ミ♥︎OUR LAST SUMMER | NETEYAM SULI
Tumblr media
❥Summary: You were never allowed to leave the lab, especially to venture off into the forest. However, one day you get a extreme urge to go to the river and that’s where you met him. The man who would surely be your downfall. ❥Word Count: 8k ❥Tags: obsessive tendencies, love struck Neteyam, mild manipulation, jealous!neteyam, interspecies relationship, wingman!Lo’ak, smut, fingering, oral, p n v, choking (slightly), mild angst. Am I missing anything? Lmk! ❥Author’s Note: This can be seen as a part one to a future fic of mine ‘Mated for Life’. S/O to me for finally remembering to add a word count LMAO. This is inspired by an older fic of mine so I’m kinda copyrighting myself😎
Neteyam knew from a young age everything would fall on his shoulders, that all the responsibilities of an adult would be his to bear. It made him pretty fucking miserable to be honest, but he would never let it show. It made him a better person in many ways, a better son, a better warrior, and a great brother. It did not make him happy nor did it make him forget the loneliness he felt.
Lo’ak always claimed he was misunderstood but Neteyam dare say he had it worse. No one viewed him as other than perfect, no one attempted to see what’s under the surface, and no one was there to love him in the ways he thought he deserved. Today was one of the days that proved he wouldn’t be anything other than the perfect soldier. Another day he had to take the blame for something he did not do.
His brother had snuck onto the battlefield and nearly killed them both. The second their ikrans landed his father had a speech to give to them both, even while his eldest son was bleeding. He took the blame as he always did, the yelling, the insults, and the beratement to protect his younger brother. How much more could he take though? After his wounds had been healed he found himself in the corner of the forest, knees pressed tightly to his chest.
Neteyam prided himself on not being weak but today he let the tears flows. He let the river attempt to wash away the burden that he had no choice but to carry. Neteyam wanted someone, just anyone, to understand him. That is what he prayed for from Ewya, even though the great mother did not involve herself in petty things such as this, he hoped she would this one time.
You had grown up on Pandora, your mother being one of the great scientists who worked with Grace Augustine and Jake Sully. She didn’t allow you to venture outside often like spider, you were too small, too precious to her to risk being harmed in the wilderness. In your opinion it was a load of bullshit and you deserved to play with the Na’vi kids just like him! Except now you were older, inexperienced, out of shape, and would probably die by a viper wolf attack.
Unfortunately for her you were born with rebellion in your heart and a strong sense of will. Dusk had fallen on the moon and the light from the windows inside the lab were beginning to fill the room's orange. It was one of the rare moments you were able to be completely alone. It was a strict rule to return to your room after biology lessons with Norm but you had plenty of time to stroll. Right now, your mother would still be aiding the warriors returning from the recent battle. It was prime time to make an escape and explore.
You first met Neteyam in a very compromising position, curled up by the stream and sleeping. There was a subtle stain on his blue skin from tears that were shed earlier. He looked pathetic, not in a bad way, in an abused puppy way that made your heart melt. How could you leave him out here all alone? Granted, he was twice your size and carried many weapons but that thought did not ease the ache in your heart. No one should ever be left alone to cry. You crawled next to him and gently placed a hand on his shoulder to shake him awake. “Neteyam?” You whispered into his ears.
His eyebrows began to furrow slightly, ears twitching in the direction of your voice. “Neteyam, wake up.” He jumped up and snatched your wrist, startling you. “Brother?!” His eyes scanned the surroundings quickly and you before settling with a confused expression plastered on his face. “S-sorry Lo’ak isn’t here,” you mumbled out. You knew the former vastly better since he visited the lab so often, all you knew of the eldest was stories.
Neteyam’s quickened breathing settled, his eyes scanning over your form. Which human were you? You were too pretty to be another scientist, too young to have lived here during the war. It took him awhile of staring at you for his brain to finally put it together, “star girl.” His hands released you slowly as his mouth hung slightly agape, why in Ewya’s name would Lo’ak hide you from him? He had seen you in passing once or twice but he didn’t realize you looked like this.
Neteyam never considered an alien could be beautiful but you proved him very wrong. You had the perfect lips, your eyes glistened with his reflection inside your pupils. Your hair fell perfectly, highlighting your pretty face. And from what he could see from your strange clothes you had a nice body too. “Lo’ak told me many things about you, all good so far.” He quickly cleared his throat, pulling his hands away to wipe the tears from his eyes. This was embarrassing, but he was going to push through it.
Two tiny, four fingered, hands cupped his cheeks. Your skin was warm, soft and distracting him from his original thought. “Are you alright? Was someone being cruel to you?” You regretted the last sentence as it stumbled out, he was just in a battle you idiot! Oh Ewya, help him because you sounded like the angels his dad spoke about. Neteyam was too dumbfounded to say anything coherent, maybe too starstruck by your presence.
You weren’t necessarily wrong, his father did hurt him deeply. His mother hurt him by not standing up for him either. The most perplexing part was you cared to ask, your tiny self risked being in these dangerous lands just to see if he was alright. Neteyam forced himself to nod slowly, not entirely sure how to react to such comfort.
Perhaps this wasn’t the best thing to do but your mother always comforted you in this way. You had even done this to Kiri a few times when she came to the lab to cry about her own problems. Gently, you swiped the tear tracks from his face, pressing two gentle kisses where they laid. “Don’t cry, you’re an amazing warrior, a good son, an even better brother. You finished your Rite of Passage before anyone else your age. You have so much more to offer than just those things and they’re just too blind to see it. And so many people love you like-”
“My child,” the sounds of your mother's cries echoed in your ears. Shit, she knew you had escaped. You let go of him quickly, preparing to run into her arms and feign innocence. Before you left though, you jumped onto him, arms embracing his frame the best they could. “You're perfect, okay? I’m always here to talk if you need it." You jumped to your feet, brushing off the dirt you had collected whilst exploring. "I gotta go... feel better!"
Neteyam sat up and watched you scurry away, his eyes were wide and time had stilled around him. Where the fuck have you been his entire life? His heart felt full in a way it hadn’t before, Neteyam’s stomach twisting around itself. The thoughts of your little hands, your little frame, your sweet voice and soft lips swirling in his head. You were so… perfect, so inviting… You had to be his.
He had never truly thought about having someone all for himself, especially an alien. But even the perfect son needed to indulge his own desires at times, even the hardened warrior needed to be held in times of sorrow. At this moment all he could think about was stealing you away, keeping you safe in his home, protecting you from the dangers of this world forever. He needed more, desperately and as soon as possible.
Neteyam pulled himself up, with a new found confidence he ran home. It was time he talked to his parents about finding a potential mate.
The talk went about as well as Lo’ak claiming his ikran. He mentioned he had found someone, and he was prepared to finally choose a mate. His parents rejoiced, the proud look they reserved for him finally returning. Until he mentioned that it was you, and the light drained from their eyes, the colors fading from their faces.
Neteyam’s idea was shot down faster than he could manage to speak it. You had an avatar body in that damn lab and he knew it! You could easily become one of the people like his father and be his mate. Why was his mother so against it? His father at the very least gave it some thought before succumbing to his mother’s rants.
It wasn’t her fault she was traumatized, but it was hypocritical considering his father was an alien when she met him. Fine, Neteyam was used to a challenge and he would claim you before they had another chance to say no. Hopefully this time around his love for you would override his fear of disappointing his parents.
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
The next time he came across you was far after eclipse, everyone in his home was fast asleep while he made his move. It was incredibly hard to sneak out of the camp, even harder to sneak into the human camp. Your stupid cameras and metal monstrosities make it nearly impossible to creep through, let alone into you. Neteyam vaguely remembered where Lo’ak claimed you slept, in moments like these he was grateful his brother had his back.
The more he tiptoed around the camp the angrier he became, were you even real or was that a fever dream? He stumbled onto a group of tree metal homes stacked against each other. Carefully, he peeked his head into each one searching you out. To his disappointment the first two were occupied by a snoring Norm and a drooling Max. It took him one more attempt before he finally saw your sleeping figure.
You were so adorable, all bundled up in the things called sheets and holding a pillow tightly to your chest. It made his soul melt at the sight, Neteyam wasted no time welcoming himself inside, pushing the first door open and closing it tightly behind him. If he let any air in from the outside you may die before he got the chance to touch you again. Thankfully, the next door was easier and much quieter than the first.
Neteyam had to crouch as he approached you, ignoring how terrifying he probably looked. He outstretched one of his long fingers to brush a strand of your hair out of your face, admiring the peaceful view in front of him. If Ewya allowed it he could stay and watch you sleep all night but your air was already taking an effect on his lungs.
“Yawne… wake up,” he gently placed a hand on your shoulder, urging you awake. You were an incredibly light sleeper, your eyes shot open and you jumped back as if you were about to scream. Neteyam quickly shoved a hand over your lips, bracing the back of your head with the other before it crashed against the wall. “Shhh, shh yawne, it’s Neteyam.”
You crooked your head to the side, watching him closely. Obviously pondering why he invaded your space at such a late hour. “Neteyam,” you murmured into his hand, confirming if this was a dream or reality. A wide grin blessed his features, “good morning, baby girl.” He heard that nickname from his father, and by the blush on your cheeks it worked quite well. “What are you doing here?”
You rubbed your eyes, gazing out the window, “it’s after eclipse...” you drawled into a yawn. His entire body language shifted, excitement coursing through his veins. “I’m always too busy during the day to visit so I thought now would be the perfect time.” You sat up on your bed, he reached up and brushed the hair out of your face again. His eyes were completely memorizing, and he touched you with the gentleness only your mother did. “O-okay.”
Neteyam smiled at you with such kindness, even with his size you didn’t feel threatened in slightest. “I thought since you never get to go out I would take you tonight. Of course, you would be under my protection the entire time.”
Your face lit up, you could finally leave and see what’s outside these dull walls. But at the back of your head the sound of your mother's voice telling you what not to do rang strong. The fear of disappointing her was even stronger and the fear of potential punishment. “I- I can’t.”
“No one will find out, I promise.” His amber eyes peered up at you with the same heart wrenching expression as the other day. “You wouldn’t want to make me sad, would you? I- I just thought you would want to spend time with me.” It was manipulative, he knew but it worked flawlessly with you. Neteyam would make up for this one transgression later. “Fine, just wait for me outside please. " you said in a nervous whisper.
Neteyam didn’t take his eyes off you as you slid into your “outside” clothing, at some point he would need to get you actual ones instead of the odd human fabrics that cover too much. You hastily slipped your mask on, taking in a deep breath as you did. He hated that thing, hopefully soon he could get rid of it. A very subtle, almost unnoticeable feeling of butterflies filled your stomach as you exited the lab.
“You ready, baby?” The word sounded foreign on his tongue but music to your ears. You nodded in excitement, letting Neteyam grasp your hand and pull you along. He was gentle with you no matter how much excitement was coursing through his veins. You moved in unison through the thick leaves, granted he whisked you off your feet anytime you seemed to falter. The farther away from the encampment you got, the happier you became.
The forest was naturally lit with bioluminescent flowers, vines, and grasses of all kinds. The noise of animals coming out to play filled your ears and for once it did not frighten you. Neteyam was basking in your joy, your voice carried only the excitement of someone innocent to this world. And when you glanced at him? It felt like Ewya herself had sent you to make his heart ache.
To avoid any possible maimings or accidental injuries he kept you very close to him. If Neteyam’s arm was not around you then his hand was on yours. The warmth you radiated felt like his only life source. To your surprise, he was naturally funny and laid back. You had only assumed he was cold, stern and serious, this must be a side of him he only showed a few.
You spoke with him more than anyone, babbling about everything you saw, heard or felt. It may seem obnoxious to others but to him it was like a melody being played by a flute. Each time you squeezed his fingers he felt the blood rush to his head, pounding at his skull in the most beautiful way. You had completely and irrevocably captured his heart.
As the evening progressed the original point of this journey was almost lost to the daze you put him in. Instead of immediately taking you to the sacred place he opted for the stream where you originally found him, you could call it a second, better, impression. It was memorizing in the eyes of a girl who never got to leave her cave of comfort. The fish glowing beneath a gentle stream, a waterfall glistening under the light of several moons.
But this place would be the start of your inevitable downfall. It started off as a dare that turned into swimming half nude with a man twice your size. You let the water flow past you, cradling your body in its warmth. Neteyam was a better swimmer than you, granted you had never gotten the chance before. You chased him in circles below the surface, quickly becoming distracted by the fish that swam by.
The orange was your favorite, reminding you of the sunset. His favorite was the yellow, said it reminded him of you because yellow was the color of happiness and you made him happy… It was a very sappy way of flirting but it worked. Neteyam spent most of his time indulging you on what you wanted or asked the entire night and he did not mind for one second.
You asked him personal questions no one else dared to, further carving your way into his soul. If he thought he knew what love was before he was terribly wrong. Whatever you were doing to him was much worse in all the right ways. It was about the time he came to the realization, staring into your eyes and seeing your future together, you started to nod off. Your eyes become droopy, yawns escaping your throat every other sentence.
Neteyam would stay like this forever if he could, drowning in your existence. Your health was more important to him though and you desperately needed sleep to survive. You tried to fight him off when he said it was time to go, whining to stay here forever. It was cute, and he almost didn’t make you leave, until another adorable yawn left you.
He whisked you off your feet without protest, wrapping your legs around him so he could carry you home. You felt embarrassed at first, realizing you probably looked like a baby being carried by their mother. But then you began to feel his breath on your neck sending goosebump down your spine, long fingers wrapping around you to keep you in place. The low, deep, whisper of his voice telling you sweet nothings echoing in the walls of your mind.
A new sensation washed over you as Neteyam’s lips brushed against your ears ever so slightly. A sweet ache between your legs that progressively got worse the longer he held you. You attempted to pull away, embarrassed he could feel the heat, but he easily overpowered you. Neteyam was determined to keep you in place, as close to him as humanly possible.
He paused his stride, gazing at you for a moment and then back to the forest ahead. You avoided his eyes, but you could feel the smirk creep onto his face. He didn’t say anything on the way home, deep in thought it seemed. However, you could hear his breath becoming ever so slightly heavier.
Neteyam should be a good little soldier and take you home and feign ignorance. He noticed every sound, every look, every smell, every movement coming from you. The warm feeling across his waist that was driving him to the brink of insanity. His own arousal was bound to be noticed the second he put you down… How far could he go with you before he was stopped? You wanted him and why should he not give you what you wanted?
Sneaking back inside the second time was easier than the first, and this time he intended to stay a little longer than necessary. You were drowsy, too tired to change yourself into dry clothing. You probably told yourself he was used to seeing people in less clothes and that it was nothing to Neteyam. Oh how wrong you were. He managed to keep quiet though, attempting to avoid the thing between his legs.
“Time for bed, yawne.” You threw yourself onto the bed, melting into the mattress. Sleep evaded you, the wetness between your legs making it unbearable to get comfortable. To your surprise, he climbed on top, hovering mere inches from your face. “You okay, baby girl?” His ears twitched, Neteyam’s tail betraying his thoughts. There it was again, the foreign nickname that rolled off his tongue like honey.
You crossed your legs together tightly, “I-I’m okay.” He cocked his head to the side, bringing a finger up to brush your face. “I can help you if there’s something wrong,” he purred. You gulped, opening your legs ever so slightly to make a little more room, but that only made the ache worse. His knee found its place between your thighs, applying pressure to the one place you were trying to avoid.
You turned away and evaded his gaze. You felt like a complete idiot, a grown woman acting like a horny teenager, it was disgusting! However, when you looked back at him he was still looking at you expectantly, waiting for you to ask for his help. His knee moved forward once more, you bit your lip to avoid the sound attempting to escape. “I can show you what helps me, yawne.”
He whispered lowly, you didn’t have time to think, or reply before his lips were connecting to yours. You attempted to push him back, tell him no, this was wrong, and you could get in so much trouble. But the feeling of his legs between yours was easing whatever plagued you. A sound of pleasure escaped you before you could stop it, and that seemed to embolden him.
His lips pressed harder against yours, the sweetness of his mouth made your mind hazy. Neteyam’s tongue found itself entangled with yours, and you found yourself getting lost in the moment. The feeling of need was quickly becoming too much so you moved your hips against him, desperately trying to release the pressure.
Neteyam chuckled into your mouth, his fangs glistening in the light. “All you had to say was your problem was down there,” he purred. “I can fix that for you,” Neteyam’s voice turned into an exhilarating whisper, sending chills down your spine. You shivered at the feeling of his fingers gently slipping inside your waistband, hovering over the spot you really wanted him.
You grabbed his hand, your nerves getting the best of you. “W-what if someone finds out.” Neteyam moved forward, cupping your pussy . It was so wet and desperate for him, how could he stop? “I won’t tell if you don’t.” You closed your eyes, nodding your head. Neteyam kissed you once more, this time more rough than before. Internally, he hoped everyone would find out.
He slipped his finger inside of you, his eyes growing wide at how tight you were. He could feel the heat emanating from your core, and you were practically throbbing. Neteyam’s fingers were large enough to easily reach your sweet spot, stretching you out as he added another. You clenched around him, a high pitched sound leaving your lips.
He groaned at the sight of you, you were far too good to be true. Neteyam leaned down, gently nipping at your neck and sucking on your pulse point. His fangs occasionally gliding across your sensitive skin. Neteyam continued to pleasure you, fingers moving at a steady rhythm, a pace he knew he could keep up for hours.
You bit your lip to hold back your whines, each breathy exhale turning into a high pitched moan. The sound was like music to Neteyam, he couldn't get enough of you. His tongue snaked out of his mouth, tasting your skin as he left marks. He wanted everyone to know you belonged to him, in one way or another.
His thumb began to circle your clit, thankfully human anatomy was similar to his own. His tail wrapped around one of your legs, pulling it to the side, allowing him more access. You gripped onto him, burying your face in his chest to hide the embarrassment of the sound leaving your lips.
Neteyam kissed your forehead, nuzzling you softly as he quickened his pace. You clenched tightly around his fingers, bucking your hips against his hand, riding it out as much as possible. Neteyam had you pinned under him, mercilessly trying to pull out your orgasm. He was almost certain he would cum in his loincloth.
"You're doing so well for me, baby girl." He purred into your ear, his tongue darting across it as his hand worked you. His fingers consistently applying pressure at the spongy spot inside of you. His thumb continued to move across your clit, working it to match the pace. You gripped tightly to his broad shoulders, rolling your hips against his hand as you felt your body begin to give way. "Oh, I-I-I..."
“Hmm? Baby girl I can’t hear you.” His breath was hot on your neck. “S-sgood, Teyam,” your new nickname for him made him groan. His fingers continued to move, making your words come out more high pitched and incoherent than before. He nipped at your neck, biting it and sucking hard enough to leave a mark.
He didn't want to stop, he didn't want this moment to end. The feeling of your warm cunt tightening around him as your body tensed. Your nails digging into his shoulders, you back arching and hips bucking. His hand moved at a steady pace as your body began to unravel, letting yourself go. The euphoric feeling washing over you like a tidal wave.
Neteyam took his time as he eased you through it, gently bringing you down as he whispered sweet nothings. He peppered kisses across your face, murmuring how good you were to him as you relaxed. "Good girl," he whispered. He carefully removed his fingers, and your body mourned the loss of him. “You did so good for me, yawne.”
Your body was limp underneath him, your weighted breaths slowing. “I’m so tired,” you murmured. Shh, go to sleep, yawne. I’ll clean you up.” And he did exactly what he said, unsurprisingly. He took the time out of his night to carefully clean up the mess he made on your body and clothes. It was pathetic to admit but at some point, he came in his loincloth, and it was leaking out onto your sheets.
Neteyam watched you sleep peacefully until the light began to shine into the camp. He rushed back home and thankfully, no one noticed his disappearance. This became a routine between the two of you, and Lo’ak became his best wingman. He pretended to not know anything, made excuses, and visited you pretending like he wasn’t just going so Neteyam had an excuse to follow. For once he was very grateful his little bro was the way he was.
Things were looking up for you as well, Now you got to leave the human lab more often and you got to watch him train with the other boys. A few people noticed the way you watched him and how he watched you, the way he moved if you moved. It was kept quiet, as far as anyone knew you had no relationship. Neteyam was always teaching and showing you exciting new things, making you laugh constantly, showering you with affection you received from no one else. He worshiped you in a way you never thought possible.
Neteyam was completely beside himself, and it was going to kill him eventually. You told him you loved him, were proud of him and he was so much more than just the perfect son. You liked him for the reasons no one else did, seeing him for how he truly was and wanted to be. It was no wonder he was infatuated by your existence.
Neteyam, thankfully, found enough self-control to not fuck you. To do enough to keep you attached to him but not enough to ruin you completely. He was pretty positive he wouldn’t even be able to fit inside you anyway. It didn’t change the fact he thought about it every single day. It was hard to explain the things he was feeling but he knew he was stuck to you. Without you he wouldn’t be able to breathe, eat, or sleep like he used to. Neteyam’s existence would become completely meaningless without your presence.
But for now, it was new and perfect. Shiny like a freshly carved toy bound to break.
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
All good things come to an end, you learned that after Quartich had returned and Neteyam was being stolen away to a reef clan too far from you. The moon stopped its rotation, all of the life you had being stolen away after he uttered the words goodbye. It was an indescribable pain, unrelenting and all consuming. It took weeks for you to be able to leave your bed, for the nightmares to cease, but the thoughts of him haunted you at every waking moment.
The only place you could find him was at the river, in memories. A part of you wished to go back, to have never left the lab and stayed oblivious to his existence. In your heart you knew he was bound to carve his place into it one way or another. Neteyam used to say how he prayed to the great mother for you and Ewya always finds a way. Day and night blurred together, you stopped counting the hours and let them fly past you. In your darkest moments you repeated a chant to yourself, a prayer almost, One day, Neteyam will come back for you.
He cried, a pathetic display, in front of his parents to bring you with. Neytiri was disgusted, but not enough to hate you as much as spider. He took that as a small win in a losing battle. Jake never faltered on his stance, only family could come unless you wished to put yourself in danger. All he received for his pleas was sympathy from his siblings and a harsh scolding from his parents. It felt as thought his heart had been torn from his chest, the air sucked out of his lungs. You would be here alone, without him, doing all the things you should be doing with him. Neteyam would be stuck in the middle of the ocean with strangers on a droll island.
He did not adapt to the way of water like Lo’ak did. His brother had finally found an environment to thrive in but he was completely lost without you. It was becoming harder to maintain the perfection his father strived for. Even whilst in mourning he had to care of everyone, protect them, comfort them and receive none of it in return. It was a hard life to live but what other choice did he have?
Neteyam only ever felt happy again when he drifted off in his sleep. He was always with you in his dreams, feeling, touching, hearing and smelling you again. For a few hours each night he was back in your room making stupid jokes and listening to rave about your newest discovery. It was always sunny in his dreams, even when it was nightfall. Each time Neteyam closed his eyes it was as if he was in the promised land… but everyone has to wake up eventually.
To ease the eternal ache, he started pleasuring himself more often. It would be a sad sight if anyone ever caught the once mighty warrior stopping to such levels but desperate times called for desperate measures. Neteyam fully intended on stealing you away one day, human or avatar body he didn’t care anymore. If anyone was against you he would kill them… except his own blood, of course.
When he connected to Ewya he saw you, crouched down by your mother in a body he didn’t recognize. Oh, your avatar, your mother is finally allowing you to use it. You were still ethereal in the new body, still tiny, but you looked much more like him. You felt so close to him, your warmth radiating through the connection. He was at peace again, for a limited time only. Neteyam was dragged away the second he felt a shift in the water… Kiri
“We’re leaving… now!” You scrambled to grab the med supplies before you leaped onto the helicopter. For all that it was worth, you hoped Kiri was okay. Still, a very selfish, disgusting, part of you was glad you now had an excuse to visit Neteyam. Norm wouldn’t allow you to go in Avatar form, too early to tell if it would last the long journey ahead. You nervously picked at your fingernails the entire way there, she would okay you knew it.
Neteyam could only watch as your little form rushed past everyone to get to his sister. He never left her side or yours for that matter, choosing to stay outside and watch you work. He couldn’t put into words how grateful he was for you, for the effort you were devoting to his family, to saving his sister. He felt a sliver of happiness just watching you again, seeing that you were alive and well.
You hadn’t given him the time of day though, too busy checking Kiri’s pulse and giving her an IV. If you were being honest with yourself this didn’t appear to be a normal human illness. Almost all people can wake up from seizures naturally, almost, as she wasn’t waking up at all. You didn’t know as much about Ewya as everyone else but if this happened whilst she was connected to the tree… then it was probably due to that.
Of course, you hadn’t voiced this out loud in fear of insulting Norm and his hard work. Also, Neytiri breathing down your neck had you too scared to move, a good mother, but a very scary woman. Eventually, you were all kicked out and you nearly fell on your face rushing onto the woven walkways. They were much more bouncy than you expected but a rather large Metkayina boy caught you before you dived head first into the ocean.
“You should be more careful, alien.” You gazed up at him with wide eyes, he was even bigger than Teyam! The last word was in Na’vi but you knew very well what it meant. Luckily, it wasn’t filled with disdain like it usually was, rather disappointment paired with curiosity. A strange thing you did notice was his hand remained on your shoulder, was this normal? “Thank you…” His head raised, eyes scanning you cautiously, “It’s Aonung.”
The crowd around the marui had finally begun to disappear and Neteyam was able to release a breath he didn’t know he was holding. He stood up from his crouching position, thanking ewya for saving his sister and welcoming her back to the land of the living. It was times like this he was grateful his dad pushed him so hard, if he was too weak, too careless, she could very well be dead.
Neteyam slowly stalked out of the marui, lost in his own thoughts. He knew you would love the ocean, the water, the creatures, and all of the plants you fawn over. His dream was to be able to show you it eventually, under more positive circumstances. For now, he would accept showing you what he could whilst you remained here. A childlike smile graced his features as he looked around, head turning in all directions to spot you.
“I’m going to kill him,” his eyes twitched and Neteyam’s hands unconsciously balled up into fists, granted they were not the same as those with four fingers. Aonung was touching you, talking to you as if you weren’t an alien. After all the bullshit he’d done to his siblings he had the nerve to touch you? He felt the bile in his gut rise to his throat as you smiled at something he said. “It’s a waste of time,” Lo’ak appeared beside him and if he was in his right mind Neteyam would have demanded to know where he has been.
Except he wasn’t in his right mind. “Fish lips,” his younger brother mumbled under his breath before turning to go into the marui where Kiri rested. Jealousy, rage, hate, hurt, Neteyam couldn’t put a name to everything that was boiling inside, but it was too much. You hadn’t even fucking glanced in his direction the entire night. Before he knew it his feet had carried him right behind you, his chest rising and falling with each deep breath.
“Teyam,” you exclaimed, more excited than you have been in months. Your smile fell when you noticed the way his eyes were staring daggers into the water boy, enemies perhaps? “Back off,” he gritted through his teeth as he poked at Aonung’s chest. Obviously, this wasn’t a fight the other was interested in. He glanced at you with a raised brow, if he had a brow, and back at your Teyam.
“Okayyy then,” he lifted his hands in mock surrender. “It was nice meeting you, human.” Aonung spoke to Neteyam more than you, his smirk directed only at him. You swore you heard him growl lowly, maybe the heat was getting to your head. He didn’t move as he watched the fish boy walk away, his tail swaying violently behind him. “Neteyam?” You turned to him, staring at his face after what felt like centuries.
“Teyam-” you were cut off as his hand wrapped around your wrist, literally dragging you away from the camp. You protested at first, slamming your fist into his arm, offended by how he was behaving. Did the reef people make him cruel? “Let. Me. Go!” you shouted at him, but your cry fell on deaf ears. The grip he had on you wasn’t bruising but his strength far outmatched yours and this was completely unfair. You whipped your head around to watch where he was taking you, the sandy beach quickly turning into heavy shrubbery.
It was beautiful at the very least, you told yourself to remain positive. There hasn’t been a time where you’ve seen Neteyam this angry, especially at you. He paused in his steps when he felt you were now far enough away from everyone. Neteyam let your hand fall to your sides, taking a deep breath, “you!” You flicked when he raised his voice, your fear only heightened at your sheer size difference. "Y-yea, me."
Neteyam huffed, his eyebrows furrowed and gaze piercing though you. “Why haven’t I seen you all evening” Normally, he kept all of his feelings under check, making sure to never express them in case they would upset someone else. Now, the anger radiated off of his shoulders and his words dripped with malice. His question came out as more of a demand, and you could feel your own anxiety spike up. “I was helping Kiri.”
“Helping? You were too busy swooning over fish lips to help anyone.” The words fell from his mouth faster than he could process, regret immediately flooding his system. You wished the ground would open up and Ewya would swallow you whole. “I- I-'' you choked on your own words, tears welling in your eyes. “You don’t love me anymore?” Your damned mask began to fog as you stumbled over your words.
Neteyam's hands were around your shoulders before you could even react, pulling you into him, “don’t cry please, you’ll suffocate to death.” His tone was gentle and he spoke softly, but you could still hear the pain in his voice. The tears came quicker now and your heart hurt. His large hands ran up and down your back in an attempt to calm you down.
"I- I'm sorry, I don't mean to," You sniffled, attempting to keep the tears in your eyes. Neteyam didn’t mean to make you cry, although seeing you like this for him was far better than watching you with the other. Shit, was this manipulation? He dropped down on his knees so you could almost be the same height, placing his hands on your cheeks, forcing you to look at him. “Shh, I still love you. I would never stop loving you. No matter the time we spend apart or the distance between us, you’re in my heart forever, yawne.”
He always knew the right things to say, it made your heart swell and warmth fill your body. Neteyam could make the worst situations feel okay. "I-I," Neteyam placed a hand over his heart, "you don’t need to say anything to me, I've upset you." You sniffled "I still love you too," Neteyam released a deep breath, his face turning stern once more. “Let me prove to you how much I care about you.”
It took minutes before you were laid out on the sand, your pants long discarded. Neteyam had your legs over his shoulders, devouring you. Your toes curled against the cool beach as the wind blew through your hair, the breeze from the water chilling the heat radiating off of you. It was a new sensation, his tongue rubbing circles around your clit. The feeling was foreign and intense, sending jolts throughout your body.
Your hips bucked as his fingers prodded at your entrance, forcing all three inside as an attempt to stretch you more. Neteyam growled in response, the noise sending vibrations throughout your core. His fingers pumped in and out of you, curling against the top of you to press into the soft spongy spot that had you crying out. Neteyam lapped at the wetness leaking out of you, drinking up every single drop of you.
His eyes met yours, you felt as if the whole world was spinning, a euphoric feeling bubbling inside you, building and building. Neteyam's tongue pressed against your clit once more and you felt the orgasm ripple through you, your walls contracting against his fingers and squeezing them. The pleasure was overwhelming and you couldn't do much but writhe and cry out as Neteyam brought you down from your high, licking you clean of your mess.
He pulled away and you whined at the loss of his body heat, until you heard the sounds of his loincloth falling to the ground. You pulled your head up off the ground and gasped, he was large, incredibly too large for you. His tip was a bruising purple, shining with precum. Your eyes nearly burst out of your skull, it looked painfully hard as his veins popped out. “T-teyam-”
Neteyam climbed on top of you, shushing you with his finger. “I’ll be gentle I promise,” he purred, his hand snaking down to his tip, rubbing the sticky liquid around the head before placing himself at your entrance. “I’m gonna claim you, mark you with my scent so no one else fucking touches you.” The head of his cock prodded at your entrance and the pressure was intense, your walls achingly slow stretching to fit him. "I can't," Neteyam pushed the head of his cock into you, forcing a choked cry from your lips. “Shh, just be a good girl for me.”
It hurt, yet it felt good in the most bizarre way, a tingling sensation shooting through your body as he pushed deeper and deeper inside you. “Oh ewya, you’re so fucking tiny, baby girl,” he groaned as he pushed deeper. His cock was stretching your walls, the pain slowly disappearing as you grew used to his size. You could feel him against the very base of your cervix, his hips pressing flush against your thighs. “F-f-fuck,” you choked out in a choked whimper, trying to get accustomed to his girth and length, it had to be the size of your forearm at least.
Neteyam began to pump into you slowly, giving you a few seconds to adjust to his length before snapping his hips and forcing the air out of your lungs, causing you to scream and arch your back. You couldn't believe the noises coming out of your own mouth, the moans and cries echoing around the beach. Neteyam moved painfully slowly, thrusting himself in and out of you.
He used one of his large hands to press against your stomach, feeling his cock move inside of you. “You feel that, yawne?I can feel myself moving inside of you. Fuck, you're so perfect, sweetheart, taking all of me inside you.” He hissed as his movements got faster and more erratic. The feeling was indescribable, the mixture of pain and pleasure that had your head spinning and mind hazy.
Neteyam couldn’t fit all of himself in you no matter how hard he tried, he settled for slamming into the top of your cervix, forcing a scream from your lips. He hoped everyone could hear you screaming his name from miles away. “You like that, baby?” Neteyam growled, you wrapped your arms around his neck, clawing at his shoulders. “Ssyes teyam, sgood,” you slurred your words, feeling the waves of euphoria begin to roll inside of you again.
His thrusts started to become faster, and your mind began going numb. Your cunt clenched around him as your eyes welled with tears. “Teyam, p-please. Please!" You stuttered between moans and whimpers. Neteyam wrapped a hand around your neck, squeezing softly. "That’s my girl,” his praise made you whimper for more. His cock was throbbing inside you, his seed threatening to spill at any moment. "Louder, yawne. Everyone has to know you’re all mine," he growled into your ear, putting emphasis on 'mine’. Your entire body was going limp beneath him.
Neteyam removed his hand from your neck, wrapping his arm underneath your legs, spreading them as far as they could go and angling you so that he hit the sensitive bundle of nerves inside you, pounding against it rapidly. Your vision started to turn blurry and you felt yourself begin to fall over the edge again, a new kind of wave washing over you, “F-Fuck! Tey- teyam- please in for me!"
Your cunt clamped down around him, forcing Neteyam to cry out, his thrusts becoming shallow and erratic. You could feel Neteyam release inside of you, ropes of hot cum filling your insides, mixing with your own fluids.
The sound of a twig snapping nearby pulled you both out of your haze, “Neteyam!” Jake’s booking voice echoed around the beach. Both of your heads shot to the left, staring at the mortified father whose eyes were boring into you. Oh, you were completely fucked.
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
The walk of shame you both endured was the most humiliating moment of your entire life. It was an excruciating silent trip back home but at the very least Jake waited until you boarded the helicopter, with a traumatized look on his face, before he called your mother. Without a doubt he told Neytiri soon after and you could only imagine her utter rage. Norm and Max said nothing, opting to stare out the window and dissociate from the entire situation completely. You were extremely grateful for their silence.
You couldn’t imagine the scolding he was about to receive, the punishment he was going to endure. Your mom, although mortified, let you off the hook easily. No avatar for another month, and no Neteyam for the rest of eternity. That one hurt, you felt the same soul crushing despair as you did when he first left.
On the other side of Pandora Neteyam remained completely unphased. He took the yelling, the punishment and everything else like a strong man. In the end he had won, you were covered in his scent and no one was going to touch you again. As for your future together? He had a plan for that too. Neteyam had already practically mated with you no matter what his mother said and once you’re in that new body, he would run away and do it again.
You may not realize it yet but he was coming back for you. One way or another you were going to come to the reef with him, be a part of his family, bear his children, and never ever leave his side again. Even if it meant disappointing his parents one final time, but he had hope in Ewya that would not be the case.

