Concept art by Brian Matyas. Din Djarin standing in the slaughterhouse, on the ring world, surrounded by the heads of the critters being processed there. Image from The Book of Boba Fett, Season 1, Episode 5, Return of the Mandalorian.
Din Djarin had been in worse places. He was certain of that. Pagodon came to mind immediately. It was icy cold. All anyone ate there was fish. The huge aquatic creatures that inhabited its oceans were big enough to destroy you and your vessel. But at least it didn’t smell bad. It must have been the icy cold air.
Generally, the ring world where he’d found his next bounty didn’t smell of anything other than it’s artificial atmosphere. A little stale. An occasional whiff of ozone. The odd perfume. The air handlers made short work of that sort of thing. But the smell of blood and burned flesh was impossible to ignore in the slaughterhouse.
He’d have to see if the Armorer could do something about that once he located her. Maybe she could give him new filters for his helmet or check its seal for leaks. He’d hate to smell anything like that again. It was all he could do to not vomit and that was a first for him. He’d been in a mudhorn’s reeking cave and a Krayt dragon’s gullet with the Creed knew what else and it hadn’t bothered him a bit. Now… well now he just had to do his best. If he got sick he’d just have to work through it. The information he needed was too valuable to be squeamish about what it took to collect it.
He walked through the room filled with heads on hooks (urp) and wondered if the next room would be better or worse. He stepped past some rubber strips at an opening and almost turned back. This room was full of carcasses. Headless. Split in half from neck to nethers. It smelled so much worse than the prior room. The floor wasn’t slippery with blood, which he was grateful for, but the cleaning agent used to address that made the whole space stink like an old trash compactor.
He swallowed hard and pushed forward. He needed to find the Armorer. He had the beskar spear to turn in. If Grogu had been with him he would have let the little one pick out a piece of armor. But the kid was somewhere with the Jedi. Ossus? Whatever. He was no longer the Mandalorian’s problem. There were surely other foundlings that would need things. It hadn’t seemed that Jedi wore armor, so what would Grogu really need anyway? But still, he had to find his own people.
Uff. Now he was in the proper butcher space. Klatooinians were cutting up smaller parts of the critters they processed. Din Djarin didn’t dislike Klatooinians, but they were the cleanest people he’d ever met. At least the bounty hunters weren’t. These folks looked like simple tradespeople, in the aprons and head coverings. He pitied them. He expected that any person he’d been sent to retrieve, cold or warm, was likely to be the sort of person who didn’t treat their staff well. He sighed.
Kaba Baiz was sitting at a desk and counting credits. The room had hanging carcasses and cutting and weighing equipment in it, which made it a strange place for an office, unless you really, really liked the smell of aging meat. Din Djarin did not like that smell and he had to admit later, when he was finished ‘discussing’ the situation with Baiz and his associates, that might have made him a bit more impatient than he normally was with a bounty.
It hadn’t helped that he’d injured himself with the expletive deleted Darksaber. He’d done fairly well with the strange Jedi weapon initially, but it began to fight him and he didn’t understand it. Of course maybe it didn’t like the smell either, he thought with a hollow laugh. He wondered why a Mandalorian would even make such a thing, but then he didn’t understand why Tarre Vizsla had even been trained by the Jedi. What Mandalorian would voluntarily leave his people to take up such a strange vocation?
But based on the little bit of information he’d been given by Ahsoka Tano, Din Djarin realized that Tarre Vizsla probably had no choice. He would have been a child and not been raised in the Creed or taught to follow the Way. How did he ever become Mand’alor? Just because he had created a Jedi’s weapon using beskar?
That seemed far fetched, but then Din Djarin hadn’t expected to be a Mandalorian either as a child. He had expected to follow whatever path made sense to him at the time. Whatever would make his parents proud of him. Whatever he was capable of doing and enjoyed. In retrospect, he didn’t think he would have been a bounty hunter, but he might have been a pilot… he liked to think that he would have been a chef and made people food they loved to eat. Chefs rarely found themselves in starship fights or without food to eat for days. That was something a bounty hunter just had to get used to.
