Idk there's so much to say about the growth of the characters in PJO so far. Percy getting optimistic about his dad and doubting his mom as he learns more about this world, but remaining as angry and defiant as ever. I'm positive we will see this develop further as his love for his mom really is one of his driving forces, but it is interesting seeing that hope that only a kid can have--maybe my dad does care?
And Annabeth being like "I dont want to be like you" like go off, I love her. Leah is playing an amazing character, full of sass and intelligence and no fear, just like Ares said. Except, maybe one fear--I loved the scenes between her and Walker. The two are playing the rising friendship of Annabeth and Percy so well.
And Grover! Brave and calm and so smart. Aryan's little "you think you're smarter and stronger and wiser, but you arent" smile is killing me.
I do hope they keep Percy as the one who discovers the truth about the master bolt because I think, while we have seen moments of greatness in Percy, we haven't seen that stark and critical intelligence as much, and I hope to see that.
But oh! Percy's fatal flaw. They are playing the selflessness and loyalty and love so fucking well and I'm obsessed.

Today, the word ‘Aryan’ is loaded with all sorts of negative connotation, largely due to Nazi ideology, Aryans have become associated with racial hierarchies that consider white, blonde, blue-eyed peoples superior.

Lucas de Heere, Wives and daughters.

i normally post about anime and kpop here but percy jackson is actually my childhood obsession and i was so fucking excited when rick announced that a new show was going to air on disney plus
i was especially excited because rick himself would be choosing the cast and overlooking the project, so the show wouldn't be like the movies. (the movies were great, just horribly inaccurate) when he announced that walker scobell (happy belated birthday to him) was going to be percy, i was like OMG YES HE'S ACTUALLY SO PERFECT
when he announced the casting for annabeth and grover as well, i was a little skeptical with the whole thing because the appearances weren't book accurate. and even tho i'm a little disappointed that we didn't get percy's iconic green eyes and annabeth's blond hair, i don't have a lot of complaints with leah, walker, and aryan because their acting makes up for it. aryan is the PERFECT grover, like someone make this man debut as a soloist with his first single 'the consensus song'
i get that the actors are only 15 years old and dying their hair would probably be very inconvenient, and for some people, wearing contacts can be uncomfortable, so i'm fine with leah and walker's natural appearances. and i never imagined grover to be a white ginger like the books anyway, so aryan is fine. but the fanart of leah-annabeth where the tips of her braids are blond are SO PRETTY and maybe rick and leah can consider it for the next season? idk, just getting her tips done even by spray would make it better appearance-wise i think.
ANYWAYS THE SHOW ITSELF IS SO GOOOOOOOOOD OMG i get that they can't fill the entire book in just one season so they would have to cut the fight scenes short, and i'm fine with that. i sort of expected medusa to have a thick accent, but thats just me. i LOVE annabeth's attitude and they even included the iconic "you drool when you sleep" I WAS SCREAMING OMG AND WHEN SHE WAS LIKE "the gods are gonna think ur impertinent!" and percy was like "i am impertinent" and "she's met a hero's fate" "she met a pinecone's fate" WALKER AND LEAH ARE JUST PERFECT OMGOMGOMG
i'm sorry but i'm back into my pjo obsession and you guys will be seeing fanart for the next few weeks.

Dhoom 2 (2006) random appreciation post.
• Aryan's thorough, well-prepared and curious personality.
Tumblr media
For his next robbery in Rio de Janeiro, along with his other preparations, he also takes out time to read the history of the place and understand the backstory as much as possible.
Tumblr media
Here, he can be seen reading the book 'The Conquest of the Incas' , referring to the Inca civilization in the region centuries ago. Be it for direct use in his robbery plan or just for general knowledge, Aryan surely leaves no stone unturned in his prep for any robbery. Plus, he loves gaining knowledge about everything he can to either satiate his thirst for information or to have an upper hand, or both.
This is a mere few second scene in the song 'My Name is Ali' within the movie, but it tells a lot about Aryan's nature, personality and mindset!
So, though Aryan is a lone international thief, this is how he stays up-to-date with everything - he reads a lot! About the past, present and future!

Okay but Aryan's absolutely gorgeous acting job in episode 6 has not been talked about enough. The utter hope and inspiration and determination on his face when he thinks Pan might be near--that was gut wrenching. Also I love this Grover so much--he's like, at least the animals are okay!
Aryan is doing a great job and I'm so excited to see that grow.

Tracing the roots of the notion of a supposed “Aryan race” can aid in comprehending how the Nazis distorted history and science to fuel their ideas of racial superiority. Who were the true Aryans and how were their origins corrupted?
