Large bronze pendant in the image of the Horned God, beloved of Wiccans, inspired by the Gundestrup Cauldron, with a bronze snake in his left hand and a silver torq in his right hand.
This piece is the first in planned series of increasingly intricate devotional images exploring the power and potency of this mysterious unnamed god.

USB-Pot February, 2011 Copper, Brass, Bronze, USB stick and old mouse parts
During my time at MassART, they had an annual a cross critique with the Main College of Art. Students would prepares an object based on a theme, and we meet up to critique them all. In 2011, our theme was vessels: an object which is designated to hold something.
My vessel was a teapot with a USB stick inside it. The teapot is a very traditional metalsmithing object, one which use to be a sort of rite of passage for amateur silversmiths. I wanted to use this language to create something with a bit more of a modern twist to it, so I scaled it down and wired up a 256mb USB flashdrive to a USB cord. Now instead of holding liquid, this vessel holds information.
----
Here's some more old work. I think I got the USB drive from PAX 2010. Wizards of the Coast had a booth and they gave away these rubber bracelets with USB drives in them. They had something like, 256mb capacity and came pre-loaded with an executable for Duels of the Planeswalkers.
Anyway, here's a WIP photo I found of it. (Courtesy of my shitty flip phone.)

The first of the four designs from my 2022 Pride Line: Sacred Sappho, divine ancestor of women who love women.
Sappho, on the off chance that you don't know her, was a poet from the island of Lesbos in the Aegean Sea, who lived and wrote in the seventh and sixth centuries BCE. Her work was taught as a pinnacle of poetic skill for centuries, well into the Roman Empire, until - through a combination of censorship, neglect, and luck - it was lost to the ages. No contemporary biography survives, and we are left with mere scraps of her estimated 10,000 lines of poetry, but her work has been associated with sexual love between women since the Hellenistic period. Now, she and the island from which she came are virtually synonymous with queer women and their experiences.
The image is based on one of the few surviving images of Sappho, a black figure vase painting from the late 6th century BCE.
* Made of solid .925 sterling silver or shibuichi (an art metal alloy made of 3:1 copper:silver), yellow brass, or red bronze.
* Available as a coin, with an upeye for use as a pendant, or with three jump rings for use in a rosary-style necklace.
Each piece is hand-made to order in my home studio, with unique variations and defects as a result of the fabrication and casting process.

Starting to think about my upcoming show with American Craft Made Baltimore. There’s a lot to plan and create ahead of a big show like this. I’ve learned over the years that starting as early as possible gives me the most flexibility to create my best work. The more time I have the more likely I am to take a creative risk and try something new. It seems that the closer a deadline approaches I start to focus on tried and true pieces and spend more of my time working on things I know have worked in the past. I’m really excited to be bringing some of the new work I created over the last few months to this show. Trying to stay consistent with my studio time every day!