Tumblr media
kiri sully was your best friend. you spent almost every minute of the day together. you first became friends as children but ultimately bonded over your shared interests and tsahik practice. now both in your mid twenties, you two are inseparable. since you’ve become an adult, there has been something looming everytime you are in the sully’s tent and in the presence of toruk makto himself. despite knowing how wrong it is, you cannot stop your eyes from drifting to and staying on jake, millions of thoughts running through your mind about him as a partner but more significantly, how he is in bed. it engulfs your mind constantly, the thought of him dragging you away to pound you or his hands pushing your mouth further down his massive cock. he was undeniably sexy and hard to remove from your mind.
one night when you're unable to sleep, you decide to take a walk through the forest, hoping to clear your head of the dirty thoughts encroaching. you get deep enough in the forest and hit a small pond, deciding to rest on the nearby rock. you hoist yourself on top of the rock, sighing as you look up to night sky. your hands fall to your thighs, fingers tracing your glowing freckles. you sigh as your finger inches closer to your loincloth which is guarding your dripping and pulsating pussy. you run your finger over the wet spot, instantly rolling your hips upon contact. "fuck it.." you mumble, slipping off your loincloth and laying it down beside you on the rock. you spread your legs, fingers trailing to your clit. you gasp, slowly rubbing circles on it. you shut your eyes at the feeling, moving your fingers faster along what is your now throbbing clit. you bring your fingers lower, entering two immediately into your hole. "oh- jake.." you subconsciously moaned his name into the air, something you did often when masturbating. all you could think of was him. him. him. him.
speaking of him, jake was also unable to fall into a slumber tonight. he quietly escaped his family's tent, initially planning to take a ride on his ikran, but decided a walk would maybe be better. little did he know a walk would be a wonderful decision. he figured he would walk to the nearby pond, stick his feet in the water and try to relax. as he got in closer proximity with the pond, he could hear some faint moans... and then his name. he sauntered over as quietly as possible, peering through the trees to spot you. legs spread, two fingers deep and moaning his name. he smirks to himself, concocting a plan in just seconds.
just as you throw your head back and your moans become more intense, you are startled by a single sentence: "you've been caught, babygirl". your eyes shoot open at the familiar voice, knowing exactly who would be standing in front of you. you scramble to collect your breaths and loincloth, a purple blush flooding your cheeks as this was quite possibly your worst nightmare. "i-, i-" you begin to stutter, avoiding eye contact out of pure shock. "no need to be shy, sevin" you feel his fingers grab your chin, tilting it up and forcing you to look into his eyes, a darker shade of amber compared to normal. "do you normally moan my name when you do this? when you have your fingers deep in your pussy?" he taunts, grabbing said fingers and bringing them to his mouth to taste you. he hums at the taste, pulling them out and smirking at your expression, desperate yet so silent. "gonna use your words and talk to me?" he tilts his head in curiosity, awaiting your response. "jake, this is wrong-" his cocky chuckle cuts you off, "is it? i mean, you were the one fingering yourself while thinking of me... so that is a pretty hypocritical thing to say" he leans closer, breath grazing your lips.
"i know you want to babygirl, do it" he whispers before you collide your lips against his, a heated and passionate kiss forming. his hands reach to remove your top, tits becoming exposed to the evening air. you gasp as the cool breeze hardens your nipples, and gasp louder when his large hands grope them and flick at your nipples. he pulls away from the kiss, causing a whimper to fall from your now swollen lips. "what is it, princess? you like when daddy plays with your nipples?" he pinches them, watching your eyes shut out of pleasure. "ah ah- don't look away from daddy now, keep your eyes on me" you re-open your eyes, hands trailing up to his biceps. "do you see what you do to me, baby?" his eyes glance down to his erection under his loincloth before observing how you lick your lips.
"come suck daddy's cock" he steps back for you to jump off the rock, switching so he is leaning against it now. you kneel, grabbing the waistband of his loincloth and pulling it down to reveal his large cock. your eyes widen slightly, your imagination not even coming close to the real thing. it was so hard, calling your name. you couldn't fathom the fact that you were actually in this scenario outside of your mind. you lick the tip, already leaking precum. you purr at the salty taste, gazing up at jake's face. his stare is direct and lustful, mouth agape slightly. his one hand presses into the rock while the other becomes situated at the back of your head. "that's it, show daddy what you think of while you fuck yourself" you whine and nod, mouth enveloping his tip. you begin to suck, slowly moving further down his shaft. you bob your head up and down consistently on him, his moans gaining volume. his eyes meet yours again, his head then getting thrown back. "those eyes- i see the way you look at me all the time, dying to get fucked" he chuckles softly, using his hand on your head to push you all the way down and hold you there. you choke lightly, moaning around him. he groans and bites his lip, watching your eyes water. "such a slut for me, huh?" he pulls you off, watching you gasp for air. "again.." you whimper, spit dripping from your chin. "yeah? you want more?" he pushes you down again, eyes boring into yours once again. "you're such a good slut for daddy" he moans and pulls you off again then pulls you to stand up.
he pulls your front flush against his, his frame towering over yours. you grip his shoulders, his hands roaming to your ass and placing a hard spank on your ass cheek. you whine, hips jerking against his hard cock. "gonna mark this ass with my handprint" he growls, spanking you again, again and again. you whine continuously, basking in the pleasurable tingle coming off of your ass. "should i fuck you now, sevin? hm?" he keeps a solid grip on your already sore ass cheeks, head tilted down to address you. "y-yes, please..." he tsks, "that's not how you ask for cock babygirl". you whimper under his gaze before speaking, "please daddy, i've never wanted something more, please fuck me and use me, please daddy i'm your good slut.. take me.." the sentence leaves your mouth as a whine, chest heaving from adrenaline and anticipation. "that's better, darling. on your back, lie on the ground and lift those legs for me" he gestures to the grass, watching you attentively. your brain is already foggy, taking a moment to process his instructions. "don't make me punish you, on the ground now" he says sternly, and you rush to settle yourself on the grass, holding your legs up by the back of your thighs.
jake hovers above you, stroking his stiff cock in his large hand. "daddy~" you mewl, barely being able to wait at this point. "patience.." he drops to his knees, hands spreading your legs open. "how many times have you imagined this?" he whispers, kissing along your neck. "so many times...", he hums and sucks on your sweet spot, leaving a deep purple mark. "well it's gonna be better than you ever fucking thought it would be" he whispers, throwing your legs on his shoulders and lining his cock up with your hole. his cockiness made him even hotter. he pushes in all the way, stuffing you full with his cock. you moan loudly, already arching at the sensation. "fuck yes..." he breathes, pulling out and starting to thrust. it was hard and fast from the get-go, no mercy being given. "oh my- daddy" you moan, hands digging into the grass. he groans and thrusts deeper, "you're such a dirty girl, letting your best friend's dad use your pussy". you nod as your brain fog increases, mind completely boggled at the events. he chuckles watching your eyes roll back, face fucked out. "you like this cock, huh? you love daddy's cock, don't you?" he moans as your pussy clenches around him, "yes, i fucking-" you breathe heavily, "i love my daddy's cock". your pussy clenches again, urging him to fuck you even further into oblivion as he groans. "yeah, i'm your daddy, girl.. you're mine". a fluttering begins inside you, eyes rolling again. "o-oh fuck, can i- can i cum?" you ask in a low whimper, totally submissive to the man above you. "yes yes, soak my cock" he moans as he watches your back fully arch off the forest floor, cum flowing out of you along with a string of profanities. "good girl- fuck.. you want daddy to fill you with his cum? hm? want his cum leaking out of your hole all day tomorrow?" he questions, grasp on your legs tightening as he feels his orgasm approaching. "i need it! yes!" you squeal, pussy clenching at the mere thought. "i'm cumming- oh y/n.." your name spilled from his mouth as his cum filled your pussy straight to the brim. he groans loudly, catching his breath before placing your legs back to the ground gently and leaning over you. "you okay, darling?" he strokes your cheek before you giggle softly, "more than okay, shit" you giggle more, kissing him deeply. "i always knew you weren't that innocent" he whispers, helping you sit up.
the next day you entered the sully's tent to collect kiri for your daily tsahik trainings, smiling at her brothers. "y/n- HEY what is that?" she lowers her voice to a whisper, pointing at the prominent mark at the side of your neck. your eyes flicker over to jake who is smirking to himself as he cleans his gun. "o-oh, you know me, bumped into a branch again while walking at night" you fake chuckle, replaying the feeling of jake's lips in your head. she laughs "you have to be more careful! anyways, let's go" she begins to leads you both out of the tent. you look over your shoulder and watch jake's eyes travel from your ass to meet your own. he winks, causing a heat to course through your body. he might just be the death of you.

Characters: Sully family x reader, Neteyam x reader, Jake x reader, Neteyiri x reader, Lo’ak x reader, platonic, fem-reader
Genre: Domestic fluff, fluff
Warning: none :)
Summary: Family days are something important for the Sully’s. So, when they are given a day free of the responsibilities as leaders, they spend the day together as a family.
Word count: 1, 395
Translation : Ma’evi = My child
Tumblr media
————————————————————————
It was a bright, sunny day when Neytiri and Jake took you out. These types of days were rare because of how busy both Jake and Neytiri were with clan duties, Jake is the Olo'eyktan after all. So, because of that Jake and Neytiri wanted to let you choose where they’ll be exploring today. Last time you all went swimming in the river at eclipse and Jake even taught you how to fish for the first time.
But today, you were quite content with running through the tropical jungle that you called home. The feeling of the soil underneath your feet, and hearing the ruffles of the plants as you move past them.
“Mom, Mom, look!” You yelled with excitement, sparkles in your eyes. Neytiri watched with soft, fond eyes. They were enormous, twisting and contorting in ways that could always take away your breath. Even your father, Jake Sully, is still blown away at the sight of the alien greenery
At the sight of a plant that resembled a water slide, you looked up to your father, pleading with big puppy dog eyes. Jake knew instantly what your intentions were and let out a soft chuckle. He was always the more lenient parent and would let things slide that Neytiri would never dream of. Like that one time, he let you ride on his ikran.
“Can we pleaseeeee slide on them, Daddy?” Adding that at the end would always increase your chances. Jake was a sucker for you.
All he could do was hide his smirk as he turned to Neytiri, giving her the same puppy dog eyes you had given him just a moment before. On your own, she would often say no but to the both of you, she was at your mercy.
And so, with a roll of her eyes, Neytiri could huff and agree. You did a little victory dance before rushing over to begin climbing the plant. You’d often see other people from the clan sliding down them, and it always looked like they were having a blast. Their laughs danced across the air and smile warmed each other's hearts. So of course you wanted to have a turn, wishing for a moment like that with your parents.
Just as you reached the top your mother called up to you “Now, I know this looks fun but you could get seriously hurt if you’re not careful. So listen to me.” She explained what to do and what not to do when sliding down.
You nodded your head and eagerly listened, not wanting to upset your mom by being careless. You watched as Neytiri showed you what to do with her hands, a habit she’d always had when explaining things. And so whatever direction she turned her body in, whether her body was relaxed or stiff, you committed everything to memory.
“Okay baby, you sure you don’t want daddy to go first?” Jake asked you. “No!” You huffed at him and crossed your arms over your chest. “It‘s my turn. Then you can go, Dad.”
And so, you sat at the top of the slide and pushed yourself. Oh, Eywa now this was an experience that was alien to you and yet you welcomed it all the same. Ringing in your ears as you passed your parents and the adrenaline rushing through you. The leaf was soft but sturdy and held your weight comfortably and the wind was pushing against your face, leaving your hair to fly around you.
Seconds later you landed on the floor with a thud, although that was quickly replaced by your laughter. You leaped up from the ground and ran over to your mom. “Did you see? Did you see me, Mom? Eywa, that was so much fun. May I go again, Mom?”
“You did so well, ma’evi,” Your mother praised, a soft smile on her face at your joy. “Now let’s watch your father before you go again, okay?”
Nodding with excitement you quickly stood up, ecstatic to see your father go down the slide. He’s always doing some extra to see your smile. Whether it was shooting two arrows at once or doing loops with his ikran. However, today was not that day as you watched him slide clumsily down the plant and land with a loud painful thud on the ground.
You gasped in horror before rushing over to check on him. “Daddy, are you okay?” You fell to the floor and patted his shoulder in a comforting manner.
Jake lay on the floor groaning in pain but looked up to you, giving you a small smile. “Gimme a second, baby. Just gimme a second.”
Whereas you were concerned, your mother was rather annoyed and unimpressed with her mate but her daughter saw a smirk forming on her face.
“Seriously, Jake?” she questioned him. “Get up, you skxawng. You should be filled with shame, your child is better at this than you.” She kicks him in his side before walking off.
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Several years have passed by and the family has grown. But something that has never changed was the family days. Today it was Netyiri, Neteyam, and you (although now you were older), all sliding down the plant with grace and agility. By this alone it shows that the two of you are definitely your mother’s children.
Once at the base of the plant, the three of you look up to see Jake and Lo’ak.
“It's a shame that Kiri didn't wanna join us,” Neteyam notes while stretching his limbs. “Yea, knowing her, she’s probably running around in her own world.” You chuckle, creating a mental image of what Kiri is doing right now.
When Neteyam saw Lo’ak getting into position, he yelled out, “You got this bro!” He cheered for his brother but you can see the sly smirk on his face. He’s low key hoping that Lo’ak will fall flat on his face.
All of you watched as Jake got into position to slide down as well. Uh oh.
…But then he slipped and while trying to gain balance he grabbed onto something. That something being Lo’ak who wasn’t paying attention AT ALL.
He was more focused on relaying what you and Neytiri have told him and which form to use. All three of you watch as the father and son chaotic duo stumble down the leaf, the complete opposite of how you’ve done it. Neteyam winced at the loud thud their fall caused, and did you hear something breaking??
“Are you guys okay?” Neteyam asks them and walks over. “That must have hurt.” Neither of them answer in favor of trying (and failing) to catch their breaths because the air got knocked right out of them.
“Damn,” Lo’ak groans. “I think I broke something. Or sprained it at the very least.”
“Yea me too..” Jake agreed with him. Netyiri just stares in shock and dismay because they have been both practicing to not fall. At least it wasn’t on their face like last time. Those two somehow always do exactly what she doesn't want them to do.
“Please, Great Mother, give me strength-” Netyiri mutters under her breath, not even sparing a glance to her son and mate.
“Nooo, Lo’ak. You’ve been making good progress too.” You looked down at him in pity.
Neteyam, over his initial worry, is now laughing his ass off. At least someone got something they wanted out of this, and well it is pretty funny. “Like son, like father. Right, (Y/N)?”
Lo’ak looked up at his brother, always looking for a chance to correct his older brother. “Actually, bro, you got it backward. It’s ‘Like father, like son.’”
Jake’ face scrunched up in thought and then nodded. “Yeah, ‘Teyeam he’s right-“
All of you told them to shut up in perfect unison.
“Well in any case, I’m sure our new sibling would be better than you, Lo’ak.” Neteyam taunts with a shit eating grin on his face.
“Oh shut up!” He yells.