He laughed to himself again as he hauled the sack with the proof of the bounty collection to the people who had hired him. Grogu would have found it hilarious to know that Din Djarin wished he could have been a chef. Grogu had made it perfectly clear to him that the Mandalorian’s only accomplishment in the culinary field was heating a rations pack and Grogu hated rations. Apparently there was an awful risk that they would contain vegetables and his foundling had demonstrated an absolute horror of vegetables.
Then he had to shake those thoughts away and quickly. Between the pain in his leg and the lingering smell of the abattoir on his armor, he wasn’t feeling great. Then the thought that Grogu would gladly eat anything he’d just seen in the slaughterhouse made his stomach lurch uncomfortably. He wasn’t a squeamish man, but the thought of Grogu not distinguishing between the bodies of the Klatooinians and the critters they had been butchering was just too gross. His stomach was angry with him and he could feel a headache coming on.
Those were signals that he needed to wrap this up and find the Armorer. He needed to take care of his injury, find out more about the Darksaber, and work out how he could pick up his trade again, considering that he no longer had a ship and he really didn’t want to take passenger ships everywhere. He hated paying for more than one fare and he knew from experience that they never had a carbonite chamber when he needed one.
He sighed. Grogu had never needed either of those things and that just made Din Djarin miss his foundling even more. Dank Farrik.

Allah calls Himself Al-Quddoos— The Most Pure, The All-Perfect— on two occasions in the Quran. He is the One who is the absolutely pure in essence and attributes. Al-Quddoos is free from and far above any worldly imperfection, and He is beyond all human understanding of purity and perfection!
The Most Pure, the All-Perfect
Quddoos comes from the root qaaf-daal-seen, which points to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to be pure and clean. The second is to be far removed from impurity or imperfection, and the third main meaning is to be sacred or blessed.
This root appears ten times in the Quran in five derived forms. Examples of these forms are al-qudusi (“the Holy [spirit]”) and al-muqadasi (“the sacred”).
Linguistically, quddoos is on the intense structure of the attribute of quds, which refers to cleanliness or tahaarah and comes from the verb qadasa. Al-Quddoos is ‘clean’ or free from any partner, spouse, or child, from death, from injustice, lying, forgetfulness, error, poverty, and stinginess. Laa ilaaha illa huwa– there is no God but He.
Al-Quddoos Himself says: He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure . . . [Quran, 59:23] Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. [Quran, 62:1]
Subhanallah and alhamdulillah
They said, ‘Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?’ [Quran, 2:30]. The angels glorify and praise Allah al-Quddoos continuously and so does the whole universe. Al-Quddoos created us human beings to worship, glorify, and praise Him as He gave us something different: our hearts.
Using the human heart to reflect on His creations, His perfection and greatness, it realizes that glorification and praise of the Creator is inevitable. So we praise and thank Al-Quddoos (alhamdulillah) and glorify Him (subhanAllah) as He is high above anything that does not befit Him. Isn’t it a blessing to have such a perfect lord, and aren’t we blessed to be able to praise Him?
How can you live by this name?
1.Have a pure belief in Al-Quddoos.
Believe in the oneness of Al-Quddoos and make sure your creed (or aqeedah) is pure by studying the types of tawheed and their practical meanings in your daily life from trustworthy sources, like Kitaab ut -Tawheed (The Book of Tawheed) by ibn Abd Al-Wahhab.
2. Praise Al-Quddoos.
Say alhamdulilah and subhanAllah from the bottom of your heart. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to say in his prayer while in the bowing position (ruku): subboohun quddoosun Rabbul-malaa’ikati war-rooh (praise and Holiness be to You, Lord of the angels and the Soul). [Muslim] You can add this beautiful invocation to enhance your prayer.
3. Purify yourself through prayer.
The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam asked the companions: If someone bathes in a river outside of his house five times a day, will there be any impurity left on him? [Muslim] Visualize your prayer as cleansing your body and soul. Your prayer also protects you: indeed the prayer prevents from the indecency and evil. [Quran, 29:45]
4. Give the best sadaqah.
Give zakah (obligatory) and sadaqah (charity) to “purify” and increase your wealth. Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase. [Quran 9:103] Remind yourself when you give sadaqah to give the best, as Allah is Al-Quddoos and He deserves the best to be given for His sake. Aishah radiyalahu anha used to perfume the charity she gave!
