Okay Judean Beauty Contest time 🤣 which of the disciples as portrayed in the Chosen TV show do you find most attractive?
If you don't watch the show feel free to look at the pics below and give your vote.
And we're talking in show here because some of them are more attractive out of character (George Xanthis is much cuter than John imo) and some of them are cuter in character (Z is much more handsome than Alaa Safi sorry)

*yes I realize Yoshi Barrigas no longer plays Philip but he's the Philip we've had the most of on screen kinda like Abe's Big James so that's who I'm going with

A new behind-the-scenes video gives fans a look at the upcoming fifth season of THE CHOSEN.
The video shows THE CHOSEN’s cast and crew during a rare six-day workweek as they film a large scene with all 12 disciples.
“In this show, we’ve got a lot more to keep track of than the average show,” THE CHOSEN’s creator, Dallas Jenkins, explained.
Austin Reed Alleman, who plays Nathaniel, said he enjoyed the scene — “Everyone has different perspectives, and I kind of love it…that’s what makes great writing and great drama and makes people want to follow these characters.”
While the disciples’ actors worked together on their scene, THE CHOSEN’s leading ladies — Elizabeth Tabish, Amy Bailey and Amber Shana Williams — were also enjoying their time together.
“For me, it feels like every scene is better and more intense and sort of overwhelming,” Tabish said.
Williams added, “I got to spend a lot of time with the girls this season. We get to see them interact a bit more, which we never got to see, and that felt nice because we keep each other laughing.”
THE CHOSEN’s fifth season will explore the prophecy that foretold Jesus’ presence on earth.
“There is a prophecy about the messiah. There’s a prophecy about specifically a colt, and so Jesus is making a statement by riding in on a donkey, He’s making an obvious statement of who He is,” Jenkins told Variety. “He is a fulfillment of a prophecy and for Jews at that time as you saw when Simon Zee [Alaa Safi] and Matthew go to get the donkey and they reference that scripture, and the guy’s like, ‘Oh, I get it. OK, this is for the Lord.’”
Jenkins continued, “And in fact, in the Season 5 premiere — I’ll just give you a little minor spoiler — but religious leaders confront Jesus as He’s about to enter the city, and they say: ‘Please don’t do this. It’s going to cause a lot of division, and it’s going to cause the Sanhedrin to act out against you.’ They’re like, ‘We know what you’re doing. By riding in on a donkey, referencing the prophecy, it couldn’t be more clear what you’re trying to say.’”
Reza Diako, who plays Philip, recently talked to Collider about his character’s journey as the show moves into Season 5.
“Season 5 was so different,” he explained. “Season 4, for me, is Philip being confronted with his old traumas. He’s kind of been in pursuit of a father figure in John the Baptist, so the death of the father has been a bit difficult. But in Season 5, he’s like, ‘Oh, okay. So I dealt with that pain, and now it’s time to celebrate this divine father when we arrive into the city.’”

The Chosen: Nathaniel [INTJ 3w4]
Function Order: Ni-Te-Fi-Se Nathaniel has been dreaming about the kinds of buildings he intended to build from childhood, and has a portfolio full of glorious ideas—many of which are untried and untested and that others warn him may not be practical; he ignores them and continues with the building process anyway. When he fails in a spectacular, humiliating fashion (he wasn’t as good as he…