genre(s): humor ig, a lil bit of fluff
warnings: just siblings being nosy as always :p protective big bro teyam, lo'ak is really goofy in this, also reader is his twin bc why not
Tumblr media
when you first met ao'nung, you hated him. he was constantly bothering you and your siblings and getting you into trouble. but as the months passed, the metkayina was slowly becoming more and more tolerable; wich eventually led to you becoming friends, and later on, something more.
exchanging meaningful looks that only you and him seemed to notice, smiles between conversations and slight touches in front of your friends soon became something common between the two teenagers. but of course people were gonna find out sooner or later.
the first one to notice was you older brother, neteyam. at first the boy thought he was just imagining things — there was no way his baby sister was getting involved with him, out of all people. even if ao'nung has changed his manners towards your family, the omaticaya couldn't seem to let the grudge go.
then, lo'ak used to wake up in the middle of the night to you silently sneaking away to eywa-knows-where and staying until dawn, returning before your parents woke up. he didn't care at first, but when your escapades became more and more frequent, he knew something was up.
"shes gotta be with him, bro. there's no way this is a coincidence! we have to do something." your twin has been annoying neteyam all morning with this since he mentioned that you and ao'nung seemed closer than normal, remembering lo'ak of your outings in the dead of night. soon they realized: their sister was in a relationship.
"what do you me want to do? this is none of our business, lo'ak. she'll tell us when she's ready."
"come on. stop pretending you're not dying to know if they're really dating!" he smiled mid sentence. the thought of you getting a partner before him and neteyam was really funny to lo'ak. "i can see it in your eyes! you're jealous!"
"fine. we'll follow her next time to see if she's really meeting him. and for the record, i'm not jealous. just worried."
and then, they waited. lo'ak kept himself awake until late at night, pretending to be asleep, to see if you were going to leave — he was really invested in this. but for a few days, you stayed in the family's house. it was almost like you were suspecting them. but of course your brothers weren't going to give up so easily: lo’ak was always so nosy when it came to your personal life, and even though neteyam wouldn't admit, he really wanted to know if you really were dating, maybe even more than your twin.
but one night, it happened. trying to be as quiet as possible, you get up and direct yourself to the entrance, sneaking out without anyone noticing — at least that's what you thought. but as soon as you closed the marui, lo'ak quickly sat down and woke up the older boy.
"bro. wake up. wake up! she's leaving." he said violently shaking neteyam, not even worrying with the volume of his voice.
"what the- be quiet! you will end up getting us all into trouble."
"sorry. let's follow her before she goes too far, let's go!"
meanwhile, you made your way to the rocks near the sea, your boyfriend already waiting for you; he always got out of home first so he didn't have to make you wait. arriving earlier than you expected, you couldn't shake this terrible feeling that you were being watched, making you walk faster than you normally do. the taller one noticed the change in your movements from far away and the worried expression on your face, pulling you closer to him once you got where he was.
ao'nung gave a gentle kiss on your lips before asking: "is everything ok, my love? you look bothered.”
you felt you heart melt with the nickname — he always knew how to make you flustered without even trying. that's what you loved the most about your boyfriend: he was always so caring and sweet with you, completely destroying the view you had from him months ago. hiding your face in the crook of his neck, you shake you head in response. there was no need to worry him with this, after all, you must've been imagining things. "are you sure? you seem pretty tense."
"i just have this odd feeling that i'm being watched. but it's nothing, really. my mind must be playing tricks on me."
he looked around for a moment before turning his attention back to you. "it must be. let's sit down?"
...
“they just kissed! gross!” lo’ak said in a whisper. “imagine when dad finds out! he's gonna throw a tantrum. his precious little girl is finally dating!”
“shut up, skxawng. they're going to hear us. we need to get closer, i can barely see or hear anything.”
“oh? what did you say a few days ago again? ‘she's going to tell us when she's ready! what do you want me to do?’ you're such a bad liar, brother.”
giving lo’ak a playful smack on the shoulder, neteyam got a few steps closer to you, being careful to not be seen.
laying your head on his lap while he gently caressed your hair, you were telling ao’nung everything about the forest and how you used to love ikran racing, going out with your sisters to collect different plants and fruits, climbing trees and and how beautiful the hallelujah montains were. but there was something your brothers couldn't see — the way he looked at you. like you were the most beautiful na’vi in pandora; ao’nung was absolutely smitten with you, from the way you talked to the way you smiled. he surely was in love, his softer side reserved only for you.
he leaned in closer to your face to give you a peck on the lips. but a peck turned into two, and two turned into three. soon, you were passionately kissing under the moonlight, butterflies taking over your stomach.
“ew. should we confront them? this is getting awkward. they're eating each other's faces.”
abruptly getting up, your older brother made his way to you without thinking twice. lo’ak far behind him, trying to contain the laughter that was begging to be let out. there was no way in hell he would let you forget this moment.
“hey! what do you think you're doing with my sister, fish lips?”
oh eywa.
“neteyam? lo’ak- what are you doing here?” you couldn't believe your eyes; did your brothers seriously follow you all this way here just to spy on you? “i can't believe this. i'm going to murder you! for how long have you been here?”
“long enough to know there's something between you and fish lips! and you didn't even tell us, y/n… i thought we told each other everything. i'm hurt!” now lo’ak was just making fun of you. feeling your cheeks heat up you gave ao’nung a quick “im sorry” glance, wich he responded with an awkward smile.
“hey, pretty boy. i was talking to you. what are your intentions with her?”
“neteyam. no. you're not doing this right now! leave!”
everything was a chaos. you couldn't contain your frustration anymore, your brother asking a million questions to ao’nung while you tried to make him stop, lo’aks laugher echoing in the back of your mind. “stop! stop, all of you!”
the raise of your voice was unexpected, the boys getting quiet all at once. “you two. come with me. we're going home before we wake up the whole village. or even worse: our parents notice our absence. wait for me right there.” you said pointing to the place they were before.
“you don't-"
“neteyam. now. you don't want us to get in trouble, do you?” he grumbled something you didn't quite catch and left, pulling a very entertained lo’ak by the arm.
you lowered your voice just in case they could hear you. “baby… i'm sorry about them. eywa, i can't decide if i want to kill myself or those two!”
“it's fine. your family was always a little crazy. i guess you took after them.”
“what? i'm the most normal one there!” you laughed. at least he wasn't mad about this. giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, you left. “i’ll see you when the sun rises i guess.”
“see you later.”
now your attention was aimed towards the two idiots that you called your brothers. getting closer to them with each step you took, your anger only got bigger. “what is wrong with you guys? spying on me, embarrassing me in front of my boyfriend, sneaking out! if dad finds out we're dead! all of us!”
“so you admit that he is your boyfriend!” you gave lo’ak a flick on the head. “skxawng. i could kill you both right now!”
the walk back home was silent for the most part — you were fuming with anger. only when you were getting closer to home, neteyam broke the ice:
“i don't like him.”
“good thing i'm the one dating him, not you.”
silence again.
“guys.” you turned your head to lo’ak. “i'm y/n’s twin. do you think he's attracted to me too? since we have the same face and all.” you wanted to smack away the mischievous smile on his face.
“that's gross. please don't ever say this again!” now you couldn't help but laugh. how could he be such an idiot?
of course you couldn't be mad at them forever — they might be nosy and annoying, but you were still family. and the sullys always stick together.

A Son for a Son
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“What is wrong with you?”
Neteyam’s voice was small, but intense, pressed through the slits of his teeth, bared in a silent snarl. There was something vicious to it. Something that was almost vile. Kiri, who had been sitting pressed right up next to Jake, moved away from him now. Shock clear inside her wide eyes.
“Dad”, she croaked at a loss of words, her voice small and miserable. She was shaking her head absentmindedly, while slowly crawling away from him.
Jake looked at her and suddenly his chest didn’t feel all that numb anymore. He didn’t even try to apologize. He deserved this.
“All I ever tried to do was protect him!”
Neteyam’s voice made the hair on Jake’s neck stand on end. He looked back at his son and whatever wall there had been protecting Jake from everything he didn’t want to feel, broke away just like that. Like harsh waves of ice-cold water hitting him straight on, and all his defenses came crumbling down.
Neteyam didn’t look like himself anymore. There was bottomless rage inside his burning eyes, silent tears running down his cheeks unnoticed. His shoulders were drawn back, muscles strung tight and shaking violently. He looked like a mad animal about to attack.
And Jake felt his own heart shatter at the realization that he’d never noticed how much of himself Neteyam had been hiding all this time. Without him noticing. It was all breaking free now.
“I tried to protect him, not just from all the dangers out there!”, his son screamed, voice strung so tight it was barely his own anymore. “Not just from the outside, from all the shit happening around us!” He made a wide gesture with his hand, movements abrupt and edgy, signing at the wreck of a life they were leading.
“Neteyam.” Neytiri’s voice was weak, face wet with tears as she reached for her son.
Neteyam ignored her.
“I wanted to protect what he has in here!” He violently tapped his chest, his burning gaze not once leaving Jake. He was shaking all over now, almost out of his mind. “Because I know Lo’ak and I know he doesn’t like himself and I know that part of it is your fault!”
A heavy sob rasped from Jake’s throat, and only now did he realize the hot burn inside his eyes. The wetness of his skin and lips, as miserable tears ran and ran his face. He didn’t say a word, determined to listen to everything Neteyam had to say. Everything his son had to throw his way; he would take it.
“All I ever wanted was to keep him safe and you … you just … you turned me into this!”
And Neteyam’s voice was a wretched thing now. Shrill with raw anger. His eyes focused solely onto Jake, gaze piercing him, lips pulled tight over his teeth as his jaw trembled with uncontainable rage.
“You turned me into this nightmare, into a bad memory. You made me his biggest guilt! What the fuck?! What is wrong with you?! Tell me! Tell me, because I don’t get it! You tell us you love us, that you will keep us safe and then you do this! You blamed him! You blamed him! You put my death onto him! I hate you! I hate you! I HATE YOU!”
“Neteyam!”
Neytiri was at his side now, not waiting for him to look at her but simply wrapping both her arms around her son, pulling him in tight against her. She buried her lips against his sculp and kissed him like she had when he’d been still a child, one hand on the back of his neck, the other smoothing over the top of his head, and she cried while rocking him back and forth, holding him like the small child he once had been.
And something broke then. A shudder running through Neteyam’s body, the all-consuming rage inside his eyes subsiding as something else entered his gaze. Something softer. Something that was deeply hurt and vulnerable. Unbearably raw.
His face half buried against his mother’s shoulder he blinked against the tears, eyes wide, like he only now grew aware of them. Like he was only now starting to feel the pain they brought. Like he was only now understanding how utterly broken it all was.
“Mom?”, he croaked, voice barely audible, his body falling slack against his mother, his arms hanging useless at his sides.
“I am so sorry, my son”, Neytiri cried, rocking him softly, holding him, running gentle fingers through his hair. “I am sorry. I promise everything will be right again. I promise I will keep all of you safe. Your father and I will do better. I promise, Neteyam. You will never have to feel this way again.”
Neteyam showed no reaction.

