Win #500 for BRUCE!!!!!!
January 18th, 2017 - Auburn Arena
RECAP
Auburn was buzzing on this cold Wednesday night. Star quarterback of the future, savior of the program Jarrett Stidham had arrived on campus (and was sitting in front of me). Charles Barkley was in the building.
Why? What was the big deal, it was a midweek game between two of the worst teams in the SEC? There was the spectacle of Austin Wiley playing in front of a back-from-Christmas student section for the first time, but that wasn’t quite it.
After two failed attempts on the road in CoMo and Rupp Arena, Bruce Pearl was trying once again for his 500th career win as a head coach. With the foundation of the Final Four team in place, tonight was the night.
The game itself was a story Auburn fans know all too well. A well-rounded but three-ball deficient night for the offense, Auburn built multiple double digit leads in this game, and continued to blow said leads. This was a common theme for this team, as the young trio of Harper, Brown, and Heron could go from lighting the world on fire to not being able to shoot their way out of a paper bag in a matter of minutes.
Fortunately, Auburn got strong games out of its big men, with Spencer, Wiley, and McLemore combining for 31 points on 10-17 shooting, 17 rebounds, 7 blocks, and four steals.
When watching the highlights, though, TJ Dunnans was a problem for LSU. He was active on both ends of the court, and Johnny Jones’s team struggled all night boxing him out and keeping him away from the rim.
As the game drew to near its conclusion, LSU cam roaring back. Bryce Brown hit Horace Spencer in transition for a monster dunk to put the lead at six with 20 seconds to go, but the bad guys hit a three with around 10 seconds on the clock to bring it to within three points. Luckily, Ronnie Johnson hit went 1-2 from the charity stripe to seal the victory in the waning seconds.
And with that, the party began!
Here’s to several hundred more, Bruce.

2020 NFL draft – Biggest post-draft questions for all 32 teams
4:30 PM IST
Tumblr media
NFL NationESPN
The 2020 NFL draft — moved from Las Vegas into the homes of owners, general managers and coaches because of the coronavirus pandemic — is in the books. While it’s uncertain when the 255 drafted rookies will meet their new teammates and coaches in person, the depth charts are beginning to come into focus. While many holes have been filled, there are still lingering personnel questions for each of the 32 teams going forward.
Our NFL Nation reporters were asked to identify the biggest question for the team they cover.
Scan through all 32 teams by division, or click here to jump ahead to your team:

Have the Bills improved their offense enough to make them AFC contenders?
Trading their first-round pick for receiver Stefon Diggs was a drastic move to give this offense a home-run threat, and taking running back Zack Moss presumably gives Buffalo an ideal complement to Devin Singletary. By the end of draft weekend, Buffalo added two more receivers and a backup quarterback as GM Brandon Beane looks to improve the NFL’s 23rd-ranked scoring offense from a season ago. On paper, it appears better. But, the newest additions will need to jell quickly given the truncated offseason. — Marcel Louis-Jacques
Tumblr media
What is the timeline for Tua Tagovailoa and his newly drafted offensive line to lead the Dolphins?
The Dolphins drafted their quarterback of the future and three potential starting offensive linemen (Austin Jackson, Robert Hunt and Solomon Kindley) to protect him, but they might not get immediate contributions from all. Ryan Fitzpatrick could start the season at quarterback while Tagovailoa continues to rehab and learn, and Jackson has to gain strength before he’s ready to take on NFL defenders. It’s unclear whether Miami will expedite the process by throwing them into the fire or take a gradual approach while waiting until the 2021 season to unleash a new-look offense. — Cameron Wolfe

Is Jarrett Stidham the answer as Tom Brady‘s replacement at QB?
When the Patriots passed on Jordan Love at No. 23, it was a moment of truth for how the organization viewed Stidham relative to Love, the fourth-rated quarterback in this year’s draft. And then the Patriots passed on drafting a quarterback altogether, instead adding Louisiana Tech’s J’Mar Smith as an undrafted free agent. Brian Hoyer is the veteran fallback option, but the path is clear for Stidham to be QB1 if he continues to develop. Now, more than ever, it’s Stidham’s job to lose. — Mike Reiss
Tumblr media
Did the front office give quarterback Sam Darnold enough weapons?
The early answer is no, as the receiver-needy Jets drafted only one: Denzel Mims (second round). Mims has a high ceiling, but he will need time to develop because he played in an unsophisticated passing offense at Baylor. GM Joe Douglas should have taken another wideout in what was billed as one of the deepest receiver drafts in history. Now they will have to sign a veteran to fortify themselves. — Rich Cimini

How will the Ravens divvy up the touches in their backfield?
The Ravens drafted Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins in the second round even though they return the three running backs that helped them set the NFL record for most rushing yards in a season. Mark Ingram, who is coming off a Pro Bowl season, remains the starter, but everything is up in the air after that. How will Baltimore incorporate Dobbins, the top-ranked running back on its board? What are the roles for Gus Edwards (5.3-yard career average) and Justice Hill (the fastest running back at the 2019 combine)? All in all, dealing with the most loaded backfield in the league is an enviable position for offensive coordinator Greg Roman. — Jamison Hensley

Joe Burrow joins Scott Van Pelt to discuss being selected first overall and how ready he is to get to work in Cincinnati.
Tumblr media
What’s next for quarterback Andy Dalton?
The Bengals have their new franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow. Now that the draft class has officially arrived, Dalton’s $17.7 million cap hit becomes a bigger issue. A resolution to Dalton’s fate could happen sooner rather than later. — Ben Baby
Tumblr media
Will quarterback Baker Mayfield take advantage of what Cleveland has accomplished?
After landing right tackle Jack Conklin and tight end Austin Hooper in free agency, the Browns added offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. with the 10th pick in the draft. The Browns also drafted the most productive tight end in college football last year in Harrison Bryant. With what should be a significantly better offense line, combined with all the weapons Mayfield will have at his disposal, there should be no excuses next season for the third-year quarterback. — Jake Trotter
Tumblr media
What version of Ben Roethlisberger will return after an elbow injury?
The Steelers didn’t draft a quarterback, and with Jameis Winston close to a deal with the Saints, that storyline is out the window. By not adding a quarterback, the Steelers’ front office continues to affirm their belief Roethlisberger will be a “better” version of himself in 2020. But with the uncertainty of the offseason program, it could be a while before Roethlisberger can work with his new teammates, including big-bodied receiver Chase Claypool. The Steelers also telegraphed their confidence in Mason Rudolph‘s development by passing on a quarterback. He had a roller-coaster 2019 season, but the Steelers believe he can rebound as Roethlisberger’s backup. — Brooke Pryor

