone, she didn't have definite reason why, she just felt like she's expecting something she can't determine what.
Her phone rang startling her for a moment.
Digong calling...
It was probably what she was expecting for. She took a deep breath before she answered his call.
It was the third ring already, Digong felt like she won't be picking it up but surprisingly, she did on the fourth ring.
"Hello?" She answered. "Hello? Hello ma'am?" Digong replied. "Napatawag po kayo?" "Ah, sorry, may ginagawa ka ba?" He replied. "Ay, wala po. Wala naman. Okay lang po. Ano po ba yon?" She answered.
"Oh, tanong ko lang sana mam kung pwede ka bukas ng gabi. I hope I could bring you with me sa birthday ni Dureza." He courageously invited but he already set himself for another rejection from her. "Parang date ba, mam. Kung okay lang naman." He followed, it took her a while before she replied.
Bong looked at him hopeful to witness him being accepted by Leni.
Digong's heart broke as she didn't express her response right away, "Okay lang mam kung may gagawin ka naman. I was just hoping—"
"Sige, sir." She interjects startling him largely. "Uy!" Bong exclaimed as he heard her over the loud speaker.
"Seryoso mam?" Digong replied. "Yes sir. Bukas diba? Pwede naman ako." She finally found a way to make it up to him. Bong felt even more anticipated.
"Yes mam. Bukas ng gabi mga 7PM. Sunduin kita sa office mo mam?" He asked. "Sige, sir. Hihintayin ko nalang kayo bukas." She replied. "Okay mam. Sige mam. See you." He bid before their conversation ended.
Digong looked at Bong with so much surprise in his face. "Oh diba! Pumayag si babe mo, Digong!" Bong couldn't feel more excited for them.
"Di ko inakala. Kala ko irereject ako ulit." He stated. "Sunduin ko siya bukas sa office niya bukas mga 6 siguro." He followed. "Sige, Digong. Nakakaexcite 'to." Bong replied.
Leni picked a nice dress in the morning, a dresss suitable for the day and for Dureza's birthday before she headed to her office. It may appear unusual to her but a part of her felt excited to go to an event as Digong's date, hence, another part of her felt anxious as Bolet still haven't expressed his complete approval about it. She informed him about, her, going to the party as Digong's date so that he won't have to hear it from the other people.
The time passed by, Leni fixed herself, Digong arrived at her office around six to fetch her.
"Digong," she uttered upon seeing him. A sudden bliss in her heart sprouted as she saw him. "Hi mam—"
She kissed his cheek as a greeting; it startled him in a snap. "Ah... okay ka na mam? Pwede na?" He stammered. "Sige po. Okay na po." She nodded and walked by his side to his van.
He assisted her as she entered the car.
My God, I'm holding her hand.
He's holding my hand.
It was bizarrely a big deal to them but they kept it to themselves.
"Mam, salamat pala sa pagpayag." Digong stated as their mobile began to run. She smiled at him.
She kept checking her phone waiting for Bolet's response as she wanted to have a peace of mind and enjoy the evening with Digong too but Bolet didn't reply at all.
"Mam?" Digong extended his hand to her as they arrived at the event. It was very gentleman of him. As Leni went down the car, she was somehow blinded by the media surrounding outside the vestibule. Digong made sure he instructed the PSGs well to keep them off them as they enter the place.
The door closed shut next to them separating them from the cameras. He looked at her and saw the anxiety on her face. "Okay ka lang mam?" He asked. "Ha? Oo naman." She forced a smile but deep inside, she worried that the media might have took photos of them together and Bolet might see it on the public TV.
They walked further and began to greet their friends and colleagues — greeted Dureza a happy birthday.
They began to eat their dinner through a buffet, Digong assisted Leni and made sure she gets to eat what she wants. "May green tea cupcakes doon, kakalagay lang." He informed her as he went back to the table from the buffet. "Talaga? Saan?" She sounded so hyped. "Gusto mo mam?" He asked. "Oo, saan ba?" She replied.
"Kuha nalang kita," he stood up and took a few for her so she won't have to walk back and forth in heels. "Thank you, sir. Nakakahiya naman." She uttered. "Sus, Leni. Di naman big deal yan. You're my date, I should be serving you." He retorted making her blush.
"Asus, ang sweet naman." Martin pointed out before he greeted them. "Hi!" They replied upon seeing him. "Hello!"
"Buti nakarating kayo?" He asked. "Eh..." Digong sustained, "Buti nadala mo si Leni?" He followed, she chuckled. "Ano na ba?" Martin teased.