***
Your family wasn’t as known in the clan as Toruk Makto’s, of course not. Growing up, your parents made it clear to you that the only thing you must do is work hard and keep your head down. You weren’t blessed with the other kid’s abilities to make friends and keep them for years. You stuck to yourself and focused on following your parent’s orders.
It was when you were fourteen you had a glimpse of friendship.
You woke up quite later than usual. The clan was bustling as normal and a cluster of young teens were already half way done with breakfast. You contemplated on getting something eat since today you and the cluster formed were going out to practice hunting. You needed energy, but there was little time left before you’d have to leave. You stood in front of your family’s hut, lost in thought, but a gentle hand on your shoulder brought you back. You immediately turned your head. Kiri.
You quickly greeted her with nothing but respect. She rolled her eyes. You were a bit taken aback but lightened when she had a smile on her face. “Please, you don’t need to do that. We’re all the same aren’t we?”
No, we most certainly are not.
Of course, she’s so humble. Everyone had the utmost respect for the Toruk Makto and his family. You never talked to any of the children let alone had one this close to you. You once had a thought cross your mind that the children of Jake Sully might have been too proud and arrogant, but you were proved wrong when the entire family showed nothing but kindness and respect back to everyone. Needless to say, fourteen year old you was a tad starstruck.
“Are you eating?” Kiri gestured to the display of food that was left. You crossed your arms over your chest.
“No, I have to go hunting soon. I don’t want to rush.”
Kiri tilted her head. “Well, will you sit with me while I eat?”
You glanced at her before looking away. Eywa, you have no friends. How are you supposed to not be awkward?
“I mean, no offense, but don’t you eat with your brothers?”
“I’ve had enough of them. Come on.” Kiri left her place besides you and sat a bit outside the group of other teens. You stood still, not sure what to do, but you remembered exactly who she was and hurriedly sat next to her. The two of you sat in silence. Uncomfortable silence on your end but Kiri didn’t seem to mind.
“You know, I’ve never done this before. I usually prefer to not interact with…anyone.”
You look at her in confusion and interest. You’ve had urges to do that as well. Walk up to other kids and make friends, but you never had the confidence. You carefully rotated the bracelet your mother made you around your wrist. A habit formed throughout the years.
“What made you come up to me?”
Kiri abandoned her food for a split second, “Don’t know. Just felt like it.”
Three years have passed since Kiri befriended you that day. Throughout the early days of your friendship you thought she’d be your only friend for the rest of time, but eventually you met the rest of the family properly and the other three siblings of hers took a liking to you as well. Especially, one in particular, but you thought of it has him being kind.
Besides Kiri, Neteyam would chat with you the most. He would ask you about your day, include you in conversations, was there to steady you whenever you stumbled, and always listened intently when you spoke. He was truly kind, a gentleman. Lo’ak, on the other hand, wasn’t as straightforwardly engaging as Neteyam. It bothered you slightly.
Having one friend was one thing, but having three more was hard at first. You remembered how awkward you felt when the Sully siblings took you out for their own little adventure all those years ago. Kiri had just turned fourteen and insisted you joined them. You, being a year older now and taller than her, looked ridiculous clinging to her side the entire time of walking into the forest. Her brothers were a ways ahead of you both, but Tuk stayed close. She was definitely the most excited when Kiri introduced you. She kept saying things like how nice it is to have another girl around. You almost ran out of their hut when Lo’ak agreed, a wave of butterflies swimming in you.
Before you even were acquaintances with them you’ve always taken a liking to Lo’ak. A silly childhood crush.
When you girls finally caught up to their brothers, you stopped walking. You’ve never been this deep into the forest before, too scared to wander in by yourself. They led you to a beautiful opening with a shallow lake and the natural beauty of Pandora surrounding you. You smiled when Tuk playfully ran around. You stopped your admiring and followed Kiri. Neteyam and Lo’ak were already lounging on the grass by the water. You sat in between Kiri and Lo’ak. It was a time spent peaceful. You and Kiri opted to look around and occasionally laugh when Tuk kept splashing water on her brothers and ran off before they could scold her.
The peace was interrupted when Kiri brought up Raziel. Another clan member who wasn’t very fond of you.
“Hey,” She nudged her shoulder with yours, “Will you finally tell me what happened yesterday with Raziel?”
You stared at her in surprise that she would bring it up, now and in front of her brothers. Out of your peripheral you saw Neteyam sit up from his previous position. Your tail began flicking out of nervousness and annoyance. Raziel was the epitome of douchebag. You sighed and leaned back on your hands. “It was nothing, really. Just kept messing me up during training. I couldn’t hit a single thing.”
“How?” You hadn’t noticed Tuk behind you, playing with your hair.
“He just kept grabbing my tail whenever I was about to shoot and calling me…”
“Calling you what?”
Neteyam’s sudden assertion made you shiver. You’ve never heard him like that unless he was defending his siblings. You mentally cursed yourself. You never wanted to tell the Sully’s what people have said to you, but at this point your sure they’ve heard it around. You stared at the rippling water.
“He and his friends just call me a leech…clinging onto you guys like a parasite.”
Kiri placed her hand on yours. “You’re not a leech. They’re just jealous because we truly like you and not them.”
You smiled at her, relieved she didn’t agree. Lo’ak spoke, “Kiri’s right. Fuck ‘em.”
“Language, Lo’ak.” Neteyam stared at his brother and shook his head before smiling at you and saying, “We like having you around.”
You felt warm and appreciated. It’s been a long time since you’ve felt like that. The atmosphere shifted after that, thankfully, and you watched as your friends messed around. Mainly Lo’ak, but you chuckled to yourself every time. Kiri, at one point, even got up and played with him. Time had passed and Eclipse was around the corner. You wondered when you all would head back, but that thought died when another presence took Kiri’s spot. You turned to look and found Neteyam staring ahead.
“I’m attending tomorrow’s training. If you need extra practice I’ll be happy to help,” he tilted his head. A shy look on his face as he waited for your response.
You’ve always known Neteyam to be helpful. Charming as well. Everyone in their family had a certain charm to them. You wished to stop the heat rising throughout your face. You could barely look him in the eye as you replied. “That would be nice, thank you, Neteyam.”
“Of course.”
Not a minute later he got up and called everyone to get back home before Eclipse. You only followed when you knew he was further ahead. You ignored Kiri as she teased you for a hint of pink dusting your face.
The next day at training Raziel and his friends didn’t speak a word to you. They weren’t even remotely close to you at all. Not when Neteyam was always at a five feet distance from wherever you stood. That didn’t stop their glares and incessant whispering. It made you even more insecure. Whenever you would catch their burning stares you wished Neteyam would just walk away and watch the others, but he stood behind you and kept giving you pointers that you had no choice but to execute. When the head of the group ended the session you let out a breath of relief and went to pack your bow and arrows.
A grasp on your elbow stopped you.
“Not yet, your form needs a little work.”
You glanced between Neteyam and the retreating group. He seemed to notice your concern and gently went to fix it. “It’s fine. I asked if we could practice more earlier. You won’t get in trouble.”
You nodded and picked back up your bow and got into position. His hands were on you too fast for you to prepare yourself.
“Here, aim higher,” one hand was on your waist and the other on your arm, “and make sure to keep your elbow back here straight and high.”
He moved his hand to your lower abdomen. “Take a deep breath.”
You followed his instruction, “Hold it there when your body straightens. Feel the difference?”
With his hands still on you, it took you a moment to focus. Eywa, you’ve never had a boy touch you like this. Neteyam checked your stance before taking in your side profile. You seemed determined but he saw your tail moving back and forth waiting for his word. He smiled to himself before leaning closer towards your face. “Go, shoot.”
The arrow released and flew through the air hitting the target dead center. Your smile widened and you look up at him. “Wow, I’ve never shot like that before!”
He smirked and placed his hand on your back, “Just needed a little help from me.”
You raised an eyebrow in a teasing manner at his cockiness. He laughed before his hands were moving you back into position.
“Again.”
That day of Neteyam helping you and the months after that flew by. Your sixteenth birthday was days away and that meant the moment of fighting your future Ikran was approaching. Neteyam kept staying after training sessions with you until you no longer needed it. Even the adult in charge of training said you were on your way to becoming a great hunter. You were still surprised to get this far with Neteyam’s roaming hands on you throughout each practice. You chalked it up to that he’s just a tactile person. Even when the both of you are heading back home he kept his hand on your lower back before you eventually parted ways. His lingering touches and presence around you became more frequent once the two of you spent more time together.
One evening you brought it up to Kiri.
“Is Neteyam a touchy kind of guy?”
“What?”
“I mean that he’s always touching me when I’m around.”
Kiri looked at you like she knew something you didn’t. She rested her chin on her knee. “He only comes in contact with us when we’re annoying him, especially Lo’ak, with a flick to the forehead but nothing else.”
Your confusion about his behavior towards you grew. Kiri caught your questioning state and sighed out your name.
“He likes you.”
“Well, we’re friends. Don’t you like your friends?”
Kiri gave you a deadpanned expression. “It’s so cute and frustrating how oblivious you are.”
“What are you talking about?”
“He likes you in a way that…he might want you to be his mate one day.”
You’ve never felt so embarrassed before. You still had a lingering attraction towards Lo’ak but he’s never kept his hands on you like Neteyam has. You let out a mortified noise, a hand brushing over your face.
“Kiri! Has he told you he likes me like that?”
She huffed, “Not outright, but if he’s not near you he stares you down. I’ve called him creepy so many times but he tells me to shut it,” Kiri smirked, “He’s been like that for almost a year…can’t believe you haven’t caught on.”
You shut your mouth from when it fell open in shock. Have I really been so oblivious? The rest of the time spent with Kiri went back to mindless chatter but as you walked home all you could ponder about was the fact that Neteyam, the next Olo’eyktan, liked you.
You tried your hardest throughout the days that passed between the revelation from Kiri and choosing your Ikran to stick by yourself. Not only were you incredibly anxious about trying not to die to an Ikran but became hyper aware whenever Neteyam was nearby and sneaking away before he could see you. You still had to fully process that his liking towards you was more than platonic and that you could be a potential mate, which is hard to do when you’re beginning your rites of passage and had no clue he was into you.
The three days that passed were dreadful. You woke up early to have something to eat and hid in your family’s hut until you had to go hunting. Normally, you tagged along with Neteyam and Lo’ak but you’ve only been going out with your parents. They were surprised at first, seeing as you haven’t gone hunting with them for two years. You just said you missed spending time with them. Which was true since all your time was spent with the Sully kids. After hunting, you made sure to follow your parents closely back home and wouldn’t leave the hut until the next day.
The night before choosing your Ikran you were eating dinner with your parents before there was a figure standing at the entrance.
“Sorry to interrupt,” Neteyam stood with his riding visor still equipped. He must have just gotten back, “Can I talk to your daughter for a moment?”
He kept his eyes trained onto your parents who gave him their respects before gesturing for you to go. You looked between them and Neteyam before reluctantly getting up and following him. You stopped when he chose a reclusive spot away from any wandering listeners, making sure there was a couple feet distance from him and you. Neteyam gave you a once over, “Are you alright?”
“Yes, why?”
“Well, you haven’t seen any of us lately. Even Kiri doesn’t know what’s wrong.”
You rotate the bracelet on your wrist twice, “Nothing is wrong, Neteyam.”
His eyes narrowed like he was trying to catch your lie. “If nothing’s wrong why don’t you spend time with us. Tuk misses you too.”
You gave yourself some time to come up with a response. Neteyam doesn’t think you’ll say no to hang with them now, so he reaches out for your wrist and begins tugging you with him. You quickly stopped him by gently grabbing his arm with your free hand. “Sorry, Neteyam , but tomorrow’s a big day for me…I just want to sleep early.”
He glanced at your hand on his arm before meeting your eyes. “It can be short. You can just say hi.”
You firmly stand in place before he can tug you with him again.
“Really, I’m tired.”
He looked at your face. You seemed irritated…maybe even uncomfortable. He hardened his stare before letting you go. “Right…go rest.”
You assumed he would head back home but he sighed and got close to you, like how he did when he helped you practice. He looked down at you before putting his hand on your shoulder, “You’ll do great tomorrow.”
He gave you a comforting smile which you returned. You definitely needed to hear some words of encouragement. “Thank you, Neteyam. Goodnight.”
You turned and disappeared back into your hut before sparing him one last glance. When you’ve gone the smile on his face dropped. He stayed there for a minute, watching the hut, before stalking off. Neteyam thought Kiri cleared the air and you would be quick to return his attraction. He wasn’t worried you would reject him. That wouldn’t happen. He just didn’t like how you’ve been ignoring them. Him. The look on your face when he held you…so tense and apprehensive. He despised it and he didn’t want it to happen again.
You woke up the next morning restless and ready to get it done with. When the time came for the small group of others your age to head to the top of the mountain, you were first in line. You glanced around the group and the family of Toruk Makto were standing ahead of the crowd of adults seeing you guys off. Sometimes older members of the clan liked to attend and watch the younger generations fight their Ikran, but you hoped not many would come. You locked eyes with Kiri. You felt immensely guilty for evading her as well, but the gentle smile she gave relaxed you. You sent her a small wave. Lo’ak even gave you a thumbs up. You turned away and bit back a growing smile. When the group left you were relieved none of the Sully’s were accompanying. You didn’t want to embarrass yourself and have them, especially Lo’ak, bear witness.
Half the day had already passed and you had time to catch your breathe while some other teens went first. You winced at the never ending screeches the Ikran’s gave and the piling droplets of blood shed as they attacked your group mates. You were one of the last to step forward. You looked back at another boy who seemed even more nervous than you. At least there were less watching eyes since almost everyone was taking their first flight.
The time for your first flight had come in a flash. A few Ikran disregarded you or either flew away, but when a deep blue Ikran with specks of varying blue colors screeched and attacked, you let the moment take over you.
Now, here you were, bonded for life, and soaring through the sky. You never felt such immense happiness in your life. Even if she gave you hell to feel it. You forgot the numerous gashes across your body as you took in Pandora. Ora, is what you called her. Her blueness reminded you of the clearing in the forest and the shallow water. You’ve heard the story of Neytiri and Seze. Now that you understand and feel the deep connection coursing through you, you pray to Eywa you will never have to experience the heart ache of losing your Ikran.
After the first flight, you landed on one of the clearings near home and the huts. Dismounting Ora and releasing your queue, you heard Tuk.
“You’re back!”
The joy displayed on your face increased as Tuk hugged you. The rest of the siblings falling in behind her. Kiri watched with bright eyes as you ran your hand across Ora.
“Wow, she’s beautiful!” Kiri said, full of wonder.
You nuzzled your cheek against the side of Ora’s head before she took off to rest. You all watched her go before Kiri grabbed your hand.
“How did it go?” She pulled you in for a hug of her own and wanted to bombard you with questions. Her time to start her rites of passage was coming soon. You stepped back and grabbed her hands, “It was amazing. I’ve never felt so happy in my life, Kiri.”
She went to embrace you once more, but Neteyam pulled her back. “Stop, Kiri. Can’t you see she’s injured?”
Neteyam let go of her once he could examine you. He turned you around before taking your hand. “She needs some of Mo’at’s salve for her cuts.”
His hand found a place on your lower back. You looked over your shoulder at Kiri before Neteyam continued to urge you forward. Kiri raised her eyebrows in annoyance but understanding. Her brother’s pining was getting on her nerves. “Come on, Tuk. Let’s go.”
Neteyam left you in his family’s hut while he went to get the salve. Lo’ak took a seat next to you.
“Does it hurt?”
You averted your eyes from the fresh cuts to him. “Not really. I don’t really care anyways.”
Lo’ak scooted closer, he threw an arm over his propped up knee. “I can’t wait until Kiri and I go up the mountain. You know,” He laughed to himself and you grew curious, “When Neteyam came back he was such a baby. Crying over the littlest of scratches.”
Lo’ak grabbed your arm closest to him, “Tinier than yours. He was throwing a fit when grandmother healed him.”
The thought of Neteyam acting as such caused you to laugh along with Lo’ak. The two of you didn’t notice he came back, hands full. The laughter died down when Lo’ak’s hand was being taken off you and Neteyam began spreading the medicine over your cuts.
“It’s okay, I can do it.” You went to take the bowl of salve but Neteyam moved it out of reach.
“I want to help.”
You turned to his brother but he just shrugged his shoulders slightly. That heat from before resurfacing. You watched Neteyam work on healing you gently. This touch of his making your heart beat in a way you never knew. After growing close with Neteyam you weren’t comfortable with his hands on you at first, but the conversation you had with Kiri crossed your mind. He does it because he likes you? You never had experience with boys. Your crush on Lo’ak was the first time you found that tight ache in your chest whenever you looked at him, the first time you ever desired to kiss someone.
You glanced away from Neteyam working to his brother. He’s distracted, folding a leaf into something Eywa know’s what. Lo’ak’s never been touchy with you, he’s never as attentive towards you as Neteyam. He doesn’t like you. You felt sullen at the thought.
Neteyam catched you eyeing his brother. He put the bowl down, a little bit too heavily, “Lo’ak, go find Kiri and Tuk.”
“What? They’re fine-”
“Lo’ak.”
Said brother shook his head and pushed himself off the ground, slinking off in annoyance. The coolness of Neteyam’s hands were back again. This time you brought yourself to stare at his face. He’s so focused but you can tell he’s thinking hard. There’s a quaint frown he’s got adorned. You let him be since you know he’s almost done. He went around you, searching for anything he missed. He hummed in satisfaction. You reached for his arm before he could start to bring the supplies back to Mo’at.
“Thank you, Neteyam.” You gave his arm a squeeze accompanied by a timid smile. He beamed back down at you. He turned his head around towards the hut’s opening and squatted back down to bring his mouth near your ear.
“Meet me after eclipse. I have something important to tell you.”
He left you there to contemplate.
Once the evening sky faded to nothing but black you silently got up from your lying position and peeked your head out. It was a known fact that no one was supposed to go out during eclipse, but Neteyam didn’t give you a chance to question him. You could get caught and suffer consequences dealt by your parents. You almost turned around and went back to sleep, but Neteyam’s deep voice, whispering in your ear, was too intriguing to abandon.
You kept throwing fearful glances as you hastily left the sleeping clan. He didn’t tell you where to meet, but there was a spot all the mischievous teens snuck out to on nights like this. You felt a pang of guilt when you spotted Neteyam leaning against the side of the mountain. He casually said your name. He sauntered over and you met him in the middle.
“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting.”
“It’s not a problem. You showed up.” He gestured with his head to follow. He sat with his legs falling over the ledge. You waited for Neteyam to speak. It must be something troubling him, you guess, since his tail was moving swiftly. Never have you had a conversation with him like this, just you and him, out past curfew. You didn’t want to seem like you were rushing him, so you waited until he was ready to talk. He stared ahead, towards the star filled sky.
“Are you attracted to my brother?”
Taken aback, your eyes widened. This was certainly not what you had in mind to come out of his mouth. You immediately said, “Did Kiri tell you?”
“So it’s true?”
“I’m not sure anymore.”
You really weren’t. Months ago, you asked your mom how she knew your father was the one she wanted to mate with. She told you stories from her past; how she was infatuated with another clan member but your father made her feel special. He left her gifts and spoke words of adoration before she decided to give him a chance. You’ve been thinking about how different Lo’ak is from Neteyam. If Lo’ak had an inclination of returning your feelings, maybe he would have been the one to help you practice, ask you to spend time with his family, take care of your scrapes and bruises. You turn to face Neteyam. Your tail beginning to move with curiosity.
“Why are you asking me?”
“I needed to know if you thought of him that way,” he side eyed your face. His expression changed to something you didn’t have time to decipher. He used his hands to assist in scooting back to turn his body completely in your direction.
“Neteyam, I’m not sure what-”
“I like you…and I can’t spend another day keeping these emotions to myself.”
You watched him take your hand. His thumb grazed over your knuckles. Not knowing what to say, you looked at him. He took this as his moment to continue.
“A few months after I met you, I just felt so captivated. You like to keep to yourself but when you finally let go and be apart of the moment you glow. I see it when you talk to Kiri. I saw it when you came back with Ora. Especially right now, even though we all emit light after eclipse, you are the only one I see. Glowing so bright…so beautiful.”
Neteyam moved your hand so it was resting on his chest. You could faintly feel his heart beating.
“I found myself desiring to see you like that at all times. I wish to become a reason for it as well.”
Speechless, you suddenly want to look anywhere but him. You don’t know what to do with words full of affection and intimacy being spoken to you. It felt warm. You felt seen. You kept your gaze leveled with his own. Neteyam still had his hand on top of yours that rested on his chest, so he lifted his other to move your hair. He then tenderly held a side of your face.
“I want to be with you.”
You couldn’t move away, not when his confession sent you into a daze. Being wanted romantically…you couldn’t believe the newfound emotions that coursed through you. You wanted to cry and the gathering of tears stinging your eyes didn’t help.
“Neteyam,” you let your fingers spread against his chest, wanting to feel his skin, desiring to see him the way he sees you. A sudden flash of insecurity hit. You pulled back, hesitantly removing your hand from him.
“I’ve never been with someone before.”
He smiled despite the loss of contact, “I know, but,” Neteyam inched closer. His knee hitting yours.
“Do you trust me?”
One thing you knew was that you did trust him; you trusted all of the Sully’s. Being here, with him choosing you to be vulnerable with, letting his true feelings for you shine, gave you a sense of something dreamlike. The way the warmth of his body spread and his eyes pulling you in…felt so tantalizing. Like he was luring you and you didn’t mind. You thought to yourself, were his eyes always this beautiful? You moved your gaze slowly across his face, taking in all the little details that escaped you before. Overwhelmed by his being and the entire weight of his confession, made you nod you head. Yes, I trust you.
That was all he needed so he grasped your face with both hands and brought your lips to his. This time you didn’t pull away. You let him guide you, letting the moment take the two of you completely. Unsure what to do you, you tried your best to keep up. He parted your lips with a swipe of his tongue. A few more shared kisses before he leaned away, only to bring the two of your to your knees so he could slowly rake his hands down your back and pull your body pressed up against his.
The heat of the moment grew. Two sets of eyes searching, waiting for what came next. A smile of pure joy graced his face making you display one as well. He wasted not another second before he dove back in to have you. You had to take little breaths of air in between the small amounts of time he allowed you. If you had known how good it feels to kiss someone then you would have been doing this earlier in your life. If you had known of Neteyam’s feelings then you could have been kissing him like this, like nothing could matter more in the world than his lips wanting yours, much sooner.
Neteyam let out a stifled growl. He needed more. His hands grasped the back of your thighs as he lowered himself to sit on his heels. He used the back of your thighs to raise you onto his lap. Neteyam smirked at the gasp that escaped you. It drove him to grab the back of your head, deepening the kiss. His lips begun increasing in movement. You finally withdrew when his other hand, the one that wasn’t cradling your head, kept inching lower and lower.
“Neteyam…I think we should stop now.” Your voice soft but strained.
He furrowed his brows, “Why?”
“It’s just a little too fast for me. I’m sorry.” He looked at you briefly, looking for a hint of deceit, but he remembered this is new to you.
“No, don’t apologize. You’re right. We can take things slow, for now.”
You removed yourself from his lap. “We should get back.”
He was quick to follow you. On the walk back to the clan you had an urge to hold his hand, so you did. Stepping feet away from your sleeping parents, Neteyam took a quick kiss. Before you departed he asked, “We’re together now, right? I can be with you like this forever?”
Still reeling from his touches and kisses, you had no other thought but yes. You nodded your head at him and basked in the tight embrace he gave you.
For the remainder of the night, sleep didn’t come for a while as you laid replaying the previous events. You never knew your heartbeat could be so fast. All because of him. Despite you not being on the same level of affection as him, you thought he deserved a chance to have his feelings reciprocated. You’re willingly to be with him and dreaming to see where it leads you.
While you couldn’t stop thinking of what happened, Neteyam couldn’t stop thinking about how he was the first to kiss you. The thought of him being the only person who will get to kiss and have you drove him wild. Nothing mattered more to him than making sure you were only his to touch, kiss, and mate.
Once you he was sure your love was as strong as his, he would make sure you and him stayed together even after Eywa decides it’s time. Nothing will come between Neteyam and what he desires. Not a single thing.
***
That fateful night seemed like an eternity ago. You and Neteyam had been together for over a year now, reaching two. The beginning was slow like how you wanted. Nobody knew of your secret relationship. The nights ended with delicate kisses and warm embraces. Kiri had a hunch. Even though you kept your part hidden, Neteyam didn’t shy away from having some form of touching and lingering around in your presence. His sudden outbursts at any comment Raziel threw at you grew each time. Not only did Kiri suspect, but almost everyone did. When things had become too hard to cover, you fessed up. The Sully family wasn’t surprised. Tuk hugged you for quite a while before Neteyam started to complain about it. Your parents were the only ones slightly shocked but were happy and prideful nonetheless. Especially since it was the son of Toruk Makto. As your relationship with Neteyam grew, so did the heavy weight of everyone’s expectations.
You soon realized the dream of becoming a mighty warrior might not come true. Your parents encouraged you to spend most of your time practicing the ways of Tsahik and so did Neteyam. He was exceptionally insistent you stayed home, with his grandmother, away from the dangers lurking throughout Pandora. After one heated argument with Neteyam over it, you reluctantly agreed. It wouldn’t be so bad to try at least. The past six months have consisted of seeing Neteyam off before he went out with his father to patrol, helping Mo’at grind herbs, staying in Neteyam’s arms when he came home for the rest of the day, and repeat it again.
You longed to see and mount Ora. It’s been weeks since you called for her. The handful of times that you did get to see her, Neteyam was there. You felt a tad guilty for wishing to spend time with your Ikran alone. You weren’t sure how to bring this up with him but you can’t stay holed up all day forever.
Neteyam has always been protective of his siblings, but over the course of your relationship he implemented it with you. You found it cute when he would wrap an arm around your wrist during gatherings for the whole time. He even made you a necklace, one that has matching beads as his.
“Never take this off, okay? If I ever see you without it, it would kill me. You wouldn’t want me to feel that way, would you?”
It was endearing, at first, how he had to beg you to tears to gradually not go hunting or exploring with his siblings without staying by his side. How he would cling onto you no matter what, kissing you all over and saying words of adoration.
But recently, the dynamic between you and him changed drastically. You could tell it was bothering him deeply, but you’ve been so torn up over what happened a week ago.
After dinner one night, you and the Sully kids circled up. You guys often went to a vacant space near the huts to spend time, talking and having fun, to have some sense of relaxation before adulthood crept up on you.
Kiri and Lo’ak seemed to be arguing over a topic that was probably not worth getting heated for, but you got amused watching them. Neteyam pulled you closer, if that was even possible, to give you a peck on the cheek. Which then lead him to tilt your face so he could indulge in deeper kisses to your lips. You never liked it when Neteyam was handsy or displayed this much affection in front of his siblings, especially Tuk. Before you could stop him from going further, an object thrown your way stopped him for you.
“If I knew how gross you two would be, I would have never introduced you! I don’t even want to imagine you two mated.” Kiri pretended to gag then fell into a teasing smile.
You honestly found it funny and so did Tuk and Lo’ak. Neteyam, on the other hand, hissed at her.
“You always find a way to be a little brat.”
You watched as Kiri’s smile fell, hurt replacing any sign of just messing around. You turned your head in shock.
“Neteyam! She didn’t mean it like that.”
“I don’t care. She’s always commenting on our relationship. I’m fucking tired of it.”
His fingers pressed into your side, his annoyance getting the best of him. There’s a scowl on his face towards his sister. It’s quite rattling seeing him snap at her when he’s never done that.
“Dude, chill. It’s not serious.”
Lo’ak glanced between in siblings then to the ground in thought before saying, “Honestly, you’ve been so weird lately. Like we get it, you two love each other, but nobody wants to be around us anymore.”
Your ears twitched. His statement making you confused. You did seem to notice a couple of other young clan members leaving whenever you were around, but you didn’t know why. They never were friends of yours, yet it still left a negative impact in your head. Did you upset them? The atmosphere shifted when Neteyam said his brothers name in warning. His strict voice made you shiver but you pressed further anyways.
“Lo’ak, what do you mean?”
His head lowered and his eyes went between you and Neteyam. The inner conflict he had was apparent. He shook his head, “I overheard some guys, Raziel and his friends. They were saying something about Neteyam…that he threatened them.”
“Is this true? Why would you do that?”
Neteyam scoffed, “You believe that shit? I didn’t threaten anyone. They’re just jealous of us, trying to take you from me.”
You squinted at him. It made no sense to you why they would want to separate the two of you. For over a year, nobody has made an intention like that known. Lo’ak, visibly irritated, kept his jaw tight. Kiri got up and took Tuk with her. She had a feeling things were getting ugly and frankly she was upset. Lo’ak couldn’t keep his anger down anymore, especially after a blatant lie.
“Bro, seriously? You told them you’d skin them alive if they even talked to her! You’re acting crazy!”
Before you could question Neteyam, he spoke, “I’m not fucking crazy! You don’t know what being in love is like! I’m just protecting her…I don’t care about what I said, I would do it if those lowlife bastards even breathed near her.”
Detaching yourself from him, you stared in fear at his words and the sinister voice that accompanied them.
“Neteyam!” You couldn’t grasp that he could even think about harming another person because of you. It made your stomach churn.
“Do you even hear yourself? Protecting her doesn’t mean you can act all psycho and beat someone up! People are scared of you, bro! It’s making them not want to be around us either…you need to chill.”
Lo’ak huffed after voicing out his anger. Lo’ak couldn’t stand to see his siblings being evaded over something that doesn’t include them, or seeing the fallen expression on Tuk when kids would ignore her. He couldn’t stand seeing his brother act like a stranger. Neteyam used to be so kind and good but now that he’s resorted to violence instead of his past level-headedness, Lo’ak doesn’t know what to think anymore. This isn’t the older brother he looked up to.
Lo’ak doesn’t blame you. He actually feels bad that you can’t see what Neteyam has become. Lo’ak has picked up on some weird behaviors his brother has displayed. It made him wonder how he could treat you like that since he’s never seen his parents act in such ways. Ways like how controlling Neteyam is over you; telling you what not to do, who to talk to, or keeping tabs on every little thing you do. Lo’ak didn’t know how to help. He couldn’t outwardly tell you that it’s wrong and not what a healthy relationship consisted of. He just didn’t want to see the both of you like this anymore, a side of his brother that irked him and you so head over heels that you didn’t notice.
Before he can think about it, Lo’ak said, “Honestly, you two should spend some time apart.”
It was a suggestion meant to be caring, to be helpful. You had no time to even process Lo’ak’s sentence. Neteyam left your side, moved so quickly that he pushed you with the action.
You gasped in shock as Lo’ak had been tackled to the ground. Neteyam hovering over him, his knees on each side of his brother locking him in place. His fists making contact repeatedly. You cried hearing Lo’ak’s weak pleas for him to stop. You too begin to plead for Neteyam to get off of him and you tried to grab his arm; unsuccessfully pulling him away.
You felt stunned when you took in the hatred on Neteyam’s face. You’re not sure when you heard their father shout and forcefully shoved his eldest son off his youngest. Lo’ak laid on the ground, coughing up blood, before falling unconscious. Jake could only look at Neteyam in horror before picking up his son. The sight of Lo’ak’s face bloody and unrecognizable made you kneel over and throw up.
When you’ve emptied your stomach, there’s a hand that soothingly rubbed your back. You immediately jerked away to stand, giving distance from Neteyam. You looked at his unscathed body and felt disgusted.
“What the hell is wrong with you? How could you do that to him?” You brought your hands up to your eyes, pressing your palms into them, as if it would help erase what you just saw. You let out a sob.
“Stop crying! You heard what he said! He wants you all to himself.”
You uncovered your eyes in disbelief. What was he talking about? Lo’ak was simply concerned.
“He didn’t say that, Neteyam! He doesn’t want me!” This outburst of his flipped a switch in your mind. Did he truly believe everyone was out to ruin your relationship? That his own brother would too? The longer you looked at him…you couldn’t deny a growing doubt. This isn’t the man you grew to love, at least you thought this wasn’t him. Were you really the cause of him saying awful and doing terrible things?
“Maybe he’s right. We should take a break.”
Neteyam’s sudden grabbing of your wrist caused you to stumble. His eyes squinted and held intense anger. His hand tightened around your skin, it made you wince.
“Don’t say something you don’t mean. We’re not taking a break.”
Despite the large amount of fear, you begun to get frustrated. You pried his hand off you, “I meant it, Neteyam. You scared me and I don’t want to be around you right now.”
You took steps backwards; wishing to be in your hut, alone.
“I’m sorry that I scared you, okay? But you’re hurting me, so much. You can’t leave…don’t you see how much love I have for you?”
Neteyam slowly trailed after you. He no longer looked upset but rather dejected. You swallowed a lump in your throat. The swift change in his demeanor made you cautious instead of guilty.
“I understand how much you love me, and I love you too, but I’m serious.”
You fully turned now, heading home. Your arms were over your chest and your head down.
“Get back here! We’re not done!”
Neteyam’s shout pushed you to quicken the pace. Nearing your hut, you looked over your shoulder. Neteyam walked after you was paused when his father stormed up to him, his hand firmly planted on his son’s chest. You saw Jake furiously say something, but Neteyam’s eyes were locked on your retreating figure.
You cried into your mother’s arms before falling asleep that night.
***
The day after, it was quite easy to avoid Neteyam since he was occupied with his duties, but it became increasingly difficult once he was free. You sat in silence across from Mo’at, who was equally as disappointed after hearing the events from the previous night.
When Mo’at was satisfied with your work she relieved you for the day. You thanked her and got up to leave. Neteyam was lingering around his grandmother’s hut ever since he got back, his face lit up when he saw you. Still mad at him, you ignored his presence and headed out of the caves to call for Ora. You desperately wanted a flight to de-stress. Seconds before you made your calling signal, Neteyam said your name.
“Please, can we talk?”
He stood close behind you. His posture tense. You tilted your head at him, “We’re on a break remember?”
Your words had come out harsher than you intended. You shifted your weight as you saw Neteyam tighten his hands, the healing wounds on his knuckles a reminder of what he did. Neteyam took a deep breath, his body swaying slightly as if he didn’t know what to do with himself.
“I just need to speak with you…please.”
His voice sounded anguished. Your chest tightened, conflicted you spoke, “Neteyam…I don’t know if I want to hear what you have to say right now.”
The silence that followed felt awkward. He came toward you, a scowl on his face, but stopped when you receded. He scoffed, raising his head slightly upward, breathing heavily through his nose.
“Don’t do that, move away from me like I’m scaring you.”
“Well,” you opted out from saying that he was making you frightened, you said, “I just want to be alone. Spend time with Ora, okay? We can talk later-”
“No,” he cut you off, “I need you to listen to me…I apologized to Lo’ak and I’m suffering the consequences, alright?”
Neteyam reached for your hands, holding them softly. “Everything’s okay now, I swear…even if he did deserve it, I promise you won’t see me like that again.”
You stared at him incredulously. How can he say Lo’ak deserved it? And act like it was just something to sweep under the rug?
“It’s not okay, Neteyam! Let go.” You tried pulling out from his grip and you thought you were successful. You took a step back as he fell to his knees, his hands dug into your skin.
“Please…please- don’t do this to me. Don’t be mad at me.” He stared up at you, eyes glossed over.
“Forgive me…”
Eywa, why did he make this so hard for you? Yes, his recent behavior angered and worried you, but you were never good at saying no. Your developed feelings for him were still present, all the good ways he’s made you feel hard to just forget. You felt a surge of guilt seeing him vulnerable. It would break his heart if you up and left him here without as much as a goodbye. You couldn’t bring yourself to do that, so you searched his eyes and gestured for him to get up.
His touch never left as he stood.
“Just give me time to think.”
You took his hands off of you and turned to call Ora. Neteyam protested, saying that you can’t leave him yet, but finally gave up as you hastily mounted your Ikran and took off. He watched from the mountain until you were a mere spot in the sky. A ball of rage grew inside of him at the sight of your Ikran taking you further away. He didn’t like that you could just fly off when he’s trying to have a conversation with you. It wasn’t right.
During your time with Ora, you spent most of it confessing your worries to her. The amount of mixed emotions taking over made you feel bad that Ora had to experience them as well. The decision made when you returned home didn’t come easy. You wanted to know why the beginning of your relationship seemed like an entirely different one than now. Neteyam used to make you flustered with his gentle touches, endless kisses, and private words that felt euphoric. Yes, you knew he has been protective since the beginning, but you used to smooth it over. Thinking that he acted like that over you because it was both your first real relationship. You thought it was cute. You begun to think back on every detail you must have dismissed before.
It conflicted you until you pondered about when he seemed to change. Back towards the fresh months of being together, Neteyam was nothing but the perfect gentleman, someone who you could see as your future. But when you remembered the very first instance of how he lashed out, the change must have started then.
You were too consumed with completing the task of gathering herbs to see a shadow come up behind you. After you left your bent position, Raziel made his presence known. He was so close to your body that when you saw him you stepped back in surprise. You glanced around the area and saw no one else.
“Raziel, what are you doing here?”
He towered over, his glare was piercing, “I just wanted to talk to you.”
“Why?”
Raziel looked down at you with disgust that slowly morphed into something corrupt, “I want to see what’s so special about you.”
“I used to think that you were a little prude…had nothing to offer.”
His eyes continued to roam over your body, “But if the oh so great Neteyam chose you, then there must be something.”
His hand reached out and his fingers played with the bottom of the piece that covered your chest. You shoved his hand away, repulsed by his action.
“Don’t touch me.”
“No, I think I will.”
He went to grab your arm but it was short lived as he was pushed to the side. Neteyam was breathing heavily as he stood beside you. He wasted no time shoving him harder, “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”
This anger radiating off of him was something you have never witnessed before. You moved out of the way and stood behind. Raziel raised his hands in defense, he was never one to actually engage. He always let his friends take the punches for him with whatever fight he started. A pathetic person entirely.
“Nothing, man.”
As Raziel went to leave, Neteyam stared him down. You could tell he was riled up, his biceps flexed as if he was ready to throw a punch. You calmly placed a hand on his chest that brought him back. Neteyam softened his expression a tad seeing you concerned for him.
“It’s okay, love. He’s gone,” you rubbed his arm in a calming manner.
“What did he want? What was he doing to you?”
Still feeling uneasy and disgusted, you evaded his questions.
“Let’s talk about it later. Can we go home?”
Neteyam wanted to know that second but he what he wanted much more was to hold you. He did just that. You accepted the embrace, holding him tightly, and held hands on the way back home.
You didn’t find anything wrong with Neteyam defending you that day. You still don’t because if Neteyam hadn’t stepped in the events that could have transpired would haunt you at night. Maybe after that day the both of you had changed. The days had begun to bleed together when everything started to be the same. He had you with him from morning to night when didn’t have to fulfill his duties, he was twice as affectionate if that was even possible to begin with, and even if you were with your parents or Kiri you could feel him watching.
But you always saw Neteyam as your safety net, he was your protector. You begun to do whatever you could to please him. Ignoring the red flags that were visible to everyone else in the process. To you, Neteyam did no wrong, but who could blame you? You had fallen deep into his world, his eyes, his voice, his love.
That was true love wasn’t it? You give your entirety to him and he gives himself to you. Two people belonging to each other, breathing for one another.
On your ride with Ora, there was no denying how far gone you were. You have become to dependent on him and vice versa. Some time apart would be best, but you don’t think either of you would last. The idea of you being the one to hurt him, his heart, was something you couldn’t fathom. But when you get back you would have to come to an agreement with him. No more threats and violence.
Honestly, there were plenty of things still bothering you. If he was so enamored with anger why didn’t he come to you? Talk to you about it? Why didn’t Lo’ak tell you about his hidden concerns and feelings? You thought to yourself that you would have been understanding, but another thought popped up. Would you have been? Or would you have thought Lo’ak was crazy? That Neteyam was not capable of such things. You must have missed the warning signs. You thought a person couldn’t just act in ways Lo’ak described without it being built up inside.
You frowned to yourself. Was there another side of Neteyam that you couldn’t see? It stung your heart to think of him that way, but the idea formed never left your mind.
When you descended from the sky, Neteyam was there waiting. You must have been gone for hours. He continued to wait as you busied yourself with Ora before sending her off. You looked back to the sky and saw Eclipse was nearing. You still didn’t know what to say. You knew that you didn’t want to leave him, but how were you going to tell him something that could possibly upset him. You didn’t want to do that either.
Neteyam stood before you, his voice deep, “You’ll still be with me, right? You’ve been gone for so long.”
“Yes, I had to think about everything. Us.”
“Was it ever that serious though? To have to rethink us…me?”
His previous sullenness was wiped away, something unreadable taking place. You showed a displeased expression.
“I take your hostile words and actions very seriously, Neteyam. I don’t want you to feel that way on my behalf anymore. I just want you to talk to me when you feel angry. You should have come to me with what has been bothering you, not taking it out on others and making more people hurt and upset.”
Neteyam felt a flicker of irritation. He pursed his lips together as if he ate something distasteful.
“That’s hard to do when everyone in this fucking clan is out to destroy us! Tear you away! Why do you think Lo’ak started that fight? He wanted to put those thoughts in your head to make you question me…hate me.”
You were beyond bewildered. What was he talking about?
“No one is out to destroy us. What makes you think that?”
He looked at you like you were the one spewing nonsense. He shook his head, “How can you not see? Everyone glares at us! I can hear them whispering all around. Especially that fucker Raziel…I had to do something about him. Even my own brother has betrayed me.”
Frustration of your own was kicking in.
“Well, maybe they wouldn’t be like that if you didn’t go around threatening people! That’s the reason why. Kids look up to you, adults respect you, what are they supposed to think when you’re acting like that?”
“What?”
Neteyam scoffed, his tone dark.
“I’m serious. I hate seeing you like this.”
He stepped back as if you slapped him. His aura was like a dark cloud. His eyes cold as they stared into yours.
“You hate me then, don’t you? You don’t love me…if you loved me then you would agree. You would console me, you wouldn’t be arguing with me.”
“Of course, I love you, Neteyam. This just isn’t making any sense to me.”
The main thing that hurt the most was him questioning your love. If anything your deep affection should be so clear. You love him so that’s why you’re having this argument. To try and understand the cause. How can he say that you two shouldn’t be fighting. If you had just dismissed this whole thing then it would have been a massive weight within your mind. A never ending thought that would have consumed you day and night.
Neteyam towered over, “Well, it makes perfect sense to me…I can’t believe this. See? We can’t be doing this,” he displayed his hands out, gesturing to you and him, “This fighting…it’s not right.”
You squinted, disagreement on the tip of your tongue, “Couples fight, Neteyam. Do you just expect me to be quiet and obedient for you? Be a thoughtless servant just for you?”
“Yes.”
Stunned, you chose to stare at his chest. You wondered if this was his true self. Behind the layers of his  kindness, heroic nature, and warmth, was a blazing fire of a dark desire. It burned you. He burned you.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can be that for you. I won’t.”
You wanted to walk off; go anywhere but near him. Neteyam started to panic. He couldn’t help but say what was his truth and the amount of hurt radiating from you was too much. He wrapped himself around you, his hand caressing your hair.
“I- you just mean everything to me, baby. I meant it…in a way that I can’t imagine a life without you. I just don’t want you to give up on me.”
You couldn’t see his face but his voice was wavering and you thought he was starting to cry. A headache was beginning to surface. Is this what people called a one-eighty? He was so angry and now he’s crying on your shoulder. Admittedly, hearing his words made you feel better. He didn’t mean it. He just wanted all of you. The optimist in you outweighed the pessimist and you hoped that this was just a storm passing through.
You held onto that hope as you said, “I won’t give up on you, okay? Can we talk tomorrow? It’s late.”
Neteyam detached himself from you. His eyes were dry, like he didn’t shed even one tear. You pushed the observation away for now. The want to go home on the front of your mind. You tip toed and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek to catch him off guard as you scurried off.
After you greeted your parents and sat emptily to their scolding for coming home past eclipse, you laid awake.
Was he faking it? Did he put on a show for your forgiveness? Sleep didn’t come to give you rest that night.
The continuation of the previous night’s talk didn’t happen. You tried to bring it up, but Neteyam either turned a blind eye or said, “Not now.”
Two weeks passed and they all consisted of not now’s. Neteyam dropped it entirely and you gave up when you realized that meant you had to drop it too.
Since the night of the incident between Neteyam and Lo’ak, your relationship with the Sully family shifted. It was at a point now where you felt ashamed, like it was your fault for this sudden crack in his family’s dynamic. Kiri had been distant with her brother, choosing to exchange words when it was necessary. The rift between the two brothers was growing each day that passed and a swarm of guilt fluttered within you.
To add gasoline onto your burning shame, you have been distant with them as well. It’s been weeks since you had a conversation with Kiri that wasn’t an awkward exchange of greetings and you have barely seen Tuk since she’s been training for her rites. But now, you found yourself alone with Lo’ak.
The normal routine was back the day after your argument with Neteyam. That routine being him carrying out his duties alongside his father and you busing yourself with Mo’at tasks. You had been left alone in her hut before the youngest Sully son sauntered over. Nothing was said, he merely watched you work.
Of course, you felt his watchful eyes and tried not to make your nervousness known. You avoided glancing at his face and the healing scar above his eye.
The never ending guilt harboring inside yourself felt like a heavy mass. You’ve been meaning to talk to Lo’ak, ask him how he’s been, but you failed at having the courage. Seeing him and having his presence alongside yours forced the words out.
“How are you? Are you fully healed?”
Your hands were grinding herbs, a seemingly automatic movement you’ve mastered by now, but your attention was solely focused on him. Lo’ak previously had been staring at the array of wooden bowls scattered on the floor, memorizing their contents to not make his sudden appearance as awkward as it was.
He lifted his head at your voice, “I’m fine, but as you can see,” he ran his fingers over the scar, “I have something to remember it all by.”
You shut your eyes, pained at the memory of that night.
“I’m so sorry, Lo’ak. I wish it never happened.”
He said your name, his voice sounding distressed. Lo’ak looked sick which then turned into something urgent. His ear twitched.
“Please, don’t take offense to this…but you shouldn’t be so nice,” he shook his head, “No, that doesn’t sound right. I mean, you’re too merciful when it comes to Neteyam. You’re too forgiving for your own good. Here you are giving me a more sincere apology than Neteyam over something that isn’t your fault…I thought after everything you’d see…”
He spoke his last sentence softy. Everything seemed clearer to him now.
“I would see what?” You said. Lo’ak bit his lower lip, anxious.
“Don’t you see that Neteyam is different? He’s not the same.”
“You mean his anger issues? I know it’s a problem, but with a little help-”
He cut you off, “Not just his anger…” Lo’ak said your name softly like he was tasked with delivering upsetting news, “I’ve never been serious with someone like you and Neteyam, but I do know right from wrong. The way he just throws commands at you, controls what you do or who you speak to, even the way he keeps tabs on you at all times. Don’t get me started on how he is at home…you know, Kiri made so many plans with you, she was so excited. But every time Neteyam shut her down. Saying how she would put you in danger or he doesn’t like you being away without him knowing. It’s like he doesn’t trust you. It’s wrong.”
Maybe at the start of your budding romance you would have defended Neteyam, hissed or fought with Lo’ak. But things are different, so different, and you take in all his words to heart. You did notice the change to his overbearing, possessive even, behavior and it made you feel naive to only notice it after something bad happened. But to keep you from Kiri? You’re only friend? You felt betrayed. Lo’ak had a point. Neteyam didn’t trust you. It made you feel sick.
“Lo’ak…I tried to convince him that we need a break but he wouldn’t hear it. All we do is argue and I’m just so confused all the time. He makes me confused.”
You placed the forgotten bowl of herbs in your hands onto the ground. Defeat covered every inch of you. Lo’ak let the space fill with silence. He didn’t know how to help you. His brother beat him up before and he didn’t want to do something that caused history to repeat itself. You, on the other hand, took this as a chance to finally confide in someone.
“I love him…or maybe I love him because the Neteyam I fell in love with has to still be a part of him, right? There’s been times when I thought he put on a front. He said and did things that made me feel so guilty, like it was always my fault he lashed out. I was trapped and the only way out was to cave. But there was something so eerily empty in his eyes. They didn’t captivate me anymore but instead made me question his every move, his intentions.”
Your chest felt heavy and you didn’t know if you had the strength to carry the weight. The increase in speed of your pounding heart put your mind into disarray.
“He won’t let me go, ever.”
Lo’ak opened his mouth but the clan abruptly erupted in chaos. People leaving their huts at the noise and jogging past caused Lo’ak and yourself to follow. A large circle was formed and for a second you could catch nothing, only the sound of a woman wailing. Her cries guttural and full of pain rattled you to your core. Your unease grew when clan members from the inner circle began pushing their way out. Some were crying and others had hands clasped over their mouths like they were going to hurl. Curious and worried people dropped the crowd incessantly, running away.
You understood why when you saw it.
Raziel laid in his mother’s arms. Lifeless. The only reason for your assurance on his death being the ripped pieces of his chest and stomach. His insides spewed out and the amount of dark blood everywhere. You stood planted and stared at his mangled body for what felt like eternity. The last thing you saw before turning around was his hand and the empty spots where his fingers should be.
You stare at the ground ahead of you, barely noticing the embrace of Lo’ak. He hurriedly lead the both of you away. The voice of his father trying to comfort the weeping woman in the distance.
Raziel…you didn’t like him one bit but no one deserved to die like that. Upon first glance anyone would assume it was an animal attack, but your gut told you otherwise.
The cuts above his chest were too small, straight, and thin to be claw marks. And his hand…you’ve seen Mo’at tend to a few clan members who barely survived animal attacks and you had a gist of what a bitten off finger could look like. Raziel’s hand looked nothing like that, the cuts were too clean.
You peered into Lo’ak’s eyes and without words he understood.
“He couldn’t be capable of this. He can’t be.”
“Your father is here,” you looked over Lo’ak’s shoulder at the Olo’eyktan, “So where is Neteyam.”
Lo’ak moved his head around the clan searching intensely. While he was distracted, you ran off. You ventured until you were at the furthest corner of the open space just outside the cave’s opening. No one was nearby. It felt strange seeing the outskirts of the cave so empty, especially at this time of day, but the echoing of shouts and crying felt more uncanny.
You called for Ora. Her usually instant arrival was replaced by nothing. The sky was clear of your beloved Ikran. You called three more times. Eyes searching the horizon for any sign of her but you were met with not a single thing, not even a screech from afar. Your gut twisted and your body shook as unwelcome nerves overtook you.
There were overgrown vines alongside the mountain and for the first time you were grateful the clan moved to a cavity closer to the ground. You wasted no time grabbing onto the vines and descending.
When you hit the ground, you traveled into the forest. You weren’t sure what you were doing. This was insane. You knew you were looking for Neteyam, if he was even out here, but you weren’t ready to know what you would find. There was no plan in your head, but your body kept moving. You halted when you found yourself near the lake.
You saw Neteyam before he could see you. You crouched and walked through the trees, trying to get a better view. You only saw the top of his head since he was blocked by the lush greenery. When you hid half your body behind a large tree trunk, you saw his entirety.
He was standing in the water. The once serene shade of blue turned red. Neteyam was cleaning himself of blood. You didn’t know how long he’s been grabbing handfuls of water to wash his dirtied skin, but you could see that the upper part of his body was still covered in splatters of the red substance. Your hand covered your mouth at the sight. It raveled into shed tears and swallowed down cries. Raziel…his mother, father, the clan. Nobody had gotten close to being with Eywa in years.
The amount of mourning to come because of your love, your Neteyam…being in love never hurt so much.
The once clear skies became covered with stormy clouds. The rain that fell onto your face blended well with your tears, but you kept your gaze strong ahead.
The blood and water mixed like two colors on a canvas, and Neteyam was the painter. He did it. There’s no other explanation for him to be washing off this much blood.
Neteyam killed him.
The sudden urge to get away quickly without him noticing made you take one last glance then you turned around. Your legs ached as you were still crouched and heading deeper into the forest. You must have been so clouded with pain and betrayal you stopped worrying about making a sound, a silent escape.
Neteyam whipped his head towards the trees at the sound of a twig snapping. He waded out of the water slowly. He was trained at hunting, it’s his specialty. He knew how to move through the forest unseen and unheard. His movement halted when he saw you standing.
You couldn’t go on with the cramp building in your leg. A simple mistake due to the need for rest that you now had to pay.
Neteyam spoke your name. It was like a gun shot signaling a race to start. You ran.
***
Eclipse had fallen by the time you made it deep into the forest and the downpour of rain had caused you to lose your footing twice. You haven’t run this amount in a while. So, you tracked further until you could no longer take it. You found a low leaf of a tree and hid behind it to catch your breath.
You were not sure how long you’ve been resting but your ears twitched the second you heard slow steps crunching on the ground. You pressed your back into the bark of the tree when he called your name again.
“Don’t hide from me. I don’t like it.”
You closed your eyes and prayed to Eywa that he would tread past you. You should have known better though. Neteyam is a skilled warrior, a hunter. It was incredibly still and quiet as you exhaled slowly to not make your presence known.
Eywa didn’t answer your prayer.
His hand gripped your arm and pulled you to your feet. He took your chin in his hand, tilting your head upwards.
Neteyam didn’t like playing games like this. He tightened his grip, “You’ve been a bad girl…I told you not to come out here by yourself. Why are you here?”
His hand dug so hard into your skin that you couldn’t be released no matter how hard you tried.
“Neteyam, please, let go of me!”
His eyes hardened and narrowed into slits. He had a tiring day and finding you in the forest made it worse. He watched you wander down to his chest. Your own eyes widening at the remnants of now dried blood. Neteyam smirked at the realization.
“Did the clan find my present? Is that why you’re here, to thank me?”
You let the hidden back sobs free. “Why? How could you do something so horrible?!”
“Is defending your honor horrible? He put his filthy fucking hands on you. He wanted you. Raziel would have always been filthy. All I did was a little cleaning.”
You tasted bile in the back of your throat, but dismissed it as you uttered, “I dont know who you are. You aren’t the man I grew to love. I don’t want anything with you anymore.”
Neteyam laughed, “That will be hard once we’re mated.”
“We will never be mated. It isn’t even a possibility because when your father and the rest of the clan find out about what you did-”
“They won’t though. I may have made a few mistakes, I mean I was blinded by rage, but I have killed countless animals. The clan, and my father, will think of it as only a tragic animal attack. It’s happened before and will likely again.”
Neteyam gently raised his hand to the back of your head, fingers weaving through the depth of your hair. He gripped tightly and pulled. You shouted in pain and looked at him through hooded eyes due to the angle your head was now at.
He closed the space between you with his body against yours, “Besides, there’s no point in you betraying me. No one would believe you. I will always be a perfect son in my parent’s eyes.”
Neteyam loosened his tight grip. His hand cupped your face instead, “And I can’t have the people think my mate is crazy. That is what they’d call you, but we can’t have that.”
The longer you stared at him you knew everything was gone. His eyes that made you feel seen, his words that filled you with joy and complete adoration were now a distant memory. You had grown exhausted throughout this relationship. All the fighting, feeling confused, putting Neteyam’s feelings before your own, and letting all your life’s goals and wishes be crushed down to a mere daydream to keep him happy. It wasn’t worth it anymore. Lo’ak was right. This isn’t what love is supposed to be.
You pushed his hand off and for good measure you shoved him by the chest. “If I have to live my life holding this dreadful secret to myself, then fine. But I’ll do it alone. I’m done.”
Neteyam was offended. He looked at your hands with dislike. His own clenched, nails digging painfully into his skin. How dare you push him away? After all he’s done for you?
“You always have to defy me. Everything I do is for you! But how do you repay me? By starting useless arguments and doubting me. Stop letting other people convince you I’m not good for you. I know you don’t mean it.”
Neteyam towered over you, you’re back harshly hitting the bark of a tree. His tone deep and sinister as he said, “If you ever think of leaving me…think about the disappointment of my parents. I will be the leader of this clan and you are expected to birth my children. They will be heartbroken to see me, their son, without a mate.”
He raised an arm and rested his palm against the bark near your head. He bent down to meet your eyes, “ You’d break Kiri’s heart as well. You’re her only friend. Do you want to see her so alone? Not only would my parents be displeased, but your parents…they would disown you. Their only child in love with the future Olo’eyktan only to break his heart. They would never look at you the same. You would let down your family? Over all this? You would be forgotten. You would never find someone who would give you his entire life and being to you. Not as much as me.”
Neteyam wiped away the never ending tears escaping you, “Stop crying. All our problems are gone now, baby.”
He smiled and his lips met yours. To him it was a passionate kiss. He didn’t mind the feeling of your tears falling onto his face. You felt empty, like Neteyam drained you of everything. You had no more power to fight back, no more strength to go against him anymore. You had become a puppet. The strings that held you up were no match to him. Neteyam held them firmly in his hands and had all the control.
His lips pressed deeper into yours, his other hand grabbing your lower back. When he parted he brushed away more tears.
“Let’s go home.”
Neteyam truly had given you his entirety. Of course, the fact that you weren’t as obedient as he wanted bothered him constantly. But his anger towards you never lasted long.
He woke up that day feeling much clearer than he ever was. The outside forces trying to break through the barriers of your relationship had to be put to an end.
When he climbed up to the part of the mountains where the Ikran’s rested and gave Ora to Ewya or when he got on top of Raziel and ignored his pleas as he ended his life…Neteyam only had one thought in mind.
This is love.
End.
A/N: tbh I wrote most of this with days in between so I’m not sure if it makes any sense at all :) but thank you for reading nonetheless! So sad he killed Ora like how rude.

