Hi! So this is my first post on tumblr, and from what I’ve seen from beginner artists posting their art on TikTok, I hope this is a better experience! This fanart is quite old tho so I’m thinking of re-doing it! And if you have any cool tips or tricks for digital art I would love it, thank you!! (Btw for the people who don’t understand why Sokka’s hair is white, this is the Moon spirit sokka au! And Sokka’s Inuk tattoos aren’t apart of the design most people use I just really liked the idea of prince Sokka with Inuk tattoos)

starting 2023 with some leg warmers (that I technically knit in 2022- dec 31st) and some early 2010s-inspired magazine graphic design

hadn't designed anything for a while, but I took these photos and they gave me magazine vibes (is that a thing?), so I decided to go with my more elaborate idea over what I usually do -which is just filling the negative space with random doodles-, and now I don't think I can ever NOT edit all my photos like this.

also, don't know if you've noticed :) but I changed the color palette I use for these (and profile in general). put a bit more thought into it (though still mostly went with colors I liked that look good together), and I'm happier and more comfortable with these than I was with the old ones.

now, about the leg warmers:

they were made following this pattern, on circular needles.

I'm sure you'll notice these don't look like the ones from the pattern, and that's because I refuse to do a gauge swatch before starting new projects (a need for instant gratification :/), so I kind of just winged it with the amount of stitches I casted on (which you'll probably realize were a few too many).

I decided that I would finish these because maybe they would convince me to do a gauge swatch next time I made something -anything - (they did not); but they look surprisingly good when I wear them :)

I don't remember the yarn weight or the needle sizes I used to make them, so you should probably go with the pattern recommendations