5. Don’t be unjust.
Allah does not wrong a person even to the amount of an atom’s weight [Quran 4:40]. Even if people do dhulm (injustice) to Him, Al-Quddoos never does injustice to people. Allah ‘azza wa jall also made injustice and oppression forbidden for you; so don’t be unjust to anyone, family or stranger, child, adult or even to animals.
6. Be clean.
Be clean inside and out and strive to purify and keep renewing your intentions when you do a good deed. Be thoughtful with your wudu; do your best to not only keep your belongings and house clean, but also your environment by not throwing litter and by removing harmful objects. Consume healthy and permissable food and drink— bought with halaal earnings— and teach children this way of living.
7. Let the Quran purify you.
And who is more truthful than Allah in speech? [Quran, 4:122] The speech of Al-Quddoos is pure and is a cure, healing, and guidance for you to purify yourself. So turn to the Quran to seek cure from the diseases of your heart, let the ayaat help you to improve your character, and recite the Quran daily to clean your heart and bring tranquillity to your body.
8. Ask Al-Quddoos.
The Prophet salallahu’ alayhi wa sallam used to ask Al-Quddoos at the beginning of prayer:
اللهم باعد بيني وبين خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق والمغرب اللهم نقني من خطاياي كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس اللهم اغسلني من خطاياي بالثلج والماء والب
O Allah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice. [Al-Bukharee, Muslim] Use and reflect on this supplication as it contains all forms of purification: distancing (moving far away from dirt and deficiencies), removing dirt or filth, and washing or cleansing, so no impurity remains at the end.
O Allah, Al-Quddoos, we know that You are the absolutely pure beyond imagination. Lead us to a sound belief in Your oneness, help us in purifying our hearts, deeds, and intentions, and guide us to purify our bodies and keep our environment clean. Aid us in performing the best salah, giving the best charity, and helping us to turn to the Quran so we can come to You with a pure heart, ameen!

Oooh perfume/scent discourse, may I chime in 👀 I’ll take any excuse to talk perfumes bc I love perfumes 😌💕
I agree w the consensus that Gaz would smell absolutely delicious/the best. That man takes care of himself, he has a skincare routine and all. I think on the daily, he would use Creed aventus. It would suit him perfectly tbh. For a special occasion, I see him going for a Tom Ford private blend, tobacco vanille maybe. Ysl’s Tuxedo would suit him so well too 👌🏻
As for the others. I can see Soap being indifferent to perfumes but still putting in the effort to smell nice, if that makes sense. He, based on the mohawk, obviously cares about his looks and how he is perceived. This man walked into a Sephora once he was on leave and bought a bunch of the perfumes the salesperson recommended to him. That could have been Prada l’homme, Boss bottled, Dior Sauvage/Sport even.
Ghost doesn’t use any perfume, and other than a hint of the standard issue body wash they provide at base, you can’t detect a scent on him. I feel like allowing himself something so personal and “normal” like a scent/perfume goes against the whole idea of him putting himself out there as “Ghost”, if that makes sense?
I see Price going for something classic when he’s off duty. Aqua di Gio would suit someone of his age perfectly tbh. JPG’s le male is another one.
Alejandro is another one who goes for the classics. Dior’s Fahrenheit just screams classic man to me tbh, and I can definitely see him wear it. Chanel Allure would also suit him so well!
As someone with little to no perfume/scent knowledge, I will take your expert opinion on this lmao.
I agree.

The brand has a rich history of creating bespoke fragrances for royalty and other high-profile clients. Some of the most famous wearers of Creed perfumes include Queen Victoria, Sir Winston Churchill, and Grace Kelly.