Tumblr media
Are the Texans done making changes at safety?
In coach/GM Bill O’Brien’s pre-draft news conference, safety was one of two positions he specifically mentioned despite signing former Browns safety Eric Murray to a three-year deal last month. The Texans didn’t pick a safety, instead agreeing to a one-year deal with veteran Michael Thomas after the first day of the draft. Houston still has last year’s starters — Justin Reid and Tashaun Gipson — on the roster, but in that same news conference, O’Brien did not mention Gipson when talking about the position, instead naming every other player he thinks could contribute. — Sarah Barshop
Tumblr media
Is Jacob Eason the next franchise quarterback?
The Colts addressed all their needs during the draft — receiver, offensive line, defensive line — while also adding some speed in the backfield with running back Jonathan Taylor. Eason was projected by some to be a first-round pick, but he ended up falling to the fourth round. It’s a low-risk, high-reward move for the Colts. After he signs, Eason will be the only quarterback under contract for the Colts after next season, assuming he makes the roster. “Let’s slow our roll a little bit in terms of tagging this guy as the next messiah walking into town. He was a fourth-round pick,” general manager Chris Ballard said. — Mike Wells

What about running back Leonard Fournette?
The Jaguars tried to work out a trade for Fournette for about a month, but they weren’t able to get anything done. There’s still time to do so before the season, but if the Jaguars do move him, that leaves a massive hole in the offense. Fournette accounted for 1,674 yards last season, and if he’s dealt, the Jaguars’ most experienced back would be Ryquell Armstead, who had 35 carries as a rookie in 2019. The Jaguars didn’t draft a back; GM Dave Caldwell said they would have done so in only the fifth round or later if they believed there was a back better than Armstead or Devine Ozigbo. So it’s not exactly the best situation for second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew. If the Jaguars hold on to Fournette, how is he going to react? — Mike DiRocco
Tumblr media
Will Jadeveon Clowney be the next addition to the defense?
The Titans went through the draft without selecting an edge defender, even though there were some good ones on the board when they picked. GM Jon Robinson said the draft was “its own entity” but when asked about potentially signing Clowney, he mentioned how the roster-building process is never over. Titans coach Mike Vrabel was the defensive coordinator in Houston during Clowney’s best season in 2017. — Turron Davenport

Will the Broncos get a new deal done for safety Justin Simmons?
Minutes after the team wrapped up its 10-player draft class, Broncos president of football operations/general manager John Elway said negotiations with Simmons’ representatives would restart. He also said he didn’t expect Simmons to sign his franchise-player tender during the offseason, and the Broncos were scheduled to begin their virtual offseason program for players Monday. Simmons, who has played every snap on defense in each of the past two seasons, is looking to be in the top tier of pay for safeties, and that would take at least a $14 million a season. — Jeff Legwold
Tumblr media
Will defensive tackle Chris Jones play for the Chiefs this year?
The Chiefs didn’t trade him before the draft and haven’t signed him to a long-term contract. Jones has given no indication he plans to sign the one-year, $16 million tender he received as their franchise player. For now, it’s no sure thing the team’s leader in sacks in each of the past two seasons will be a part of things in 2020. — Adam Teicher
Tumblr media
In a draft geared toward mimicking the Chiefs, did the Raiders do enough to catch them?
“That’s a loaded question,” Las Vegas GM Mike Mayock said. “That’s a tough question.” But a fair one, after he acknowledged that while every team in the NFL is chasing the high-powered Super Bowl champs, the Raiders have the unenviable task of facing them twice a season. Picking the fastest guy in the draft in wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, the most versatile in the draft in Lynn Bowden Jr. and a ball-hawk slot corner in Amik Robertson are steps in that direction. — Paul Gutierrez
Tumblr media
Who will play left tackle?
The Chargers filled several position needs through the draft but must still determine who will play left tackle as they did not select a tackle with any of their six picks. “I’m comfortable with what we have,” coach Anthony Lynn said after the draft. But after trading Russell Okung to the Panthers, it’s unclear if Trey Pipkins or Sam Tevi will be able to step up. — Lindsey Thiry

Tumblr media
What’s next for the Cowboys’ pass rush?
If the question can’t be about when quarterback Dak Prescott will sign a multiyear contract, it has to be about the pass rush. It was an issue before the draft, and the Cowboys did not address the spot until taking Bradlee Anae in the fifth round. Though Anae had 13 sacks in Utah in 2019, it’s not realistic to ask a Day 3 pick to be an influence. Yes, Aldon Smith and Randy Gregory could be reinstated, but Smith has not played since 2015 and Gregory has played 16 games in the past four years. Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said the team has reached out to the agents for some veteran players, but he did not specify the position. Finding a backup offensive tackle and perhaps a safety also could be options, but the pass rush is more pressing. — Todd Archer
Tumblr media
Will the Giants sign Markus Golden or Jadeveon Clowney?
As things stand, they don’t have a player on the roster who had more than 4.5 sacks last season. They also didn’t draft an edge rusher until the sixth round. Still, GM Dave Gettleman made it seem a move for Golden or Clowney was unlikely. He talked about a “group effort” without a “blue goose” pass-rusher leading the way. He also mentioned they “can do it with scheme.” That makes it seem as if their pass-rush hopes are likely to rest on the shoulders of Lorenzo Carter, Oshane Ximines and Kyler Fackrell, rather than a veteran such as Golden or Clowney. — Jordan Raanan

Tumblr media
How will Carson Wentz react to the addition of Jalen Hurts?
It’s unusual for a team to use a high pick on a quarterback when it has a franchise starter still in his prime. Wentz emerged from the shadow cast by Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles and now must share the locker room — and apparently some playing time — with the dynamic Hurts, while dealing with the media scrutiny that has already started. The 2020 season just got a whole lot more interesting in Philly. — Tim McManus

Did the Redskins find enough help for quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr.?
They added a versatile weapon in running back/receiver Antonio Gibson in the third round and an intriguing receiver in Antonio Gandy-Golden in the fourth. Both could help soon — especially Gibson. They aren’t sure who will protect Haskins’ blind side with Trent Williams now in San Francisco. Washington has a few choices, including fourth-round pick Saahdiq Charles, but it lacks a proven starter and it will remain a question. It was a bad draft class for tight ends, and the Redskins did add two in free agency — Richard Rodgers and Logan Thomas — who are better than anything they probably would have added late in the draft. But that leads to another question: Do they have a legitimate starter at the position? — John Keim