After the Sky People were sent back to Earth, some humans were allowed to stay on Pandora alongside the Na'vi. Among them were your parents, two scientists who had always advocated for the Na'vi alongside Grace, Norm, and Jake. A few years later, you were born. Thanks to the connections your parents had with Neytiri and Jake, you spent your youth alongside the Sully family. You had established a small routine at a very young age. In the morning, you would wake up and have a quick breakfast with your parents. Then, grabbing your little pouch and bidding your parents farewell, you would hurry to join your friends. Every day on Pandora was an adventure for you.
Walking on the cool forest floor toward the village, upon arrival, everyone was already up. Some Na'vi went foraging, while others went hunting. Children sat around an elder of the village, listening to a story. You smiled gently and made your way up to the Sully family house.
As you approached the entrance, suddenly, Tuk appeared, running. She screamed with joy before Neteyam caught her and tossed her into the air. You chuckled slightly, catching Neteyam's attention.
"Oh, hey Y/N," Neteyam said with a smile. He held Tuk in his arms, and she also greeted you with a big smile. "Lo'ak! Your sweetheart Y/N is here!" Neteyam called to his brother.
Your face turned a shade of violet, and Neteyam burst into laughter. Sounds could be heard from inside the house—footsteps—and finally, Lo'ak emerged.
"Hi Y/N…" Lo'ak said with a shy smile. "I didn't know you were coming to the house today, not that I don't want to see you! I like seeing you; you're pretty, I mean, not that you weren't before! Yes—" Lo'ak stammered and spoke very quickly; you didn't quite catch the end.
"Kiri invited me to gather pearls together." You replied, smiling.
At that moment, time seemed to slow down for Lo'ak, his eyes lingering on every detail of your face. He seemed captivated, as if simply hearing your voice or seeing you smile brought him indescribable joy.
"Pearls, huh?" he repeated, searching for his words. "That's great. I mean, you'll surely look beautiful with pearl bracelets. Well, you already are, you know… beautiful, I mean."
A slight blush tinted Lo'ak's cheeks as he tried to compose himself, continuing to smile mischievously. His words seemed to jumble in his head, perhaps reflecting the confusion of his feelings.
You chuckled at the scene. He was cute, you thought. Neteyam and Tuk had stepped back a bit to give you some space. Neteyam sighed, looking at his younger brother; he had a long way to go, he thought.
At the same time, Kiri came out of the house with a handcrafted pouch around her waist. You gave one last smile to Lo'ak and greeted everyone before heading, with Kiri, towards the village's exit.
"Pearls, huh? That's great. I mean, you'll surely look beautiful with pearl bracelets. Well, you already are, you know… beautiful," Neteyam said, mockingly mimicking his brother. "You could have at least told her to be careful in the forest; you really have things to learn."
Lo'ak remained there, watching you walk away with Kiri, his persistent smile and dreamy gaze. Neteyam shook his head, looking at his brother with a mischievous smile.
"You are truly hopeless, Lo'ak. You look like a hopelessly in love teenager every time she's around," teased Neteyam.
Lo'ak rolled his eyes but couldn't help but laugh slightly. "Oh, leave me alone, Neteyam. You don't understand."
Neteyam raised an eyebrow, teasing. "Really? And what don't I understand?"
Lo'ak hesitated for a moment, then opened up. "It's just… it's been a long time, you know. Since we were kids. I can't quite remember exactly when it happened, but there's something about her that has always… captured my heart. Since our childhood, Neteyam."
His older brother looked at him with a knowing smile.
Lo'ak's smile softened. "Everything about her appeals to me. The fact that she's smaller than me makes me want to protect her, even though she can defend herself without me. She's so good with the clan's little ones, teaching them English and games from her world. There isn't a memory where she isn't present. It's like she's always been there, an integral part of my life. And today, seeing her, I realize that it hasn't changed. My heart still beats faster when she's around. It's… it's more than just an attraction, Neteyam. I think I'm really in love with her."
Neteyam looked at his brother with sudden understanding, his teasing demeanor giving way to genuine respect. "Well, little brother, maybe it's time to tell her. You'll never know if she feels the same unless you try."
Lo'ak sighed, knowing that Neteyam was right. "Maybe, but it's scary,
you know? What if she doesn't feel the same? She's human, and I'm… I'm just me." Lo'ak looked at his hands. "I'm nothing special; she'd probably prefer to be with another human, even if there aren't really any her age, or someone skilled in something."
His brother placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Lo'ak, don't talk about yourself like that. You know, she has admired you since she was little. The biggest regret you could have is never trying. Life is too short not to pursue what you really want. And who knows, maybe the love you've felt for so long is reciprocated. Have you ever noticed how she looks at you when you're not paying attention? It's like she's waiting for you to make the first move."
Lo'ak watched you disappear into the forest, a mix of apprehension and determination in his gaze. Perhaps it was time to let his heart speak, to share his feelings with the one who had held a special place in his life for so long.

The golden rays of the sun filtered through the dense canopy of Pandora's forest, creating a mosaic of light and shadow dancing on the emerald-covered ground. Towering trees with twisted trunks and bioluminescent leaves stood majestically above the two friends, creating a mystical and enchanting atmosphere.
The gentle murmur of the breeze blended with the songs of exotic birds, forming a natural symphony that seemed to envelop each of your steps and those of Kiri. Vibrantly colored flowers blossomed along the path, attracting butterflies with shimmering wings. The endless shades of green in the vegetation ranged from the soft foliage of plants to the darker tones of lush shrubs.
As you walked, Kiri broke the silence with a teasing question. "So, Y/N, how's it going with Lo'ak?"
You smiled, reminiscing about Lo'ak's earlier awkward moments. "Oh, you know, the usual stammering and slightly awkward compliments. Nothing new."
Kiri joyfully chuckled. "He's so cute when he tries, isn't he? But seriously, between you and him, how is it really going?"
You pretended to ponder, picking up a few pearls along the way. "Well, we've been friends forever. But recently, it's different. Well, maybe it's me starting to notice something different in him…"
Kiri arched an eyebrow, smiling mischievously. "Different? Like what, for example?"
You blushed slightly. "I notice his awkward side, which I don't mind. He may seem immature, but when things get serious, he can be serious. He cares about the people around him, even if sometimes he acts on his own… but I don't mind that."
Kiri, instead of directly confirming Lo'ak's feelings, teased you with a mischievous smile. "Ah, love is in the air. It feels like the beginning of a grand adventure. What do you plan to do now?"
You shrugged, not quite sure what to say.
"Wait for him to make the first move, if he likes me, of course. But there are so many talented girls in the clan. Ti'avin, one of the best singers, and her sister who seems to float when she dances. I'm just human; I could never be skilled enough… I have this feeling that he likes me. Sometimes his lingering glances, how he hugs me when he's happy, and when he blushes. I really feel like he likes me, but I'm not sure."
Kiri, sensing the note of doubt in your words, shook her head firmly. "Well, listen to me, Y/N. You're amazing in your own way. Beauty isn't just in singing or dancing. It's in the way you walk through this forest, the way you smile when Lo'ak awkwardly compliments you. You are unique, and no one else can do it like you."
She gave you a friendly shoulder bump. "And don't underestimate Lo'ak. You don't need to compete with anyone. Just be yourself."
You looked at your best friend, your gaze reflecting gratitude. "You always have a way of lifting my spirits, Kiri. Thank you."
Kiri smiled. "That's what friends are supposed to do, right? Now, forget the doubts and let's quickly gather the pearls."
She pointed to a spot where a sparkling waterfall merged into a natural pool, creating an enchanting tableau. "And how about picking some of those flowers? They'll add a special touch to our pearl bracelets."
You smiled, grateful for Kiri's reassuring presence. You continued your walk through the forest, pushing away dark thoughts and letting yourself be carried away by the magical beauty surrounding you.

