SPARROW!BEN X UMBRELLA! READER
A/N: English isn't my first language sorry If I made any mistake :)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
BEN WAS DRUNK, TOO DRUNK.
You held him up preventing him from falling when he tried to get more shrimp from the food bar.
"Wow, calm down Ben" you murmured, amused to see him so... relaxed. Ben clung to your body, wrapping his arms around your waist as he lifted his face as he grinned foolishly at you.
"Hey doll " you looked at him impressed, not only he had stopped acting like an idiot but he was flirting with you.
"You need to rest Ben" you mumbled stroking his hair with your hand, it was an old habit you had, he seemed to like the attention so he hidden his face in your neck.
"Do you also like the other Ben more than me?" there it was, his traumas came to light, you placed your hand on his back comforting him.
"Come on Ben, stop comparing yourself, I'm sure that if we had more time to really get to know you, we would surely end up loving you" you whispered, Ben pulled his head out of your neck to look at you.
"even you could love me?" you smiled, this Ben only wanted affection.
"Ben, I would be the first to love you" you assured making him smile pleased, Ben kissed your cheek without letting you go.
"You would also be the first person I would love first Y/N"

Loud footsteps made you all slowly turn. Still half confused about the sudden change in interior. Your eyes widened at the sight of him at the upper level. – “Ben!” – you exclaimed happily. The Ben at the top grabbed the railing, jumping over it as he landed firm on his feet. He slowly rose while you were gaping in awe at him. – “Ben!” – Klaus said loudly, opening his arms to go and hug him. Ben pulled his nose up, slapping his arms away. – “You are trespassing hobo.” – he commented in detest.
Klaus pressed his hand to his heart, shocked. – “You hurt my feelings Ben.”  - Klaus said making Ben scoff. – “A matter of fact… you all are.” – Ben continued, tugging his hand in his pocket. – “What’s with the uniform?” – Five questioned. It was only now that you all noticed it. The change of color and emblem on his uniform. – “You wouldn’t get it schoolboy.” – Ben responded. Five clenched his jaw, ready to jump at him if Luther hadn’t held him back.
Your eyes widened seeing more people appear on the upper level. – “Need any help brother?” – a girl spoke. Ben held his hand up. – “I can handle these…” – his gaze went obviously up and down cocky over your posture. – “Children.” – he addressed glancing at Five. Five gritted his teeth as you held him back by his shoulder.
“We aren’t trespassing this is our home!” – Luther called out. – “We are the Umbrella academy.” – he said looking at his siblings to back him up. – “You are dead.” – he added pointing at Ben. Ben scoffed loud. – “Clearly I’m not!” – he said. – “And this is the Sparrow academy.” – he explained as his siblings came downstairs. – “Sparrow?” – Diego whispered out, looking at Victor. Victor shrugged his shoulders. You stepped forwards making Ben glance intrigued at what you might say.
“Maybe this is all kind of messed up. I mean we did just time-jump back here.” – you concluded. – “But that man…” – you pointed at the portrait of Reginald. – “Is our father.” – you finished. Ben chuckled, eying you up and down. – “Oh right! Time-jump well maybe father saw how useless you all are and decided he needed to adopt other children. Children who wouldn’t be so worthless.” – he pushed you back by your forehead.
You stumbled back as Diego caught you before you could trip. – “Sparrow Ben is a dick!” – you told him seeing him nod. Clearly this Ben wasn’t like the Ben you knew. The Ben you grew up with. Ben glanced over his shoulder to his siblings by his side. – “Let’s show them out.” – he smirked, expression hardening on you. – “That one’s mine.” – he grunted out. You swallowed nervously slowly backing up.
Ben moved his body as his tentacle arms shot out. You screamed loud when they lurched towards you. You quickly dove under the coffee table as a tentacle missed you. Eyes widened when the table got lifted up. Ben tilting his head murderously enjoyable at you. – “Gotcha!” – he laughed out. You shrieked moving your hands up to block his next attack. Ben smiled greedily when he forced his tentacles down to you. You gasped hard when your brother Five popped up near you, knelt down.
In a split second he had his arms around you, teleporting with you. Ben’s tentacles went down, grabbing thin air as it made him glare. You re-appeared in the hallway, gasping loud. – “Definitely not our Ben.” – you breathed out. Five held his finger up telling you to wait while he teleported again. – “Umbrella girl.” – you heard Ben call out tauntingly. – “Come out and play.” – he went on making you tense your jaw. So not your Ben.
You left your hiding place, spotting Diego throwing knives coming into the hallway backwards. He nearly bumped into you, ready to throw knives at you. – “Watch me sis, I got knives!” – he scolded you. Diego and you backed up when Ben came in the hallway. – “There you are!” – he said as you were standing behind your brother, hand on his shoulder.
Your eyes falling on the knife he was holding. – “I’ll take that.” – you told Diego, plucking the knife from him. – “Wha…?” – before he could be more visibly confused, you threw the knife at Ben. It scraped his arm, sliding his vest a bit open. The knife clattered to the ground as you smiled embarrassed at him. Ben grunted looking at his torn vest. Diego gave you a brotherly slap against the back of your head. – “Don’t touch my knives.” – he called out. – “Diego not the right time.” – you told him between a held up smile. – “No Y/n I already told you; you don’t touch my knives.” – he continued holding his finger up.
Meanwhile Ben cracked his knuckles readying himself to attack you with his tentacles again. – “Diego Run!” – you shouted, pulling him with you by his vest. His eyes widened seeing the tentacles speeding his way. Diego quickened his pace, taking the front as he was dragging you along now. You made it outside just in time. Out of breath you encountered Klaus sitting on the porch. – “Oh there you are I was starting to wonder if any of you were going to show up.” – he casually said making Diego nudge his legs to get up.
Not a moment later busted Allison, Luther, and Victor out. Five teleported a second later, adjusting his vest. – “Now this is a major issue.” – he said stroking his hand over the back of his head. – “You think!” – Allison blurted out. She scoffed loud taking a walk. Luther going after her which led to Victor following to Diego and Klaus following. You motioned to Five with your head to come along. He nodded giving you a weary smile.
*
Ben clicked his tongue hatefully at you. You rolled your eyes at him. – “Is Luther here? I know you have him so don’t even try to lie to me.” – you called out, letting yourself in the Sparrow Academy without approval of him. Ben scoffed, grabbing you by your wrist to a stop. – “Listen princess, what if we have him?” – Ben said as you pulled your hand out of his grip. – “Maybe he finally has seen how much more potential this family has considered against yours.” – he mocked, knowing it would taunt you.
You tensed your jaw, glaring at him. You turned away from him, shouting loud in the hallway. – “Luther! Luther come down!” – your voice booming loud in the hallway. Ben grabbed your hand to stop you as he immediately flinched his hand back after coming in contact with yours. He rubbed his hand. – “So you do have abilities. For a while I thought you were their mascot.” – he replied with a sneer. You smiled sarcastically at him, showing him your hand as electricity moved around your fingers.
You had given him a small electric shock the moment he grabbed your hand. – “Luther! Come out we are going home!” – you yelled loud. Ben grabbed for your shoulder as you flung your arm back to release his touch on you. – “Listen squid, you touch me one more time and I’ll fry you!” – you threatened. Ben chuckled. – “I’d like to see you try.”
He didn’t have to say that twice. You let electricity surround your hands, extending your hands out to him as the electricity hit him flat in the chest. Ben got flung against the wall, dropping coughingly down. He pressed his hand against his chest watching you walk off. – “Luther! Luther where the hell are you?” – you shouted for his attention. As you were about to step on the stairs, your path was blocked by Christopher. He changed color while bleeping something.
“You want to have a go cube?” – you taunted having enough of being held back. Christopher turned a bright red as you acted faster than him. You electrocuted him. His entire cube shivering till he dropped to the ground. – “Luther!” – you screamed out stepping over the cube. You came upstairs, hearing Luther’s voice come from out of a room. You went in, trying not to be amazed by the gym set up in the house. – “Y/n?” – Luther said confused jumping up.