Who starts at safety alongside Eddie Jackson?
The Bears had the opportunity to draft a starting-caliber safety in the second round but instead addressed tight end (Cole Kmet) and cornerback (Jaylon Johnson). After the departure of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in free agency, the Bears made a couple of modest moves at safety when they re-signed Deon Bush and added veteran Jordan Lucas. But is that enough? Especially on a top-10 defense? Chicago is rolling the dice on a pair of veterans who have primarily been special-teamers in the NFL. The decision could prove cost-effective, but it could also backfire. — Jeff Dickerson
Tumblr media
How are the Lions going to create pressure?
Drafting linebacker Julian Okwara was a good start, but the Lions went light on linemen, waiting until the sixth round to take a defensive tackle. It’s the position that going into the draft was a top-three need and remains a massive question. Danny Shelton is now likely to have a huge role in the middle of Detroit’s line, and the team is potentially counting on Nick Williams to do more than he has in stints with four other teams. Detroit has cap space, so a veteran or two could sign to provide more stability, but the Lions’ biggest weakness remains the middle of the defensive line. — Michael Rothstein

Will the Packers keep looking for a receiver?
A record-tying 36 receivers were picked in the draft. The Packers didn’t take one despite most believing it was their biggest need. GM Brian Gutekunst said afterward he liked the receivers in the draft but didn’t believe it was as deep as others. He didn’t take a mid- or late-round receiver because he did not think there was one to beat out the likes of Allen Lazard, Devin Funchess, Equanimeous St. Brown, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Malik Taylor, Darrius Shepherd or CFL pickup Reggie Begelton for a spot behind Davante Adams. “We really think we’ve got a lot of guys who are going to be pushing for playing time and production,” Gutekunst said. — Rob Demovsky

What will the offensive line look like?
The Vikings made a home-run pick in Ezra Cleveland, who was available at No. 58 without the team having to trade up. Missing on trading for Trent Williams worked out for the best for the Vikings, who saved a bunch of money and have a young, potential franchise left tackle in the fold. Vikings right tackle Brian O’Neill had a full offseason in advance of his rookie season in 2018, and he still wasn’t ready to start until Week 6; this season’s truncated offseason program might not afford Cleveland time to develop.
GM Rick Spielman said Riley Reiff is going to hold down the “left side” for now, but does that mean at his current position (left tackle) or a move to guard with a possible contract restructure? The Vikings will be shuffling the interior of the offensive line with a “wide-open competition” at both guard spots, so it’s time to see what they have in Dru Samia (2019 fourth round), Oli Udoh (2019 sixth round) and potentially veteran Dakota Dozier, who filled in at both left and right guard in 2019. The Vikings could also sign a veteran to compete in training camp. — Courtney Cronin

Is the defense fixed?
That’s what the Falcons would like for their fans to believe after selecting four defensive players in the first five picks. It looks good on paper to have a potential shutdown starting corner in first-rounder A.J. Terrell and a versatile pass-rusher in second-rounder Marlon Davidson, along with depth in linebacker Mykal Walker and safety Jaylinn Hawkins. But the Falcons still need to show it on the field under defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, especially against Drew Brees and Tom Brady in the NFC South. Newcomer Dante Fowler Jr. must make an impact at pass-rusher, and second-year corner Kendall Sheffield has to live up to that No. 1 corner potential, among other things. — Vaughn McClure
Tumblr media
Can fourth-round pick Tony Pride Jr. develop into a No. 1 cornerback?
He has the speed, physical traits and confidence, saying he’s a “competitive beast.” He sounds like Josh Norman, a fifth-round pick in 2012, who was benched after 13 games as a rookie and didn’t emerge as a star until the 2015 season. The Panthers need Pride to contribute quickly, especially considering the uncertainty at the other cornerback spot with Donte Jackson. Beefing up the front line with first-round pick Derrick Brown helps if quarterbacks don’t have as much time to throw. But for Carolina to be competitive in coach Matt Rhule’s first season, the secondary has to be strong in a division with Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. — David Newton

The Saints worked quickly to address their biggest remaining need after the draft, with news breaking Sunday morning they were closing in on a deal with Jameis Winston while re-signing Taysom Hill. Did the Bucs do enough to help the secondary?
Tampa Bay, which ranked 30th in pass defense in 2019 (4,322 passing yards), drafted safety Antoine Winfield Jr. in the second round but did not address depth needs at cornerback. In free agency, they re-signed Ryan Smith, but his primary role is serving as a gunner on special teams and he hasn’t done much in Todd Bowles’ defense. They drafted four cornerbacks in the first three rounds of the past two drafts (2018 and 2019) and will have to bank on developing Smith, Mazzi Wilkins and M.J. Stewart even more to see what kind of depth they can provide behind starters Carlton Davis, Sean Murphy-Bunting and Jamel Dean. — Jenna Laine

Did the Cardinals fill all their roster holes?
The short answer is yes, as they don’t have any major needs coming out of the draft. Drafting Isaiah Simmons with the eighth pick filled a slew of concerns on defense, and the addition of tackle Josh Jones gives Arizona, at worst, a backup at right tackle this season and, at best, a new starter. The rest of the draft class filled out depth issues. — Josh Weinfuss
Tumblr media
Did the Rams find enough talent to improve their defense?
Several key playmakers were lost in free agency or released because of salary-cap space. It remains to be determined whether the free-agent signings of defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson and outside linebacker Leonard Floyd, plus the selections in the draft of outside linebacker Terrell Lewis, defensive back Terrell Burgess, safety Jordan Fuller and linebacker Clay Johnston will provide enough ready-made talent to step into meaningful roles. — Lindsey Thiry
Tumblr media
How fast can their new additions get up to speed?
The 49ers are leaning heavily on continuity as they retained 18 of their 22 primary starters as well as plenty of depth and the majority of their coaching staff, including all of their coordinators. But they suffered a few important losses in defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, left tackle Joe Staley and receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Now, the Niners turn to rookie defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw and rookie wideout Brandon Aiyuk as well as left tackle Trent Williams to fill in. In an offseason of uncertainty, that trio won’t get the usual on-field work, but much will be expected as the Niners try to return to — and win — the Super Bowl. — Nick Wagoner

Have the Seahawks improved their pass rush enough?
They signed veterans Bruce Irvin and Benson Mayowa, then drafted Darrell Taylor (second round) and Alton Robinson (fifth) to address their biggest needs, but they still don’t have a Pro Bowl-caliber player like Jadeveon Clowney as a primary threat off the edge. In the past 10 seasons, only six times has a player drafted outside of the top 16 recorded eight or more sacks as a rookie, so immediate expectations should be kept in check for Taylor and Robinson. The door isn’t closed on a reunion with Clowney, but without him or another big-name addition, the Seahawks would have to bank on Irvin (8.5) and Mayowa (7.0) replicating their career-best sack totals from last year, plus significant contributions from Jarran Reed and their younger pass-rushers. — Brady Henderson

