I personally do ship house and Wilson just because haha gay
But as an pleasantly aromatic aromantic I do also like the idea that their friendship just transcends the standard friendship paradigm without being inherently romantic, and that you can be incredibly close to someone without wanting to shag/marry them. There's beauty in friendship that I think house did a better job of exploring than the beauty in a romantic relationship

if you, like me, are asexual or acearo - I cannot recommend enough “Is Love The Answer?”
It’s a shojo manga by Uta Isaki. The space imagery, the artwork, the lovable characters, the explanation of a sexuality, and the relatability of it all made me cry by page 11.
It feels good to finally get some explicit representation of myself in anime/manga.

not directly related to trans people but
asexual ≠ sex repulsed
hypersexual people can also be asexual
asexuality, along with aromanticism, is a spectrum
stop disrespecting microlabels

Okay, for aro awareness week, I need you all to start recognizing that:
NOT EVERYONE IN THE ARO COMMUNITY IS FROM THE UNITED STATES OR EUROPE.
Please, when we're having discussions about aphobia, allonormativity amatonormativity, and other issues for the love of god STOP PRETENDING THAT WE DON'T EXIST AND LISTEN TO US!
We aren't just your token aros that exist in the other side of the world just for you to prove that we are everywhere or whatever point you're trying to make, we are living, breathing human beings and members of the aro community and we deserve respect and to be remembered not as a point in your discourse but as equals.
I am sick and tired of people just assuming that everyone in the community is either from the United States or Europe and only centering those voices in the discussion. We exist too.

I love queer people who define themselves in unconventional ways. I love queer people who define themselves very specifically. I love queer people who refuse to define themselves at all. I love queer people who feel their definition of self has changed and will continue to do so. I love queer people who don’t know how to explain their identity, whether they want to or not. I love queer people who love other queer people and support their journeys no matter how different from their own.

this is a reminder that these wonderful websites exist:
aroworlds.org - aromantic stories and stuff, mostly by K A Cook. aroworlds is also on tumblr
digitaltransarchive.com - well, digital trans archives. yeah. you can read old documents, look at pictures of trans people from before. all the way to like 1700s. For example browsing by topic (they have a long list of them)
azejournal.com - aro/ace/agender multimedia journal. there are some interesting formats. but above all it's a nice way to read reflections about aspec people (do agender people usually get included in aspec? Uhm now they do I suppose).
alternativeto.com - it's just kinda neat. a useful website for finding alternatives to whatever website or app
I also have a decent list of coding related ones if anyone's interested (just send an ask or something)
and a decent list of Norwegian websites and apps. which yeah, send an ask or something.

I was realizing the other day as I was filling out an exchange thing, that some of my favourite romance tropes are arranged marriage, accidental/unplanned fae marriage, fake dating/relationship for a mission, and war prize au. And while I was rotating what appealed to them to me, I was like "okay, so, a story in which it's your job to be in a relationship with someone, like it's your job to kiss them, You Have To Do It, and this is what it takes for me to be like yes, this is a reasonable setup for a romance. I now understand why these people are in bed together. Continue with your story about how they have to hold hands publicly for the good of the nation." And then I was like "huh, is this the aroace showing through again".

I wish we would discuss alterous attraction more. The simple fact is: human attraction is so complex and diverse. It's so much more than sex, romance, and platonics. I constantly find myself falling short of words to describe what I feel. I constantly find myself isolated in attraction conversations because I very much do experience attraction, love, and the feeling of being "in love," but it's uncomfortable how frequently I see myself falling between the cracks when it comes to conversations about attraction and love because of how isolated my experience seems. It feels like no matter where I turn, whether in the queer or non-queer communities, I can't find myself. Not only am I lost in these conversations, but I find that people aren't listening. People choose to half hear me out and decide what my feelings are themselves and put them in their own, "much simpler" boxes. I get told I'm just making things complicated, I'm just confused, I'm too confusing... Just once, I'd like to see my love understood and valued like all the common loves so many people experience are. I love hard. Love is very important to me and my identity. I don't even know how to describe how over the moon I'd be if I could see conversations and poems and stories about the love I experience
