I answer on behalf of Prince Phobos in "W.I.T.C.H" ask. I'll try to show you the answer with him. English is not my native language, so there may be mistakes. Please be understanding.

Q: Phobos, do you remember when your magic first manifested itself? Tell us Q: So what actually happened to your parents?

Answer: 1) Magic? It was enchanting. It was as if I was born blind, and at that moment I received my sight. And I saw the world in all its splendor. 2) True, it was somewhat... destructive. 3) Mother didn’t appreciate it.

/The answer turned out to be large, I had to divide it into two parts. Therefore, specifically in this post there is little information about parents. Don't be alarmed, it's meant to be ;)

☀️Say hello to Queen Weira! ☀️

I did this mostly because I'm really fascinated by her character and my interpretation of it but there won't really be a chance for me to give her a whole special or side story in my Homecoming timeline but this seems to be a good opportunity to do so and also shine some alternative light to Weira character in fandom eyes

I will be posting some answers I've done so far , plus those I will be doing in the future

Answer: 1) After acquiring magical powers, I had to study for a long time. 2) In fact, the first burst of magic is almost impossible to control. It’s even surprising that the sister, with her huge reserve of mana... 3) managed not to create 4) some kind of disaster

P.S. Parents are alive. Elyon's magic only turned them into stone and teleported them to the ice caves of Torus Hilm. Monarchs can be de-enchanted. But to do this, you need to find the statue and understand what exactly caused the transformation.

Attempts to locate Weira and Zeiden as missing persons, living or dead, lead nowhere. Search spells and potions malfunction, producing unintelligible answers. The Stone of Threbe, alas, was found at the moment when the prince had no time for his parents.

In the series and comics there is no direct answer to what happened to them. So this is just my headcanon.

Stages of working on the third page:

A few words about why the prince’s magic is shown through plants. I just know from experience that not everyone associates a character with natural ability. In the series this is not stated directly: Elyon can cast thorny vines, and Phobos can use illusions, light streams, lightning and God knows what else :D

A difficult question indeed. I can’t say what exactly was the turning point, but I formed this headcanon.

Maybe it’s because the prince’s entire aesthetic is imbued with images of thorny roses.

Maybe because it was with the help of plants that he captured Elyon at the coronation and sucked out her magic. This was a turning point, very important for the prince, where it would be logical to rely on the force that you understand best.

Maybe due to the fact that he created for himself magical servants (whisperers), who were exactly like plants.

Somehow, from various fragments, the image of Phobos as a magician with predominantly plant abilities came together in my head: D

There's not much more to say at this point without spoilers. Much rests on the second part of the answer, which will most likely be ready by mid-October. I’ll just add: I really like the rocking hugong (like the horses of earthly children) and the meridian globe, on which a rosebud symbolically bloomed.

I specifically found a series where they showed a map of the world so that I could draw the continents similar :D

No headcanons about Escanor siblings, but here's a small wholesome one about Weira :

Even though c.h.y.k.n had next to nothing to do on Meridian at the time of her rulings, they where still put in charge to make occasional check-ups to see if everything is okay. During these, she tried to abstain some sort of friendship with them, but it really seceed only with Yan Lin and especially with Cassidy

She was exited to teach Weira about earthlings culture, but the thing that blew up queen mind the most was their music. So she would ask Cassidy to bring a new vinyl record every time they came

(the trouble is that nobody on Meridian understood how to proreply dance to this, so Weira would just sit in the room listening to it. Alone. Completely still.)

1. Were they inspired by the queens' supposed appearances in the comics?

Yes! Absolutely! In their design I was orienting on their breaf depictions on queen relm(?) and other small depictions like portraits for Alhana and Leonor.

The most easy one of course were Weira and Leryn since they already had their designs, but for others- I wanted to give them more distinct ditales, more then just a big dress.

I think most intresing for me was Leonor because I wasn't sure how it was possible for queen to have such distinct meridians fetures, while being suranded by her ancestors and descendants who look normal.

And the hardest was Alhana, for two reasons

First - she has saimoltenyusly similar and also very opposite colors in her dress. And my poor poor brain could not figure out were to put red and were to put burgundy 

Second - I had a problem with her hair, since the whole story takes place in show universe and she is Weira's mother I wasn't sure if she should be blonde (like in comics) or red headed (like in show flashback). But, after having discussion about this in in wonderful w.i.t.c.h discord - I settled on red

2.  Are they all the queens in your lore history or are these just some of them?

Yes, they are all queens in " homecoming " lore story and most of their stories are influenal to the plot, do much so that I don't think I can highlight any of them in particular, since they all done their share amount of questionable stuff in their lifetime. I think I still struggle with the question "if they are the only ones", since they are the most influential, but the thought of there being just five of them doesn't sit right with me, and so I think there will be presented other queens in the future.

But the most important lineage of Leonor>Alhana>Weira will still be kept the same

3. Which one of them do you think Elyon likes the most (I guess aside from Weira...)?

I suppose if Elyon would ever find time to read about all of them (which would be hard, with the things which will be happening in the story at the time of her ruling), she would probably find it hard to relate to most of them, especially if she will need to pick one as role model for herself.

In the end she will probably settle with Leryn as the least problematic one.