Sloane sitting beside him as she stopped smiling. You pointed at him. – “We are going home!” – you made clear. Luther looked briefly down at Sloane, hesitating. – “Luther I said we are going home!” – you repeated not wanting to stay one minute longer with the Sparrows. Out of breath appeared Ben behind you. – “Luther you don’t have to go if you don’t want to.” – he said rather warmly and caring.
It made you frown, staring stunned at his sudden friendliness. – “Shut up!” – you told him, having enough of his ego. – “Luther. Let’s go home.” – you said in a friendlier tone. Luther was still hesitant as you could practically hear Ben snicker in your ear. – “Luther I am your family. I’m your sister… please come home…I need you.” – you begged as Ben snorted loud at your confession.
You let your hand be surrounded by electricity as you touched Ben’s side. He jumped aside at the sudden sting in his side. Luther sighed deep, apologizing to Sloane. He walked over to you as you hugged him. Or rather he hugged you, lifting you up and squashing you in his tight embrace. – “Let’s go home sis.” – he said patting you on the head. You stuck your tongue out to Ben to rub it just that little bit more in his face.
Ben gave you a smile full of mockery back. God how much you hated him. How you also hated that he was exactly like the Ben you knew only raised more messed up. Ben stepped aside allowing you to leave with Luther. – “Are we just going to let them leave?” – Jayme questioned loudly. – “Let’s just kill them now!” – She insisted on. Ben held his hand up to silence her. Looking back to you for as long as he could.
*
Jayme was running after you. Glancing over your shoulder, you saw her approaching. Her expression hard and tense. Puffing loudly, you tried to keep in front of her, outrunning her. – “Hey Umbrella!” – she called out tauntingly speeding up. You felt her grip to you closer, her hand moving over your back to put you to a stop. You came to a halt as she had grabbed a hold of your hair. – “I wasn’t done talking.” – she said teasingly pulling you back by your hair.
You inhaled sharp through your nose, at the brink of giving her a piece of your own mind. You stepped back as she kept moving backwards. Feeling a sudden tug on your hair, made you turn your head to look. Ben’s hand firm around her wrist as he had pulled it off you. – “What are you doing?” – he said coldly, pushing her wrist to her it made her stumble backwards. Jayme puffed some hair out of her face. – “Getting revenge on the umbrella.” – she called out, glaring at you.
Ben glared right back at her. You observed their interaction with curiosity. Ben glanced your way, softening his expression. With a touch of his hand on your lower back, you felt your heart flutter for him. – “Ben let me just…” – Jayme started launching her hand at you. Ben caught her by the wrist again. Her hand clawed out inches away from your face. It made you widen your eyes brief, taking a subtle step back to have her hand out of your face. He swayed his finger to the side, shaking his head.
Jayme gritted her teeth, slapping her hand out of his grip, accidently hitting him in the face. Ben touched his cheek from the impact. Your eyes widened and hardened with anger. – “You hit him!” – you called out. – “How dare you hit him!” – you added while Ben waved his hand at you that it was alright. You called out a war cry, jumping at Jayme. You wrapped your legs around her while slapping her on top of her head. Jayme was receiving the impact trying to get you off. – “Get her off!” – Jayme screamed irritated.
Ben simply crossed his arms, smiling teasingly at you. You jumped off her, puffing loud. Jayme glared, readying her teeth to spit at you. Before she could spit at you, you electrocuted her. Her body spasmed till she dropped unconscious to he ground. – “I knew you could handle yourself.” – Ben said teasingly. You smiled sweetly at him. – “I just electrocuted your sister to the ground.” – you told him getting closer.
“Aren’t you getting revenge?” – you whispered standing as close as possible to him. Ben smirked. – “Would you like me to?” – he spoke back. You shrugged your shoulders. – “Try me Sparrow.” – you teased with a flirty smile. Ben’s gaze lowered to your lips as he briefly licked his. You moved your hand forwards as he grabbed it, quickly spinning you around till you were held against his chest.
He took in a deep breath, moving his head down to your shoulder. – “I could just use my abilities on you.” – he pondered with a chuckle. You cleared your throat drawing his attention to the hand he was still holding upwards of yours. A few sparkles of electricity moving around your fingers. He moved his hand over yours, clearly not bothered by the faint electricity running around it. He stretched your arm out, squinting his eye.
He then removed his hand from on top of yours, whispering shoot in your ear. You released a shot of electricity as it flung across the room, hitting a lightbulb hanging on the wall of the hotel. The lightbulb exploded making Ben smile. You turned your head to the side, glancing up to him. Turning your posture more, you were facing him again. Your heart pounding loudly. It has always beaten for Ben. Whether it be Umbrella Ben or Sparrow Ben.
Ben slowly parted his lips. – “I know you loved this other Ben.” – he whispered to you, moving his palm against your cheek. Hardening his grip as he moved his hand further back to your neck, grabbing you there. – “I think I’m gonna steal you from him.” – his last words ended as he forced his lips onto yours. You completely melted under his kiss, Sparrow Ben all you could think about. How much you hoped Umbrella Ben would forgive you for. Even though he was already long gone.

forever & always | ben hargreeves x fem!reader
ben and y/n always end up together, no matter the timeline.
warnings: semi s03e01 spoilers
Y/N made her way to the Sparrow Academy as she dodged the people outside.
They knew better than to bother her seeing as the last time someone did, it did not well for them.
“Ben? Are you here?” Y/N exclaimed as she got to the living room. She suddenly stopped her tracks as she saw the Sparrows and a bunch of other people fighting with each other.
The fighting stopped and they all stared at her, shocked. The skinny exclaimed, “Y/N! Oh thank god you’re here! Can you please tell your lover boy to be nice to us?”
This got Ben angry and he punched this guy’s face as the fighting ensued once again.
Ben made his way to her as he grabbed her arm.
“Go to my bedroom, now.”
“But-”
“I said now!”
Y/N ran upstairs towards his bedroom and locked the door, whilst breathing really heavily.
An hour or so later, Y/N heard two knocks on the door, signaling that it was Ben.
“Love? Open the door, please.”
She rushed to open the door as Ben went inside. His mouth was bleeding, probably caused by the intruders.
“Oh, Ben what happened?”
“They claim to be dad’s children. We fought, they left.”
“That’s weird.”
“That’s not the weirdest thing.”
“What is?”
“I asked the skinny one how he knew you, and he said where ever they came, we were also together or whatever,” he grumbled as she dabbed a piece of cotton with disinfectant on his face, “then I threw him to the wall.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” she chuckled lightly.
“It’s not. But now I know that anywhere and at anytime, we end up together, no matter what,” Ben said as he pressed a little kiss on top of her forehead.
She smiled and laid on his bed. He followed her actions and the two had a little nap before everything in the universe is about to go wrong and destroy life as they knew it.
