The Better Wizard Council
A new, better Wizard Council.
Council Policies:
- the unbanning of (non-bear-related) banned spells
- the banning of all bear-related spells
- the lowering of wizard tax rates, eventually leading to removing wizard taxes altogether (clarification that I approve of regular taxes, just not wizard taxes)
- better supplies available for spellcasting
- higher quality bones
- fairer wizard laws regarding the undead

Wizard biography:
Name: the aromancer
Most used spell: FIREBALL (keeps the gremlins out of my garlic patch)
Favourite spell: anti-love spell (of my own design)
I am content to live a simple life in my little cottage in the woods, and have some decent advice on how to keep people, pests and the fucking fey out of your garden/home I also sell potions of various types. I specialise in anti-love spells and spells to get people to leave you the fuck alone, wards and the like.
I offer free garlic bread and tea for anyone who comes to my little cottage in search of pleasant conversation regarding the finer points of the universe. If you can past the minefield that is.
(The minefield of kinda irrelevant, the munchkin worked out how to avoid it, and now I don’t remember where the mines are)
if you map out my minefield I will offer you a free potion from my extra-strong stash.

I know this is like a super random ask, and feel free to ignore it but like what are your thoughts on Yummori Louis being aroace
Omg, why is this random? I like questions like this. Much more than the ten-thousandth variation on "Does William actually like Sherlock discuss."
Anyway, I know you sent this a couple days ago and hope you are still around to see it.
My thoughts on this is that this headcanon comes from two places, either separately or in concert:
Not shipping him with anyone so going "why not, he can be aroace for exclusivity points, it's inclusive, right?"
Viewing asexuality and aromanticism as a lack of something instead of a presence of something
That first one really annoys me, and I also feel it's fairly self explanatory, so I won't get into it. The second one is not wrong or necessarily incorrect, but it is very foreign to how I, and many aces and aros I know, interact with our identities. I am sure some aroace people do feel that way, but it is not a common sentiment I personally have seen.
Does Louis express attraction to anyone in the series? No, not really. So, yeah, sure, he could be aroace.
Or, you know, he could just not be attracted to anyone he's interacted with in the series because he's very Type A and uptight and practical and serious and high-strung and virtually everyone else is some flavor of human disaster. Like I don't think any of them would be his type anyway?
Also most of the people he interacts with are kind of family to him and so he doesn't necessarily view them that way.
Louis also doesn't seem all that interested in partnered relationships in general, which is common (although not universal) for aroace people. Mood, me either. But he seems disinterested because he has a cause and a goal that overrides all other interests for him, not because it's partnered relationships specifically that don't interest him.
So Louis does not express attraction or interest in relationships. He has no indications of necessarily being allo or alloro. But there are other possible reasons for those things other than aromanticism and asexuality.
Asexuality and aromanticism are not things that I lack, they are not a marker of what I am not. They are things I have and things that I am. They are a presence of asexuality and aromancism, not an absence of attractions. It's not a category I was shuffled into by default of not expressing any other way to be. It is the way I am. It is an active thing.
And I don't know if Louis has a lot of real markers of being aroace. He could be. But he doesn't really seem to interact with allonormativity and amatonormativity in a way that feels like aroace people tend to, to me.
So I tend not to categorize Louis as anything other than "not straight because seriously."