Here’s our final 2020 NFL mock draft
Tumblr media
Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert will be first-round picks in the NFL Draft.
The drama is nearly over. Here’s where Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, and more will land on draft night.
The drama in the 2020 NFL Draft is nearly over. Much of the lead up to the draft has been centered around where Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will land.
In this mock, my final first-round variety for the 2020 NFL Draft, Tagovailoa is the third quarterback taken. He could just as easily be the second quarterback taken. A lot will depend on how comfortable teams are with his health.
Here’s one last look at how the first round could shake out on Thursday night:
1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
2. Washington: Chase Young, DE, Ohio State
When is the last time we’ve known for so long who the first two picks of the draft would be? It was probably 2010, the last year before the NFL introduced a rookie wage scale. That draft ended up seeing quarterback Sam Bradford go first and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh second. Will the careers of these two follow a similar trajectory? We’ll see.
3. Detroit Lions: Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State
I’ve liked the pick of Okudah for the Lions for quite a while now, but I’m just not sure it will happen at the No. 3 pick.
4. New York Giants: Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
It’s understandable why Clemson defensive weapon Isaiah Simmons has been considered here. But I just can’t get past the Giants trying to protect young franchise stars Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley with the offensive line they have currently.
5. Miami Dolphins: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
If the Dolphins are, in fact, split between Herbert and Tagovailoa, the latter’s injury background might be the decider. This would be a risky move by the Dolphins, but Herbert has an impressive skillset.
6. Los Angeles Chargers: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
Even though Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn loves Tyrod Taylor, he will be hard-pressed to pass on Tagovailoa. He can be the face of the franchise the Chargers need to build around. And if it works out, the Chargers should push for a playoff spot next season.
7. Carolina Panthers: Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn
Carolina’s run defense last season was abysmal, and a monstrous player like Brown can only help make it better. The team was 29th last year in run defense in the NFL, and Brown can occupy blockers up the middle to let Carolina’s linebackers find the ball cleanly.
8. Arizona Cardinals: Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
There’s been a lot of buzz about this pick being Brown, Isaiah Simmons, or even yet another wide receiver. But Arizona’s dire need at right tackle should trump all of those things.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars: Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson
Up until the last minute, I kept flip-flopping Simmons and Brown between Jacksonville and Carolina. They are two of the elite players in this draft.
10. Cleveland Browns: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia
This might be the safe pick for the Browns. Thomas is a traditional left tackle with the footwork to handle speed rushers on the edge. He has some technical balance things to fix, but he’s as pro-ready as any tackle in this draft. That’s the kind of player the Browns need. A trade down is highly possible too.
11. New York Jets: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
The Jets are another team with a young franchise quarterback they can’t seem to protect. Whether it is Becton or Thomas, it would be smart for the Jets to grab the best left tackle available at No. 11. They can fill their massive need at wide receiver later in the draft.
12. Las Vegas Raiders: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
With the big run on offensive tackles, it could put the Raiders in position to take whomever they view as the top wide receiver in the draft. Matching a yards-after-catch monster (Lamb) up with a checkdown master (Derek Carr) would be perfect.
13. San Francisco 49ers (via Indianapolis Colts): Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
It feels like this pick could be down to Jeudy or Florida cornerback CJ Henderson. On a team with offensive-minded head coach Kyle Shanahan, I’m going with Jeudy. Cornerback can wait until later for the 49ers.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Josh Jones, OT, Houston
Will the Buccaneers trade up to the offensive tackle they covet? That was the buzz in the final day before the start of the first round. If they stay at 14, Jones is arguably the fifth-best offensive tackle in this class. And in this group, taking the fifth-best one isn’t such a bad thing.
15. Denver Broncos: Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama
Has a pick in the middle of the first round ever been this commonly mocked for, like, four months straight? I’ve been doing these mock drafts for SB Nation since the 2009 draft and can’t recall it.
16. Atlanta Falcons: CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
The Falcons are another team rumored to be keen to trade up. General manager Thomas Dimitroff does have a deep history of moving up, most famously for wide receiver Julio Jones. If the Falcons really want Henderson, they may have to do just that.
17. Dallas Cowboys: K’Lavon Chaisson, Edge, LSU
It seems like this pick will either be Chaisson, Henderson, or one of the defensive backs from Alabama. Which means it probably won’t be any of those four. Chaisson is the type of pass rusher the Cowboys have needed for years.
18. Miami Dolphins (via Pittsburgh Steelers): Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina
At this stage, Kinlaw would be too good for a team like Miami to pass on. The Dolphins allowed 135.4 rushing yards per game last season. Kinlaw can help that, and give the team a versatile pass rusher.
19. Las Vegas Raiders (via Chicago Bears): A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson
If the Raiders use their first pick on a wide receiver, they should take a cornerback with this one. Terrell and former college teammate Trayvon Mullen would give the Raiders a nice pair of outside cornerbacks.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars: (via Los Angeles Rams): Yetur Gross-Matos, Edge, Penn State
Again, this is the Yannick Ngakoue replacement pick. It will be made even better if the Jaguars can move Ngakoue for a pick in this draft.
21. Philadelphia Eagles: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
If the Eagles get antsy, they could try to move up some spots to get a wide receiver. They certainly need one. But how high will they have to go? The Eagles could conceivably jump all the way up to No. 10 to get ahead of the other teams that need a receiver.
22. Minnesota Vikings (via Buffalo Bills): Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah
The Vikings’ need for a cornerback has been obvious all offseason. Johnson, a bigger cornerback who can press at the line, would be a nice fit in Mike Zimmer’s defense.
23. New England Patriots: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
I’m doing it. In my final 2020 mock draft, I’m pushing the Love to New England theory. In the last couple of days, few are predicting this will happen. But it’s just impossible to feel that confident in Brian Hoyer or Jarrett Stidham.
24. New Orleans Saints: Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
The Saints have few needs going into the draft, so maybe they trade out of this pick to get something in 2021. If they stay here, Murray would be a good player to pair with Demario Davis and give the linebacker unit an injection of youth and athleticism.
25. Minnesota Vikings: Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
After trading Stefon Diggs to Buffalo, the Vikings need a wide receiver who can keep the pressure off of Adam Thielen. Mims is a big, fast receiver who can win jump balls and be an asset in the red zone.
26. Miami Dolphins (via Houston Texans): Austin Jackson, OT, USC
Originally, I had this being Alabama safety Xavier McKinney. But Miami’s need at offensive tackle only grows if they take a quarterback in the top 10.
27. Seattle Seahawks: Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State
Chances are the Seahawks are going to trade out of this pick. It’s just what they do. But this mock isn’t including trades, as is tradition. Basically, I think Cleveland lands somewhere in the first round.
28. Baltimore Ravens: Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
The Ravens badly need a linebacker, whether it is Queen or Murray. Whichever one is available should be the choice for Baltimore. They’ve done well building up their defensive line this offseason, but need a linebacker who can chase the ball carrier down.
29. Tennessee Titans: Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia
This became my pick for the Titans about three weeks ago, and I’m not getting off it in my final 2020 first-round mock draft. Wilson would help the Titans maintain a strong run offense.
30. Green Bay Packers: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
Green Bay’s wide receivers after Davante Adams are suspect. Aiyuk is a versatile receiver who could be a big-play weapon for the Packers.
31. San Francisco 49ers: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
Diggs is raw coming out of Alabama, but he can learn from Richard Sherman and eventually replace him.
32. Kansas City Chiefs: Cesar Ruiz, C, Michigan
Stefen Wisniewski departed Kansas City in free agency, leaving the Super Bowl champions with Austin Reiter as the projected starting center. That’s not good enough. Ruiz is the consensus best center in the draft, and is stellar in pass protection.

