You didn't bother me at all, but wow I did not expect to wake up to this. Somebody actually traced my artwork and tried to pass it off as their own? I never thought I would see it. I tried looking to see if I could recognize any artists that I know but I couldn't. Regardless, I am pretty sure those other fanworks were traced anyway. I really don't know how to feel or know what to do, I'm so confused here. But thank you so much for letting me know that this was happening. I'm okay with my art being used as a guide or reference and such but I do not appreciate having it be taken and claimed as their own hard work.

Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to get to this - mainly because I actually couldn't think of an answer. I don't see much I object to on my dash and I'm fine with people having different head canons from me - I guess most of the time I'm fairly easy going.

Having said that, one head canon that's pretty common is Leopika acting as parents towards Killugon. (I'm not sure if that's what you mean by stereotype or generalisation, but it's something many people seem to enjoy.) I personally really don't like this one! Because to me, the friendship between the main four is one of equals and respect, not a parent/child thing. If anything, Gon and Kurapika have had some issues in common, and both Killua and Leorio have wanted to help each one of them find a better way.

As a parent myself, the last thing I see is any of those four being a parent to any other of them!

I guess another generalisation is that Gon is selfish, but these days I see more people defending Gon than actually believing that's his personality. Gon is very kind, goes out of his way to help others, and like many of us (definitely me), can also become extremely focussed on his goal to the exclusion of all else. That focus can become selfish and blind him to others. (I relate.) But that's not his heart in my opinion. Gon is deeply caring and that is also where some of that focus (and anger) comes from, when those he loves are harmed. There's way more to this than I'm going to attempt to get into here (and others have written a great deal about it). Suffice to say that not everything is black and white, plus people are flawed, and Togashi is really good at showing nuance and subverting tropes. To say Gon is selfish and leave it there is inadequate and gives a false impression in my opinion.

What are your opinions about Dess? Especially in the wake of the Spamton Sweepstakes?

OKAY so Dess…..I don’t know. I like her, she seems super cool and like a very lovely sister. I really don’t have any ideas or clues yet of what could have happened to Dess, but the only clues we have is that it happened at some point in their early childhood, cuz it’s been a long enough time for Noelle to be somewhat “normal” or functional during school, and for the town to die down on talking about it. I’m assuming if she disappeared, it would be the talk of the town for ages, but no one aside from Noelle briefly mentions Dess. Some say she’s the voice singing “I’m with you in the Dark” or that she’s the one asking for help from within the code, and from what Spamton says in the shop when he’s like “is anyone there…? Help…”. But I’m not so sure yet. I think she’ll really be an integral part of the story, perhaps even a connection to the angel. It’s possible she might even be the knight? But I’m not sure. It’s all up in the air still.

I do really like her as a character though, she seems really fun.

Um--that's a tough one. Most of my pieces don't get that much notes. I have like, one or two that broke 100 notes. But I would say my Welcome to the Woodland characters and my Sonichu redesigns. Those are some of my best works and it kinda sucks that they didn't get as much attention as I would hope.

So my next answer would be amber!

Above is an amber carved into the shape of a bear, looking quite like a gummy bear. Next to it is a piece of amber containing bark, an ant and a FREAKING DINOSAUR TAIL!!!! It's a fossil that contains a fossil and has that nice orange translucence I also crave from Citrine. But remember, folks, don't buy amber from Myanmar. It funds conflict. Also shout out to Schalenblende! You look like a fungus that grew out of a coffee stain and I love you for it! You might be noticing a colour pattern...

I was wondering if you have any book, blog or website recommendations for those who would like to explore the dragon path?

Also, why is it that DJ. Conways books are so divisive? She was the first one I came across, but I'm wary now that I've seen so many negative opinions.

Hey there! I've been meaning to compile a list of resources for this very thing.

One of the issues is that there's not really any books that are 'one size fits all' when it comes to draconic paths. Some people have had very good results with Conway's works, while people who came to working with dragons on their own find that Conway's ideas don't line up with or even are in opposition to their own experiences. This "presenting UPG as Universal Fact" is one of the things I look out for in my Dragon Magic Book Reviews, which is unfortunately quite common in a lot of the dragon magic books that have been coming out.

There are a couple website resources I do recommend. Topaz Drachen's Dragon Dreaming Wordpress blog has many articles and lists of resources, along with posts about Topaz's own experiences.

The Circle of the Dragon isn't magically-oriented, but has lot of good articles about mythological dragons, their histories, different types, and has some excellent commentary on the topic of dragon colors.

For some old school OG dragon magic, one of the oldest online resources I know of is J'Karrah's Clan of the Dragon website.

Unfortunately, a lot of the dragon path tumblrs that had troves of good information have gone inactive; you can occasionally find an intact post that someone reblogged, but the big dragon magic resource posts are full of dead links. Dragonology-101 is one of the few that still has easily-found posts, but the mods aren't very active these days.

It's not terribly comprehensive, I just got back from vacation, but I hope this helps! I will take some time later down the road to make a an updated list of resources. Wayback Machine is gonna get one heck of a workout.