A/N: First TUA story!! Feedback is appreciated :))

HIII i’ll literally love you forever if u write anything sparrow ben hargreeves related please god im starved for content
looks like we’re about to be besties ☺️
masterlist // rules
warnings: swearing, self-destructive tendencies
You weren’t part of the Umbrellas originally; you had sorta been the prototype to Lila. You ditched the Commission all the way back in the OG 2019, and had gone back in time with them
Unlike Lila, you had never tried to kill any of the Umbrellas, so they trusted you and thought of you as family (even Five, who rest assured give you a very detailed description of what he’d do to you if you hurt any of his siblings)
Even if you had their trust, you couldn’t help but feel like an outsider. Chalk it up to your lack of love being in the Commission, because even with all the love and support you received, you never lost your destructive habits—withdrawing for days at a time, isolation, bottling up your feelings, major trust issues… The list goes on
But that never hindered your love for your found family, so when y’all landed in what was supposed to be their house, only to discover it inhabited by people dubbed “The Sparrow Academy,” you were on the offensive the millisecond hands were thrown
You engaged with that world’s version of Number 2—Ben Hargreeves. You had never met the original Ben when he was alive, but had heard stories and met him briefly while he was possessing Klaus. But you couldn’t say you had any sort of attachment to him
This Ben wasn’t like the one you (kinda) knew. This Ben was an asshole. And it was just your luck that you got to fight him. He had gone after you, rather than vice-versa
You couldn’t go full Mortal Kombat on his ass, considering that you swore off killing after you ditched the Commission; you had to reel it in
What were your powers? An incredibly potent healing factor. Got shot? Lmao you could just walk it off. No biggie. Lost an arm? Reattach that shit. You had died exactly 74 times in your life
Couple your healing factor with enhanced strength, agility, and endurance. Taking L’s became very, very rare
But everyone has to take an L sometimes. While you were busy kicking Ben’s ass, the Sparrow with the gravity powers interrupted
You prayed that would be the end of your interactions with him, but nah. The Umbrellas and the Sparrows would be more intertwined than you thought they’d be
Your asocial ways and heavy eye bags allured Ben
Ben was like that mosquito that wouldn't stop buzzing around your head while you tried to sleep. Whenever he got the chance, he was trying to chat you up, and he could never shut his mouth
Because of Ben’s clear infatuation with you, both sides of the equation were trying to convince their respective member to get closer to the other in an attempt to get more information
Ben rolled with it; you didn’t. But you weren’t a dumbass. You knew the Sparrows probably had the same idea as the Umbrellas. Jeez, they really were more alike than they’d ever want to admit
But admittedly, Ben’s company slowly became more bearable. He was funny, you’d give him that
Soon, you found yourself talking casually with him as if he was a coworker. That obviously wasn’t what Ben wanted, but he’d take what he could get. He’d just have to rizz you up a little bit longer
While the Sparrows obviously wanted to use you for information, Ben eventually said to hell with it, and switched to just talking to you to talk to you. He was genuinely interested
You could talk to him about your time in the Commission, something you could never bring yourself to do with the Umbrellas. Even if they wanted you to
Ben took an interest in your powers. Like, you could just reattach your limbs?? That was cool as shit! He was shocked to learn you didn’t share his opinions. You had often wished you had never had your powers. Ben couldn’t wrap his head around it.
You’d never admit this to him, but was reassuring to know that Ben didn’t see you as a monster or freak of nature
Once Sloane and Luther announced their engagement, you took a leap of faith and asked Ben to be your date
Man was over the moon
After Ben dubbed himself the “new, new Ben,” for the first time in a long time, you had genuine hope. Maybe this could be something good for you?
But nope. Ben went right back to his bullshit
Klaus deduced that it was a defense mechanism; Ben pushed people away so they couldn’t hurt him. “Sounds like someone we know?” he asked, giving you a look. You rolled your eyes
Call a spade a spade. Klaus was right; you knew he was right. And you proved him right, because you once again isolated yourself from your team
It was straight out of a movie. There was a downpour outside when a knock came to your door. When you opened it, you saw Ben standing there, holding flowers and a bag with a myriad of things inside. He was soaking wet
“Uh… I’m sorry,” Ben said after a beat of silence. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Apologizing clearly wasn’t his greatest talent. It was endearing
“Can I come in?” he asked.
You sighed. “Yeah, yeah.”
If it’s one thing you learned in life, people deserved second chances. And you’d be willing to give Ben one

Tumblr media
The first time you met Ben Hargreeves was at a store robbery. You were an unfortunate customer at the cash register when the two masked robbers came in and not only demanded to get cash from the register, but forced you and the cashier to the floor. One was holding you and the cashier back, threatening you with his gun while the other got all the cash out of the register and from your purse.
Thankfully Ben walked in right as they went to hit the two of you in the head and two tentacles got the job done, without him breaking a sweat.
“Are you okay?” Ben helped you and the cashier up, the two tentacles still holding the now unconscious robbers.
“I’m gonna call the cops” the cashier walked away on shaky legs.
You on the other hand were too scared to say anything and too shaky to walk. So instead you just nodded. Ben’s hands stayed on your waist to keep you upright, for which you were simultaneously grateful and made you blush like a schoolgirl.
“Are you hurt?” Ben asked again, wanting to make sure that you were alright.
“No” you whispered, your anxiety keeping your voice under wraps.
“What’s your name?”
“I’m… I”m Y/n” you managed to get out.
“Alright, Y/n. We’re gonna wait for the cops and then I’ll take you home, alright?”
“No” you panicked. “No, don’t.”
“Y/n, you can barely walk from the shock, I’m not gonna let you walk home.”
Ben wasn’t sure why he insisted. Or why he actually cared. He didn’t know you, he had no actual emotional attachment to you. So why? What made him care? What was so special about you?
He didn’t know. And he wouldn’t know until the next time you accidentally met.
He was at a bar with Chris and a couple of girls, just drinking and having fun. After taking you home approximately two weeks ago, he did not expect to see you again. Yet you were constantly on his mind. He didn’t know why. Maybe it was the way you would tuck your hair behind your ears. Or maybe just that you were shy and sweet. He didn’t know you that well yet, but he could tell.
So when he noticed you coming into the bar, he was shocked but happy to see you. Not like he would ever admit that… to anyone but especially you.
But he couldn’t help going over to the bar and greeting you.
“Hey” he said simply, making you turn around.
“Hey” you looked down at your hands, instantly feeling self-conscious.
“Good to see you’re okay.”
You just nodded, feeling too anxious to keep up a conversation. Truth is, it wasn’t only Ben, who was thinking about you a lot. You did as well. For some reason, the notoriously always grumpy Ben Hargreeves was nothing but kind to you and you felt compelled to understand why. Even if that was made harder by your anxiety.
“Can I get you anything to drink?” he asked, swearing to himself that this was the last time he would try to talk to you if he couldn’t get an answer out of you.
“I…” you started, mustering up all your courage, “just a coke, thanks.”
“A coke? You came to drink soda at a bar?” he asked, but ordered it for you anyway.
“Well…” you exhaled. “I usually… um… come here to just… to just be somewhere. I don’t like to drink.”
“You do you” he shrugged and handed you your coke. “Well, see you around.”
“Wait” you grabbed his wrist in a sudden burst of confidence. “You… uh… you could stay” you told him. “If you want.”
Ben’s heart fluttered in a weird way he didn’t understand. He looked at where Chris was, but quickly made a decision and sat down next to you.
That night he got to know you a little bit and even convinced you to give him your number. So it was a total success for him. And it was a total success for you too because in a long time he was the first person you could really talk to without being a stuttering, blushing mess.
Your friendship blossomed in a matter of months. Ben started being less bitchy around you and started smiling when he was with you. He learned that you were actually a chatterbox if someone really got to know you. Whenever he had a bad day, you made sure he felt better in no time. You were always excited to hear about his day or week depending on the times he managed to call. You even loved hearing about his siblings even if the thought of meeting them made you incredibly anxious. You also always supported him whenever he needed it. You never said to him to fix it himself or anything.
So was it a surprise that he fell for you? Not really. At first, it was to him, but then he thought it through and he had to admit that it really wasn’t a shock. So, after a while, he gathered all the courage he had and asked you out. And oh boy, was he happy when you accepted!
That’s when he started hanging out at your apartment. He loved being there, especially after getting to know your lazy cat C/n (cat name). He loved the cat and he loved when he would greet him with small licks. After a while, it was obvious to him that the cat loved him just as much as he loved him.
Around the second month of your relationship, Ben took you to meet his family. Of course, you were scared about meeting them, but with Ben by your side, you felt at least a little bit at ease.
“Don’t worry, they’re gonna love you” he promised, looking you in the eye as you stood before the gates.
“Okay” you breathed out, trying to calm your heart. “It’s just-”
“I know” his hand cupped your cheek. “But you have nothing to be scared of. I’m here and I’ll be here through this.”
“Thank you” you held his hand on your cheek.
Ben smiled at you and pressed a gentle and loving kiss to your lips.
“Are you ready?”
You nodded and Ben opened the front door to let you into the Sparrow Academy.
The house was huge, you saw that from only the entrance. You knew that despite everything, Ben and his family lived in great conditions. And if the entrance amazed you, then you didn’t have words for the living area. It was honestly bigger than your apartment.