The Chosen CHARACTERS And Cast List Season 1 & 2
Tumblr media
I admit it, I've been turning my nose up at the Christian series The Chosen for over a year. And now, I confess, I'm hooked and I #bingeJesus1 regularly. I thought it would be a neat little series with a nice Christian moral, but no. The cast is incredible, the actors excellent. Jesus (Jonathan Roumi) is believable, endearing, profound: he laughs, he dances, he makes jokes, he is unpredictable and never says what tomorrow will be like (a running gag in the series), he calls to order his overprotective and proud disciples who don't understand anything and bicker all the time, he runs into his mother's arms, he plays with children, and whoever lets himself be looked at by him is pierced to the very depths of his entrails. Here Are The Chosen Characters & Cast List Appeared in Season 1 & 2 Who Are The Chosen Main Characters ? - Jonathan Roumie as Jesus: a craftsman from Nazareth and the son of Mary and Joseph, who is the awaited Messiah and the Son of God.- Shayan Fazli as child Jesus (season 1, episode 5) - Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter: a former fisherman in Capernaum, one of the sons of Jonah, the brother of Andrew, the husband of Eden, the son-in-law of Dasha, a former fishing partner of Zebedee and his sons, and one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. - Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene: a redeemed woman from Magdala and one of the women helping Jesus' ministry.- Camila Carreon portrays Mary Magdalene as child (season 1, Episode 1) - Paras Patel as Matthew: a former publican or tax collector in Capernaum, the son of Alphaeus, and one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. - Noah James as Andrew: a former fisherman in Capernaum, one of the sons of Jonah, the brother of Simon Peter, a former disciple of John the Baptizer, a friend of Philip in his hometown Bethsaida, a former fishing partner of Zebedee and his sons, and one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. - George Xanthis as John: a former fisherman in Capernaum, one of the sons of Zebedee and Salome, the younger brother of Big James, a former fishing partner of Simon and Andrew, and one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. - Abe Martell as Big James (season 2): a former fisherman in Capernaum, one of the sons of Zebedee and Salome, the older brother of John, a former fishing partner of Simon and Andrew, and one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. Martell is the second actor to portray Big James.- Kian Kavousi portrays Big James in Season 1, Episodes 5-8: Kavousi was the second actor to portray Big James. - Shayan Sobhian portrays Big James (season 1, episodes 1 - 4). Dallas Jenkins, the writer, creator and director of THE CHOSEN, enlisted fans to help film a scene for Season 5 as he continues to push the boundaries of the Bible-based series and bring viewers the best experience possible.
Jenkins needed many extras to film the scene when Jesus makes his entry into Jerusalem on the first day of Holy Week.
“Palm Sunday will never be the same for any of us. This is one of the most beautiful moments of my life,” he said in a recap video on YouTube.
600 fans joined the cast and crew for three weeks to film the scene.
“Walking into Jerusalem was so much grander than I envisioned,” Elizabeth Tabish, who plays Mary Magdalene, said.
Austin Reed Alleman, who plays Nathaniel, added, “The fans are so excited to be here. They are so specific with where they’re standing, what they’re saying, everything like that. It’s been wonderful. It’s the best way to spend the first week.”
Fans from all over the world traveled to be part of the special moment.
“The very first episode touched my heart,” a fan who came for the scene described. “It was a time in my life where I was thinking that maybe I’m not that important to God, but when Jesus spoke to Mary at the very end of that first episode of Season 1, I wept because it was God speaking to me directly, saying, ‘You’re mine. You’ll always be mine.'”

Season 5 began filming on April 11. “We are officially commencing day one of 68 days of filming here in beautiful Utah. The set is behind me, we have done our first rehearsal, and we are about to get going,” Jenkins said in a post that day.
The upcoming season will focus solely on Holy Week.
“The response to Season 4 has been overwhelming so far, which provides a nice lift for us as we head into filming,” Jenkins told Variety. “Of course, we’re about to try to portray the most famous week in the history of humans, so the euphoria from the previous season never lasts long. The entire Season 6 will cover one day, so covering one week in Season 5 feels luxurious.”

Here's a little chart I use to keep track of the disciples we have so far. It can be hard to remember who's who in The Chosen, especially with similar faces and duplicate names.
Left to right, top to bottom:
Jesus: You know who He is. Played by Jonathan Roumie.
Simon: Andrew's brother, was a fisherman before meeting Jesus. In the Gospels, he is eventually renamed Peter. I like calling him "Simon P". Played by Shahar Isaac.
Andrew: Simon P's brother, was a fisherman and follower of John the Baptist before meeting Jesus. Played by Noah James.
James: John's brother, one of the sons of Thunder, was a fisherman before meeting Jesus. The series calls him "Big James". He was played by Shayan Sobhian and later Kian Kavousi in season 1, but Abe Martell now has the role from season 2 onward so he's the one pictured above.
John: Author of the Book of John, Big James' brother, one of the sons of thunder, was a fisherman before meeting Jesus. Played by George Xanthis.
Philip: Follower of John the Baptist and a friend of Nathaniel before meeting Jesus. Played by Yoshi Barrigas.
Nathaniel: Architect (in series, not in the Bible) and friend of Philip before meeting Jesus. Played by Austin Reed Alleman.
Matthew: Author of the Book of Matthew. Tax collector before meeting Jesus. Played by Paras Patel.
Thomas: Wedding planner (in series, not in the Bible) before meeting Jesus. Played by Joey Vahedi.
James: Singer (in series, not in the Bible) before meeting Jesus. The series calls him "Young/Little James". Played by Jordan Walker Ross.
Simon: Zealot (aka member of the Zealots, a violent anti-Roman political sect) before meeting Jesus. So far the series calls him "Simon son of Zebulun", the fandom likes to call him Simon the Zealot or Simon Z. Played by Alaa Safi.
Thaddeus: Construction worker (in series, not in the Bible) before meeting Jesus. Played by Giavani Cairo.
Judas Iscariot: The disciple who betrayed Jesus. He hasn't been introduced yet (as of s2 e7). Played by ?????
Let me know if I should do this for more characters!