Senior Bowl Final: North Wins 34-24
The 70th Reese’s Senior Bowl ended with a 34-24 win for the North team, but it’s not the score that matters. Over 100 players were vying for one last opportunity to make their impression on those in attendance at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
In the final portion of a week long job interview the South scored on a 75-yard drive to open the game. The drive was capped off by a 1-yard touchdown by Temple running back Ryquell Armstead. It was set up by a 21-yard chunk gain by Slippery Rock running back Wes Hills.
Boston College defensive end Zach Allen got a finger on the extra point attempt to keep the lead to 6-0 early in the first.
The South began to sputter in their second drive but they got a spark when Clemson WR Hunter Renfrow brought down a prayer from West Virginia quarterback Will Grier. The play went for 34 yards and highlighted an underrated aspect of Renfrow’s game.
The drive would stall after Texas defensive lineman Charles Omenihu beat Utah State tight end Dax Raymond for a 3-yard loss. Omenihu played big all series despite an incorrect hands to the face penalty early in the drive. LSU kicker Cole Tracy would extend the South’s lead to 9 points with a 33-yard field goal.
The North would look to get on the board late in the first as Missouri quarterback Drew Lock led an efficient drive. He nearly hit Ohio State wide receiver Terry McLaurin down the seam for a touchdown but it was dropped. McLaurin had one of the best weeks of any prospect in Mobile, but failed to help himself on a potential score. He would come down with a contested catch on a flea flicker later in the game to help even things out.
Oklahoma kicker Austin Seibert missed the ensuing 44-yard field goal to keep the North scoreless in the first quarter. Seibert would punch through a 20-yard chip shot on the next drive to inch the North closer at 9-3 in the second quarter. The score would stay that way until 43-yard field goal from the South’s Tracy to extend their lead 12-3 before the end of the half.
It was about as exciting as a second quarter as it sounds as Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley and Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew failed to do anything of note. The offensive woes were made worse by a lost fumble by UCLA tight end Caleb Wilson, which summed up his week.
Duke quarterback Daniel Jones kicked off the second half with a long scoring drive for the North, making it 13-10. It totaled 10 plays and 84 yards and highlighted both the good and concerning aspects of his game. He displayed a lack of velocity with some serious ducks and nearly threw an interception directly to Virginia safety Juan Thornhill.
After a pass interference against Temple cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, Jones would keep a read option for a 1-yard touchdown. Jones amassed 17 rushing touchdowns in college and it remains a solid piece of his game.
Charles Omenihu strip sacked Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham, which set up another scoring drive for the North, putting them up 17-12. UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella smoked the South defense on a screen for a 19-yard touchdown.
Isabella’s tiny arms and hands caused problems for him throughout the week but there’s no question about his play-making ability. He claimed to have run a hand-timed 4.26 40-yard dash and will light up the NFL Combine.
NC State quarterback Ryan Finley led a field goal drive to end the third quarter that ended in a 29-yard Seibert field goal. Washington tight end Drew Sample and UC Davis wide receiver Keelan Doss got plenty of work during the series. On the day, Doss impressed with 4 catches and 55 yards. Sample built on a strong week with 4 catches and 39 yards.
A late addition, Buffalo quarterback Tyree Jackson entered the game and showed a great rapport West Virginia wide receiver Gary Jennings. They connected on a 54-yard bomb and finished the drive for the South on a 10-yard slant and score.
The South failed on the two-point conversion, keeping them behind 2 points in a 20-18 game early in the fourth quarter. The North quickly countered with an 8-play, 75-yard drive capped off by 3-yard touchdown run from Notre Dame running back Dexter Williams. The entire series was a dominant performance by the North offensive line, who gave them a 26-18 lead with 8:05 remaining.
Tyree Jackson’s day went from good to bad on an errant pass intercepted by Delaware safety Nasir Adderley of the North. Memphis running back Tony Pollard would close the door on the South with a 21-yard touchdown run to make the score 34-18. Jackson would add a garbage time touchdown to West Virginia wide receiver David Sills V to give the game a final of 34-24 for the North.
Daniel Jones was named MVP of the game because valuing the results over the process is a thing that happens with awards and really there weren’t many challengers that stuffed the box score.
Additional Notes...
Mississippi State defensive end Montez Sweat put together a solid drive early in the game with a run stuff and doing well to not bite on play-action. His day would come to a halt when he was matched up with Kansas State offensive tackle Dalton Risner, which was a repeat of their regular season encounter. Risner’s practice week included choke-slamming Northern Illinois linebacker Sutton Smith, exchanging hay-makers with Zach Allen, and excitedly shoving Jon Gruden after a dominant rep on day one.
Texas cornerback Kris Boyd had bad 2018 film, a bad week of practice, and compounded all of that with three penalties on the first two drives. He’s a long way away from his solid 2017 tape and teams will have to be confident they can get him out of a serious funk if they decide to select him.
New Mexico State linebacker Terrill Hanks was up-and-down. He did well on one play to stack and disengage for a stuff, but issues with his reckless, lunging tackling technique popped up when he whiffed on Memphis running back Tony Pollard.
Western Illinois defensive tackle Khalen Saunders had an impressive day, including a club-swim sack on Grier early in the game. Showing any pass rush juice as a 320-pounder is always going to be a check in the positive column.
Louisiana Tech defensive end Jaylon Ferguson finished a coverage sack on Daniel Jones and followed up by staying disciplined on a play-action boot. Ferguson accumulated an NCAA-leading 45 sacks in college but still has plenty to prove before teams will invest a high draft pick on him.
USC offensive tackle Chuma Edoga continued his impressive week and showed off his athleticism once again. His block outside of the core of the formation helped spring Andy Isabella on his 19-yard touchdown.
Texas A&M defensive tackle Kingsley Keke vs. Northern Illinois tackle Max Scharping was good comedy. Keke showed well enough throughout the week while Scharping should go undrafted.
Offensive line dominated the day due to a lack of premium pass rushers, but Iowa’s defensive end Anthony Nelson did end up whooping the impressive Washington State tackle Andre Dillard for a sack fumble. Dillard had a very good week and this was the worst rep of his that I saw.
Boston College offensive guard Chris Lindstrom began exerting his will in the fourth quarter. Lindstrom was washing guys down the line, working well in combination blocks, reaching second level targets and pancaking dudes. He worked really well with NC State center Garrett Bradbury.