"Martin, ikaw ha?" She interrupts. "Nililigawan ka na ba ni Digong?" He asked her. "Uy!" She exclaimed feeling a bit shy to Digong, he chuckled. "Tagal na, siya lang naman may ayaw." Digong joins. "Sobra naman!" Leni defends playfully. "Ano lang... taking things slowly. Grabe kayo saakin." She added.
After a while, Dureza and his wife occupied the dance floor for a happy dance followed by a slow one. Leni watched the couple dance sweetly, she couldn't help but smile — it was very sweet of them, they look so in love. As she watched them dance, Digong watched her smile. It was a view that he always loved to see, a view he wouldn't get tired to stare at.
After the song for Dureza and his wife ended, the host began inviting the guests to join the two on stage for some sweet dance. They all brought their partners on stage, Leni felt a bit conscious, Digong had a second thought about asking Leni for a dance as he didn't want to oblige her or make her feel uncomfortable at anyway possible.
Dureza laid an eye on Digong and Leni left behind sitting alone on a banquet table. "Bakit hindi sumayaw yung dalawa?" He asked Yasay. "Di ko nga alam diyan kay Digong, ayaw pa yayain." He replied. Dureza knew he has to make them dance but he also considered how Digong loses guts when it comes to Leni.
He whispered and instructed his host.
"Okay! May we call on our president..." The host took their attention amidst the dancing. Leni felt a bit bothered as she is about to be left behind on the table.
"... and his stunning date slash vice slash girl, Ms. Leni Robredo." The host continued slightly surprising the two. "Ha? Ako?" Leni whispered and looked at Digong but they were both clueless of why they were called.
"Our birthday celebrant wants you on the dance floor with them." The host stated.
Digong looked at Leni, "Mam?" He asked for her permission, she smiled. "Okay lang ba isayaw ka?" He asked. "Opo naman," she replied lightly. She strangled her hand on his arm as they walked to the dancefloor to join the couples.
They stood face to face, Digong took her hands and placed it on his shoulders. "Okay lang mam?" He asked for her permission before he held her waists, she nodded. The beginning appeared so awkward but it was inevitable for them not to find it so sweet and romantic.
Smile won't leave their lips as they danced with the symphony of the orchestra playing Love Me Like You Do.
"Mam, kung di ka comportable sabihin mo lang, we can sit." He stated. "Okay lang, sir. Okay lang." She made sure he won't feel like she's not enjoying the moment. He pursed his lips and gazed at her.
"You're very beautiful," He complimented making her blush. "Thank you, sir. Nakakahiya." She gushed slightly. "Sus, totoo naman." He chuckled and continued gazing at her, he looked back at him and smiled.
"Kunwari pang mga ayaw magsayaw!" Dureza interrupts the intimate moment as they moved closer to them. "Napakaganda ni Leni oh," His wife pointed out. "Kaya naman pala ang lakas ng tama nitong si Digong." She added, Leni giggled in flattery.
Leni couldn't explain what she was feeling as her hands draped on his shoulders and his hands cupped her waist so gently. Butterflies swarmed her stomach, her feet felt so light and her surroundings slowed down. It was so romantic. Little did she know that Digong felt the same way that very moment, he wished that it won't end.
She felt so intoxicated, she took a deep breath and crossed her arms around his neck and laid her head on his shoulder bringing their bodies closer to each other.
"Salamat, sir." She uttered. "For bringing me here." She followed. "Basta ikaw mam." He replied next to her ears.
After a while, Leni moved her head causing them to exchange a sentimental stare that they barely noticed how their lips were just about an inch away from each other for quite a moment. Leni swallowed a lump on her throat as she looked at him in the eye. Their bodies froze like it was less than zero degrees, nothing seemed to matter than their presence.
But the music suddenly stopped causing a interruption to this intimate moment that they shared. They both looked at the sound system area.
The song just ended.
They looked at each other again awkwardly. "Uhm..." Leni uttered and smiled awkward at him. "Upo na tayo, sir?" She invited, "Ah, okay sige." He replied and walked by her side back to their seats.
Their friends smirked at them after seeing that moment. Leni pursed her lips to suppress her blushing smile.
Throughout the evening, Digong and Leni stole glances at each other, yet, they avoided talking about that sweet moment they just shared earlier to not make things awkward between them.
This evening together, this first date and this first dance they had appeared to be a turning point for them. Ever since this evening, they began to feel more comfortable with each other, they feared less to initiate an interaction and the beginning of affection sprouted.