During the week, Lo'ak seemed to be elusive. Whenever you approached him, he found an excuse and fled. Initially, you thought he was probably busy, but after five consistent days of lies, you began to be hurt by his actions. Several times, Kiri caught your gaze, which was devoid of any joy.
Had you done something wrong?
That was the question you had posed to your best friend. You could see the disappointment in her eyes. She reassured you throughout the evening until mealtime.
During dinner, the Sully family noticed Lo'ak's absence. He was there, but his gaze was lost. He hadn't even touched his food, which worried Neytiri. Kiri stared fixedly at her brother. At the end of dinner, before he could come up with an excuse to escape once again, she took her brother by the arm and led him in front of the house. She made him sit on the edge, feet dangling.
"Lo'ak, what's wrong? You look troubled," she asked with concern.
Lo'ak sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "It's Y/N. I wanted to confess my feelings to her, but every time I try, I lose my words, or worse, I feel paralyzed. So, I run away like a fool. And I can see that it hurts her, but I don't know how to go about it."
Kiri looked at him with understanding. "You know, Lo'ak, Y/N might have already noticed your feelings. She is very attentive, you know."
Lo'ak lowered his eyes, a mix of sadness and frustration on his face. "I've tried, you know. I wanted to court her seriously and give her gifts every day, in the Na'vi way, but I don't know if that's what she prefers. I feel like I'm acting like a child, and I don't know how to tell her what I really feel."
Kiri gently placed her hand on her brother's shoulder. "Lo'ak, you are sincere, that's what matters. And maybe you can ask our old father for advice."
Lo'ak nodded, appreciating his sister's advice.
Kiri left, smiling at Lo'ak, giving him some space to think. As calm returned, Jake approached and sat next to his son.
"Is everything okay?" asked Jake, noticing Lo'ak's troubled expression.
Lo'ak sighed. "It's Y/N, father. I wanted to confess my feelings to her, but every time I try, I lose my words, or I feel paralyzed. I don't want to hurt her, but I don't know how to go about it."
Jake placed a reassuring hand on Lo'ak's shoulder. "Feelings are complicated, Lo'ak. But there's something I remember from a movie I saw back on Earth, before coming here. It was a movie called 'Love Actually.' There was a scene where a boy confesses his feelings to a girl with cards. Since you can't seem to speak, maybe that could work."
Lo'ak looked up, intrigued. "Cards?"
"Yes, cards. He wrote his feelings on cards, one by one. It was a sincere declaration of love, and it was beautiful because it was honest and authentic. Maybe you could try something similar, express what you feel through carefully chosen words."
Lo'ak pondered the idea, wondering if this approach could be the key to overcoming his difficulties in expressing himself. "It might work. Thank you, father. I'll think about it."
Jake gave him an encouraging smile. "Don't forget, Lo'ak, love doesn't follow a script. Be yourself, and it will all happen as it should."
Lo'ak nodded, grateful for his father's advice.

Night fell gently on Pandora, painting the sky with shades of orange and purple. You stood at the edge of a cliff, contemplating the celestial spectacle unfolding before you. The stars shone with brilliant intensity, creating a magical tableau in the darkness.
As you lost yourself in the stars, a slight noise behind you made you turn around. It was Lo'ak, holding large cards in his hands. He seemed awkward, but his eyes sparkled with a determined light.
"Lo'ak?" you said, surprised to see him here.
Lo'ak stammered for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Y/N, there's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time. I… I don't always manage to find the words, so I thought maybe, cards could help me."
He carefully unfolded the first card, hand-written words displayed. "You are like the stars, Y/N, lighting up my life with your presence. Every time I see the starry sky, I think of you."
You read the words, Lo'ak's emotions expressed through each line. You looked up at him, and he continued, a bit more confident.
"When you're around, the world seems to slow down." You read before he changed the card. "Your smiles brighten my days, and your presence fills me with joy." Your cheeks began to warm.
"You are the most beautiful fate."
"You are the love of my soul."
These were such romantic phrases. Your heart was racing.
"I know I'm clumsy with words, but I want to tell you that…" Lo'ak lowered the card, looking at you with an intensity that reflected his deep love. "I see you with my heart, not my eyes. Oel Ngati Kameie."
You were moved by the sincerity of his words, remaining speechless for a moment.
"Lo'ak…" you finally whispered, a radiant smile lighting up your face. "It's beautiful."
Lo'ak offered you a shy but joyful smile. "I was afraid you wouldn't understand, that my words wouldn't live up to what I truly feel."
You approached him and gently took his hands. "Lo'ak, your words are perfect. And you… you are perfect."
Lo'ak stepped towards you, letting the cards fall from his hands, and embraced you. Your face was buried in his chest, and he held you a little tighter, the warmth of his embrace enveloping you.
The stars shone above you, silent witnesses to this magical moment. Then, without a word, Lo'ak wrapped his arms around your waist to lift you slightly. Your head was now at his level. His freckles glistened, and without saying a word, he captured your lips in a sweet and passionate kiss.
As you separated, you rested your head against Lo'ak's shoulder.
After a few moments in silence, you sat together on the edge of the cliff, your hands still entwined, and looked up at the starry sky.
"You know, Lo'ak, I had a feeling," you admitted softly, a teasing smile on your lips.
Lo'ak looked at you, surprised. "Really?"
You nodded. "Yes, but I wanted you to make the first move. And I'm so happy that you did."
You stayed there, marveling at the beauty of the night sky, sharing laughter, knowing glances, and silent promises for the future.
Your differences were just an insignificant detail in the infinite brilliance of the stars, a symbol of love that had finally found its way.

ALTERNATIVE, EVEN SILLIER PROMPT
Spider’s shoulder dislocated and he’s never experienced that before so he’s just hyperventilating, wondering why his arm is flailing around while Quaritch has to calm him down and pop it back into place.
This took me a while babes but here we are eventually 💞 Sorry it took me long 🤗
It was going to shit. You didn’t need to be a rocket scientist to see that. Fike’s attempt at wrangling an ikran had been going disastrously since he started, and although Spider had enjoyed watching the recom dodge the animal’s sharp beak in an attempt not to get his head bitten off, even he was starting to worry that the situation was fast approaching out-of-control.
Quaritch had already tamed his banshee, and was watching intently from the sky. Mansk had gone next, followed by Zdinarsk, but the majority of the group remained on the ground, shouting encouragement and advice from their vantage points.
Fike had seemed nervous from the start. It was clear, now, that he was struggling. The fourth member of project Phoenix had chosen a cyan blue male with green field marks - the kind of green Spider had seen in the aurora to the North. It was a beautiful ikran, but fierce. And Fike wasn’t prepared.
The recom was on the ground, pinned underneath his beast, who was snapping his beak trying to tear Fike’s head off.
“Watch it!” Prager shouted from beside Spider, who flinched when the animal lunged for Fike’s head again, this time managing to snap his ear. Fike let out a roar of pain as blood gushed from the place his ear used to be.
Behind him, Spider heard the sound of Wainfleet loading up the gun that Quaritch had wanted to use. No way in hell, thought Spider. Bonding with any creature on Pandora was a sacred act, and to do so with some kind of artificial aid felt like a violation.
Without thinking, Spider jumped forward, entering the match to help Fike. He didn’t want the recom to succeed, but he had to stop Wainfleet from shooting the ikran. “Stop!” he shouted as he lunged over a rock and put his hands up to the animal, exposed.
The ikran paused its attack on Fike just long enough to stare at Spider in surprise. Fike was dangling dangerously close to the cliff’s edge, and any wrong move would send them both over.
“Easy there,” Spider murmured to the animal, not looking her in the eye. He knew how stupid this was. Unlike the Na’vi, he couldn’t simply bond with the creature if it decided to attack. No ikran had ever tried to hurt him in the past, but that’s because he gave them space and never interrupted a fight. Nothing could save him if the banshee attacked.
“Kid, what are you doing!”
“Spider!”
“Get back HERE!”
He ignored the various voices and took another tentative step closer to the ikran. “Easy, boy,” he continued, hoping that Fike could get his act together soon and make the bond.
With a grunt of pain, Fike wriggled out from the ikran’s belly. The animal realised almost immediately and raised a sharp talon to slash down through Fike’s arm. Spider heard Fike’s grunt at the same time as Wainfleet yelled at him. “Get DOWN!”
Knowing he was in Wainfleet’s line of fire, Spider jumped to the side, hoping to distract the ikran just long enough for Fike to clamber on top.
That turned out to be incredibly stupid.
The ikran screeched furiously at him, turning its attention from the injured recom to Spider, giving Spider just a second to brace himself before the animal swiped him with a huge talon, the force of it sending him back several strides. He landed disastrously on the hard rock and cried out in pain as he realised something was extremely wrong with his arm.
He looked up, expecting the ikran advancing on him to be his final sight. What he actually saw was Fike finally pulling himself together enough to leap onto the animal’s back, grabbing his kuru and plunging it next to the ikran’s.
Once he was sure the pair were bonded and the situation was under control, Spider threw his head back and allowed the pain in his shoulder to consume him. He tried to push himself up into sitting, but could only use his left arm to support himself.
“Fuck!” he cried, clutching his right arm. This did nothing to ease the pain - in fact it made it worse. He’d never felt something like this before, and it scared him. He’d broken his arm once, and that was nowhere near as bad as this.
Before he knew it, Prager was by his side, along with Ja and Wainfleet. “What happened?” demanded Quaritch over the comms.
Prager’s hands were gently trying to manoeuvre Spider's right arm into a more comfortable position, while a focused expression clouded his face. “It’s dislocated,” he muttered. Wainfleet relayed the information over the comms and within moments the squad leader had landed, all thoughts of Fike’s battle to the death long over.
“Is that bad?” Spider asked through clenched teeth, trying anything he could to not cry from the agony. He couldn’t move his right arm at all, and his shoulder felt like it had simply been blown off.
“It’s not fun,” the medic responded, “but we can fix it quickly.”
Spider was mainly focused on keeping his breathing steady, so he tuned out the rest of the conversation. Wainfleet and Ja had left at some point, presumably to go check on Fike if he had landed yet.
Despite the pain, Spider reminded himself that at least his ear hadn’t just been torn off.
“-don’t carry any human-“
“-fuck him up?”
Spider looked up at this alarming exchange, glancing between Prager and Quaritch. “What’s going on?” he demanded, but it came out as a very half hearted groan.
Quaritch looked at Prager, who was the one to explain. “I can pop your shoulder back in, no problem. But it’s gonna be… painful. I’ve only got recombinant painkillers.”
“Is it safe?” Spider asked.
“It’s never really been tested before. Theoretically, there’s nothing toxic in the gas and air. But it’s around seven times stronger for recoms.”
“Gas and air?” Quaritch interrupted. “How’s that gonna work with his mask?”
“I can hook it up,” Prager responded simply.
Spider groaned, his shoulder choosing that moment to throb especially hard.
“It’s up to you, boss.”
“No," Spider winced before Quaritch had a chance to reply. "Give it to me.”
“Are you sure?” the squad leader asked, looking uncertain.
Spider nodded. He was big for a human - he could take it.
Prager took off his back and started to rummage for the equipment while Quaritch took over holding Spider’s arm in place. “Small breaths,” Quaritch murmured, and somewhere deep inside Spider did an internal eye roll that his genocidal father’s clone was giving him tips on pain management.
As if Spider didn’t know how to deal with pain.
“Okay kid, in a second I’m gonna plug the medicine into your exopack. It will only take a few seconds to diffuse and you’ll start to feel it.” Spider wanted to tell the medic to just hurry up already. “Then I’ll pop your arm back into place nice and easy. Just keep breathing steadily. You ready?”
Spider looked at him before nodding. Prager fiddled with the exopack on Spider’s back, which in itself felt vulnerable. Before he had time to dwell on this though, a strange smell permeated his mask. He breathed in deeply, and was hit with a wave of dizziness. Woah. Whatever the hell that was, it was fucking strong.
“Fuck,” he cussed as he closed his eyes and leaned backwards, afraid he was gonna pass out. Arms caught him from behind, adjusting him to a certain sitting position. He could feel Prager’s hands on his elbow and shoulder, but the pain was muted, as if it was waving at him from across an ocean.
“Clench your teeth and don't bite your tongue. You hear me, Spider? Just relax,” Prager instructed, and Spider tried to focus on the words, although it took him a while to process that simple instruction. Relax? Relax? When he was captured by the enemy and having to rely on the murderous RDA for medical aid? “You’re crazy,” Spider slurred with a smirk. He should be scared of them, but he wasn’t. “You’re… delusional…”
No one replied to him - at least, he couldn’t hear them if they did, because all of a sudden his elbow was jerked into a new position, sending a muted wave of pain over his skin like goosebumps. “OW!” He protested angrily. He couldn’t remember why Prager was hurting him. He couldn’t remember why he was here. He didn’t think he could even recall his name.
“All done,” Quaritch said awkwardly.
“Wwhat’ss done?”
“Your arm’s back to normal.”
Prager was watching him carefully.
Spider frowned. “What happened to m’arm?”
Prager raised an eyebrow, which was entirely unhelpful, so Spider turned to Quaritch. This was equally disappointing because Quaritch looked constipated.
This only heightened Spider’s anxiety. What had happened? It must be bad. “Did it fall off?”
“Just stay still while I wrap it,” responded Prager. The medic proceeded to create some sort of sling for Spider’s arm, but Spider wasn’t paying attention. He was more focused on the strange pink patches of skin that interrupted his natural blue.
How bizarre. Suddenly, it seemed hilarious. Why did he have pink skin when he was from Pandora? Nobody else did.
He couldn’t help the burst of laughter that escaped him. He tried to stop it but it came out more of a raspberry and spit sprayed the inside of his mask. “Why’s m’skin PINK?!” he cackled, finding it difficult not to wheeze in hysterics. “Hey… HEY! Do you see it?”
Quaritch didn’t look half as amused as Spider felt. His face was set in a sour expression and even Prager looked a little concerned. What had gotten into them? “It’s pink…!”
“Okay, try and keep your arm still okay, Spider?” Prager said.
“My arm?”
Prager nodded. “You’ll need to wear the sling for the rest of today to help with the tenderness.”
“What’s wrong with my arm?” he asked in worry.
“It’s fine, Spider. You just dislocated it.”
“Dis…?” He looked down at his left arm and brought it up to his face. “It’s fine!”
Quaritch sighed. “The other one. No! Don’t try to move that one…”
Spider looked down and was surprised to find his right arm was secured to his chest in a folded piece of white material. There was a large knot at the back of his neck. “What’sss that?”
“It’s a sling. It will keep your arm still while the shoulder heals.”
“My arm? What happened to my arm?!”
Instead of being helpful and explaining what had happened to his poor arm, Quaritch’s face twitched slightly.
“Aaaand that’s enough of that,” Prager said, fiddling with a tube that was connected to Spider’s exopack.
“Hey! Get off, you’ll choke me!”
“Shh, kid, it’s okay,” Quaritch tried to console him. But Spider knew he couldn’t trust this man. He couldn’t remember exactly why, but he knew he was bad.
“Do you even remember my name?” Prager asked, looking bemused as he sat back to pack away the medkit.
Spider frowned. “Why would I not remember y’name? I don’t have brain damage.”
“Then what is it?”
He knew this. He knew it. Wait… why did he not know it? “I don’t want say,” he whispered conspiratorially, as if spies were lurking nearby. “Anyone could be listening.”
Prager gave Quaritch a knowing glance, complete with a half smirk. It made Spider feel like he was being left out of a joke. “What’s funny?”
“Nothing, kid. Who’s listening?”
Spider glanced around nervously before replying in a hushed voice. “The demons.”
He heard a snort of laughter from somewhere, and looked up to see Wainfleet and Mansk had come back over to see what all the fuss was about.
“Shhh!” he told them irritatedly.
“Yeah, keep your voices down guys. The demons are listening…”
Wainfleet was the most thoughtful, being considerate enough to glance around and check if there were any nearby. "Shit, sorry Spider! Can you tell me what they look like so I can spot them?"
Spider's brow furrowed in confusion. What did the demons look like? It was like something was fogging up his brain, allowing their appearance to escape him. Wait... Demons? Who was he talking about?
"I don't know," he moaned, thoroughly confused.
"Aw, come on Spidey! I wanna know!" Wainfleet jeered.
But Spider's head was coming back to him. He looked at Wainfleet, and so did Quaritch. While Spider's look was of a hazy understanding, the Colonel's eyes flashed with warning. "That's enough, Corporal."
Prager stood up, having packed the equipment away, giving Spider a pat on his good shoulder and carrying his bag over to Fike, the next casualty of the afternoon.
"You still in space?" Quaritch asked, taking out his holopad.
"Huh?" Spider replied. What was Quaritch talking about? He'd never been to space.
"Are you with us yet? Or do you still think that having pink skin is hilarious?" Quaritch was scanning the screen of his tablet, which from behind looked like a satellite map.
Spider groaned. What had he been talking about? The pain in his shoulder was starting to come back to him now, though it wasn't as bad as before. It just felt like it had been over exercised.
Quaritch chuckled. "I'll take that as a yes."
"How long do I have to wear this thing?" Spider asked in disgust, gesturing to the sling. It was constricting and uncomfortable, preventing him from climbing and even running with decent balance. The sooner he could burn it the better.
"Prager said at least for today. But I'll get him to look you over again this evening."
"Right."
"Until then, you're staying with me."
"What-?" Spider said, alarmed, but Quaritch had already pulled him to his feet by his good arm, marching him towards his ikran.
"I clearly can't trust you on the ground. Within ten minutes you almost got yourself killed." He hoisted Spider up in front of him, and was only successful because Spider's senses weren't what they usually were after the anesthetic.
Annoyance burned away the last of the gas and air in Spider's system. "I'm fine," he protested at the indignant manhandling.
"Yeah, yeah. Tell that to the demons."
Spider swore under his breath.