Another record number of Alvin and Pearland ISD students graduated this spring from Alvin Community College with their Associate Degree or technical certificate before receiving their high school diploma.
“We are very proud of the growing number of Dual Degree graduates,” ACC President Dr. Christal M. Albrecht said. “These young men and women are highly intelligent, driven, and motivated individuals who now have a jump-start on their education and have substantially reduced the costs associated with a degree.”
ACC has 181 students completing 60 hours of college coursework through participation in the ACC Dual Degree program and to complete their Associate Degree in General Studies.  Forty-six students also received certificates in Welding, Automotive, and Pharmacy Tech through the Dual Enrollment technical pathway partnership with Alvin ISD.
Most Dual Degree graduate students begin their journey as freshmen, taking classes on their high school campus and any additional courses needed at ACC or online. Advisors say it takes a lot of work and the students have to stay on task.
“Each year as participation in the Dual Enrollment program continues to climb, the number of Dual Degree and certificate graduates continues to increase as well. It is a true testament to the ambition, drive, and fortitude of the students and the ACC program, faculty and staff,” said Akilah Martin, ACC director of College and Career Pathway.
Students seeking the associates degree have increased dramatically since ACC's first Dual Degree grad, Thomas Schuenemann, in 2008. Since then, the program has had 838 students graduate. There are now more than 2,000 students enrolled each semester in the Dual Enrollment program at eight area high schools.

Could the Patriots really skip a quarterback in the draft?
Tumblr media
Bill Belichick could lean into his defense this draft with Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray.
For the first time in a very long time, the New England Patriots are in limbo.
Quarterback Tom Brady has departed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving New England with Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham. That is not ideal.
Throughout much of the draft process, the Patriots have been linked to Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. In the SB Nation NFL writers’ mock draft, he was surprisingly taken by the Buccaneers at No. 14. Somehow, Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is still available.
But that’s not what Bernd Buchmasser of Pats Pulpit has in mind with his pick.
23. New England Patriots: Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
Buchmasser: The most realistic scenario from the Patriots’ perspective might be a trade down to fill the 63-pick gap between their first- and third-round selections and to take advantage of the draft’s general depth beyond Round 1. That said, Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray would be a quality addition to the NFL’s top-ranked scoring defense — one that lost linebackers Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins, and Elandon Roberts in free agency — if the team does opt to make a pick at No. 23.
New England’s defensive scheme, after all, is largely built around its linebackers making impact plays either at the edge or from the second level behind the two-gapping defensive tackles. Having options in the fold that can contribute on all three defensive downs — such as Van Noy, Collins, or Dont’a Hightower — therefore is integral to the operation. Murray would offer just that as well: he is a potential immediate starter who enters the league with an already high floor and an intriguing athletic profile.
Murray’s ability to play off the ball as a rangy middle/inside linebacker but also move down to hold the edge on the defensive line would make him a valuable chess piece — a Hightower 2.0, if you will, who offers a similar albeit not quite as versatile skill set. Nevertheless, the 21-year-old projects to fit in well with New England’s hybrid scheme that mixes 3-4 and 4-3 concepts based on situation and opponent and needs its linebackers to bring the necessary intelligence and reactionary skills to the table. Murray checks all those boxes.
Analysis: Not taking Herbert here is stunning. Let’s try and figure out the logic if Bill Belichick did this in the actual draft. If Belichick is concerned about the future of his team, he could lean into what he knows best. That would be the defense. The long-running Patriots dynasty didn’t start with Brady. It started with Belichick’s defense. He could look to rebuild that defense in this draft. His secondary is arguably the NFL’s best right now, but the front seven needs a lot of work. To me, Murray is the best defensive player available in this mock draft.
The trouble is, Herbert was literally the only player ahead of him in overall rankings. While I understand going defense, it’s really hard to see New England passing on the Oregon quarterback.
Top five remaining players:
15. Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
19. Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
20. Josh Jones, OT, Houston
22. Grant Delpit, S, LSU
23. Austin Jackson, OT, USC
Our final pick of the day will be up at 1 p.m. ET with Canal Street Chronicle’s Chris Dunnells making the pick for the Saints.