Creed Silver Perfume Inspiration
Creed Silver Perfume Mountain Water Millesime was inspired by the crisp, pure air of the Swiss Alps. The fragrance is meant to evoke the feeling of standing at the top of a mountain, surrounded by snow and ice. The fragrance was created by Olivier Creed, the sixth generation of the Creed family to be involved in the business. It was first introduced in 1995 and has since become one of the brand’s most popular fragrances.
The Notes of Silver Mountain Water Millesime:
Silver Mountain Water Millesime is a complex fragrance that combines a variety of notes to create a unique scent. The top notes of the fragrance include bergamot, mandarin, and neroli, which give it a fresh, citrusy scent. The heart notes of the fragrance include green tea and blackcurrant, which add a subtle sweetness to the scent. The base notes of the fragrance include sandalwood and musk, which give it a woody, earthy aroma.
The Packaging :
The packaging of Silver Mountain Water Millesime is just as elegant as the fragrance itself. The bottle is made of heavy glass and has a sleek, modern design. The label features the signature Creed logo and the name of the fragrance in bold lettering. The box that the fragrance comes in is also luxurious, with a silver and black color scheme and the Creed logo prominently displayed.
The Longevity and Sillage:
One of the most impressive things about Silver Mountain Water Millesime is its longevity and sillage. The fragrance lasts for hours on the skin, and the sillage is moderate to strong, meaning that it will leave a noticeable scent trail wherever you go. This makes it a great fragrance for special occasions, as it will leave a lasting impression on those around you.
The Versatility:
Silver Mountain Water Millesime is a versatile fragrance that can be worn in a variety of settings. It’s perfect for daytime wear, as the fresh, citrusy notes make it light and refreshing. However, it’s also appropriate for evening wear, as the woody base notes give it a sophisticated and elegant edge. It’s a great fragrance for any season, as it can be worn year-round.
Pros:
Unique and sophisticated scent: The blend of fresh, aquatic, and woody notes in this fragrance creates a unique and sophisticated scent that sets it apart from other perfumes.
Long-lasting: Silver Mountain Water Millesime has great longevity, lasting for hours on the skin, which means you don’t have to constantly reapply it throughout the day.
Versatile: This fragrance is suitable for both daytime and evening wear, as well as any season, making it a versatile addition to your fragrance collection.
High-quality ingredients: Creed is known for using high-quality ingredients in its perfumes, which means that Silver Mountain Water Millesime is made from the best possible materials.
Luxurious packaging: The heavy glass bottle and sleek, modern design of the packaging give Silver Mountain Water Millesime a luxurious feel that adds to its appeal.
Cons:
Expensive: Creed perfumes are known for being expensive, and Silver Mountain Water Millesime is no exception. It may not be a budget-friendly option for some people.
Not for everyone: While the scent of Silver Mountain Water Millesime is unique and sophisticated, it may not appeal to everyone’s taste. It’s always best to try a sample before committing to a full bottle.
Moderate sillage: While the longevity of this fragrance is impressive, the sillage is only moderate to strong, which means that it may not leave as strong a scent trail as some other perfumes.
Availability: Creed perfumes are not widely available, and it may be difficult to find a store that carries Silver Mountain Water Millesime. Online ordering is always an option, but it may be difficult to know if you like the scent without first smelling it in person.

I hope it's not a weird question but I know you like scents and I wonder what you think Oliver and Felix's perfume would be for canon era and wipip era (I remember you mentioned Acqua di Gio for Oxford Ollie already) I hope you're having a nice week 💕
OMG. YES. I LOVE THIS.
so for canon Oliver and Felix I'm giving myself the challenge of ONLY doing colognes that would've been accessible to them in 2007.
okay, I think Canon/Oxford Days Oliver wouldn't have worn cologne before meeting Felix. I think AFTER meeting Felix, he probably started and picked something classic, but not necessarily something that really fit him? That's why I picked Acqua di Gio. Felix probably helped him pick it out. It's not too expensive and a pretty standard go-to for colognes.
For WIPIP Oliver, I think he finally figured out what he likes. Probably leaning toward spicy, warm, woodsy. I also mentioned he liked cinammon and I think WIPIP Oliver is willing to spend on a good scent, so I was thinking in line with Angels' Share By Kilian.
