There was interview with Claudia Jesse and Luke Thompson, who play Eloise and Benedict Bridgerton and when Claudia was asked “who do you ship in the show?”, Luke answered for her “you’re obsessed with us”. So yeah! Shipping Beneloise is a solitary affair, but at least I’m validated by the actress 😅
That's amazing!
I finally watched Bridgerton a few weeks ago and I'm all caught up.
As insane as Daphne and Anthony are in some scenes, and the amazing AU they could be, I actually like Benedict and Eloise better in reality and with consistency.
They seem to genuinely enjoy each others' company and want to be around each other, and constantly seem like they're flirting.
It's like, OK guys, we get it, you don't know what personal space is.
Plus they both see themselves as rebels who don't fit in. I can see Benedict just whoring around without realizing that he has no interest in getting attached to any one woman because he only wants Eloise. And Eloise having no inclination to marry and imagining herself as a spinster without realizing Benedict is the reason she doesn't want to leave and have a home/family of her own. Maybe even on a surface level they realize they're well-suited but can't acknowledge any feelings.
And then when they do realize it, their easy, joking relationship where Eloise doesn't judge Benedict and Benedict doesn't expect anything of Eloise like everyone else does becomes awkward and angsty until a kiss changes everything.
i’m so glad you’re on the benedict/eloise train… bridgerton isn’t even a piece of media i’m actively searching for incest in (as opposed to like. dune. where it’s thematic) but they put weird amounts of sauce into their dynamic like what was that
I just think that energies.......... why are u as her brother practically sitting on her lap unprompted........