Ben’s arm was around your waist as you marveled at your surroundings. And it tightened the moment he noticed his siblings looking down at the pair of you from the balcony.
“Nice of you to show up” Fei said sarcastically, which made you look up and practically shrink back into Ben at the sudden attention.
“I was busy” Ben replied.
“I can imagine” Fei was unamused.
“Who’s the pretty lady?” Jayme chimed in.
“She's my girlfriend, dipshit.”
“Jayme, play nice. She’s clearly frightened” Marcus tried to calm his siblings. “Hello. We’re Ben’s siblings. I’m Marcus, the leader. These are Fei, Jayme, Alphonso, and Chris. Sloane hasn’t arrived yet.”
“Hi” you waved shyly. ”I’m Y/n.”
“Nice to meet you” Marcus nodded.
“Yeah, you as well.”
That’s when Grace decided to come in.
“Oh, I wasn’t expecting company. I’ll make cookies!” she turned around immediately, a bright smile on her face.
“That’s Grace. She’s a robot. She cleans and cooks” Ben provided and you nodded.
That afternoon, you got to know Ben’s siblings. At first, you were shy and quiet, but as you grew more comfortable, you started talking more carefree. It was especially nice when along with the cookies, arrived Sloane, who was the nicest person ever.
“Oh, you must be Ben’s girlfriend! I’m Sloane” she greeted you with an enthusiastic hug.
“I’m Y/n” you said after she let you go.
“Sloane” Ben warned.
“Oh, don’t worry! Y/n and I will be great friends” she smiled so big, you were surprised how it didn’t hurt her.
And true to her words, you and Sloane became not only great friends but best friends. She was a bowl of sunshine and it really helped you to ease into this new situation quicker. She was always so supportive and kind, it was really refreshing.
It was a surprise to no one when on your first anniversary, Ben took you out for a nice dinner. You suspected what was gonna happen, but you let it all play out, not wanting to interfere with his plans. You didn’t take Ben as an anxious person and generally speaking, he really wasn’t. But this was a big step for you both.
“Take my hand” Ben requested.
“Why?” you asked, but lifted your hand to place it in his.
“I’m trying to ask you to marry me, so take my damn hand!” he blurted out, his nerves getting the better of him.
“Alright” you chuckled and squeezed his hand.
“Y/n, I know that I’m not the type of person to actively show my love. I’m not normal either. My life and family is a fuck up, a real challenge. But I love you. I love you from the bottom of my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Because you make me a better person. So Y/n L/n, will you marry me?”
Your heart was beating in your ear and you really fucking hoped that this was not a dream. That Ben Hargreeves was really on one knee in front of you, asking you to marry him.
“Yes” you whispered, not trusting your voice.
“Yes? You really will?”
“Of course” you nodded, feeling tears running down your cheek.
Ben jumped up and pulled you in for a hug. A hug so tight it made your heart hurt with realization. This meant so much to Ben. It finally convinced him that there is someone who really loves him and cares about him.
“Thank you” you felt weird thanking him, but honestly, you were thankful.
“What for?” he pulled away slightly.
“For loving me and sticking by my side, even though it was hard at first.”
“I should thank you then. I was an asshole.”
“No” you shook your head. “From day one, you have been so kind to me. I love you.”
“I love you too” he pressed a kiss to your lips, which you reciprocated easily.
And that was something the two of you incorporated into your vows a few months later. With Fei and Sloane as your bridesmaids (Jayme refused to wear a dress, but said that she was honored) and Chris as Ben’s best man (you learned to understand him even though it was challenging at times), you got married to Ben Hargreeves.
And that meant that you and C/n moved into the Sparrow Academy. Your life changed for the better and you had Ben to thank for that. His family became yours and you knew that they’d always be there for you, just as you’d always be there for them.
Honestly, life was great. You had everything you could ever wish for. You had an amazing husband, his family, and your cat. It was usually calm at the mansion and even when it wasn’t, it didn’t cause you any problems. So everything was great. Nothing could bring your mood down, right?
The alarm blasted through the space, summoning the sparrows. They were all dressed in their uniforms, standing on the balcony as you stood beside Ben.
“Dad, who are these assholes?”
Well, maybe your life won’t be so calm now.

You gripped Ben's shoulders, nails digging into his skin, as you allow youself to adjust once more.
"Can you take one more?" Ben asked breathily, humming as you take in one more.
"Please," you let out a weak plea. A plea for Ben to stop or maybe to keep going, who knows?
All you know was that the night started with you asking Ben how many tentacles can he produce.

I was thinking…. You’re one of the cast of Umbrella academy, They love you and you love them. You’re a family, but they ship you with you co-star Justin H min! Who played Ben Hargreeves!
Imagine them shipping you with him because the two of you have chemistry. Both love books, movies, ranch- and hey! Maybe the both of you love to eat oranges too with it’s peel on. 🤷‍♀️ but srsly who does that-
The actors sensing the chemistry of the two of you and will absolutely tease you in and off camera. Every interview David Castañeda (Diego’s actor) love to teas Justin so much he’s always red in interviews.
Emmy Lampman (Allison’s actor) hyping you up and boosting your confidence so that you’ll be able to give Justin’s clues that you like him!
Or Emmy, Diego & Ritu (Lila’s actor) teaming up to make a very good plan that will make the two of you confessed to each other, not knowing The two of you; Justin and you, are already dating for 2 weeks-.
There you go champs! Just thoughts- auakjs but I would absolutely love to write this!💕 but prolly not right now hehe, I just need to let this thoughts out or I’ll go insane
Thank you for your consideration! I’ll try to write drafts for this fanfic immediately! Thank you💕

Present Past And The future
Warning: curse words and season 3 spoilers!!
Sparrow Ben x Reader Part 1
Your powers and abilities include telekinesis, energy manipulation, and some form of neuroelectric interfacing that allows y/n to both read thoughts and also give your targets waking nightmares. (Just like Wanda’s powers (if you don’t know, she’s a Marvel character). (Before Y/N became Hargreeves she was Y/n Quinn) Length: 985 words
Tumblr media
When the Umbrella Academy prepared for their fight with the Sparrow Academy, Y/N Comes inside the living room with a confused look and asks “Wtf is going on?!” A mysterious young man with many knifes all over his clothes calls your name. Jayme, Bens sister, replies by saying “she is Ben’s wife you perv”. That’s when things took an odd turn. Marcus turned around and he responded with “you got 30 seconds to leave or we’ll beat the shit out of you”. It seems like they were going to leave until the member with a hat faced towards  Ben and you saying “you look way better alive Ben and Y/N, they’re in life and dead together isn’t that adorable’’. Ben replied to him by saying ‘’shut your mouth’’. Ben walked over to him and punched the guy in the face, which made the guy with the hat take a hit on the ground. At that moment a fight started between the Sparrow and the Umbrella.
‘’Hey you didn’t have to do that!’’ shouted the biggest one at Ben.
‘’Um yes he did” you responded facing him. It didn’t take long before everyone started to fight. Marcus was fighting the big one, Fei the pretty one, Christopher fought the man with the knifes, Ben and…the little kid? Alphonso, Sloane, Jayme and you watched Fei kick the pretty girls ass. Until she said something that made Fei freeze, that’s when Alphonso and you joined the fight.
‘’Hit me. C’mon, hit me in the face.’’ Alphonso said just before she hit him as hard as she could, the punch reverberating back to her face. Walking slowly towards her you kick her and before you could kick her again she disappears. When everyone had been thoroughly dealt with you meet back up with the others in the living, watching Marcus kick the big guy his ass.
‘’Thai food for dinner?’’ Fei asks to mixed opinions. ‘’What about fine Italian? They ask, annoyed at everyone’s indecisiveness. ‘’Marcus stop’’ you say. ‘’Not yet’’ Marcus responds and starts to finish the called out sibling of the big guy. Making Marcus look up let the big one go. Focusing on the one that escaped you go after him, hunting him like a cat and dog. Stopping to hear his footsteps you track down where he is.
