Headcanon that Leo really loved to give his family massages growing up. We know that he’s good at them from the episode “You Got Served” and we know he likes spas and relaxation and getting massages himself from when he tried to get these in “Bad Hair Day” and from when Donnie made a tennis ball massage machine in “Smart Lair.”

So I think it’d be cute to think that maybe one day Leo overheard Splinter complaining about a bad back and immediately Leo thinks back to a comic or movie or something he saw where a massage helped so he offers to give one and it actually ends up helping Splinter.

Then April swings by the Lair at a later time and mentions her back hurting because of her backpack from school and Leo’s all like “I gotcha!”

From there, he occasionally manages to convince Donnie to sit for one because Donnie’s shrimp posture does not help him any (Leo pokes fun at how sandpaper-y Donnie’s shell is despite knowing it’s always like that and Donnie smacks him for it.) Donnie usually prefers hand massages instead however as all his typing and inventing adds up over time, and shoulder massages too once he starts wearing his battle shells more. Leo also figures out how to give massages to Raph and Mikey’s shells as well, though it’s a struggle at first to not scratch his hands on Raph’s spikes.

I think since Leo has such bad luck with spas and the like, he tries giving himself massages (though it’s not as helpful.) Like, with how his abilities work his legs are probably always aching from his portal jumping and one foot landings, so maybe he branches past back massages out of a need to help his own aches too. (Though he really wants a shell massage himself, the same way he’d give them…the one time with Donnie’s tennis ball massage machine was but a short moment of what Leo’s been missing out on and what he’ll continue missing out on…)

I don’t know, I just think it’d be cute to think Leo could have honed his massaging skill this way in order to help out his family (and also partially because he wants a massage himself.)

Thinking bout the time someone yelled at me because they didn't understand butches.

#feeling some kind of way about telling queer stories lately #and what makes something “queer enough”#which. in my opinion is that any story I tell is queer enough because I am a queer person telling stories about queer characters #but there are always going to be people who call that into question if boys arent kissing boys and girls arent kissing girls #in easy uncomplicated ways #looking glasses is meant to be messy #everyone is at turning points in their lives. they're young adults whose identities and relatio ships aren't fully formed yet #but those complications (in my opinion) are what make the story queer #what are dess's pronouns? she/her but only because she hasnt had a chance to think about anything else #when an overbearing mother got her daughter back after they were missing for years #she might have a hard time adjusting to her child maybe not being her “daughter”#which is queerer: two women getting together or breaking up?#i dont think it matters #but I find these in between spaces interesting to explore #and it's my story that I'm doing for free #so even if dess looks too much like a man #i dont owe it to anybody to conform my story to someone else's expectations #(long ramble that probably isnt very coherent)#(i've just been thinking about some of this stuff lately. and this is the funniest response I've ever gotten to the comic)#(like yeah. she is a girl. good job!)#(i dont often get hate on the comic (which I'm glad for) so whenever I do I find the types of hate really fascinating)#(and dont worry. why is everyone pretending like cyberpunk edgerunners is good. the writing is so bad i hate it

#i'm rewatching it for the third time 😋#i remember seeing a post i think from demilypyro abt how 2077 was a shitty game that everyone forgot how bad it was because of the anime #and the anime is terrible #all of the reviews online call the ending sad but it's literally just 🧍‍♂️ okay so. big whoop.#which would've been great for like to explore the futility of doing jack shit in this world bc it can be taken from you like that #they did a good job of this in the first 6 episodes before the timeskip #but the timeskip ruins everything #and u have to balance how unsatisfying that kind of thing is w the reality of that's just how it is #but NO #it's SAD because EVERYONE DIED #we didn't get a chance to slow down with the characters and get an update post timeskip #and the timeskip negates everything interesting about lucy (my fave 4evr)#and it changes her from a strong independent character that's scary good at her job because she was a lab baby and trained since birth and #an archetype of character i like in cyberpunk (a character that looks sexy without sexualising themself or getting sexualized by others)#(and in context most people wear something similarly revealing regardless of gender or presentation and modesty is the outlier)#wait i take that back she does flirt with david in her introduction scene. but i think it was done tastefully to show that she's confident #in herself and her abilities. and not in like an i'm hot do what i want way. we see her in the same episode being genuine and vulnerable #on multiple occasions. and then it reveals she was just buying time for her group to ambush him #she's a really interesting and cool character guys i swear #but the timeskip takes that and turns her into a stay at home expecting mother damsel in distress wanting to settle down and start a family #and the domesticity is so disturbing bc its like. i guess she wants to leave the edgerunner life behind to live on the moon.#BUT THAT'S SO MUCH DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY DID HERE #she doesn't pass the bechdel test anymore suddenly. who is she #they mischaracterised my blorbo so bad #it's like their writing budget got slashed mid show.

A little appreciation post for my dad for fathers day cause i love him and im very greatful to have a dad who loves me and is in my life and one of my favorite memories is that when he bought his first house two years ago he wanted me to be the first person to step foot in the house aside from him cause i always believed in him and he knows hes not perfect and has made mistakes but i couldnt ask for a better dad.

#he always wanted the like nice house with rooms for all of us kids and a nice big yard and he tried but the rescession and divorce #and family loss and trying to get upward movement in his job without a degree didnt always allow for that but he tried #and i told him id always believed he'e get a house one day and itd be all his and he did and when it happened he got me #on a cross country train so thatd id be there i literally sat right next to him as he signed the papers and got the keys #and i find it interesting cause the first time o saw it it looked exactly like the house from my dreams like down to the layout it #it was just all so meant to be #and while i dont physically see him as much and id like theres never a day were i dont get a text or call or instagram reel sent and he #often tells me abt how proud he is of me and how he loves me and hes always believed in my dreams and anything i want to do and im also #really proud of him cause hed told me before he never wanted to be like his father who was not around and the breif time he was wasnt good #and hes never been like thats hes alwayd been loving and caring and supportive and trys the best he can hes always been a great dad #and i know not everyone gets that or even gets to have a dad so im very very greatfull that i do

re: "good girl" i think they say it once randomly as a joke and its just one of those things that gets him wayyy more than they expected it would. so now its their secret weapon and they use it very sparingly and every single time he gets super embarrassed about it but it works ill tell you what.

Life is.. a lot right now

the biggest thing about X6 is not that he doesn't think of himself as human (though he doesn't, and according to some it's correct) BUT that he doesn't see himself as a Person
