i always see sensory avoidant autistic people talking about how their favourite foods are all plain carbs but where are the sensory seeking autistics who live on garlic and spicy foods? the ones who will eat a straight lemon and hate buttered noodles.

Ableboded, sometimes shortened to "abled" in conversation specifically about physical disabilities to avoid having to type it out so much, is not a synonym for "not disabled".
You can be autistic and be ablebodied. You can have ADHD and be ablebodied. You can have chronic depression and be ablebodied. You can have any number of mental illnesses and developmental disorders and still be ablebodied.
Being ablebodied does not mean you're not disabled. It just means you're able of body.
You can be disabled and ablebodied.
Ablebodied neurodivergent is not an oxymoron.
Being neurodivergent is not the same thing as being physically disabled.
I could add more to this post but I'm tired. Someone else can elaborate if they want.

'The world traumatized me so i'm an edgy asshole and everything and everyone sucks forever' is not punk, that's nihilism.Punk is 'I had to deal with all that shit growing up and now you're telling me i'm supposed to accept it because it's 'normal'????Absolutely fucking not,i'm a total freak then and i'm gonna make it the problem of anyone in charge of this shit and help everybody like me and never shut up about any of it'

Tone indicators are super helpful for some neurodivergent people, however, some of us really struggle with them.
At its core, tone indicators require an amount of self awareness of emotions. A lot of neurodivergent people, myself included, struggle with alexithymia and labeling our own emotions and tone can be difficult.
I can indicate when I’m telling a joke no problem, but not everything is straightforward. Sometimes I have mixed feelings about things. Sometimes I can’t say exactly what I really mean for my own safety. Sometimes I just don’t know what I mean by something. That’s a part of my neurodivergence. I make an effort with my friends who prefer them, but they also understand that it’s hard for me.
I encourage everyone to check with their neurodivergent friends and just ask them if using tone indicators helps them or is accessible for them!

I hate being in this disability grey space. I'm well enough to work most of the time but that means I can't do anything else in my life. Disabled enough not to be able to keep up with others my age.
I'm constantly in pain and exhausted but well enough to have to push through to keep a job so I can afford to live and afford pain medicine and braces. I just subluxed my hip and am stuck in my wheelchair but I know I can't use my wheelchair at work cause I need my hands free. So, here I sit with a heating pad on my hip, sobbing and begging for the pain meds to help.
Just wish I were either fully abled or disabled enough to get help. Instead I'm stuck here. In the disabled grey space

Sure you say you want to date a punk guy and are always talking about how hot and boyfriend/husband material we are.But would you date a black punk man without being weird about his race or an autistic punk dude without putting him down. Are you including fat and/or physically disabled punks when you talk like that.Do you think you could be a good partner to those of us who're trans,be we femme or butch or inbetween or something else entierly. Are you nice to kids and older folks.Do you want to do activism and fight corruption with us.Would you actually enjoy even just participating in the more lighthearted and 'fun' parts of our culture with us like our music and fashion and inside jokes. You wanna date a punk guy or you want a d*ddy d*m who looks edgy and calls himself a revolutionary with no basis?

Giving nonspeaking kids and kids with difficulty using oral speech access to AAC as soon as possible needs to be normalized.
Of course you want your child to communicate, that's fine, that's GOOD. But oral speech isn't the only way to do that, and refusing to give your child a way to communicate because it isnt the form of communication you favor isn't okay.
Its OKAY if your kid never learns (or relearns) to use oral speech. ITS OKAY.
"But I put them in speech therapy to learn to talk! I don't want them to use that tablet all their life. They need to learn to talk using their mouthparts." Why??
First of all, AAC is proven to actually help people develop language skills and oftentimes oral speech. So any concern about AAC hindering development of oral speech is uncalled for and irrational. But along with that, ORAL SPEECH ISNT THE ONLY GOOD FORM OF COMMUNICATION!! AAC is good. Sign is good. Etc.
Saying otherwise and/or preferring your child to use oral speech IS ableist, and yes, it IS harmful to everyone.

PSA because I can't find any of the other posts about it because I am not fully awake yet and I have a headache now. Intellectually disabled people have been asking for people not to use "mentally disabled" in place of "neurodivergent" or "mentally ill", because that is implicitly implying intellectual disability, and the reason ablebodied neurodivergent people are latching onto it all of a sudden is the same reason they're trying to take over cripplepunk -- they think all disabled people are treated exactly the same, so no one has any privilege over anyone else whatsoever, and they definitely aren't privileged over physically disabled or intellectually disabled people. While they proudly call themselves aspies.
if anyone who proudly calls themselves an "aspie" or says they have apsergers tries to comment on this post or interact in nay way I will fucking block you on sight.

Punk culture is fundamentally misunderstood in fandoms because the most popular modern Atla headcanons are that Zuko would be a teenage dirtbag who's an outcast because he's a rebel against society,Aang would be an everyday boys boy and Katara would be a perfect traditionally feminine prep who's snooty and has no time for 'losers' but in the actual show Zuko's the son of the most politically powerful man alive that he did everything to please with the point of his redemption arc being learning TO rebel for what's right,Aang's a cutesy soft uwu ray of sunshine who only represses his femininity because he's gotten made fun of for it and it hurts his feelings and Katara is an instigator who breaks laws to help out struggling communities, refuses to fit into the box of what femininity is 'supposed to be' to reclaim her girlyness for herself and commits anti-imperialist war crimes nonstop starting at the age of 14

Me saying that ablebodied and/or neurotypicals people forcing disabled and/or neurodiverse people outside in hot summer temperatures is bad:
The ablebodied and/or neurotypicals in the comments: BUT BUT BUUUUT!!
This isn't about you guys!! This is about disabled people. Fuck off and let us speak, go outside and enjoy that lovely sun of yours 😋
