Hi!! Just saw your blog and wanted to say that no, if I remember correctly, he never explicitly stated his sexuality. I always hc that he is attracted to pretty and talented people lmao, bc Blaine was both pretty and talented, and I always took the little playful head nod to Rachel in the “I want u back” deleted scene as another, pretty and talented people is what he likes sorta deal. But again, there wasn’t any explicit confirmation so I think it’s safe to hc whatever. Hope that helps!

Hi!! I didn't think he came out and said it either. I've been thinking about how the framing shows that Seb is all about sex and living while he's young (yes, that was on purpose) and how that doesn't really give us a lot about his character. I also think it's kinda funny how this is supposed to be "bad" when Seb does it but not when Noah does it (which is an entirely different kind of bad since he's a minor or barely an adult getting with much older women but I digress).

Anyway! I've been thinking about how Seb could be one of three things. (1) Seb could be bi/pan/(another of similar theme) as you point out. This could also be noticed in the "sexual tension" between Santana and Sebastian in "Smooth Criminal", which I think can exist even if they both swing opposite ways because acting and getting into the song are things. (2) Seb is "gold star gay" and doesn't use SAM and is into men. (3) Seb does use SAM and identifies as aromantic as well as either of the above options.

As someone who is aroace and doesn't really see how monogamy is supposed to work long term, I think Seb could easily fall into the aro umbrella, especially with the way he is written in a lot of fics. Aromantics experience little to no romantic attraction, and the way I've found him in a lot of fics is where he has only experienced this attraction towards Blaine, which is nice as a trope of sorts, but I feel like it fails Seb on a level to not address this. Does he not date anyone else because he isn't attracted to them and doesn't see the point in a relationship with them? Does he try dating but feel like it's just a friendship with more work that isn't fulfilling enough to keep up? Does he try dating but feel guilty/bad that the other is more "into" or feeling "more" about him than he them?

[When I tried my two brief relationships, I felt guilty because they were a lot more "into" me than I them. I don't experience romantic attraction, so I don't really know how someone would feel about only feeling these feelings for one person. This is my extrapolation.]

OCCUPATION: Being a nepo baby, Sebastian has never worked a day in his life <3  CLUBS/EXTRACURRICULARS/SPORTS: Sebastian is co-captain of the Dalton lacrosse team. 

Sebastian was born in Westerville to two very wealthy parents, but was conceived in Paris. With his father a State’s Attorney from Ohio and his mother an extremely eclectic visual artist from France, Sebastian spent a lot of his childhood between the States and Europe. While Sebastian is the only child of his mom and dad, he has a lot of half siblings from his father’s many affairs over the years. The recent divorce of his parents and his mother’s new marriage certainly hasn’t made anything any simpler in that regard. All he knows is he’s the best looking out of them all.

Sebastian is perhaps the worst person you could ever meet. Rich, privileged, no-filter. It’s shocking he’s made it this far in life without getting punched in the face. He also had a reputation for being pretty sexually promiscuous, which is something he won’t deny. However, Sebastian has begun to notice that he seems to struggle with anything beyond random hook ups. Sex is great, he loves it, but he has never been able to make an emotional romantic connection with someone outside of it. He’s pretty sure he’s aromantic of some description, but is currently ensuring he’s too focused on school and Glee to think much about it. 

If you ask Sebastian’s dad what his son is doing at college, he’ll tell you he’s studying law. If you ask his mother, she’ll tell you he’s studying fashion design. Neither are true, Sebastian just has to lie in order to keep the two paying his tuition. He’s more than happy to be actually studying art management. It’s his dream to become the world’s most power-crazed agent one day. 

IS THIS WHERE YOU PICTURED YOURSELF RIGHT NOW IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS?

In Ohio? No, clearly not.. But apart from that, pretty much. I’ve always dreamed of working my way up in the arts industry so one day I can control it from the inside single-handedly and I get closer every day. The Warblers and the whole show choir thing as a collective also help, seeing just how deranged the types of people I’ll be representing one day can be. I’m building up my tolerance.

HOW’RE YOU FEELING ABOUT ALL THE SHOW CHOIR RIVALRY?

It’s hardly a rivalry at all. There are the Warblers and then we have…the other ones. They’re boring. Sloppy. Lazy. Yawning. The only other team I can even remember is the one that’s just the Warblers but I think they’re all lesbians now or something. It’s not a competition, but it’s really funny to see how hard they try. Endearing. 

WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A LIMA LOSER? WHERE EXACTLY IS YOUR LIFE HEADED, OR REALLY, WHERE SHOULD IT BE HEADING?

