Red Robin (bloody hands): Yeah... Kind of blacked out.

Batman: How?

Harley Quinn standing to the side.

Harley: Bane brought up the kids dead parents he was unaware they died and... you evah seen a raccoon with rabies? Yeah he became that and took him down.

Red Robin: Oh, that's right, that did happen. Robin chuckles nervously.

Batman: What did he say?

Harley shakes her head to end the conversation. Red Robin's left eye twitches.

Batman: Um... You don't have to answer. Good job Robin.

Red Robin (perking up): Thank you, Batman. I'm going to wash my hands.

Red Robin leaves, Harley gives him a supportive smile. When he's gone she walks to over to Bruce.

Harley: How did his mom and dad die? Because boy howdy his reaction was ... Intense and I know your history.

Batman: Long story, but it's a trigger for him. Seriously what did Bane say about his parents?

Harley: A lot of creepy things he'd do to his mother mostly. Like he wouldn't let up.

Batman: So completely deserved? Cool.

imagine the brooding, intimidating Batman fighting criminals in the street when he hears this special ringtone in the comms and they're for specific people: his grandkids.

he has to hide in the shadows and goes Grandpa mode, clears his throat and coos lovingly to the comms to talk them.

Nightwing: Oh, he's cooing again.

Red Hood: Lian must have called and asked for more fruit loops.

Spoiler: B's doing that baby voice again, it's kinda creepy.

Red Robin: My baby must have dialed, he likes his grandpa's voice.

The rest of the batkids: WHAT BABY?????

Superboy: Our baby.

the batkids curse in different languages, confused and shocked.

when some of the rogues or criminals hear Batman in his Grandpa mode, they think he's gone soft.

nope. he's more determined, more restless, more protective, so he won't stop unless they're in Akrham or in jail.

but it's worth it when he comes home to little kids, who are excited to see him.

the batfamily would NOT be on social media at all realistically, but of course tim loooooves photography, so i think he'd be a super dedicated scrapbook-mom type instead. (to compensate for the incredible instagram posts he WOULD make)

like, he's got books for each of his friends, one for each family member, and multiple for pictures of parts of the family and all of them together (although rare). he even has separate books for people in-costume and out-of-costume.

every christmas + birthday he recieves a loooooot of scrapbooking materials, he has draws of washi tape and stickers in his room.

he definitely tries his best to match the themes of the pages to the people in them too, and not one book has the same feel to it. he always writes very sincere little captions under the pictures as well. if he wasn't so attached to the books, he'd give them as gifts.

Batfamily and Chronicles of Narnia AU

Dick Jason Tim and Damian

Dick as Peter. Finding himself and siblings being thrown into this unknown world with talking british animals and this fake ahh Grover from Percy Jackson puts him in eldest sibling mode as soon as their feet hit the snow.

Jason as pessimistic oldest sister Susan is just chef kisses 🤌🏽. He would pretend he’s not impressed and filled with childlike wonder for the land of Narnia. Acting like he’s not the same kid that was all, “Robin is magic ✨”

Aslan would be bestowing great words of wisdom and encouragement to each sibling before going into battle. Just for Jason to go “Bro think he Alfred or something 🤨?? Smh..” after his turn.

(Also Jason’s big ole tank self having to crouched down and hunch over in the Beaver couple’s house makes this even better)

And so by default ..Tim is Edmund. I feel like instead of Tim being manipulated by the Winter Witch with gifts and such, he’d be trying to play double agent on her.

Making it seem like he’s just a dumb kid who will play into her hand while secretly gathering intel for himself, and later on for the Narnia revolution. Tim still being Tim by making his questionable decisions and sacrifices but, in the name of the greater good.

Damian being the equivalent to Lucy is hilarious. Damian would love talking to the animals. He’d love having tea with Mr.Tumnus, traveling with the Beaver Couple, and most of all Aslan. Riding on Aslan’s back would his highlight of the whole journey. Aslan’s death would hit hard for all the boys but, Damian the most.

Honestly if the plot allowed i’d want the WHOLE batfam here. They’d have the whole eternal winter and wicked queen thing wrapped up in a day or two.

Also I’d like to considering putting Cass in the place of Damian as Lucy from a chronological (She was introduced into the fam before him) pov.

