It’s no thanksgiving dinner or grand potluck in these times, practically cans of chili and squirrel at Daryl’s behest—but it brings everyone around the fire with smiles that can make you forget the whole damn world.
It was near impossible to keep her focus at the task at hand—Shane on fish duty as the near smell made her stomach churn like one of those fairground centrifuge rides that broke every building code known to man. No, she focused on the vegetables, clean, cut and sliced. Bare feet stammer across what is now warm vinyl. The Georgia sun is finally rearing its head with army of every insect known to man at its disposal. Oh, how they would’ve liked to disappear into the earth for winter, burrowed in dark isolation built in a nest of minerals and dirt only to be drawn back by the lure of the sun. They weren’t so lucky, but they made due and got by—it takes a village, right?
The proof sits in the lap of her brother, passed out in a lawn chair just outside of the kitchen window. A miracle amidst desolation and dread—her sun. Her son. Roan wasn’t even one yet, just a small thing, growing each day into the sum of hopes and dreams. He was a dream come true for the Walsh couple, a glimpse of a future in spite of death and decay. They never thought that there could be second wave of such gratitude despite how easily the process comes to the two of them.

“Well—there’s a little white and pink stick with a pretty clear plus sign on it hidden deep in my suitcase. Not that you can trust those things much nowadays.” She smirks with a growing smile. A secret ask for the same damn things she asked eighteen months ago after discovering her period was late this month. “Now when in the hell was the last time I baked anything, baby, baker or not. And Dale’s oven don’t even work!” Her smirking smile begins to ease into fits of giggling laughter. It seemed cute at the time, bun in the oven—simply put and all—but this reaction made it all the better.
“There’s something in there alright.” Tears begin to fall as her palm runs down the scruff at the jaw, tracing her favorite features. “Think we’re, uh, getting pretty good at making buns, huh? Banking this batch will be just as good as the first one. Think you could be okay with that?” His reaction at his knees seemed quite obvious but she just wanted to hear it all aloud. They’re family becoming five of them.
Tears down Eloise's cheeks, that was all that it took for Shane, too, to begin his cries of joy. Drops of crystal that gathered within his eyes, past the scars and scruff of his very face, the result of his happiness. Kisses to the hand that caressed his jawline so sweetly - Shane's mouth determined to adore Eloise's skin there - unable to resist. A second child conceived, the news was the best that both mother and father could've received. A bright light that illuminated and dispelled the darkness that surrounded them daily; just the miracle that was needed to ease their lonely spirits. A baby to be born, two children under the age of three was fast. Sudden, for in many ways Shane and his Eloise had only just begun, unexpected. But never could he have asked for better. A family for Shane to call his own, all that could ever be wished for had within that moment in Dale's RV, inside of the camp's boarders. What he always wanted - never to let go.

An entire community of people just as eager for his arrival, their worries and fears soon faded once they met the baby boy. Eloise's pains soothed by the warmth of her dearest son's touch - her cries and screams of agony as she birthed her baby were a most torturous song - a sacrifice made for the sake of motherhood. For the sake of her son, her husband, an ordeal that she would suffer through once more for the man that she loved. A most unselfish woman, Shane pressed a firm kiss to her belly once more. As if the lingering of his lips upon her clothed skin would comfort her during pains yet to come, would numb all the hurt as she brought another child into the world. A son or daughter who would only know of love from she.
Rising from his knees, Shane stole Eloise's lips in a passionate kiss. Held her face between his hands, warmed her cheeks with the touch of his palms to her skin. Overwhelmed with both the announcement of her pregnancy and the love that he had for her, that bloomed like a bud in the dawn of spring, Shane allowed for one last cascade of tears to paint his visage. A window to the soul so clearly seen, then; unhidden and unsheltered by the more roughened sex. They were to have a baby. There was so much left to do. More clothes, more bottles and formula, more space in their makeshift home. So much left, but every moment until that time too far away, couldn't have come sooner, Shane's face practically glowed in impatience. Anxious to see and to know - would the baby look more like he or his beloved - voracious to have what they worked so hard for. What took a blissful afternoon to create, hot and sticky bodies moving as one, hungry mouths swallowing moans whole just as much as heated kisses. Shane was ready.
"Oh, darlin', I'm more than okay with that." Shane answered, laughing, stealing yet another kiss from Eloise. "We are pretty good at it, aren't we? We sure do make ourselves some beautiful babies. Jess is gonna be excited to find out, you know. You didn't tell him yet, did you? Probably best to surprise both him and Bubba. Bubba won't get it at first, obviously, but I get the feelin' that he has the makings for bein' a good big brother. Little man's already such a sweetheart. Gets it from you. That, and his bratty pout. You been teachin' him that, haven't you, El?"

NIBRT is a two-floor greenfield facility designed as a medium-scale bioprocessing plant. The entire facility is built over an area of 6,500m2 (69,965ft2). It includes seven research laboratories, a bioprocessing pilot plant and training and office facilities.
The bioprocess-simulated GMP pilot plant, located on the upper level, is the main attraction of the facility. It is provided with a range of upstream, downstream, fill and finish and associated analytical facilities. Both the downstream and upstream pilot plants are operated under GMP conditions.
The downstream plant houses integrity testing stations and an instrumentation rig. This pilot plant is also provided with two UF/DF skids, two chromatography skids, a column packing skid and pH viral inactivation tubes.
The upstream pilot plant facility includes an inoculum preparation laboratory, shake flasks and two wave reactor trains, four bioreactors with support vessels, vessels for batch and fed-batch fermentations, utilities for single-use bioreactors up to 1,000l and microfiltration and centrifuge system for cell harvesting and culture clarification to remove cell residues.
The fill-finish suite is also located on the upper floor. It is equipped with a Watson-Marlow Flexicon pilot-scale filling machine with restricted-access barrier systems (RABS). On the same level there are two dedicated training rooms (one on the ground floor), with a combined seating capacity of up to 100 people. It is equipped with a data projector and drop-down screen. A power amplifier is made available for larger assemblages.
Ground floor facilities in the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training
The ground floor houses downstream processing labs, a molecular biology lab, utilities room, glycobiology research laboratory, training rooms, a cafe and a shared services area that is the heart of the ground floor. A space of 450m2 (4,843ft2) has been reserved for future labs, which can be developed and installed as per client requirements.

The downstream laboratory is built over an area of 170m2 (1,830ft2) and includes a 20m2 (215ft2) walk-in cold room, featuring double refrigeration units and alarms. The molecular biology laboratory is built over 165m2 (1,776ft2). It is divided into three rooms, where two rooms are fully equipped for cell culture operation and the third room is used as a general laboratory.
All the essential utilities such as the steam boiler, compressed air and bio-waste deactivation services are put up in the utilities plant room.
The atrium, which joins the administrative room / classroom with laboratory / process area, is furnished with polished natural concrete floor and covered with a glass roof.