Well, for one, I don’t even live in Lima.  Westerville is significantly classier. Regardless, my life is headed on the up-and-up. The Warblers will dominate the season, I will continue to be one of the smartest people in my degree and so on and so forth. Do I have many friends? No. Do I have a great relationship with my parents or my 30+ half-siblings scattered across the globe? No. But I have a level of ambition only really seen in dictators, and a level of pettiness only seen in the antagonists of teen girl movies.

Bramley’s hulking body contains a shy, gentle, soft-spoken soul. He’s easily embarrassed and quiet around strangers, but is warm and open with his friends. He can be a little slow at times, but he’s intelligent in his own way and often understands what others miss. He grew up on a farm and loves animals.

He’s big and burly with very broad shoulders. He has a strong jaw but an otherwise boyish face, with blue eyes, light skin, and a shock of blond hair. He keeps himself neat and well-groomed. The son of OSM’s Headmistress, Elliott is known for both his magical skill and his hostile disposition. He isolates himself from his peers and spends most of his time studying.

Elliott is tall and thin with very little in the way of muscle because he avoids physical exertion like the plague. He has curly black hair, light skin, an angular face, and very dark eyes. He always dresses in nice clothes, which people chalk up to snobbishness, but really it’s just what he’s used to. His stomach swells easily and gets very round when he’s full. He can really stuff himself, but sometimes gets nauseous, especially when he’s nervous.

Ryder runs the Soothing Room, a responsibility which he takes very seriously. He likes things just so and manages to keep his world neatly organized while rarely losing his calm, compassionate cool. He’s very intuitive and easily picks up on the thoughts and feelings of others.

He is a broad and thickset man with dark brown skin and eyes. His dark hair is carefully kept in long, neat dreadlocks. He is strong believer in the virtues of the sweater vest. Ryder can keep up with the appetites of other trained di-mages, but doesn’t push himself much these days. However, nobody is better than he is at soothing full, achy tummies.

A song-mage with a penchant for mischief, Si relishes defying expectations. They love to perform, create, and amuse, and can’t resist a good practical joke. Sebastian was born in Westerville to two very wealthy parents, but was conceived in Paris. With his father a State’s Attorney from Ohio and his mother an extremely eclectic visual artist from France, Sebastian spent a lot of his childhood between the States and Europe. While Sebastian is the only child of his mom and dad, he has a lot of half siblings from his father’s many affairs over the years. The recent divorce of his parents and his mother’s new marriage certainly hasn’t made anything any simpler in that regard. All he knows is he’s the best looking out of them all.

Sebastian is perhaps the worst person you could ever meet. Rich, privileged, no-filter. It’s shocking he’s made it this far in life without getting punched in the face. He also had a reputation for being pretty sexually promiscuous, which is something he won’t deny. However, Sebastian has begun to notice that he seems to struggle with anything beyond random hook ups. Sex is great, he loves it, but he has never been able to make an emotional romantic connection with someone outside of it. He’s pretty sure he’s aromantic of some description, but is currently ensuring he’s too focused on school and Glee to think much about it. 

If you ask Sebastian’s dad what his son is doing at college, he’ll tell you he’s studying law. If you ask his mother, she’ll tell you he’s studying fashion design. Neither are true, Sebastian just has to lie in order to keep the two paying his tuition. He’s more than happy to be actually studying art management. It’s his dream to become the world’s most power-crazed agent one day. 

QUESTIONS

In Ohio? No, clearly not.. But apart from that, pretty much. I’ve always dreamed of working my way up in the arts industry so one day I can control it from the inside single-handedly and I get closer every day. The Warblers and the whole show choir thing as a collective also help, seeing just how deranged the types of people I’ll be representing one day can be. I’m building up my tolerance.

HOW’RE YOU FEELING ABOUT ALL THE SHOW CHOIR RIVALRY?

It’s hardly a rivalry at all. There are the Warblers and then we have…the other ones. They’re boring. Sloppy. Lazy. Yawning. The only other team I can even remember is the one that’s just the Warblers but I think they’re all lesbians now or something. It’s not a competition, but it’s really funny to see how hard they try. Endearing. 

WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A LIMA LOSER? WHERE EXACTLY IS YOUR LIFE HEADED, OR REALLY, WHERE SHOULD IT BE HEADING?

Well, for one, I don’t even live in Lima.  Westerville is significantly classier. Regardless, my life is headed on the up-and-up. The Warblers will dominate the season, I will continue to be one of the smartest people in my degree and so on and so forth. Do I have many friends? No. Do I have a great relationship with my parents or my 30+ half-siblings scattered across the globe? No. But I have a level of ambition only really seen in dictators, and a level of pettiness only seen in the antagonists of teen girl movies.
