Hi, I'm going to open this with I adore Jeff and Barcode! They seem to have a solid friendship. Having, said that I'm still not convinced by their romantic chemistry... and their fan service dynamic is giving me war flash backs. I had a young straight work friend, who I suspect was questioning or curious. She was very touchy/cheeky/flirty with me compared to others (after she found out I was gay) in a way that reminds me of how Barcorde is with Jeff. I dunno I'm definitely projecting, but Jeff seems solid in his identity (whatever that is, not my business) and he gets this careful, slightly tired look sometimes with Barcode that I strongly identify with. Anyway I know Jeff's focus is music anyway, but I just wish they'd paired him with Bible or Us or someone else for Wuju.

Sorry long weird ask, but if you were gonna pick from the KPTS boys, who would you pair Jeff with?

I don't think you're entirely projecting, but I also believe Jeff has specifically and actively made himself a safe space for Barcode to learn about and grow into himself. Jeff seems like a very thoughtful, compassionate, and empathetic person, and given how he's talked about his struggles in the industry before, I'm sure he wants to make a place where Barcode can be safe in his early career projects while also learning about himself. Let's not forget, being 18 kind of sucks, and being 18 in the spotlight -- as we know from the slew of Disney starlets that have ended up the way they have -- is actively detrimental to your mental health.

As for the exploring part, given how hard Jeff has little brother-zoned Barcode, there is a way he's definitely "safe" for Barcode as well. I don't have a problem with straight actors playing queer roles, especially if it makes them more compassionate and empathetic as well. As the brilliant Hikaru Utada has said, it's bad to cast the queer experience as so alienating it's incomprehensible to anyone who's not queer -- and I think Jeff is also a person who is "safe" for Barcode in that way too, if that answer for him is No. Which I think a lot of times the queer community is not as open to as they should be.

Are we also talking about the petting Jeff's leg like a kitty? 🤣 I also had a quick convo about this with @moerusai and @ohyesididnotjustdothat but if the target audience is yourself (read: Barcode's intrusive thought to treat Jeff like a cat) and other people happen to see it, it's not necessarily fanservice so much as... self service that also pleases fans. I mean we don't call the couple in line in front of us at the rollercoaster commiting revolting PDA fan service. They are just doing it because they want to, and we have to see it regardless of it we want to sometimes or not.

A final thought -- I actually agree about the JBC situation a little and think you're onto something, but on the other hand, it's important to be open minded about creating spaces where platonic male friendship -- between queer people who are just friends but especially straight men who are friends -- can physically and emotionally affectionate in a way men in western society are not allowed. This deserves a longer, nuanced essay than this off handed comment, but you know. them's the breaks.

Momo Yaoyorozu Headcanons!

So, here's my take on Momo as a character, same as Ibara's post! These are going to be long because I adore the potential of these characters I'll share my Headcanons for. Some of these change some aspects of the characters but still feel in line with them.

Family Headcanons.

Momo is the only child of the CEO of the Yaoyorozu Support Company, Akira Yaoyorozu. Akira is a very serious man who absolutely adores his wife and daughter and would do anything for them if it was within his power. He's a passionate yet pragmatic man who planned out everything Momo would do and if she didn't go by plan well, he changed them to suit any situation.

Her father's goofy stratagems are sort of played for laughs, while her mother, Haruka, finds her husband's antics tiring. Momo appreciates her father's attempts at preparing her for everything but gently lets her father down easy if they don't go to plan.

Haruka is a very serious career woman who absolutely despises relaxing outside of vacations, keeping her daughter's mind busy and her plans full. Because she had to claw her way to the top.

She wants her daughter to be the best she can be, no matter what. Although she's not up to Endeavor's level of obsessive, she's a little too serious about Momo being the best.

Also, both of her parents LOATHE the concept of Quirk Marriages because their marriage was one. One thing is clear, despite their moments of strictness, Akira and Haruka love Momo and want the best for her.

Personality Headcanons.

Momo is somewhat sheltered but not to the level of Ibara. She's just a little eensy bit unaware of how the lower classes live. Enough to come across as goodnaturedly misunderstanding some things. But she adapts quickly, might be a little too apologetic.

She insists on buying her friends anything they want if they're all out with her on the town. That's one of her love languages too. She may go overboard but it's alright.

She knows how to play the piano, flute, and violin. Even some stranger instruments like the Barcode Scanner and INDUSTRIAL FAN.

She's very self conscious and kind of a nervous girl, but then she's also one of the most passionate and intelligent girls around. Momo is a real sucker for romance movies.

She's a poet, an artist, a musician, and sometimes a Kendo practicioner. It helps with her aggression and sometimes she just sits and draws or plays the piano she had moved into the Heights Alliance common area so everyone can enjoy the music.

With her being more open about her music, Jiro sometimes joins her. Adding guitar accompaniment.

Momo finds her hero costume the hardest to accept. A lot of it isn't practical at all and she can't stand anyone ogling her. Yet Midnight was a big help in making sure Momo was comfortable with it.

By advocating for a costume that covered more but still made use of her quirk, by exposing different parts that weren't as uncomfortable to expose as well as adding some much needed protection.

She absol-freaking-lutely knows how to break people in seven different ways and can devise hundreds more with her quirk.

In short: Don't fuck with Momo Yaoyorozu, she will probably destroy you.

Romance Headcanons!

Whoever her partner is, they lucked out. They hit the jackpot. Momo is so sweet and sincere, and not very shy about how she feels about her partner much at all.

Her love languages are gift giving and words of affirmation. She will lavish her partner with gifts and praise because she wants them to know that no matter what she'll love them, scars warts and blemishes all.

Although she might be a little too passionate. Might be a little too much sometimes but that's because she's never had someone like her partner.

She's so happy.

If she ever gets in a fight with her partner she's the first to apologize and she might be hurt for a while after if her partner refuses to budge on what they're fighting over.

When it comes to PDA, there's hands to be held and cheeks to be kissed. She WILL whisk her partner into a happy, whirling dance that might end with them on the floor with her laughing themselves silly.

Introduction

Junko Tetsuya is the third member of the Koto Division rap battle group, Toxic Love. She is known by her MC name, Iron Heart. The personal assistant to CEO Misa Arakawa. Junko is completely emotionless and is often seen with a blank look on her face. Unbeknownst to everyone except her teammates, Junko in actuality is an android created by Misa. 

Junko has the appearance of a young woman in her late 20s and she is of above-average height with a thin figure. She has silver eyes and straight silver hair that falls to her shoulders that she keeps in a tight bun with bangs framing her eyes.

Personality

Junko appears to be a cold, dignified, serious, and distant person who is known for not expressing much emotion and speaks in a very high-class, eloquent, robotic fashion. She does not engage in idle chatter and is generally reticent towards others. Junko also has high respect for the chain of command and rarely questions her orders, unlike Chizuru. She is always ready to help Misa and is willing to do what she asks. Junko also is well-informed and logical due to her status as an android. Junko surprisingly does have a sense of humor often responding back to Chizuru's quips with her own.
