I opened Pinterest for the first time in months.

That made me realize a lot about how bad I was actually doing and how much of a Waffle House Index use of Pinterest is for adult me, apparently.

I hadn’t realized it had grown that foundational to me in a healthy-brain-exercise-and-hobby-joy way. Nice to know moving forward! It’s another sign I can keep track of and use to spot correlation/indicator patterns earlier my behavior.

hc that when sasuke returns, naruto tries everything to get sakura and sasuke together. he starts off slow with arranging meetings where both of them are present at the same time. he has to work extra hard because sasuke and sakura, while still connected, are not entirely comfortable post THE incident (naruto has started calling sasuke’s defection a pilgrimage).

then he ups the ante. naruto starts nudging them towards each other. assigning missions together, scaring away any other potential suitors, even stealing certain things from sakura so that sasuke can get over his constipated self and make a move.

and naruto is happy when he finally spots sasuke exit sakura’s flat in the early hours of a day with rumpled clothes and doing the classic walk of shame. he expects to be told that they have started dating when sasuke says monotonously that sakura and he have started a fwb arrangement and sakura felt weird about telling naruto that so as a sign of good faith,  sasuke agreed to let him know.

cue naruto losing his patience and shouting at sasuke for being an idiot and promising to end sasuke if he continues being a scoundrel (do you even know what scoundrel means, dobe?) when sasuke loses his patience and hisses:

“it’s between us, you idiot! besides, why do you care this much?”

and naruto stops because how can he say that he’s sick of sakura going out with men and not getting laid and being bitchier than usual? sasuke might be his best friend, but sakura is his person, you know. yes, she doesn’t make sense to him, but naruto would rather die than take sasuke’s side rn after sakura didn’t abandon him for all those years

and thus, operation make uchiha babies starts

Konoha: things have changed in this village, u don't have to be a ninja if u don't wanna :-D But if u do wanna, you make the decision to put ur life on the line at age fucking 12. So, progress but still on the path to dead children. That's our ninja way.

Wow a sarada/boruto accidental kiss. It's just like the naruto/sasuke kiss, except with 1000% less romantic tension

I've found one of the best sns fix-it fics ever and I'm so invested and i love it and it's so good. The only catch? It's not finished, and hasn't been updated since 2020. How am I supposed to continue my life normally now? Maybe y'all have read it, it's Of Harrowed Hearts by @sablescribe, and if you haven't, please read it, I promise you won't regret it. It has tons of fluff but it doesn't abandon the original plot, just some significant changes and istg it's one of the best fics I've ever read

If you've been on this blog for any amount of time, you know how obsessed I am with Peter Lorres portrayal of Joel Cairo, but I really should sing the praises of Mary Astor as Brigid o Shaughnessy more often. Compared to some other 'femme fatales' in films of the time, who's supposed moral failings rather unambiguously disappear thanks to the love of some man they usually just met, I appreciate that there's no reason to assume Brigid truly fell in love with Spade anymore than theres a reason to assume she genuinely was inlove with Thursby or really even Archer.

Honestly, Mary Astor gives my second favourite performance in the film and that's stiff competition. It's a shame that she and Peter Lorre weren't in any other films together(that I know of)