‘’Where are you going?’’ you say standing about 5 feet away from him. ‘’we were just starting to have fun.’’ You said jokingly. ‘’Look I don’t want to hurt you Y/N. I mean we both know I could’’ he says laughing
‘’Oh fuck you’’ you say not taking your eyes off him as he tries to go around you. Circling him you reveal your knife. ‘’Nice knife too dangerous to play with though.’’ he says while walking to you. C’mon we both know this isn’t you, you were so kind sweet and wouldn’t dare to hurt a soul,’’ he gets closer, close enough to touch you. Becoming freaked out by what they all said about you and your husband being dead. Deciding that you won’t hurt him, and saying he should ‘’Go,’’ He runs to a different part of the house. Resuming where you were with the rest of your family, you stand over the person who distracted Marcus. Just as you were about to punch them, they sent a powerful blast that threw everyone backwards. Hitting your head on one of the many ornament things in the room. You started to see everything blurry. Ben is saying something to you but understand nothing and then drops to the floor.
‘’Y/n Past Before she became a Sparrow 2017 12 January”
Y/n just came in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, She always stayed at one place and decided  it was nice to finally see the world.
She needed to go to the bank to take cash. Everything was peaceful until some robbers came with weapons. Y/n didn’t know about the Sparrows back then, she was scared and used her powers to make them all fall. The doors opened and Y/n and many other people ran for their life while the sparrows were being in shock. ‘’Wtf happened!’’ Ben said ‘’Idk let’s check the cameras.’’ Marcus responds. They watched the camera footage and were in surprised  to see someone with such strong powers. ‘’Fei find her and lets go home’’ Marcus said. Jayme nods and replies with ‘’Maybe she is one of us?  Marcus shrugs, ‘’Maybe let’s find out and make a plan at home.’’
“Did you find anything at the academy’’ asked Sloane. Fei shook her head. ‘’We are going to need a plan if we find her.’’ Ben said ‘’Let’s just talk to her before we do anything.’’ Ben nods his head you’re your direction ‘’oh fuck I hope no one saw that.’’ You said to yourself walking back and forth while being worried.
The next day Ben walks around the streets and sees you walk around like a lost puppy. ‘’Do you need help?’’ Ben asks while looking friendly at you. You looked up at him and nodded replying ‘’yea I’m kind of lost.’’. Ben puts his hand on your Shoulder, ‘’Well, where do you need to go?’’ he asks while looking around. ‘’I am actually looking for a clothing store, I need new clothes.’’ You responded shrugging while staring embarrassed at the floor.  Ben grabs your hand and got your attention.  ‘’I’m Ben, are you new in town’’?
This was part 1 I’m making part 2 right now please tell me if you like it and want more

Promises - Ben Hargreeves
Warnings: mentions of death, sexual references, angst, fluff.
Tumblr media
Ben had always loved you; he couldn't remember a time when you hadn't held residence in his mind. Klaus had introduced the two of you—sadly after Bens passing—and somehow, under some miracle, you had been able to see and talk to him. Perhaps that was why Klaus had brought you together in the first place. Maybe he had known all along.
You'd bonded with Klaus as well, mainly for the purpose of pulling pranks on Ben—pranks of which never worked, considering the ghost boy always knew what you were up to.
Your bond with Ben, however, was something different. He was head over heels for you, and not only because you were the only other person besides Klaus that could see him. He found himself enjoying your company more than he had anyone else's, indulging in your laughs and smiles, as if they were a delicacy.
When Five announced the apocalypse, there was no laughing, or happiness of any kind. As one would expect when the world was ending, deep depressions settled over everyone that knew of what was to become of the world. You'd gone home as soon as Five let the news loose, wanting some space to clear your head away from the umbrella academy heroes. Ben had followed you, leaving Klaus unattended, not that he would listen to Ben's warnings if he stayed.
"Look, Y/N" Ben appeared by your side as you collapsed onto your couch, head in your hands. "We're gonna make it out of this". Ben wasn't sure of his statement but spoke it anyway needing something comforting to say to you.
"You can't be sure of that Ben" Your head still sat in your hands and Ben wanted desperately for you to look at him. Then he could see your face, scan all your features so he would remember every detail of you no matter what happened.
After a moment he brought himself to speak, "I won't let anything happen to you, okay?".
You turned to him then, lifting your head from your hands but not in the way Ben had hoped. You were hopelessly upset, and Ben could tell well before you spoke. "But you're dead Ben, and I'm no hero. I'm just human, normal, average. I can't save us".
You seemed to notice where you'd gone wrong as soon as the words left your lips, having brought up the death of Ben in a conversation that was meant to be built on reassurance. "Ben I'm so sorry, that came out wrong-" Ben stopped you, smiling the despite the harsh truth. "It's okay".
You shook your head, placing your face in your hands once again "No, it's not, that was mean. I'm sorry".
Being a ghost was difficult, specifically when Ben wanted to reassure you. "Look Y/N, it's just the apocalypse, it's not like it's the end of the world".
You laughed at that, and Ben loved the sound. If he could, he would listen to it on repeat, put it on a record and never stop the turntable.
"Technically it is the end of the world" You were looking at him, the smile that he loved threatening to spill, though your eyes were brimmed with tears. Death was inevitable, you just didn't think it would come for you this soon.
"You promise we'll be okay?" Your question was a commitment impossible to keep but Ben nodded, wanting more than anything to put his arm around you.
"Yeah, I promise".
-
A few days passed and you had pulled yourself together enough to think about things other than your impending demise for a few minutes, before of course falling into a pit of sadness, anger, and frustration once again. Ben's promise did nothing to ease your mind, and you knew it never would. There was no saving you, or anyone. Maybe being okay meant being with him in the afterlife. You sure as hell found yourself heading there.
"You're thinking about death again, aren't you?" The voice of Klaus interrupted your thoughts, cheerful despite it all.
"Of course I am Klaus, it’s my future and it awaits me". You sent him a venomous smile, though you wanted to stop yourself from doing so. Klaus had done nothing wrong, but you couldn't stop your harsh comments, having turned into a pessimist over the last few days.
"Hey, it’s time to be happy! Five has a plan" He drew out the name of his brother, as if mention of the grumpy being would ease your mind.
"What is this plan exactly Klaus?"
"Well, I wasn't really listening, but I'm sure Five could tell you if you go talk to him" Klaus claps his hands together and you roll your eyes. As if it was easy to talk to Five. As you weren't one of his superpowered siblings, the boy wouldn't even lend you a glance.
"You know what Klaus? When the world is in fact not at its end, I'll be happy, but for now I wish to sit and bathe in everything I'm about to lose. My life for example" You stand as you speak, Klaus moving to take your spot on the loveseat in your living room. He'd always loved the spot and makes himself comfortable quickly.
It's then you see Ben standing in the doorway, arms folded like usual.
"Quite an impressive stance you have there Benerino, is there someone you're trying to impress?" Klaus teases Ben with a grin, having known about his crush on you since it started.
"He hasn't got anyone to impress" You wave the comment off, though you smile at Ben as you move past him to the kitchen.
"Ohh, I'm sure you are well worth impressing Y/N" Klaus continues and Ben hisses at him before moving into the kitchen after you. His brother could drive him into the grave if he wasn't already dead.
"Y/N, I know you're sick of hearing this but it's gonna be okay"
"Oh yeah, because Five's got a plan, right?" You spin to face him, though it's not anger in your eyes, it's fear.
It makes Ben ache, the thought that you are deathly afraid of, well, death. He doesn't want you to die either, knowing you have so much more to do with your life, a thousand things that he couldn't do with his own. He also knows there is a chance he won't see you again, even if you join the afterlife. To him that's too much to risk.
It's then that—if it wasn't already before—making sure you both survive the end of the world becomes Ben's top priority. He knows it's not a realistic hope to have that the both of you will survive, but Ben doesn't care. He wants you to live so he can haunt you forever.
-
The way Ben goes about this is through Klaus.
"Go, tell him what I said!".
Klaus looks at him with something of a frown, though, it's difficult to tell. "You go and tell him Ben, don't bully me into doing your ghostly dirty work".
