What if OFMD were about two women

What if all of these Tumblr darling shows were about women with sapphic romance or sexual tension. Cis women, trans women, women of various ages and races and classes and abilities

What if genre media about queer women got the same love from its showrunners and from fans alike that genre shows about M/M couples get now. What if that trend hadn’t briefly flared into glorious light in the 2010s and then died again

mom avoids dead anime mom curse because he transitions. he’s always had a complicated relationship with pregnancy because of how woefully little people are told about potential complications and aftercare, and also because of how gendered it is, so after the birth of his second child he’s finally had it and decides to transition

he joins a local community group for mothers and at first it’s played for laughs how often they fall to the dead mom curse, but soon we find out more about how society has failed mothers and people who give birth, from information being withheld, procedures being carried out without consent, lack of accommodations and maternal and paternal leave, racism…

it also turns out that becoming a man doesn’t help with this, not really, because being a pregnant trans man brings its own problems. follow along as he learns more about being a parent and a mother, and maybe even… finding love???

anyway Dr. WD Gaster being a soft and kind soul makes his character infinitely more interesting to me than him being evil or even just kinda mean. like his passion for his craft lies not in fucked up experiments, but in a genuine love for learning and the opportunity to teach others and do good by his people. he's definitely strange (all scientists are) and kinda intimidating but he's literally the most thoughtful and considerate person ever it's just a little bit hard to tell because of the way he speaks does anyone HEAR me. he's one of the few characters that WOULDN'T benefit from the mad scientist trope.

#hes just a nice old man to me. he LOVES his job and his friends and his people so so so much #and loving the world around you so much that you want to know everything about it is all science is really #he just speaks so matter-of-factly that its hard to find all of that emotion in his words #but the emotion isnt IN his words. its in the pauses in-between #its in the beat of quiet in the middle of his sentences; where he searches for the exact words to describe what hes thinking or feeling #because every experience is worth that much effort. no single thing is insignificant enough to be mindlessly approximated and forgotten.#its in the moment of silence after the player gives up. accepting your choice as it is --#-- but holding you on a dark screen just a moment longer to mourn a world lost to darkness #we always talk about “very very interesting” being one of his calling cards. but “wonderful” is one of his favorites as well.#undertale #deltarune #utdr #wd gaster #dr gaster #gaster #gaster undertale #gaster deltarune #wingdings gaster

currently on ep 2 of the My Lady Jane show and how is EVERYTHINGGGG a glow down. they took every dramatic or funny scene in the book and made it into a regularly paced infodump or horny bait. why are Ethianism no longer protestant and instead just a regular oppressed fantasy animal race. where is my quid pro quo scene of Jane and Edward discussing why G would be a bad husband. where is G getting insanely drunk at the wedding and immediately after transforming, getting stuck in the bedroom for the entire day, while Jane still tries to talk to him regardless. why is Pet the only naked one. they made me look at G's bare ass

#also i don't think g is named g at all he has yet to correct a single person #idk i liked how no one calls him g bc it's stupid so it's nice when he gains friends so they call him that #so far not a single plot point is the same as in the book... the pacing is soooo off... y is this happening #i do have to say that edward and g's actors have their moments of being charming. i like some of jane's expressions too. but that's all the #praise i can give and it's more the actors' interpretation than the script (bc the script SUCKS)#tlj liveblog

I'm noticing that this is a man who likes to play funky little guys whose idea of true happiness is hanging out with their best friend/true love (sometimes they're the same person!) and having nice meals together forever.
