This unusual home is literally for the birds. It’s bordering a sanctuary (and, as a result, they give the owner a break on the taxes). In Edgewater, Maryland, it’s called “Grizzly Acres,” comes w/20 acres of beautiful wooded property, and is listed for $899.5K.
You’re allowed to have horses, etc., here, too. Take a look inside this unique home.
The house itself is build with various woods from trees taken from the property, and the doors are all from architectural salvage.
You can have chickens on the property.
Some people don’t like the blue tile counters, but I’ve always liked them. And, they match the cool blue fridge.
You can barely see it, but in the sunroom there are little birdhouses built into each corner of the room.
The home is large, yet cozy, at the same time.
One of the showers in a bathroom- very nice.
Look at this feature- nesting cubbies built right into the side of the house.
There are 3 cozy bedrooms.
Plus 3 baths.
Look at the molding around this vintage door- remember all the doors are different and come from salvage.
There are several flexible spaces in the house.
How convenient is a laundry area with a fridge?
The property is glorious in every season.
And, if you’re a bird lover, this is a paradise.
