“JJ got nominated,” Scout says. “So it’s not even a Cut vs. Figure Eight kind of thing.” 

Jo scuffs her shoe on the linoleum tile of the hallway. “He didn’t even get his team to the championship game,” she mutters. 

Kiara hardly hears her. She’s too busy being deafened by the blood rushing in her ears. 

JJ Maybank is nominated to Prom Court. Of course he is, of course Kiara’s luck is running drier than the fucking Sahara. 

Back before Sarah Cameron had entered her life like a fucking wrecking ball, Kiara’s closest friends had been a group of boys she had met in fifth grade. She was friends with Jo, Scout, and their other friends as well, but her closest confidantes and her partners in crime were JJ, John B, and Pope. They acted like a little gang, the four of them – they even had a name for themselves. The Pogues, like the fish that get thrown out of the boat cause they’re too small.

Okay, so this an AU of actually been working on for a while, but I’ve always kept within Discord… until now

To keep things simple, Yang is Whitty & Blake is Carol (and Ruby is the BF)… and I have actually thought this through, because it makes sense when you think about it. Yang & Whitty are both Big Strong Hothead Characters who are associated with Explosions/Bombs, and Blake & Carol are both very caring & kindhearted (and both have their fair share of "secrets")

Gracetopher week 2023, Day 4: AU

I've had this idea while I was doing my annual rewatch on the 4th of May (and some of you already understood where I'm going with it) and I thought about this plot that I'm too lazy to write, so if you want feel free to take it and write it yourself :D

It's a Star Wars AU where Grace is a former Sith who left the order because at some point she understood that her master, Tatiana, was crazy and abusive and she never really liked that life, so she left and threw away the red lightsaber. She starts travelling alone in the galaxy until she meets Christopher, who travels solo to pursue his research about life and technology in other planets. They start travelling together both because Grace is interested in his research and both because she is worried that he may be attacked by bounty hunters/criminals/Siths. So they bond over their travel and their research until Grace opens up and tells him about her past, Kit doesn't judge her and tells her that it's never too late to change the course of her life, and that she could use her skills with the Force and the lightsaber to serve the Light. He reveals that he has some contruction diagrams for the lightsabers (I hadn't thought about how, but I like the idea that Anna is a Jedi and somehow she could pass him the classified information because I'm a softie for the Lightwood siblings supporting each other--maybe Kit could also let slip that Anna isn't a very devoted Jedi because she has a relationship with another Jedi, Ari) and proposes to build Grace a new one. She's hesitant at first, then she accepts and when he's building it, he asks her which colour she wants her Kyber crystal (the one that gives the colour of the lightsaber, for the ones who are not as crazy as me about this saga). Grace looks at him in the eye and says "Violet".

Congratulations if you went through all my delirium, I hope someone pitches this because I have no intention of writing it myself ;)

Happy Jiara Week @jiaraweek - Day 4: AU

I Can See You

Kiara accidentally left her panties behind after engaging in some after-hours fun with JJ. The problem is he’s her boss and nobody knows about them so extraction is going to take a military-style mission - and Cleo.

“I’m sorry you did what now?” Cleo shouted, alerting the majority of their colleagues to this rather awkward conversation. Kiara didn’t reply, just grabbed her by the arm and dragged her to the copy room. “No need to manhandle me, Carrera.”

“And no need to bring everyone’s attention to my current predicament,” Kiara hissed, checking no one was listening.

“Current predicament? You lost your panties. If it’s any consolation, there’s no need to call 911 and file a missing person’s report just yet.”

“You’re just upset I didn’t tell you.”

“I’m upset,” she growled. “Because I envisaged our morning drinking coffee and flirting with the cute barista downstairs. I wasn’t expecting my supposed best friend to tell me she was getting busy and losing underwear in the process.”

Kiara and Cleo were both fourth-year MBA students and interns at Heyward, Maybank, and Routledge Sports in New York City. It was an adventure sports company that had started off as a small-town business before its early success saw it expanding nationally throughout North America and then into Canada. Its next foray into South America was imminent. 

They’d met during orientation, finding common ground given they were both assigned to senior executives at the company. Their friendship was sealed that very moment but flourished over time especially when they decided to move in together to save costs given their less-than-stellar intern pay.

“You’re annoyed I didn’t tell you.”

“Of course I am,” she confessed. “Is it Aiden the water guy? Cause he’s hot, I’d probably lose my panties for him.”

“Can we please focus on the fact I desperately need to retrieve my underwear from a precarious position?” 

“It better not be Mike from IT because I’ve heard he has some pretty twisted sci-fi fetishes and….”

“You’re doing that out-of-body thing,” she muttered, interrupting her ramble. “My underwear is in the COO’s office, alright?”

“You’re kidding right?” She replied, her hands finding the copier for balance.

“I wish I wasn’t,” she murmured. “I didn’t mean to, it just happened.”

“In the COO’s office,” she repeated. “Blondie McHottie’s office.”