The warm glow of Pandora’s sun basked down on your face, your body pressed against your ilu, one leg hanging off the side of its body as you floated through the water along its back. Your eyes were shut softly as you drifted in and out of your thoughts, you felt truly at peace, nothing but yourself and the crystalline waters that rocked and swayed against you.
Without warning, there was a loud splash, followed by a shower of ocean water raining down on you. You gasped as you shot up from your equally as startled ilu, only to be met with the face of a familiar Metkayina girl. She had one of her hands covering her mouth to stifle her laughter, another hand helping her tread the water to stay afloat.
“Reya, you skxawng!” you hissed, playfully splashing water back at your best friend.
How foolish of you to think you could get a moment's silence.
She laughed at your reaction, which made you giggle with her too, but she quickly beckoned both of you to fall into silence. “You are needed,” she informed you, a playful grin still present on her face.
A low groan escaped you, “no, today is my day off.”
You along with Tsireya were instructors of the Awa’atlu village for the younger children. She was a free-diving instructor, meanwhile you were an ilu riding instructor. The both of you had been inseparable since birth as your fathers were close friends, and both of you had decided at a young age that no matter what you did, you’d do it together.
Tsireya tsked, shaking her head playfully, “sorry, but there has been a change of plans, we have visitors.”
What? That’s when you noticed the presence of four other Na’vi children swimming towards you and Tsireya. They looked to be around your age, but they were definitely not from Awa’atlu, or any of the Metkayina clans at all for that matter.
While you couldn’t tell their exact ages, the one who seemed to be the oldest boy introduced himself first. “Kaltxì,” He said, with a small wave.
You waved back as Tsireya introduced them to you. "This is Neteyam," she said, motioning to the boy who had waved at you, then to the one next to him, "this is Lo'ak," then to the eldest and youngest girls, "and this is Kiri and Tuk”.
“Kaltxì,” you greeted back at them. “You.. are forest Na’vi?” you questioned, noting their darker, more blue skin and their thin arms and tails.
“Yeah, no shit.” Lo’ak scoffed, a too-confident smirk resting on his face.
You rolled your eyes at him, but Neteyam whacked the back of his brother's head before you could make a witty comeback. "Use your manners," he chastised. Kiri rolled her eyes at her brothers before silently apologising to you; you laughed it off and motioned for her not to worry.
Tsireya giggled at the brother’s antics and smiled shyly at Lo’ak, which was much unlike her - usually if one of her own brother’s friends had said something stupid and ignorant like that she’d groan and swim off.
You brushed it off for now, continuing your conversation, “If you are forest Na’vi, why are you here?”
“They seek uturu,” Tsireya informed you, “their father is Toruk Makto.”
Oh, you tried to suppress your surprise at the statement but you couldn’t help yourself. Almost all Na’vi children of your age grew up listening to the stories of Toruk Makto, how he had eradicated the sky people from Pandora all those years ago, leading the Na’vi to great victory.
You snapped yourself out of your thoughts and back into the current moment, you didn’t want to keep these newcomers waiting. “So, you want help learning how to ride ilu?” you asked, sliding off your own gorgeous ilu and running your hands along it’s back.
They all nodded.
“Okay then. Come, we don’t want to waste time.”
The six of you had gathered along the shallow banks of the Awa’atlu village, and somehow in the time between when you had gone to gather some ilu saddles and returned, Kiri had disappeared. The boys had told you not to worry, and that she had only gone off to explore the reef.
A small crowd of Ao’nung’s friends had also seemed to gather around to watch the Sully children ride their first ilu.
You rested the saddles down on a sandy bank, before wading into the water where the ilu were tossing and turning as they played with each other.
“These here are the ilu,” you told them as one swam past and brushed against your leg. “They are playful, but not hard to tame. If you want to live here, you must learn to ride them.”
The same ilu swam back around to greet you, affectionately rubbing its head against you to earn your attention. You gave the ilu a soft pat, before turning back to the Sully children. Lo’ak seemed to already be warming up to one of the more affectionate ilu, and you could tell the young Tuk was eager to get in the water and away from where she was resting on Neteyam’s hip. You had already found yourself becoming fond of the young Omaticaya girl, she was both incredibly endearing and knowledgeable.
“Come, Neteyam,” you beckoned for both him and Tuk to follow you.
You then turned to Lo’ak before saying, "Lo'ak, Tsireya will instruct you." Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted Tsireya trying her hardest to suppress a giddy smile. You weren't oblivious to her rapidly blossoming crush, as much as she probably hoped you were. You had always known Reya to be one to fall fast.
Neteyam set Tuk down next to him before wading through the water after you, following you a bit further away from where Tsireya was with Lo’ak. “I apologise for my brother,” he said, for probably the fifth time already.
“You are very good at apologising,” you teased him, as you called for an ilu. “But please, do not be sorry - you should see what I have to put up with from Ao’nung.”
He let out a breathy laugh as his hand skimmed across the ilu’s skin. Tuk was not far behind him, and when she finally caught up, you helped her sit on a rocky outcrop above the water.
“The ilu are our friends,” you told them, as you fastened a saddle around the ilu, it chirped playfully at your touch, as if it was being tickled. Tuk laughed in delight at the sound.
You reached for Neteyam’s hand, placing it onto the saddle’s harness. “Hold here,” you told him, but before he could even get on the ilu you noticed that Tsireya was already getting Lo’ak to make the bond.
“Wait,” you paused, pointing to where Lo’ak and Tsireya were, “we have to see this.”
You waded back around the ilu until you had a clear view of the group. You watched as Lo’ak took a deep breath, and before another word could be spoken, he was off. You watched his shadow from above the water’s surface, and you could already tell that it wasn’t going to end well for him. Alas, you were right. Mere seconds later, Lo’ak was sent tumbling off his ilu and the bond was broken.
He resurfaced above the water with a gasp, wiping the water out of his eyes with his hands. Ao’nung and his friends break into a fit of laughter at the sight, “he is like a fish out of water! - except he is in the water.”
You rolled your eyes as hard as you could possibly will yourself, you would never understand why so many of the Metkayina girls were obsessed with him. Ao’nung was nothing short of an asshole and his jokes weren’t even funny.
Tsireya chuckled softly as Lo’ak stood up and walked back towards them. Meanwhile, Neteyam did not hold back his loud laugh. “You okay, baby bro?” he called out to his younger brother, hands cupping his mouth like a megaphone to make sure that Lo’ak could hear. Lo’ak didn’t even spare his brother a second glance before he flipped him off, which made you burst out into laughter.
“You two are too mean to each other,” Tuk huffed, crossing her arms as kicked her feet softly in the air.
You turned back to the ilu and shook your head, a warm smile still on your face. “Come Neteyam, it is your turn.”
Neteyam mounted the ilu again, placing one hand on the harness where you had told him to before, as you handed him the ilu’s queue so he could make the bond. “Feel the bond, Neteyam,” you said as he reached behind his back to pull out his braid, “when you are bonded remember you are one being. Feel the ilu’s heartbeat, it’s breathing. Trust it completely.”
The boy nodded his head as he took the ilu’s queue from your hand and attached it to his own. Neteyam seized up a little when the ilu went rigid underneath him. “Relax,” you reminded him, and as he did, so did the ilu.
Lo’ak, Tsireya and Ao’nung’s group of friends were making their way towards you and Neteyam, ready to watch the second brother try his hand at ilu riding.
“Trust the bond,” you reminded him as you swam backwards slowly until you were next to the rocky outcrop where Tuk was sitting. Neteyam nodded once at you, before he took a large breath - and he was off. The ilu dove right into the water, you ducked down so your face was submerged to get a better look. Tsireya, Tuk and the other boys did the same.
You couldn’t believe it. Neteyam seemed to be an absolute natural. While he still looked like he was getting thrown around when the ilu cut sharp corners, he was managing to hang on quite well. When Neteyam broke through the water, you resurfaced along with the others.
“You did it!” you shouted, “that was amazing!”
Neteyam was wearing a million-dollar-smile, clearly very proud of himself, even Tuk was clapping and cheering for him.
“Nice one big bro,” Lo’ak congratulate as Neteyam rode the ilu until he was closer to their group, “you can now add ilu riding to the list of things you are perfect at.”
You snorted, “I was wondering when the witty comment would hit.” and for the first time since you had met him, you saw Lo’ak smile properly, a big wide grin on his face. It suited him.
Neteyam just rolled his eyes playfully. “No need to be jealous, little one.” He mocked, messing up his brother’s hair as he said it.
“Don’t worry Lo’ak, with my help you’ll be an ilu riding prodigy in no time.” You declared proudly, “I think Tsireya should stick to her breathing exercises.”
Your best friend scoffed at your antics, “my way of teaching is just different from yours!”
“Yes, sister,” Ao’nung starts, “and clearly one is better than the other.”
The Metkayina boys started laughing wildly, and it didn’t take much for their laughs to turn contagious. Even Tsireya couldn’t help but chuckle. Okay, maybe sometimes Ao’nung was funny.
Once you had managed to control your own laughter and level your breathing, you were reminded that Tuk still hadn’t had her turn at riding the ilu. “Okay I think it’s Tuk’s turn,” you said, turning to the young Omaticaya girl who now adorned a face of pure excitement.
You bent your knees as you motioned for her to hop on your back, “come Tuk, I want to show you something.” Tuk quickly clambered onto your back, wrapping her arms around your shoulders as you carried her to where the marui pods hung between the large mangrove roots hovered above the ocean. You felt Tsireya’s presence not far behind you, and when you turned to face your friend, you also caught sight of Lo’ak remounting an ilu behind her, accompanied by his brother who was too proud to get off on his own. The two of them dove into the water together, and it occurred to you that they were trying to have a race.
Finally, you reached the bouncy walkways that connected the marui together. You set Tuk down in the water as you reached for a tall rattan basket that was sitting on the walkway. Its width was decorated in intricate wave-like designs. As soon as you took the basket off the walkway and passed it back to Tsireya, two ilu had already come to join you, chirping and clicking joyfully at the familiar scent that wafted from the basket.
Tsireya broke into a smile when a particularly playful ilu tried nudging the basket out of her grip. She clicked her tongue before shaking her head, “not yet.”
You called for Tuk to come closer and join you as Tsireya handed her a small fish from inside the basket. “Give it to the ilu,” you told Tuk. The Omaticaya girl didn’t even hesitate as she dropped the fish in the ilu’s waiting mouth, it snapped up and swallowed the fish quickly. Tuk laughed joyfully, before patting the ilu’s head and cupping its face. “I love her already!” she squealed, making both you and Tsireya smile widely.
“Would you like to ride her?” asked Tsireya.
Tuk nodded her head vigorously, “yes!”
“I think you should leave the ilu instructing to me,” you joked as you helped Tuk onto the ilu. Tsireya scoffed and shoved your shoulder playfully making you smile again for what felt like the thousandth time that day.
Tuk took the ilu’s queue that you passed to her, quickly attaching it to her own. Her excitement was evident on her face as she wasted no time in making the bond. She held on tightly to the ilu’s harness, the same way you had taught Neteyam to. Tuk was observant, you noted.
You and Tsireya both called your ilu quickly, mounting them before the three of you dove into the crystalline waters. Tsireya took the lead as she manoeuvred her ilu through the reef, leading both you and Tuk through underwater archways and forests of coral. You yourself were no stranger to these parts of the ocean, but the wide-eyed awe that you saw on Tuk’s face filled you with warmth. It reminded you of the first time you had ever rode your own ilu with Tsireya, discovering the reef on your own, both of you with eyes sparkling full of wonder.
The three of you swam through a particularly large pod of small fish which dispersed quickly as you shot through not far behind Tsireya. Tuk was starting to catch up as well, and when you turned your head to face her, you noticed another presence alongside her. It was the other Sully daughter - Kiri. She was gracefully riding an ilu next to her younger sister, a gorgeous, genuine smile stretching across her face as she took in their surroundings. You’d never get tired of seeing that face of pure wonder and awe.
It had been a few hours of exploring the reef, practising ilu riding and various breathing exercises. You were utterly exhausted, and you could tell the Sully children were feeling the same thing. Tuk was passed out on Kiri’s lap, Tsireya and you sat side by side next to them as you talked to Neteyam and Lo’ak.
Apparently during the boy’s race, Lo’ak had fallen off another four times. At least that’s what Neteyam had told you - grinning proudly at the fact that he had beaten Lo’ak all those four times. Lo’ak rolled his eyes lazily.
“You might be able to beat Lo’ak,” you told Neteyam, “but you wouldn’t even stand a chance against a Metkayina baby.”
Lo’ak grinned and laughed loudly at your remark, Tsireya joining in with a quiet giggle. Neteyam turned a shade darker at the teasing, shaking his head.
“Don’t worry Lo’ak,” you reassured him, “you’ll be a natural in no time.”
He grinned even wider at what you said.
The sun was starting to set in the sky, casting a dusty purple glow over the water, meaning it would soon be time for the evening meal. It was a custom of your clan to eat your midday and evening meals. It was a time to connect and share stories with one another.
Ao’nung and his friends had disappeared to the communal eating pod a while earlier to ‘help’. But you and Tsireya knew damn well they just wanted to get early seats.
You looked back at the beginning of this day, when all you had planned was to laze around and enjoy your single day off from teaching the Metkayina kids. But now, you were more than glad that you had agreed to help, because although these forest Na’vi were strange - they were also fun. You hadn’t smiled this much or laughed this loud in a very long time, and you think Tsireya would agree.
“We should probably get going,” said Tsireya, breaking away from the conversation she was having with Kiri. “Dinner will be ready soon.”
Neteyam’s stomach growled loudly at the mention of food, “sorry,” he apologised, grinning sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head. Your stomach was starting to ache from mild hunger too, the amount of physical exertion that you had endured today left your entire body feeling more sore than usual.
You pushed yourself off the sandy beach, brushing the sand off your hand.
Kiri tried to wake Tuk up from her nap, but the poor girl was still tired, refusing to get off her sister’s lap. Neteyam - being the perfect big brother he is - lifted Tuk off Kiri’s lap and carried her on his back, her cheek resting on his shoulder as she continued to snore softly in her sleep.
It was hard not to admit how cute they were.
After you helped Kiri up, you turned to where Tsireya should’ve been standing behind you, but she was nowhere to be seen. Your ears perked in confusion until you caught sight of Neteyam pointing ahead, “the love birds are far gone” he said, a teasing lilt to his voice.
Tsireya was already walking across the beach with Lo’ak towards the marui. Both of them were chatting enthusiastically with each other which made you grin widely, a quiet chuckle falling from your lips - you were totally going to tease Tsireya about this later.
“Hey!” Kiri beamed as she nudged your forearm with her own, “I'll race you there!”
You turned to Neteyam who still had Tuk resting peacefully on his back, you didn’t want to leave him alone with her thinking that he’d likely not participate to avoid waking Tuk from her nap. But your thoughts were interrupted quickly as he piped up, a knowing grin on his face. “Don’t go easy on me just because I’m carrying extra weight,” he said, a challenging tone to pair with his confident demeanour, “I could still beat both of you with ease.”
You quirk your eyebrow at him as you stifle your laugh, “okay, fine then. You’re both on!”
Kiri grins widely, and before you can even say “go!” she’s off, laughing wildly as she races across the sandy beach. Shaking your head, you run after her, determined not to let Neteyam come close to beating you.
The cold evening ocean water nipped at your ankles as your feet hit the wet sand. The sound of your laughter echoing through the beach as you sped past Tsireya and Lo’ak - the former giving you a quizzical expression at your antics, and the latter getting shoved forward by Kiri as she ran past him.
“You two are slow,” Kiri voiced dramatically, sounding as if she found them boring.
Lo’ak seemed to have taken her words personally, shoving her back as he skipped forward, “I’m not going to let you win, Kiri!” The Omaticaya boy sped past both of you quickly, and you had to admit. - Lo’ak was fast.
You couldn’t even contain your laughter, the adrenaline coursing through your body from the excitement of having so much fun, but your competitive nature would always get the better of you. There was no way you’d let the Sully children beat you.
“I win!” you beam, looking behind you to see your friends who were panting in exhaustion. Tsireya looked like she was physically unable to walk another step, hands braced on her knees as she sucked in deep breaths.
Kiri had given up on running, and was now jogging slowly as she approached you. Her lips were pulled up in a smile as she rolled her eyes at you playfully. “you cheated,” she declared, which made you just snicker to yourself.
Sure, you might have cheated a little bit to win the race, but who could blame you?  The Omaticaya children were quick on their feet and you weren’t about to let them win on your home turf. And anyways, even if they were fast, their feet were still not used to running swiftly on the sand, and their tails just made it so much easier to throw them off balance.
Lo’ak and Neteyam were also catching up, Lo’ak had a look of betrayal on his face, meanwhile Neteyam couldn’t stop grinning. He still had Tuk resting on his back, but now she looked slightly disgruntled, she had definitely been woken up from all the running.
“I can’t believe you pulled my tail!” Lo’ak bursted, giving you an accusatory look that said I’ll get you back.
You laugh at his tone while Tsireya leads your group further into the dining hall.
“Maybe next time don’t flick it around so much,” you shoot back, poking his upper arm playfully, “it’s as if you were taunting me.”
He only rolls his eyes back at you. Neteyam sets Tuk down, she rubs her eyes in an attempt to wake herself up more, her gaze wanders around the large eating hall. It’s a big open hut, with no walls but a canopy cover. The entire village gathers here to eat together, sharing the stories of their eventful days. The Metkayina use gorgeous plates made of large round shells. Delicate carvings decorate the outside of the shell plates. Tsireya hands one out to each of you as she begins serving the food out. A variety of diversely cooked fish is sitting on large shell platters, accompanied by a variety of Pandoran vegetables that were native to this part of the world. The aroma of the food makes your mouth water.
Once all of you have got your food, you sit together on the large woven mats and start eating your meals.
Your gaze drifts around the eating hall, Ronal and Tonowari - who were basically your second parents - were sitting together, eating with the Sully children's parents. Jake seemed to be making a great effort to get to know both the Olo’eyktan and Tsahik, but Neytiri seemed not as invested, she looked almost bored as she picked at the fish on her plate. Ronal seemed to be mirroring her expressions.
However, your meal with your new friends held a starkly different energy altogether. You joked, and laughed, and told stories of your childhood. Kiri went as far as to tell you and Tsireya of a time when Neteyam and Lo’ak had a very serious prank war that almost resulted in them burning down a tree. When Tsireya tried to question why, all you got out of them was a “don’t ask.”
As the bustle in the eating hall died down, and the stars started to decorate the night sky, you and your new group of friends made your way through the village. Tuk bounced along the walkways as you talked to Kiri. You had grown incredibly fond of her, she was like a sister you never had. Her sense of humour never failed to make you double over in laughter, and she was packed full of knowledge and interesting facts. You admired the fact that she was so open to learning new things.
Her eyes lit up as they looked out in the ocean, a small gasp falling from her lips as she noticed the bioluminescent glow emitting from the reef. Gorgeous purples and blues illuminating the ocean’s surface from below, you smiled too at her pure awe.
“It’s gorgeous isn’t it?” you said.
She smiled, “it’s much more than that.”
You heard the unanimous ‘woah’s’ and ‘wow’s’ from the other Sully kids at the sight, their reactions made you smile even wider.
Teaching these completely unknowing Omaticaya children of your own home, made you fall in love with it all over again. You were reminded of how much you loved your way of life, being surrounded by the ocean and the sand and the salty sea breeze at all times was something you could never give up.
As you waved your new friends farewell, watching them disappear into their marui for the night, you couldn’t help but be excited for what the next few months with them would hold. A part of you was sure that you’d learn just as much from them as they would from you…

♡My Dear, Don’t Ever Disappear | Neteyam S.

❦Tags: Stalker!Neteyam - this man is actually crazy, muder🫢, porn w plot, dubcon/noncon, smutty af, kidnapping, pet names, biting, bondage, knifeplay, he loves you in a insane way. Word Count: 3k +
❦Author’s Note: NO PROOFREADING WE RAWDOG THIS! The voices got to me and I made this. Ooc Neteyam for mf sure but it’s just- ugh. My brain couldn’t stop thinking abt it<3
You woke up groggy, the first time you noticed was a severe ache in the back of your skull. What the hell happened? You opened your eyes to find you were not at home, nor in a hospital, you were in a cold concrete room. It had to be the old lab, a basement you hadn’t found yet. Well, that is unspeakably unsettling, you thought to yourself as your heart picked up its pace.
You winced as you tried to sit up, Your whole body was a dull throb, your arms stiff from their position. It took mere moments before you felt the cool touch of metal against your wrists, you tried to move away, but the sounds of chains clinking together gave away that they were keeping you on the floor. Panic slowly begun settling in the pits of your stomach, a looming sense of dread washing over you.
You were just going to work, walking out of base camp, and then nothing. Nothing at all. Trying to remember made your head pound, you didn't know what day it was, the fucking time, or if you were even in the same village. “Hello?”
Your voice echoed against the walls, the only response being the drip drop of water leaking through the walls, you were underground. That much you could tell. As your eyes adjusted to the dim light you noticed another presence, a figure standing at the door with their arms crossed.
“Boo.”
Your body jolted upwards, the chains pulling you back. You felt your blood go cold. They were tall, so tall you could hardly see all of them. You felt like the breath had been knocked out of your lungs, your mouth was dry and you could only stutter as he stepped forward. “No, no, no, no,” you mumbled to yourself, as he crouched down in front of you.
“Don’t fucking touch me! Somebody help! Help,” you screamed at the top of your lungs, the man didn't seem perturbed at all by your cries. “My Ewya, you’re loud,” he reached up, pulling the sloppily fashioned skull mask from his face. “Neteyam?!” You were baffled. Why was Neteyam here? This wasn’t some sick joke was it?
“Thank god you’re awake,” he sighed, his hand moving to push your hair out of your face. His fingers brushed against the gash on your forehead, causing you to wince. “I thought I hit your pretty little head too hard and put you in a coma.” His fingers trailed down the side of your face, his thumb swiping against your bottom lip, and you couldn't help but recoil. There was something different about him, he wasn't the same Neteyam that was so sweet to you.
“Neteyam what the fuck are you-” you were cut off by his voice, a crazed smile spreading across his face. “Surprise!” He yelled, throwing his hands up, he seemed ecstatic, and you had never felt more terrified. “I really wanted to do this differently, honestly, but it was so hard to get you alone.”
You could only stare, not wanting to say a word, the silence making your throat tighten. Neteyam looked down, his fingers tapping on his knees. You had never seen him like this before, his normal cheery and kind nature completely gone.“I-if Kyle finds out-”
Neteyam’s change in expression cut you off quickly, his eyes changing into something dark, his brow furrowing as his lip curled into a snarl. You swallowed thickly, not sure how to handle him, or the situation. “And what the fuck will a human named Kyle do to me? For Ewya’s sake I do not understand your obsession with this creature. He is weak, frail, short, pale skinned and so stupid.”
For just a moment you had a mere second to think and you were insulted on Kyle’s behalf. Yes, he wasn’t as tall as Neteyam or buff or particularly attractive but he was human. Neteyam huffed, his hand reaching up to pull your face towards him.
You were pulled back into reality as his fingers touched you, you were so pathetically helpless, chained to the ground, and at his mercy. His thumb rubbed along your cheek, and his eyes narrowed on yours. “It’s doesn’t matter now, yawne. I took care of him.”
Your blood ran cold, a sudden fear that he was speaking the truth, It made you want to vomit, a horrible pit forming in your stomach. But the way he said it, like he was proud of his actions, the look in his eyes as he stared down at you, it all made your heart drop. “You’re insane!”
“Only for you,” his smile reached both ears, a look that made the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. Your heart beat wildly in your chest, and your eyes started to water, your brain running a million miles a minute trying to come up with a solution, but nothing came. Neteyam leaned down, placing a kiss against your forehead.
It was… Oddly comforting, unnervingly soft. The way his lips felt against your skin was a stark contrast to his behavior, it was almost loving. “you’re so pretty when you cry, yawne,” his breath was hot on your skin, his voice soft, and it made your skin crawl.
“Fuck you, Neteyam.” You tried to turn away, but his grip tightened on your jaw, keeping you firmly in place, the chains digging into your wrists. You didn't want to look at him, and you certainly didn't want him looking at you. “You’ve read my mind, pretty.” You tried to squirm, and pull away, the chains biting into your skin and cutting into the delicate flesh. Your hands were numb from being locked in place, the muscles tensing and relaxing with the blood circulation.
“I really wish we could have done this in a nicer way… but you are so hardheaded. I was so nice, I did everything in the world to impress you... and not once did you notice me.” Neteyam unsheathed a blade you didn’t realize he was carrying, the metal glistening in the dim light. You felt tears well up in the corners of your eyes, the sight of it alone making your stomach flip, a knot forming deep within you.
The chains rattled as you squirmed, his grip tight on your chin. The metal slid across the delicate flesh of your jaw, it was cold to the touch and sent endless shivers down your spine. Neteyam traced his way down your neck, slowly running down your chest, stopping just before he reached your top. “I’ve dreamt of this for so long… of you, without these ugly human clothes, beneath me, whimpering and crying, of me, inside you... of you saying my name.”
A new feeling began creeping into your thoughts, it wasn't fear or panic, but something else entirely. His words, his voice, everything was too much, and it was beginning to make your head spin. Neteyam moved it slowly, slicing the fabric from the front of your chest, the knife easily cutting through the fabric of your blouse and bra. You didn't notice the cold air hitting the exposed skin, and all you could think of was his dagger as it trailed down your abdomen.
He let out a guttural growl as he stared down at you, his eyes transforming into something more animalistic. “You’re so perfect. I should have killed Kyle sooner…” Your core began to warm, a heat growing deep within your belly as his eyes roamed over your body, a new wave of shame and humiliation washing over you. This was turning you on, which was completely repulsive considering the situation.
Neteyam slid the knife along the inner part of your thigh, the sharp edge scraping against the supple skin, making you gasp. He took his time cutting the fabric, his movements precise, and careful, his gaze focused on the task at hand. Neteyam let out a sort of chuckle, pausing his movements as he gazed up at you, a curious look in his eye. “You like this don’t you?”
The next words came out as a stuttered, incoherent mess of denial. “N-no- you’re c-crazy! I hate you.” His blade sliced the thin string of fabric between your legs, cutting the material with ease. “Don’t lie to me, pet. I can smell you.” You bit your lip, not daring to make eye contact. The blade pressed against the inside of your thighs, dangerously close to your heat, and you felt your legs twitch.
You didn't understand this, the way the knife made your pulse race, the way his fingers danced across your skin made you burn. His hand moved slowly, the blade pressed against your skin, the metal cool against your warmth. You felt the knife drag, and you bit down harder on your lip, trying not to show any sort of reaction, not wanting to give him the satisfaction.
Neteyam moved the knife upward, dragging the metal against your gaped lips, the smoothness of the blade making your core tighten. Your mind was swimming, unable to concentrate, the blade was pressing harder, the sharp point breaking the delicate skin. A drop of blood seeped through, and Neteyam's eyes seemed to glow, his mouth hung open slightly.
Neteyam dropped the blade, the clatter echoing through the small room, his lips reaching out to touch the wound, a small red spot where the knife had been pressed. If there was any blood, it was washed away as his tongue lashed out, cleaning the area with long, slow movements.
Your mouth opened slightly, and a small whine escaped. Neteyam chuckled into your mouth, his hand snaking up your body to grasp at your throat. You couldn't help but moan softly, as his grip tightened around your windpipe, constricting your airways.
“You’re an ass,” you hissed, his hand loosening. You had a feeling the knife had been a trick, the way he had played it up and teased, the way he had made you feel. It wasn't a true threat, and he knew it. “Oh, you don’t want to play nice anymore? He pulled the chains that binged your wrists to the wall, yanking you out of position with a yelp. Neteyam pulled you so your face was mere inches from his, “ I see you, pet. I can be meaner, hm?"
You realized in this moment how his strength truly outmatched yours, his arms easily forcing you onto the ground. You tried to pull away, the cold floor biting at the bare skin of your back. Neteyam leaned down, forcing his mouth onto yours, his tongue slipping past your lips and into your mouth. You couldn't help but let out a muffled groan, the taste of blood lingering on his tongue.
His hands groped at the bare skin of your hips, his touch sending waves of heat throughout your body. He kissed you with an urgency, like he was starving for it, his teeth tugging on your lip. The sensation made a low groan slip past your lips, and his lips curled into a wicked smile. Neteyam’s tongue slipped out of your mouth, moving down your neck, his sharp teeth nibbling at your skin.
You felt your body begin to react, your blood pulsing, your chest heaving with each labored breath. It was disgusting, and humiliating. You were completely under his control, and you could do nothing about it. You could only watch as his hands wandered, as he moved his tongue down the front of your chest, the feeling of his dangling braids tickling your flesh. And for some reason, not even ewya could explain, you were enjoying it.
His lips wrapped around one of your breasts, his hot tongue gliding over the flesh. You threw your head back, moaning softly, his tongue flicking over the sensitive tip, his teeth lightly nibbling at the sensitive skin. Neteyam let out a deep groan, his mouth closing over it. You were so absorbed in what his tongue was doing to you, you failed to notice his hand slipping between your thighs.
You let out a strangled moan, as his long fingers brushed against your dripping folds. Your eyes snapped open, the sensation was so foreign. He slid a finger inside, pumping it slowly, his thumb circling around the sensitive bud. It felt incredible, and you hated that, the pleasure washing over you.
You could hear Neteyam let out a chuckle, the sound vibrating through his lips. "Look how wet you are, pet." He began forcing in another finger, stretching you out and filling you with a burning heat. You felt your eyes roll back, letting out a soft mewl, the sound of him thrusting into you echoed through the room.
"M-more, please," you begged, his fingers moving faster, the feeling overwhelming, making you squirm. "Please, more," you panted, your pussy beginning to clench around his fingers. “Beg louder.” Neteyam's hand gripped tighter around your neck, his fingers forcing themselves deeper, stretching you.
You could feel a coil building up inside, the sensation was too much, and you were so close. “Splease, Sso good,” you slurred. Neteyam proded at the spongy spot inside you, making the coil tighten further, your walls starting to quiver around him. “P-please! Teyam please!”
Neteyam pulled his fingers out suddenly, your orgasm being cut off immediately. You let out a loud whine, a pitiful plea to keep going, his fingers leaving a trail of your own slick as they moved up. Then, he slapped you clean across the face. The sound echoed through the room, and you felt your whole body tense up. The force of the impact was surprising, and it was quickly followed by a painful stinging.
"You thought I was going to let you cum so easily? After the attitude you’ve had all night? No way, brat, I’m going to ruin you first." Neteyam was so calm, his voice so collected, it was almost unnerving. You were stunned, obscenely horny, and mildly terrified of the monster in front of you.
He sat back, admiring his handiwork. You were spread out, bound, and completely nude. Your eyes met his, and a dark laugh bubbled up in his throat. "you should see yourself," he cooed. “You look so pretty all disheveled for me.”
Neteyam leaned forward, his long, deft fingers wrapping around your throat, forcing you up, the chains chafing the delicate skin. His mouth connected with yours, the kiss more heated than the others, his teeth tugging at your bottom lip. You could feel his excitement through his loincloth, the heat radiating off of him, his length straining against the fabric.
The sudden shift in emotions made you dizzy, his touch becoming rough, and violent. Then twisting into slow and sensual, the way his tongue gilded against yours, the way his lips moved expertly against yours, the way his hands moved along your body. "I'm going to mark the fuck out of you so no man ever comes near you again.”
Neteyam grasped at your hips, proving his superior strength by flipping you over with ease. One of his large hands wrapped into your hair, the other pulling your ass up so you could feel him. He was undeniably huge, so thick, and in no way was he going to fit inside you. The sensation alone made you whimper, and it only got worse as he rubbed himself against you.
The sound of him unfastening his cloth, the jingling of his jewelry was enough to make your core tighten. His cock slipped between your folds, the head rubbing against your clit. Neteyam let out a low growl, the feeling of him making you shudder, his hands gripping the back of your neck.
Neteyam forced himself inside of you, the sudden intrusion making you scream out, and tears well up in the corners of your eyes. He was impossibly big, filling you entirely, stretching you. You let out a series of broken moans, as he slid out only to thrust back inside. Neteyam's free hand slid down your spine, his fingers gently caressing your back, before he slapped your ass.
“That’s it, baby. Keep screaming my name just like that.” Neteyam's voice was strained, the words coming out like a hiss. His grip tightened on the base of your neck, holding you firmly in place, while his hips pounded against you. The sounds of his body hitting yours echoed through the room, his cock stretching you with each thrust.
He wasn't going easy, "F-fuck me!” you cried out, as his cock grazed your g-spot. Neteyam dropped his head into the crook of your neck, his teeth leaving an imprint, his hands holding you down, his body flush against you.
The knot began to build once more, and Neteyam picked up his pace, fucking into you with reckless abandon. You moaned and whimpered, unable to stop the obscene noises that fell from your lips. His heavy panting sent chills down your spine.
Neteyam let out a deep, animalistic growl, his nails digging into the soft flesh of your hips, his teeth biting into your shoulder. "You feel so good around me, baby.” His cock throbbed inside you, his tip pounded at your cervix. You felt your pussy clamp around him, the feeling making Neteyam's hips jerk, and you let out a loud, pleasured wail.
You were so close, and the knot in your belly was tightening. “Please can I cum?!” You yelled out. Neteyam pulled himself from the warmth of your body, and you could hear his breathing turn ragged. “No no no, I have to see you.”
You didn't have to wait long, Neteyam flipped you onto your back, and his lips met yours. You felt his cock press against your folds, the head of him pushing past the entrance. His lips attached themselves to the side of your neck, his hands sliding up your chest to wrap around your throat.
Neteyam's hips met yours, his cock pounding inside you, “keep begging, yawne.” His long fingers moved to circle your clit, his thumb rolling the sensitive nub, making your eyes roll back. “Please, Neteyam,” you cried, “sgood, please can I cum!”
"Are you going to be a good little girl from now on?" Neteyam hissed, his fingers moving faster. You nodded, as you let out a low cry, "y-yes! P please, I’ll be good! You were on the verge of tears, your mind clouded. Neteyam let out a guttural groan, his pace picking up but his movements getting progressively sloppy.
Your legs began to shake, the knot was beginning to unravel. Neteyam's cock throbbed inside you, and you knew he was getting close too. "i-im gonna-" His fingers curled around your throat, stopping your sentence. “Cum on this dick like a good pet.”
Your eyes rolled into the back of your head, your body started to convulse, your muscles tensing, and then unraveling. Your orgasm ripped through you, causing you to thrash, and scream. You felt your pussy clench tightly around his length, the euphoria making your mind hazy. Neteyam's body trembled, his cock twitching as he spilled inside you. His seed filled you entirely, warming your belly, and dripping out onto your thighs as he pulled out slowly.
You were spent, too weak to move and too dazed to think straight. Time passed fast, the loss of his body heat lost in your head. You felt him shift beside you, his head dangling over yours as he peppered kisses onto your face. “You’re so pretty all fucked out…” he cooed, his hand gently rubbing your head.
You murmured something in reply, not fully hearing what he was saying. “I’m so happy you’re here with me, yawne.”Neteyam spoke, his voice soft. You heard his voice echo through the room, the words becoming jumbled as sleep overtook you. He continued petting your hair, watching you sleep peacefully. This was nice, harder than he expected, but it was nice.
“And you’re going to be here with me forever…”