Ben groans loudly, only for the ears of Klaus to hear. "That's exactly the point Klaus, I can't talk to him, I'm dead. But I can talk to you and you," Ben gestures toward the short yet old man just a few feet away, "can talk to him".
Klaus considers this, placing a finger to his lips in thought. Then he glances to Five who was currently, scolding Luther for "being a useless lump of clay". Klaus shakes his head "Nope, not talking to teenage grandpa".
He struts away then, as if he can escape Ben's pestering, instantly being followed by said boy. "Klaus, I'm begging you".
Klaus keeps walking, not sparing a glance to his brother "I only like begging in the bedroom little bro, and from people who are not you".
"Okay ew," Ben stops in his tracks at the words but continues to speak despite Klaus blocking his ears like a child. "Klaus, I want to save Y/N, and I know you do too".
Klaus pauses then, turns still with his hands covering his ears "You're so in love with them, aren't you?". Ben goes to respond, deny the statement, or perhaps confirm it, but he doesn't even have the chance to think about it before Klaus continues. "I mean, I knew you liked them, a lot, but you my brother, have caught the lovebug".
"The lovebug?" Ben folds his arms, defensive. He knows what Klaus says is true, always has been. He admitted such a fact to himself long ago, but his stubbornness sticks like a glue in not admitting it aloud.
"Ben, Ben, Ben. You are in love". Klaus comes over then, smug smile on his lips and arms extended in a hug like fashion, though, he would go straight through his brother if he tried.
Ben decides upon not saying a thing, a simple eye roll coming as his only response to the tease. This only fires up Klaus more, the man jumping up and down on the balls of his feet. "I think you should tell them".
"What?".
"I, your brother, think that you Ben Hargreeves should admit your feelings for Y/N" There's a pause and Klaus leans in closer "Before it's too late".
-
Ben thought over Klaus's words carefully and decided upon one thing. He would tell you how he felt, but not because it was the end of the world, and not before it was too late. He was getting the both of you out of this apocalypse in one piece, even if it cost him everything. There would be no 'too late'.
Currently Ben stood in your living room, trying to convince himself that his feelings were worth sharing, that above everything they were better than a goodbye, that they wouldn't push you away. It was too late to back out now, and if he did Klaus would most likely throw him under the bus later, spilling the beans like he always did with every secret he held.
It was then that you entered your house, jumping at the sight of Ben, pacing within your place like an anxious puppy.
"Jesus Ben!" You held a hand to your chest, backpack gripped in the other as you kicked the door closed. "What are you doing here?".
Ben froze for a second at the sight of you, the best person he'd ever known, whether he'd been alive in his time of knowing you or not. He ran over the words he was to say in his head. "I wanted to tell you something". It wasn't how he'd intended to start the conversation, but it would have to do.
"What'd you want to tell me?" You have your back to Ben now, placing your backpack on the kitchen bench and pulling out various food items. Ben counts two boxes of microwave rice risotto and a block of cheese before he loses focus. Ben can't bring himself to confess when he doesn't know if you're truly listening. If he's going to do this, he wants your full attention, and by the looks of it he's going to have to take it.
He moves quickly taking your hand just before you can grab anything else from your bag of wonders, and it's then that you turn to him, eyes sinking into his. You hold a frown, creases in your brows that Ben wants to smooth out with the pad of his thumb.
"I want to tell you something important-"
Ben is cut off as your gaze shifts from his eyes to his hand, still holding your own. "Ben," Your voice is full of confusion, "you're touching me".
It's then that the feeling of your skin on his registers in his mind, and his mind seems to blur with the contact, something he hadn't felt in so long.
"Is this what you wanted to tell me?" Your voice is quiet, still staring down at that of the skin on skin contact. Ben's staring at it too, your hands intertwined, and somehow a laugh escapes him.
"No, what I wanted to tell you was different. So different".
You manage to pull your eyes away from your hands, though, it had been hard, to look at Ben's face, scanning him for answers. Answers that he didn't have, that was, if you were looking for something to explain the contact.
"What were you going to tell me?" You’re looking into his eyes now, and he can tell that you want to reach out, see if your hand won't just go straight through him, but you don't.
Ben is quiet for a moment, afraid that if he lets go of your hand now, he will never be able to hold it again. Then he finds it in himself to speak. "I wanted to tell you how much I care about you" Ben stops closing his eyes tightly as he wills the right words to come to mind. As much as he hates to admit it, he's thinking of what Klaus would do. When he opens them again, you're looking at him with deep concern. "Ben?". The way you say his name drives him crazy, somehow pushing him forward, giving him the strength to confess.
"I care about you, in more than a friend way". He can't bring himself to say that four letter word. He wants to tell you that after you both survive this. After the two of you make it out alive, flipping off the end of the world with grins on your faces.
When the words leave his lips, you stare at him with something he can't understand, he feels you squeeze his hand and then you let go, and Ben's heart sinks at never being able to touch you again. And then you hug him. You hug him, bringing him close to you, arms around his neck and smiling into his shoulder. Ben is stunned at first, head spinning at having you this close, before he wraps his arms around you, trying to push back tears of relief.
It takes a long time for the both of you to pull away, and when you do Ben makes sure to keep his hand intertwined with yours. He doesn't want your touch to disappear just yet.
"I always keep my promises". His voice is soft, quiet, and you find yourself moving in closer, though you can hear him just fine. You say nothing, and you don't need to say anything. "I promised you that we would make it out of this, that we would survive whatever the fuck this apocalypse is. I'm keeping that promise, okay?".
All you do is nod, but there are tears in your eyes and you're smiling. Really smiling. Ben allows himself to do the same, and somehow that makes everything better. He knows that you'll survive this, together.

A/N: English isn't my first language sorry If I made any mistake :). I really missed write about ben <3 even if he isn't our ben
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
"hi, Benarino" you greeted your boyfriend using the nickname that his "brother" from another timeline had gave him.
the sparrow rolled his eyes, he had heard that nickname all day: his brothers hadn't stopped making fun of him.
"Get lost" he murmured low, far from hearing him you approached him, you knew your boy.
"ow, don't take it personally honey" you whispered caressing his face, leaning close to his lap, his lips inches from yours.
Your boyfriend sighed, now he was looking at you, you could see his broken lip: courtesy of Five.
"maybe you should use your powers and make them forget that stupid nickname" he suggested, you laughed at his proposal.
"I won't use my power with my brothers Ben, besides" you paused trying not to laugh "Klaus was right about something, that scar makes you look muy macho" Ben groaned annoyed at your teasing, your laugh echoed in his room, so to stop you he did the best he could to shut you up: Ben kissed you, you gasped in surprise, returning the kiss with more fervor; his hands wrapped around your hips bringing you as close to his body as possible.
"if you say another comment like that, I'll have to punish you, honey" your boyfriend whispered against your lips.
oh, you were really going to piss off your boy.

Ben Hargreeves x gn!reader
pairing: Ben Hargreeves x gender neutral reader
warnings: fluff
notes: English isn't my first language, so I'm sorry for any stupid mistakes :')
summary: You really wanted to ignore the very handsome ghost that followed you through your life, before he said something that you just couldn't ignore. (I suck at summaries)
Part one? I don't know
Tumblr media
You had a very lonely life. You didn't have many friends, at least not many that lived in the same country and you weren't really on speaking terms with your family. It would have been a very quiet life, if not for the person that was always by your side.
"I wish we could talk properly, you know? It's sad to never get an answer." You were on your way to your apartment. Any person that crossed your way would think you were alone, but the ghost that followed you on every step wasn't going to leave you in your miserable silence. He grew on you. He always kept you company, always talked about random stuff he had on his mind and honestly, it was comforting in a way. It wasn't often that the silence that followed you was broken through a voice.
You also got to know many things from him. Besides childhood stories and very weird stuff you couldn't even completely recall, you got to know his name, his siblings names and much information about his brother Klaus. Ben loved his brother very much, even if he had never admitted it out loud to you. Siblings didn't do that normally, almost never if you were precise. They just knew they were loved - or they knew they weren't, if their siblings weren't the nicest. There was a thin line between love and hate and siblings just knew most of the time on which side they were on.
