She's been coming in later on mornings.

all will be forgiven if you cast Manny Jacinto as Syd’s love interest next season 😩. They’d look so hot together.

Maybe he works as a sous chef at a local restaurant specializing in Filipino cuisine; maybe he’s the CDC at Kasama and requests a BOH tour to compliment our girl’s latest dish after seeing her photograph in the Chicago Tribune. Maybe Syd’s taken with him right away because he’s charming, intelligent, devastatingly handsome, and uncomplicated. Maybe he’s simply a breath of fresh air in comparison to Carmy. Maybe she’s been single for years and this man makes her feel beautiful and appreciated and respected. Maybe Carmy takes notice and burns with jealousy, but pretends like he doesn’t know why. Maybe this is what’s needed to wake up him to the fact that Sydney isn’t sitting on the proverbial shelf, waiting for him. Maybe she’s a human fucking being and woman most of all - deserving of a good man in her life.
