Mev could definitely wield a sword that big like it was normal. Idk if you've ever seen it before, but you should google Frostmourne, the Lich King's sword from Warcraft. It has some elements similar to the flamberge/zweihander you're talking about, but also elements in common with Conan's father's sword (the huge animal skull specifically) and the design you scribbled up. It has more of a longsword/normal size profile to it, though. It might give you ideas.

Oh, I like the design! I feel like it's a little too high fantasy for SP tbh. Style-wise I would go for stylised realistic designs with a lot of gothic and general grimyness mixed into it.

I really love the darker middle part tho with the runes engraved into it. I totally headcanon the Godkiller sword having those too, tho I'm not sure whether it's bc of the Ancients or bc of Mev considering that Mev canonly has sigils sown into his cloak. Mev 100% carved the Faceless Symbol into it tho, kinda reclaiming it for his Gods, ya know?

Don't really want to get ideas tbh. Since DoA this series has slipped from 'unrealised potential' to 'unsalvageable' to me, so designing stuff for it ain't really worth the effort. And designing stuff is so much harder than just drawing.

Yeah, a flamberge is a zweihander. Zweihander just means the sword is held with both hands. The term is German and roughly translates into 'handled by two hands'. Flamberge refers to the shape of the blade being flame like.

Oh, I didn't know about the vibration thing. That's neat! Sounds like something Nef would use tbh, especially since Flamberges apparently also exist in rapier form? And it doesn't only have the vibration thing going for it but that typ of blade is also supposed to leave pretty nasty wounds :3c