"Klaus got even more annoying than before, you know? He just won't shut up about this new power thing he got. We didn't even notice, but I was so mad that I punched him in the face. What he deserved by the way," he justified quickly, "And now he is mad at me for disappearing the whole time." He sighed as you both reached your apartment. You weren't sure why he was so sad every time you entered your home. The thing was he never followed you inside, something very many ghosts did and it was more than uncomfortable for you every time you saw people in your bedroom or living room. He was respectful and you thought it was really adorable.
You began to search for your keys, while Ben slid down the wall and sat down next to your door. He watched as you fumbled in your pockets, before you loudly groaned and put your bag on the ground. You hated it that you always forget where you put your things. The ghost chuckled quietly at that and hugged his knees to his chest.
"You should always put them in one place so you don't lose them all the time." You surpressed the urge to respond to him and hid the small smile that made its way on your face. It was hard to ignore him. At first you did it because you weren't sure how he ticked. Many ghosts were real idiots and you just hated the way they tried to force themselves on you, but Ben wasn't like that. He tried so hard to not bother you in any way and only talked about things you would be comfortable with - if you could hear them. There existed many ghosts that could learn from him. You searched through your bag, until you finally held your keys in your hands.
"I wish you could hear me. If I was alive, maybe we would even be friends. I mean talking to you is like a break from Klaus anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter." He watched as you unlocked your door and took your bag that had rested on the floor. You ran your fingers through your hair and turned around, getting stopped by the quiet voice that sounded very loudly in your head. "God, you are so beautiful." You froze on the spot and turned your head to the man. Your face grew hot as you just motionless stood there. He was staring back at you, his cheeks covered in a light blush as your eyes locked.
"What did you say?" He raised a brow in question and looked to the side, searching for a person you could have meant. You weren't talking about him, you couldn't be. He was sure you weren't, but at who were you staring then? It wouldn't be that surprising if you went crazy, so maybe you were hallucinating or-
"Wait, do you mean me?" It took a while for you to nod slightly, not really prepared for any of this. But who was prepared to have ghosts in their life? He jumped to his feet, on his face appearing a grin at which you couldn't help but smile softly.
"You can see me?" he asked again, "Like, you really can?" You nodded again. He buried his hands in his hair and just looked at you with slightly parted lips. A chuckle erupted from you at his antics. You should have done that sooner, way sooner.
"That's- that's amazing- Wait, wait, wait- does that mean you heard everything I've ever said to you?" You pressed your lips together into a tight lipped smile and nodded. He leaned his head against the wall and cursed quietly, which only made you grin. He was being adorable and you could punch yourself for not talking to him sooner. Maybe you would be sitting on your couch and would be gossiping about people you both met that day. He would be a friend that wasn't only good looking, of course that wasn't really important, but also the most lovely person you've ever met.
"That's- shit- Oh, come on, I've said so many embarrassing things, this is- I don't even know what to say." He groaned and pulled lightly at his hair. "Well, at least you can hear me. It's great that you are the one I can talk to. I mean, I don't..." You laughed at his rambling, making him stop. His face got even redder as he scratched his neck flustered. There wasn't a reason for him to do so, more likely a habit from when he was alive. It was cute anyway, so you weren't giving it a second thought.
"Wanna come in?" He just stared at you, blinking confused. "Well, then I'm going in alone." You casually sent him a little wave and entered your apartment, a moment later hearing the footsteps of Ben in your home.
Maybe you could get used to company that you could actually talk to.
And maybe you could only get used to it when your company was a black haired ghost that just couldn't shut up.

ivy | ben hargreeves x fem!reader
Y/N can’t follow the only rule given to her as a child and he is the reason why.
notes: could be for either sparrow!ben or umbrella!ben :))
i can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland
Late night walks have always been Y/N’s favorite. The serene atmosphere, people being barely there, and the lights twinkling around her. But now, she started to love it even more.
Y/N was one of the children that was born on October 1, 1989. She had the ability to control nature. She was able to bring dead plants back to life, she was able to tame animals, and even control the weather (if she really tried). Reginald Hargreeves did try to adopt Y/N. But her mom refused.
As Y/N grew up, she was given strict rules to not go near their house and to especially not engage with any of the members of the family (if you can even call them that).
And that she did. She never went anywhere near their house. She avoided any glimpse of them in the streets and just kept to her self.
Until that one faithful day. Y/N was on her way to the store when she bumped into someone. She was carrying a bunch of bags from the shops and she accidentally let go of some of them.
“Hey! Watch where you’re going, will you?” the man said.
Y/N looked up and saw a man wearing a uniform that was very evident that he was part of the Hargreeves’ academy, the academy’s logo very evident on the jacket of the uniform. She jumped slightly as he held her bags and gave it to her. She quickly thanked him as she grabbed her bags from him.
“Name’s Ben by the way,” he continued, offering his hand.
“Y/N. Listen, I have to go now. Thank you again,” she smiled slightly.
She quickly ran away from him. Promising to herself that it was the only and last time she’ll interact with a sparrow.
♡ ♡ ♡
She was wrong. That was not the last time she saw Ben.
He kept showing up wherever she was. In the library, in the park, even at her place of work. And he kept trying to talk to her.
At first she only talked to him about small things. But as time passed by she started to trust him with different things.
Even revealing to him that she had powers.
“Bullshit.”
“I do have powers!”
“Fine, show me then.”
She looked at the sky and really focused on the sun. Suddenly the sky was filled with clouds and it had started raining.
“See! I told you!”
Ben stood in awe as he looked at Y/N. He started laughing slightly as he shook his head, “Amazing. You’re fucking amazing.”
She laughed and stared at Ben. He started leaning in and Y/N just let it happen. The two shared their first kiss in the rain in the middle of August.
♡ ♡ ♡
It was around 11 pm when Y/N snuck outside her house. She met up with Ben to just talk and clear up their plans. Plans of running away from the life they used to know.
The two met up at the nearby parked and just talked about their plans for tomorrow night and the plans they wanted to do once they were far away from this city.
“Listen, so we’ll meet up at Griddy’s at around 12 midnight, right?” Y/N said.
“Yes. I’ll bring a car and you need to be there by that time, alright? We still have a mission in the morning, but right after that, it’s just you and me, love.”
Y/N smiled and she kissed his lips, “I love you so much, you know that?”
“I love you too,” he smiled.
The pair started walking towards their respective houses, kissing each other before bidding goodbye. As two got inside their respective houses, they started thinking about one another and the plans they made for their futures. Little did they know that life was not kind enough to let them continue with said plans.
Life was about to change for the both of them, and not in the way they wanted it to happen.

second chances
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
( pairing ) : sparrow!ben hargreaves x umbrella!gn reader
( about ) : the brellies lost ben, but the sparrows lost the reader. the two reunite, but ben doesn’t seem so eager to catch up.
( warnings ) : angst, they actually hate each other – ben is a pain in the ass, the reader is no better, no happy ending bc they never resolve the problem… happy reading!
( words ) : 1800
( note ) : the person who requested this scenario asked for angst and i took that personally… anyway, the dialogue popped up in my head and i just had to write it down. i didn’t specify whether the feelings are romantic or not, so it’s really up to interpretation. also, i think this is the first work i’ve written in the past tense… no clue why i did that but my brain just wouldn’t have it any other way. i hope you guys don’t mind (but please leave your thoughts. i might keep writing in past tense in the future, if you guys prefer it)
*** also im really sorry about any duplicated paragraphs below the cut! i have trouble with this every time but i just can’t seem to get the formatting right :(

People don’t change overnight — everyone knows that. A person is too complex to turn over a new leaf in such a short span of time. Still, you dared to hope.
Things had gone well last night, all things considered. With the influence of alcohol and some newfound optimism for the newly-weds, Ben Hargreeves — the one who seemed to suck the life out of everyone whose oxygen he breathed — had been surprisingly tolerable. You’d hoped for it to last.
A stupid assumption, really.
From the way he stepped out of the elevator, alone, you should have known better than to keep your hopes up.