Like Cass getting a healing potion and tiniest knife, in the Santa Claus scene. Receiving the least deadly present out of all their gifts while she, herself being the most deadly out of all the siblings would be just 🤌🏽

Kane Chronicles and DC crossover where Carter and Sadie have to deal with something magic related in Gotham and end being arrested for loitering in a graveyard.

They try to call Amos but he ends up being deemed an unfit guardian of the siblings due to mental illness, Bast doesn’t have a legal identity so she can’t take them resulting in the Kane siblings ending up in foster care.

Bruce is slightly worried about why these kids were just hanging out in a grave yard and talking about demons so he decides to foster them just in case they were in a cult as the evidence seems to suggest.

All this leading to shenanigans revolving around the bats trying (and failing) to keep their identities hidden, the Kane siblings trying to run the house of life and get out of foster care while dealing with the magical threat.

I like the idea that somewhere in the mess of Dick's home is a scrapbook from his Robin days with that photo booth strip of Babs and him on the very first page.

Scarecrow (British accent): Hey, kid you've been breathing in my fear toxin for a few minutes. I usually relish this, but you're not even screaming or crying. Red Robin (Tim): My dad just died and ... I have accepted that life is meaningless. I have nothing to fear because what's to fear when you give up on life? Scarecrow: Deep depression from the loss of a parent is typical. This sadness will pass with time. Robin: There's no passing... I feel nothing. There's no joy in anything, being happy... the moments with your parents. Batman walks over to Red Robin and puts a mask on his face then turns him away to walk to the car. Batman: You can sit this one out, okay? You're going through a lot and I don't want you to go insane from the toxin. Red Robin: Okay. I'll sit in the car and wait for the seconds to tick... tick ... tick. Red Robin walks away. Scarecrow: Hey, kid I may be clinically insane, but don't give up on life. It'll get easier. Red Robin waves his hand faintly while walking to the car. Scarecrow: You're going to give him the usual antidote, right?

Batman (nodding): Yeah, sorry about that, he's usually... not acting like me on a bad day. Scarecrow: I heard his dad called him before he got killed. Hilarious to me, but I imagine a normal person would be shell shocked after it all settles in. I'm guessing he masks in front of others as a defense mechanism? Batman: Yeah, he masks it well with his friends, but then when he's with me... that happens and I can't handle it. Scarecrow (crossing his arms): He's continuing to fight crime with you which is admirable. Working is better than laying around all day. Grief can hinder progress in life, so you just have to keep moving. Batman: Right... I forget you were a professor of psychology before you went insane. Can I just take you down and arrest you early? Scarecrow: Yeah, sure mate. I saw a young man who is reeling from his father's death and that's satisfying enough for me. Batman glares at the man and punches him unconcious. Batman: You had to make it weird.

Gothamite 1: Mr. Wayne looks more tired than usual.

Gothamite 2: Must be women problems.

Gothamite 3: I heard Wayne Enterprises is going bankrupt.

Gothamite 4: He must be really sick cus he has that Timothy boy doing the work for him. Although, that kid has been gone for quite some time now.

Gothamite 5: I heard he's gay and working at a club at night.

meanwhile, Bruce is just trying to balance life as Batman and as a father while dealing with his de-aged kids.

he knew he shouldn't have brought them with him on the mission.

Young Dick, tugging a toy: I'm going to kick you in the butt if you don't give me that stuffed toy back!

Young Tim, balancing an energy drink with one hand while pulling the toy from Dick on the other: You're so selfish, Dick! It's my turn!

Young Jason: *reading a book outloud by the corner just to annoy everyone else*

Young Cass: *on the floor, trying to balance her waffles on the table, with syrup all over the area*

the whole place is littered with fruit loops and cookies, milk splattered on the floor, the curtains are torn, dirty footprints are on the couches, a cape from one of their Robin suits is hanging on the chandelier, and the flat screen is damaged.

Steph: Ooof, it's bad, B.

Damian: Tt. Is Zatara even in this planet right now, Father?

Bruce, pinches the bridge of his nose: I think she's off world right now.

Duke: I'm more worried when Alf comes back from vacation and he sees this whole mess.

Bruce: I--

then they all hurriedly move to the children when they start to tackle themselves on the floor.