Canon/Oxford Days Felix, on the other hand, I think really leans toward "masculine" scents and probably likes the most expensive he can get his hands on lol I imagine him being into leathery or amber-heavy colognes, mainly because he thinks it makes him smell "cool" and covers up the smell of cigarettes the best lol so maybe Tuscan Leather Tom Ford or Interlude Man Amouage (I'm leaning toward Interlude Man Amouage more).
WIPIP Felix I think is a bit more in touch with himself for what scents he actually likes. He's fine with a bit more "feminine" (I hate gendering scents but I'm trying to think like a college-aged boy from 2007 ok HAHAHA) vibes and I think leans towards citrus/light scents. The type to smell fresh, like summer and sunlight, maybe a bit floral. Maybe Neroli Portofino Tom Ford, Virgin Island Water Creed, or Replica's Sailing Day and Beach Walk.
Also WIPIP Felix definitely had a bottle of Acqua di Gio that he'd sniff sometimes during all the years apart.
teehee thank you for the fun ask sab <3333

Annotated Alexidas playlist, as inspired by @aeide and @ainulindaelynn. I don't organize or layout when writing or making art most of the time, but I do make playlists to keep myself on track. Beneath cut is explanations, headcanons, justifications. I finally got it to work.
Run Boy Run - Woodkid. Alexios leaving Sparta as a child, running for his life.
Show Him The Ground - Iron and Wine. Boys learning to fight. Rethinking whether learning to fight makes you a strong individual: “Would it make you feel much better to show him the ground?”
Wage Wars Get Rich Die Handsome - The Mountain Goats. My inner mantra while writing Alexios.
Korinth - The Flight. Because Korinth is lifechanging for them.
Ancient Kithera - Kalia Lyraki, Assasins Creed. I like to imagine things playing in the background while they go about their daily lives.
A Spartan Fight - The Flight, Assasin's Creed, Mike Georgiades. Just seems right. I am sure it is not what plays when they meet, but I cannot remember and title wise it makes sense in this order.
Blood Royal - The Mountain Goats. "I remembered you/ I remembered where you come from". Brasidas recognizing who Alexios is, as a Myrinne's son.
How I Get myself Killed - Indigo De Souza. "I need to be kicked/maybe fucked/maybe told I'm in the way./ This is probably how I get myself killed". Brasidas on meeting Alexios. He isn’t wrong.
Braid - Perfume Genius. "Secret is braided/ In between". What made me write Braid. I wanted to explore the intimacy I heard in this song.
Brasidas - The Flight, Assasin's Creed, Mike Georgiades. Ya know. I just picture him smiling at Alexios.
Ancient Celebration - Kalia Lyraki, Assasins Creed. More background music. I think they should drink together while this plays, share soft smiles at each other.
Epitrotos & Iambos - Petros Tabouris, Panos Stefos. More background music.
cherubim - serpentwithfeet. I like to think of love and devotion, how they can twine together to make something so strong that it is a bit off-putting (the song being in a minor key). "I get to devote my life to him/I get to sing like the cherubim./ Boy every time I worship you/ My mouth is full of honey". Sure, there is innuendo, I wanted that. But the song is tense, while the lyrics are full of longing and praise. I think that is how Alexios feels about Brasidas. Not me listening on repeat and learning to draw dick for Alexidas.
Procession of the Olympians - Michael Levy. Background music.
An Angry Blade - Iron & Wine. "Who left you so?" and "You're an angry blade and you're brave but you are alone". Brasidas understands what it is to be a soldier, but he sees something in Alexios that he does not often see in other fighting men. He wants Alexios to let it go. It reminds him of Deimos.
A Happy Family - The Flight, Assasins Creed, Mike Georgiades. This is my favorite song on the ost! I wrote about it before, but I love the shift at 2:51. It's like Myrinne's theme, but...wrong? I like to read it as Alexios being unsure if a happy family is possible (I do not play him as forgiving his father, and if I can stand to continue after Amphipolis, he will not spare his sister. I need to play that at least once. Catharsis?). Can also be read as hopeful, determined to make a happy family possible. But I like drama and being sad.
