Honestly
I think that the adults Avatar movie that’s going to come in 2025 should completely IGNORE everything that had been said about the original Gaang in LOK:
Toph did NOT become a cop and she definitely didn’t have any children.
I would love to see her lava bending, although that’s not that important.
Sokka definitely DID have children.
You cant tell me that Sokka didn’t want to have his own little mini me’s running around, driving everyone crazy, his own little water tribe/Kyoshi army.

"oh my god zuko in the new poster" "oh my god the thirst for sokka will be—" no. listen to me. you guys are not thinking. the thirst for aang is going to be real. you think people are going to be normal about a twenty-something year old monk who has achieved mastery over the elements and moves as fluidly as the wind? and don't even get me started on the lesbians for katara movement. this is on the horizon

[ The Avatar movie. ]
Toph: So we’re saving the world again?
Katara: Yup.
Toph: Awesome. We’re really gonna be able to rack up our price if we’re two time world savers.
Katara: I can’t believe that is where your mind goes.

Everytime I look at Dev Patel without his facial hair I'm reminded he was apart of The Last Airbender movie and I weep for his IMDB record. He was the best thing to come out of those movies that and the memes.
I just love him

The most frustrating part of The Last Airbender's (2010) world-building is that the Fire Nation can no longer conjure up fire out of thin air.
The whole reason why they were able to colonize essentially the entire world, and their belief that they were inherently superior to every other elemental bender, largely stemmed from the fact that their element was the only one that came from within.
Earth, Air and Water bending all require their respective elements to be in the vicinity.
And yes, Air bending is incredibly powerful and essentially impossible to prevent, seeing as air is everywhere, but all the air benders were monks and pacifists. Their lifestyle, their way of thinking, just doesn't allow for the narcissist mindset that was groomed in the Fire Nation.
The fact that they're able to use fire anywhere, everywhere, at any time, no matter the circumstance, is what allowed them to expand the way that they did.
If they needed an outside source to bend their element, then they'd be automatically the weakest Nation.
All that the rest of the world would need to do is fucking take out any fires in the immediate vicinity, and their problems would be solved?
It is such a stupid change to make, and I've barely seen anyone mention it.

Sorry, one of my favorite reactors is reacting to the 2010 The Last Airbender movie… It’s like a train wreak, I want to look away but I can’t.

Ugh. I’d rather do a lot of things than watch that movie again. Worst ever.

I desperately want to write a whole essay breaking down everything that is wrong with the 2010 ATLA movie adaptation, but I genuinely don't even know where to start.
You know it's bad when you don't even know where to start.