Fantasy Football Headset 2020; Pre-Draft Winners and Losers
Operating through the off season in continued Fantasy Football leagues is tricky because you want to try and make moves but there are still so many things unsettled so it's a guessing game. With the NFL Draft here's a look at the winners and losers in my Dynasty League. (12 team league with two divisions, PPR, 25 man rosters starting this year)
Starting with my team who in four seasons hasn't cracked the playoffs (11th, 7th, 7th, 11th). It was a tanking season for me to try and get an impact back as constant big moves have not paid off. I traded away Devonta Freeman, A.J. Green, David Njoku and Tevin Coleman and traded for Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown, Sony Michel, Curtis Samuel, Rashaad Penny, and earlly this year I acquired Noah Fant.
My team in Dynasty League has been marked by off season moves in the league that have hurt my roster. Green's season was lost, but he was franchised, Freeman still doesn't have a team and Coleman only had a solid month and seems out of the rotation and now Njoku will be behind Austin Hooper. I feel like I definitely got off players before their value cratered. I got Samuel as a throw in which felt like great value but I have Robbie Anderson and now they're on the same team with D.J. Moore and Christian McCaffrey which hurts them both. Penny looked great, especially after the injury to Chris Carson, but we'll see what happens. Henderson and Brown look solid for now and I'm hoping to get a very useable running back. We'll see what happens with Michel but with the big QB change I'm hoping the Patriots find their ground game and I get a solid back.
I grabbed Justin Jackson after the season ended and may be a useable piece. With Jimmy Graham leaving Green Bay Jace Sternberger could be a good back up. Irv Smith played a fair amount for Minnesota as a rookie and now Stefon Diggs is in Buffalo and that could mean more two TE sets for the Vikings. Emmanuel Sanders left San Francisco for New Orleans and wasn't replaced so Deebo Samuel should be the unquestioned number one.
Overall I think I have a solid core and should be able to add an impact back with the second pick as I hope to break the playoff drought. For the first time ever it felt like the off season went my way and a fair amount of my roster, pre-draft, pretty much all got a positive boost. I'm feeling confident for the 2020 fantasy season. (WINNER)
Coin Collusion, championship winner three of the four seasons. Tom Brady moving would seem to be a boost, Cam Newton is still without a team and Teddy Bridgewater and Jarrett Stidham look like starters. Zeke lost his center but will probably still be a fantasy stud, Melvin Gordon will be in a different shared backfield, Leonard Fournette was finally healthy for a season (though could have a regression), James White will probably be a target monster. It looks like a think backfield but he was part of a three team trade that netted him Kenyan Drake he flipped again for the third overall pick and should land a solid RB.
Noah Fant was part of an in season trade which was traded to me, but with Hunter Henry and George Kittle he has probably the best TE position in the league. What will Julian Edelman be without Tom Brady? Meanwhile Mike Evans should see a boost from Brady. Calvin Ridely should see a boost with Hooper gone and the trade of  Mohamed Sanu. Diontae Johnson and Preston Williams look like solid young WR and Fitz is a vet though Hopkins coming to the Cardinals will ding him. (WINNER)
Cluckin Turducken has been a consistent playoff participant. He made a lot of big moves in the season to go for it but they didn't pay off in a championship. Aaron Rodgers is solid but did look to dip as did Jared Goff. Trading for Leveon Bell was solid but he has been out with his head coach. The move for Devonta Freeman looks awful, especially since it cost a 1st round pick. David Johnson, his first pick at the start of the league, looked really bad but may actually bounce back in Houston. Aaron Jones is a stud but it's a thin RB position.
Davante Adams is a stud an unlikely to see his tar gets dip no matter what the Packer do. Tyler Lockett is solid, Hollywood Brown is a good young WR, DJ Chark was the pick up of the season but John Brown will take a hit with Diggs now in Buffalo. Zach Ertz is still a TE stud and we'll see if Tyler Eifert can bounce back. It's not a deep team and the big moves really cratered this off season. (LOSER)
Team Bormann has been the runner up in back to back seasons and has built a team up from an awful start. Grabbing Patrick Mahommes off the waiver wire in his rookie year will be the pick up for the history of the Dynasty League. Also, drafting Josh Allen is a solid back up for a spot that really is only needed for injuries and bye weeks. Travis Kelce is a stud at TE and a great stack with Mahommes. Mike Gesicki should be a solid young backup but Mo Alie-Cox and Delanie Walker don't look like great depth.
He has crushed drafting WR in the past drafts. Amari Cooper and T.Y. Hilton are a solid two and a trade for Mike Williams gives a solid long term third, but drafting Christian Krik, Scary Terry and Hunter Renfrow is good depth along with the Dede Westbrook pick up and Josh Reynolds could be something with Brandin Cooks leaving town. Trading for Emmanuel Sanders didn't get the ultimate results but what a win with him moving to the Saints.
Marlon Mack is the lead back, though he had injury problems, but RB has been a bit of struggle. Having both Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman maybe something but with Melvin Gordon in Colorado that hurts. Darwin Thompson still looks like a big miss of a draft pick but Devin Singletary was a huge get and should slide in to the number two spot. (SLIGHT LOSER)
Limousine Ridaz has been a perennial playoff team but just can't crack the championship game. It's a loaded roster that has managed to come out on the winning side of trades. He stole Russell Wilson in a trade and snagged Matthew Stafford off the waiver wire and should be set there. TE has been a struggle though Jonnu Smith could be a passable piece and so could Blake Jarwin, and Vance McDonald lost his starting gig to Eric Ebron. Missing out on Hayden Hurst definitely could hurt.
He had plenty of depth at RB but has shuffled some of them around. Kenyon Johnson was traded for Mike Thomas, can't argue against getting the best fantasy WR in the game, and Joe Mixon was traded for Keenan Allen. Nick Chubb, James Conner and Chris Carson seemed to be a solid trio but Conner and Carson have injury histories and Kareem Hunt is still in Cleveland. Justice Hill has been earmarked as a sneaky pick up this off season and who knows what's going on with Matt Brieda?
JuJu had a lost season but should be better with Big Ben back, Thomas is a stud, Godwin should continue to be a great fantasy option with Brady throwing the rock and Keenan Allen is a number one. Cooks won't have Brandin Cooks or Todd Gurley around anymore. Keke Coutee is worthless, Tim Patrick and DaeSean Hamilton are expected to be pushed down the depth chart by a draft WR but Allen Lazard looked to have some chemistry with Rodgers. (PUSH)
Catch It Like Beckham is a team that has been solid but hasn't pulled the trigger to break from the middle of the playoff pack. Big Ben is back but has to have a short window. Can Ryan Tannehill continue his magic from last season? Gardner Minshew is solid and young but is he safe? Drew Lock may actually be the answer her as a quiet free agent pick up. Jack Doyle should have his stock uptick with Ebron leaving town, but how much do you buy Cameron Brate. He had one great season and then O. J. Howard came to town and bumped him down. Brady should help but he's still probably the fourth or fifth offensive option. Will Dissly looked like something before suffering a serious injury.