Die 4 You -Perfume Genius. Alexios' devotion, love as something that pushes you offbalance. This a song apparently about erotic asphyxiation , so sure, maybe it's that too. I don't know.
Safe with Me - Soap&Skin. "No love can be safe with me". Alexios worries about whether it is possible to be good for a partner in a relationship. Whether he, with his job as a mistios and the cult at his back, can be safe for Brasidas. If he had a therapist, he’d probably worry about being too traumatized or something of the sort. But unfortunately, he only has Barnabas (who tries his best).
My Boy (Twin Fantasy) - Car Seat Headrest. "My boy/we don't see each other that much/ It'll take some time/ But sometime down the line/ We won't be alone". Alexidas pining. You know. When you are gay and long distance. As one does.
Valley of the Two Kings - The Flight. Sparta stuff.
Alan - Perfume Genius. GUYS. GUYS. GUYS. This is it. THIS is what I think a good relationship looks like. This is everything I love about being in love. "Did you notice/ We sleep though the night./ Did you notice babe?/ Everything's all right". The joy and surprise of being queer and safe with someone you love. The utter shock at everything being ok. Feeling comfortable in your own skin. (Also I SAW Perfume Genius live and SAW Alan and hooo boy he has nice piano hands, good finger posture. I was entranced. I stared throught he strobe light at his fingers. It freaked out my ex. I do not have good finger posture. I get it, Mike Hadras. Your boyfriend is amazing. )
bless ur heart -serpentwithfeet. Arguably my favorite love song. Having a love that inspires others, that gives each other strength. Knowing you can be safe in that love? Alexios and Brasidas for each other. "Boy, whoever reads about how much I adore you/ I hope my words bring them something new". Being open about your love, having it become something that is passed on. Yeah. That’s some good shit.
Something to Cry About - Daniel Rogers, Ensemble de Organographia. Background music, somewhat unsettling. As Herodotos tells you constantly: There is much to do, and many unknowns on the horizon.
Two Men In Love - The Irrepressibles. "Will you lay down your armor/ and be with me forever?". Well? Is that something they can ask of each other? Is love stronger than duty? Can you put both together?
Forget About - Sibyelle Baiar. "You make me forget about/Past and pain". I think they are an island to each other. I think they are healing for each other. “You do me good”.
Sparta- The Flight. Background music again. Good stuff.
Wood Boy- serpentwithfeet. Alexios' thinking about bottoming. That’s it.
Coast - Shannon Lay. OH wow, I have many thoughts about this song. I listen to this and picture Alexios thinking about how Deimos fought Brasidas at Pylos. "She came for you/ But now you're gone and I'm afraid for you, my friend". Alexios (and I) get weird about the sea: "Darling I am telling you I belong by the sea" for some reason (this is a reoccurring theme in my headcanons). He did not belong by the sea, he belonged by Brasidas side, but here we are. We are stuck at the coast.
Bounty - Tiny Ruins. "Hey, I'm on the run/ Didn't I say I go where I want?" First verse is Alexios as a mistios. "Yeah, You're a wanted man/There's a bounty that keeps us/hand in hand". AU where Brasidas lives and also becomes a mistios.
Heal - Soap&Skin. I don't know, they talk out their traumas and get better together? "Do we heal?" And then they do get better! “Fear used to be near here/ But won’t be anymore/ I have no fear”.
Lost in the Dark Forest of Questioning- Michael Levy. Background music that makes me think they get lost in thought together. Laying with his head in his lap, playing with each other’s hair, eating together.
Age of Kings - The Mountain Goats. "Held you in my arms for the first time that day/ felt like god's anointed when you didn't push me away./Gold light shining on so many things/in the age of kings". Brasidas thinking of the first time he sleeps with Alexios. I think it means a lot to be mutually liked, to not have to portray Spartan ideals with a lover. Also Sparta has two kings, so...age of kings.
Historiography - The Mountain Goats. Loving despite everything going on. Cherishing time together. Not remembering all the details because you are together and you are in love and the world melts down into just the two of you.
