My words are poison. This piece has been sitting in my drawers for a while now. I can't recall what I was thinking when I first painted this, but I do remember the feeling. I am not sure if I have ever told you guys before, but most of the personal artworks that I do are often a product of very intense feelings. I don't share most of them because while they may look good to the untrained eye, my feelings during the time they were painted were often bitter and full of resentment. My art is often motivated by very intense feelings, and I am ashamed to say most of them are often a product of negative emotion instead of positive ones. Day 19 of #100daysofhealing . . Another great insight I’ve gotten from my experience during the rough times is, to make sure to feed your inner child!. . A great opportunity is to spend time with the younger ones in your family, if that is accesible to you. We decided to take our youngest nephews and nieces to the MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM 🍦and I made sure to play in ALL the games!. . I found this to be one of the best way to cultivate joy and take a break from the fear and anxiety that usually show up when I’m depressed. . It wasn’t easy, I was still anxious but for brief consecutive moments I managed to strip my armor and play.
