OK so an editor I submitted one of my short stories to devoted a series of same-day exchanges to one of my stories saying they really like it but might want it for a different project than I sent it to (maybe if the judges agree)? But the word limit is shorter so I had to cut stuff. Why do I always have to do that to get published urrrggh.

I was actually once asked to make something longer after an editor accepted it and I honestly thought I was hallucinating. Every other time it’s like “but :) this is long :)”

Anyway I guess if they like it I’ll have finally found a place for my story about a pair of ace-spectrum cosmonauts. (One is ace aro and one is demigray and genderqueer and they are in a queerplatonic relationship yo)

Hooray for space aces! (Somehow no one ever says that in the story)

Someone in the story wears a shirt that says “ASTROQUEERS” on it though. lol