The Woods - Daughter. Brasidas thinking about Alexios and his sister.
The Shores of Megaris- The Flight. Yup. Game music.

With the myriad of options available, selecting the perfect fragrance can be both exciting and overwhelming. In this guide, we'll delve into three essential guidelines to help you discover the ideal perfume for men, focusing on both general selections and long-lasting options.
1. Understanding Your Preferences:
Before embarking on your perfume exploration, take some time to identify your preferences. Consider the scents you naturally gravitate towards – are you drawn to fresh, woody, or spicy notes? Understanding your taste is crucial in narrowing down the vast array of options. For men, popular choices often include masculine notes like sandalwood, leather, and vetiver. Take note of any specific ingredients or scents that resonate with you to guide your search effectively.

These fragrances are celebrated for their unique blends, capturing the essence of sophistication and masculinity.
3. Opting for Long-Lasting Fragrances:
For men who value a scent that lingers throughout the day, prioritizing long-lasting perfumes for men is key. Opt for fragrances that boast staying power without compromising on the quality of the scent. Brands such as Creed, Amouage, and Montblanc are renowned for creating exquisite, enduring long-lasting perfumes for men. Look for keywords like "long-lasting" or "intense" when exploring fragrance descriptions. These formulations often incorporate base notes that gradually unfold, ensuring a captivating scent experience that endures from morning to night. Honeysuckles by January Rayne My rating: 5 of 5 stars Thank you to January Rayne for allowing me to have the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book. These thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read all the content warnings provided in the book before diving into this work. Your mental health matters. Tropes (some could also be content warnings lol): -stalker -touch her and die (literally) -non-con -somnophilia -blood play/body fluid shenanigans -possessive mmc -monster romance -primal -dark romance with really dark themes -pregnancy So this is an unhinged dark paranormal monster romance. Which was right up my alley. Usually I am not a fan of non-con, but it made sense in the context of the story. I still got a little bit of the ick, but I couldn't stay mad at the MMC for long. He knew what he was doing was wrong deep down in the human side of him, but having all those random monsters inside of him just made him the derpiest stalker ever. Not sure what that says about me. I will not be examining that about myself any further. Haha! The MMC is a conglomeration of a bunch of different species of monster: dragon, werewolf, snake, vampire, kraken, and possibly more? It seemed a little open ended. He had been experimented on to create a super soldier and they screwed up and made him too strong. They stress tested him to see if certain traits would present themselves and that involved a lot of torture. Naturally he unalives the head doctor and scientists who have mistreated him, and then escapes to a cabin nearby formerly owned by the doctor. He's drawn to town a few miles away by sensing that his mate/beloved is nearby. This brings us to Demi Hawthorne, the FMC. She owns Demi's Diner in town and has a relatively quiet existence. She gets harassed by this douce named Daniel and his posse of idiots at the diner and Creed sees it. Daniel does not live for long. People who have insulted/injured Demi start to go missing. Also, her gyno ends up dead (poor dude). Creed does all the typical stalker things and sets up cameras, puts crushed up ambien in her tea leaves, watches Demi at night (among other things cw). He's like a hybrid species Zade Meadows with a interesting monster peen. Lol. He also does some other unhinged stuff with particular body fluids. Demi's poor friend can't tolerate being near her (he's secretly paranormal) due to Creed putting drops of his urine in her perfume to ward off potential suiters. This only works on paranormals because human dudes are still shitty to her, but then they go poof after Creed finds out about them. I found it surprising that he left her best friend alone, but he was always respectful so I guess that makes sense. Things absolutely get bonkers from there. If I continued with synopsis, there would be way too many spoilers. It's definitely worth the read if you're ok with the cw's. The ride was WILD. View all my reviews

Jicky (Guerlain)
Léa de Lonval -- the wise heroine of Colette's 1920 novel Chéri -- had this to say about the primacy of style over propriety: "Naked, if need be… but squalid, never!" Being a celebrated courtesan, Léa knew quite a lot about being naked. And that she wore Guerlain's Jicky is a given-- for Jicky is her beloved Belle Époque in liquid form.
