Best adaptation I've heard.. screen or novel or graphic novel

It's so good

It's not like the having the book read to you

it's a dramatisation, more like listening to a film without seeing the visuals

We'll see if this lasts but presently

...my only complaint currently, some of the voice actors are American, or sound like faked Brit accents when 1984 is set in Air Strip One, aka, London..

By the way, I'd heard of the Stanford Savoyards' production of Patience with the rival aesthetic schools as rival fandoms (Who and Trek), but I hadn't got a good look at the chorus of fangirls' costumes before:

Now going through the whole Rivers of London series again, but with the unabridged German audible version that has a full cast of actors, music, sounds and all. It's like... a full, well-produced radio play for every book. And the acting is incredibly good.

Also gems like actually hearing Seawoll yell in the background as Lesley and Peter are speaking on the phone in RoL. Or hearing Molly hiss at Peter. Or the melancholy music playing as Nightingale talks about the past. And Peter's dad's piano playing as Peter visits his parents at the beginning of MoS. (Moon over Soho is especially great cause they took care to be accurate with the music.) Or all the giggling going on because the conversations are in audio play format and I suspect they translated all the smiles into giggles. XD

Anyway, that whole production is amazing. Definitely recommend for the fellow German speakers out there, especially if you read them in English usually! It's worth a listen.