HI HI HI. I LOVE NETEYAM. AND I LOVE NETEYAM EATING PUSSY. I ALSO LOVE THE THOUGHT OF NETEYAM EATING PUSSY AS A DESTRESSER. GOODNIGHT.

as future olo'eyktan and current mighty warrior, neteyam had a lot on his plate constantly. he was always doing something or had someone relying on him. sometimes he felt like he didn't have a chance to breathe. his responsibilities were an ebb and flow, having months where his downtime was at a peak, but lately this was not the case. neteyam was all over the place. neteyam had barely spoken to you the past few days, coming into your shared tent late, scarfing down the dinner you set for him and falling asleep just to do it all over again tomorrow. you had begun staying awake until he came home, knowing that he arrived home safely being a comforting thought. you were also staying awake to make sure you could ask about his day and how he was, it was the least you could do as his mate. he always felt guilty when he came home and saw you leaning against the wall trying to stop your eyelids from shutting for more than a blink. he felt as though he was neglecting you, despite you reassuring him that you understood his duties and level of importance in the clan. you loved him unconditionally, and he felt beyond lucky. he couldn't wait for this period of intense training to come to a slow.
today in particular, neteyam was stressed. his neck was sore from how he slept and he was honestly just in a sour mood. all that was on his mind was you. he could hardly focus, which resulted in fingers snapping in front of his face as he shook himself from his looming thoughts. "son- where are you today?" his father tsks, awaiting an explanation. "sorry sir, just feeling a bit off..." he trails off, picking up his bow from its place on the ground. "well shake it off, now" neteyam sighs and balls his hands up into fists, annoyance spreading through his body. he wanted out. today was not his day.
you are sitting on the woven mat in yours and neteyam's tent, mixing together some herbs for a salve when you suddenly heard the rustling of someone outside, neteyam appearing inside just seconds later. "ma'teyam, you're home a bit early" you smile, moving your project to the side and patting the spot beside you. he flops down beside you, slight scowl on his face. "what is it, yawne?" you cup his cheek, staring lovingly into his eyes. "my dad just doesn't fucking get it... i'm so fucking stressed and he just tells me to get over it, like it's that easy" he grumbles, moving to place his head on your soft thighs. you run your hands through his braids, "i'm sorry nete, he isn't being very understanding. you've been working so hard these past few days, possibly even beyond your limit.." you watch as he begins to kiss along your thighs, causing a hum to make its way out of your mouth. he shuffles a bit, adjusting his position in order to be able to reach your inner thighs with his lips. you hum some more, twirling a braid in your finger. "is there anything i can do to help? make you some food or re-braid your hair-" he shakes his head, sitting back up to be face to face.
"honestly... what i need right now is you on my face” his sentence comes out in a slight whimper, almost begging to release his stress onto you through his tongue. you bite your lip, breathing picking up. you kiss him deeply, hands trailing down his arms. he whines into the kiss and moves his hands to your hips, removing your loincloth. you sigh at the feeling of the cool evening air hitting your pussy, pulling away from the kiss. "lie down, yawne" you whisper, smiling at his devoted look. he lies on his back, hands reaching for your hips once his back hits the ground. you straddle his face, pussy hovering over his mouth that is almost drooling with desire. "ready?" you make eye contact with him, seeing lust and desperation cloud his amber eyes. he nods, hands fixed on your ass and pulling you down to meet his mouth. "shit- neteyam" you moan, hands moving to entangle in his braids. he hums satisfied as he finally tastes your sweetness, hands squeezing at your ass. his first move is to your clit, tongue flicking over it to elicit gasps from you. he flicks it some more before sucking it into his mouth, knowing exactly how you like it. your gasps are almost continuous, gentle tugging on his braids also present. he sucks a bit harder, his eyes rolling out of satisfaction. he genuinely loved eating you out, it made him hard within seconds. he pulls it out of his mouth with a pop, looking up to check on you. your mouth is agape, staring back down at him.
“fuck you’re beautiful” he states before diving back in, tongue soaking up your wetness and prodding at your hole. “oh eywa- yesssss..” you whine as his tongue switches between entering your hole and licking all around it, nose nudging your clit which is stimulating it simultaneously. he taps your ass to get you to look down at him. he pulls away slightly, sticking his tongue out. he wants you to ride it. you instantly drop back down on it, grip on his braids increasing as you begin grinding down onto his tongue, clit pulsating with every movement. “oh- you’re so good teyam, you make me feel so good” you praise him, hips moving at a quick pace. he helps guide you along his tongue with his hands that have settled on your ass. your moans get louder, the rhythm of your hips become more sloppy. neteyam knew this meant you were close, so he moved his tongue more frantically and brought one hand to circle your clit. you start to breathe heavier, toes curling as your orgasm begins to rip through you. “oh neteyam!!!” you squeal, body shaking above him as your cum drips onto his tongue. he smiles, licking you up. you slouch once you catch your breath, exhausted from the amazing head and orgasm.
he helps lift your legs off of his head and he sits behind you, pulling you in to lean against him. you immediately relax from the warmth of his chest, grabbing his arms and wrapping them around you. "how was it, ma'y/n?" he kisses your cheek and rests his chin on your shoulder. "amazing, as it always is" you giggle, "do you feel better, yawne? bit more relaxed?" he nods and nuzzles into your neck. "definitely better, can't wait for a break. i miss my mate" you bring his large hands to your lips and kiss them softly, basking in this moment that has been awaited for days.

You stared at your reflection in the clear blue pond, and you hated what you saw. The small eyes, the hair on your eyebrow bone, the five fingers. The familiar pang of hatred filled your chest and spread all over your body like a forest fire, burning you. You hated the Sky people's features your Avatar body had. You hated how you looked so different from your clan, your people.
“Bro, you coming? Or are you too obsessed with yourself?” Lo’ak jokes from his place on a tree branch and Neyetam laughs at it. Right now you're tracking your Sa’nok for hunting practice with your Sempu and tsumkans.
“Hey,” Jake scolds them, “stop messing around and get over here.” He continues further into the forest, light on his feet and not leaving a trail.
“You heard the sergeant. Let’s go.” Lo’ak says mockingly and follows their Sempu’s path with Neteyam.
So you do what you do best and pretend that these feelings do not exist. Like they don’t keep you up at night or creep into your mind when you're at peace. You pretend to be okay. You pick up your bow and arrows and slowly walk into the forest.
By now, there are not any signs of your family but you see the slight messing up of rocks that weren’t there earlier. Even though you’re supposed to be tracking, you can’t help but marvel at the beauty of Pandora’s rainforest. The big lush green plants and canopy of towering trees surrounded them, the animals scurrying around them.
According to your birth parents, scientists turned warriors, back on Earth, tight spaces and skyscrapers were all that there was and most rainforests were either man-made or photos. Your parents…you missed them a lot. Every time you crossed a milestone, your mind wanders to them. What it would’ve been like, should've been like.
You heard something, instantly snapping you out of your thoughts. Muscle memory makes you grab your bow and arrow, and silences your heart to better your hearing. You hear the crunching and rustling of leaves from two different directions.
You slowly walk to a vantage spot where you can see both of the animals. Or ambushers. You ready your bow and take aim at the spot. You speak with a clear and loud voice, “Whoever you are here, come out right now.” In case it wasn’t an animal.
You waited but silence greeted you, and it stretches to the point where you wondered if you was imagining it from being on edge. But the sound of soft snickers hit your ears and you tried to not growl in annoyance. It wasn’t the deep voice of your Sempu nor the soft one of your Sa’nok.
“Lo’ak, I know that it is you,” you grumble and put your arrows back into the satchel. Lo and behold your tsumkan pop out from the bushes along with your Sempu, surprisingly.
You tilt your head to the side in confusion, “I expected this from Lo’ak, but you Sempu?”
Your Sempu gives you a teasing smirk and shrugs, “Made for a good test on your reflects.” He comes closer and put his warm hands on your shoulders. “You passed, good job ma ‘itan. Now let’s go back, your Sa’nok and Neteyam are already there.”
You walk back to High Camp. It was more a fortress than a village since the Sky people came back with their war and destruction. Led to a massive forest fire, many older Na’vi said it was reminiscent of the destruction of Hometree. That’s when the side eyes and comments began.
“It was totally so he can sneak up on you, dude. Shoulda saw the pout he had when you called our buff.” Lo’ak informs you, slinging an arm on your shoulder as the both of you stroll back to camp.
The walk was mostly silent, each lost in their own world. But you could feel something was off with your tsmukan. He kept biting his lips and not so sneaky glancing his way before hastily avoiding eye contact whenever your eyes met.
Fed up with this, you abruptly stopped the walk and asked, “Okay, what’s with the looks you keep giving me?”
“The better question, is what’s with you?” He asked accusingly with his arms crossed around his torso. If your heart wasn’t thundering inside of your chest from nervousness, you would’ve commented on how much he resembles your Sempu.
“With me? Lo-” You tried to deflect but Lo’ak wasn’t fooled.
“Don't give me that bullshit, dude. It may work with our parents but not with me.” He pressed on, backing you into a corner, literally and metaphorically.
“I’m fine, okay. Just drop it, you won’t understand,” you say in irritation, fed up with your tsmukan usual pesky persistence.
Maybe Lo’ak would understand. The accusing stares whenever they walked around the camp. People became bolder when you weren't with your parents about their distaste for your existence. But maybe at the same time, he wouldn't.
He was Na’vi, more than you ever would be, and his hairy eyebrows and five fingers will never take that away. No one can ever take that away. With you it was different, you was like Jake, an Avatar, a sky person, a demon. And unlike Jake, you did not prove yourself worthy of being there, your parents did.
You were allowed to stay because your parents, brilliant and brave scientists, gave their lives to protect the Na’vi. And Jake is the Toruk Makto, they can’t deny him.
But they can deny you.
“Dude, hello?” Lo’ak shakes you out of your thoughts. “You’ve been really in your head lately. So something must be wrong. C’mon, you can talk to me.”
“Please, Lo’ak, just drop it.” You hang your head in shame.
How can you be a good chief if you can’t even reassure your own little tsumkan? Bet Neteyam never has to do that.
Thankfully, Lo’ak does drop his questions and you make it back to dinner just in time. Sa’nok and Sempu were setting the plates on the table while Tuk was talking Kiri’s ears off again.
“That was a long walk,” Kiri notes, looking them up and down with suspicion in her eyes.
“At least they are back before Eclipse. Sa’nok and Sempu would’ve had you guys’ heads”, Neteyam jokes.
“Yea,” Tuk, ever the annoying little sister peers up at the two, “what were you two doing?”
You made note of your parents' ears tilting in their direction, yet they made no move to ask either of their sons. He had to be careful in his answer.
“Why are you guys so nosy?! It’s bad enough we gotta share a room,” Lo’ak huffs in bitterness. Made sense, he was a frequent victim of Tuk’s “jumping on you for my enjoyment” attacks.
Sitting down next to your Sempu, you answer, “We were just talking about guy stuff.”
Instantly, Kiri and Tuk became disinterested and began eating their food. Neteyam was only half-listening to the conversation. Too hungry to care or tease his tsmukes. This however got the attention of your parents though.
“What exactly was said?” Jake presses on, a glimmer of mirth in his eyes. You could see a slight smirk forming on Netyiri’s face as she chewed her food.
“Sempu,” you looked tiredly at him after realizing that this was just a joke for their suffering. Sometimes parents can be so cruel.
After dinner, you headed out to practice your aim some more. It wasn’t really practiced but more of a way to keep your mind from wandering to those thoughts. Those ugly thoughts drowned you and took away your air.
“Are you going out again?” Your Sa’nok questioned looking at your bow and arrows in hand. When you nod, she shakes her head and tsk. “You have been practicing too much lately. Go take a break, now.”
“But Sa’nok-”
“No.” She takes the weapons from your hands. “You can go out on your ikran but no training.”
“Oh, you’re going out,” Lo’ak comes out, looking suspicious. Almost like this was planned. “Mind if I go with?”
This was clearly a setup with Lo’ak’s terrible acting. Despite this, you nod and mount your ikran.
You remembered when you made the bond with (ikran/name), there were many times when you felt like you would die. But you made the bond and took off with your ikran. For a whole month, your Sempu bragged about how his amazing son broke his record. The Toruk Matko’s record.
The memory warmed your but immediately grew cold. You can’t help but recount some of the looks of the older Na’vi. They did not look proud or delighted, more like with irritation and disbelief. The same Na’vi, however, wore a look of pride when Neteyam got his ikran. When Sempu bragged about Neteyam.
It was then you saw the differences in how you, Kiri, and Lo’ak were treated when compared to Neteyam and Tuk. And it was clear as day as to why.
“Rioe is such a bitch,” Lo’ak groaned. He flew his ikran closer to mine and gestured widely with his hands.
Your brother goes on to vibrantly describe what Rioe Te Rewui Rärä'ite said to him and how they got into their daily arguments. This Rioe girl has been bothering Kiri for a while about her non-Na’vi features and then when Kiri, in true Kiri fashion, didn’t give her the satisfaction, Rioe turned her eyes on Lo’ak. Who would gladly return the fire, with zero hesitation.
You give your tsmukan the same advice you’ve always given him. Go tell your parents to clear this whole thing up. But like always he refuses the advice with pride. So much like Sempu would’ve done.
“Really? You're not gonna ask for help because of your pride? Talk about shallow.”
Lo’ak gives you a side-eye that can rival Neteyam’s. “You're a real hypocrite. I hope you know that.” He flew his ikran higher into the sky with annoyance. The sky was cool against your face and the stars were beautiful tonight. Clouds were sparse.
You guide your ikran to follow after him, so close that the creatures nearly touch and give soft growls in response. Clearly sensing the growing irritation of both their owners. “We are talking about you, not me.”
“Well, maybe we should talk about you. You seem...to be y’know,” he falters a bit and doesn’t finish his sentence. Clearly at loss on how to say whatever he wants to.
You both fall into an uncomfortable silence that doesn’t often happen with you guys. Mostly because there was never silence, always talking or laughing, frequently both.
Lo’ak was the first to break the silence, his voice soft but verging on breaking, “We used to tell each other everything. And now, you tell me nothing.”
You sit with that information. Replaying it in your head, latching on to each word, and dissecting it. He was right. You don’t tell him much or anything anymore. You didn’t even notice it, you can’t even pinpoint when you stopped telling him.
And like a coward, you couldn’t even raise your head to tell him you were sorry for it.
“Lots has been on my mind, Lo’. I am sorry though,” you deflect instead. “Eywa, the sky is-“
“Don’t”, his voice is low and agitated. “You are suffering. And you won’t let anyone in. Why?” He demanded of you.
“This…this is just different, Lo’ak. I don’t know, but it feels different, and I don’t think you’ll get it.” You said all of this without even the courtesy of looking into his eyes.
You heard him scoff at your flimsy excuse and heard the flapping of wings. You looked up to see his figure getting smaller and smaller as he headed back home.
You slowly exhaled and inhaled to calm your nerves. You knew that this was a setup to get you to talk, and you knew that it would end badly. But you didn’t think it’ll end this badly. When it comes to Lo’ak, if he walks, or flies away in this case, you and he are not on speaking terms. Just what you needed.
The tension between you and Lo’ak was present even though you tried your hardest to be normal about it. But it was hard to when he would stubbornly refuse to interact with you, for even the smallest of things.
Like you would ask him to pass your knife and he’d tell Tuk to do it and leave. It was rather aggravating but two can play this game.
“Okay, so now you take the knife and slice it through here, slowly, Lo’ak,” Sa’nok instructed.
Right now, Neytiri was teaching them to cut the meat they just caught from their hunt. The game was in the middle and all of us were in a circle surrounding it.
Lo’ak was cutting into the side of a Yerik, and he was obviously struggling. The cut wasn’t clean straight down, instead, there were jagged lines from his continuous stopping and starting. It was a sad sight to see, honestly.
“Oh, Eywa, how could he be this bad?” Kiri whispered to you, causing you to snicker. He really was horrendous at it.
“Come hold this done for your tsmukan,” Sa’nok ordered you. From the way her eyes were fixated on yours, this was something you could not refuse.
So you got up and slowly walked towards Lo’ak. His displeasure with what was happening was evident in the way his jaw tensed and the increased gripe on the hunting knife. But he didn't verbalize it, fearing the wrath of Neytiri.
You both worked together, you holding down the animal and Lo’ak cutting it. The silence was uneasy and made the time drag slowly like a snail.
“Y’know, if you would just tell me-” Lo’ak began to whisper. You cut him off with a deadly look, you were tired of having this same endless conversation with him.
“No, and acting like a child because I won’t tell you will not get me to tell you.” You growled at him.
He huffed and kept quiet after that. You caught Sa’nok looking at you both in the corner of your eye, and you had no doubt that she saw and heard that entire exchange. Just great, another person on your case.
After the lesson, Sa’nok pulled you both aside for a “chat”. There you sat in front of her, it was terrifying, I mean who wouldn’t be terrified at being stared down by their Sa’nok? But this was Neytiri we were talking about here. A fierce warrior in her own right and the dead silence with prolonged eye contact made you unnerved.
“Well?” She asked, leaning against a tree. We were a far way from our home, in the jungle. Little creatures ran across the ground and the wind flowing provided some breeze to cool you down. Unfortunately, it couldn’t calm your heart. You felt trapped, and it’s funny because all of the walls you built to keep your family out are coming down. And you feel trapped because of it. Isn’t that ironic?
“We just had a disagreement, Sa’nu,” Lo’ak lied through his teeth easily. Maintained eye contact and didn’t think too hard about his answer, but that wouldn’t fool Neytiri.
“Try again, Lo’ak,” she replied, “and try to not lie to me this time. You two are close and now suddenly, you treat each other like strangers. Something is wrong and you refuse to talk about it. So talk, now.” She got up from her spot and climbed the tree with expertise. She went up far so that she wouldn’t us but not too far so she could see if we tried to run.
“Have I done something wrong?” Lo’ak asked. It was..it was unlike his previous questions, full of accusations of mistrust. “We used to go to each other for anything, everything. And now you shut me out. You shut everyone out, (Y/N).”
“But, Lo’ak you wouldn’t get it…”, you protest weakly, you don’t even believe the words coming out of your mouth. At least you don’t fully believe them, you just say them hoping they’ll work. They never do.
He scoffs at this and narrows his eyes at you, “You keep saying that. I won’t understand this, I won’t understand that. But you never tell me what I’m not understanding so just tell me. Tell me so I can understand and help you, tsumkan.”
“You can’t, Lo’ak! You can’t help me with this, no one can help me with this but myself. It’s like you said, ‘If go to our parents then what does say about me?’ And I know what your gonna say, hypocrite, and your right I am one. But this issue...it’s…it’s more than just bullying or alienating. It’s different, and I don’t think anyone can fix it but me. Besides, how can I lead our people if I cannot handle this on my own?” You argued against him, frustration swells into your chest. This argument is going nowhere at all.
“Gah, you skxawng! Why do you act like being the Olo’eyktan means that you would be alone with all of the clan duties on your back! Sempu gets a lot of help, he’s never alone. So why do you assume you would be? That makes no freaking sense and we both know it!” He screams at you, becoming louder and louder with every word.
You didn't realize either of you weas moving until your back came against the tree. Just great, you were trapped yet again.
Lo’ak’s face crumbles and the anger he exhibited earlier is gone. “I just want to help my tsmukan, that is all I want to do. I see that you are hurting, and it might not be exactly the same way, but the reason is the same, right? Because we are not full Na’vi.” He chuckles dryly looking at his hands, his five-finger hands. “Because we are part Demon, right?”
Your head hangs low in shame, “Yea, it is. But like I said, Lo’ak, I got this. You don't gotta worry, okay.”
But despite the smile you plastered onto your face, you didn't believe a word you said. And honestly, you got the feeling neither did Lo’ak.

You had been interested in makeup since you were little. Your mother, who was one of the scientists left on Pandora, she still did her makeup. Some women stopped doing it, but your mom didn't stop, she continued to do her makeup, thanks to her, you had been wanting to do makeup for ages. But due to your age, you weren't allowed to. One day that she had been out collecting samples in her avatar, you decided to use some of her make up.
You got into her foundation, eyeshadow, highlighter, lipstick, etc. When she got back and found you covered in her makeup, she nearly fainted, you got scolded and she gave you an ass whoopen. Since then you didn't dare to use her makeup again. She didn't do it to be mean, she just wanted you to learn that taking other people's things isn't good, specially when told not to touch them.
Years went on, and finally your mom allowed you to use make up. You had no idea on what to do but your mother taught you a few steps on how to apply on makeup. When you got the hang of it, you took over since then. You had began to master your makeup skills, you loved learning new skills along with new ways to do your make up.
Then that was when you began to get pimples, you thought you had got sick, but your mother told you that it was part of puberty. She then introduced you to skin care, from creams to cleansers and so on. You had grown a love for skincare just like you did makeup.
Since the stuff left behind were only enough for some, good thing with your mother's knowledge in plants of Pandora, she began to teach you how to make your own makeup and skincare with natural ingredients. Not only that but Spider began to bring you paint made from the Omaticaya for you, he thought that you might have an interest on these since it was technically makeup to the Na'vi.
As the time passed, you still did your makeup and skincare, you never missed a day in washing and cleaning your face. Even if you did a simple cat eye or just added some highlighter on your face and body, you've never miss out.
Tumblr media
That morning you were in the Marui, in your little corner doing your thing. After you washed your face, you began to do your makeup. You were doing something simple since you didn't feel like adding some foundation or anything heavy, that day was hot and sunny, sure you can put sunscreen, you just didn't feel like doing all that.
You were busy filling in your eyebrows, that you didn't notice your friends peaking outside the marui. Once you placed the pencil down in your cosmetic bag, that was when you saw them which startled you a bit. "Ay! What the hell are you guys doing?!" you asked. Seen that both the forest and reef kids were now stepping in the marui. "Nothing, we were just watching you" Lo'ak said with out thinking, earning a light smack from Kiri.
"Sorry to bother you, but what are you doing?" Tsireya asked, sitting down next to while, followed by the rest of the kids. "My make up" you told her, earning a confused look from her. "Makeup?" she asked again, now Lo'ak had got a hold of your makeup pouch and looked through it, along with Ao'nung and Roxto.
"Well, humans use makeup to make themselves look prettier then they already are." You explained, Ao'nung had got a hold of a little tub with green substances inside of it. "What does this do?" he asked. "That's corrector primer, it helps hide the redness on the skin caused by acne." You explained. Roxto had been sniffing your glittered lip gloss that he had opened and examined the little wand. "This smells sweet, what is it?" he asked this time. "That's lip gloss, it makes your lips shine, it also help if you have chapped lips in the winter" you explain.
Tuk was busy examining your lose highlighter, she really liked how shiny it was. "What about this?" she asked, slowly opening the container. "That's highlighter, it makes your skin shine, and make your makeup look better." You explained, seen her now running her fingers on the shiny powder and placed them on the blue skin of her arm.
"How about this?" Lo'ak asked, holding up the container with lose setting powder. "That's setting powder, it helps my foundation not melting to much." You said, next thing you know Lo'ak had sneezed into the powder, causing it to go everywhere. Him, Neteyam, Ao'nung and Roxto were now covered in white powder.
You along with Tsireya, Kiri and Tuk giggled at their surprised expressions. Neteyam then took the makeup from Lo'ak hand, safely closing the lid and placing it back on your pouch, followed by Ao'nung and Roxto who also decided to put your things back.
"Here" you got your small pack of wipes and handed it to them so they could get the powder off. Kiri had come across another one of your pouches. "What does this one have?" she asked, you looked over seen what she was talking about. She was referring to the one that had your skin care. "That's where I keep my skincare" you said, taking the pouch onto your lap. "What's that?" Tsireya asked again, she was paying very close attention on the information that you were giving them.
"Skincare is basically taking care of your skin, it also prevents acne from getting worse and stuff. Lucky for you guys, you don't get acne like us humans." You said, letting her take your pouch and dig inside to look in your products. She was looking at your stuff, reading the labels and smelling them for some reason, but you didn't question her on why she was smelling them. She looked cute.
Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw how Lo'ak was now looking at your mascara, he had it out of the container, holding the little brush out. "What does this do?" he asked while continuing to look at it. "That's mascara, it helps make your lashes bigger" you said, then he had the bright idea to bring the little brush to his eye, but he poked himself in the eye causing him to drop the brush and close his eye in pain. "Shit!" he wined, this made Ao'nung and Neteyam laugh at him.
"Bro! It's not funny!" he screamed in pain while holding his eye. Kiri looked disappointed and shook her head by her brother's foolishness. Tuk tried to have a look at his eyes to see the damage. Meanwhile both Roxto and Tsireya tried not to laugh, but they ended up giggling. "You'll be fine" you said, now giggling.
"En verdad que estas menso" You really are stupid you said. Lo'ak then looked at you with a makeshift glare, while having his injured eye closed. "What did you say?" he demanded, but you didn't respond. "Tell me what you said, not everyone can speak Spanish." he whined, then Tsireya chimed in "what's Spanish?"