There is plenty that's naked about Jicky, but certainly nothing squalid. It is neither mad, bad, nor dangerous to know, despite the company it has kept. Colette elle-même; Sarah Bernhardt; Anita Ekberg and Brigitte Bardot; not one but two 007's (Sean Connery and Roger Moore). Jane Birkin wore Jicky before switching to L'Air de Rien, which amounts to a step down in the world for Jane. And Jacqueline Kennedy dabbed it behind her lovely ears, which may be construed as a step up for Jicky.
We cannot know if Alice Keppel -- Edward VII's discreet and congenial maîtresse déclarée -- ever tried Jicky. In Diana Souhami's biography Mrs. Keppel and Her Daughter, Sonia Keppel is quoted as saying that her mother exuded 'a certain elusive smell, like fresh green sap, that came from herself'. She did not say (as Virginia Woolf did of Katherine Mansfield) that her mother reeked 'like a civet cat that had taken to street walking'. If she had, Jicky would have undoubtedly been to blame.
Still, Jicky has more in common with Mrs. Keppel than a first glance might tell. Like "La Favorita", it's the perfect mistress, at once frankly suggestive and marvellously well-behaved. Assertive, heady, and rich, its comportment on skin suggests years of tutelage amidst the best society... and nights whiled away between the finest silk sheets. Finally, in its capacity to charm perfume-wearers of all genders, ages, and classes, Jicky employs the same "gift of happiness" attributed to Mrs. Keppel: "She resembled a Christmas tree laden with presents for everyone."
Jicky begins with a thousand acres of Provençal lavender concentrated into one crystalline drop. It stays there for exactly sixty seconds before transforming into the most remarkable olfactory hologram of a lover's body this side of-- well, the bed. Here is the intimate aroma of the one you adore. He or she is the person with whom you share your life, your heart, your secret inner self; you sleep together every night and reach for one another first thing every morning. With them, your secrets are safe as houses-- and before them, to paraphrase Millay, you are at liberty to "spread like a chart your little wicked ways".
The warm, animalic phase of Jicky's development is due largely to the generous amount of civet with which Aimé Guerlain anchored this composition of sparkling citrus, leather, and herbs. The result is a sinuous beast, delicate and decorous, who enters the room on tiny feet, lashing its tail. Close behind it comes its master -- a jovial, barrel-chested shaving-soap accord, rich with birch tar and vanilla -- who promptly pulls up a chair and offers you a piece of his mind. While he dominates the conversation (and a scintillating one it is, too), our civet sits silent and attentive, every so often yawning or giving its glossy fur a nonchalant lick. It never begs for attention, but it also never quits its master's side. Caught in the nexus between filthy and clean, you sense that you're the victim of a formidable tag team-- and you marvel at their effortless powers of persuasion.
Despite its embrace by the so-called "souls" of that age, Jicky did not debut during the fast-and-loose Edwardian era. It is solidly a product of Victoria's reign, a fact which turns the entire concept of Victorian prudery on its ear. The Queen herself, though straitlaced as any monarch must be, is said to have adored perfume-- particularly Houbigant and Creed, from whom she commissioned Royal Scottish Lavender in honor of her beloved Highlands. The only thing separating Royal Scottish Lavender from Jicky is the sensual frisson of civet, a distinction which also sums up the fundamental differences in character and taste between the duty-minded Queen and her sybaritic eldest son. In short: same genes, but considerably more sex.
If, while sporting Jicky, you likewise experience an uptick in "action", do not be surprised. By the same token, do not believe for an instant that by accepting said "action", your standards have been lowered by one jot. Wearing Jicky does not diminish one's dignity; nor does it deny one's essential pleasure-loving nature. It merely clothes the mammal with art.
Whatever else you choose to wear -- or not wear -- is entirely your own business.
Scent Elements: Lemon, mandarin, bergamot, lavender, rosewood, orris, jasmine, patchouli, rose, vetiver, leather, amber, civet, tonka bean, incense, benzoin
