the challenge where i spawn in the end: super chill. extremely pleasant. i made a house on a lakeshore and went swimming and caught fish. the endermen were my autistic best friends and we were chilling and mining wood together in the beautiful end forest biomes listening to the lovely music

the challenge where i spawn in the nether: from literally the minute i spawned in i was assaulted and killed by a ghast and then i brutally murdered a piglin and took its gold chestplate and ate raw mushrooms for ages and ran from blazes and everything was trying to kill me and i fell in lava and a wither skeleton was there

hey frank have you ever played minecraft with mods? if so, what are your favorite mods? i personally really like thaumcraft and betterend

Sure! Some favorite mods:

Thaumcraft - I never did the main questline in MC, but I play this mod all the time.

Breath - It's a nice physics-based one. You can break the laws of physics, but the game will still work (see e.g. this page)

BiomeGen - There are a lot of things about the base game that get frustratingly repetitive, so I play around with it a bit. My current biomegen mod is called "Jungle" -- it creates a "jungley" environment, with things like rain, mushrooms, etc. Here's a link to download it.

Mangrove - Mangrove swamps can sometimes get really spooky, but they're always really lush and pretty. This mod just adds a few mangroves to the biomegen menu. You can see some more screenshots here of how they look and play in-game.

BETTerend - This mod adds "dollhouses," which are basically rooms where you can place blocks -- furniture, bookshelves, etc. (I use it in conjunction with Jugnooze, a biomegen mod, to fill my world with little, cute houses). You can see more here.

Plants - I don't really get the appeal of the plants.png texture packs, but if you like plantlife then this is a really good mod.

Lingering Fall - Adds an autumn-like aesthetic to the biomegen settings. I think of it as an upgrade to the biomes.png textures.

Skeletons - Adds more skeletons, mostly for aesthetic purposes, as well as some biomegen effects like "bone bridges" (a biomegen mod that turns a lot of blocks into skeletons). Also you can create a "death pit" (just a deep pit, with no floor).

Drowned - Adds drowned underwater mobs, so you can spawn in a sea of skeletons and sea lilies.

Jugnooze - Adds a lot of "dollhouse" blocks for the BETTerend mod

Mojang - Not technically a mod, just a really cool resource pack that lets you make things in Minecraft look like old computer graphics, such as video game text, game icons, etc. (You have to have Java installed to use it, though).

Domebuilder - Adds the Domebuilder texture, which gives the world a 3D look. It makes it less flat.

Vintage - Adds the "Vintage" resource pack which has old computer graphics effects like the Mojang resource pack.

MCC Ender Cup was so amazing!!! I love how beautiful it is, such a wonderful End-themed world for the Minecraft 15th anniversary special!! The cinematics were incredible, and even though all the obelisk galactic and asking for memories all leading to a final movie going through all the updates so far felt a bit like baiting for an End update announcement only to end with the Ender Cup, really it was a good time to have such nostalgia, and I love it and I do hope that an End update is coming soon but even if not, it's clear they know how much we want one...

I know people put cyan plants in the End a lot with mods, but somehow I only just tonight thought of what if the Warped forest of the nether is actually from the End, lol, not just where Endermen take shelter but they're the reason it's there... would be so cool if there is an update that implies that lore, some day! But even if not, we can headcanon it... yes, if there's no End update announced at Minecraft Live this year, we can just headcanon that the Ender Cup environment and/or the BetterEnd mod type stuff is what the End dimension maybe used to look like before whatever happened happened, back in the days of MC Legends etc!

As much as I love betterend and am desperately wishing for another end update, the end being so barren and devoid of anything but flat, basic floating rocks and occasional abandoned structures . The feeling of being alone, so alone that it's eerie and suffocating . The music in the end . It feels like you aren't supposed to be there, it's a good sense of other . And I like it

HONESTLY I'm a fabrichead because one of my fave mods (mythic metals and mythic mounts) is fabric only.... (DOES HAVE AN OLD ENOUGH VERSION 4 YOU) wipes away a tear from my eyes... also cheating is based if it helps you have a better game play experience never forget this

I'm honestly not a big betternether head but it's very fun :] BETTEREND THOOOOO mmm that's the good stuff. Would also like to shoutout incendium vrry good nether mod... I checked and it doesn't have backwards compatibility but betterend does!!!

Other then that I don't have any particular faves but I looooove jade and jei.... I love you sodium... I love things that let me have a good time playing game....