“Hey. You’re awake,” you greeted him, careful not to sound too chipper. Every second spent with him was calculated; each step held the potential to destroy the progress you’ve made, if any.
“Hey. You’re awake,” you greeted him, careful not to sound too chipper. Every second spent with him was calculated; each step held the potential to destroy the progress you’ve made, if any.
Situated by the kitchen counter, you made the best of what you had to cure a hangover — just a variation of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and water. You supposed it made sense that your options were so limited. One can’t exactly go grocery shopping when most of the world is in ruins. You poured Ben a cup of tea, anyway. “Is Klaus on his way down?”
“How am I supposed to know?” he snapped. Whatever had been left of you that hoped things would change for the better suddenly retreated. It was as if he’d taken a needle to puncture your hypothetical bubble.
“Oh.” You tried not to sound too bitter. “Sorry. I assumed you guys patched things up after last night. You were practically attached at the hip.”
“There’s nothing to ‘patch up.’ We don’t even know each other.” He was being particularly nasty, spitting words like venom. You refused to stoop down to his level.
“Here. Have some tea,” you offer, setting the cup in front of him. Then, to lighten the mood, you tried to joke. “I don’t think the timeline changed your tastebuds, too.” He didn’t react, at first.
Seconds later, the change in him was almost palpable. It flashed through his eyes and coursed through him with such intensity that you swore you felt something in him snap.
It made him furious that you knew he preferred to take tea over coffee. Even worse, you knew exactly how to brew it. Except, of course, you didn’t know how he takes his tea. He’d never told you that. Well, not this version of you. You knew how to make Ben – the other Ben – his tea. This was just another excuse to compare the two of them again.
“Could you idiots stop smothering me?” He pushed the cup aside, a trail of steam left in its wake. The familiar hint of bergamot was intoxicating. Haunting. It flooded his senses, and while its scent was something he normally welcomed, the circumstance had made it strangely unsettling.
“We’re just trying to get to know you.” That was familiar, too – the infuriating, confounding, expected tone of compassion. One he hadn’t heard in years.
“Take the hint! I don’t want to get to know you. Any of you. I was drunk last night. Klaus kept bothering me. If I was sober, I wouldn’t have—”
Your blood boiled with fury to match his own. The personal jabs at yourself were bad enough, but there was something about the insults directed elsewhere — toward Klaus, of all people — that was simply unacceptable.
“That’s not fair,” you cut him off, your voice suddenly changed. You didn’t sound quite angry, but determined to get your defense across. “Klaus was trying to—”
“I don't care!” His fists slammed against the counter, the teacup trembling as he did. It creates a ripple, resembling that of a storm and the strong wind which might disturb the sea. Had you not been in the eye of the storm, it might have been mesmerizing. “It doesn’t seem like the rest of your siblings do, either. It’s just you and Klaus. You can stop pretending to give a shit. Maybe that’ll get him off my back.”
“Fine,” you surrendered. You meant it this time. “I’ll leave you alone. Just… go easy on Klaus, alright?” But Ben’s mouth kept plowing through your patience, like he didn’t believe you were willing to admit defeat so easily.
That was one thing they didn’t have in common, this stranger and your friend. Your Ben would have been smart enough to keep his mouth shut.
“You don’t even know me. I’m not your Ben. I’m not pathetic—”
“Stop it.” Your rage punctured through your patience, bleeding out in continuous droplets, steady like the ticking of a clock. “You can say whatever you want about the rest of us, but I won’t let you ruin what we have left to remember him by. Everybody loved Ben. And the fact that they were trying to get to know you meant they could have loved you, too.” You stopped yourself to draw a breath, to express your disbelief and to keep your voice steady. “Hell, they probably still do. It doesn’t matter that you’ve been a dick this entire time. Right now, you’re the closest thing we have.” The explanation only upset him.
“You sure have a fucked up way of showing it. When you walked into the Academy, what were you planning to do? Erase us out of existence? And now that you can’t do that you’re trying to play nice so we’ll do whatever you say? You don’t love me — whatever that means to you people. You probably didn’t even love your Ben.”
You had the urge to send the steaming cup flying into him so that he might feel the way his words burn. You settle and retaliate in the closest fashion.
“I’m not playing some sort of game here. We’re not trying to manipulate you into believing that you’re better off on our side. You have a family. I get that. But have you considered that, maybe, it’s so difficult to believe that we loved you in another timeline because you’ve never felt loved like that here?” Ben tensed, and you knew he considered the possibility. You knew you hurt him, too.
“You’ll say anything to convince me, won’t you?”
Maybe you would have. Maybe, you would stoop so low to exploit his grief just so he could acquaint himself with the guilt and misery you’ve suffered — agony he couldn’t care less about unless, perhaps, he learned to suffer it too.
“You want proof? All of us left the Academy the moment we could. It didn’t matter that we had nothing to our name or… or that didn’t know anything about the world. We left because there wasn’t any reason to stay. But we fell apart way before that. Do you know why? It’s because one of us died. Our Ben died. It was bad enough when Five disappeared, but at least we could hope he was somewhere out there. We could hope that we might see him again. We buried Ben’s body. And we were so distraught that we let it tear us apart. We would have done anything to have him back, even for just a day. We still want to, to make up for every year we wasted when he was around and didn’t prove to him that we loved him. We would do anything to make up for every year we’ve grieved after we lost him. If you’d just give us the chance, we could show you.”
“No! You leave me out of this. You fucked up the first time around. That’s on you. I’m not gonna be your second chance or whatever to make you feel better about yourselves. You’re just upset because we pulled ourselves together.”
His words struck hard, leaving lacerations the size of rivers in jagged topography. Had the damage been physical, you were sure it would have bled you to death. But it wasn’t. Somehow, that made it worse.
Somehow, bearing the truth in mind prolonged a bleeding heart. And it wouldn’t stop so long as you lived.
“You know what, you’re right. I’m pretty fucking upset about that, too.” Ben looked surprised. You thought it might have been the only expression you’d ever seen on him, aside from bitterness. “I died in this timeline, didn’t I? I died for the same reason you did. But look at all of you.” You might have laughed. Or sobbed. But a noise escaped you for just a split second, and Ben seemed to realize what you were suggesting. “The Sparrow Academy stays standing, even after what happened to me, didn’t it? I’m the one you didn’t care about.”
“Don’t turn this around.”
“No,” you hiss through gritted teeth. “You don’t get to belittle my family because we miss our brother. You don’t get to think you’re so much better when the only reason you’ve gotten this far is because you don’t give a shit about anyone else.” You let your tears fall, but your demeanor never faltered, not even as you approached him, eyes ablaze. “Being cold and heartless might have given you an upper hand, but that does not make you better than me.”
He leaned closer, still seated on the stool. Mocking. With only a marble countertop setting you feet apart, the end of the world wasn’t consuming the rest of the world outside.
Damn the Kugelblitz, really. The end of the world should have started in that room.
“No, but it doesn’t change the fact that you’re all weak. You never stood a chance. You were always going to fall apart.”
“At least I’m trying to get it together. I’m trying to piece my family back together. I tried to get to know you because I thought, somewhere in there, I could find Ben. My Ben. I just wanted my family whole again. But you? You don’t even care that I’m here.”
He shouldn’t, he thought. It didn’t matter that you and the Y/N he knew had so much in common — more than he and the other Ben, anyway. You weren’t the same. Not really. You never would be.
“Because you’re not Y/N. They would have never been so pathetic.”
You let out a laugh, dispensed in short breaths, each of which seemed to force him to sink lower into his seat.
“And I’m sure they trusted you with their life, didn’t they?”
Your voice sounded patronizing, but held a greater cruelty than you imagined. While impossible to envision, you had meant to this stranger as much as Ben had meant to you. Suggesting that the sentiment wasn’t returned…
Well, it would haunt him as Ben’s death haunted you.
“I’m sure they felt comfortable enough, safe enough, to be vulnerable around you. A cold, selfish bastard.”
“You don’t know anything,” his voice trembled. He looked pale. Undone.
Distraught.
You delivered the final blow.
“I know that no version of myself would have ever trusted, much less loved, someone like you.”