Having McCaffrey will keep the team competitive but you still need more than one RB. Chris Thompson was a great PPR option but broke his league and now doesn't havea  team. Tevin Coleman was added in season but had one month and then seemed to lose his spot in a very crowded 49er backfield. Nyheim Hines is a solid 3rd down back and Jamaal Williams got a boost with the new Packers RB attack, but it's a thin position.
The Browns added another pass catching option in free agency so who knows with OBJ. Adam Thielen will now be the unquestioned number one WR in Minnesota. Golden Tate was solid though is a vet a rebuilding team. Cole Beasley got bumped down the depth chart, Sammy Watkins just avoided being cut, can Alshon Jeffery avoid getting hurt? (LOSER)
Drew Orleans deserves credit for the moves he has made because they've been solid, but they're keeping him from bottoming out. Drew Brees and Kirk Cousins are solid options at QB but trending down in terms of their fantasy production. Daniel Jones was a great value draft pick and at least provides some youth and upside. Evan Engram is expected to be a stud at TE but injuries derailed his last season. Jared Cook has always been solid but his pecking order spot is well established in New Orleans.
What carried this team to competitiveness early was the fantasy RB stud known as Todd Gurley and that derailed quickly. Gurley got a new starting gig quick, but he is trending down. Damien Williams was a great pick up and so was Raheem Mostert, albeit in a crowded San Francisco backfield. A trade was made for Jordan Howard, who is penciled in as a starter in Miami, but it expected the Dolphins will make a RB pick early.
Credit to him for making smart free agent pick ups. Tyler Boyd (though Green isn't leaving town), Devante Parker, Tyrell Williams (though he may lose his number one spot) are solid fantasy WR. Sanu should be better but who knows with Jarvis Landry. Drafting D.K. Metcalf was a big win. (SLIGHT LOSER)
The Nasti Natti is on the other end of the spectrum as they bottomed out and used really good draft picks to go from the cellar to a playoff team. Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook and David Montgomery have been three straight picks to form a solid core to a competitive team. However, that's it at RB despite being probably the best three headed monster. Bottoming out was the key to getting those three RBs but not trading LeSean McCoy was a miss. Austin Hooper loses some value but the last off season trade of before roster cuts for Darren Waller was the steal of the season and just as big a reason for the big jump.
WR has been the position to hold this team back. The in season trade for Green didn't work out but he'll be back in Cincinnati with a better QB. DJax was hurt but could be a solid bounce back, though unlikely a top two WR for any team. Jamison Crowder should still gobble up targets, but Cobb and Stills are on the same team. With DHop traded someone should emerge when Will Fuller also inevitably gets hurt. Is Paul Richardson anything, especially with the emergence of Scary Terry? Matt Ryan is solid and Sam Darnold, though the Jets had a disappointing season, still has promise. (SLIGHT WINNER)
DeShaun of the Dead will be a team to watch in our Dynasty League. She's taking over a team that has the number one pick that's way better than that. The previous owner did trade Mike Thomas for Sterling Shepard and Kenyon Johnson, and that's the number one fantasy WR, but Johnson should pair with Alvin Kamara for a solid starting two. Benny Snell is a solid young piece but clearly not a starter.
Julio Jones is still a stud and Shepard should be a young number one WR. Does Cooks step in as the number one in Houston? John Ross, Anthony Miller and Chris Conley are interesting. Eric Ebron should stay solid with a new home in Pittsburgh but Jimmy Graham, eh. Watson and Kyler Murray should be two stud QBs and possibly even trade bait. (SLIGHT WINNER)
Retired Dustin Kellers is a team that has seemed to make the wrong moves, but also has seen some lucky bounce back at times. Dwayne Haskins was great value as the last pick in the rookie draft but has questions. He overpaid for Baker Mayfield and Jacoby Brissett lost his starting job to Rivers. Derek Carr could still be the starter but comes with questions also. Derrick Henry bounced back after looking lost last season, Miles Sanders was a great draft pick who should be the unquestioned starter and Austin Ekeler proved he can be a fantasy RB stud. Tarik Cohen didn't produce like he did the year before but is a bounce back candidate but Duke Johnson has questions with Johnson coming to the Texans.
Cooper Kupp is a stud in LA and now Cooks is gone. Diggs got a new home and has a big arm QB to throw to him. Mecole Hardman is in the perfect situation and should continue to improve but will Parris Campbell has a lot of questions. KeeSean Johnson seemed like a solid pick but is quite down on the depth chart. O.J. Howard should see a boost with Tom Brady, but Kyle Rudolph looks to be transitioning out (but Diggs being gone helps this season) and David Njoku lost his starting job. (WINNER)
The Un-Dynasty team has been just that. A bad starting draft put the team behind but some questionable trades have kept the rebuilding project rebuilding. Michel, Fournette and Gordon have been traded out and now are replaced with Derrius Guice and...Kalen Ballage. Jaylen Samuels and Ito Smith seem like a solid back ups, but just back ups. Alexander Mattison is interesting but could be a solid long term investment. Despite having the third overall pickit was traded for Kenyan Drake who should be solid this season but has some long term questions. For a rebuilding team it's a questionable move at best.
WR has seemingly gone better. A.J. Brown looked like a great draft pick, but leaves questions for Corey Brown. Will Fuller should see quite the uptick but also a lot more attention with DHop gone. Courtland Sutton is locked in as a number and finally looks to have a QB. N'Keal Harry seemed to have his usage tick up and should get more opportunities on a rebuilding team. James Washington looked like he was going to take a step forward last season but seemed to lose his depth chart spot. Geronimo Allison, Scantling, Dorsett all very meh.
Mark Andrews should continue to be a stud. Dallas Goedert took a step forward last season but is still a back up. It has been a patience game but he's a good back up. Cutting Matthew Stafford has left the team with just Jimmy G, not a top line fantasy option. Nick Foles and Jameis Winston could be interesting but they've locked themselves in to having to draft a QB. (SLIGHT WINNER) Da South 27th Boyz is the worst team in the league and only complicated his issues with a questionable draft last season despite having all seven picks in the top three rounds. Josh Jacobs was a great draft pick and paired well with Mark Ingram, who he stole in a trade. Bryce Love was picked up in a trade and could be interesting but Tony Pollard was a wasted high draft pick. Could Ronald Jones finally live up to his draft stock?
Breshad Perriman is a solid pick up but a problem if he's your best WR. Michael Gallup is a good asset on a rebuilding team, but still on a very likely run heavy team. Darius Slayton was also a good pick up but still likely a flex option at best. Russell Gage is in the same department but Atlanta does throw it a lot. Devin Funchess could be interesting in Green Bay but it will still be a shock if Rodgers trusts anyone besides Adams. With Rivers in Indianapolis Zach Pascal could see an uptick also. Andy Isabella seemed like a solid draft pick but there's a lot of young WR in Arizona and now DHop is there. Jakobi Meyers was a bad draft pick.
T.J Hockenson should be a solid young piece for his team with the vet Greg Olsen and Tyler Higbee. There should be some solid production here for a team looking for answers. Dak Prescott has a very floor but Mitchell Trubisky is almost to junk bond status. (SLIGHT WINNER)
