Summary: The first Christmas with your boyfriends is sure to be perfect

Warnings: Christmas themed. Just putting that out there in case you don't celebrate Christmas or if you're reading this in June. So merry Christmas or happy holidays or happy random day of the week!

You had an odd relationship. Not odd in the sense that you had two boyfriends, rather than one, but odd in the sense that one of your boyfriends was a vampire and the other an archangel. But you wouldn’t have it any other way. You loved Benny, you loved Gabriel. They loved each other, and they loved you. There was a lot of love in the home you shared, although there was also a lot of sass to go with it.

This year would be the first Christmas the three of you had spent together, and it was going to be perfect.

“Benny's back!” You cried with glee, leaping from the sofa.

“Took him long enough,” Gabriel said. “How hard is it to find a tree in the forest?”

You stood and walked to the door of your cottage. It was difficult to call your home a cottage, seeing as it was so big. It had three floors, an outdoor pool, and a garden, all courtesy of Gabriel. It was in the middle of the woods, secluded from people and warded against evil. The home was perfect for an archangel, a vampire, and a human.

A small gust of wind blew in some snow as you opened the door for Benny. The snow covered vampire had a rope in his hands, slung over his shoulder. Tied to the end was a tall pine tree.

“Sorry I made ya wait,” Benny apologized. “Had to find the perfect one. Only the  best for my favourite people.”

You watched as he dragged the tree in like it weighed nothing. “It's alright. Thanks again, bear.”

“Anytime.” Benny replied, planting a kiss on your forehead, his beard tickling your skin.

“Hey! I want a kiss!” Gabriel piped up.

Benny dropped the rope and strolled over to where the angel was sitting. He cupped his hands around Gabriel's cheeks and kissed the caramel haired man.

“GAH!” Gabriel yelled when Lafitte pulled away. “Cold hands! Cold hands!”

Benny laughed and you joined in as Gabriel pouted.

“Set it up for me an’ I'll get myself warmed up.” Benny chuckled.

Gabriel sat up and with a snap of his fingers the tree stood in the middle of the living room, green branches spreading wide, a pine scent wafting through the air. It was the perfect tree.

As your vampiric boyfriend took off and put away his winter gear, you searched through a closet in the hallway. You pulled down a couple boxes filled with lights and ornaments and set them aside for later.

“You two do know I can just decorate the tree like-” Gabriel snapped his fingers as a demonstration.

“Yes, but it's more fun this way.” You replied. “And if you help out, I'll let you have some of the candy canes I bought.”

Gabriel's amber eyes lit up. “Deal.”

“We decoratin’ now?” Benny asked, his coat now hanging on a hook. He wore a plain grey shirt that hugged his muscular form, a sight both you and Gabriel could appreciate.

“In a bit. Gabe and I thought we could make some cookies first, and decorate the tree while they were in the oven.” You suggested.

“Gingerbread?” Benny asked.

Gabriel rolled his eyes. “Well duh. There’s a set list of things we have to do during the holidays.”

You laughed. “Are you a holiday expert?”

The archangel placed a hand over his heart in mock offence. “Do you know me at all? I was there for the first Christmas. Numero uno. The original. So yeah, I’m a holiday expert.”

Gabriel snapped his fingers and his outfit changed. He wore a white sweater with the words “holiday expert” knitted into the front. There was a pattern of golden wings as well as candy canes, gingerbread men, and christmas trees. It was an ugly Christmas sweater to end all ugly Christmas sweaters. Gabriel grinned and did a little spin to show it off.

“Well, Holiday Expert. We gon’ talk all day or do some baking?” Benny asked, his arms crossed against his chest.

“Way ahead of you two.” Gabriel grinned. Within a second he was in the kitchen, an ugly christmas apron on top of his ugly christmas sweater. “Let’s get started.”

Baking was a group thing in your household. Something always seemed to be in the oven. Benny worked as a chef in a diner and seemed to have a natural talent for cooking. Gabriel prefered the sweet stuff, and would rather eat than cook, but he had a few thousand years worth of recipes in his head. As for you, it was a way to relieve stress, though it was always more fun to do it with both your boyfriends.

Benny preheated the oven while you got everything you needed out. Gabriel mixed together the dry ingredients. He started to hum a tune, and you picked up the song.

“Have a holly, jolly Christmas,” You sang, turning off the mixer once the butter was evenly mixed with sugar. “It’s the best time of the year.”

“I dunno if there’ll be snow, but have an ice cold beer!” Gabriel echoed, adding his own little twist to the song.

“Have a holly, Jolly Christmas, and when you walk down the street,” Benny continued. “Say hello t’ friends y’know an’ ya meet,”

“Hey ho the mistletoe, hung where you can see.” Gabriel sang, sauntering closer to you.

You laughed as he wrapped his flour covered arms around your waist. “Somebody waits for you-”

“Kiss ‘em once for me.” Benny finished. He kissed the top of your head as Gabriel kissed your cheek.

As the three of you baked, the impromptu caroling continued. Soon enough, you’d run through a few songs and had put the cookies in the oven. Gabriel snapped his fingers and the kitchen was clean in an instant.

Then it was time to decorate the tree. You started with the string of lights. Some were colourful, some were plain white. All would look beautiful when plugged in later.

You draped a silver garland around Gabriel's neck like a feather boa. “You're supposed to decorate the tree, sugar. Not me.” He teased.

“I can't help it if I'm feeling extra festive.”

Soon the three of you were hanging decorations from the branches and singing songs, Gabriel making up new lyrics to each one.

“Hey, Benny. What do you get when you cross a vampire and a snowman?” Gabriel asked, hanging another candy cane on the tree.

“I don't know,” Benny replied, knowing what he was walking into. “What do you get, Gabriel?”

“Frostbite!” The archangel cackled. Benny threw a candy cane at his boyfriend. “What? You love my jokes!” Gabriel laughed. Benny rolled his eyes and tried to hide a smile. It was moments like these that reminded you how much you loved them.

Soon enough the tree was decorated and shining brightly. You stood back with your hands on your hips and admired your work.

“What do you think, big guy?” Gabriel asked, looking over to Benny.

The vampire looked up at the tree and frowned. “Well, chère, I think it’s missin’ something.” Benny turned to you, a slight gleam in his blue eyes. “What do you think, sug?”

“What do you mean?” You asked.

“All it needs is something on top,” Benny answered. He walked over to Gabriel and scooped Gabe up in his arms. “Like an angel.”

“Wh- hey!” Gabriel protested. “Put me down, Lafitte!”

“He’ll bring down the wrath of Heaven upon you!” You laughed. “Come on, bear. Let the guy down.”

“Oh I’ll let him down.” Benny chuckled. He raced to your bedroom and tossed Gabriel onto the bed.

You followed the two of them, laughing the whole time. All of a sudden, an arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you down.

“Gabe!” You laughed, moving closer to the angel. You rested your chin on his shoulder and wrapped your arm around him. He smelled like peppermint. Gabriel hummed, enjoying being the little spoon.

You turned your head slightly and looked up at Benny. “Come on, you know you want to.” The vampire smiled and climbed into bed. You lay there, sandwiched between Benny and Gabriel. This was the best Christmas ever. You wouldn’t want it any other way.
